Caretaker gives the kid their clothes, which are waaay too large for them so they are sitting there in a oversized sweater and Caretaker rolls up their sleeves

(and for a bit o' whump :D) Child gets injured/sick and the caretaker has to tend to their wounds or nurse them back to health

Stargazing together or catching some fireflies (I have a soft spot for that one <3)

Or just both of them cuddling under a blanket in front of the fireplace while rain and thunder is rumbling outside :3

I am going to rant a bit about it under the cut.

He uses they/he pronouns

He is slightly smaller than catnap

So Zero was just in a intership for a short period before he found the truth and wanted to out it but they got him and turn him into a toy! When he found the truth he met the prototype but his fascination of gadgets and mechanism was stronger than feeling fear XD

He can produce energy via his emotions and on his own will if he is in good shape, he met the critters soon after, he was in charge of the time for movies or shows and story telling. His knowledge in mechanism made him be able to have more dinamic storytelling using tricks with lights and such.

Zero then loses their temper electrocuting a scientist not on purpose trying to stop them for taking more kids, in wich the scientist take notice and take him to the labs in wich he got experimented more and amplifying his production of electricity.

He then kept being experimented while being plugged to the facility providing electricity to a portion of it. He became a living generator.

The prototype then offered them to be part of the hour of joy by the promise of revenge and freedom and no more pain, he accepted and shut the facility down from electricity and closed the doors from many places trapping everyone inside.

Now this is where the the au and canon takes different paths

Since in canon Zero gets deceived by the Prototype and was kept as a generator for the prototype (basically he will still be used as a generator by the prototype) the prototype would carve a mouth in the shape of a smile on Zero so he can feed. Zero dislikes him after being betrayed.

In the au since the prototype just killed the scientists and the bad people, Zero is very loyal to the prototype and helps them finding the more bad people by hacking security cameras or websites, but he stays in the town most of the time.

In the au Zero lives in the basement of the aparment the critters live in (if they are in a building and not just a singular house lmao) He produces the energy of a portion of the city, if he doesnt their electricity would go hirewire, he just plugs himself at night and acumulates the electricity in the generators.

If there is a storm and ther ei s apower outage he can easily feed the building, you just need to wake him up and tell him about it.

Zero has 6 minicritters of themselfves in wich some are patrolling and some are around him, they are like security cameras in a way

They go around fixing a lot of stuff around town specially electronics,

He likes to create gadgets, toys or artwork from metal, thats why he would go to the dupmster zone to search for parts and bring them home, they find admiration how the prototype can dissamble an object to create another so he looks up to the prototype like a teacher.

He is usually in the background doing mundane fixes there and there, because he was isolated and the only contact was when they experimented on him, he gets veyr anxious around adult humans but with time you can see he is just a silly guy who adores affection he just doesnt know how to handle it yet.

I like to think they are the guy whom people go when something gets broken or need assitance with.

I really couldnt stop thinkning about the au, its 2 am but I probs forgot things.

Some fun facts:

He dislikes being touched in the back

The Prototype helped zero gain a mouth and get unplugged from the cables since it was a tedious and careful task.

The minicriters have different shapes (i forgot to put the x body marks on the square anthena minicrtitter :()

Simple shape on anthena= complex shape on body and vice versa.

He can speak human language very soflty but it feels off for him specially if he talks for to long it starts to hurt. (He normally talks in gibberish like puppycat from the show :D)

The stronger the emotion the more energy he can produce

If there are tvs plug on them or he touches them, he can comunicate with those using memories and replicating the voice from that memory (is like doing a collage of different voices and images in a tv) he can also project their dreams on tvs

He is very light

The scarf/coat is attached to them like part of their body.

They are protective of their friends he isnt very strong but will fight for them

He gets sometimes ghost pains in their back, the scale of pain depends of the day

My cringefail boyfriend, I love every single headcanon I hear about him. He was so damn cute even before I fell in love, and now every time I see him I start giggling and kicking my feet lol 😚 I adore how much fun DD has with him, and honestly I’m gunna dress as a vampire for Halloween this year /)w(\ been like 20+ years but I really really wanna do it!

🔥 Hottest Role - Whistling Marauder (Bird Box)

Mother of mercy. We rewatched the whole movie just for him, so naturally he shows up near the end and then died ;w; but that outfit, holy hell. Oh my god. I’m such a sucker for bad boys and this guy is going around forcing people to stare at this eldrich being that’ll destroy you or drive you mad. And he looks goddamn great while doing it. Gunna attach myself to the chain on his jeans. Okay I’m normal again, what a way to start off the list lmao

❣️ Honourable Mention - Luke (Singled Out)

Douchebag. Shitty brother who’s also great if only to save his own ass. Thief. Pure idiot. Irresistible. I knew the moment I saw the clips on youtube that he would so be my type, and seeing the full pilot only proved that. Dude picked a burger over getting his sister, he would treat me so wrong half the time, but then he’d make me waffles and it’d be all better 😊

💘 Love of my Life - The Writer (Making Love)

This one breaks my heart so much. I’ve been in a relationship like this before, and I really want to save him from his. He’s beautiful, he’s talented, his outfit is hot as hell with all the rings and bracelets and necklaces, not to mention the undone shirt buttons, he’s got the emo bangs, he is the complete package for me. The only reason he isn’t higher is because I fell for many others first. I almost never watched this one because my brain was going haywire trying to imagine what kinda scenes I’d find in something with a title like that, and sure enough my face was so red the entire time since I watched with headphones and it starts with him whispering right in my ear, like him asking, ‘Do you love me?’ nearly made me cry, I love him so much. If I could bring specifically him to life I would love the hell outta him until he stopped needing such a painful, self-destructive fake love with the Woman QwQ

❣️ Honourable Mention - Nick (Love is an Elevator)

This one is just a silly little guy /)w(\ right from the start he’s so adorable, I would melt if anything even close to his interaction happened to me, and him just swooning and saying she was beautiful before bailing in tears is so me-coded TwT I would love to go out on a date with him!

🔥 Hottest Role - Abra Kadabra (The Flash)

Abra was so tricky to place because I love him, but as soon as I remembered his buckle outfit from his second episode I knew he had to go under Hot. Like, again, I’m so weak. I love his attitude, I love how he just wants that applause for his showmanship, his ‘powers’ are cool as hell, and DD has the wand in his home now and I think that’s so damn cool 😊 The reveal with him wanting to bring back his alternate timeline family was so sweet I almost cried, and he definitely didn’t deserve to be killed out so instantly right after his redemption. Not even a fan/watcher of the show, but in my head I’m having Flash warn him about it since he’s from the future, so he’s fine now 😌

💘 Love of my Life - James Lewis (Teacher)

James was also incredibly difficult to place because I love him so much ;w; The entire movie I was rooting for him, guy did nothing wrong in the face of what was going on around him, and granted he did take things too far, but… villains are hot 😳 so I won through that entire movie. And he lived! And kept getting to teach! I remember I pointed at the screen when he was putting books away cause that’s my job lol I felt truly close to him in that short moment 😂 Anyway, Arabella didn’t deserve him, like she wasn't into it from the moment they met, every single time he talked she would do this 😬 guy was going through hell and was very clearly in a bad place all around, I can’t fault him for drunkenly saying the wrong thing if it were me, even if it did really hurt me. Gunna give him a new wedding ring to put on when he gets outta prison.

