a huge suegiku analysis:

okay in the last ask you mentioned how tetchou stabs jouno for fun and sillies and stuff which happened to make me think a lot about how tetchou acts decently different around jouno than others.

tetchou is typically rather formal in the way he acts in a way? as in he's very straightforward, generally composed and calm in his words, and polite to anyone he's dealing with.

an example of this is when he still treated the cafe owner kindly despite him being an "accessory to terrorism" in jouno's words.

basically, in most situations, he remains very composed. even when he's up to his sillier antics (like when he was watching ants or doing pushups during a meeting). he's direct and straight-faced almost always around most people. he doesn't act that way to be seen as silly, it's just who he is (and i love it).

i would imagine he could act this way for many reasons. it is most likely him being professional, likely as a reference to the irl tetchou who had samurai lineage; making him act with the tone and professionalism of samurai.

despite his professionalism, maybe he has difficulty being expressive around most people, or maybe he doesn't want to be expressive around people by choice.

but this is where he's different around jouno.

firstly, i'll talk about the times he's stabbed jouno. this has happened twice, and both were to de-escalate jouno from his tendancy to mentally torment people.

the wording in these panels implies this is a regular occurrence. which is a little funny to me hehe.

anyway, we see by the way that he acts around others that usually he de-escalates situations by talking first instead of acting. he will turn to violence if he believes it's needed, but typically he talks first. we see this when he confronts kenji verbally before attacking.

yet with jouno he doesn't bother to tell him to stop first, instead opting to jab him. remembering that the hunting dogs have enhanced physical strength, a small stab wound probably isn't a huge deal for them.

because of this i think the stabbings are tetchou partially teasing jouno. him messing around like that isn't something he does with anybody else but he seems to enjoy pissing off his partner.

also. stabbing him directly in the ass? gay as hell. jouno following up by saying "don't poke my ass every single time" implies that his ass specially gets jabbed a lot. hmmmm

anyways

another example of this is when tetchou smirks/chuckles at jouno insisting that he's the greatest hunting dog. the small laugh was most definitely to bother jouno.

mmmm theyre both so pretty.

once again, tetchou pushes aside his composed self and being intentionally silly only really happens towards jouno.

arguably, this can be shown again in the pushups scene.

tetchou acting unbothered and then calling jouno's weight "just right" while he continues to exercise seems like a combination of him trying to (jokingly) annoy jouno as well as his tendency to not acknowledge his own actions as bothersome or odd to others.

anyway to sum up this segment: tetchou is only seen intentionally bothering and teasing jouno and nobody else. he acts much differently towards others but seems to let his professional guard down around only his partner. this shows a great layer of trust and comfort between the two!

oh. but im not done talking about this. not at all.

the other huge display of emotions for tetchou was everything that went down with kenji.

as displayed throughout most of tetchou's appearances, he's incredibly justice-orientated. he has a tendancy to put justice above everything. here's a couple panels showing this:

using his own logic here, he should have went after bram after having found him. tetchou even admitted that, but there was one other thing more important to him than that. jouno.

starting here, this panel takes place after bram and aya escape. at this point, tetchou had assumed the agency was using bram to control people; meaning it wasn't just kenji he technically had business with at that time.

i will also preface this by saying the book's influence likely had an impact on tetchou attacking kenji before they could finish talking.

however, the book's writing didn't stop tetchou from insisting on finding jouno before taking down the agency. his worry towards jouno's whereabouts made him change his stance on justice as well as deterred him from prioritizing taking down the agency.

now that he's talking to kenji, i'd like to start it by showing that he seemed genuinely grateful and happy when kenji initially offered to help him find jouno.

as well in the anime, his eyes soften when kenji offers to help.

after talking to kenji for a brief moment, he opts to attack instead of continuing. this seems out of character for tetchou; he even apologized to kenji before saying he needs to find jouno as quickly as possible.

the fact that he apologized, combined with how we've seen him treat people in the past shows that this isn't typically what he resorts to.

also, in the anime we can see the gloss his eyes slightly shaking as he says this line, which could display worry, sadness, or anger towards whatever could be happening to his partner.

he seems almost distraught, which is a huge contrast to his typically-composed self.

and, of course; there's the fact that mid-fight tetchou had to tell kenji that jouno is a good person despite what people think.

