in lieu of having posted any writing/headcanons/asks in the past few days because i have been *so* busy and unable to do anything fandom-related which is terrible and evil, i have a poll out of morbid curiosity and self-indulgence. i've been meaning to ramble here about how i feel about DC's lack fo Deaf representation and which Batfam members i would personally make Deaf, but i am mildly curious about the larger opinion and now i will subject you all to the question, i would love to hear thoughts/opinions/headcanons on any specific choices. #there was a pipe issue when I moved in but that got fixed #(January 1 2022)#and then I had 0 issues #until september last year when the kitchen flooded like this. twice.#and now tonight #I was watching Tv (around 9:15) and thought ''hmm wow the cat water fountain is louder than usual''#and went in and. flood. water everywhere. it's definitely from the sink #I've thrown away a bunch of stuff #and moved cat things to the living room #unfortunately the room where I keep their litter boxes is on the other side of the kitchen #so I had to grab the spare and set it up in the hall #if I haven't heard from the manager by 8am I'll go to the cornerstore and buy some stuff but. sigh. I want them to come with the shopvac #a shower *should* be safe but I'll probably keep it brief

I've been thinking and. Should I just. Merge my blogs and put everything here. Cause at first I made seperate blogs because I didn't want to bombard everyone with nonsense every couple of months about some new characters I found so I kept making seperate blogs especially cause I didn't anticipate it happening again and again but now I'm like. Should I just stick everything under this blog. Or at the very least cut it down to two blogs where I have this one and the second one can just be for my every couple of monthly nonsense where I spew about whatever I found.

#truthfully I normally dont go througg this much new media this often anyway.#Night at The Museum and Lone Ranger came from accidentals. NaTM was from me wanting to get more dialog from Lightning’s-#-voice actor and accidentally getting attachtched to other characters and Lone Ranger was because I saw it on the-#-Disney Infinity game which I got to play Cars on there and got curious and then got doubley curious because-#-I realized that Jackson's voice actor was the lead role and then watched it and again accidentally got attached.#Stanley Parable was one of those things I do where I know there are characters from a media that I will catch feelings for-#-and so I purposely put off watching that media until I'm in the moment where I want to/can deal with it. My brother just-#-happened to decide to get me a game off of my Steam wishlist for my birthday and so that came out of the blue.#And that has all been within just this one year. Which is unusual for me. It's normally at a maximum every-#-six months or so I may find something but this has been. Something else.#And I got another thing that I am watching now that I have held off for around 5-6 years for several reasons.#One of them being I knew I would catch feelings for the two leads so I just avoided it and stuffed it under my bed.#But I have noticed that the rush of new things breaks my emotional blockage dam because the feelings and yapping-#-just must burst and. Having that uhm...overload? I suppose? I dont know what to call it- but having that surge-#-of good bouncy positive kicking my feet feelings helps a lot with depressive-like episodes and so-#-sometimes I will intentionally pick up a new media if I am getting thrown through a bit of a loop.#I just. wauurugugh. aurgh. I cant tell if I am overthinking all of this or not. Because I feel a bit..funny already having such an-#-F/O list. I feel even more funny if I can't even keep it contained to one media and really have just a bucket list of characters-#-that I end up liking cause I keep picking ones up. i was going to answer this when spotify wrapped dropped but then things happened and forgot 💀 but i like different kinds i don't tend to stick to genres since whatever catches my attention goes for me, im the type of person to put in loop a song until i have something else to keep on repeat.

But I always come back to vocaloid songs once in a while, whatever gets famous i probably know about it (which is rare for me because i tend to be out of the loop in almost everything). iyowa, abu-se-ken (but the songs where he sings are my fav) and PinnochioP are some of my favorites for the meaning of the songs and the catchy melodies.

this is the mess that happens when you loop songs, none of the top songs are from the bands;; AND ONE IS THE OST OF A GAME AND THERE IS SOMEONE WITH 22 MONTHLY LISTENERS if it hits it hits

right now im obsessed with the song Decapitate your friends by Crisp since it was featured on the trailer for the game Mama's sleeping angels (it looks really cool), i like repetitive and loud sounds

an important skill is recognizing my oppositional media consumption habits approximately a week or two before they hit catastrophic levels; this is a skill I have painstakingly developed over the years but I can now say with confidence its a skill I've mastered. I now know when to start filtering tags for something before my brain closes off any future avenues of media discovery.

