posse’s curry track managed to sneak in character plot beats that probably needs to be addressed within canon lol so i was thinking the others are the same and so like
🔴: jiro and saburo needed to get ichiro to talk about his plans with them and even get him to consider different options in order to stay true to who they are
🔵: the usual rio hijinks lol but samatoki and juto worked behind the scenes to stop rio’s madness (he’s crazy m he’s crazy m—)
🟡: posse lol
⚪️: hmmmmm……….
🟠: rosho conducted sasara’s plans, kept rei and sasara on track and got their end goal, rosho doing all the heavy lifting for those two bums pray for rosho y’all lmao
🟣: kuukou be doing too much, pls stop him lol
#vee queued to fill the void#rio is one of the handful of people who’s solo didn’t change much between the two#dice is another and coincidence in the same track they made their moves????? i think not—#one month away until canon starts y’all!!!!! i don’t expect it to happen until june actually hits#but that means we’ll be getting the bb solo previews soon!!!!! maybe we will get an update on this week’s stream???? 👀#but mtr is kinda stumping me lol#i had an idea for it but i forgot what i wanted to say and it hasn’t come back to me 😭😭😭😭😭#doppo is (a bit surprising at this point tbh) still self deprecating to the point he thinks has no say in their team curry#hifumi uh was coming up with ideas and how to execute everyone else’s#jakurai was getting carried away with the team building exercise and almost forgot his main perogative#so if anything i think that would be the point of focus but where is that applicable to canon at this point lol#him focusing back to yotsutsuji now that he has more pointers??? or we talking about ramuda???? idk lol

just spent the last day and a half binge reading perfect slaughter and
woah
just can't wait for the next chapter, obsessed with your writing and waiting with baited breath for the happy ending part to come in!!
Hey anon!! So glad you survived and enjoyed the emotional turmoil of the last 1.5 days then, I can't imagine 😂
It's great to hear everyone's excited for part three, I really am too!! There's a lot of threads from previous parts that finally get woven together, more recognizable NPCs to meet/see again, and of course, Our Boys as always getting closer and closer despite the hardships and peril. Lots of that, too, but always remember that promised happy ending folks!!
It's funny, I don't think I've ever been this invested in my own fanfic or pairing like this before, and one of them is an OC (something I previously disliked reading, much less writing!). Then again, I know I've never had readers this engaged, supportive, and inspired with their own lovely creations, so thanks to you all. Baldur's Gate really has turned my life upside down in the best ways 💙
As stated before, expect an update Thursday night/Friday!
#fic: perfect slaughter#ask me anything#writing update#rolled some more dice for the final boss battle last night#and I'm soooooo excited about the ending

Oh god the new cotl trailer is dragging me right back in... Damn you goat why must you relight my interest in this game so
#rat rambles#Im still pissy abt the balance changes they made last update but Im starting to be more willing to play again#hopefully theyll rebalance fragile relics as a whole in the next update they need them so bad#cannot emphasize enough that the dice went from one of the best relics to literally the actual worst ones by becomibg fragile#which they needed nerfed I agree with that I just hate how lazy the nerf was and how they might as well have been deleted from the game#all the last balance patches did is make the game less fun imo which is why I dropped the game so hard#but my interest is being relit and Im hoping they learn better this time#anyways look away Im going to be cringe and have hcs for a second#so yeah I've secretly had a bunch of cotl hcs this whole time and the goat fits quite nicely into them actually#I dont actually hc them as from another universe and more from another plain of existence#mostly the plain we only get glimses of being the sea where the dead lie#the goat is basically a god of this sea and in particular I imagine them as smth of a god of souls#the reason their crowns are so similar is two fold with part of it just being that they work with similar domains and most of it being that#the beings that created these crowns were sibling gods who embodied the gateways of death#in my hcs the crowns do often lead their hosts in certain directions in their own unique ways so the goat was likely lead by their crown#the main thing that seperated them before was life and death but the lamb has done a great job at breaking those boundaries#anyways now the lamb and goat can be bad people together <3#the lamb is sitting here with their internal reasonings and sense of self righteous and the goat is just here to have fun#anyways back to not talking abt cotl hcs these guys are not my blorbos I just like worldbuilding

What's in the Shop?
