Here’s a collection of very quick AU sans doodles that I made for a Kahoot! Night I’m doing with my friends.
They wanted everyone to make their own, and I had no idea what to do so I decided to make them suffer through guessing who a whole bunch of sans’ are (most of them know very little about undertale yet alone it’s aus)

So I had this idea for an UNDERSWAP take on UNDERTALE Yellow called "UNDERSWAP Cyan," which also swaps where the humans died and has the child of patience (cyan soul) as the 7th human to fall into the underground (falls before Chara). This human would have an eastern theme like Ceroba, contrasting Clover's western theme. This would also be true of this world's variant of The Dunes.
Tumblr media
Their name is Blossom.
Tumblr media
Currently trying to think of swaps for the other UTY-based characters, but I'm basing everything off of TS!UNDERSWAP. I'll figure it out at some point.

TS!UNDERSWAP Dev Diary: Koffin-K Party Member
The area progression for Starlight Isles was much different during the initial concept stages than what was finalized. Originally, you would defeat Crossbones in the village -- and if spared, the two of you would team up against Koffin-K, infiltrating his base of operations.
With this idea, Crossbones would have been a party member -- except he would have been completely useless, and serving purely as comic relief. In battles with Koffin-K's minions, he would have done nothing besides crack jokes.
This would have gone on briefly until the two of you got separated. You would have discovered that Koffin-K (who used to have hypnosis magic) would have "hypnotized" Crossbones, with him becoming the supervillain minion "Mr. S" (inspired by Mr. L from Super Paper Mario.)
Tumblr media
(These are the only sprites I could find.)
Some of the finer details are missing -- either you would have "snapped him out of it," or he wasn't actually hypnotized the whole time, just messing with you both.
Eventually, you and the non-hypnotized Crossbones would corner Koffin-K together -- and in a last-ditch effort, Koffin-K would try hypnotizing Crossbones a second time. This time, it'd be complete with a whole transformation into a Darkwing Duck-esque design, with Crossbones wearing Koffin-K. Sadly, I wasn't able to find these sprites.
The Koffin-K battle would have been with a "hypnotized Crossbones" wearing Koffin-K. At the end, Crossbones would reveal that he was never actually hypnotized, and just messing with you both. Koffin-K would have figured that this meant he could only control bats.
Suffice to say, this was a LOT in terms of scope -- an entire major area devoted to Koffin-K with multiple sections, minion battles, and an entire "hypnotized Crossbones" antagonist plot. This just wasn't going to be feasible in the long term, and would be going way too overboard in terms of original content versus the rest of the game.
We ended up making the following simplifications:
"Koffin-K Island" was reworked to "Koffin Keep," and made a smaller, self-contained, nonlinear area -- as opposed to a larger linear area.
Koffin Keep was placed between Stardust Woods and Starstruck Village to better integrate it within the overall area progression, and make it less of an afterthought or something "tacked on."
Koffin-K having hypnosis magic was scrapped, as was "antagonist Crossbones," because it made no sense.
The "useless party member" role was given to Koffin-K -- with Chara wearing him to conceal his presence during the festival, and giving him a great deal of unique interactions and cutscenes / cutscene variants.
It's sad we ended up having to scrap some of these ideas, but ultimately I'm really happy with what we accomplished with Koffin Keep -- laying a lot more into a Saturday morning cartoon villain feeling than a more serious superhero/supervillain conflict.

I have a question, idk if it's been answered b4; are the Horror variants older than their non-horrors? how much older?
thank you, hope you're doing well!
They are!
I hate settling on exact numbers because A) it’s the quickest way to get people to (instinctively) try and fact-check you and B) this is all for self-insertable purposes so being too specific about ages would inevitably exclude people, so I’m not going to do that, but there is a rough sliding scale.
Undertale, Underswap, Underfell, Swapfell, Undergloom, Underfell Fruition, and Swapfell Fruition are all about the same ages (Sanses and Papyri respectively).
Transcendtale and Ascendswap are also in that same age group, but have consciously lived through a lot more timelines, so they’re in a bit of a gray area there in terms of being/feeling older, but technically being the same age.
