I loved reading everyone’s top three Elvis songs last week! I could talk about this man’s music all day. ❤️

So my question this week is: What are his three most underrated songs? These would not be on a greatest hits album, maybe he never (or rarely) performed them live, but when you listen to them, you just think it’s a crime that not more people are enjoying them. Let me hear about them and why you love them!

I’ll start:

Milkcow Blues Boogie - This is very early in his career, and you can just tell he’s having so much fun with it. I love him speaking at the beginning in his cute accent, and I love his interesting vocalizations and the way he hits those falsetto notes.

After Loving You - His voice in this era just does things to me, it sounds so soulful. I love everything about this song - the handclaps in the background were a perfect touch. Also, if you change the lyrics to be about a man, this could be me (and probably all of us lol) singing to Elvis. 🥰 “Honey all the rest is gonna have to be second best…I’m no good for anyone after loving you.”

Tomorrow Night and And I Love You So - Yes, I’m cheating with a tie for this one. A ballad from the beginning of his career and one closer to the end. I love how sweet and earnest he sounds on the early ballads. On And I Love You So, you can hear him hit those beautiful rich low notes. Both of these, to me, show his ability to take a song and make you feel like he’s singing directly to you. His ability to use the emotion in his voice to connect with the listener is truly amazing.

Underrated Vocaloid songs.

Just found this underrated Vocaloid song yesterday. So I decided to share it along with some other underrated Vocaloid/Synth tunes for you!

My favorite vocaloid song ever. This just goes so hard.

The song and the manga are both so amazing, emotional and underrated. My banner for this blog is literally a screenshot from the MV.

I've liked this song since Middle School. It's so good.

Musical fandoms are so weird because there will always be a song with the most impressive fucking vocals ever and lyrics that go so hard and that will be the song that gets called boring

Kindergarten boyfriend from heathers, heart of stone from six and (idk if this one counts as a musical) tightrope from the greatest showman are the first ones I thought of but I swear every musical has a song that's "boring" that is literally so impressive

I love Taylor Swift’s music, it’s definitely a hyperfixation. Music, in general, is very therapeutic for my autistic ass. But when I ask someone what their fave TS song is and they say “Shake It Off” which is LITERALLY PLAYED EVERYWHERE and doesn’t count, just… she has so many underrated gems.

Stop giving the spotlight to Shake It Off and give some love to The Way I Loved You, Bye Bye Baby, Castles Crumbling, Haunted, Holy Ground, The Very First Night and 1989’s Vault track “Say Don’t Go”.

I used to love Anti-Hero, until it became a single and then I HEARD IT EVERYWHERE FOR MONTHS and got sick of it.

I could list more underrateds but I detest typing on an iphone.