he looks genuinely sad here, as if he's speaking from his heart. jouno has very-clearly put up a tough exterior that he uses around everyone, but tetchou goes out of his way to defend him even when he absolutely doesn't need to.

he could have stayed silent or just said he wants his coworker back, but he insisted on stating that jouno is a good person.

it's also important to note that nobody else tends to speak kindly of jouno, which puts a lot more depth on their closeness to each other. tetchou sees through jouno's words and actions and knows that he is heavily misunderstood.

and of course, we have tetchou directly saying that he will place jouno above justice despite knowing what the right course of action should have been.

he is putting jouno above the very thing he basis his career as well as his morality on. that's how worried he is. that's how much he cares.

and in this panel, we see he's extremely angry towards kenji's lack of response.

lets compare this to the first time tetchou fought the agency.

in chapter 61, when he was fighting the agency alongside jouno; he kept a more menacing/intimidating look as he attacked. when he was not attacking, he kept calm-looking despite being pissed off. compared to when he was fighting kenji in chapter 100 and looked infuriated. even the different fonts used for the dialogue puts further emphasis on this.

now, i'm going to jump ahead to the end of tetchou and kenji's fight. tetchou recognizes his mistake and asks kenji to kill him.

it's important to note that his reasoning as to why he should have chased justice was because he doesn't think jouno would have condoned his choice.

he specified it again, even opting to call jouno his friend. also note how white his eyes are here, meaning his intent was pure and he genuinely felt awful for misjudging what jouno would have wanted. he cares so much that he was asking to be killed for misunderstanding what was the correct course of action.

and then after kenji insists on helping him find jouno instead, he smiles in relief before the two pass out.

one last small note is that we've only ever seen tetchou smile three times throughout the manga so far, and all of them were mentioned here and involved jouno.

to sum it all up: tetchou, who is typically very composed and justice-orientated, is willing to throw aside his entire stance on justice for jouno. he lets his professional guard down around his friend, allowing them to tease each other and be silly as well, which he doesn't appear to do around others often. this shows that the two have a close bond and genuinely care so much about each other.

as for jouno, i don't have as much to say however there definitely is a few things i'd like to touch on.

firstly, despite claiming to hate tetchou a lot, jouno still uses a respectful honourific (-san) whenever he refers to him. i'm not a japanese speaker so please feel free to correct me if i'm wrong but there's a good chance jouno would opt to not use an honorific at all if he genuinely detested tetchou as much as he claims.

and when it comes to teasing, jouno does it much more often than tetchou does (however he also messes with more people, it's just a personality difference between the two).

clearly with the way they act around each other, jouno does not actually hate tetchou. i think they like to bother each other by play-bullying.

also, noting on jouno's criminal past, he was given an easy oppurtunity to be thrown into the DoA where he could be incredibly powerful and would likely not face any consequences for his actions had he joined.

we know he declined fukuchi's offer because he found joy in saving innocent people. but i would the influence of the other hunting dogs helped set him into that place of mind. tetchou seems to be the one he works with most, so there's a good chance he takes a lot of inspiration from how tetchou handles justice.

another thing i noticed with jouno is that his displaying of emotions is almost an inverse of how tetchou acts. jouno keeps smiling a lot despite who he's speaking to. in contrast, he can keep a straight face when interacting with tetchou a lot.

of course, that could make it seem as if jouno is unhappy around tetchou, but i would argue it's the opposite.

some people will force a happy expression to appear unassuming or kind (or in a lot of jouno's cases, intimidating). so him allowing himself to maintain a straight face around tetchou could mean that he is comfortable enough around him to not feel the need to express everything. he doesn't need to keep his guard up around tetchou.

jouno almost always keeps a very happy or calm composure around enemies, likely as an intimidation factor. yet he allows himself to express frustration and annoyance around the hunting dogs in general, and most often with tetchou. i'd like to imagine this just shows his security in his partner.

the last thing i'll mention here is a lot of speculation on my behalf. however i think that jouno seems like the type to push away those close to him. i kind of perceived his supposed hatred towards tetchou to be a combination of joking around as well as possibly a defense mechanism to try and avoid keeping people close?

my main reason in stating that is that he's claimed to not like any of his coworkers yet still opts to not betray them and still works well with them. if he truly hated tetchou, he probably wouldn't allow them to work together. he likely says such things to avoid being liked too much, and these actions proved to work since tetchou acknowledged that everyone sees jouno as cold.

yet through all that tetchou still knew he was good despite the exterior, which makes them well-suited for each other.

anyways: i feel like these two really do treat each other much differently than they treat the other people around them. that puts a lot of emphasis on their bond and closeness in general. they can be silly around each other, they can get through arguments no problem, they make a great team, and clearly care about each other a ton! they mean so much to me <3

Yandere Uppermoons Headcannons x GN Reader.

