I love Brackenpaw in the graphic novel so much oh my god. He’s so polite and he only speaks in normal (by normal, I mean not-all-caps lettering you’d see in day to day) lettering. It’s probably to contrast him with how excitable and loud Cinderpaw is, but since Every Single Other Character always talks in all caps it just makes him seem like such a polite quiet little guy.. I adore him so much

Whenever the characters are sucked inside that magic book, the universe of the book grants them thematically appropriate outfits. In the case of the current event, it’s the Nightmare Suits which are defined by pinstripes, exaggerated stitching, and the Spiral Hill emblem.

We first meet Skully IN the book, not out of it. That means the clothing we see him in right now isn’t his default, it’s also a Nightmare Suit provided to him by the book. I wonder if we’ll get to see him in “ordinary” clothes or his usual school uniform once we escape the book…? But maybe not, since the key visual art for him depicts Skully in the Nightmare Suit by default…