Horrorswap, Horrorswapfell, and Gastertale are a bit older than the others, chronologically. The horrors’ Chaos after The Human left took awhile to resolve so they ended up getting to the Surface later than their non-horror counterparts, while the G!bros came into existence around the same time as the original Sans would have. They started out as fully-formed youths so they just jumped the timeline a bit.
Horrortale and Horrorfell are older than that. They had the Famine to deal with after The Human left, which took even longer to resolve than the Chaos that the ‘swap ‘verses, so they’re sitting pretty as nearly the eldest.
Descendtale are the absolute oldest ones, but again there’s something of a gray area. The changes brought on by consumption of the echo flower root include a significant slowdown to the aging process, so even though they stayed Underground for another lifetime at the least, their physical bodies are in roughly the same condition as when The Human left.
Which is to say, it’s hard to nail down an exact age for some of them anyway, due to the variety of circumstances in their ‘verses (multiple timelines, accelerated and decelerated growth and aging, et cetera), but that’s the rough scale of it.

FATESWAP info dump time woah
Ok im gonna be 99% less mysterious and freaky than i am w/ EternalNight!Verse bcus FATESWAP mostly focuses on the present events of Underverse 0.0-0.8 :3c
I really really wanna talk about Arrow first though cus he’s one of my favourite freaks
Tumblr media
This is Arrow, he fits in the role of Cross in FATESWAP; what made him take this role was the skirmish between X!Frisk & Cross , where instead of holding back Cross accidentally goes too far and shoots X!Frisk’s eye
Tumblr media
vvv This point exactly vvv
Tumblr media
This’d cause them to go ballistic and everything else pretty much goes like how it originally does in XTale but it’s Frisk who genocides everyone; and in retaliation (and bcus he’s heavily wounded) X!Gaster takes away the world making it seem like he’s actually gone but also trapping Arrow in the process. (Barring the Vessel/Arrow from using OVERWRITE)
Most of the story goes the same; except Ink is subbed in for Core!Frisk (who’s referred to as Omega), who eventually asks Arrow to go to the Omega Timeline, but he refuses.
Tumblr media
So Omega leaves him be for an extended period of time. Making him feel like Omega abandoned him, which they sort-of did but not intentionally.
One day Mr. E (Error) pulls up to Arrow’s crib and takes half of his soul , this being before he became a ‘good guy’ so 😞
Arrow eventually takes actions and convinces Frisk (or ‘Player’) to let him spend the last moments he had with his family; of course Player obliges but it was really a ploy to get Player’s guard down and take their soul.
Omega, Player and Arrow get into a confrontation but Arrow managed to get away by the skin of his teeth.
-
He likes churros, Mettaton variants (both the TV and funny guys) , and small groups of people.
He hates being referred to as Frisk, VII, prototype or anything else of the sort.
If I remember right, I think Arrow’s whole arc is about like “Are my emotions even real?” Because, well, Savitr (Dream) and Ratri (Nightmare) are the embodiments of Positivity and Negativity, so they pretty much… are feeling?? If that makes sense so he’s here wondering if anything he feels is real or if they’re just a byproduct of another being. Because the only thing he feels is individual about himself is his emotions. And if they aren’t even real, then, what is he?
What is he fighting for if he’ll never have true freedom?
Speaking of his emotions :3c
Tumblr media
Ultimately, it’d be his and X!Chara’s combined, visceral hate, for everything and everyone around him that’d get him out of XTale after he’d taken Player’s soul. As it’d draw a certain silly guy in … Savitr… who’s subbing in for Nightmare.