Gyutaro:

Obssesive Yandere

He barely does anything, his insecurities don't let him approach, so he gets pent up.

Everytime you he sees you and speaks to you, you spend more time and space in his mind. Sooner or later you become everything he can think about [besides his sister]

He actually feels guilty for thinking so much about you, specially since it causes disagreements with Daki. (She thinks or you should die or that Gyutaro should make a move, and Daki is more kin on the first one.)

Gyutaro is slowly wasting away, he starts to stalk you, never doing more than that.

Sooner or later this will snap and there are only two results, you start a relationship with him or die (by Daki's hand, since the rejection would break Gyutaro and she would want revenge).

If you both get into a relationship, while he will be more calmed, he will become emotionally dependent on you, the same way he is with Daki.

If you died he would go on rampage, then he would become in general more emotional and sensitive, not managing to get in terms with your death.

Gyokko:

He's an Self-indulgent Yandere

He wants to be adored and gets angry if you don't, will resort to violence.

He expects you to fit in the image he made about you. How do you handle it will make a big difference. If you are able to give him what he wants you will be favored, if not you will be punished.

The worst punishment you might face, in case you don't only fail in his eyes, but also go actively against him, is him taking parts off your body. The first two warnings would be cutting the pincky off, first one hand, then the other. Then 4 more warnings in the teeth. Even if you are a demon and heal, the deal is that you have been warned.

Once the warnings are over he will cut first one eye, then the tongue, then the other eye. If human, that you would be basically useless as blind, so he would dispose you. If demon he will start cuting off limbs, your 4 last chances. First legs, then arms and once is the head's turn, game over.

He would curse you if you died, for not being able to reach the standard and survive.

I would mention a decay in his mental health but besides being more violent and less patient/tolerant it doesn't separate much from normal Gyokko.

Hantengu:

A Clingy Yandere

He gets a heart attack for everytime you dissapear without him knowing where you are.

There is also the fact that he follows you everywhere. He doesn't try to isolate you, just make sure you are always with him around.

He doesn't even try anything or make a move for a relationship, he is just there ALL THE TIME.

He becomes violent if anyone tries to separate you from him, to the point of killing. Besides that, he is not aggressive. He doesn't hurt you in any way nor acts on jealosy.

He prefers it if you only ever keep contact and relationships with him and his clones, but besides that, you don't have to worry about him doing anything to the people who are dear to you as long as they don't intervine in what he is doing.

He would kill you if you tried to take him out of your life.

He would at least keep your head, in case you are human, if you died or he killed you.

After your death he would lose touch with reality, having illusions about you, specially if he kept your head. He would become paranoid of you wanting revenge.

Sekido:

Sekido would be a Possessive Yandere.

He hates when others get close to you, even the other clones. He becomes violent against them.

He is also aggressive if you try to connect with others and makes sure to severe any relationship you have.

He might lock you up if you try to get away from him or if he gets tired of fighting people off.

He would not be actively trying to hurt you, but sometimes he would grab or push you too hard, giving you bruises that, unless if you are a demon, it would take days for them to heal.

Sekido would never kill you and would try his best to protect you from dying, he would also try to make you dependent on him.

If you were to die he would attack anyone who mouned you, saying he is the only one with the right to do so, to keep your memory. He would even destroy your memorial if only to stop people from visiting you.

Karaku:

Karaku would be a Delusional Yandere.

Knowing him, he already thought you had a crush in him before he had feelings for you. He takes for granted that people love him because he is slutty hot.

He just acts as if you were already a couple, even when it clearly makes you uncomfortable. He constantly refers to you as if you were his.

Thanfully, Karaku is not violent and is very chill with his jealosy, but you can't get him to understand boundaries.

