so let's paint a picture, you're casually in school, feeling depressed because when are you not? your teacher drones on in the background as you scribble notes in your book lazily.

you're trying to drown out in your teacher one minute and then the next you're staring at the door to the manor.

oh. okay.

you're understandably a little puzzled but you brush it off, it's not the first time you've disassociated, it hadn't happened in a while but you're under a lot of stress with school and the crippling sorrow threatening to swallow you.

so you open the door, completely unaware you're walking to your doom, you step inside, your head hung low as you morosely walk in, not excited to be back in this manor of gloom and doom.

and then you hear it, a loud, absolutely offended shriek -- to which you don't look, it's not any of your business, they're probably just playing around without you, indulging in their inside jokes.

and then you're embraced, tightly, too tightly.

"what the--" you're.. being hugged? is alfred feeling alright?--

and then you see the jet-black hair you've seen countless times in passing, and then you feel the warmth of his body against yours, and then he looks up at you -- eyes wild and focused on you. only on you.

"what the fuck?" you're genuinely, so unbelievably confused. have you died? is this heaven?

"you're-- you're alive? this is real?" bruce breathes out, your father is looking at you. looking at you like you're his child, your lips tug into a thin line as you watch as the rest of the clowns join the circus.

you probably don't even notice the fact that you've switched universes at first.

like, you're so confused but also lavishing in the attention-- i mean, this is what you've wanted your whole life, right?

bruce is hanging off your every word, no longer does he brush you off or ignore you, he stares at you intently -- memorising every part of your face, every twitch of your muscles, every single detail of you, his precious child, alive in the flesh.

dick clings onto you way too much. every waking moment of the day he's by your side, sometimes he'll hug you tight, his hand gently snaking to press against the pulse point on your wrist, his eyes strangely darkened as he feels your pulse thumming against your skin.

jason is similar to dick in this scenario, the guilt from the incident weighing heavy on his mind, he doesn't let you out of his sight, he's always lingering. he's also way more protective in a smothering way, you're cooking? don't be silly, you might cut yourself! you're running around? slow down, you might fall! you're leaving the manor? why? what do you need? don't leave him, please, never again.

tim is a lot more .. atuned to your emotions. he regularly asks how you feel, at first it's more-so because he is truly glad you're back, he wants to make up for the past! but after a while, it gets to a point where it feels like you're being studied. he's just making sure you're not upset, that you're not thinking of leaving, again.

damian is downright terrifying, not in a violent way, but in a way that you're not sure how to react.. i mean, he used to be the one to belittle you the once, seeing him being so.. gentle. it's unnerving! he's almost kind to you? he'll soften his words, urge you to rest, it's .. strange. very strange.

after a while, the attention gets suffocating. very suffocating. you enjoy the attention, in fact, you've never been happier. but since coming home since that one day, you've not had a moments peace.

you wake up, someone's hovering over you. you go to eat, someone's making sure you don't choke. you're going for a walk? no, you're not.

it gets loathsome, you feel like a porcelain doll. you're not allowed any freedom, you don't go to school anymore -- anytime you bring it up you get strange looks.

that's not the only oddity. you feel different, stranger. not only are you taller, but your mind is different, and while buying something from the store, you notice an id. what? an id that says your age is twenty-one.

and another thing, alfred, the man you consider a father, is dead. dead. like, buried in the ground dead.

if you try to bring it up with your family, they share strange looks. they won't tell you, no, they want to keep you happy -- want to ignore the fact that you're not really their y/n, so don't bring it up too often. kay??

To be fair, I chose a bad time to ask for asks because mannnn the WORK I need to be doing right now… I’ll throw out some silly headcanons I have :]]

• So I generally ship them kinda platonically? Kinda not. They’re besties in my eyes. Absolute ride-or-die best friends til the end. May that friendship occasionally involve a little bit of making out, as totally-just-best-friends tend to do? Perhaps… May it involve a little bit of uhhh, let’s say exploration? Possibly… I mean, name a pair of best friends that don’t bone each other after one too many Energon cubes and a long night of giddily enjoying one another’s company? Exactly.