❣️ Honourable Mention - Hector (Premature)

He’s so cute!!! I may be weak for villains, but I adore his sweeter roles as well, I’m so glad I got to see him. If I moved to a new city and he was my neighbour I’d know I’d be okay, because honestly he needs to be my roommate like yesterday. A chef who’s afraid to cook because of OCD, I’m sure he’d be able to help me with my own cooking from a safe distance, and I already have some practice as my sibling has OCD and is very strict about how her food is handled, so I’ll have come full circle. I just need to make him more okay with cuddles first…

🔥 Hottest Role - Denham (A Killer of Men)

Denham was another one that was hard to place, because that axe twirls makes me insane, but with what little screentime he gets it all evens out. Another great villain, he’s just senseless violence in a bloody wedding dress and he works it. Love the look, love the vibe, if the world ended and the whole gang was coming at me I’d be honoured if he was the one who got me (I swear I’m not that deranged lmao just thirsty)

💘 Love of my Life - Simon Lynch (Almost Human)

Even now I feel like Simon should be higher, especially since I’ve written my fic about him as well as my deep dive. I’ve said it before but my heart really went out to him, the deep dive says way more than I can fit it here, which probably means he should be higher lol so give that (and maybe the fic too 👉👈😌) a read if you haven’t already, all my love for him went into both.

❣️ Honourable Mention - James Harris (The Employer)

Another adorable character, the bar flashbacks had me blushing every time. We all knew it’d be him, but I’m so glad he pulled through at the end. I want this one to be happy, especially after everything he went through. Absolutely cutiepie, gunna be the one to pay for his dinner after he gets home 😊

🔥 Hottest Role - Dwight Pollard (Gotham)

Since I go into all of his roles blind, I had no idea what to expect for this one, but from the start I was hooked. Having him be a crazed cult leader with the biggest, most feral smile and laugh ever stole my heart the things I would let this man do to me sakndskjds I liveblogged his eps to a friend of mine who’s seen Gotham and has been trying to get me to watch it for ages cause I love DC, so she was thrilled as I sat here screaming about everything leading up to his ending :’D I’ve gotten some encouragement to write him, so when I do it’s gunna be so insane I’ll have to tag the hell outta it lmao (btw making these gifs nearly killed me oh my god I need him)

💘 Love of my Life - Joshua Whitmore (Cass)

All the pain I went through trying to get this movie was worth it because it all led to him. I love him, I adore him, I’m so incredibly glad that so many others got to see him and love him too thanks to my trials and tribulations. DD’s only artist role, I got to connect with him on a personal level not shared with the others, and my desire to make sure he’s safe and taken care of is so strong that I wrote 26k about him, they’re two of my most favourite things I’ve ever written. I’ve thrown the ending of the movie out and completely placed it with my own, which can be found in my fics, and until Hugh Schulze DMs me personally and tells me what his vision was, that’s what I’m sticking with forever. So rest easy, he’s free from New York and buyers and dealers and the street and he’s safe and happy and painting again ;w;

❣️ Honourable Mention - Thomas Schiff (The Dark Knight)

The OG, a lot of people’s first roles of his, including mine. I remember seeing this movie in theaters when it came out so that means I saw him up there, on the big screen, and something about him stuck around in my brain until I finally realized my love QwQ Even if he isn’t as fleshed out in my mind to make the actual list, I still needed to include him in some way, I hope he got placed somewhere that wasn't Arkham after Batman stepped in.

🔥 Hottest Role - Cam (Relaxer)

I will never watch Relaxer again. Couldn’t even do it while I was making his scenepack cause so many horrible things happen to Abbie I couldn’t take it. But Cam, oh my god, I need this man. Someday I wanna write this huge fic about the reader trying to date him, and there’s no redemption. He’s still terrible at the end. But that’s what we all love about him, how shitty he is and how the potential is there for him to make us all worse. He sucks, but in the best way, and I kinda need him to maybe bully me please 😳 (making that first gif nearly made me blackout why is he doing pushups)

💘 Love of my Life - Bob Taylor (Prisoners)

When I started adding names to my list of men I loved, Bob wasn't even on it at first I think, despite liking him in the movie. Then I saw more with him and added him to crushes. Now I’m fully in love with him, and he breaks my heart every single day. He was hurting for so long, even when we were watching I couldn’t place the blame on him while the rest of my family were convinced just like Loki that he was the one, but no matter what I couldn’t. The second I saw his sweet smile I told them there was no way it was him, and sure enough I was right. Another character who didn’t deserve what happened to him, I’ve been slowly helping him with my headcanons, but in my personal queue I have a fic planned for him and he will have no more sad days when I do 😭 I also have a bunny plush I’d had for years, my dad bought it for me and it’s been sitting on my bed ever since, and when I’m sad I hold it and pretend Bob gave it to me, it’s honestly got me through some much needed therapy because if he could go about his day with that kind of trauma then I could be brave and call about my own mental health :’)

❣️ Honourable Mention - Lonny Crane (The Belko Experiment)

This one’s a bit of a double whammy, cause I love him, but the switch to violence had me staring 👀 Either way, he didn’t deserve his death, but since it is a killing game type movie he was doomed from the start, at least his seemed instant 🥺 Someday I’ll write a fixit for him too, it was just too much for him back to back to back, he really didn’t deserve his final moments to have him as a villain even though I would really love to be lifted up like that aklskjdskds okay I’m normal again

🔥 Hottest Role - Ray Watkins (The Rookie)

Have you seen this man? No really, have you seen him? The twirl, the shirt lifting on his hips, the cold but also fun villainy, the nonchalance to mask the cruelness underneath. I need him. This one is not a Want, he is a Need and I need him. I hope that he gets to come back in the future to fully wrap up his plot along with the cop’s plot, pleasepleaseplease, otherwise I will die unsatisfied.

💘 Love of my Life - Kurt Goreshter (Ant-Man 1-2)

I believe he might’ve been the second role I’d ever seen, but only after I really got into the MCU after Endgame. I skipped Ant-Man in my original watches, since I was mostly just into the Avengers and Cap (mainly Bucky lol) in general, but when I finally did a full marathon I really enjoyed the first movie. Cannot remember my feelings for him now since it’s been about 4 years, but I do know when I went back to rewatch in March I fell the second I saw him 🥰 the hair, the accent, the outfit AGAIN, and those hand tattoos, this is another Perfect Man. My crush on him is incredibly strong, it told me that yeah I was really starting to fall for DD (at that point I’d just seen Demeter a few times, and then Oppenheimer on accident) and it officially kicked off my marathon that eventually led me to my collection I have today. 

