Another post showcasing my options for a YouTube thumbnail test, though this one hasn't completed as of posting since the connected video will not premiere until twenty minutes after this post is made (I reference the option to come see all of these here at the end of the video).
The video is titled "Assassin's Creed was ALWAYS woke" and debunks the anti-woke grifters who are trying to spread bad faith arguments about Assassin's Creed Shadows, primarily since they consider a (historical) black man to be an issue for all of their stupid, stupid reasons. I push back on a lot of those claims, and focus heavily on the fact that Assassin's Creed has been heavily politically progressive since its inception, and why that's a good thing. I genuinely wonder which one of these will win out for the thumbnail test:

all the news going around with unity's really got me worried for games that are already several years into development like Hollow Knight Silksong and Billie Bust up.
Just rough because I don't suppose a whole lot of games are going to be able to pivot game engines, let alone so late in development. Like it is easier said than done to pivot early in development but i've been following the development of several games that are years in at this point and the fact that they're grandfathering older titles into this is just... it's just bad.
The potential loss of games in terms of archival on such a massive scale....

A Critique of the Western Left

The Western Left has been marred by infighting in recent years, effectively crippling any capacity it has to fight back against the vicious capitalist system it rightfully opposes.
In my eyes, I see two main contributing factors to the general incompetency of the Left in the Western world. Infighting and ineffective campaigning.
Infighting between sects within the left along niche ideological lines stunts its ability to grow its membership and influence by making the movement look irrelevant, hostile, and elitist. The right isn't divided along small ideological lines. They can and will cooperate to spread their collective hateful ideologies. To combat this effectively, we need to put our differences aside and unite along our common enemy: the capitalist system. Only when the abolition of capitalism has been undertaken can we afford to disagree on minor policy and theoretical differences.
Secondly, Leftist campaigning is so focused on ideological niches that it no longer appeals to the working people. The average worker is not concerned about who Gonzalo was. They are too busy worrying about food, about rent, about utilities and education, and safety. We need to campaign issues that are affecting the people the most. We NEED to appeal to the masses and embrace left-wing populism to garner the popular support needed to oppose fascism if we want any chance of facilitating positive and lasting change.
We have a common enemy, and we must not fight each other. Instead, we must work together for the good of the people and for the good of the planet.

Update : - Added another song - Made it so songs fade into different track when starting the game - Change UI a bit in the intro Scene - Added a Game event (temporally 1 choice) - Added a way to close out of the game with a button in the ui
Know Bugs - message may load for a split second before it types out
Developers note: Nothing you see here is a finished product for the game, Things are bound to change. p.s. Im getting close where the horror comes in a tiny bit.

Been working a little more on combat bits. I've added hit effects, made it so when you drain mana from dead enemies you actually collect it, and changed the pivot of the camera when you're targetted on enemies. All still needs work. But I'm happy enough for now. And I want to move on to more environment and character stuff!

my first fps
I began coding my first fps game in the unity engine 4 weeks ago. I'm really happy being able to present following progress I made:
basic character controls (movement/shooting/aiming)
animations(for running/crouching/shooting)
enemy AI(aswell health for player, enemies are animated)
a second weapon(weapon switching code)
simple sound design(shooting, walking and reloading sound)
polish(muzzle flash, sparks, impact effects, blood effects)
I'm really happy with the weapon animations, it actually looks realistic. I also thought about a unique game mechanic and ended up with a power that makes u invisible for a few seconds. You'll fight against a lot of enemies at the same time, this mechanic would be really useful, especially if you have to reload

Day 13-14 coding progress. Well got a migraine last night and passed out, and had my game development class to teach today, so I finally got time in the evening.
Yesterday I made a sword in Asset Forge for getting things ready for the upcoming game jam! Today I decided to get back to my Maui app which is now called Puppy Tasks. I am having issues as you can see... I can't get my Moods enum to show up correctly. I've tried 2 different ways of implementing this and I'm so frustrated. Any help would be appreciated.
Tomorrow I'll be working at this problem more until it's fixed