#TLDR is I'm always 7 yrs late to shit so in order to make sure I'll be able to watch Dungeon Meshi in 7 years or so and #enjoy it instead of being sick of it/annoyed I need to start filtering tags now. I am fermenting at prime interest levels (lightly amused #and intrigued but not invested) and they shall likely rise no higher until approximately a decade from now. in order to keep them from #plummeting off the ledge into 'I dont want to see any more of this' I need to stop seeing any more of this. you get it.#<- this is also why I dont take people filtering tags personally btw...

Gonna go running tomorrow!!!! Gotta hype myself up because i know once my alarm goes off at 6am i will not be as excited anymore ((((: BUT I'LL GO RUNNING!!!!

#i just #need to get some actual exercise #where i can completely exhaust myself #i mean. i get some pretty exhausting 10 minutes every morning on my hike to class #but i want something a bit longer and something that will end in a nice shower and not in a seminar room #I'm just a bit scared of how it'll go because so far the paths where people exercise are also occupied by other people #and then there's bikes that might kill you if you don't watch out #so i wanna go early so i hopefully avoid random people taking a painfully slow walk in the middle of the path #so you can't pass them #but I'll be moving!!! fast!! i cannot wait tbh #i should have gone tonight #(watch me oversleep and be too unmotivated to go tomorrow morning... istg if i don't get up at 6 #I'll still go at 8 or 9 or 10 am and have to live with the consequences of the paths being crowded #I'd go to bed early but my neighbors keep me up until 2am every night so that's fun #but the running will be worth it #(I'm not even a runner ㅠㅠ i just need to substitute my usual high intensity workouts with something other than pilates and yoga #i mean it's definitely not bad to be forced to do something out of my comfort zone but i really miss my jumping around time)#void screams

It's amazing how quickly people can perceive and pick up on other people's trauma but cannot do it for themselves because of how we cope, we can twist our reality into something more manageable for years, and then one day it hits.

#there's plenty of traumatic things that I've experienced that I've downplayed for my sanity and so i can continue my life #and randomly all the work I've done to ignore it ceases to matter because it hits with full clarity and it takes my breath away #and wonder if I'll ever be able to breathe again and i will I'll keep moving because i have to if not for myself - for others #until the next thing hits and then I'll be knocked down again and i have to teach myself how to move on again #this happens so often and i don't know if I'm relieved that no one seems to notice or worried how normal it is and how i can present myself #idk #just watching shows recently #criminal minds esp and thinking about the people who've hurt me #and how many of them i just didnt process - like I've been kidnapped before #multiple times last year #but didn't perceive it as exactly that bc i wasn't physically forced but was with my situation #and while i wasn't ever hit or tied up - i wasn't able to get up and leave #and had to endure whatever they decided #and a lot of it was food scarcity and lack of electricity #and refusal to help us while they played a savior role while purposely preventing us from getting out of the situation #i just don't understand the cruelty in people to do that to supposed family and kids nonetheless #like sure i was an adult but how are you going to do that to kids no older than ten?#just stuck thinking about these things

Okay so, if y'all know me you know I adore tmnt. It was my obsession before I ever watched even the original YGO much less GX. And now I'm watching tmnt 2012 for the first time, I'm about halfway through season 2 and honestly you guys are so lucky I'm not live blogging it because well.... I don't like it 💀

I will say I'm enjoying season 2 more than season 1 so far but still 💀

#I'm trying so hard I really am #as a don stan I hate all the april stuff #as a lover of april I hate what they've done and will do with this one #I hate the whole karai is really splinter's daughter thing #the kraang make me want to die every time they speak they're so annoying #I dunno a lot of the humor is just not landing with me either for some reason #i never liked the 3d cg animation style i always thought it was super ugly which is part of why i never watched it until now tbh #I kinda resent just how childish mikey is which is silly of me I'll admit that but still #leo has always been my least favorite that hasn't changed #don always was my favorite so I really hate that so much of his character revolves around april it really adds nothing and holds him back #raph is fine it's hard to mess him up tbh i don't have any issues with him so that's a win 👍#plus I adore sean astin so bonus points #I do actually like splinter and casey though #historically I love casey the most of the human characters though so if they end up messing him up later I'll never forgive them #karai is fine I just hate the her being splinter's daughter thing. I also don't like her design at all. at all. they did her dirty af.#I don't like to compare the other shows to 2003 since nothing ~really~ compares imo but karai's 2003 design > every other karai design #I know there's some 2003 storylines and characters they do in 2012 so I know the comparison is inevitable but I think I've done well #so far in keeping them separate. i haven't had that issue with 87 or rise so I trust myself #but honestly my intense love and admitted bias for 2003 has never interfered with my enjoyment or opinions of other turtle media #-so that's not an issue here #I just genuinely don't care for 2012 so far.
