A+ Student Pt.5
Masterlist!
(Fem reader, suggestive, kissing, smut, female!receiving, etc. Not proofread!)
Summary: Y/n is a great student in her college, always getting good grades. Her college professor Matt, thinks she can get even higher ones with some “extra credit.” That is until she meets her new gym teacher..
“She was talking about professor Sturniolo right?” Lizzy asks me hesitantly, I shrug. “Yeah, I’m not bothered though.” I lie unbelievably. “Pfft,” she laughs slightly, looking at me with a raised eyebrow. “You’re not bothered? You’re literally gripping your skirt so tightly.” I look down as the fabric is clenched in my fists. I let go and laugh slightly, “I guess I do care a little bit.” I sigh.
Chris’ POV
I type up on my laptop plans for the next lesson with y/n’s class, gotta make it easier because I don’t want y/n to struggle. “Mr Sturniolo?” I look up, a woman in a fitted suit jacket with a pencil skirt is staring down at me with her arms crossed. “Uh yeah?” I reply in a confused tone. “I’m gonna need you to come with me please.” She states.
“Okay.. where are we going?” I ask slowly. “The Principal’s office, an anonymous note has told us something we need to talk to you about.” She keeps her eyes forward as she walks quickly ahead. Oh fuck.. this isn’t about what happened at break? Nobody else was in there nobody could’ve heard us, or seen us..
“Everything alright Mr Sturniolo?” She doesn’t look back. “Oh, yeah.. call me Chris if you want.” I try to soften the tone in the air. “No.. I keep it professional.” We arrive at the Principals door and she opens it.
“Hello Christopher.” The principal smiles softly before dropping it. “Take a seat.. thank you Andrea.” The lady leaves the room. “Why am I in here?” I ask, trying to play dumb. “Do you value your job Mr Sturniolo?” He leans on the desk and peers at me from above his glasses. “Yeah of course, I love my job.” I smile.
“Do you respect the workplace and its rules and guidelines?” He asks again staring into my eyes. “Yes I do.” I nod, he grabs something from his drawer and places it in front of me. A mirror. “You seem to have a little.. a lot of things on your neck, do you not?” I look in the mirror at my neck, which is plastered in hickies.
My face drops, “Oh uh.. I had my girlfriend over last night I didn’t know-” I start to explain.. lying obviously. “It’s okay Mr Sturniolo, I don’t need personal details but make sure to cover it up, this is a first warning so you aren’t in trouble.” He smiles softly.
I sigh softly, “I’m sorry.” I scratch the back of my head, “it’s alright, us men like our women but sometimes we have to hide it.” He chuckles and I awkwardly chuckle back. I get up to leave and the principal gives me a little wave. I quickly rush back to the gym and throw on my jacket, which almost covers all of the marks.
It’ll have to do.
Y/n’s POV
I pack up my stuff and leave the sociology classroom, “I fell asleep.” Lizzy smiles as we walk to the exit. “Really? I couldn’t tell.” I sarcastically joke, she let out a few snores causing people around her to laugh. “Did I snore loudly?” She asks nervously, “meh, it was like semi loud.” I laugh and she groans in embarrassment.
“Right I gotta go, my mom needs me,” Lizzy rolls her eyes, “my aunt and uncle are visiting.” She sighs. “Does that mean?” I start to say but she finishes my sentence. “My annoying little cousin is here too.”
Lizzys cousin Theo is like 10 years old and the most annoying kid ever, he will tell his parents any gossip Lizzy says while she’s on the phone, he will constantly go through her stuff and he told Liz’s mom about my secret boyfriend 2 years ago and then my dad found out.. wasn’t fun.
I start to walk home as I get a text from Matt. “I have 2 hours where Chris and Nick aren’t here, at 5. Come over.” I smile and reply, “okayy.” I put my phone away and start to walk home faster. I hear footsteps running behind me, Mason. “Hey.” He smiles, breathing heavily. “How far did you run?” I laugh slightly.
“Just from the bench down there to.. here.” His cheeks are slightly flushed. “I thought you were an athlete, how are you out of breath from that?” I scoff. “I am an athlete y/n, I just didn’t stretch.” He rolls his eyes. “Why are you walking with me?” I ask him, raising an eyebrow. “Oh I am meeting my friends this way to walk home.”
“What are you doing in like an hour?” He asks me, breaking the silence. I look up at him with confusion. “Why?” I hesitantly ask. “I dunno if you wanna like get coffee or something.” He shrugs. He’s got nice intentions but no.
“I’m busy sorry.” I sigh, trying to act sympathetic. “Oh.. no worries, it was worth asking.” He smiles. About 10 minutes pass and I’m about to turn down my street, “I thought you were meeting your friends?” I tilt my head, “yeah I am, in the field down there.” He points down the main road and smiles softly. “Oh okay, this is my street so I’ll see ya.” I smile back.
“Bye y/n!” He calls as I walk away. He’s a sweet person but I just can’t find him attractive, hopefully he finds someone else to like. I walk through my front door to see my dad laying on the couch with a Pepsi in his hand watching sports or something. “Hey dad.” I smile, “hey pumpkin, how was your day?”
Pumpkin is the nickname he’s called me for the past 12 years, because when I was 6 around Halloween we went to a pumpkin patch with mom and I was running and fell face first into a pile of pumpkins and it went all over me. I cried but he thought it was funny to call me pumpkin after that. Now I find it a sweet nickname but I hated it when I was a kid.
“It was okay, I’m going out in like an hour.” I tell him, he nods. “No worries, stay safe though.” I walk upstairs to my bedroom and lay on my bed, spreading my limbs out on it. I take a deep breath before going in the shower.
After my shower I dry my hair and get dressed into a basic fit, I want to be comfy bc I know what’s gonna go down. I do some makeup, not too much, and I go downstairs to leave. “Bye dad!” I call as I leave, “see you later y/n!” I hear from the kitchen. I walk to his house, as it’s only 15 minute walk away, although last time I took a cab.
I finally arrive at Matts house and I see the expensive car is gone. I knock the door hoping Chris and Nick are not there. Luckily Matt opens in and smiles when he sees me, “I’m guessing either Nick or Chris drive the Porsche?” I smirk, “yeah Chris spent a stupid amount of money on it, I drive it sometimes too.” He explains as we walk in.
We sit on the couch, “Deja vu.” I laugh softly, “yeah, except this time I won’t freak out.” He chuckles, “prove it.” I taunt him with a smirk, he tilts his head and grins before leaning in and kissing me, this time feels more passionate.
His hand finds place at the back of my head and the other one on my thigh. My hands entangle in his hair as he pushes me back on the couch slightly, deepening the kiss. His tongue explores my mouth and I let out a soft moan as his hand rubs my upper thigh. He breaks the kiss partially to say something.
“Let’s go upstairs, don’t wanna make a mess on my couch.” He breathes out. I nod and go to stand up but he picks me up like a princess and carries me up the stairs, walking into his room which has a comforting vibe to it. Before I can take it all in he throws me down onto the satin sheets.
“Bet Chris didn’t do this did he?” Matt smirks as he slides my shorts off pulling me to the edge of the bed. “No, it was different because he had to stand and hold me the whole ti-” I start speaking but Matts hand covers my mouth. “I don’t need to hear how my brother fucked you okay?” He looks at me before removing my panties quickly.
He kneels at the end of the bed, his hot breath fanning against my inner thigh as he moves my legs onto his shoulders. “Gonna make you feel good, treat you for being such a good girl in class.” He peppers kisses along my thighs closer and closer to my heat as I squirm. I can’t believe I’m actually doing this with him, he’s had a change of heart now that he knows Chris fucked me first. He’s gonna make this a competition between them I know it.
He starts to kitten lick my folds to tease me, I whine pushing towards him for more. He grabs my hip with one hand, pushing it against the bed to stop me moving. Without warning he dips his tongue inside of me before swirling it around my clit. My back arches off the bed as I moan out.
He grabs both my thighs and pulls me closer, his tongue lapping at my heat. “Fuck Matt..” my hands travel down to his hair as I grip it tightly. He continues to swish and swirl his tongue around me, occasionally dipping it into me causing my back to arch and my grip on his hair to tighten.
“Matt.. I can’t.. I’m gonna cum.. please..” I whimper as his pace doesn’t slow. He hums against me, the vibration hitting my clit in the right way which results in me reaching my high and coming undone. He licks up the rest of my arousal before bringing his face up towards me, I wipe the sweat off of my forehead and breathe heavily.
He leans to kiss me, my arousal still on his chin and I turn my head away, “wipe that off ya lips before kissing me.” I chuckle softly, “you don’t wanna taste yourself? Hm?” He continues to try and put his face by mine, teasing and joking around. “Definitely not, it’s gross.” I squirm, “I disagree, I could have my head between your thighs every day.” He smirks, lifting his shirt to wipe the arousal from his mouth.
“Will you kiss me now?” He grabs my cheeks and brings my face to face his. I nod and he pushes his lips to mine his tongue instantly exploring my mouth, I bite his lip softly and he groans. “Fuck I need you.. to feel you.” He whispers lowly. “Please do..” I whine softly, “You’re gonna take it like the good girl you are.. yeah?” He asks, looking me in the eyes with lust.
“Yes.. of course.. definitely.. I will.” I speak rapidly, needing to feel him inside of my walls. He starts to unbuckle his belt, not breaking the eye contact. He begins to pull down his pants but then.. Slam.
Both of us look towards the bedroom door and back at eachother, “that was a car door right?” I whisper and Matt nods, he checks his watch. “It’s 6pm they said they’d be back at 7.. shit.” He re does his pants back up and I sit up, “get your clothes on.” He throws my panties and shorts at me. His entire tone and body language has changed and now it’s more tense.
“Jeez okay..” I put my clothes back on, I feel gross he didn’t clean me up or anything but I can’t go to the bathroom because they’re home. “What do I do?” I whisper, “just shut up a sec okay?” He snaps, “oh.” I sigh and sit back on the bed. “Matt?” I hear Chris call from downstairs, “stay here.” He spoke softly and I nod, “good girl.” He mumbles before leaving the room and closing it behind me.
I grab my phone from his dresser and open it, 4 missed calls from Lizzy? What the fuck? I text Lizzy, “hey everything okay?” She replies almost instantly, “No. But it’s fine now, no thanks to you though.” Fuck. “I’m pretty busy right now Liz I’m sorry.” I would help her right now but I don’t know what’s happening with me and Matt.
She leaves me on opened. Great, I don’t even know what’s happening or what her problem is. Matt comes back in and grabs my arm, quickly leading me downstairs and through the front door, “see you on Monday.” He whispers flicking his hand so I leave shutting the door behind me. So rude, I thought he was actually giving a fuck about me. It’s raining too, I’m gonna get hypothermia.
I turn to walk down the street away from his house and I hear someone call my name, I look up quickly to see.. Chris?? “Y/n? Why are you by my house?” He asks walking closer, my eyes widen in fear. “Uh.. I was.. fuck, I don’t know.” I lie looking down at my feet. “You stalking me?” He chuckles, I laugh lightly and shake my head.
“No, not that.” I sigh, “it’s cold and raining, you wanna come in for a warm drink or something?” He smiles lightly, I can’t go back in there especially if I just got kicked out by Matt. I thought Chris got home with Nick? “I can’t sorry, I’m going home.” I smile softly, “oh okay.” He looks disappointed. “You were in my house weren’t you?” He steps closer so we are inches apart.
“What no! Why would I be-” I go to like but he cuts me off, “you were with Matt. I know because I heard you shuffling around upstairs when he came downstairs to greet us.” He spoke sternly. “If you were inside then how are you out here?” I ask, looking up at him. “I watched you leave from my bedroom window, then I snuck downstairs and got out quickly to see you.” He sighs.
“So you were stalking me?” I chuckle, “you were the one inside of my house,” he laughs softly, “about that, what were you and Matt doing?” He asks me, but I know he knows the answer. I tilt my head at him, “we didn’t fuck.” I cross my arms, “I never said you did.” He smirks, “I’d rather not go into details.” I scoff.
“Mhm, he wouldn’t have been able to fuck you as good as I can.. right?” He leans down slightly and I shrug. “Right?” He asks again more aggressively. I smirk, “sure whatever you want to believe.” I go to turn around to walk away. “Let me drive you home, you’re gonna get wet ma.” The nickname causes me to turn quickly, “I already am.” I smirk, “in what way?” He tilts his head.
“Not the way you’re thinking, that’s inappropriate Mr Sturniolo.” I bite my lip lightly, “I’ll bring my car around, so Matt doesn’t see you.” He nods and rushes around the corner, the tension was so strong but the rain is getting worse I can’t think about anything other than my hands freezing off. The Porsche drives around the corner and pulls up, I open the passenger door and get in.
“Thanks.” I breathe out, he presses the seat heaters on and leans in the seat behind him and pulls out one of his jackets. “Put that on, you should wear it to school on Monday.” He smirks, “it’s a college not a school.” I scoff, “same thing, and I can take the jacket back if you’re gonna be ungrateful.” He looks at me before laughing slightly.
“You know.. I should be mad that you were with my brother but for some reason, I don’t give a shit.” He adds, turning on music, “Maybe it’s because you’ve got a bigger-” I stop myself, “a bigger??” He asks, “Ego.” I huff. “Sure, sure.” He smiles.
He pulls over for a moment “Wait where do you live? I just realised I don’t know where I’m going.” He looks at me, “we don’t need to go to my house right now.” I grin, “what’re you thinking?” He tilts his head, “I think we should go for a drive and chill out.” I smile.
“Does chilling out include you riding me in the backseat or..” he laughs and I do too, “Chris!” I say and pause for a moment. “Maybe.. just keep driving.” I add. He smiles widely and starts to drive again..