What happens is that Arrow hets sent to Underswap (instead of Underfell) for a silly reconnaissance mission :3c and to get Azure (Swap) but things go awry and Arrow gets into a skirmish with either Swap!Muffet or w/ Azure
Tumblr media
gang i kinda want to have Swap!Muffet in place of Fell!Sans but i have a lot of art + ideas w/ Azure already 😞
Tumblr media
I think I’d spend more time with Arrow doing missions w/ Savitr and (potentially) Rellik but idk
MY OHONE’S GETTING LAGGY AND IDK WHAT ELSE TO WRITE SO HERE’S THE REST OF THE ARROW ART that’s cool :3c

Game Night - A UTMV Fanzine
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Game Night is an Undertale zine all about games and bringing people together, with the goal of raising money for a good cause! It’s all about your favorite characters dressing as characters from your favorite games, playing games, or being in games themselves! We are looking for artists and writers for this zine.
Tumblr media
FAQ
Is there an age requirement for contributors?
Yes, you must be 18 years of age or older when sending your application.
What AUs are we allowed to use?
We are mainly looking for mainstream ones and characters people would recognize. Aftertale, Underswap, Underfell, Dreamtale, Xtale, Fresh, Ink, Error, Paperjam, Template and Pale, you get the idea. Variants, fan kids, and fusions may be used but are not the preferred focus. OCs and sonas may also be slipped in but must not be the main focal point.
What kind of games am I allowed to pick?
Any! Preferably board games, video games, or something of that nature though. Game night is supposed to be something you can have in a comfortable place like home.
Tumblr media
Are ships allowed for this zine?
Artists are allowed to imply a ship if they choose to, but we do not explicitly want pieces to be about a certain ship as that is not what this zine is about. More information can be requested from artists as needed.
Where is my money going?
The money earned from this zine will all go towards Child’s Play Charity. The only money taken will be to recover the production costs of the physical copies and merch should merch happen. You can read more about Child’s Play and their goals here.
Can artists/writers sell their work after the project is over?
Contributors may use their work however they wish once the project has ended. They retain all rights to their artwork and writing and may do with it what they please.
Tumblr media
Will there be any additional merch and/or goodies?
To be determined once the main zine contributions are finished.
What do contributors get?
All contributors will receive a free digital copy of the zine and the opportunity to buy a physical copy of the zine at production cost.
What is the age rating of the zine?
The zine may feature mature content and themes but will not include any explicit sexual content.
I have a question that isn’t listed here!
Feel free to send an ask to our Tumblr or a dm to our Twitter.

More B-Side Verse!
Next up is Error.
Tumblr media
This is Trojan, the B-Side verse version of Error.
Tumblr media
(click for better quality)
- Within B-Side, Trojan used to be a Science Sans instead of a Geno Sans like Error was.
- Since Trojan originated from a younger and overall nicer Sans variant, Trojan is much more pacifistic and less angry than Error.
- He still destroys Universes, but he's less likely to actually fight people. He does his job and tries to flee as fast as possible when Scribe shows up, only rarely giving in to fighting.
- A glitch is spreading throughout B-Side verse. It seems as though there is no cure, but destroying the infected universes seem to slow it down. So, Trojan does his best to kill off the infected universes using his power, only leaving the uninfected alive. This earns him the title of "God of Destruction" throughout the multiverse as rumor spreads. No one, except Trojan's trusted allies, know of his true motives.
- Scribe and his crew are trying to stop the same corruption, but Scribe believes Trojan is the root cause of it and seeks to annihilate him, thinking destroying "the source" will kill off the rest. He doesn't see Trojan's efforts as "damage control", all he sees is Trojan "spreading more corruption."
- Being alone for so long has made him more like Alphys, very nervous and anti-social, but undeniably brilliant. He has a habit of going on long rambling tangents about data, space, magic, and whatnot. Most people don't understand a thing he's talking about though. He doesn't care, he's just happy to infodump.
- Most people see him as this maniacal mad scientist who tortures people and experiments on souls. Many Sanses like to compare him to some of the abusive and horrible Gasters throughout the multiverse. When, in reality, Trojan has absolutely zero confidence in himself let alone his "mad science."
- Most of Trojan's time is actually spent researching and documenting the different magic and fighting styles all Sans and Papyri have. He finds all the variation extremely fascinating and just rly rly rly wants to learn about it all. (*Cough* undiagnosed autism *cough*/lh)
- Trojan really doesn't have many friends and doesn't get out much. But, unlike Error, he's pretty good friends with Nightmare and his gang of misfits, as well as Cyan, the B-Side variant of Underswap Sans.
