I loved reading everyone’s top three Elvis songs last week! I could talk about this man’s music all day. ❤️

So my question this week is: What are his three most underrated songs? These would not be on a greatest hits album, maybe he never (or rarely) performed them live, but when you listen to them, you just think it’s a crime that not more people are enjoying them. Let me hear about them and why you love them!

I’ll start:

Milkcow Blues Boogie - This is very early in his career, and you can just tell he’s having so much fun with it. I love him speaking at the beginning in his cute accent, and I love his interesting vocalizations and the way he hits those falsetto notes.

After Loving You - His voice in this era just does things to me, it sounds so soulful. I love everything about this song - the handclaps in the background were a perfect touch. Also, if you change the lyrics to be about a man, this could be me (and probably all of us lol) singing to Elvis. 🥰 “Honey all the rest is gonna have to be second best…I’m no good for anyone after loving you.”

Tomorrow Night and And I Love You So - Yes, I’m cheating with a tie for this one. A ballad from the beginning of his career and one closer to the end. I love how sweet and earnest he sounds on the early ballads. On And I Love You So, you can hear him hit those beautiful rich low notes. Both of these, to me, show his ability to take a song and make you feel like he’s singing directly to you. His ability to use the emotion in his voice to connect with the listener is truly amazing.

i saw you like David bowie and the jojo stands bohemian rhapsody and killer queen, which means you probably like queen, which means you probably like rock music! good news, i love David bowie and queen too and most of the english music I listen to is rock!!

so here are some personal rock recommends i think you, and perhaps my followers too, would like. some underrated, some less, some DEFINETELY not, some rock, some less, some DEFINETELY not!

The Cure - The Lovecats, Mint Car (my fave)

The Smiths - This charming man , This night has opened my eyes (def not underrated but I need more people to listen to it.)

The Strokes - Reptilia (the same!!)

Ramones - Baby I love you (my fave)

Queen - Good old fashioned lover boy (my fave)

Gorillaz - Left hand suzuki method , Jimmy Jimmy (if you want REAL underrated songs. never heard anyone talk about these 2)

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Scar tissue (my fave), I love all of their songs though so I recommend giving a general listen to them👅

The Offspring - Why don't you get a job, Come out and play (my fave), the same as RHCP all their songs are worth it so do give a general listen!

Blink-182 - Adam's Song (my fave)

btw the fact you asked for "underrated" made me realize that the majority of (english) music I listen to is.. pretty well known, with my favorite english artists being mostly famous bands or singers lol 😭 let me know if you ended up liking any of these tho!

I really don't understand why no one is talking 'bout "Kandis"!? Their debut album has 15 songs!! Which is different from most kpop groups who make mini albums with 5 songs...(≖_≖) In my opinion Kandis's music is kinda combination of New Jeans and Ive?? I can't even describe it because their sound is still slightly different than most of the GG and honestly I think that people who don't like kpop will like Kandis's music because their music is maybe more like lo-fi sometimes??