Love at first bite - Boris Pavlikovsky x reader
Pairing: Boris Pavlikovsky (The Goldfinch) x f!decker!reader
Warnings: very fluffy, just Boris (metaphorically) drooling over the reader. Sfw still 🎀
Summary: you’re Theo’s cousin, in Vegas for a few days to visit him and his dad. While you’re cooking at the Deckers house, Theo gets an interesting and very good looking visitor.
Love note from Nina: I know not many people like my Boris fics, but I recently finished reading The Goldfinch for the first time, so bear with me here. Hope you enjoy it 💕
You had gotten to the Deckers house earlier that morning - Theo had already left for school, but uncle Larry and Xandra picked you up at the airport before leaving for work. That meant you were alone in the house for a few hours, so you decided to do some cleaning and cooking to wait for everyone to come home.
At around 3 in the afternoon, the doorbell rang. You opened the door, but surely wasn’t hoping to see such a tall, handsome dark haired boy in front of you.
“Hi! You’re Theo’s friend, uh… Boris, right?” you asked, trying to sweeten up your voice as much as you could and fixing your hair.
Theo didn’t have any friends in Vegas besides Boris, so of course you knew about him, but his accent seemed even cuter and more distinct in person as he spoke.
“Yes, that is me” he nodded, smiling softly. “And you’re…?”
“Y/n, I’m Theo’s cousin, nice to meet you” you answered, greeting him with a kiss on the cheek, something very common in your part of the family. “I guess he should be coming home soon. Would you like some coffee? I just brewed it, it’s still pretty hot”
Boris nodded and you turned around to get back to the kitchen, not catching his silly smile as he gently touched his cheek where you had kissed him.
“Are you coming, dear?” you raised your voice slightly so he’d hear you from the door, as you were now in the kitchen.
Boris soon came along and sat on one of the kitchen chairs. You served him some of the cookies you had baked earlier, as well as a cup of coffee.
“You made these?” he asked, mouth full of cookies already. “So good”
“Yeah, just before you got here, actually” you chuckled, finding his reaction funny. “So Theo would have something to eat when he came back from school, you know… But I made way too many, so I’m glad you’re here to help us eat them”
“I’m glad too” Boris answered, happily chewing on the cookies and sipping the coffee you had made.
“I was also making him a cake, so I’ll have to finish that and put it in the oven” you said, turning around to resume your work.
“I couldn’t find the cooking spray anywhere to grease the cake pan, so we’re gonna have to do it the old fashioned way” you shrugged, opening the fridge and reaching for a stick of butter.
“Can I help?” Boris asked, sounding like a little boy wanting to help mommy in the kitchen.
“Of course” you chuckled. “Can you grease the cake pan for me?”
“Sure” he responded, his accent thickening as his body got closer to yours in front of the kitchen counter. “So I just spread the butter on the inside, everywhere?”
“Exactly, and then you put some flour on top and make sure the whole cake pan is covered with a thin layer of flour, ok?”
“I can do that” Boris nodded. He did as he was told, and soon, the cake pan was greased and the batter was nicely deposited on it.
Boris helped you open the oven, chuckling at your worries that he’d burn himself. As soon as the cake was put in the oven and you had set the timer, Theo opened the front door.
He walked around looking for Xandra - it was weird that she hadn’t been home yet. But he saw Boris and you, which was more than enough to get him concerned - he knew Boris couldn’t see a girl doing “old fashioned girly things” (like cooking) and leave her alone. That foreigner boy was a little too flirty for Theo’s liking, and he wanted none of that to happen to his cousin.
He took Boris to the living room to talk more privately, leaving you in the kitchen to prepare the icing for the cake.
“Potter, she’s so beautiful! Your cousin?” Boris asked, nearly whispering. Too bad for him that you could hear it perfectly, and a hand quickly clamped over your mouth to stifle a chuckle.
“Yeah, Boris, she’s my cousin. She’s visiting for a few days. Why do you ask?” Theo answered, seeming annoyed. You didn’t even have to be looking at him to know he rolled his eyes so hard they nearly fell off his head.
“Would you mind if I kissed her? I don’t have to do more than kiss if you don’t want” he said, seeming a bit defensive. “But she’s so beautiful, I really want to kiss her, I never met a girl like her, so, uh, so женственный”
You blushed to yourself in the kitchen, stirring up the icing of the cake in order to keep normalcy - the noise from the whisk on the pot would be enough for them to pay you no attention at all. You had no idea what that last word meant, but it sounded like a compliment.
“Well, you don’t have to ask ME that, you can go ask her if she wants to kiss you” Theo spat, coming off jealous.
“Fine, you cranky” he answered. “But you better seem happier when I marry her” he added, as he walked towards the kitchen. “A woman like that has to have a good husband, and I make sure is me”
Boris entered the kitchen again as you were setting the icing bowl aside.
“Everything ok with Theo?” You asked, trying not to bring up anything you had heard from the living room.
“Da, he’s just cranky” Boris shrugged softly. “I said you were beautiful and he got jealous”
You laughed at his sincerity. “Really? You think I’m beautiful, then?”
“Totally, very beautiful. I asked if he would be mad if I kissed you” his right arm had ended up around your waist somehow, but it’s not like you were gonna swat it away. You enjoyed his touch.
“And what did he say?” You asked, turning your body to face him, your lips now dangerously close to his.
“I don’t really care. Can I kiss you?”
You nodded, chuckling and putting your hands to his cheeks, lightly pulling him down to compensate for his height.
Boris leaned in and kissed you very gently, as if you were made of sugar and could melt at the slightest touch of his lips. His arms were around your body, fingers lightly tracing the curve of your waist, his cold hands sending shivers to the hot bare skin of your belly.
His lips intertwined perfectly with yours, his tongue timidly slipping into your mouth as his hands grabbed your waist. You couldn’t help but faintly moan into the kiss and put your hand to his nape, fingers interlocking in his hair, bringing him closer. He was clearly trying to contain himself, and seemed utterly out of breath when you bit his lower lip maliciously.
When you broke the kiss, the look on his face was quite similar to when he used drugs: pupils dilated, eyes wide open, mouth slightly open and cheeks flushed. His palms were a bit sweaty and he muttered something in Russian that you couldn’t comprehend. You had gotten him wrapped around your finger - it must have been love at first bite.