Quite a few liquid-core chonk d20s at the moment! All of them are currently 20% off from now until May 14th!
There are also a few new things Coming Soon! These are some limited-run dice and some production sets are in the works!
Also some raw mystery dice may be coming soon! I still have to work out the logistics of that one, but it looks like it would be 2 standard d20s and a d6. These would be straight from the molds, so some mold lines and minor defects may be visible, but all that they would need to be usable would be some paint in the numbers if you don't mind some minor defects (this is how a lot of my personal dice are!)
I'm also hoping to re-open commissions soon! My goal is to have them open up again in the beginning of May!
#mj's shop talk#artificer dice shop update#I promise i am still working on things behind the scenes#things have been weird here in the artificer household since the weekend of easter#which means i've been more productive as an avoidance mechanism which is fine since it means the stuff i've been avoiding is done now#which has been a major roadblock but now I have essentially both reworked the entirety of Artificer's branding as well as the structure#I'm excited to get the production set samples all made and photographed to share with you all#we're adding d6 sets as an option as well which is fun#i still have to figure out how I would want to do custom faces but that is also a project i'm working on#anyway I tried the whole posting schedule thing and after a week I got overwhelmed so I'm still trying to figure that out

[Game of Dice] Joker Skills
*Originally made to post to my YouTube community as each week I put something about Game of Dice there. This is also posted here, to Tumblr, to archive it.
Almost every Joker character (character with a hidden skill) has their skill based on an existing skill. Some just exist on that Joker skill, not as a regular skill. I usually explain new Jokers' skills by saying the name of the existing skill rather than explain what the skill does, since it's easier to say the name of the skill. :)
Anyway here's a list of all the Jokers with what skill it's based on cause I love having random knowledge for this game. Even the ones not based on skills.

*5.19.2024: Originally said combine based on it being 2 skill reruns (first skill of the week is always a draw) and that we only just had a Fixed Rate one month ago, figured it wouldn't be enough time to have another Fixed Rate (and based on my lux points in game being only 16k right now, I also base the rerun on my lux points since you usually earn enough between Fixed Rate events). But anyway, it's a Fixed Rate (reminder it costs 18,900 lux points to obtain all cards).

Your long and arduous journey has led you to this, the final confrontation. You thought you knew what to expect, but just as you struck the final blow, your ultimate foe's eyes gleamed with unnatural light as they proclaimed…
THIS ISN'T EVEN MY FINAL FORM
A game for 4–6 players
Introduction
This Isn't Even My Final Form is a GMless tactical minigame for 4–6 players. You'll take on the roles of a party of heroic adventurers nearing the end of a world-spanning quest to defeat a great evil, the Final Boss. Unfortunately for them, each time they think they've won, the Final Boss assumes a new, even more horrifying form, and the struggle begins anew. Is there any end to this conflict? There's only one way to find out!
What You'll Need
This Isn't Even My Final Form requires a dozen six-sided dice, as well as a way of keeping track of a few important numbers – a shared text document or some scrap paper will suffice.
Update 2023-10-30: Print-and-play card decks are available here:
http://penguinking.com/this-isnt-even-my-final-form/
Character Creation
Choose two of the following actions to be your Party Member's Class Actions: Strike, Heal, Buff, Debuff. If you'd rather determine this randomly, roll on the following table.
1. Strike, Heal 2. Strike, Buff 3. Strike, Debuff 4. Heal, Buff 5. Heal, Debuff 6. Buff, Debuff
Give your Party Member's Class a name which suits your Class Actions. Also give your Party Member a name; it is traditional but not obligatory for your Party Member's name to have exactly five letters.
Playing the Game
Play is divided into a series of Phases. During each Phase, one player takes on the role of the Final Boss. That player's Party Member does not participate in this Phase; they're trapped, lost, incapacitated, or otherwise separated from the party or unable to act for the duration of the Phase. All other players take on the roles of their Party Members.
The Final Boss player's first order of business is to describe what the current Phase looks like. The Final Boss player can roll 1–3 times on the following table (re-rolling duplicates) to decide on a theme, or use it as inspiration for their own theme. To use this table, roll a six-sided die twice, treating the first roll as the "tens" place and the second roll as the "ones" place, yielding a number in the range from 11 to 66.