He is ok with you having friends, family, an independent income, and all. He would also never try to hurt you or anyone around you.

"It's ok babe, you just haven't realized it yet. I can wait a little more for you, when you are ready to admit that you love me."

If you were to die, besides mouning for you constantly, he would be back to normal.

Urogi:

Urogi is a Impulsive Yandere, what else is new.

One could swear he has an egg where his brain should be. He really doesn't think things through, just acts. It doesn't help that he is really spontaneous.

The moment he sees someone getting too close to you for his liking he just attacks. The moment he wants you just for himself he just kidnaps you, even if it's only for the night.

The worst part it's impossible for him to understand what he did wrong. Why are you angry? Why are you scared? He even has the audacity to get sad if you yell at him or scold him.

He is ok with you being with the other clones, and doesn't actively try to isolate you, he just always acts on the heat of the moment. As long as he is not around you can do anything you want.

He would never hurt you, at least not un porpuse, and it would never be related to jealosy or such. It would mostly be playful accidents.

If you were to die, after he killed the responsible ones, he would become stressed and start molting, part of him would refuse to believe it and wait for you to come back.

Aizetsu:

Don't trust his pretty face, he is a Manipulative Yandere.

Aizetsu knows he is cute and pitiful, that some whines, tears, and blinking very fast will get you to do as he wants. And he wants you to pay attention to him only.

It's so simple for him to make you isolate yourself, knowing fully well that hou will side him at any conflict if he manages to make himself look as the victim, which is easy. Putting you against other people dear to you.

He is ok with you being with the other clones, but he will come to make a pitiful act if you spend to much time with them. "I feel you are spending too much time without me, and it makes me sad. Can I do anything for you to want to be with me more?"

No matter what, he would not let you die. Aizetsu would never hurt you but he would not let you want anything but him. He is patient and confident he can keep you for himself.

In case you do die (it would be unrelated to him) he would mourn for you everynight, but keep others from doing so, keeping your belongings and making sure he is the only one he can have access to your memorial.

Nakime:

Possessive Yandere.

She would never hurt you, she wants you to be safe and sound. But she also wants you to be with only her.

She would keep you trapped inside the Infinity Castle. She always promises to let you out later, but she always "forgets".

If anyone finds you on that fortress, or even outside, she will kill them.

She doesn't hurt you physically, but also doesn't seem to ubderstand what the isolation does to your mental health.

To be honest, she is very sweet with you. She seems to have Lima syndrome, since she gets you everything you need or want.

How tf are you supposed to die before her in this conditions besides suicide? That would anger her a lot. How dare you abandon her?

She would mourn you and become very bitter, besides that, she would work as always.

Akaza:

100% a Overprotective Yandere.

Akaza isn't even doing it on purpose, but he is very paranoid that you might die and he won't be there. So he must always be there.

If anybody gets close to you he gets in alert, forget people being in arm reach or less to you, even if he will give warnings previously, he will attack.

He would not trust your friends, family, the people you work/study with, neighbours, or anyone to not hurt you if he isn't there. He would actively try to isolate you, both talking to you and confronting them.

Akaza can't manipulate to save his life, you know what he is doing, and he becomes frustrated that you don't see thibgs his way. Still, he would never hurt you in any way possible, so he keeps that for himself.

He tries to fill all of your needs by himself, he takes care of you, and is good at it. He doesn't like to fight and always apologies to make you upset, even if he can't bring himself to let you be.

If you were to die he kills himself after killing everyone involved.

Douma:

He's actually a Clingy Yandere.

Douma's life keeps him busy and bored, he likes it too much when you are around. At least you must always be inside the cult, where he knows what you are doing, with who, when and he can go and see you the second he is free.

He makes sure all your needs are met and that you get to have things and moments you like. Douma likes to spend time with you and the favoritism he has over you and everyone you like is visible.

He doesn't understand his own jealosy, so he never acts on it on the moment and he doesn't always has chance to do it later. But if he is bothered by anyone getting too close to you for his licking, he will eat them.

Douma also doesn't make a move, he doesn't know well what he is feeling, just that he wants you with him, healthy and happy until you die naturally (or forever, if you are a demon).

He is not violent... unless you try to leave. He will kill you if you do.