❣️ Honourable Mention - Lester Billings (The Boogeyman)

My family actually watched this without me way before my crush began, so when I saw he was in it I just had to finally sit down and watch it myself. Cue me hurriedly typing to my sibling when he showed up lol this man is SAD! He’s so beautiful and sad, I just wanna make a new family with him (I would be a parent for him, that’s the extent of my love) so he can be happy again. I love the backstory I made up for him way more than the original story, sorry Stephen King but you made him awful and I don’t want that one. I’m gunna save this man and he WILL smile again, that’s a Ray Guarantee.

🔥 Hottest Role - The Vampire (Cora)

Now, to start, this one falls prey to Very Bad Writing Choices. I will not deny that. Like, even with the allegory of the whole thing (that I did not see cause I just saw a short vampire story honestly) it's very much Not Good. But that’s why I’m removing him from the short and keeping him. In fact, go read polkadotjohnson’s fics on him, they’re fantastic and I adore how she wrote him. I someday wish to do my own, because otherwise everyone who can’t look past the Very Bad Writing Choices are getting straight up robbed of this one. Those double fangs need to introduce themselves to my neck pronto, you see what I’m saying? He’s so goddamn hot, DD needs to play a very serious vampire role again so everyone can see the Vision, he wants to do it, I need to win the lottery so I can fund this movie myself, that’s my new life’s goal.

💘 Love of my Life - Jack Delroy (Late Night With the Devil)

The first movie I saw in theaters after my crush began! My friend saw him in a tweet about it and linked me to it so I thought it was already out, but I ended up having to wait two weeks and it nearly killed me ;w; I went in completely blind, which is good cause the trailer spoils so many great shots unfortunately, and the entire time I was swooning. Like, I usually whisper to my sibling during movies if we have comments, we’re very talkative at home when we watch stuff, but this time I was just sitting there staring with hearts in my eyes without pause. I’m in love with this man, plain and simple, I’m so glad I was able to get to see it since it didn’t come to the theater closest, we had to drive an hour away and when dad joked about me paying for the tickets since I was the one who wanted to see it, I did in a heartbeat. I wanted to see it again, but it was only there a couple weeks, so by the time I was able to go it was gone and I’m still upset about it. I’d sell my soul for this man, I love writing for him so much, I’m so glad my crush on Wojchek bloomed just in time for me to see this.

❣️ Honourable Mention - Hank (Virgin Alexander)

I avoided this one at first because the trailer was making me cringe and I was going crazy over what kinda sexy awkward role he’d have in it, but I was pleasantly surprised in the end. I think the movie is actually cute, despite some stuff still making me cringe, and Hank is literally the most perfect boyfriend. If he showed up randomly in my life I would date him in a second, hands down. He’s so shaped like a friend, I know I’d always have fun with him even when we’re not Having Fun, and that’s all you can ever ask for in a relationship 😊

🔥 Hottest Role - Breck Montanari (Double Black)

Okay first of all I gave him that last name. Second of all, I wrote 70k about this man and I am so in love with him that I own him now. I’ve taken him from Sara Woomer, he’s mine now. He has a full past, gave him a future and a partner, there’s no way I couldn’t have fallen in love with him. Unfortunately that fic will never be shared as it’s private, but know that, again, until Sara Woomer DMs me personally and shares everything else about this world, this is my new canon for him. And the cult. And the entire area where he lives. And several of the members. And the new Double Black who was such a chill dude that I made my bff love him too. This is my secret legacy. He only lost out to my #2 because there’s no way he couldn’t be my #2.

💘 Love of my Life - Wojchek (The Last Voyage of the Demeter)

The reason I finally learned his name QwQ I went into this movie blind, dad really wanted to see it and I love horror so I went with him, and the second I saw him I said, ‘Oh that guy! I know that guy!’ since by then I’d seen Kurt and Abner a few years earlier and vaguely remembered him. I spent the whole movie then dreading his end thanks to the opening lines, and I’m pretty sure I quietly yelled at the screen when he fell and then got got after praying he’d be okay TwT After Abner, he’s the first DD role I ever shipped with, and when my crush officially restarted I ended up writing my entire plot for him and Addy that night before bed. I love him so much, he’s my jolly sailor bold who stole my heart by crying over the thought of having to lose his home. He’ll forever own a special place in my heart because of all this, I can’t imagine anyone else taking this spot.

🔥 Hottest Role - Murdoc (MacGyver 2016)

Murdoc was the first TV role of his I checked out after I saw as many movies as I could that interested me (mostly all the ones on Prime sans a couple, my collection was very very small by then) and the moment I saw him be mentioned I was ready to go. The Alice in Wonderland vague text, running and then getting shocked before falling two floors, showing up with that hair, I was not prepared for everything else they were about to throw at me. Murdoc is one of my most favourite characters now, he’s so much fun, I adore everything about him, I’ve only edited with him twice and written him once, but I need to do both so much more! This one is hot as fuck, he’s adorable, he loves his son, he’s got tools, he’s utterly sadistic, he’s a silly little guy. This is another Perfect Man, I cannot wait to decide on his plot with Addy because there’s too many fun possibilities I honestly might just make multiple.

❣️ Honourable Mention - Willy Cunningham (The Domestics)

Now… you might all be thinking… why the hell is this guy a #2 honourable mention in the face of all the others… and the answer is… I’m a freak 😀 I’ll never say, but my eyes were opened to him, and my god, I will literally never be the same. I just need him and that insanely feral energy okay, lemme have this.

💘 Love of my Life - Abner Krill (The Suicide Squad)

The love that started it all, I think I fell for him the moment he walked outta his cell and got teased. The love I feel for him goes so deep, it only compares to one other, and whenever I work on my plot for him and Addy I always get choked up. The ultimate one who didn’t deserve what he got, I actually refused to watch the movie again after he died, straight up did not watch until my marathon started, and as soon as I saw him in that cell it all came back. I instantly fell back in love with him, and thus his Addy plot has the most love put into it to make sure he’s happy and safe. I thought that maybe there’d be another to win my heart as my marathon grew, but nope he’s still there sharing it with my other #1, and seeing him can instantly bring a smile to my face no matter how I’m feeling. 

After the movie I read the trivia again and my crush on DD himself began, so it’s all thanks to him and Wojchek that I’ve met the people I know today and have created so many things in such a short time. When I hit my lowest low in years I just sat at my desk and held the funko I have of him and just cried it all out, and it honestly helped me get out of that spiral. Thanks to him I now have a Polka-Dot Man collection (still missing one figure and maybe a signed print and poster 👉👈🥰) and if I could get a plushie of him to join the ton I already have I’d buy him in a second. Maybe someday, if I have any courage, I’ll bring my funko or something to a con where DD is attending and get it signed, either him or my other #1, and I’ll cherish it forever.

❣️ Honourable Mention - Jude (Animals)

Like all the others, I went into this movie completely blind. I didn’t know DD wrote it or its significance to him until after it was over and the credits rolled. So the entire time I was watching I was falling in love with him, he was so incredibly my type in the moments he was actually happy that it’s insane, I spent the whole movie just saying how much I would date him in better circumstances. We were sadly betting which one of them was going to die as things just got worse, me and my sibling were watching so miserably, and then we were rewarded with a happy ending despite the bittersweetness. And then the credits rolled, after me repeatedly wondering why he’d accept a role like this after knowing at least about his addiction and it all fell into place. I haven’t been able to watch again so far now that I know a lot of what happened to Jude also happened to him, it breaks my heart too much, but I still love him deep down and I hope he was also able to heal after the credits rolled.