11. Beasts 12. Bells 13. Blood 14. Bones 15. Chains 16. Chaos 21. Cubes 22. Eyes 23. Fire 24. Flowers 25. Food 26. Games 31. Gears 32. Glass 33. Gold 34. Hands 35. Holes 36. Ice 41. Iron 42. Light 43. Mazes 44. Meat 45. Mirrors 46. Music 51. Orbs 52. Order 53. Plague 54. Shadow 55. Slime 56. Space 61. Spikes 62. Teeth 63. Time 64. Trees 65. Weapons 66. Wings
Once the Phase has been defined, set the party's Momentum to zero. Momentum is a value which will increase or decrease over the course of the Phase; it has a minimum value of zero, and no particular upper limit.
Play proceeds in a series of rounds, as follows.
The Final Boss Attacks
The Final Boss always goes first in each round. Roll one die:
1–3: The Final Boss chooses one of the following actions. 4–5: The Final Boss chooses two of the following actions. You may not target the same Party Member twice; however, you may use the same action on two different Party Members if you wish. 6: The Final Boss does nothing this round. On its turn next round, it does not roll and instead uses its Ultimate Attack.
Wound: Inflict the Critical Condition on a single Party Member. If the chosen Party Member already has the Critical Condition, it's replaced with the Down Condition and the party loses one Momentum.
Imprecate: Inflict the Cursed Condition on a single Party Member.
Envenom: Inflict the Poisoned Condition on a single Party Member.
Bewilder: Inflict the Confused Condition on a single Party Member.
Counter: If you're targeted by the Strike or Debuff actions this round, after resolving that action, perform the Wound action on the Party Member who targeted you. You may counter any number of actions in this way.
Dispel: Remove the Buffed and Protected Conditions from any number of Party Members.
Enrage: The Final Boss rolls two dice and takes the better result on its next action. The party may cancel this benefit with a successful Debuff action; doing so removes the extra die instead of forcing the Final Boss to roll twice and take the lower result.
Ultimate Attack: This action can only be chosen by rolling a 6 during the previous round. When the Final Boss uses this action, choose Cursed, Poisoned, or Confused: you may perform the Wound action AND inflict the chosen Condition upon any number of Party Members, in that order. (i.e., Wound each targeted Party Member, THEN Curse/Confuse/Poison any who remain standing.)
The Final Boss player describes the outcome of the chosen action(s) in as much or as little detail as they like; control then passes to the other players.
The Party Acts
After the Final Boss has attacked, each Party Member who doesn't have the Down condition chooses one of the following actions, in any order the players wish. After choosing any action other than Defend, the player rolls their dice pool, which is a handful of six-sided dice constructed as follows:
Start with a number of dice equal to the party's current Momentum (initially zero, though it will grow over the course of the Phase)
Add one die if you're performing one of your Party Member's Class Actions
Add one die if your Party Member currently has the Buffed Condition
Add one die if your Party Member currently has the Critical Condition
Roll all of the dice together, and find the highest result. Ties for the highest result have no special significance; for example, if you rolled four dice and got 1, 3, 5 and 5, your result is 5. If you'd ever end up with zero or fewer dice for any reason – either because your dice pool was empty to begin with, or because some effect obliged you to discard every die you rolled – you receive an automatic result of 1.
If an action requires you to target a specific Party Member or make other choices, you can wait and see the result of your roll before making those decisions.
Strike: You attack the Final Boss. Roll your dice pool:
1–3: Nothing happens – either the attack misses, or the Final Boss turns out to be immune to whatever you just did. 4–5: The attack strikes true. The party gains one Momentum. 6: Critical hit! The party gains two Momentum.
Special: If you roll triples or better (i.e., at least three of the same number) on a Strike action, the Final Boss' current Phase is defeated, and you move on to the next Phase. It doesn't matter what number comes up triples.
Heal: You attempt to restore the party's strength. Roll your dice pool:
1–3: You may remove the Critical Condition from a single Party Member. If no Party Member has the Critical Condition, nothing happens. 4–5: You may remove the Critical Condition from any number of party members OR you may remove the Down Condition from a single Party Member. 6: You may remove the Critical and Down Conditions from any number of party members.