He will eat you after he is done so he can have you inside of him forever and continue his life as before he met you. He will always remember you fondly, so if you have a family member similar to you, he will recognize your features inmediately.

Kokushibou:

Definetely an Obssesive Yandere

He never acts on it, but he thinks about you constantly. It gets to the point he wishes he never met you.

At first he didn't act up because he didn't think those feelings were important, later they became too much for him.

He doesn't know what to do with his feelings, he genuinely wants to get rid of them, always ends up blaming you for it and so, you are always in his mind. Whenever he is fantasizing about your love or your death previous of the day you met, it's always you.

Kokushibou has a big self-control, so probably don't know anything about this. He treats you the same way he treats everyone else. Cold, evasive, threatening. The biggest vlue you have is that you find him staring at you from time to time. How are su supposed to tell what he feels? (Even he doesn't know if he loves you or hates you.)

If he gets angry, jealous or upset about you being close to anyone else, then he will avoid hou for weeks. That is not a signal for you since he spends equal time searching for you than evading you.

At most he would verbally hurt you, and he is naturally intimidating. He doesn't mean most of it, but still, you would not form a relationship of any type.

If you were to die he would secretly keep a belonging of yours or something you liked. He would cry for some seconds and then move one

I hope this isn’t weird but, I stumbled upon these TikTok’s and they reminded me of some your iwtv metas.

@louis-of-nola omg it's not weird at all; thank you for liking my IWTV metas, and for sending me links to these REALLY good analyses of Black & LGBTQ+ people in white media! ❤️ TBH I'm never on apps like TikTok, Twitter or Instagram, so NGL I was bracing myself for rage bait when I clicked the links, only to be pleasantly surprised by these two videos by Mouseabolition on film theory--I sincerely appreciate it!

The first link especially got to me:

Cuz in Mouseabolition's critique of the White Gaze--particularly the White (Female) Gaze--she mentioned one of my favorite horror movies, Get Out.

"A lot of black people I know are able to very deeply care about and empathize with pieces of media that are attempting to speak to our experiences, even when it's done poorly. And we're not necessarily trying to say: 'That's a good thing and that was done well.' But it's the same reason why Chris from Get Out--THE template for black horror--why Chris from Get Out felt like such a new, refreshing horror protagonist. A huge part of what makes Get Out work, and what differentiates Chris from the average horror movie protagonist--outside of just like the surface level analysis of he's a black man--is that Jordan Peele (who is also a black man) was able to write a black character with the realistic higher level of consciousness and alertness towards danger, that all black people have to move with. And that higher level of consciousness is a huge part of why most black people I know can't take white people's horror movies seriously anyway. It's because white people walk around throwing themselves into situations that are destined to create horrific scenarios; and when you are somebody who has to walk around going: 'I can't do that, I'm gonna die!' it's really hard to feel shocked and horrified and surprised when somebody does something that you know damn well is gonna end up with them dead! Black people--particularly like black women and queer folks--don't really have the privilege of walking around with the illusion that we are more or better represented than we are. And so you learn to look at things more critically, and that gets stereotyped as nagging or a bad thing! But it's not, because thinking about things critically, genuinely all the way through, is frequently what leads the black people I know to finding those kernels of good in stories, where most people are just like: 'No, I just think that's silly, it's just dumb.'" I've made four IWTV metas comparing the horrific experiences of Chris in Get Out and Louis in IWTV, cuz I noticed that the core themes of Black men in white spaces wrt vulnerability, exploitation, gaslighting & manipulation resonated between both horror shows in a way that directly reflects IRL experiences.

This is particularly the case when Black people are involved in toxic interracial relationships that end in horrific tragedy for the Black partner. The horror comes into even sharper focus when it's the Black victim who ends up blamed/lied on by their white abuser/murderer that tried to play the innocent victim, weaponizing White Tears to justify/get away with literal crimes--which I've also provided links to before, cuz this BS really happens to us (x).

