Basic concept is the SAMS gang are all part of an unreleased gameboy game (The Creator is either the big final boss villain or the creator of the game itself, haven’t decided yet)

But it’s like an rpg with a similar overworld style as the old Pokémon games, Sun and Moon are the protagonists, Eclipse is the incompetent antagonist that does try but almost always fails at his goal

Lunar and Earth (maybe Solar and some of the others too) will have roles as well, haven’t decided what they are yet

Mostly just “what if SAMS but retro game because retro games rock”

Do you have any Pokémon at the shelter who are only there because they're just too stupid to survive in the wild?

I ask because my Meganium is like that. As a Chikorita, she was part of a rewilding program by the johtonian Rangers to rebuild wild Starter populations, but every time they tried to release her, she would have trouble finding food and preventing other Pokémon from stealing her food, all because she just has trouble focusing and is generally a bit of an airhead. When i found her, she was lying on the ground, beaten up, and so i took her to a Pokémon Center. While i was there, i met a Ranger who told me all about her and said "Yeah, this is the last straw, she's unreleasable.", then let me keep her at my request.

sometimes wild pokemon are declared unreleasable, yes. this is usually because of health complications, but every once in a while a wild pokemon that keeps getting brought back in will be taken permanently into captivity. i actually was in charge of the rehabilitation of one such pokemon- a talonflame who, shortly after her release, was brought back in. she now lives at the aviary i volunteer at!

unfortunately, this is why starter reintroduction programs tend to fail. we've generally bred starter pokemon to be too reliant on us to do well in the wild; when they are introduced, we can't really guarantee that the environment we're releasing them into is appropriate. we just don't know enough about what their lives look like in the wild. it doesn't surprise me that your meganium struggled to defend herself, since starter pokemon have long been bred for docility.

blueberry academy has seen some small measure of success in keeping "wild" starters, but their terarium is an artificial environment. they just don't do very well in the wild.

Thoughts on the Typhlosion allegations/pokemon teraleaks?

Okay, here’s what I’ll say about that. (And fair warning, it is nothing positive)

I think the fandoms reaction to these “leaks” has been absolutely ridiculous. They are not canon, they do not change pre-existing information present in the games and anime. Concept art is interesting, but things that were scrapped and did not appear in the actual media should not be regarded as fact.

Especially the Typhlosion thing, it’s like if jk Rowling said ‘oh yeah at one point in the writing process I thought Harry Potter would be a girl, but I changed my mind’ and the fandom went ‘oh my god Harry’s been a girl this whole time!’ Like no, a lot of work and ideas go into the concept and development of works like these, and then creators pick and choose the best of their ideas and use that, but I think it’s very problematic to judge them on the concepts that they themselves already decided weren’t good enough to use.

I have very strict opinions about what counts as canon, and that very simply is ‘what is in the work itself’. Unused concepts, things a creator said years later online, and really popular headcanons don’t count. They’ll never count, sorry but that’s not how language works, you can’t just redefine canon to encompass anything that maybe could have been a part of the project. It can be super neat to look at what changes could have been made, but it needs to be understood that that does not impact what the actual game is like.

This Typhlosion thing especially, it *could* be neat if people just took the scrapped stories to go “oh yeah the Pokémon world could have had myths and legends similar to our own! That will be interesting to explore in fan works!” But that’s not what the majority of people did. Instead, people took it to mean that somehow all Typhlosion are secretly evil and shouldn’t be left alone with children and anyone who has one or likes that Pokémon should be ridiculed based on nothing.

Because the stuff that in those leaks (baring things about unreleased games) are nothing. Looking at them in the sense of seeing ‘How It’s Made’ is interesting, fine go for it yeah sure, but they have absolutely no bearing on the actual franchise itself. And I have no patience for the people taking them as gospel and insisting they be considered more true over the actual canon.

Time for more Pokémon headcannons, for the NPC's this time!

Valk and Dom: Would do soul links often, Valk is the reason most of their Pokémon faint.

Icedagger: Has been a fan since the original gen 1 games, loves all of the games despite their flaws. Just has fun with it.

Venomshank: Similar to Icedagger but he doesn't play very often. But if sword needs to trade to evolve a Pokémon or get a version exclusive, Venom is the inphernal he goes to.