Buff: You attempt to bolster a party member. Roll your dice pool:
1–3: You may grant the Buffed Condition to a single Party Member OR remove a Condition of your choice other than Critical or Down from a single Party Member. 4–5: You may grant the Buffed Condition to a single Party Member AND remove a Condition of your choice other than Critical or Down from that Party Member, if they have one. 6: You may grant the Buffed Condition OR remove a Condition of your choice other than Critical or Down to any number of Party Members. You may choose a different option for each targeted Party Member.
Debuff: You attempt to weaken the Final Boss. Roll your dice pool:
1-3: Nothing happens – it turns out the Final Boss was immune to that effect. 4–5: The Final Boss rolls two dice and takes the lower result on its next action. 6: The Final Boss rolls two dice and takes the lower result on its next action AND the party gains one Momentum.
Defend: You may grant the Protected condition to a Party Member of your choice. Do not roll.
Based on the outcome of your roll (if applicable), describe the outcome of your action in as much or as little detail as you wish.
Once each Party Member has acted, return to "The Final Boss Attacks" to begin the next round.
Ending the Phase
As noted above, rolling triples or better on a Strike action results in the immediate defeat of the current Phase. Alternatively, if all Party Members simultaneously have the Down Condition, the Final Boss player's Party Member suddenly breaks free or arrives on the scene and rescues everyone in a stunning deus ex machina; this also ends the Phase, but does not count as defeating it.
In either case, reset the party's momentum to zero, remove all Conditions, and move on to the next Phase. The role of the Final Boss passes to a different player, with preference given to those who haven't yet had a chance to be the Final Boss; the previous Final Boss player resumes playing their Party Member.
Continue until the party has defeated a number of Phases at least equal to the number of players, or until mutual agreement has been reached that all this has gone on quite long enough.
Conditions
Some actions can impose Conditions upon the individual Party Members. Conditions can be positive or negative, and last until specific conditions for their removal are met.
Buffed: Your strength has been boosted. When rolling your dice pool, you roll one extra die.
Confused: You've lost your wits. When the party acts, your action is determined by rolling a d6 – 1: Strike; 2: Heal; 3: Buff; 4: Debuff; 5: Defend; 6: do nothing this round AND remove this Condition. This Condition is also removed if you gain the Critical Condition while under its effects. You may choose targets normally if the rolled action requires them. Confused Party Members always act before their un-Confused peers; if there are multiple Confused Party Members, the Final Boss decides the order in which they act.
Critical: You are badly wounded. Desperation lends strength, and so this Condition adds one extra die to your dice pools; however, if you suffer the Critical Condition a second time, it becomes the Down Condition instead.
Cursed: You've been afflicted with misfortune. Discard your highest result after rolling your dice pool, but before applying your chosen action's effects. If there's a tie for the highest result, discard all of them; for example, if you roll four dice while Cursed and get 1, 3, 5 and 5, your result is 3. If the Condition causes you to discard your only set of triples of better on a Strike action, the Phase does not end.
Down: You are incapacitated by injury or foul enchantment. When the party acts, you may not choose an action; your action remains lost even if this Condition is removed before the end of the round. When you gain this Condition, remove all other Conditions, and the party loses one Momentum. (This is not in addition to the Momentum loss noted by effects which inflict this Condition – those are just reminders.) You may not gain other Conditions while this one persists.
Poisoned: You're afflicted by a poison, plague, or death-curse. If you have the Poisoned Condition after resolving your action for the round, you gain the Critical Condition. If you already have the Critical Condition, you instead gain the Down Condition, and the party loses one Momentum.
Protected: The next time you would gain any Condition other than Buffed, remove this Condition instead. You also remove this Condition if you take any action other than Defend on your turn.

An update! And a plea. Queso is back to normal! ... kinda. It's looking like the clavicle break may have been an old injury that healed weird. Because of this, there's not really anything further that can be done. But there are still a LOT of vet bills. If you enjoy my birds and my posts, I implore you to read on and consider helping if you are able.
After the initial visit that was around $700, I was able to get that down between donations, and sales on my etsy stores + conventions. But, after weekly vet visits during the time his wing was bandaged and the final x-rays, that's now back up to around $900. I'm definitely struggling a bit because of this.
