yes yes yes! I love it!! It was one of the first theories I researched after watching Gravity Falls. I have this weird relationship with it. Like I'll be 100% on board and then a week later its more like hmmmm there's a connection but I don't think its reincarnation and then I love it as a concept but am fairly sure it doesn't exist. I am obsessed with Bill and Stan's weird connection. I can't figure it out!

As an AU I can say its one of my favourites - right up there with Timestuck and fixits with the pre-portal incident twins

i don’t know quite how to explain this but i think i love Leverage for many of the same reasons i love early ‘80s slashers and cult classics. like, it’s the same vibe of "yes, our production budget is pretty low, yes, this is pulp, we’re aware of that. and by god we’re gonna make the best low budget pulp you’ve ever seen". they’re acutely aware of what their constraints are and aren’t pretending to be anything else, but they’re also putting in so much effort and passion and care. and i particularly love how the Leverage creators/writers use all the stock standard crime drama tropes to their advantage and play with them in very cool ways. they have to get creative with their shooting and sets and props and filming locations, but a lot of time that leads to some really clever or fun stuff (like an episode set at a carnival!). you can see all the seams, but that just endears it to me even more, you know? there’s definitely many high budget, flawless-looking shows and films i love too, but Leverage really has a special place in my heart.

Was talking to a teen about ai art yesterday and she said that ai would be able to make ‘better’ art. So I asked, what exactly is ‘better’ art and how would that work? To which she had an answer: ‘if we manage to understand and replicate the mechanism of human creativity, ai will be able to perfect it’. Which is, I think, what lies at the center of this discourse between businessmen and IT specialists (people generally very far away from creating art) and artists. They think that it is, like anything else, a mechanism. A system, like that of a computer. Instead of, you know (and every artist knows), a completely mysterious and unexplored source of passion and inspiration turning itself into something that has never existed before. Instead of a piece of the divine in the human soul. Instead of the equivalency of a dam being opened and your grief and love spilling out onto paper. They think creativity works like mathematics when creativity actually works like prayer. And AI can’t really pray, can it.

okay you guys.. I have a proposition

I’m very heavily considering writing an HSR x Justice League Unlimited (the 2000s cartoon) crossover that would be long as hell bc omg the brain worms are EATING ME ALIVEEEE IT WOULD BE SOO GOOD

Idk what the plot is, it’s probably gonna be long as hell, all I know rn is that I a) Want it to be HSR characters going to the JLU universe, not like, an AU where they are the JLU characters b) Aventio focus bc I adore them (although if you have read my prior fics that’s obvious c) Jing Yuan + Yanqing father son focus d) Acheron has to be in there somewhere e) I love the Flash the flash will love them I’m gonna explode

So, the proposition, 1) Should I do it/would people be interested in it

And 2) if the answer to the question is yes

Also, minor disclaimer, but my only knowledge of DC really is from general cultural osmosis and this show plus the original JL cartoon, so like, if you’re hardcore into the comics don’t expect me to draw on them intentionally, apologies. I will do my best to make their characterizations show-accurate though
