If you're a fan of found family and a good, confusing, gut-wrenching mix of angst and fluff, this is the story for you! It starts with Bright Smiles and Bloody Lips, wherein Sam adopts (read: kidnaps) a young boy from a group home after saving him from a monster. Sparkling Eyes and Cigarette Burns follows their Season 5 adventures.

y'know, the different factions of spn fandom on tumblr do fundamentally and vehemently disagree with each other about a lot of things, and many of the factions actively hate one another, but i just want to say for the record that i appreciate the fact that this site is not overrun with painfully hetero facebook fans. i just saw someone over there saying with their whole chest that they fully expected the finale to have dean meeting jo harvelle in heaven and them getting afterlife married, and someone else angrily responded that this was obviously never going to happen because clearly dean was still in love with lisa braeden who would therefore be his finale bride (i guess this person expected her to die in the finale somehow?), and then someone ELSE responded that they wouldn't want to see either of those things happen because they like to pretend dean is their boyfriend and it would feel like cheating(!!!!) if he ended up with one of them and they'd never be able to fantasize about him anymore. and all of these comments had over a dozen people agreeing with them.

Rewatching Supernatural is just reminding me of old headcanons I have.

My favorite headcanon is that every Mother's and Father's day, Sam gets up early to go out and pick up food then comes back to the hotel to serve Dean breakfast in bed.

Because Dean is his one true mother and father.

Dean gave literally everything for his child.

Weekly Update

Not much got done in the way of original works, but I made some pretty big strides with my fanfiction this week! 

On Wednesday, I posted Clear the Static, a voicemail fix-it oneshot for Supernatural, and it got 30+ kudos on AO3 in less than 24 hours, which was very exciting! Suicide is a topic that is discussed in the story, so if that’s a trigger for you, I would not read this story. However, I am working on getting together a story about Depressed!Sam that does not have any suicidal ideation in it. 

I wrote two chapters of Awesome Mix Vol. 1, and that means there’s only three chapters to go. I think I’m going to post the first chapter on Wednesday, 02/28/2024 and have that be the next story I post regularly. For those wondering, it’s a Guardians of the Galaxy collection of stories following Peter’s life growing up with the Ravagers.

I finished the next chapter of Sparkling Eyes and Cigarette Burns, but it’s going to need some serious editing. Still, it should be posted within the next couple of weeks. If you like Dad!Sam and Uncle!Dean, then the series Bright Smiles and Bloody Lips is for you! Check it out!