Epilogue
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x OFC!Theo
Summary: Bucky has to marry a woman who surprises him more and more as their story goes along.
Word count: 1,511
Warnings: angst. Swearing. Fluff.
A/N: thank you to everyone who liked, commented, reblogged this series. I was worried that no one was going to like it because of it being an OC but I’m so glad that some people did, you’re the best!💕
Masterlist Series Masterlist
After a month long honeymoon in beautiful Romania they were landing back in New York, it was back to normal, sadly. Bucky really wanted to stay in Romania for as long as possible but they couldn’t.
Wanda all but rugby tackled Theo the second they got off the jet, Nat jumping in too. “I think they’ve missed her.” Bucky said to Steve and Sam.
“They wouldn’t shut up asking when she was coming home.” Steve laughed.
“What about me?”
“Don’t care about you!” Wanda shouts from the floor where she’s still hugging Theo.
“The disrespect.” Bucky mumbled with a shake of his head. “Can you get off my wife please?”
“She’s our wife now!” Nat and Wanda shout in unison causing Theo to giggle.
“She isn’t and we’ve got places to go, so let’s go.”
Bucky moves over to where the three lay on the runway and helps them all stand, his hands smoothing out Theo’s dress. “Come on pretty girl.”
In the Range Rover Theo told the girls all about Romania and the places they visited, she didn’t realise that they hadn’t arrived back home yet or that the car was pulling up to a large building. Even then she didn’t really understand what was going on.
“Pretty girl, this is yours.”
“What?”
“It’s an art gallery.”
“Oh, it’s nice.”
“It’s yours.” He tells her again, they all chuckle as her feet stop dead. Her eyes wide as she looks back at Bucky.
“Mine? Why?”
“So you can show off your art work? Do you not like it?”
“I love it! Thank you Bucky! Thank you.” She ran over to him and practically threw herself into his arms. “Thank you!”
*a year later*
Bucky’s heart was in his throat as he rushed through the hospital corridor, he couldn’t be late, he promised her that he wouldn’t miss this moment!
“She’s in here!” Wanda shouted as she saw Bucky running down the corridor with the guys in tow.
Three months after Bucky gifted Theo with the art gallery, the doors opened to the public - Theo was terrified that no one would come, she was left speechless when Sam came running in with a massive smile on his face telling her that there was people waiting down the street. And Bucky didn’t even have to threaten anyone.
Theo honestly didn’t think she was any good but when people kept asking to buy her artwork it gave her the confidence to carry on doing what she enjoyed doing.
That night Bucky and Theo celebrated a successful day at the gallery, just the two of them.
That was the night their baby was conceived.
“I’m here, I’m here pretty girl.”
Two hours after Bucky arrived at the hospital a healthy baby boy was born. Piercing blue eyes, patch of brown hair, a cute button nose, a dimpled chin. To his parents he was the definition of perfection.
“You did so well my pretty girl, so well.” He whispered as he puts her hair back up in a bun, kissing her forehead as he did. “Poor boys been cursed with the chin.”
“Shut up, I love it and yours.”
Their family came in an hour later all wanting a glimpse of their nephew and grandson. All quietly arguing with each other about who was going to hold him first.
It was Winnie that won.
“Have you picked a name for the little boy?” Sam asked as he leaned over the back of Winnie’s chair as she held his nephew.
“James Junior but we’ll call him JJ.” Bucky smiled.
Both Theo and Bucky knew that baby JJ was going to be loved and spoiled by his grandma, aunts and uncles.
Bucky wrapped his arm around Theo as sleep started to take over her tired body. “I love you my pretty girl.”
*five years later*
Not long after JJ was born Steve, Sam, Nat and Wanda decided it was time for them to fly the nest - as Sam put it - so they brought the house next door… they didn’t want to go far.
Obviously.
Since Bucky took over Michael’s businesses his empire grew, before Theo came along he would normally handle his operations himself but since Theo and the birth of his children he took a step back letting Steve and Sam take control. He still did go on business trips but never without Theo and JJ by his side.
Theo’s gallery had become so successful that she even brought a new building with her own money, her artwork was being brought and taken all over the world. There was one piece that many people had tried to buy going as far to offer millions for the piece but she wouldn’t budge. It was of Jess. It was the one project she took ages completing as she wanted it to be perfect.
As Bucky came home from being at the office, Martha greeted him with a soft smile her hand going out to take his coat off him but he shook his head. “You don’t work for me anymore Momma.”
“I know, just let me do this.”
“Fine but it’s the last time.”
The years were catching up to his other mom and with a heavy heart Bucky told her that it was time for her to retire, but making sure that she knew that she could always come home whenever she wanted. For her years of service Bucky brought Martha a new house, one that was closer to him. Winnie brought the house next to her, both Winnie and Martha now spent more time together… at Bucky and Theo’s house.
“They’re in the back yard.” She informed him. Pressing a kiss against her cheek he walked through the house to the backdoor.
He leaned against the door, watching as JJ drove his mini Range Rover - just like daddies as he said - as Harrison played in the sandbox, Theo trying to get him not to eat the sand.
Three years after JJ was born they were back in the hospital this time for Theo to give birth to a healthy baby Harrison. To them, their family was complete.
“Daddy!” JJ screamed as he saw him, driving over to Bucky - nearly hitting him in the legs.
“Hey buddy, you been good for momma?” He bends down to pick him up from the car.
“Yeah but Harry wasn’t he was eating mommas hair” the five year old giggled.
“Is that true little man?” Bucky asked Harrison who was now climbing all over Theo to get into Bucky’s arms.
“Momma hair.” Harrison began giggling along with his brother.
Putting JJ down, he quickly running off to get his car, Bucky picks up Harrison just before his foot hits Theo in the face. “You eating mommas hair again?”
“Hair!”
“I know mommas hair smells nice but we can’t eat it, little man.”
“Want sand!” And just like the two year olds mind was onto something else and wanted to be put back into the sandbox.
Putting Harrison down he went back to his toy truck, Bucky turned to face his love. “There’s my pretty girls.”
Yes they thought their family were complete after Harrison was born but it was finally whole after Theo gave birth to a healthy baby girl, just two months ago.
“See that Jessy? We’re the last ones who daddy greets.” Theo winked up at him with a grin on her lips.
“I had to greet the men of the house first, please forgive me pretty girls.” Jessy makes a gargled noise that they both take as a sign that he’s forgiven. “What about you pretty momma?”
“I forgive you Buck.”
He gets down on his knees and presses a kiss to her lips, a kiss to Jessy’s forehead and one to Harrison’s as he came climbing all over Bucky, JJ is quick to run over to his parents and siblings pointing to his own forehead wanting a kiss too.
Bucky use to think about marriage, he had dreamt about coming home after a long day at work to his wife cooking dinner or happily playing with the kids, slow dancing with her throughout the house whilst the children are tucked in bed. Sharing his dreams, fears, stories and life with his other half, a wife who he can spoil with gifts and love, but Bucky never thought it was possible for him but here he is seven years after meeting Theo, coming home to his perfect wife and amazing children, sharing his dreams, fears and life with the better half to him. Telling their children stories as they get ready to go to sleep, he could spoil his wife and children with whatever their hearts desired and more. He had more love in his whole body than he ever realised especially when it came to Theo and their precious babies.
As the sun began to set Bucky sat on the grass - the exact spot where he and Theo married - and held onto his greatest achievement.
His family.

Single Dad Simon Riley
A request for Single Dad Simon from @buzzyb33 I hope this is what you wanted, I kinda just went with what my monkey brain came up with.
SINGLE DAD SIMON
Single Dad Simon has twins. A boy who is docile, shy and hides behind Simon's legs around new people. His daughter is bold and boisterous. Sometimes he swears she almost bounces off of the walls. Their mother has been out of the picture since not long after they were born, she pays child support but has otherwise severed all parental support and interactions with the twins. The boy twin is named Theo and the girl is April. The names are the only two things their mother left them with.
Single Dad Simon used to hate her for abandoning their children but in time he accepted it as being the best. Forcing her to stay would likely have just hurt the kids more. Simon gave up his career in the military to take care of his kids and be a present father. He works as a plumber, a pretty good one at that. He makes enough money to provide for his kiddos and put money aside for emergencies and/or their futures. He wants to have enough money put away for them if they decide to go to university. Giving up his career was difficult but it had to be done, he was all they had and he wants to give them a childhood so much better than his own.
Single Dad Simon finds being a dad almost as stressful as being in the SAS and doing all that sort of thing. Raising the twins on his own through their infancy to toddlerhood was mentally and physically exhausting. There were nights when both of the twins were teething, would not go to sleep and just kept screaming where he felt like running away. But he never did of course, our Simon aint a quitter ESPECIALLY when it comes to his kids.
Single Dad Simon is still in contact with 141, they come to visit when on leave. Soap and Gaz like to spoil the twins. April LOVES uncle Soap. She calls him a "pretty princess". She also makes takes Gaz, Soap and Theo out into the garden where she likes to play construction work barbie, digging up the garden and making "roads" for her and her brothers cars. Theo, the sweet little boy really opens up around Price. Something about Price brings out his bolder side. He's always tackle hugging Price and asking lots of questions about the cool planes and other vehicles he's been in. Neither of the twins really believe that their father was big and tough like their uncles. Simon honestly prefers that they don't believe that he was a big bad military man, he tries to keep as much of his personal military career from them.
Single Dad Simon who frets when the twins first go to primary school and after school care. He doesn't like being away from them for such long periods of time, deep down he knows that they will be just fine and they will be safe but the other part of him frets terribly. What if they get bullied? What if they hurt themselves? What if they get mean teachers? After the first year he calms down considerably with his worries but there is a side of him that will never relax and be wary for danger.
Single Dad Simon who finds himself getting lonely as the kids settle into school life and his business does well. He finds himself wishing for romantic companionship and a feminine influence for his children. He worries that only having military men for family will stunt their mental growth. He promises himself to open himself up to the possibility of meeting someone new.
When Single Dad Simon does find someone he clicks with, he doesn't hide that he has kids and is a single parent. But he makes clear that it will take an extended period of time before he introduces them to her. He needs to be sure that he can trust her around them. If she already knows them through some outside of school place, like the bakery they always go to on Sunday or the Librarian at the library where the after school program is held, he will be less wary of having her in their private lives but will still TAKE HIS TIME.
Single Dad Simon is a good dad. He struggles with the stress and isolation sometimes but he has 141 as his brothers and maybe one day soon he might have a lady in his life who will welcome his kids and him with open arms into her own life.

