going to disable rbs on that painkillers post in a minute but absolutely fascinated by how casually and frequently the sentiment of moral superiority or strength comes up from people who take painkillers infrequently. many, many of the people saying once a month or less add something about powering through, having a high pain tolerance, or just dealing with it. on the other hand, most if not all people saying its more than once a week say they often dont take meds when theyre in constant pain because of the medical ramifications of taking painkillers too much. the common thread for people who take them frequently is “im in pain much more than i medicate for, but i just have to live with it” whereas the common theme for people who dont take them frequently seems to be “i dont need them often because im stronger than the people who use them all the time” which is such a crazy backwards way of understanding chronic pain i feel a bit floored at how common that undertone is there

truly incredible gig tn atmosphere was stunning and also I was stood almost just behind maybe The most handsome butch I have ever seen in my life im not even exaggerating and they were also there alone (VERY rare at this show) and we made eye contact like twice bc they turned around a couple times and as I was leaving I realised they were suddenly right next to me and then I lost them in thr crowd!!!!! and im kicking myself so fucking hard bc I so badly wanted to catch them just to tell them I've never seen someone so gorgeous in my entire life im stone cold sober btw just completely losing my mind.