- For a long while, Trojan couldn't remember he used to be a Science Sans. Once he did remember, Cyan gave him his necklace as a reminder to never forget.
Tumblr media
The rest of these are not rly that important, they're just funky little design quirks I think are cool lmao.
- Trojan is named after a "Trojan Horse Virus" a type of computer virus that disguises itself as a normal program.
- His name is also a reference to the Trojan Horse in Greek mythology. Within the story, not only was the Trojan Horse a smart plan, the monument itself was an alleged tribute to Athena, goddess of wisdom. Trojan is a very smart cookie so using my tism powers I named him after something connected to the goddess of wisdom essentially NSNDNND.
- Trojan's "strings" are less like strings and more like thick ribbons of green binary. Within the Antivoid, similar to Error, Trojan has a bunch of these ribbons hanging from the "ceiling". But unlike Error, written on these ribbons are the names and serial numbers of all the universes he's destroyed. It's his way of remembering them and memorializing them.
- The binary code surrounding him can spell out various small phrases or words relating to what he's feeling. Normally, they just spell out "Trojan". But as seen above in my paper sketches, they change periodically. The translations for the binary can be found underneath each sketch.
- Trojan's eyelights can change as well. They turn into 1s when he's surprised, angry, excited etc, and change to 0s when he's embarrassed, sad, worried, etc.
- When he's overwhelmed or confused, strings of binary cover his eyes.
If you have any questions about B-Side verse or the world itself, don't hesitate to send me an ask or a message!

Prelude - Swap’s Determination
For Better or Worse, Swap changes his story.
2k words. Takes place directly before ch.1 of The Magnificent Sans’ Guide to Serving your New Evil Boss.
WARNINGS: Suicide ideation/mentions, implied abuse but no direct actions, (magical/unintentional) emotional manipulation
It happened again.
Swap’s blue eyelights lit up in his dark sockets, bleary and clouded. There was a deep-rooted bubble of peaceful joy in his SOUL that a part of him was repulsed by immediately, even though he couldn’t remember a time without it.
A time when.. When his little brother…
The skeleton pushed himself up, throwing off the blankets he was covered by angrily calmly. He froze, a gloved hand coming to clutch at his sternum, fisting into his shirt over where his SOUL resided. He felt-
Angry. Sad. Horrified. Depressed. Upset. Betrayed. Scared-
Nothing. Empty. Calm-Calm-Calm. Peace. A vague sense of relief, and tranquility.
His breaths came out rushed and shallow, fingers clawing at his chest. This wasn’t happening. Why were his feelings wrong?
The despair left him in an instant. A blanket—a cage—of wrong, so, so wrong peace enveloped him.
“Blue, it’s okay. You’re okay. We came and got you, don’t worry.”
No, he distantly thinks, but the thought is sluggish and quiet. This is wrong. This is bad. Run, run, run. Not again. Please not again.
“Dream,” Swap stutters out, his weak knees giving out and leaving him kneeling before his friend, clawing at his chest desperately with all the energy he can. The defiance is leaving him in lazy, scary waves, as the horrible dizzying calmness seizes each and every bone in his body. “Wh-what.. What Are You Do-oing To Me?”
The Guardian smiles softly down at him. He bends over slightly to place his hands on Swap’s shaking shoulders. “Oh, Blue, just relax. Why do you always fight me?… You’re feeling so much negativity, I’m just helping you to be happy.”
“B-Bu-“
Dream tuts, now crouching in front of him, hands still holding his shoulders firmly. “Blue, I can’t understand why you want to be negative.. These feelings are hurting you! They make you so upset. I mean, you tried to run away again, just because I stopped helping you feel better..”
“Because.. Y-You’re..” You’re forcing me to feel how you want me to. This isn’t me. Do you even like me? This isn’t friendship.
The words don’t leave him. He swallows them down, holding them far away from Dream before the golden God can see them. He can’t say what he needs to, he can’t, he can’t.
When had Swap become so scared of his friend?