Nothing To Chance
Pairing: Jordan Parrish x Reader
Word Count: 2.6k
Warnings: none really just Teen Wolf nonsense lol
Genre: fluff
Summary: Who knew visiting your cousin in Beacon Hills would open you up to a whole world of supernatural chaos
***
"You know, I'm surprised this old bucket of bolts still works. When your dad told me you drove it to school every morning I almost couldn't believe him- but here it is." You hum. Stiles stops in his tracks, and for a moment Scott does too.
"Y/n?!" Stiles gapes at you.
"Yeah, you gonna just stand there catching flies in your mouth or give your cousin a hug?" You ask. Before Stiles can get to you though, Scott takes off into a full run towards you, lifting you into his arms and spinning in two full circles before putting you down again.
"What the hell just happened? Who are you?" You narrow your eyes at Scott suspiciously.
"Come on- it's me Scott." He chuckles.
"You're saying that and you have his face but the Scott McCall I know wouldn't have been able to pick me up like I weigh nothing and spin me around so what'd you do with him?" You place your hands on your hips. Stiles finally runs at you, nearly tackling you with the force of his hug.
"Dude you have no idea what kind of things we've seen. You're literally not going to believe me when I start telling you all the stuff that's happened in the last couple years, it's nuts." Stiles tells you.
"What'd you do? Start going to parties?" You ask.
"No. Well actually, we have been to a couple but no. Parties are the least of our worries man we're fighting evil, Scott's a werewolf-" Your hand comes up to stop Stiles from continuing his rant.
"What!?" You blink at him.
"Scott's a werewolf. That's why he could pick you up so easily." Stiles says entirely too casually for your liking.
"I would've settled for he's been in the gym lately. Werewolf?! That's what we're going with?"
"I told you you wouldn't believe the stuff we've seen." Stiles shrugs.
"I need some explanations." You frown.
"It all started when Stiles did what Stiles does best." Scott says.
"Stick his nose in something he has no business getting involved in?" You ask.
"Correct." Scott nods.
"Hey it was very important." Stiles protests.
"For the cops maybe!" Scott scoffs.
"The cops? What the hell did you two get into?" You blink at them.
"Well we were in the woods investigating... something and my dad caught me." Stiles says.
"But not Scott?"
"I took off. But trying to avoid Stilinski got me in a bit of a- situation. Something bit me." Scott says.
"Something?" You frown.
"Technically someone. Peter Hale." Scott says.
"Peter Hale?! I thought the Hales died in a fire." You frown.
"All but 2. Derek and Peter." Stiles says.
"Derek Hale is still alive?" You gasp.
"Yes, he disappeared after the fire but he came back a couple of years ago." He nods.
"And his uncle turned me into a werewolf. It started with small changes, better hearing, I didn't need my inhaler, I could- do flips and run fast and my reflexes were suddenly so much better. Derek tried to help, kind of. Peter wanted to use me for revenge. And now we're here." Scott shrugs.
"And now we're here." You hum. "I can't believe the Hales are werewolves. So what's this about evil you've been fighting?" You ask.
"The list is long and getting longer. Actually, you know what maybe you can weigh in on something for us." Stiles says.
"Stiles-" Scott warns.
"Sure, what is it?" You ask.
"There's a new guy in town, Theo Raeken." Stiles says.
"Theo Raeken- that name sounds so familiar." You frown.
"He lived here when we were younger, and we were all friends but after his sister died he and his parents moved outta town. So he's new but not new. You've met him for sure on one of your visits. So technically he's not new he just moved back." Scott tells you.
"Okay and is that a good thing or a bad thing?" You ask.
"Good." Scott says at the same time Stiles says,
"Bad."
"Don't start Stiles." Scott rolls his eyes.
"No no you think I'm a paranoid skeptic right? Well, Y/n has no preconceived notions here, she doesn't even remember him so she can be our neutral third party." Stiles says.
"I can see you two are on the same page about this that's great. Alright, Stiles what's your problem with this kid?" You ask.
"Some necessary background first, Scott's an alpha."
"Okay- I've read enough books to know what that means. That's like a pack leader. Yes?" You ask.
"Yes. Usually, you have to kill someone to become an alpha." Stiles nods.
"Scott did you-?"
"No!" Scott says.
"Scott's very anti-killing anyone ever. Even if they deserve it." Stiles shrugs.
"Stiles!"
"What?! I support your endeavors."
"So how did Scott become an alpha?" You ask.
"Apparently some people can become alphas by sheer force of will and that's what Scott did. He needed to protect the people so he made it happen. It means he's what they call a True Alpha." Stiles says.
"Okay?" You nod.
"See Theo says he came back because word's getting around that Scott's an alpha and he justhad to come back to become part of Scott's pack but there's something about him that doesn't sit right with me. He doesn't seem like the same person we knew." Stiles says.
"Okay, so Theo's a werewolf?" You clarify.
"Yes." He nods.
"Okay great and I know we've established Scott was bitten right? Was Theo? Or are his parents also werewolves? Is that even possible? Can lycanthropy be genetic?"
"It is possible for it to be genetic, yes, the Hales are genetic werewolves, but Theo was bitten, so his parents are not werewolves to our knowledge." Scott says.
"And Theo's your age?"
"Correct." Stiles nods.
"So there's one detail I'm struggling with here." You say.
"What is it?" Scott asks.
"How did Theo get his parents to move him back to Beacon Hills?"
"What-" Stiles frowns.
"Theo's a kid. Parents only move for like 3 reasons, work, the wellbeing of their child, or extenuating family circumstances. I doubt he went up to his parents and said 'hey mom, hey dad, I'm a werewolf and there's a new alpha in our old home town so we have to move back there because I have to be where he is' so why did his parents move back to Beacon Hills? Because the story you're telling me makes it seem like it was his decision and that's not how that would work unless he's emancipated and came here alone." You say.
"Do I tell you have much I love you?" Stiles asks.
"Not since you were 12." You scoff.
"I will say it more often."
"You do not have to." You shake your head.
"Oh I do. Because you are a genius. Do you see what I mean Scott?! She's right, that's weird."
"I mean, maybe, but we don't know the circumstances. It might not be as suspicious as it sounds." Scott says.
"But it's weird! It sounds suspicious! He's weird!" Stiles says.
"Okay wait has he done anything worth being- hostile towards him?" You ask.
"Well I think-"
"No, Stiles it's a yes or no question has he done anything?" You ask.
"Not yet." He frowns.
"Well unfortunately a few discrepancies aren't enough to label him a supervillain, but someone should get to the bottom of the moving situation because those are some gaping holes."
"See?" Stiles huffs at Scott.
"If he's a bad guy he will eventually show his hand, just be ready for if it happens. And Scott, I know Stiles is- eccentric but you two have been friends for a long time. He's strange but his intuition is hardly ever wrong about these things so don't dismiss." You say.
"Thank you. I think?" Stiles says.
"Look we have bigger issues than Theo right now anyway." Scott sighs.
"What does that mean?" You frown.
"Chimeras." He tells you.
"I think I need a bit more information. Because I know what the word means, but to my knowledge chimeras are cats or dogs that have a mixed phenotype. Like a cat with the fur of a calico and an orange tabby." You say.
"Same concept- kind of. Someone's been making supernatural hybrids. Mixing the DNA of different ones and turning teenagers into mutants." Scott explains.
"Turning teenagers into mutants?" You blink.
"Yeah- we're not sure why but we know that's what they're doing." Stiles nods.
"And this is just the kind of shit that just goes on in this town?" You frown.
"Sometimes." Stiles shrugs.
"More often than not." Scott adds.
"Why did Beacon Hills get interesting after I stopped visiting every year?" You scoff. Your mom and stepdad used to insist on spending as much time with family as possible, especially after your stepdad's sister, Stiles' mom, died, so summers were spent here in Beacon Hills and winters were spent with your mom's family usually but it got harder to keep up with when you got to high school and started other things so you haven't been back here for a while.
"Well, you're back now! And right in the middle of some chaos." Stiles says.
"Are you staying with Stiles and Sheriff Stilinski while you're here?" Scott asks.
"I always do." You shrug.
You spend the afternoon with Scott and Stiles, learning so much about the way they navigate the discord that seems to now be stereotypical for Beacon Hills. The next couple of weeks are honestly wilder than you could've expected, even with Stiles and Scott's occasional storytimes about the last few years.
"Okay, so we have to go to Eichen. You wanna come with?" Stiles asks and you wish this wasn't a phone call so he could see just how confused you are.
"Eichen as in the psychiatric hospital with questionable at best practices?" You ask.
"Yeaaahhh we'd avoid it if we could but- some shit's going down and honestly we could use your help."
"What do you mean by 'some shit's going down'? I mean- sure I'll help but I need more details."
"Lydia's trapped at Eichen house and we need to rescue her."
"I'm guessing you have a plan?" You ask.
"We- do. Get ready I'll be at the house in like 5 minutes."
"Okay?" You frown. Stiles hangs up before you can ask another question so you throw on a jacket and your sneakers just before Stiles honks outside. The explanation of their plan is very much insane and as you walk through the halls of Eichen with Stiles and the infamous Theo, who he can't stand, all you can think about is how absolutely unbelievable this all is. Even when Theo kicks down a huge ass door and Stiles rushes towards Lydia. You watch him fuss over her as they have a hushed conversation that you pointedly try not to eavesdrop on. Until of course, because nothing normal happens in this town, a shirtless man covered in soot? Or ash? Or dirt? It's hard to tell in these tunnels, but he rounds the corner with glowing orange eyes and beelines it to Lydia and Stiles.
"Stiles!" You shout but the dust-covered man shoves him away too quickly and wraps himself around Lydia, erupting into flames as she screams into his chest. "Woah- why is that man on fire!?" You stumble back as the man picks Lydia up and carries her out of the room.
"Don't worry, he's on our side." Stiles says as he dusts himself off and follows the man.
"That's great to know but that doesn't explain why he's emitting flames."
"He's a hellhound."
"I hate that you said that like that's normal. A hellhound?!"
"You know- at a later date, I'll just give you an appendix of every single creature we know of- allies and enemies because I realize waiting for things to come up organically makes for a lot of this." Stiles says.
"I can't believe y'all just know people that can spontaneously combust and that's all cool and chill." You say.
"It's actually quite the opposite of cool and chill." Theo snorts.
"Oh shut up." You roll your eyes.
The next few days are spent memorizing Stiles' appendix while trying to catch up on everything going on and help stop the most current evil which- you'll admit would be way easier if you weren't so far behind on the information but currently, the goal is read up on these awful things called dread doctors.
Today you've decided to do one totally normal easy thing. You'll take your uncle, the sheriff, lunch at his job. When you arrive at the sheriff's station you head straight to your uncle's office.
"Y/n? What are you doing here?" He frowns when you knock on the doorframe as you walk in.
"I brought you lunch. I wanted something normal to do." You say sitting down across from him as you set the lunchbox on his desk.
"Ah, adjusting well to the chaos of Beacon Hills?" He chuckles.
"You know I just don't get how you don't completely lose your mind knowing what Stiles gets up to. I know my mom would flip if she found out and I'm 21." You shake your head.
"Oh trust me I do but unfortunately Stiles and his friends have stopped a lot of devastation in this town- it would be foolish to pretend otherwise." He shrugs.
"Hey Sheriff, quick question about the- oh sorry, am I interrupting?" You turn your head at the sound of someone speaking behind you. It takes a moment to click but you gasp when you recognize who it is.
"You're the hellhound." You say.
"Excuse me?" The man blinks at you.
"We met at Eichen. Well that's not correct we didn't meet but I saw you at Eichen. You saved Lydia's life. You look very different dressed and not covered in soot, hellhound." You say.
"Jordan." He says, though your words seem to have caught him by surprise, his cheeks are starting to redden.
"Huh?"
"You called me hellhound. Which is- fine technically but my name is Jordan. Jordan Parrish."
"Oh. Well then it's nice to actually meet you, Jordan Parrish." You say smiling at him.
"Wait what were you doing at Eichen?"
"I'm Stiles's older cousin. I'm staying with the Stilinski's for a while and I guess that means being in the middle of all things Beacon Hills chaos." You shrug.
"In that case, I hope to see more of you."
"Ditto." You smile.
"Parrish. What did you need?" Your uncle goes full sheriff mode on his deputy.
"Uh- it can wait. You should- enjoy your lunch?" Jordan frowns in confusion at the lunchbox on the table.
"Get back to work deputy." John rolls his eyes. Jordan walks backwards out of the room, crashing into something on his way and making you giggle. "You stay away from my deputies y/n." Your uncle warns.
"Oh, but that one's so cute. Come on uncle John." You pout.
"No no no no no, even if he wasn't my employee you cannot date a hellhound you and I both know your mom would kill us all if I let you."
"Mom doesn't have to know he's a hellhound."
"Are you suggesting I lie to your mother?"
"Nooo I'm suggesting you turn a blind eye if I lie to her. Plus I'm an adult there's no guarantee she'll even meet him. What if it doesn't get that far?"
"You've already set your sights haven't you." He sighs.
"I mean kind of yeah. He's so cute! And you should've seen him rescue Lydia, uncle John it was- so cool!"
"Just- be careful. Jordan's a good employee and seems like a decent man but you never know."
You spend another half hour with your uncle before deciding you've disrupted enough of his day. On your way out you spot Jordan has his desk and make a detour.
"Hi deputy." You say leaning against the desk. Jordan glances up at you with wide eyes. After a moment he clears his throat and turns back to his computer seemingly to hide the pink creeping across his cheeks.
"Hi. You on your way out?" He asks.
"Yes, but before I go I just want to do one thing." You say grabbing a pen and sticky note from atop his desk. You quickly scribble your phone number on it and place it in front of him. "You want to see more of me. Make it happen. I don't like leaving things to chance." You say and before he can even respond you leave. Let's see if he takes the hint.