No pressure of course, but if you are able to help, me and my birds would be eternally grateful. There are a few different ways to do this:
- my PayPal is: https://www.paypal.me/PepperAndPals
- my Venmo is amandabl89
- Buy something from my etsy! I'm also working on some more Queso dice: cinniharpyscrafts.etsy.com

Big archive update: character cards and level-ups!
We are thrilled to add two big updates to the Omen Archive site: 1) a character card archive and 2) level-up data for the entirety of Campaign 3.
Visit our Character Cards page to view the entire party’s cards level by level.
Meanwhile, you can also visit an individual character’s page to view all of that character’s cards at once. These pages are fully interactive, so if you’d like to see, for instance, Laudna’s cards for Level 6, Level 11, and Level 14 side-by-side without the others in between, you can!
Secondly, we have added charts showing level-up information for all nine primary members of Bell’s Hells at every level!
These charts show information like hit points, AC, spell slots, spells known, proficiencies, and class-specific details like number and type of superiority dice for Orym or blood curses known for Chetney.
Our site has an interactive version of this chart, which you can find in full at https://omenarchive.com/c3/level-ups/ for the whole party. Each character’s chart also shows up on their page.
But wait, there’s more!
For those of you who prefer good ol' Excel, the chart also exists in Google Sheets as a spreadsheet.
We hope you enjoy these new tools. This is our first attempt at interactive data visualization, so if you see any bugs or encounter any usability issues (or spot any missing details), please let us know at [email protected].
(Also, regarding character cards: note that there are some minor variations on some of the cards that have yet to be added—for instance, some of Chetney’s wolf form cards—but all the major players are present.)

If you've just discovered Billford from the Book of Bill you'll enjoy:
Knowing Me Knowing You on ao3!
If you're looking for fanfic to read that hits on the key dynamics from the Book of Bill, (despite the bulk of the fic existing before the books release) look no further! In the interest of tooting my own horn, to celebrate the new chapter I'd like to recommend a fic inspired by ABBA BABBA's musical back catalogue!
If you read the book of bill and wanted to see more of:
toxic old man yaoi billford
pre-betrayal worshipful billford (plus canon typical gravity falls anomaly research and hijinks)
post betrayal angsty possession billford (with bonus BORD!)
interdimensional cat and mouse portal billford (catch me if you can!)
Stanford getting it on with a triangle (and a human bill pre-betrayal) in many weird and wonderful ways
complex relationship dynamics between Ford, Fiddleford and Bill
Institute of Oddology toxic fidd/author/bill side story
Heist after heist with the henchmaniacs
Ford's portal adventures!
Terrible jokes that will make you laugh anyway!
A power dynamic that levels the playing field (Ford in control) and then decimates the field altogether!
Ford fell first, Bill fell harder!
Fleshed out backstories for the wider cast in Gravity Falls and a story that respects everyone's agency!
A Billford fic that takes a break from the toxic ship to spend a chapter with Stanley pug smuggling in New Mexico
Morally ambiguous Jheselbraum with past connections to Bill
Lottocron 9 and the infinity sided dice (including Ford's trip to the M dimension! Hate that place!!!)
Then you might enjoy this fic! It's just updated, with more chapters on the way, so if you're ready for a journey into mystery, mayhem and mischief, strap yourself in!
*author's disclaimer - Book of Bill DID align exactly with my fanfic and I was not disappointed!
#billford#knowing me knowing you#bill cipher#gravity falls#stanford pines#billford fanfic#the book of bill#book of bill#fanfic rec#tooting my own horn is very impressive considering i've never played an instrument well#i once got paid to STOP playing the clarinet#true story#anyway i have been on cloud nine with all these new readers#i hope you all enjoy reading the story so far#i was tempted to include people's reviews but i thought that was tilting too far into the egotism running rampant lmao#too much like ford#not enough like Bill#who can say

it's been seven hours and fifteen days —
pairing: eddie munson x fem!reader (soulmate!au)
summary: an inventory of the things you kept hidden over the years.
word count: ~1k.
warnings: just your usual angst, stream of consciousness.
author's note: a little something before the big update 🤍
series masterlist
There was nothing special about it at first glance.