The spike of fear is silenced immediately, smoothed out and guided back into the calm-peaceful-calm that Dream feeds Swap’s slouched form.
“See? You’re scared as soon as I let up at all! I don’t want you to feel bad, Blue! I care about you. We care about you.”
Swap can’t…
Can’t…
“..I- You’re Right, Dream! The Supreme Sans Feels Much Better Now, Mweh-Heh-Heh! Thanks.”
Dream smiles, relieved now. “Ah, there you are, Blue. I was worried.. You seemed like- like you wanted to feel bad. I wasn’t sure if-” The smile falters. He almost says something, but seems to think better of it, shaking his head lightly and smiling brightly again. “Nevermind. Helping you was the right thing to do, clearly. Running off like that, just over those feelings… I’ll keep better watch of you from now on. I promise.”
“Ha, Okay, Dream!” Swap smiles. His SOUL is bubbling with joy that isn’t his
His smile falters, for a bare second.
———
Swap took more and more time away from the Guardian of Positivity, every possibility. He’d visit Geno for a few days, until being dragged off to fight. He’d ‘drop by’ an unnamed friend’s AU for a bit, and instead hide away in a random UnderSwap-Variant as long as possible, hoping the double-double Him would mask his presence.
Each escape lasted longer and longer, and each time Swap grew more and more desperate. The time would pass, and as Dream’s powers wore off, he’d at last be able to feel the buried, forgotten memories and emotions of the past—
Weeks? Months? How long had this cycle been? How much longer would it be? He couldn’t keep doing this, he couldn’t let this keep happening!
Swap couldn’t remember, couldn’t remember, couldn’t remember.
His brother—his little brother, his dear Papyrus, his lazy, loveble little brother—What happened to him? Why was Swap living with Ink and Dream, why did he never visit his own universe anymore? Had he ever visited?
He’d try to remember him, remember anything, and all he’d be able to drag to the surface was a sick mixture of positivity. How could he feel happy with his brother obscured?
Then, he did remember. The despair. The agony. The rage he felt, the horrible pain. And then Dream. Always Dream. Everything was Dream. Dream eased his worries, eased his mind, helped him, cured him of that horrible loss.
Swap sobbed, clawing at the damp ground. Snow melted into his gloves and seeped into the space of his digits, but he didn’t care. He only felt a world-shattering numbness, and screaming anger behind it. He wasn’t at all surprised this time when Dream appeared in front of him, Ink at his side. He didn’t fight it when he was taken back to their base. There wasn’t a point, was there? When Dream offered kindly to help him again, Swap did not speak, instead bowing his head and pushing out all the anger, the despair, the fear that he could, a sick part of him reveling in the gasp Dream gave as he fell back. Then, his SOUL was quiet again, and he bounced over to his friend, a light apology already prepared while he helped him up.
This time would be different.
Every single time, the effects would wear off, and Swap knew he’d failed again. And again. And again. And again.
This time would be different.
Again. Again. Over, and over, and over, and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over
and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over
and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over
and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over
and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over
and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over
and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over
and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over
and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over
and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over
and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and-
This time will be different.
Swap feels the DETERMINATION heating to a boil in his SOUL, burning his ribs with the intensity.
(“I HATE IT! I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT! I CAN’T BE PART OF THIS ANY LONGER, I CAN’T KEEP BEING TREATED LIKE THIS!”
“Blue, calm down. You’re being so negative-“
“I’D RATHER DUST MYSELF THAN LET YOU ‘CALM ME DOWN’ AGAIN.”
“blue! you’re hurting dream!”
Swap freezes, his angry expression hardly faltering even as he makes the effort to reel his emotions in.)
It has to be different.
(“I’ll let you go calm down.. in your own way. But I can do it-“
“NO! I’M LEAVING. I’M NOT COMING BACK, NEVER AGAIN!”
“Swap.”
“blue, what’s this fuss about, anyway? you run off for a bit all the time, why act like this is different?”
“Ink!”
“what? it’s true!”