It's especially effed up when you're dealing with victims of abuse who suffer from mental illness, and are blamed/attacked by the authorities/masses. IRL we see Bipoc mentally ill folk who call the white cops for help and are the ones who get killed (x x); yet the IWTV fandom is overrun with racists who REFUSE to put 2 + 2 together to save their biased AF souls. I felt so vindicated in 2x5 - 2x8 when AMC explicitly showed that Louis & Claudia were telling the truth about the Drop Scene in 1x5, and that Armand had lied the whole time, effing with Louis AND Daniel's memories; after so many racist AF white Lestans & Armstans said the Lou & Claudia were spiteful liars who just wanted poor uwu blorbo Lestat & Armand to look bad cuz they're not Black, like WHAT!? We saw a literal Black LYNCHING happen on screen, where Black!Louis was buried alive & Black!Claudia was burned alive by a bottle-blonde white man in front of a predominately white audience in a "play"/snuff film co-written & directed by 3 non-Black people (Armand, Sam & Lestat); meanwhile the fans INSIST that this show's NOT about race. 🤡 BUFFOONERY!

By race-swapping Louis & Claudia & heightening the abuse they suffered in the books to make their treatment WORSE, AMC was literally talking to the predominately white gaze of the audience that SALIVATES over fetishizing Black people on one hand but still perpetrates injustices against Black people on the other hand; and the racist IWTV fandom proves them right every effing day!

And I also LOVE what MouseAbolition's Tik Tok said about the careful & highly conscious ways that Black people (esp. Black queer people) have to move in society, BECAUSE they're more vulnerable to persecution & penalties & punishment than white people.

Black gay men are marginalized by white AND black people alike; there are Black fans who are also against seeing Louis as a female-coded character. Because this is a white world, the white gaze affects ALL of us, and the panopticon of censure & censorship forces us to police each other and mistreat our own sometimes even worse than white people will--look at emotionally abusive/negligent mothers like Florence who has a particular image to uphold amongst the conservative Catholic Black elite during Jim Crow (vs. white Gabrielle who CAN support her white son's eccentricities); and homophobic women like Grace (who herself is married to a man who's NOT "the man of the house," Levi coddled by Florence & financially supported by Grace's inheritance & Louis' money). But at the end of the day the problem still lies with white (wo)men who weaponize Othering by means of race/gender/sexuality/etc in order to isolate marginalized peoples from systems of support, so that they might be more easily exploited & abused--which I've constantly argued wrt to Loustat.

It grates on my effing nerves when white fans (esp. It's not just Tim. It's her too but she is digging her heels in. I can’t say I don’t agree with Tim on the projection. Lucy using Isabel as an excuse for that. I think she is using it more than he is IMO at this point in time. She usually is right on the money with Tim. This time doesn't feel like it. Almost as if she’s using Isabel as a scape goat for being scared more so than Tim. Lucy saying she’s fine. Lying liar my love lying liar.

Poor Tim wanting to show he’s not the problem my love. That he's not the only one. There is clearly still a lot to sort through for them. This scene is proof of that. Lucy gets a call from Tim to meet at the station. This has to be the lie detector test. Harper telling her to run I was dying.

Lucy couldn’t be happier with this answer. Same look she got whenever he complimented her in the past. They be beaming everyone. Then he get’s a big fact lie with the UC question crap. Now I feel this isn't fair. Because the man LIVES to support her but he is a struggle bus about this path. To me that 'lie' wasn't because he doesn't support her. To me just those damn demons that won't rest for him.

Now do I love it squarely being just on Tim this UC Fight? No I don't. I do think she is still having doubts but love him laying it out there. I think the issue's Lucy is having just haven't been confronted yet. Their fight from 6x01 was about Tim's issues for most part. Her's were for sure in there just not as prominently. I'm hopeful we touch on her's later this season.

This still feel unresolved to me and imbalanced. Especially now that Tim has admitted some fault to their problems as of late. I feel like I have a really good grasp on these characters. To me my gut is telling me Lucy is scared, having doubts, worried about a long term assignment. What it'll mean for them. Her side of it still needs to be delved into. 5x20-5x21 shook her more than she is letting on. Truly think this just hasn't been explored yet. Because they both have things to resolve with this career choice.

Also wanna note in this lovely scene. Lucy has her hands all over her him and I’m about it my god. The intimate swaying and leaning into each other. That magnetic force of their's bringing them back together. Their bodies relaxing for the first time in this entire episode. Just happy to be near one another. They're glowing when they come back together in this moment.