🔥 Hottest Role - Johnson (Reprisal)

Tied for first with Abner as the ultimate love of my life and claiming this one all to himself, Johnson is the Most Perfect Man. Literally, no other DD role can top him in my heart aside from Abner. I honestly almost skipped Reprisal entirely because the promo image on his imdb didn’t grab me (I’m such a fake fan I’m so ashamed of myself), but when I was done with everything else and wanted to see more, I downloaded it without ep9 since he wasn't in it, and started watching. What followed next was me falling so in love with the show that I spent forever trying to get that missing episode back from near dead torrents cause I needed to watch it even though he wasn't in it. Reprisal is my Roman Empire, I am constantly thinking about it and him and Matty, not just for my fic but just because I love it all so fucking much. 

Johnson himself is so fascinating, I’m incredibly in love with him and everything about him, he’s unlike any other role DD has played that there’s a complete disconnect in my mind, he’s just Johnson. He’s so goddamn hot I missed out on literally everything the first round because I was watching him so hard, Matty and Ethan were nonexistent to me and I’m madly in love with Matty now so let that sink in, and when I rewatched it immediately after with my parents it was like I was watching for the first time. I’m loving writing for him (and Matty and Ethan of course) so much that my thoughts go back to him daily, and it almost always includes me being on the verge of tears because of how insanely good this script is and how these boys bring me so much joy while also shattering my heart. 

Making the gif below no joke did make me cry like this show is my greatest weakness right now you guys don't even understand how much it and Johnson mean to me.

I need to edit more for him and them and the show in general, if I had endless money and all the confidence in the world I would truly fund this show single handedly so it can finish the way it was supposed to. I’m so mad at Hulu for giving me the greatest love(s) of my life before taking him away years before I’d ever know him, with no physical media or merch to at least collect to numb the pain. Leo came over for movie night like always. It’s become a little tradition to start the weekend together. He’s already got all the snacks ready and is waiting for you to join him in your living room. You said you’d change into something more comfortable a while ago, but never came back. 

Tapping his fingers one last time on the armrest, Leo decides to go check on you. He makes his way to your bedroom but stops at the open door, leaning on the frame. You’re standing in front of your full-body mirror, looking up and down at yourself. That’s when Leo notices the grimace you’re sporting; he doesn’t like the way you’re looking at yourself at all.

“What’s wrong?” he asks.

“I recently got these new shorts…” you start, rotating your body so you can see your backside in the reflected image. 

Leo is about to comment that they look really good on you, maybe joke that you’d look even better without them. But given your furrowed brows he bites his tongue.

“They’re comfy but…” you sigh, and your figure slumps slightly forward. “I don’t think I like them after all.”

“Why’s that?” Leo asks genuinely.

After a moment of hesitation, weighing in your head whether you should tell him the truth or not, you decide that there’s no point in trying to hide this from him.

“You can see my stretch marks” you finally answer, tracing the lines over your thigh.

At that, Leo pushes himself off the doorframe and approaches you slowly. He stands next to you and one hand reaches to hold your own, while the other rises to gently stroke your cheek with his knuckles. He takes a moment to find the right words, then turns to face the mirror and looks at you through it.

“To be honest, I don’t understand why they are a bad thing” he admits, and you know there’s no malice or undermining behind his words. “I think it’s cool that you have stripes like me.”

You let go of his hand with a light scoff and hug yourself, suddenly feeling exposed. 

“It’s different” you say. “Yours are actual stripes. They even glow when you activate your ninpo; that is cool. Mine are just scars, and scars aren’t pretty.”

You avert your eyes from the mirror, unable to look at the turtle or yourself anymore, feeling the tears starting to sting behind your eyes.

“Go ahead to the living room” you say and turn towards your wardrobe. “I’ll change into some sweats and be right there.”

You never make it to your second choice of pants though, because you’re being gently pulled back. Leo guides you to sit on the bed, and you comply, averting your eyes to the ground. He kneels down in front of you and softly grabs your chin to have you face him.

“Scars aren’t a bad thing” he says, a soft lop-sided smile adorning his features, trying to comfort you. “They mean you overcame something, that you were strong. And your stripes show how amazing your body is at adapting and protecting you.”

His hands roam up your legs lovingly, starting to trace out the visible patterns of stripes peeking out from under your shorts.

“You always say how much you like my stripes” he whispers, placing a soft kiss on your inner thigh that makes your breath hitch. “I see yours the same way.”

The next couple of minutes are spent in silence, the only thing you can hear is the thrumming of your heartbeat in your ears as Leo’s lips ghost over your stretch marks, placing soft kisses along your thighs, climbing further up. You lean back onto your elbows as his hands lift your shirt, revealing your midriff and the marks that reach almost to your belly button. Leo’s kisses and caresses continue here as well, until he kisses up a trail over your stomach, chest, to your neck, and finally, your lips. 

By now, all your senses are focused on him and him alone. You understand the message he’s trying to get across, and for now at least, you believe it. You let yourself fall onto your back completely and your hands join behind Leo’s neck, kissing him deeply, thanking him for his comfort. 

The kisses turn into a lazy make-out, and when you finally feel like you’re able to talk again without bursting into tears at his softness and the intimate gesture, you gently push the turtle off of you. 

“There’s a movie still waiting for us” you say, slightly out of breath. 

“Right” he responds after clearing his throat and gets off the bed. You follow suit and give him one last peck on the cheek, hugging him tightly.

“Thank you for that, by the way” you mumble into his plastron. “I needed that.”

“Anytime” he answers, hugging you back just as tightly, but then he lets go suddenly.

“Race you to the couch!” he calls over his shoulders as he's already left the room.

“Cheater!” you accuse him, making your way to the living room with a laugh, insecurities long forgotten.

You stand at the throne of the Bowser himself, with a confident and determined smile across. Bowser looks at you with a genuine look of disgust and annoyance, but that doesn't stop you from getting on one knee and holding out your hand.

Aw Man!! I really thought I had him with that one!!" You pouted as you stomped around the room in a huff.

You are Princess (Y/N), Ruler of the Poison Shroom Kingdom. Your Kingdom was Known for its vicious wildlife of piranha, the poisonous ecosystem of purple ooze, and not to mention the not-so-soft toads that were under your rule as they were taller stronger, and more intimidating than that of the Mushroom Kingdom, with darker tones to match. Safe to say, you don't get many visitors around here.

But it's not so bad wants you get used to it. It was home to you. The purple theme of the castle was beautiful to those who took the time to see it. It was also home to many rare herbs and medicine for those needing cures for ailments of any kind, with you being an expert on the topic yourself.

This is one of the reasons why the Toads also like you as their ruler. You were very kind to them and actually cared about them, no matter how dangerous a job was. They are extremely loyal to you to a fault. They respect every decision you make. Well, almost.