Ghostwalker: Knows of Pokémon and understands the basic idea but has no real interest in playing.

Firebrand: Would get Valk and Dom the newest games for Christmas. He's a cool Grandad.

Windforce: Speedruns the games, she is top of the leaderboard for at least one of the mainline games in Speedrun.com

Darkheart: Hasn't heard of Pokémon somehow.

Illumina: It's a waste of time to him.

Traffic: Usually a casual player but is somehow really good at competitive battling and knows all the best ways to EV train.

Ghosdeeri: Knows everything about Pokémon, even the unreleased stuff (before that big leak happened)

Lord Pwnatious: Collects the super rare cards to sell to make more money

Zuka: Rocket likes to info-dump to him and Zuka just kinda listens, he remembers nothing but he just likes seeing his son excited.

Broker: He would hear Cynthia's piano theme and not be scared. If Pokémon NPC's were self aware they would fear Broker, he is not the traumatized HE IS THE TRAUMA.

Doin a Protest!!

Hello all Nimbasa College Students and Staff Members!

You may know me as the Honors College RA, or as the President of the Gardening Club. Or maybe just as that guy who spends a lot of time laying in the field outside Natural Sciences a lot.

But today, you should know me as the guy who is particularly upset about the new Castelia City Mayor, Lucrezia Minskt.

The protest will be happening Tomorrow Morning, and we will be meeting up at the Natural Sciences building. As always while protesting, remember to wear an air filter mask and goggles in case of tear gas, as well as obscuring your identity. This is meant to be a peaceful protest, but I have no doubt in my mind that Minskt will attempt to escalate the protest so that she can take legal action, and arrest peaceful protesters.

I have so many notes on the things that Minskt has done, but because they are so long, they will be under the cut to avoid this post being absurdly long.

Minskt is spraying chemical aerosol around the area of Lostlorn Forest, a known habitat for primary bug and grass type pokemon, as well as zoroark. She claims that the aerosol is "patented by my own personal private research company, Minskt R&D, which is proven to repel wild Bug Type Pokémon with minor irritation and no permanent harm*. *excluding Joltik and Galvantula species, which are known to experience semi-extreme illness and major disruption of senses, however are not currently listed as an encroaching pest species and should not be at risk of encountering the aerosol systems". Minskt is also planning to do cutback of Lostlorn's "overgrowth".

Many people in Castelia have already come out and stated that the aerosol is already beginning to come into the city, likely due to airflow, and is harming many of the native wild pokemon there. Atley Deo, the head of Deo Horticulture, has also noted that "In harming the native bug pokemon of Castelia and Lostlorn, so too does Minskt harm the environment itself. Many plants and grass type pokemon rely on bug types for pollination to spread and grow, and to take bug types out of the equation is to throw the entire ecosystem out of wack." There have also been reports that those with asthma have needed to be hospitalized due to the aerosol. Which brings into question how a "panel of ethicists has absolved the Castelia City government, the Minskt Corporation, and any workers therein of any responsibility in the rare and unforeseen possibility of adverse ecological effects", considering there has already been a great number of adverse ecological effects.

There is also the fact that Minskt is now been "authorised by my decree as mayor to mobilize their own private security forces to bolster numbers in police departments around the city!" due to an "increase in vigilantes and individuals acting outside the law to perform unlicensed and citizen endangering personal justice, as well as a responding rise in violent crime" Which. I had one of my honors Law students look at it and not there has not been.

These squadrons also contain: "5-8 highly trained private military personnel, armed with new and unreleased Minskt Security armaments, including high-tech contained plasma cannons, hard light nets, automated targeting drones and experimental hovercraft for inner city manoeuvring!" The important part of this is "New and unreleased". Once again, had my honors Law students look at it, and that definitely sounds like these "armaments" (which is just a fancy word for military weapons and equipment) are not registered under Unovan law (a process that would take months), and are therefore illegal, especially in use against civilians.

Also, bafflingly, she appears to be racist against 'eeby deebies' (although she's referring to them as elevated, which is weird because she seems to dislike them), as she is claiming they require "supervision from a registered pokemon trainer to shop in non-specialty stores". and appears to be attempting to extend these laws to hyrbids. AND to campaign to extend to their "sister city" Nimbasa.