• Junkions in my mind are so crazy with the public displays of affection it’s wild. They’re hugging and kissing and dancing with total strangers in TF1986, you’re telling me they aren’t going ham on each other? I don’t have to repeat myself about the planet-wide polycule thing with Wreck-Gar the leader at the top of the pecking order, but I do think that the hivemind mentality may have ramifications for Wreckrod as a ship. By that I mean, I think Wreck’s very special friendship with Hot Rod may also translate to the rest of the clan. If Hot Rod had to say it himself, “This is my boyfriend, and my boyfriends one hundred thousand sparkmates who protect me with their lives.” I have very complex thoughts about how the Junkions function in general and how they came about, as well as the viability of them not having access to Wreck for long periods of time, but I’ve found ways to let the Junkions continue on as normal while their leader goes off on silly adventures with his pal. That way is, they have set work schedules planned millennia in advance. They’ll be just fine for a couple of years, but it might cause some unexpected sparkache in Wreck to be gone for too long.

• Going in with my favourite — When they first met and Hot Rod gave him the universal greeting, Wreck had absolutely no fucking idea what it meant. Like, it would be so ridiculously funny if his recollection of their first meeting was essentially — he saw a really handsome red and orange robot talk utter gibberish right to his face and thought “wow fr?? You’re saying total nonsense rn?????? That’s crazy of you let’s be best friends forever and ever and ever”. A whole relationship built on stupidity <3

• I’m always thinking about that dip they do when they’re dancing… Why’d you do that, Roddy? Why’d you cradle that giant manifold robot in ur arms and dip him ballroom-dance-style like that? A question I’ll never have an answer to, but one that I like to think about often…

• Oh? An absolute banger nickname headcanon? Wreck calls Hot Rod “Rodney” because why wouldn’t a cockney TV-talking robot name his new bestie after the bloke off Only Fools and Horses? Way easier to say that over “Rodimus Prime” at the very least. Not to mention, like, how absolutely drop-dead adorable is that for a nickname? C’mon now… It’s SO cute. They meet up again after a long time apart at some Council of Worlds ambassador meeting, everything has been so formal and respectable so far, and out bounds this Junkion who is so excited he’s shouting the silliest human-orientated nickname for a Prime. What a goober. No social decorum. Probably tackle-hugs him too. If he’s gonna do that to a total stranger in Collect and Save (TFLegends 2004) then I can’t see why he wouldn’t absolutely knock his bestie to the ground in front of every diplomat in the galaxy.

• In G1 S3, when Wreck shows up again for the first time in the cartoon, Ultra Magnus has no idea what he’s talking about (for obvious reasons, bro is talking TV…). But not only does Rodimus understand him perfectly, he can translate! Bilingual king moment for Roddy, but also I like the idea that they actually chat over comms all the time and Rodimus has got really good at understanding TV-Talk, though maybe with a little bit of help from Kup as well, since he also knows a few phrases here and there. Maybe he “studies” TV as well so he can expand his vocabulary for his buddy? I bet on trips to Cybertron it can get a little awkward or distressing when no one understands what Wreck is trying to say, but Roddy is there coming in clutch to translate.

• I think it would be cute if all the Junkions developed a sort of shyness to Cybertronians after a while. It becomes a little too obvious when you hang out with Autobots all the time that your frame is just spare parts and scrap metal, so Wreck likes to be in motorcycle-mode more often than not. That’s okay though, because being his partner’s off-road ride to anywhere means they’re always together on adventures. I think it would be silly if we get a couple centuries in and Rodimus’ current companion group don’t even realise that his motorcycle is a sentient bot. Like, oh, isn’t it weird that our captain sleeps in the garage with his motorcycle? Isn’t it weird that he speaks to it and pets it and gave it a name? They probably assume the TV-talk is quite literally just radio babble that happens to occasionally line up with what Rodimus is saying. That’ll be a fun surprise for everyone when suddenly this big ol’ Junkion appears and starts manhandling their leader.