what love can do // the sallow twins
Summary: an excerpt from chapter 31 of When We're Older; Anne and Sebastian Sallow finally come to an understanding.
A/N: I've had this scene in my head for an entire year, and I couldn't resist the urge to post this scene between Anne and Sebastian on its own. Required listening included :)
October 1898
Sebastian set the hammer down on the stone ledge, stepping back to examine his work. He turned his head over his shoulder to look at Anne, Ominis, and Theo, who were all a few paces away from him, sitting in the grass. It was late October now, and the highlands were holding on to the last bit of warmth before autumn truly came to an end. Theo thought to celebrate their last hours in the Feldcroft house with a few bottles of wine and Sirona’s finest offerings, scattered across the picnic blanket.
”What do you think?” He yelled back to them.
“It’s a bit crooked.” Ominis retorted, stretching out his legs.
”You’re blind,” Sebastian scowled.
Ominis and Anne burst into laughter. Anne’s head fell against Ominis’s shoulder, and Sebastian didn’t miss the way his best friend snuck a kiss against his sister’s temple. Theo rolled her eyes, feigning a gag as she winked at Sebastian.
A family, Sebastian thought. A merry, fucked up brigade, just as Theo had promised. Him, Ominis, Theo, and Anne, just as he’d always envisioned.
Anne grunted as she stood, wiping the grass off her skirt as she walked forward. She pushed on the wooden For Sale sign that Sebastian had just worked so tirelessly to put up, nodding approvingly when the post didn’t budge.
”Do you really believe Bernie when he says the house will sell by next weekend?” She asked.
Sebastian shrugged. “I was a bit skeptical, but you never know. With the goblin camps and Ashwinders gone, I’m sure more people are eager to move back into the highlands. He said he already had several inquiries from the ad he put in the Prophet.”
Anne backed away, appraising the cottage. “It seems smaller, doesn’t it?”
Compared to the first time we saw it?” Sebastian teased, knocking his shoulder into hers. “I think we’re just bigger now, Anne.” His mind was immediately transported back to the day they’d arrived in Feldcroft, just a little suitcase to share between the two of them. Feldcroft had once been the setting for family vacations, beach days, trips to visit their grouchy uncle in the highlands. Suddenly, the stone cottage with the thatched roof that was once the setting of daydreams had become their home. There were barely even two rooms, certainly not enough room for three to grieve.
Perhaps that is where they went wrong, Sebastian thought. It made no matter now.
“You know what I mean,” Anne huffed, crossing her arms. She gave him an indignant look, one she might have shared with him when playing a round of gobstones when they were younger. It was a glance commonly shared between them, before any strife had taken over their relationship. She looked both old and new at the same time—his Annie, the one he’d so longed for, was back. She still had her bad days, when the color would drain from her face and she’d spend the better half of an afternoon lying down with a poultice and wiggenweld, but the ratio of good days seemed to surpass the bad. She was steadier on her feet than she’d ever been, cheeks pink and vibrant. Sebastian no longer worried that any terse word or jerk of an arm would trigger her curse and steal the air from her lungs.
“I know,” Sebastian murmured, throwing an arm around her. “Fancy a walk down by the beach?”
The twins sat on a flannel blanket, watching as Ominis and Theo walked along the water’s edge. Theo laughed at something Ominis said, throwing her head back as the blond grinned. The waves along the beach crashed against their ankles; Ominis gripped Theo’s arm tighter, hissing from the cold waves. Her dark waves whipped around her face, lips stained red from the half-empty bottle of wine in her hand.
“Weird to say goodbye to Feldcroft, isn’t it?” Anne asked.
Sebastian shook his head. “Not really. It stopped feeling like home a long time ago.” he echoed, watching his fiancee dance ahead of Ominis. "Do you think you'll come back?"
Anne shook her head. "I'd rather not."
Anne was silent for a moment, chewing on her lip as she mulled over her thoughts. “We should leave him here, shouldn’t we?” she asked. “I thought about having him moved to the cemetery in Hogsmeade since we were selling the house, but I don’t think he’d want that.”
Sebastian sighed, resting his elbows on his knees. “I think so.” His heart thumped against his chest as he turned his head to his sister. “Solomon would want to stay.”
Anne pursed her lips, pulling her knees up to her chest. “Best not to dredge it all back up, isn’t it?”
Sebastian nodded his head, wrinkling his nose as he looked back out to the water. “We’ve gone too long without loving each other,” he said slowly. “For all our faults, I don’t think he would’ve wanted that for us anymore.”
Anne sighed. Her chestnut waves blew in the wind, fanning around her face. “I wanted to talk to you,” she mumbled. “About Cairo.”
“I know,” Sebastian knocked his shoulder into hers. “I wanted to talk about it with you too.”
Anne turned to him, resting her cheek atop her knees. “I know you said no, and that you want to come home to London to be with Theo, but I really do think you should consider–”
“Anne,” Sebastian interjected.
“Don’t interrupt me,” she snapped. “You always do–”
“Annie,” Sebastian rolled his eyes. “Would you listen to me?”
“Will you let me finish?” Anne scoffed. “I’m trying to tell you that you should go,” she urged. “I think this opportunity is too good to pass up–”
“I said yes,” Sebastian nearly hollered. “I told them I’d take it. The position.”
Anne blinked at her brother, mouth agape. “You did?”
“I did,” Sebastian murmured. “Theo and I talked about it, and we made the decision together. I wrote to Rothwell right away to formally accept the position. We’re meeting this week to discuss compensation.”
“Oh, Sebastian.” Anne lurched towards him, wrapping her arms around his neck. “I’m so proud of you.”
Sebastian tightened his grip around her, burying his face into her shoulder. “Thank you,” he whispered.
Anne pulled away, patting his cheek. “Well, I’ll save my lecture for another day.” she gave him a toothy smile. “Thank Merlin.”
“Yes, save the lecture.” Sebastian chuckled, running a hand through his hair. “I’m sure you’ll have plenty of reasons to chastise me in the future.”
Anne stretched out, laying out on the blanket. She propped herself up on her elbows, watching Ominis and Theo pick shells. He could still sense the tension in the air, the words that were going unsaid between them.
“And what of Theo?” Anne asked. “What will she do?”
Sebastian bit the inside of his cheek. “Yes, well, that’s the larger part of the conversation.”
“Do tell,” Anne urged him.
Theo had turned to the twins, a hand hovering over her brow to see them over the sunlight. Sebastian waved, which seemed to satisfy her curiosity. She went back to picking sea glass, dropping her findings into Ominis’s palm.
“Theo is thinking about coming with me,” Sebastian confessed. “We wanted to talk about it with you and Ominis today, and then she’ll talk to her father.”
“It makes sense that she’d go with you.” Anne shrugged. “She’ll be your wife soon. And to be quite frank, I’m not sure what exactly Unspeakables do–but Theo’s always seemed one foot out the door on that job.”
“Annie,” Sebastian warned. “You know what it means if she comes with me.”
“I know,” Anne narrowed her eyes at him. “You act as if we didn’t know she’d go with you.”
“She wasn’t sure–”
“Sebastian,” Anne scoffed. “She loves you, and she understands the magnitude of the promotion. I knew she’d come to her senses and support you when the time came.”
The waves crashed against the sand, the sound doing little to appease the knot growing in Sebastian’s stomach.
“You know if she comes with me, she won’t be able to heal you anymore.” Sebastian warned.
“I know.” Anne said. She was looking at Ominis, a tender expression on her face. “You know what I asked Theo the first time I met her, when you brought her to the hamlet?”
“What?” Sebastian asked hesitantly.
“I asked her to help you understand.” Anne said quietly, turning to look up at him with her wide brown eyes. “That you could not take away my pain. And that I’d made my peace with it.”
Sebastian stared down at the sand.
“Sebastian,” Anne whispered. “I want you to go. I’ll be fine.”
“How are you so sure?” He asked fiercely, turning his head up to glare at her. “How can you be so sure that you’ll be okay?”
”I can’t,” Anne gave him a wistful look. “But I’ve spent too much of my life being afraid of feeling. Afraid that the next breath would hurt, afraid of being left behind. I don’t want to be afraid anymore.”
The twins were silent, only the distant sound of Theo and Ominis’s laughter filling the void.
”Sebastian, I’ve had years to think about it. I'm tired of sitting here, living a half-life. I want to travel the world, live on my own, and be with someone I love. I want feel everything, and not be afraid. And most of all, I don’t want to be afraid of leaving you behind.” Anne cleared her throat.
“Annie,” Sebastian blinked rapidly, trying to clear the tears from his eyes.
“Theo has already given me so many more years than I’d ever dreamt of having,” Anne admitted, grabbing his hand. “And I want to spend what little time I have left with him.”
“You really love him then?” Sebastian asked.
“Yeah,” Anne blushed, her cheeks tinged pink. “I think I always have. It feels silly now, but I was always so worried. At first, I thought I shouldn’t even bother to tell him my feelings–it would hurt less for all of us, you know? But I couldn’t bear it anymore. I couldn’t not tell him how I felt.”
Sebastian looked back out to Theo and Ominis, who were still standing at the water’s edge. Ominis had just attempted to skip a rock, scowling as Theo doubled over with laughter.
“It is best to get it out there,” he wrinkled his nose. “Do you two have a plan?”
Anne shrugged. “We talked about going to America. Ominis was talking to his superiors about a possible transfer to MACUSA, to work in the department of magical affairs there. He’s been digging into his family history, and thinks he might possibly have some cousins living in Massachusetts. We might seek them out.”
Sebastian rubbed his jaw. “New York is far away.”
“So is Cairo,” Anne pointed out. “You once told me I needed to work on being more spontaneous. So, here I am.”
“Crossing the Atlantic with Ominis Gaunt,” Sebastian snorted. “Couldn’t get more spontaneous than that.”
“I see you’ve told Sebastian.”
Sebastian squinted as he looked up; Ominis was walking towards them, drying his hands on his pants. “Yeah. When were you planning on telling me that you wanted to whisk my dear sister across the Atlantic?”
Ominis flushed, crossing his arms as Theo jogged up to them.
“I wanted her to tell you first,” Ominis confessed. “Felt like that was more appropriate.”
“Did you know?” Sebastian asked, turning to Theo.
She shook her head, but there was a knowing smile on her lips. “No, but I put two and two together.”
Sebastian sighed, turning to Anne. “There’s no keeping secrets in this family, is there?”
Anne ignored him, gratefully taking Ominis’s outstretched hand. He helped her to her feet, a steady arm wrapping around her waist to pull her close. Anne melted into his touch, resting her head against his shoulder as they walked back up the hill to the hamlet.
“I suppose I’m chopped liver then,” Sebastian scoffed.
Theo laughed, holding her hand out for him. Sebastian stood, and they folded the blanket together, fighting the wind. Sebastian threw it over his shoulder, while Theo slid her hand up his back, scratching his vest.
“New York,” Sebastian murmured. “Do you think she’ll be okay? The trip will be long, and I worry about her being so far away. Cairo to London is one thing, but New York–”
“You’ve seen her lately,” Theo pointed out. “It almost seems different now, ever since the two of them got together.”
Sebastian raised his eyebrow. “You can’t possibly be suggesting that the cure for Anne’s curse is a snog with Ominis.”
Theo rolled her eyes, pinching his hip. Sebastian yelped, wrinkling his nose as she laughed.
“No,” she ruminated over the thought, chewing on her lower lip. “But you’d be surprised at what love can do.”

Yo Eve, my darling, give me a moon for the fall themed asks. Share all your secrets with me. <3
Hello Winter my queen <3 I would be glad to answer this!
🌙 moon: do any of your OCs have dark backstories or secrets they’re trying to keep?
This is going to be for Theodora as she is by far my most fleshed out oc.
Oh boy, so to start, Theo's parents were a pirate, her father Ricardo Viticius and a noblewoman Kassandra Ves. Her mom ended up running away with her dad when they fell in love, getting disowned from her family and breaking off her semi-arranged marriage. Her father had spent his life before meeting her as thief and eventually becoming a pirate, particularly raided slavers ships along the Coast of Morrowind and Black Marsh.
Theo was born off the coast of Senchal in 4E 177 26 Last Seed. Around two years later her mom goes overboard during a storm in Abeacan Sea. Theo does not remember anything about her and she finds even talking about her uncomfortable. Other women who try to be mother-figures to her cause her to lash out at them.
Ricardo never fully recovers but he is determined to be a parent as he never knew his own father. He decides to move permanently back to Anvil, the city he grew up in. Since the war destroyed the city, the East Empire Company has invested and made the city sort of a company town. Ricardo sees how their greed harms the city and how only the higher level officials have any measure of a good life; this causes him to focus his criminal enterprise against them. So Theo grows up with the backdrop of crime war. A lot of her youth was spent learning to fight and prepping to take over her father's work. Although some would say this was no life for a child, she thinks very highly of her dad. He kept her away from the very dangerous stuff, but he respected her and taught her many things about all of Tamriel due to his extensive travels.
Things come to ahead when mercenaries hired by the company head succeed in killing him, her uncle Elo Man-llu (uncle Elo is highkey my fav, iconic dunmer), and many of the crew. Theo is around 14 when this happens and she chooses to live with her friend Phy in Valenwood as they are very close and she's visited her often. They stay there until 18 when they leave for the Imperial City to try to make money and get revenge on the man who killed her family. Due to her father's criminal past (as well as him being a Great War draft dodger :P), her inheritance is seized by the Empire. She joins the Thieves Guild and becomes an Arena fighter in an attempt to gain fortune. Eventually she joins the Legion in Skyrim due to a bargain. The Empire gets the Dragonborn's service in exchange for clearing her father's name and her inheritance.
From ages 16-27, she heavily copes using alcohol, sex, fighting, and occasionally drugs (though that's more of Phy's thing). Most of it is coping with losing her father and uncle, the two people she looked up to the most, but there is also a lot of coping with the fact she's never had a mother and much of her childhood was surrounded by violence and tension. It's sort of a numbing the pain problem. She also has a tendency towards men who are terrible which include, but aren't limited to; a skooma smuggler, a Morag Tong assassin, and a married local official who funds her arena career! This gets a bit better once she starts doing Dragonborn duties mostly because she has less time to self-destruct. Originally she ran from it, only after the events of Dawnguard does she accept it and allow it to give her purpose. Though the newfound fame and expectations become difficult.
And the biggets secret she is trying to keep is orginally that she's sleeping with a Thalmor agent, and then that she's in love with said agent :P
Sorry for writing you a novel! Thank you so much for asking this question! There's a lot of thought put into her that I don't get to explore in fic because the Ondolemar brainworms haha. I just like them so much together you know :P

