She gives a simpler answer the first time he asks how her newest dimension-hopping addition for SP//DR works, but he keeps questioning about various things with more careful and specific wording, and then it's months of this, and she's chatting with him about things beyond even Miles' time. Pete doesn't get a lot of it, but she's moved on quickly from "The sky is blue because it just is" type explanations - because she respects his curiosity.

She digs up his birthday with the combined effort of a few other spider people and some Investigative Work and gives him a few starter physics textbooks from her own time as a gift.

this is true this is my moral compass that the people i draw (or characters erm they are usually not real people) deserve to be a little bit ugly like they deserve to have their eyes too close together or have arm hair and neck hair or have a big bumpy nose or have their bones stick out a little too much in weird places and have low muscle tone and whatever. and they don’t deserve this because it’s “ugly” and therefore “bad” they deserve this because those are neutral human traits that can simply exist without being assigned a moral or aesthetic value and i want those traits to be depicted in art because they are REAL

"matt only defends people if they're innocent because he can tell by their heartbeat if they did it" an essential part of matt's character is that he believes in the law and justice. he believes that everybody has the right to a lawyer, and sticks to that. he defends criminals, murderers, teenagers who did dumb things, etc and he make sure that they have a fair trial. even if he knows that the person he or foggy are defending is bad he will still make sure they have a fair trial (daredevil vol 1 #195, daredevil vol 1 #203) he wants to help people and that is an essential part of his character. even if he knows that the person is guilty and cannot afford a lawyer, he will defend them pro bono (daredevil vol 1 #312). like, it is extremely essential for his character that, as a lawyer, he defends people whether they're guilty or not, which has been true the entire fucking time.