Pokémon Picross (Unreleased)

The Krabby puzzle appears in the Cycling Road area, where it could also be found in Pokémon Red, Green, and Blue, but not Pokémon Yellow. Krabby also has two puzzles in Safari Picross, with Monkey-Crab Battle being in reference to a Japanese folktale with a similar name. Krabby can be found in the Safari Zone in Pokémon Red, Green, and Blue, but not Pokémon Yellow.

While sharing a name with the later Pokémon Picross on Nintendo 3DS, Krabby does not appear there.

Someone suggested I try my hand at isolating and cleaning Pokemon BGM. Apparently this is an unreleased track that the fandom calls "Spearow Attack". Not sure where that title comes from. This version still has some sound effects, but I tried my best.

In any case, I'm thinking of posting this on my YouTube channel, and possibly doing more. If anyone has any requests for Pokemon dub BGM, I'm still in the early stages of figuring out what the fandom is looking for. So any suggestions would be great!

So, idk how much you know about fossil ‘mon, but I’m running out of resources and thought I’d shoot my shot.

For a very long time, there was an Aurorus in my pretty small town that’s been here as long as anyone can remember, nobody knows where she came from. She’s never been properly “owned” by anyone, but she’s very human friendly and just generally chill (excuse the pun).

She must have bred with a wild ditto or something, because a couple years back we started noticing some Amaura who would hang around her. They’re more timid, but she taught them to trust humans to a certain extent and eventually they’d accept pets and the occasional treat (very occasional, we don’t just go feeding crap to every wild mon we meet here).

The problem came within the last few months- the Aurorus passed, likely due to old age, no real cause could be determined. The Amaura are still pretty young, and not nearly as used to or equipped to surviving in the wild as their mother. They seem to be seeking out humans a lot more and none of us have caught them yet, because while we love them we don’t really know what to do. On one hand, we don’t want them to become entirely dependent on humans but stay wild, because we all know how those stories go, but on the other hand can we as a pretty small town in the middle of nowhere Unova really manage these 6 young Amaura, especially with so little publicly available resources about fossil Pokémon, let alone fossil Pokémon raised in the wild?

I’d appreciate any insight you have on this situation.

well...i hate to have to say this, but by giving them treats and petting them, you have taught them to approach humans. amaura clearly aren't equipped to survive in modern unova. it's not the environment they evolved for. so getting easy food and positive interactions- especially at a young age- will just lead them to lose their fear of humans. and a wild, untrained pokemon that doesn't fear humans is dangerous.

the best thing to do is call the rangers and let them assess whether these pokemon can be relocated to a proper wild environment or are unreleasable. that might be hard to hear, but it's the only way to guarantee the safety of both the people and the pokemon in this scenario.

Oh yeah. There was a lot of that sort of lying about interviews with a bunch of jp media usually shipping related. Though with Pokémon it was often about unreleased/upcoming content that got disproven quickly since it’s just so massive a franchise.

so i dont know about pokemon related stuff or shipping although from what i've heard since the person in question got banned from the fate subreddit they've since moved on to dangan ronpa so maybe they talk about it there but in regards to fate theyve made a lot of claims like

The light novel was greenlit by Nasu, as supervisor, Higashide as writter and Konoe as illustrator art.

David, St.George, Kintoki Sakata & Musashibo Benkei were scrapped by Kinoko Nasu’s idea.

Nasu said these servants doesn’t fit into plot and they were replaced by four new servants instead.

Chiron, Avicebron & Achilles were designed by Takeuchi & Nasu, illustrated by Konoe in charge of character design.

Mordred is the culture of festival achievement thanks from TYPE MOON fanbase.

Addition of Mordred into F/A was Takeuchi’s idea and Nasu agreed.

Mordred was orginally to be male but Nasu feel that having two male characters look feminine (the other being Astolfo) would be too much.

However, Mordred as a male was not Nasu’s claim of actual fact. In truth, Nasu didn’t decided for final Mordred’s gender since Fate/Stay Night until Fate/Apocrypha. Which mean Mordred was “genderless” in F/SN.