The story of their future begins."
Synopsis of the story

Just as they were wishing they could escape from the monotonous gray days, they were caught up in a massive tornado and whisked away to the Land of Oz.
In order to return to Kansas, the two decide to visit the Wizard of Oz, who rules over the Emerald City.
Along the way they meet Scarecrow, Tin Woodman, and Lion, and embark on a journey to make *Theo and Terry's wishes come true……
[Note: there is no mention in the Japanese text about it being only Theo and Terry's wishes, in fact, each character has a wish.]

The Good Wizard of the South, Quadling Country. He possesses mighty magical powers and watches over the group's journey.

[Repost] Do Not Disturb-Abby
Part of this set of WIP Wednesdays
Debated on a few ways this prompt could go, but I wanted to write a bit more in Abby and Vincent's family au I got going, so here's some more of that
Raw, unedited writing, pregnancy and children are featured here, fluffy family time.
-----
"Vincent? Boys? Uncle Theo is going to be here soon!" Abby called through the house, looking for her little family. They weren't outside, else they would have said something, so they should be inside somewhere.
She shuffled across the floor, waddling with the added weight of the baby in her belly.
Cora was scheduled to be born in another three or so weeks, but moving around much this late was challenging. Still, there was things to do and Theo was coming to visit, so she needed everyone ready in time.
She looked in the kitchen and the family room, but no sign of them. She could try trekking upstairs to find them, but, again, it would be difficult with Cora. She even seemed worried about her missing father and brothers, the way she was kicking. Abby rubbed her belly to calm her.
"We'll find them, don't worry. Maybe they're playing hide and seek? Will loves that game."
She peeked outside one more time, just to be sure. The early summer sun was hitting just right with the crickets chirping in the distance. It was a peaceful day, perfect for afternoon nap.
She then heard soft snores around the corner.
On the porch, sitting in the outdoor chairs were Vincent and their two boys, all napping in the sun with art supplies strung everywhere. Crayons, paint, water cups, and loose papers were all over the place with scribbles of every color imaginable. It was a regular sight in their household and Abby giggled softly.
"Like father, like sons, I suppose."
It seemed a crime to wake them as she couldn't bend down to pick up all of the mess by herself, but Theo was coming and she didn't want her home to be a complete wreck for visitors. But her hopes were dashed when she heard a familiar voice behind her.
"Here you all are-!"
Abby placed her hands over Theo's mouth, shushing him. Theo looked surprised.

Another of my dear friends has passed away, I am once again confronted with my mortality! Goodbye Tati, I will miss you!
I don't know what Theo has been up to but he's been limping around for the past few days. He spends way too much time in the sea and not enough time studying. I don't care if he's a genius, he needs to keep that A!
Olly's having a hard time of it, not only has he been feeling out of sorts about Kacey coming out of her grave, he's also battling his hormones and breakouts. Heidi's midwife still visits and isn't just good for taking care of the infants, she gives good advice too! Olly confides in her a lot, which I feel relieved about, he misses his mum and having a motherly presence around helps him immensely.
The reason for Theo's recent behaviour has been revealed! It's all down to this mysterious young slip of a girl! Her name is Lyla Day and she's very forward to say the least. He invited her over this evening and she brazenly walked around the house like she owned the place. She doesn't seem to have many social graces, I haven't heard of her family, who are her parents? This is all a little too fishy to me!
OLLY: Hey Lyla, I keep finding dead bodies in this room!
LYLA: You mean the island spirits?
OLLY: No, I mean my mum and my uncle!
THEO: Um, L-L-Lyla, don't...listen to him he's...he's crazy!
LYLA: It's okay Theo, I've seen dead bodies, I know how he feels and it's a weird feeling!
THEO: You did? You do? I thought I was going mad!
OLLY: I think I love you!
THEO: Huh?
LYLA: Aww you're so sweet!
Do I have some sibling rivalry on my hands here? Because I know that Theo is smitten with this girl, please don't tell me Olly is too now?
On a much happier note, my generation is complete! It's time to pass this legacy onto the chosen heir! Whoever they may be...

i can’t believe it’s over 😭😭😭 this last chapter was AMAZING. life on dragonstone? bran and rickon living with them? ghostie and lady?? gossiping staff?? BABIES????? THE SAVED DANCE CARDS???? AHHHHHHHHH
also hsgsfsshs is Theo named after Theon? for some reason that just really tickles my fancy xDD
another story that i will definitely come back to reread many times!!!! thank you so much for writing and sharing this work with us, your loyal gremlins 💕💕💕💕
Ok! My Theo/Theon headcanon that didn't quite make it into the chapter.
Theon has no interest in marriage or having the responsibility of a title, not because of any trauma like Jon, but because he wants to live out a hedonistic life traveling. He does, however, visit the Starks quite often and he becomes a doting uncle to both Sansa and Arya's children (Arya has one child, which also doesn't make it into the chapter). While Jon pretends he dislikes Theon, he can't help but remember that Theon was there at the Royal Ball, backing him up when Joffrey was running his mouth. So, for their third child, they name him Theo, since Theon will never have children of his own. Theon pretends he doesn't care but he absolutely does. Like he is an absolute mess when he hears.

We Have Always Lived in the Castle, by Shirley Jackson
We Have Always Lived in the Castle is 1962 mystery novel by author Shirley Jackson, who also famously wrote The Lottery (1948) and The Haunting of Hill House (1959). The story is about the Blackwoods, a very wealthy family who owns a large state. Since the death of their parents, Constance Blackwood has been taking care of her younger sister, Mary Katherine (better known as Merricat) and their wheelchair bound uncle, Julian. The three of them live in perfect recluse in their manor, but when cousin Charles comes to visit, he shakes up the family dynamic.
Despite their relationship not being explicitly incestuous in the novel, Constance and Merricat share a bond closer than most sisters do. If you have read Jackson's The Haunting of Hill House, you may remember Eleanor and Theo, who weren't explicitly in a romantic relationship, but were very lesbian coded. The same applies for the Blackwood sisters, in my opinion.
In 1966 the novel was made into a play by Hugh Wheeler, and this play was used as the basis for the 2010 musical by Adam Bock and Todd Almond. But, more famously, in 2018, there was a movie adaptation by Stacie Passon, starring Taissa Farmiga as Merricat, Alexandra Daddario as Constance, Sebastian Stan as Charles and Crispin Glover as Julian.
The book is narrated by eighteen-years-old Merricat Blackwood. Despite her age, her behaviour throughout the novel is very immature and childish, probably due to the trauma she suffered at twelve, when the rest of her family (save for her sister and uncle) died. She's also very superstitious and practices sympathetic magic.
Merricat lives with Constance and Julian in the large Blackwood property in near isolation. Her only contact with the outside world is going to the village to buy groceries and visit the library. The locals aren't very keen on the Blackwood family, eyeing them with suspicion since the deaths that occurred years prior and resenting the large amount of money the family has, despite not doing any hard work.
No, really, the people in town are really nasty towards the sisters, with the children even making a mean song about them, akin to how people made that skipping rope song about Lizzie Borden.
"Merricat, said Connie, would you like a cup of tea? Oh no, said Merricat, you’ll poison me. Merricat, said Connie, would you like to go to sleep? Down in the boneyard ten feet deep!"
You see, the reason for the rhyme is that six years before the events in the book, the sisters parents, their younger brother as well as Uncle Julian and his wife were poised wit arsenic that had been mixed into the sugar bowl. Julian was the only survivor and Constance wasn't poisoned because she didn't eat sugar with her blackberries, and Merricat hadn't been in the dinner that night. Due to her being the only person present who wasn't poisoned, she was arrested and charged with murder, but ended up being acquitted and released back, much to the distaste of the village.
Probably due to her fear that Constance will be taken away again, Merricat has developed many "magical" protections around the property to avoid strangers coming in (it must be noted that Constance herself doesn't leave the house since the trial finished, so the magic could be to keep Constance safe). It's clear, from the beginning, that Merricat loves her sister and has a strong devotion to her. The feeling is mutual as evidenced by Constance telling Merricat how much she missed her, even thought Merricat had only been to village for, at most, a couple hours.
"When I was small I thought Constance was a fairy princess. I used to try to draw her picture, with long golden hair and eyes as blue as the crayon could make them, and a bright pink spot on either cheek; the pictures always surprised me, because she did look like that; even at the worst time she was pink and white and golden, and nothing had ever seemed to dim the brightness of her. She was the most precious person in my world, always."
Julian, their widowed uncle, spend his time writing his memories of the day of the poisoning, obsessively looking at the details of what happened that day and on the day before and it is through his ramblings about the event that we, the readers, learn about what happened. For exemple, he is the one who exposes the fact that Constance was the one who did the cooking, and that she has knowledge of different poisons. Not only that, but she didn't use sugar on her blackberries (although it was a known fact that she never did) and washed the sugar bowl before the police could arrive to the scene - allegedly because there was a spider in it.
Merricat is perfectly happy with Constance staying at home the whole time, as in this way she has her sister basically all to herself. When Constance starts to express some desire to leave the house, Merricat becomes upset and reacts by violently breaking their mother's fancy milk pitcher. Although she doesn't verbally express her displeasure or lashes out in front of Constance, Merricat often breaks things around the house, leaving a path of destruction on the wake of her anger.
"'We’ll always be here together, won’t we, Constance?' 'Don’t you ever want to leave here, Merricat?' 'Where could we go?' I asked her. 'What place would be better for us than this? Who wants us, outside? The world is full of terrible people.' 'I wonder sometimes.' She was very serious for a minute, and then she turned and smiled at me. 'Don’t you worry, my Merricat. Nothing bad will happen.'"
Before Constance can decide if she's ready to explore the outside world, the outside world comes knocking in the form of Cousin Charles, son of her father's other brother. Merricat dislikes him at first sight and even tries to pretend she had only dreamed about his visit and could "dream him away", but Constance seems glad to have the attention of a good looking young man, even if he is her cousin.
Charles claims he wanted to help his cousins after the tragedy that had struck, but hadn't been able because his father wouldn't allow it, but now that his father was dead, he wanted to reunite with the remaining family. Merricat is jealous of how easily Costance (whom Charles calls 'Connie') warms up to the newcomer.
"She was not at all awkward or uncomfortable; it was as though she had been expecting all her life that Cousin Charles would come, as though she had planned exactly what to do and say, almost as though in the house of her life there had always been a room kept for Cousin Charles."
To keep Charles away, Merricat nails a gold watch into a tree, and when Charles sees it, he gets angry because it was a waste of gold. His obsession with money leads Julian to start to think that Charles is only there to try to steal the family fortune.
Charles is no innocent either. When he realises that he won't win Merricat's affection, he quickly start being passive aggressive with her, even insinuating that he might convince Constance to throw her out. And at the same time he tells Connie she should not be waiting on Julian, Charles also has her cook and clean for himself.
Merricat tries her best to shield herself and her sister, but all she can actually do is small actions, like breaking Charles' watch and pouring water in his bed. Charles gets furious with Merricat's childish antics and while Constance doesn't condenes her sister, she doesn't defends her either, simply calling Merricat "silly".
"'You are evil,' I said to Charles. 'You are a ghost and a demon.' 'What the hell?' Charles said. 'Don’t pay any attention,' Constance told him. 'Don’t listen to Merricat’s nonsense.'"
During a large argument between Charles, Merricat and Julian, Charles tell them that Merricat needs to be punished, which makes her run away in fear. Upset and even more angry than before, Merricat waits until dinner time and goes to Charles room, and she finds his pipe, which was still burning. She then throws in into a pile of papers which causes a fire to start. They are in the table when Charles smells smoke.
Constance and Merricat run for safety, but Julian stays behind to gather his papers (the many manuscripts he wrote of his memories from the day of the poisoning). The firefighters come, but they eye the sisters with suspicion, causing them to run and hide in the woods surrounding the property. While all this is going on, Charles is worried about the money in the safe.
"Pulling Constance, I hurried under the trees, in the darkness; when I felt my feet leave the grass of the lawn and touch the soft mossy ground of the path through the woods and knew that the trees had closed in around us I stopped and put my arms around Constance. 'It’s all over,' I told her, and held her tight."
While hiding in the forest, Merricat says that she'll poison everyone and Constance acknowledges that Merricat had done that once before, six years before, by putting arsenic in the sugar as payback for having been sent to the bedroom without dinner.
"'I put it in the sugar.' 'I know. I knew then.' 'You never used sugar.' 'No.' 'So I put it in the sugar.'"
Morning comes and the sisters come out of their hiding spot to see the damage that happened to the house. Most of it is gone, but they decide to clean the few rooms that didn't get crushed or burned and keep living there. Due to the lack of a roof, the house now looks like a castle (hence the title) and with time, vines grow to cover the remaining structure. Charles, who had survived the fire, tries to talk to Constance again, but she rejects him.
The Blackwood sisters become a short of local legend and villagers leave offerings of food in their doorsteps. They go on with living happily in the house, having only each other's company, because they don't need anything else.
"'I love you, Constance,' I said. 'And I love you, my Merricat.'"
Like a said before, they are not canonically incestuous, but it isn't difficult to see why they are so shippable. They protect each other at all costs and can barely function when separated. Since the book ends with them going into isolation, who knows what feelings might come to light?