Gah their chemistry is out of this world. The conversation went like this: general pleasantries followed by her being like I'm so relieved you reached out to me because I really just want to have a more positive relationship with all of you guys and I know how annoying it is when a landlord isn't able to deal with things in a timely manner I get it I'm a renter too... i get the sense that, just as i had over-prepared for the conversation, she had over-prepared to apologize for the fact that the basement bathroom has a recurring leak issues that get patched up and then continue to cause issues meanwhile she's literally going through a divorce and has to keep postponing because she wants to be there when the repair dudes come to make sure they're doing their job properly but she has a big trial coming up and had to put it off by another week, it's really no big deal tbh... I assured her that she's been doing a fantastic job at staying on top of things and communicating with us oh my fucking god okay new girl is banging that fugly creepy white boy she keeps bringing over so god damn loud l cant wait for her to gtfo anyways yeah so we basically just spent 10 minutes getting on the same page like we good we good she just wants to make sure that everyone is chill in the house and we had a really good talk about what we all want from this but TLDR once we got down to business it went like this:

Me: so like I just kept to myself and my work without thinking about it... then I find out she was living here totally off the record when PG sent that email requesting that she be added to the lease. That's when the conversation opened up. And listen this new girl is super young super naive didnt realize that she was even doing anything wrong and then suddenly everyone's totally freaking out and realizing that this goes against the lease agreement and that if you find out, our ability to live here is jeopardized. She got us into hot water and then just... left us to deal with the consequences.

Her: she's still legally bound by the lease until it changes so if anything goes wrong she wont be escaping accountability no matter how many -isms she throws at me. I want this to work for all of us and we got this trust thang between us and I wouldn't evict you guys omg evictions are seriously sooo annoying and *most* of you have been great tenants especially (names everyone except for the unemployed ftm) they're all super chill and mature and we've had great conversations so yeah I'm just glad she's gone

Anyways, I will be honest I have some mixt feeling rn :00

About the clock keepers themselves?? I don't have that much fear tbh, they are supernaturals in their boundary, and contrary to number 3 they don't have hearts that Tsukasa or anyone else can consume. I think they will be fine (or I am being delusionnal to protect myself, you choose rip) I love them very much they will always live in my heart.

I was REALLY not happy with chapter 109, having to be focused on little crumbs was really hard when I have been waiting for their focus for more than 4 years. Having the joke that is chapter 109 absolutely destroyed me, they are my fav mysteries and I want something good for them, unfortunately I am not sure they will get it.

Chapter 110 gave me some hope because yes what is happening is not normal, and I am glad it was adressed. For me it was obvious af it' wasn't, but I really needed confirmation from the author to be sure.

I have always said that the clock keepers were unique and Teru confirms it in this chapter with the official translation:

'The clock keepers are clearly unique even among the school mysteries, and go beyond the average supernaturals'

They are n°1, the only mystery with three beings in it and with a human, one of the last two mysteries left with the other one being the main focus on the manga. Of course something is strange with how they are treated right now. What is happening?

None of them used their time powers expect for Mirai once as the judgment. The stuff they are saying to punish Tsukasa seems more like jokes and they aren't treating the trial as they should be (but this may be just because chapter 109 is bad af lol). Mirai can litteraly see the future if she wants to.

The owls, their shikigami/familiars don't move at all when their masters are attacked, they are in their own boundary, their shrine. Maybe their powers are related to the clock Natsuhiko destroyed (and I would be sad af if this is the reason and nothing can be done) we just don't know what is happening. Do they have a plan? Are they playing a part (which would be funny because some stuff about the clock keepers are related to theaters and plays) Did someone forced them to do something? We don't know anything about the clock keeper, them being in the same spot as n°6 before we got to his story.

We just know they are special among the mysteries, they are the oldest ones, Kako and Mirai are made of gears and a human has a seat in it.

I am pretty sure Teru had this conversation with Akane here because he knows the clock keepers are special.

The two mysteries being the more visible here being the god of death and the clock keepers.

It's also the only mystery Hanako didn't want to destroy right away because they could be useful. All mysteries had their yorishiro destroyed/were planned to be destroyed once they got students in danger. (expect for Tsuchigomori who just, accepted it as a precaution rip) The clock keepers are the only ones who got a free pass on this even after getting the whole school involved.

Their powers are just above a lot of the others, and everyone know how useful it can be, so once again why aren't they using it?

