I feel like "dating" izana would probably feel more like taking care of a stray cat for the first few months. He's very aloof and probaby doesn't really enjoy physical contact unless he's the one initiating it. He also seems the type to just ghost you for days only to turn up in the middle of the night with bandages on him before he slumps into your arms, exhausted. Though if you point out the similarities hed probaby just scoff at you and call you weird or something.

He also has sharp senses so he'll notice if you smell different than usual or he'll hear your quiet sighs. Unwittingly he memorizes how gentle your touch feels and leans into it without realizing only for the spell to be broken and he once again retreats into his usual cold facade.

I love how the Halloween vibes hit me hard starting in August and finally peter out right on the day—spent most of today thinking ahead to Thanksgiving. X’D

Anywho—was watching the Beetlejuice cartoon back in August to feed the spooky vibes and wondered how I’d translate the beetle-munching bit to that BH6/Beetlejuice fic I’ve been toying with.  Result: Obake munches on batteries, please don’t try that at home he is dead in this fic.

Another little tidbit I’ve been messing with are the stripes on his vest, with the idea that the more energy he has to juice with, the wider and brighter the red stripes are—usually in the Neitherworld he ends up with a red vest with thin black stripes, while in the regular world it’s the opposite; when the energy depletes he has to head back to the Neitherworld to recharge, hence his battery-snitching diet.

Anyway it’s still pretty far off from being ready to post but until then, happy Halloween!