Swap growls, teeth grinding. “If You’re So Sure I’ll Come Back- Well- Well!! I’ll Just Go Join Nightmare!! How About That, Ink?!”)
It will be. He’s sure. And, well, if all else fails…
(Swap yelled at Dream to open the portal. The Guardian complied, wincing still from the force of the negativity he was putting out. Ink scoffed, arms crossed.
“if he weren’t an outcode, i’d have looked for a more grateful Swap Sans by now. Ooo, what about an Undyne variant?”
“Ink! What’s the matter with you?! Our friend is-“
Swap balled his fists, the portal finally closing behind him.)
…There’s always another UnderSwap Sans.
Maybe it’s wrong of him to hope Dream and Ink just.. grow bored of his antics. Find another. Some more-willing, softer-minded him. One that would be easier, happier, quicker, sharper-
One that isn’t him. Anyone but him.
A part of himself is repulsed by the selfishness. But, well. Where he’s going, he’s going to need to be a bit selfish. It’ll be a.. ‘Leave your morals at the door’ sort of place. Swap giggles at his own joke, even though he hadn’t voiced it. The exhaustion is probably getting to him. If he is to pull this off, he’s going to need to straighten himself out.
“ERROR!” Swap shouts into the vast, vast sky of Undertale-01. The Prime Timeline. One he knows Error looks at frequently, the one he asked to be sent to in order to ‘cool off’ in his weird mortal way.
Glitchy static rips a hole in the fabric of reality above him, almost instantaneous to his call. He’s wrapped in blue string before he can draw another breath, and then Swap is surrounded by nothing but white.
…and an annoyed Error glitching out behind him.
“Wh-AaaaaT. Do YyyyyyyyyOUu waNt.”
“I Need A Favor. As My friend.”
The dark skeleton twitched. Swap took the lack of response as a cue to continue.
“The Stars, the- the… Well, Just, Being A Star. I Won’t Do It Anymore. But Every Time I Try To Leave, They Find Me, And I Have To Go Back. Error, I- I Really Can’t Keep Doing This. I NEED Out. And I’ve Got Two Plans!!
“OPTION ONE! I Kill Myself. Not The Most Preferred, But It’s A Solid Plan-B!” Swap proclaims with a forced grin, hands on his hips. “OPTION TWO. I Become.. EVIL!!! You Set Me Up With Nightmare And I Join Dream’s Enemy, THEREFORE Making Me ALSO HIS ENEMY.”
“…whAt.”
“What? I Know Nightmare Doesn’t Like Me, But-“
“No, n-nO,” Error interrupts, dragging a discolored hand down his face in annoyance. “WhY i-iS PlAn B-B-B sUiCiiiiDE?”
“What Else Can I Do? They’re Always Going To Find Me. Always! I Just- I Have To Make Myself Someone They WON’T Want Back.”
“You aRe.. s-Seriiiii- SeriOuS.”
He nods. Swap will not let himself be used or molded any longer. Even with the weariness weighing him down, he is filled with DETERMINATION.
His friend is.. worried, in the only way a maniacal sociopath Destroyer-of-Worlds like Error can be. And amused.
They talk for a few minutes, discussing the plan. Error at last agrees, and Swap stops himself from grabbing his friend up in a hug, to Error’s own relief. They settle for a quick little high-five, something the haphephobe can handle.
Stars above, Swap hopes with all he can that this works, stepping through the static gateway and into a familiar snowy setting.
His blue boots make muffled crunching sounds as he walks forward. The soldier has a mission: track down the lackeys that Error said were here. Killer and Cross (and Swap was very grateful Cross was there. His presence would surely help his odds).
Up ahead. Just a bit farther. His bones ache, his head hurts, and his eyelights are sore, but Swap is too close to escaping—at last, really, truly escaping—to turn back.
“KILLER!” Swap shouts, stopping at a safe distance. He squars his shoulders, raising his chin a little to display his confidence as the pairs’ attention is turned to him.
“I COME ALONE, TO MAKE A REQUEST OF NIGHTMARE.”
Deep breath, Swap, deep breath. There’s no room for regrets, not now.
“I Want To Join Your Gang.”