Just an old shoebox, weathered with time. The shoes that came with it no longer fit, not since you were in middle school — the “good ones” your mother made you wear on special occasions. The cardboard had loosened up at the edges, ripped a little bit at the seams, the bottom giving out under the weight of its contents.
You didn't really like touching it, opening it. That's why, ever since you found a purpose for it, the box lies under your bed, undisturbed until a new thing — small and precious, meant for you to protect — finds its way to you.
You would be lying, however, if you said you didn't touch it once in a while. When homesickness held your heart hostage, not letting up until you held a part of him in your hands. Late at night, when the gaping hole in your chest where Eddie was supposed to fill aches more than the dull pain you'd grown numb to.
At the very bottom, that edition of The Fellowship of the Ring. Pages yellowed over time, the gold details on the cover faded and chipped, the red cover that was once bright now pale. It was once a well loved book, read to your soulmate by his mother before he went to bed, cherished like the little boy he once was. Hiding it was your way of cherishing it, keeping her memory alive for him.
You'd never told Eddie, but you'd read the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy after you left home. Picked them up from the local bookshop and devoured Tolkien’s words in a way to feed the longing that made a home inside of you. It only made it worse, though, when each word on the page translated itself to his voice in your mind.
You re-read them every year.
A plastic Star Wars mug, also yellowed with time. You were pretty sure it came with a matching bowl, remember seeing it at the Munson’s trailer. You wonder if Wayne ever noticed it was missing among all the other mugs he proudly displayed on his wall.
You also often wondered if Wayne knew about your secret. Ever observant, but never one for many words, Eddie's uncle must have known something was off between you, especially in the last years of your friendship.
His uncle who lost his soulmate suddenly, a girl he used to exchange letters with. Eddie told you that, one day, when they were both young, she'd simply stopped responding. He speculated she must have been married off to another man, but Wayne didn't want to talk about it.
She, whoever she was, was on your mind when you'd cut contact with Eddie. Wayne too, his tired blue eyes and weathered expression. Had you cursed his nephew to a similar fate?
That question kept you up at night.
A mesh bag, dotted with tiny silver stars, held a simple set of black dice in it. Eddie's first set, purchased at a game store near Hawkins. You remember how excited he was about it, and how distraught he was to lose it, even though he's bought many others after that one.
An assortment of jewelry, all silver. Silver rings, a woven leather bracelet — the most recent item in this melancholic collection — a wallet chain, an upside down cross necklace from what you liked to call Eddie's Ozzy years. You thought about wearing them sometimes, but the guitar pick necklace already sat heavy between your collarbones, sometimes too heavy to bear.
A Hawkins Public Library card, the last book recorded in 1987 — a sci-fi you recognized — a year after you left. A handwritten note addressed to Gareth. A black pilot pen. A cassette tape, empty, still new. A green scrunchie, much unlike anything else Eddie owned, and it equally intrigued and hurt you to think about where it might have come from.
A pin, a black eye pencil, a train ticket, a song lyric on ripped notebook paper, still unfinished.
They were reminders of him. That Eddie was real, that he was, despite your distance, still living his life as normal. Recording tapes, reading, rehearsing, working… bound by a red thread that led his every move back to you.
Sometimes you thought of anonymously mailing it all back, getting rid of the guilt. It felt wrong, for all this to be one-sided. It felt like stalking, like stealing, even though these were meant to be yours, in the same way Eddie himself was supposed to be yours.
Supposed to. Intended, alleged. Not really, at the end of the day — not in this lifetime, anyway.
When you put these things back, regretful as if you'd been caught touching something you shouldn't even though you were alone in your room, back in the box, back under your bed, you couldn't help but wonder if Eddie had one of these too.
Looking up at the mold stains on your ceiling, you asked yourself if he did this too with the few and far between belongings you let yourself lose along the years. Does he wonder about you? Has he ever longingly touched an earring missing its pair, a tube of half-finished lip gloss, a post-it note, and thought about who you were?
Tossing and turning, you shrugged to yourself. It didn't matter. It shouldn't matter. Knowing him, they probably ended up in a dumpster, or given away. That's what you told yourself to quiet down that voice that made you grow hopeful.
You stomped it down, yanked away at the thread that connected you to him, violently, like a rebellious child in a rage. It never loosened, never faltered.
It only grows stronger. The box remains untouched until the next sleepless night.