"Honestly, Princess. I don't see what you see in such a brute anyway. He's such a monster. I don't see how you love such a dangerous creature in the first place."

You let out a dramatic gasp, looking back at your royal attendant who just rolled their eyes at who.

Toadye, your most loyal attendant. She is also what you consider to be your best (only) friend as she has been with you for the longest time. She was a tall toad, her mushroom heads a dark violet with black spots at the center, and dark black hair to compliment her look.

"He just a little misunderstood. I swear that I have the charm to break his walls."

Toadye gives you a look.

"Right, you mean that time you 'invited' him to our Kingdom he oh so loved visiting."

Bowser flinches at the familiar voice and groans. Peach looks at him confused in the cage she is being held prisoner in. Mario was the only one that could make his face scrunch up in displeasure like that, but she didn't recognize the voice that entered out of nowhere.

Several noises of struggles could be heard in the distance as the castle violently shook a bit, a red koopa came it sliding on the back of his shell, knocked out and dizzy which made Peach flinch at the chaos that was happening.

She was surprised to see a woman come from the throne room entrance. And a royal too! She's kinda like her.

"Bowser! My Beloved, Please Marry Me! I'd fight a thousand koopas for you!" You say with a love-struck gaze in your eyes that made Peach give you a look. By the chaos that was happening behind you, she could tell you weren't lying.

Bowser glares down at you. Fighting the urge to throw you out.

"As you can see, I am far too busy making arrangements for the actual love of my life. If you can excuse us, I'm busy with my conversation with Peach." The sneered in his condescending tone made it clear that he was dropping huge hints at you.

however, you only look at the cage that he was presenting to you with a blank stare. Peach felt herself shrink at your gaze. If you love Bowser this much, she didn't know what to do if you saw her as a potential threat. It's bad enough that she has to deal with Bowser.

"Peach..." You mumbled softly. As you took a step forward towards her cage, causing her to take a slight step back in the limited space.

But She wasn't ready for the full sprint that you took towards her, jumping into the bars of her cage, griping tight as you cause the cage to jerk in place. Peach jumps back at your sudden movements as she feels her heart in her mouth from your sudden closeness. She almost lost one of her lives there.

"You're Peach! I've finally got to meet you in Person! My Fiancé has talked about you a lot! You rule the Mushroom Kingdom I Believe. You are so much prettier than he ever described you to be! We should hang out! Have you ever seen the Poison Mushroom Kingdom! I could be your tour guide! I'm Princess (Y/N) btw." You rambled to Peach, not taking a second to breathe.

Bowser could be heard behind you. He quickly grabs you in his claws and gives you a slight squeeze to make you stop your rambles. He brings you close to his face, and you see his eyes glow red in anger. "Listen, Brat. I'm tired of your games and your stubborn delusions getting in the way of my happiness. Get out of here before I am forced to burn you to a crisp!!

You noticed the flames that can be heard in his throat and frowned at him with a disappointed look on your face, "So mean.... This isn't how you're supposed to treat your spouse." You whispered but you quickly bring a smile to your face. ".... Alright fine. I'll go." You jump out the bars of the cage and run back to the entrance.

"I'll just wait until the red guy saves you again. I saw him not too long ago. It shouldn't be long. I'll make sure to visit you once you're back home. Bye, Peach!" You run out before Bowser can yell out at you for the backhand insult that you gave him.

Peach found herself slowly waving goodbye out you even though you were already gone.

It's been about a week after the faithful encounter with Princess Toadstool herself, but you promised to visit her as soon as possible when she got saved.

You stood at the entrance of Prach's Castle. Two of her toads stood up right at the entrance with shields, guarding the door. The toads that decided to accompany you stared at them with an 'unimpressed ' look written on their face, including a dangerous aura that surrounded your toad guards. Toadye was right beside you, making sure nothing funny was happening.

The toads that were guarding the door already looked petrified.

"What...What business do you have here?" The toad on the asked, standing his ground.

You walked up to them calmly, with a big smile on your face.

"Good afternoon, Citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom. My name is (y/n). I have come from the Kingdom of the Poison Mushrooms, and I am the princess of that Kingdom. My business today is to speak with the Princess of this castle. She was rescued not too long ago, and I felt a princess on- on-one would be a nice way for her to relax after the stressful situation."

You greeted as gracefully as you could with your gloved hands held tight to each other in anticipation. the looks on the guards' faces didn't ease up the anxiety that swell inside your chest. They seemed even more on edge hearing your Kingdom's name.

one clears his throat and straightens up. "I'm sorry that you have come this far, your majesty. But our Princess is very busy at the moment. I'm afraid she is not taking any visitors as of now"

Your smile falls a little at this news. Surely she could have enough time to at least speak with you. It has been a while and the path to becoming best friends is to keep in touch with one another.

"A-Are you sure? I don't mind waiting a little bit, but I would be happy to speak with her for just a few minutes. Just to let her know that I'm here?"

"We highly suggest that you come at another time. The p-princess has enough on her plate as it is." The other guard speaks up.

"Are you suggesting that your princess can't handle a few minutes to speak to a guest that has so graciously come all this way to check on her wellbeing?" Toadye buts in, crossing their arms together and glaring at the guards.

the guards' eyes widened in astonishment at her blunt words that they could barely register what she said."

"W-What are you implying?"

"I'm just curious as to why Princess Peach has two of her door guards tell us that she couldn't possibly come to the door for royal company. Are 2 minutes of her time that valuable that she can't tell us herself that she cannot have guests or.....Are you perhaps lying through your teeth?" She says without batting an eye at the two, making the toads hold their breaths.

You step in.

"HEeheh,ummmm, what my advisor is trying to say is that...We just want to see if the Princess is okay. I consider her to be someone I find a connection with, and I just want to bring relief to her Princess life. Someone who understands. But if she is too busy, I guess we'll leave."

the solemn look on your face hits the guards with hard guilt to their chest. they didn't think you would be this ad about it. before they could say anything else, the castle doors begin to open. Everyone steps back and it reveals Princess Peach herself with an elderly toad next to her.

She looks surprised to see your standing there with your own guard and advisor. "Princess (Y/N)?"

"Peach!!" You run up to her and gave her a big hug, but then quickly let go to hold onto her hands, with a huge smile on your face.

The guards, your guards, the elderly toad, and Toadye look with shock at your forward approach to Peach. It was so casual that it seemed like a capital offense.

Peach flinched at the sudden display of affection, but she soon calmed down and actually began to smile as well. She held your hands in hers too. It was actually nice to see you visit.

"Princess (Y/N), I was beginning to worry that you wouldn't show up today. I was starting to think something bad had happened."

"Pfft what no! I'm alright. I heard from your guards that you were too busy today. I was about to leave."

"Really. Is that so?" Peach gave the guards a look that made them look the other way. "No matter. I want to get to know you. I have tea and cake waiting inside the castle. Oh! -"

The princess looks back at the elderly toad by her side. 'Princess (Y/n), this is Toadswroth, he is my royal advisor and has taken care of me ever since I was a baby."