Gale and Laila's Kids Headcanons
There's a lot again and trigger warning for birth
Have three girls (seven, four, and one)
Theodosia Fay or Dosia, the oldest of the bunch, has blonde hair and peach skin like Laila, and brown eyes like Gale. She is very intelligent and works easily with the Weave. She holds her father’s knack for magic and books. She is like her mother though with her kindness and animal loving.
Her birthday is Kythorn (June) 20th. It’s the summer solstice. She was five days late and was born naturally at the healer’s maternity ward. She’s born at 5:20 am. She’s 6.1 lbs, and 20.1 inches long at birth.
Dosia is the kid that finds animals in the forest and befriends them. There are now squirrels and owlbears that sit by the door waiting for Dosia to put out their food. Gale and Laila find it endearing, and the animals love them.
Dosia’s favorite activity is reading with her dad in his study after work. When Laila goes to the market, she’ll always find them a new book to read. The last book she found was about an orphaned owlbear who was taken in by bears and learned to adapt. It’s Theo's favorite book.
Her favorite item is her teddy bear that was given to her by her grandfather Hale, Laila’s dad. He kept it for her mother because it was the last item he had from her before she was abandoned.
Gwendolyn Irene or Gwen, the middle child, has ginger hair like her grandfather Hale and brown eyes like Gale. She has extremely peach skin and freckles like Laila. She’s a lot like her mama with her knack for the outdoors and adventuring. However, she is so smart. She easily excels in classes and reading like Gale.
Her birthday is Nightal (December) 1st. She was supposed to be born at the whaler’s ward like her sister but is instead born at home due to a blizzard. Luckily, Morena comes over and helps coach them through it. She was born one day overdue and she’s born at 10:39pm. She’s 5.11 lbs and 19.9 inches long.
Gwen loves cooking with her dad. Her favorite is the pumpkin stew he makes in the autumn around Feast of the Moon. They go to market together, get all the supplies and spend all day marinating the meat and softening the pumpkins. It’s her favorite food.
She loves owlbears and when she sees them she just squeals.
Her favorite activity with her mother is gardening. They have a large garden behind the house they own and every year they plant an extraordinary garden with fruits, veggies, and herbs.
Her favorite item is her blankie that has her name embroidered in it. It’s an item Astarion made for her for her birth. It’s purple and has black embellishments on it with small gold accents, like the colors from Gale and Laila’s wedding. In gold writing it states “Gwendolyn Irene Dekarios.”
The last baby is Josephine Maeve or Josie. She has brunette hair and tanner skin like Gale, but freckles and heterochromia with a blue eye and brown eye like Laila. Like Laila, she has a heart of gold and can make friends with anyone. Like Gale, she is so good at spellcasting and magic.
She was born on Alturiak (February) 13th. She is two weeks early. When Laila goes into labor, she panics. It’s too early and Gale doesn’t help freaking out. Morena comes over to watch the girls as they rush to the healer's ward. As soon as they get there, Laila discusses how dizzy she feels and immediately they notice the blood surrounding her feet. They rush her back into surgery to save her and hopefully the baby as well.
When Josie is born she’s 5.1 lbs and 18.1 inches long. She’s born at 9:07am and while she’s strong, she’s healthy. Laila is a bit dazed but comes out fully alright, but they have to perform an emergency hysterectomy to stop her bleeding.
She loves fishing with Gale for dinner. She even has a fishing pole that Halsin made her when she was a baby.
While Halsin is close with all the kids, being an honorary uncle/grandpa, he immediately clicks with them. He adores them and always spoils them. When they visit the grove, he makes them a room to stay in with toys and books. They adore him back.