Whole (chonny, the guy himself…ish??) was dumped by a girl then split into three (literally, metaphorically, smthn else?? maybe the hms are physical, maybe hes in a coma and fighting with himself, maybe it’s just inner demon stuff as he writes songs. prolly the last one). then they fight and heart shoots mind then soul blinds heart bc theyre supposed to stick together and then they do other stuff and make up and get mad—thing stuff!! angst and goober potential!! SO. MUCH. ANGST. GIVE THE MEN SOME ROOM TO B r e a T H e gosh dangit. they do have literal designs bc chonny cosplays in the music videos, but lots of people make their own designs. heart has wings oftentimes, mind is a partial robot, and soul has a trident + sometimes half-n-half stuff. but stuff can switch up!! me and a friend rainworld-ified the four 👀✨. OK. Leo in your inbox this time. My understanding of the overall AWNM lore and plot is predictably sparse and scattered... 1.6 mil words and Lotus flavoured tunnel vision will do that to a dumbass like me. But you brought up the concept of Mk-X Lotuses and now I'm curious!

Mk-1 Lotus I assume is the product of the "rite of passage" all Lotus writers go through where we try to figure out wtf's going on with her mental state, how she views her place in the world, her relationship with the Tenno, her opinion of the real Margulis, etc, etc. This, i assume, is your establishing shot for Mk-1 Lotus in the earlier books.

Mk-2 Lotus is, as you put it, a goober. Who likes to read lesbian smut and is adorably terrible at hiding her feelings. Lost her first kiss to a fish then turned into a wyrm... I think, do correct me on that.

So who's Mk-3 and Mk-4 Lotus? What happened to them? Are they all totally separate from each other? Where does Chapter 202 Lotus fall under? Can I get a Lotus glossary? Should i leave ur inbox and just keep reading? And I haven't even tapped into your Margulis yet?!?!?

Alright, alright.... hmmmmmm.... I'm gonna have to tweak the version numbers here.

So...

Lotus Mark 1: she's basically just part 1 Lotus, and just as you say, I didn't really know what I was doing with her. Shes kinda bland and is basically just a side character.

Lotus Mark 2: The Lotus of parts 2 and 3. She has a more distinct character, though is relatively erratic in expressing herself. I was still finding my footing with her, especially after cheating Ballas his due and keeping Original Margulis alive in part 2.

Lotus Mark 3: Part 4 and 5 Lotus. The Broken One. You read her brainwashing sequence in part 4, and that left her absolutely shattered, especially after seeing that the universe she was conditioned to live within was nothing but an illusion. We don't see much of her.

Lotus Mark 4: The Giggling Lesbian. Basically the version of the Lotus that's just stopped giving as much of a fuck. She's lost everything all over again and decided to try and become her own person. I wish she was around longer, she was a genuinely lovely person.

Natah Amaga: She is where this Lotus ends. Corrupted by the Duviri Paradox she is an imperfect blend of every iteration of the Lotus that came before. She still lives on to the present, and has just been brought back. She is a girlkisser.

Lotus Mark 5: Near Canon Compliant post TNW Lotus, with extra separation anxiety. I don't know how much of her you've seen, but shes probably more unstable and fragmented internally than MK-3 Lotus. She's about to come face to veiled face with Amaga, which promises to be extremely interesting. She also seems to be a bit of a girlkisser, though is perhaps keeping that on the dl.

As for Margulis...

She shows up early in part 2, just straight up regular Archimedean Margulis, paired unwillingly with Ballas, future mother of the Tenno. Hers is a story that never really seems to end, playing roles in every part except the first. You might have to comb back through to get her full story.

She and the Lotus do not kiss. Though they are relatively close friends at points.

I'm sure I've left something out since this is all just as I remember it.