After the project of online game was scrapped, Nasu said that all servants are too ridiculous powerful and might bored if the player’s powerful servant was facing against other player’s powerful servant. It’s like a hax.

The online game was based on Infamous 2’s gameplay style.

Nasu & Takeuchi were laughing about more Saber clone. In fact, Mordred is the real clone of Saber (Altria), so the wish has come true for those people who still saying about Saber clone.

Karna is Nasu’s favorite servant. Karna’s popularity has been skyrocket thanks to Fate/Extra CCC.

Astolfo is Konoe’s favourite servant. He is symbol mascot of Fate/Apocrypha. Higashide can’t even tell if this is comfortable or not since Astolfo is dude.

Yggdmillennia, Sisigou & Kotomine Shirou were planned by Nasu, Takeuchi & Higashide.

Higashide wrote all Sisigou, Reika & Black camp’s character development, while Homunculus, Kotomine Shirou & four new servants’s character development was already written by Nasu.

Nasu said that Shirou is basically a character who look to have “light outside and darker inside” personality. Uncanny different trait from Kirei.

Homunculus (Sieg) was Nasu & Takeuchi’s idea. Nasu wanted introduce male homunculus in Fate series for the first time.

Takeuchi & Konoe said Homunculus looks cute but dense person.

Takeuchi stated Homunculus & Jeanne are his new favorite characters, along with Altria.

Interviewer mention about why Takeuchi like Homunculus. He reply "It’s a secret" due it will trigger the spoiler.

Jeanne is based on real french student girl according to Takeuchi. She was at same college where Takeuchi studied, before he met someone as model of Arcueid Brunestud’s design from Tsukhime come to his mind.

The difference between Altria & Jeanne is sex appeal. Which is already explained in TYPE MOON April Fool 2012, where Heroine X (Altria) in furious when she heard that Jeanne’s sex appeal is better than her.

Tsukihime is Higashide’s favorite visual novel.

Nasu stated homunculus like Mordred can summoned as Heroic Spirit despite not human being.

The rules of magecraft in Apocrypha universe are same as in Fate/Stay Night & Fate/Zero except that there is no rule of Ruler classes.

Ruler’s duty is protect the Holy Grail and oversee the battle.

Interviewer asked Nasu & Higashide about why Jeanne hijack Leticia’s body rather than ritual summon. Nasu stated it was something broke the rule of HGW and corrupted the system.

Nasu mention the first servant who hijack human body is Avenger, Angra Mainyu from Fate/Hollow Ataraxia. Who control Emiya Shirou’s body and mind since he has no body but void form. The theory that come from Rin Tohsaka was correct.

Which mean any servant can hijack the human body while in critical condition but it's rarely.

Karna’s background story has been altered in comparison to his original myth in Mahabrarat. This means, Karna is Nasu!Karna, not Myth!Karna which we know.

The rule of summoning Ruler is who can guide the war during in his/her past and a sainthood(?) as specific condition. Only one Ruler class is summoned in one war. The this system works in Apocrypha universe only.

St.George was remove because of this. Karna, however he refuse refer himself a saint and a killing machine who can kill God, summoned as Lancer class instead.

The Greater Grail force summon the servant as Ruler when met the condition completed.

If Jeanne is summoned in different universe without rules of Ruler, her class will be obviously Saber. She still will be summoned as Ruler if the mishap of war affected the result in different universe.

Jeanne was first mention in Kara no Kyoukai’s light novel reference: Mikiya Kokutou mentions her when he was discussing about Heroic Spirits who utilized the power of the Counter Force.

While the design for Jeanne wasn’t made during the production of the Fate/Zero novels, the design was completed around the time of the anime adaptation.

most of which are straight up fabricated (one of the main things being the interview they source only talks to higashide and not nasu, and none of the points mentioned in this list are mentioned in said interview), banking on people not being able to read the interviews they source. other lies they've circulated include shimousa and heian kyo being unpopular in the jp fanbase (despite consitently polling well on jp sites) and more recently claiming that they also hated ibuki douji (which also seemed to be a catalyst for getting them banned on reddit). this isnt the only misinfo theyve been spreading and they were at it for over 10 years, and it's all over the fgo wiki