You step back and bow politely, albeit a little clumsily though.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Toadsworth. You look go for your age. You must be a hard-working toad!" He only chuckles and bows back.

"It's a pleasure to meet you too, princess."

You stand back up and gesture to Toadye. "Thsi is my loyal advisor Toadye. We are like two peas in a pod and she's been protecting me since I was young. she may be a bit mean, but she's really a sweetheart! Right,Toadye?

She stares at them for a second and gives a nod in acknowledgment. "A pleasure." As aloof as ever.

Princess Peach breaks the awkward silence with a cough. "Now then, let's have tea shall we?" She gestures inside as you go inside the castle.

Oh boy..it's hard to pick between Overwatch and Resident Evil 8, xhisdnznksso I'll pick Overwatch match up! Please and thank you! This was actually a hard decision!

I'm agender, lesbian, INFJ (very accurate) and Gemini Sun, Aquarius Moon, and Leo Rising.

I'm 5'2, with blue eyes, fair skin, brown hair (I get headaches if it's too long ;-;) and a curvy body type. My clothing style is a bit wacky, I sorta wear anything and don't match. If I had a NASA sweater, I'd wear it all the time. I'm a BIG ole science nerd!

My dream job was to be an astronaut or something that deals with space entirely, but that got messed up in high school. Hence why it’s a dream now :(. Now it’s to be an artist or writer because it’s one of the ways I know how to express myself.

I'm not comfortable with my own feelings, so I have trouble expressing them, believing that if I do, only bad things will open. I often stay trapped in my own thoughts. I'm very loyal, can be awkward in most situations(very uncomfortable in social situations), selfless, and love to help people no matter what. Once I've opened up to anyone, I don't shut up, and I love to goof around with them. I don't actually get mad. It's a hard emotion to get out of me. However, I'm told that I am quite tone deaf, not with music but actually talking tones.

I love to write, draw, fold origami, play games and listen to music(any genre that isn't country). I enjoy space and looking at the stars, I can sit for hours talking about them. Scary movies, I LOVE watching them so much. I wish to travel the world but funds and a fear of heights stop me. Greek mythology is wonderful as well!

It's probably not important, but I do have anxiety and depression.. I have breakdowns, but not as often as I used to.

Things I don’t like..The one thing I can think of is when someone assumes something about me. I can get rather defensive over the assumption and cry about it later, LOL. I’m also kinda a picky eater, but I’m willing to try new foods?

Things that attract me..I've never given much thought to it. I'd say that a few similar general interests, doesn't have to be a ton! I love learning new things, so if interests don't match fully, I'll be learning more about the person and what they like. ♡

She's down to watch scary movies anytime with you and she also is very intently listening when you talk to her about Greek mythology

If anyone mentions your mismatched clothes Ashe informs them that in fact you look amazing and they need to mind their own business

Things I'd like to see in my life time? well I did bring up a New Hope because I could live to see that enter the public Domain, I'd be in my 80s so it could happen. I'd love to see the end of the 95 year copyright, which would be the same year as Star Wars, in general I'd love for the law to change to something more reasonable because right now.... when the 95 year copyright term runs out we could be looking at works under copyright for well over 100 years, for example George Lucas is still alive if he died tomorrow by my math Empire would be under copyright till 2099, since he's a healthy (as far as I know) man in his late 70s he could live another 10 or 15 years (maybe even 20+) expending the term deep into the next century.

On Mickey Mouse, thats a tricky question. The Issue is the difference between Trademark and Copyright. Copyright is ownership of the whole idea in all contexts, while trademark is limited to images and words (or phrases) used for marketing. SO for example you could do a "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" style movie and have Mickey (and/or Minnie) show up. However Disney still holds/will hold the Trademark because those can be renewed endlessly, so you wouldn't be allowed to use his name in the title, or say his name in the trailers or any marketing. My question and I don't know is how much of the image do they own? could you use him in Steamboat Willie form? I would guess no, I think you'd be barred from using his image in marketing but I'd also guess you'd have a legal fight with Disney trying to use trademark as copyright.

in any case I think... there's a big big Disney community and I'd guess the first effect would be fan art and unofficial merchandise blowing up big time.

top 15? hmmm well I'll stick to stuff coming out in the near-ish future, I'm very unlikely under current laws to live to see Harry Potter become public, but that'd be a trip to see.

The Hobbit (1937): thankfully Elves and dwarfs were not made up by Tolkien so fantasy can basically steal his ideas freely but it's very clear we've all been playing in JRR's sandbox since at least The Lord of The Rings of not the Hobbit so releasing this out into the wild will be amazing also hobbits which he did make up (and also Ents, and the Uruk-hai) to finally be allowed to appear in all the fantasy literature that has elves and dwarfs.

The Wizard of Oz: Of course the original book by L. Frank Baum has been public for years and years and nothing stops any one from trying to make another one, and some have. See "The Wiz" and also "Wicked" but the 1939 movie remains a triumph and a huge piece of cultural history, I'm unsure what could be done with it, but you know

Superman, Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman, Captain America: I mean this should shock no one that this is something I want to see. But I think... Superman and Batman in particular are SUCH a universal part of our culture, you can stop randos on the street who have NEVER read a comic and say "what is Batman's name?" or Superman and they can answer, they can tell you Superman's powers. I think in terms of universally known and recognizable pieces of pop culture... I mean nothing else under copyright today is as big of a pop icon as they are they are as part of the basement of our popular imagination as Dracula, or Santa.

Do you prefer writing dialogue or description? I like writing dialogue, but have a bad habit of just wanting to write dialogue like a movie script and force descriptions into existence lol. Hardest character to write? Honestly? Like all of them. I know some of the lore as whole but not really how all characters act and think. I find writing c!tommy and c!wilbur the easiest because I like to read crimboi centred fics. So I know what I know from what I read.

when did you start writing g/t? Literally started actually writing a decent fic when I joined Tumblr and found the prompt I’m still writing. I think I may have one or two fics I tried writing as gt buried somewhere on usb’s from when I was still at school but I’m not sure but they’d be like 4 or 5 years old now.

did you write any type of fanfiction before you got into gt/mcyt g/t? 1. I have one fan fic. Not gt. Its a miraculous ladybug fic. Set in the future and I wrote it just after the end of season 1. It’s my lil baby and on my ipad. from the fics you've posted (and one's you're in the process of writing), which character would you like to meet? why? uhhhhhhhh sheesh hard one. Um probably Tommy from the fic I haven’t posted yet. I can’t explain why without spoilers, but I love him.

what is the hardest part about writing for you? Just having an actual plot and endings. Endings so damn hard qwq do you write for yourself or people? Myself. With everything I create, its for me. I do it for fun. Sometimes, if I get really inspired, I’ll create for others because I’m a gift giver and I like giving people things. But trying to create for others feels like I box myself in and am forced to create which I just can’t handle.