Arkhelios Adventures
The sun was much hotter than usual in Arkhelios, forcing its residents or visitors into either air conditioning or a pool to cope. Fortunately for Theo, his grandmother owned a pool, even if it wasn't as big as the Rivales'. While his parents were at work and all their kids were home from school for the weekend, it had fallen to Elaine to watch the Bellamy children. Saturnia and Abe were both napping in the air conditioned guest room and the twins had gone to visit with their father and Evren, leaving Theo mostly left to his own devices. He'd asked Ironman if Adam could come over and the former servo had agreed. Grandma Elaine certainly wouldn't have allowed it, but Theo had asked an adult resident of the house and gotten permission. He wasn't a lawyer like his aunt, but he was pretty sure that this was a foolproof plan to get what he wanted.
After splashing around in the pool for a bit, the boys had pulled out a floating toy to lounge on in the sun. Theo could feel the warmth of Adam's skin pressed against him and the faint throbbing of his pulse in the hands that wrapped themselves around him. He was pretty sure that this was as close to heaven as it got, seeing that he felt so happy that he just might die of it.
"The sun is nice," Adam murmured into Theo's shoulder. "I wish our school had a pool. We'd have a lot more opportunities to snuggle like this."
Theo wasn't sure if his face was hot because of the beating sun or from the sudden heat that engulfed him when he thought of making half naked aquatic snuggling a regular part of his day.
Still, he was haunted by the knowledge he'd promised to tell his boyfriend. After their sleepover two days ago, they'd studied for an upcoming test, had a pop quiz in potion class and then they'd been freed from school. The weekend was now theirs to enjoy, with plenty of time to have serious conversations. Theo wasn’t sure how to broach the subject, and Adam hadn't pushed him on the matter. He looked a little more worried than usual, but ultimately, he trusted that Theo would bring up the mysterious topic on his own.
"We need to have that talk I mentioned the other day," Theo said quickly, before he lost his nerve. "About the guy I met."
Adam's face changed in an instant, suddenly fully alert.
"The hot guy you don't want to dump me for, but is still going to be scandalous to me? I'm all ears."
Adam stared at Theo expectantly while Theo adjusted himself on the float. For reasons he wasn't sure about, it was surprisingly difficult to just say the words he needed to say. Maybe it was his own experience with scandalous accusations in his family that held him back from just confessing what he'd been told. Adam didn't deserve to feel the same way Theo did about his own father.
"I went home after school with Oliver Goldman, remember? For the project we were assigned by the witches' council?"
"That moldy soup you handed my dad? I'm sure he only let you pass because we're dating and Oliver is the queen's little brother. That thing stank!"
"Hey, I'm good at blood magic, not stupid potions!" Theo protested. "Not to mention that Oliver did absolutely nothing to help me. The guy's a dick, no matter who his sister is."
"And?" Adam prodded, looking anxious that their complicated conversation had started with the queen's brother who could do no wrong with their teachers.
"And I met his next door neighbour. His name was Ewan."
"Lots of people are named Ewan," Adam frowned. "Prince Ewan, Queen Claudia's grandfather, died young and tragically. It was out of respect for him that so many people in his family and around the world named their kids after him. I mean, my own dad is named after him; he was my dad's great-half-uncle or something."
"Yeah…but he told me that he wasn't named after some long dead prince. He's named after his father, Ewan G Maricourt."
There was complete silence for several minutes while Adam processed Theo's words.
"I don't have a brother," he said slowly, looking disturbed at the idea. "I would know if I had a brother. Why wouldn't my dad just tell me about him otherwise? I know he's had relationships since the divorce, but none that got serious enough to introduce us to. And he married both my mom and Miruna's mom when we were born, so why wouldn't he have married this kid's mother? Was this supposed brother a kid or was he older?"
"He looked our age, but he implied that he was older and more mature than me," Theo replied. "He was kind of a jerk too. He refused to get my name right."
"Do you think he was lying? I mean, we're not rich, but we're also not poor. Our family has connections, but there are so many other families that are better off. Do you think it could be a lie to kick my dad off of the council it to cause a scandal before Miruna's wedding? Theo, this could be a big deal, I need to talk to this guy before this story gets out of control."
Theo frowned. The thought that this mysterious guy could be a trap meant to hurt Adam's family hadn't occurred to him. He'd spent too long getting flustered by this Ewan's appearance and attitude to accurately advise his boyfriend.
"Well, he lives next door to Oliver's parents," he said. "His brother or something used to be friends with Queen Claudia growing up. He looked happy to see the queen again."
"Her Majesty was there when you met this guy? Theo, we need to get a handle on this before it gets out! The queen's old 'friend' and his little brother who claims to be my dad’s kid? This could ruin everything!"
Adam tried to control his breathing so that he didn't start hyperventilating, but it was hard to stay calm. Adam usually worried about even the smallest detail in his daily life, and this was just too much to handle.
“Okay, we need a plan. Who should we ask for help? Should we ask anyone or should we keep this quiet? No. No. If I tell someone, that means they’d know and might ruin things. This could be a trap to test how we’d react in a difficult situation. What if someone is planning a terrorist attack on the wedding and needs to see how Miruna’s family would react? No one’s solved the terror attack in Twikkii Island and that’s been years! What if this is being planned by the same people? The queen’s wedding might be their next target!”
“Or your dad’s just as bad at birth control as mine is,” Theo pointed out, trying to get his boyfriend to stop spiraling. “Trust me, I know from experience that these things probably aren’t terror attacks. Your dad is just a hoe. You get used to it after a while. My dads won’t stop cheating on each other; I probably have a million half-brothers. It’s not the end of the world. Your dad’s not married, so there’s not even an affair. Things are fine.”
“Or things could be wildly out of control. We need to know if this guy is dangerous.”
“Which means what? Asking your dad for a list of ex-girlfriends? Running a DNA sample with my creepy Aunt Oriana? What will help you feel safe? We’ll figure this out together, Adam. I promise.”
“Together!” Adam exclaimed quickly. “That’s it, Theo! We need to act together. If we can verify this guy’s story and he’s trouble, we can warn my dad and Miruna. I do need your help though. What’s the easiest way to accurately determine if two people are blood relatives that we have access to?”
“Uh, Aunt Oriana’s secret lab and all the machines I can’t touch in there?”
Adam shook his head.
“Too risky,” he replied. “She’d ask questions about running a paternity test and she’d need a sample of this guy’s DNA to work with. How would we possibly get one of those without raising suspicion?”
“In his garbage. Crime shows and Aunt Lucy say that that’s the best way to learn information about someone,” Theo stated proudly, confused by the disgusted look on his boyfriend’s face. “If they throw it away, it’s legal to rummage through.”
“What? No, gross. I’m not going diving in people’s garbage,” Adam stated. “Think about it though. A DNA test is beyond our skills, but what are you specifically in school studying?”
“Blood magic obviously.” He paused, trying to recall any important warnings his teachers had given him regarding his area of expertise. “Adam, I don’t think that- I mean-”
“Can you do it? Can you make a spell that will tell us if there’s a blood connection between two people? I think I’ve heard about one or two when the council still met at our house a few years ago. If you could cast a spell, you could tell me if he’s my brother easily. You could probably even submit it to school for extra credit.”
Theo paused, hesitating with his reply until he’d really had a chance to think this through.
“I think there’s a spell in my textbook,” he said slowly. “I’m really not supposed to practice this stuff unsupervised though. It can be dangerous and I might need another witch to help if I lose control of it.”
“Well, you have another witch,” Adam pointed out. He snapped his fingers and Theo’s backpack filled with textbooks left Theo’s messy room and landed by Adam’s feet. “This will be easy.”
Theo could feel his stomach churning from anxiety, but tried to keep smiling. His boyfriend needed this and it would be great practice. This was what Theo was studying for after all. It would be easy.
“Okay.”
“Okay, so we need a wand, some chalk, three drops of blood from the caster and salt,” Adam read.
He and Theo were curled around a hastily drawn magic circle, flipping through pages in the advanced blood magic assigned curriculum. After about twenty minutes, they’d found a spell that would work for what they needed it to do. It was a spell of revealing, of drawing together a bloodline. Theo was pretty sure that it was intended for some dark purpose, but he’d use the spell responsibly. They studied basic magical ethics in school; he’d be fine.
“Hmm, but in order to see your bloodline, you need to be the one casting the spell,” Theo pointed out. “I can’t cast the spell on you, you need to be the one shedding the blood and invoking it yourself.”
Adam’s face fell as he considered his options.
“I...I don’t think I’d be good at that,” he sighed. “Blood magic isn’t like formal magic and it’s hard enough for you to do. I’d probably end up wiping out my bloodline if I tried. Maybe there’s another spell that you can cast, like a curse that makes me see the truth or some kind of hex.”
“Not really, no. That’s not how blood magic works. It’s personal, that’s why I have to hide my true name, you know that. Blood, names, spells, it’s all intensely personal. All my teachers don’t even really encourage me to do some of these spells. Like a few for an exam, but overall, it’s something dark and horrible and not to be done. It’s why I’m pretty much the only kid in school learning it. My kind of magic is dangerous and bad.”
Adam’s face fell upon hearing those words and he immediately wrapped his arms around his boyfriend.
“None of that is true,” he insisted. “You’re a great warlock and your type of magic is valid and worthy to study. You’re great at it and I won’t stop until the whole world is okay with you studying it. No one is going to look down on you, not when I’m around.”
Theo smiled gratefully at his boyfriend. Some days it really did feel like he was studying some forbidden, dark magic that people looked down on him for and it wasn’t easy, especially when his potion work was poor and his attempts at formal teleportation had nearly ended with him losing a limb.
“In fact, you do the spell,” Adam suggested. “We’ll use a loophole. If I join your bloodline to mine, you could see the connections in my family. You could get closer to this Ewan without suspicion even. You can connect people, the sovereign wanted you to join your parents together. It should be easy.”
Theo stared at Adam in shock, trying to process this strange request.
“You want to join our bloodlines? Like how joined? Demonic marriage like my parents wanted or combining them in a more conventional way....like with a kid? You do know that’s why my powers are so strong and uncontrollable, right? Because conflicting curses were sealed into one embryo and I was going to explode one day and take half of my bloodline with me? Getting a paternity test done by my aunt would be a lot easier than any of that.”
“No, not with marriage or a kid,” Adam quickly replied. “My uncle died because he was messing around with that idea. I could never do something like that, my mom would never speak to me again. Obviously we wouldn’t be doing that. Not ever. Especially not with a kid!”
Theo released the breath he hadn’t realized he’d been holding at this assurance. He hadn’t thought that Adam was serious about any of that, but it was better to make sure. The Darktides did have a family history of pushing magical limits.
“Sorry. I’m sorry,” Adam sighed, pulling away from Theo shamefully. “I was just thinking about ways we could work together on this, while worrying about the chance that this whole half-brother thing could be some kind of trap. You’re just really strong and I thought that...well, it’s stupid. You’re right. Blood magic is really personal and permanent. I get it. We’ll do something else.”
A worried frown spread across Theo’s face as he watched Adam internally battle his own fears and reservations. Clearly, whatever he was thinking, he was extremely conflicted and stressed. Theo thought back to when he’d learned about Georgiana and could certainly commiserate. It wasn’t easy reevaluating who you thought your parents were and the many ways they could disappoint you.
“Well, look, it’s not all permanent with blood magic. There are different levels of blood joining. We could even try making a homunculus together in a bottle, that might be enough to work a temporary joining spell. There’s lots of different spells in my textbook. I was just surprised. It’s a good idea, but that’s kind of a lot to just throw at a person.”
Adam smiled, though it didn’t look sincere to Theo’s well trained eye.
“What’s the smallest level of joining we could do then? Something temporary. Something that won’t last for even the whole weekend. Then there’s no danger to either one of us. We just have to pay this Ewan a visit, see if he’s my brother and things will go back to normal right after.”
“A blood pact maybe?” Theo suggested. “We combine my magic and your bloodline to complete one mission: is Ewan your brother or is he not? Easy.”
“Easy,” Adam agreed. “I’ve always wanted to try blood magic, even if I’m not the one casting it. You and me, working together, doing magic. It’s romantic, don’t you think?”
Theo nodded confidently. This was romantic, as romantic as it could be anyway, investigating a potential half-sibling that was kept a secret. For a day at least, he and Adam would share their bloodlines and bind themselves together. What would it be like to feel his magic flow into Adam and have Adam’s ebb back in reply? They’d be stronger together, that was for certain. Maybe this could be a regular thing, especially a day before a magical exam. Surely it wasn’t cheating on a test if some of Adam’s formal magic guided Theo’s spellwork.
“We’re on a mission together, one that could save a royal wedding from disaster,” Theo teased playfully. He didn’t believe Adam’s paranoid worries, but it certainly sounded more adventurous to be saving a wedding from certain peril than investigating whether Adam’s father knew how to use birth control. “Okay, get the silver knife out of my backpack. It’s in with my pencils, I don’t use it very often.”
Adam did as he was instructed and held up the knife expectantly.
“Do I just stab it somewhere?”
“No, put your hand in the magic circle,” Theo commanded. “You need to use your true name for it to work. That’s your whole name and you have to say it in the proper way or the spell is weaker. Close your eyes and focus on your breathing. What’s your name and how does it sound when you think about yourself? Take a deep breath, prick your finger with the knife and say your name loud and clear.”
Theo held his breath again, waiting for his boyfriend to follow his commands. It was always risky doing blood magic with a partner in case they weren’t honest with their name or intentionally said it wrong or without the proper emphasis on the correct words. Most people were given their true names at birth and only chose how the sounds would be pronounced, while others rejected their given name and chose both the words and sounds that defined their magical essence. Honestly, he was dying with curiosity to hear Adam’s true name and had been since they were kids. It was something so private and sacred and he had chosen Theo to hear it over anyone else.
Adam took a deep breath and pierced his finger as commanded. He held his hand in the circle, watching as drops of blood fell, illuminating the circle’s magic.
“Adam Sebastian Casper Medora Darktide-Maricourt.”
Theo tried to hide his delight at this revelation that only he had heard, but was probably failing. He could spend an entire evening replaying this moment over and over in his head, committing each inflection to memory and truthfully, he probably would.
And he added Medora to his name, just like a true Maricourt would! That’s how he sees himself, and only I know it!
Still gleeful at this turn of events, Theo tried to focus on the task at hand. He reached for the knife and repeated Adam’s actions.
“Theodosius Ulysses Bellamy.”
A sudden spark of green flame flooded the circle, and disappeared as quickly as it came. Theo scanned the relevant page in his textbook and chanted the written latin, trying not to mess up any of the difficult words.
“Bind us together until we learn the truth about the blood connection between Adam Sebastian Casper Medora Darktide-Maricourt and Ewan, uh, Maricourt. Let me, Theodosius Ulysses Bellamy, be the vessel for this bloodline to gather and connect with each other. Let me see the truth that has been hidden. Bind us in this purpose.”
The rings of the circle hummed with life around the two teens, indicating that the spell had been successful.
“Did it work? Are we different now?”
Theo examined his hand carefully. The magical flames had seared his self-inflicted wound closed, but he still felt relatively normal.
“I’m not sure, I-” Theo stopped mid sentence when he saw the quiet flicker of magical energy flash the closer he was to Adam’s body. To test this discovery, Theo tried waving his hand in the opposite direction. When the light reappeared only when Adam’s hand was near his, Theo beamed.
“I’d say it worked! This is amazing! We did it!”
While Theo celebrated, Adam once more looked worried.
“Um, are you sure that was this Ewan’s name?” he asked quietly. “I mean, if no one’s aware of his existence, why would he have my dad’s last name? Does that matter?”
Theo paused to consider the question.
“Um, I don’t think so. I was picturing him when I said it and like I said, the true name of someone just makes the spell more powerful and accurate. I think we’re fine.”
“There are a lot of Ewans running around though. Are you sure?”
“Well, most of the ones that you know of are named after a family member,” Theo decided. “So they’ll be connected by blood anyway. If we find a blood connection to the Ewan we’re investigating, then he’ll be connected to the other Ewans too, which should end the spell. I think we’re fine.”
“Alright then. Let’s clean this mess up before your grandmother comes to check on us and has a heart attack. Then we have a possible brother to find.”
