please please PLEASE tell us about your plane au, ive been SO curious about it 👀

theres like a lot and not that much going on in it, youd have to be specific bc i suck at giving general summaries of my aus

buuut the basic gist of it is that wolfwood finds a plane wreck on a scrapyard in nowhere, middle-of dating back to the space-faring age and decides to either try to fix it or sell the parts

over time he discovers that its not a normal jet and befriends the suspiciously human-sounding co-pilot ai thats been hellbent on gaslighting him into believing that hes a good person capable of kindness and deserving of love

somewhere down the line the peacemaker gets fixed enough to fly, crashes again and gets recovered by the bernardelli crew, the grand reveal happens and the ai turns out to be a plant guy that got fused into the engine and took over the whole thing, turning the plane into a biomechanical eldritch monstrosity

there’s many reasons why I don’t think kylar would ever be on the dominant side but I feel as though it really couldn’t get any more direct than this

fun thing but how do you think that Scylla would be made? and I'm talking costume wise if this production would be done. I think it would be cool to have giant paper mache heads that ensemble actors hold up and run around to attack the soldiers

I really like the doing the puppet route (not just for Scylla, but for other things in Epic as well) I’m not sure as to materials, but I would think it really cool if all the different heads were able to be moved on their own, despite being attached maybe to a central point? Or possible the heads coming from different areas depending on the stage area Epic is being performed on. A bit ago I drew this, which is what I would imagine it would somewhat look like. It would be fairly large, with the heads partially connected to the ceiling, and also puppeteer by people on the ground. Maybe a central figure could be the dining part of Scylla? Like the whole light thing on an angler fish? When it comes to theater I unfortunately don’t have as much experience on the tech side as I do costumes and acting, so I can’t say 100% how it would work, but this would be fun for a big scale production at least!!

Hm.

My opinion is... neutral at the moment. Seeing an almost direct copy of yourself is a bit jarring, but theres been worse things in my life.

Its mannerisms are quite odd, however.