An angsty RP idea I came up with from the zombie movie: Maggie

This is where darkon curses Shelby with this particular zombie infection,the first concerning sign for the gang was when they’d hear Shelby often vomiting,one time GF even saw Shelby vomiting blood,it was then that blue,using his magic figured out what was going on with her,he realized she was becoming a rabid animal type of zombie,as the days would progress Shelby would gain these affects,black veins,reddened eyes,pale skin,darker hair,black blood,white eyes,immunity to pain,an enhanced sense of smell and finally completely black eyes with black teeth,gradually losing her humanity,however there’s one good news,for some reason a small part of her humanity would remain,just hidden under layers of dark magic,blue could also sense that some form of magic was keeping her alive

For the next couple of days,the gang would look after and try to comfort her through this very VERY bad sickness,Shelby would notice that pico seemed on edge when talking to her,always just a second from pulling out his gun,sometimes beta and pico would get into fights cause of this and Shelby preferred to just cry in the bathroom..one day,it went full Fiedler,as her mind became so warped by the illness that she almost bit her own brother,he held her by the jaw and as the two struggled,Shelby seemed to gain back control,now with very strained speech and got off him..only to hear a gun click,at this point she could not see,but she could hear and smell,she felt cornered,panicked,her fear washing over her,with no other choice in her mind,she ran to the only place she felt safe,the bathroom.

Beta,MB and GF follow,and comfort her in one of her most vulnerable until she allows herself to fall asleep..for the next couple of days she actually starts getting better,the symptoms begin to fade away as her body slowly goes back to normal,as it turned out,darkon thought if the gang thought if she was a zombie,they would kill her without question for thier own survival,and eventually as she heals,pico does apologize explaining he just wanted to protect his best friend and his lovers,Shelby understands and forgives him as she makes a full recovery! QwQ)

But I was thinking about something similar.. ish idk.. uhhh I was thinking that Nexus' guilt will build up slowly in him.. crawling inside his head.. inside his heart.. slowly making lose his mind as he more and more realize that he's done something that he.. it's not regret.. I mean regret is not enough - it's bigger and worse than regret.. he realizes that he's done something that he won't be able to live with.. he won't ever be able to feel normal again..

Or it'll be simply that when Sun will die and he'll be holding his body at first laughing trumphantly or whatever.. but then the sudden realization would hit him.. and he'll remember what Eclipse once told him so long ago.. just like in Eclipse's foreseeing..

Because Eclipse wasn't talking about Solar.. I bet 100% that he was talking about Sun..

Because I don't remember New Moon ever recflecting on anything he did.. when Solar died we didn't have this moment of reflection.. he didn't have this "movie moment" when character remembers something from the past.. like in this case Eclipse's words.. New Moon wasn't thinking about that at all.. hence why I believe that Eclipse wasn't talking about Solar..

Also why he'd mistaken Solar for Sun.. I mean Solar ain't their brother yet back then and from what Eclipse was saying it seemed like he was seeing things.. so if he saw Solar's death he'd know it wasn't Sun.. like I think that he wouldn't care about Solar dying 😭

I'm sorry but let's be real.. the only people Eclipse cared about were Sun and Moon..

Like how could Eclipse look at Solar dying in New Moon's arms and be like "yep that's Sun, that's Moon's brother, definitely".. I'm sorry to all Solar's fans but Solar would never be important to Eclipse 😭

Also New Moon did exactly the opposite of what he told Eclipse back then - now I can reach out to people and ask for help.. but after he had that vivid dream he didn't ask for help.. he started acting exactly like Old Moon..

And I really think that what Eclipse told him back then really was another thing that fuelled New Moon's paranoia regarding Sun dying..

New Moon was obsessed with Sun's death and wanted to keep him safe.. but we all know that obsession can lead to horrible things and in this case New Moon will be a cause of Sun's death..

And you know what.. I realized only now.. but what if New Moon became so obsessed with bringing Solar back and later with just killing and doing whatever he wants.. just to forget about the thought about Sun dying.. what if New Moon wanted to spend so much time with Solar because of that in the first place.. because whenever he was with Sun he couldn't help the paranoia..

And maybe New Moon was so much on the edge when Eclipse returned because he remembered back then Eclipse's words..

Like I said you can't go simply from being the only one who is concerned about someone's well-being to straight up not caring about that person at all..

New Moon was the only one who was concerned about Sun's well-being - the alcohol and self-destructive tendencies.. I think that the fear of losing Sun is what actually drove New Moon insane..

But he is at the point when he denies that he ever cared about Sun.. he tries his hardest to forget.. but when Sun will die because of him.. it'll come back crushing him.. because he'll remember about his fear.. and he'll realize that he's the one who ultimately let his fear to become a reality..

TO BE A MIRROR [7]

Summary: Sun was dead (sort of). It wasn't anyone's fault (it was Nexus's fault), but anyway that poor boy was in a deep coma, too weak to get out of his own head.

Nexus had no regrets. But for some reason, recently, he had hallucinations of Sun.

*** Warning: kinda nonsense, unrelied narative. I am not actually like this chap. It feels like no matter what I try, I couldn't interpret good enough. Anyway, maybe write it again later.

The lab was silent, save for Nexus, who was still working. The sky was a heavy, burning orange, casting soft yellow streaks back onto his desk. There was the rustling of papers, and the clacking of keyboards. Nexus's crimson eyes stared up at the projection screen, the specs and energy levels of the Wither Storm fragments so large and so difficult to understand that they fascinated Nexus, like a puzzle he was eager to solve.

‘So this is what you did after killing me, brother?’

The high-pitched, shrill voice rang out from behind Nexus, so suddenly that his steady typing speed suddenly stopped.

At the corner of Nexus’s eyes, a yellow animatronic appeared. In the cold white of the lab and the oppressive black of the machines, their yellow silhouettes seemed to glow brightly, warming the room.

‘How filthy, I thought when you had your own robots, you would keep the room cleaner.’

The smile that stretched across Nexus’s face twisted a bit. He ignored its presence, trying to focus on the new discovery he had made about the Wither Storms.

Hallucinations were nothing new to Nexus, and he didn’t care if he had another one either.

It's not like he regretted what he did.

Continuing to look through the papers, Nexus’s ears twitched as he heard a loud noise behind him. The bells jingled irritatingly, the familiar whistling of cleaning was seared into Nexus’s memory. He knew exactly what they were touching, and their clumsy hands would inevitably drop something—

‘Look at this room… It’s so dirty, messy… Guess you and Moon are no different—’

“THAT GUY AND I ARE NOTHING LIKE THIS!!!”

Nexus screamed. He jumped out of his chair, twisting to face the nuisance, but suddenly, he couldn't say any words. There was no sound to escape his voice box.

Sun…

The ghost of the man he had coldly murdered looked as cheerful as ever.

‘Oh, and so now you notice me?’

Silence gave way to an answer.

‘Do you like what you see?’

The sun-themed face, stained in soot. The milky white eyes, now glinting with the color of Wither shards, squinted into a smile. Their entire bodies were drenched in a black, shiny oil, dripping with every step they took. The smell of burnt cloth and tar wafted to Nexus’s nose, making him want to vomit…

The energy of magic and star power filled the air. The expression was pained and exhausted, the eyes flashed with unbridled anger in a body that was about to shatter into pieces. The words were like poison that escaped Sun’s mouth like a ghost in Nexus’s ears, but he was too busy laughing, too busy enjoying the horrified look on Moon’s face, that he care about the consequences he had caused.

‘Are you satisfied now, Nexus?’

When Nexus first saw Sun, he thought…

‘What a poor wretch.’

They looked as if they had just stepped out of the pit of hell, and were constantly shaking like leaves.

Their shoulders were stiff, their joints were too tense, their hands were about to tear the already tattered ribbons wrapped around their wrists.

They almost nestled into Earth, their milky eyes frozen like a fawn when he entered. The pain in those eyes was so intense that the code of ‘Moon’ bounced nonstop, urging him to move closer, instinctively hugging the yellow animatronic to his chest.

But they immediately lowered their eyes, their incomprehensible body language both warning him to stay away from them and begging him to come closer.

A not-so-light confusion was felt by the newborn moon animatronic, and a vague feeling of pain rose in his chest from where he saw the person who was called his ‘twin’, reluctantly avoiding him.

‘What did I do wrong? ’

Nexus later learned he had done a lot wrong.

“What are you doing here? Don’t you have a family to haunt?”

Nexus was grumpy. He knew it was all in his head, but he was still drawn into these illusions. He thought that after pulling out that bastard’s chip, all his guilt would disappear away.

And for a while, they did.

Sun whistled, his voice stuttering happily. “There’s no way I’m missing my favorite brother, right?”

“Especially seeing how you don’t take care of yourself at all.”

“Moon, you shouldn’t stay up so late like that.”

Everything was wrong. Sun was dead, broken, comatose, what-so-ever. And Sun had never called him ‘brother’ so cheerfully like that. And there was no way the real one would look at him with anything other than disappointment and exhaustion.

“I love you, but I can’t forgive you, Nexus.”

“Brother?”

“Shut up!” Nexus closed his eyes and frowned. Nexus never hated feeling lonely more than right now, at least Ruin’s nagging was annoying at times, but it also kept him from being distracted.

‘Oh? Moon, you look stressed. Do you want me to do something for you? Let’s play a game? Or eat something, you do like sushi, right?’

Sun’s distorted form was filled with concern, even the way Sun’s hand usually waved in the air, it was exactly the same.

Nexus didn’t understand what was going on.

“I killed you. I killed you, and I don’t regret it at all! Why are you still here?” Nexus screams, he never feels more exhausted than that.

The rays of light shrank, the head tilted to the side in a curious and incomprehensible way. The positive energy from before disappeared, ‘Sun’s’ voice, returning to the timid and anxious one he was used to knowing.

“Aren’t you the one who knows best?”

“Moon!” The animatronic image disappeared into the darkness, to a place Nexus couldn’t find. He shouted until his voice was hoarse, but his twin's figure was still nowhere to be seen.

"Sun!"

Moon opened his eyes abruptly. He jumped up, his whole body covered in sweat, which should have been impossible since they were both machines. His hands were shaking non-stop, and his optics could see nothing but the hazy darkness.

"Moon!! What's wrong?"

A yellow figure ran over in panic. His brother's face showed concern, their clumsy hand touched his shoulder and shook him gently.

Oh... Nothing happened. It was just a nightmare.

The chilling feeling was still there, making Nexus restless. Sun was still here, his brother was still here. Nothing happened, Creator didn't catch his brother, Bloodmoon didn't catch his brother.

His brother was fine.

They were still together.

He was fine.

"Moon..? Moon..? Is something wrong? Why are you holding my hand so tightly like that?"

Sun asked softly, moving closer to him. They sat in the dark, only hearing the sound of each other's gears running.

"I'm fine... Sun... It was just a nightmare..." Nexus answered with a smile, his voice box seemed to have an error. He couldn't breathe, it was painful and frustrating, and he didn't understand where that feeling came from.

Bloodmoon's malicious smile still rang in Nexus's ears, and the cold feeling of losing Sun still made Nexus feel scared, so scared to the point that he wanted to tear the charger plugged into his head, wanted to burn everything that was making him feel uncomfortable right now to the point of overload.

"Do you want us to do something? We can play games together? Do you want me to call Earth, or Solar?"

"No!" Nexus blurted out. He didn't want anyone else to see him like this, weak and confused. Not even Solar, especially Solar. The orange animatronic has too many things to worry about, and it feels weak to let Solar know that he is not strong, not reliable like other Moon. Having Sun was enough, he just needed Sun. His brother is the only one he feels safe with, the only one he knows they will never leave him. Not in any state.

Nexus slowly clung to Sun like a drowning man clutching a stake. His head was so foggy, so foggy that he was panicking, unable to think about what was happening.

A clumsy hand rested on his back. A soft sigh, full of the helplessness of someone who was used to not being able to help no matter how hard he tried.

“Okay, then we’ll sit here together. It’s okay Moon, I’m fine. It’s okay Moon, you are safe…”

He wanted to say, the one who wasn’t safe here was you.

He wanted to say, why do you keep slipping through my fingers every time I try to hold you, why could I never keep you safe?

He wanted to say, I need you, I need you to be mine, I need you to see me and not think about someone who is already dead.

But all that came out of his mouth were the empty words: “I think I watched too many movies last night Sun. I’m fine now.”

His footsteps echoed down the hallway. The cold white was replaced by darker shades of the gothic designs of Dark Sun's castle, with the ghostly blue will-o'-the-wisp flickering with every step he took, like eyes watching Nexus's every move.

Once again, he stood there but couldn't enter. Dark Sun had made sure of that, with a sharp warning of the consequences he would face if Nexus decided to pull anything stupid.

The two-way mirror reflected the other end, revealing the bleak form of a yellow animatronic.

Sun…

They lay motionless on the couch, with thick tentacle-like wires attached to their heads and midsections. The screens were a jumble of ones and zeros, with an incomprehensible purple glowing red across the screens.

They looked peaceful, almost as if they were sleeping, as if they had run out of battery from overwork.

Not at all like the people who had been murdered in cold blood by his hands.

‘Oh, look at me.’ ‘Sun’ laughed nervously. ‘I look terrible.’

‘Yes.’ Nexus sighed.

‘Brother, who do you think looks worse, me or that other guy?’

The stench of oil and broken metal pieces sprouted from Sun's chest.

Nexus stays silent. He doesn’t want to say anything, he doesn’t want to look at Sun or ‘Sun’, hearing their voice in his ears anymore. 

They are not worse like Moon, or Solar hallucinations before, making him instantly in guilt and doubt. But they…

He hates them. Why are they not gone for good?

‘Sun’ pointed to his torn chest, and then to the lifeless robot lying inside. 

‘Wish you didn't kill me, am I right?’

‘I don’t know…’ Nexus whispered back.

That night, while Sun was sleeping, he walked in and sat next to Sun. His brother was charging, silent and oblivious as always. Clumsily and furtively, Nexus’s hand grabbed the soft tendrils clinging to Sun’s waist, holding it in his palm, as if trying to feel its warmth.

‘Why do you feel so far away when you're right next to me, Sun??’