Not caring about their yorishiro is also super strange. Especially when the one the most against Hanako's plan to destroy the yorishiros in the manga is Kako.

A mystery has to choose a yorishiro to be a proxy of the gods, to be able to have this status.

They have to choose a yorishiro so they don't run away from the job, it's the thing the most important to them so they would never destroy it. They have to protect it. Teru assuming they don't care is just so so strange. Why wouldn't they? That's the whole point of what a yorishiro is! They even hide it in one of them as an extra precaution! A lot of things go against what has been established before for yorishiros it's just plain out suspicious.

Kako and Akane are also really really duty centered characters. Akane will do a job even if he doesn't want to if he is asked to do it and Kako is the one being represented as the observator over the mysteries to see if they are respecting their sworn duty.

I also don't know what to think about their yorishiro for now. What does it open? A door to another room? Is it to protect something? Is it to activate another automaton? Can it be related somehow to the old clock keeper of the present? (delulu land again)

Idk I am really curious. I really hope we won't have the answer right away though, they were defeeated way too quickly and I hope they have more stuff to them. We got Hakubo's and Sumire's story and a part of the Yugi twins beforec their yorishiro got destroyed, so I hope it will be the same for them. That we will have time to get to know them a little bit more.

And after all, neither Nene or Hanako want to destroy any more yorishiro for now, and Tsukasa apparently lost it at the end of the chapter (we can see the hand who had it being empty. But AidaIro has sometimes a problem of coherence with their right and left and objects disappearing and appearing which I can understand with the rythm they have to keep with the manga, so I am not sure)

I have a lot of fears about this tbh, because maybe AidaIro will just give us the reason why they are weak rn and continue the story without explaining anything about them, not giving them the spotlight I think they truly deserve. The worst for me would be they work for Sakura, I really really hope it's not this, but I am really scared :///

So I will go for this for now, even if this is really depressing for me, but I don't want to have my hopes up with how the writing have been really ups and downs since the start of this arc (the only good chapter for me being chapter 108).

I am still really intrigued by what is Akane's real duty and why is he so reluctant to do it but still does it? Why Akane said they had to do the trials now? Honestly I have a lot of questions and I know no matter what happens, the clock keepers make me super sad (in a good way) and happy at the same time. And this last chapter with Mirai and Akane was a blast (I am actually writing a whole document on them rn it's long I will link it later ahah)

I also wonder if any of the clock keepers can use the others' clocks or not? Does this mean like Kako can go full OP while using all three powers at the same time? (let's go grandpa give us everything) I am curious since they are a mystery where having an object is important for their powers (Kako and Mirai being able to use their with bare hands because they have their clocks on them, I can be wrong about it though)

We are also left with only Akane as n°1 rn and idk what it will mean for him.

So yes full of fears, but also I know I will find crumbs to go delulu on :DD I would try to stay full positive but with the focus being on Tsukasa and on how secondary characters rn are mostly as 'objects for the plot' (I mean, look at Nene :')) I can't really ://

But be sure, I will forever love the clock keepers even if the plots are not respecting them

You ever think about what would happen if Bruce had to kill in self defence?

Like literally no other choice, just attacked without holding back because he knows he’s about to die, and he puts a bit more force behind it than he expects and suddenly they’re not moving why aren’t they moving what has he done—

I haven’t put a lot of thought into it, and it depends entirely on how you write his character, but I think he’d either A. spiral before eventually coming to terms with the fact that there really was no other option at the time, B. panic and hide all evidence and pretending nothing happened while slowly spiralling into a pit of self loathing, OR if you want to go the really angsty route, maybe he hides all evidence and after some spiralling convince himself that it’s fine he’s Batman he needs to stay Batman so he’ll just put this behind himself and pretend it never happened, it was just one time it’s fine, but then one of his kids unearths some piece of footage or something and demands why the rules don’t apply to him, why he can keep on working and isn’t a threat despite being a killer yet Jason always gets shit for even knocking someone out. And mayybe one of the other batkids recently killed in self defence too, and Batman was lecturing them because ‘there’s always another option’ and how they shouldn’t be out in the field if they put civilians at risk, when Jason or Babs or someone calls him a hypocrite and it spirals from there…

Ooh ~ I like how you added the element that Bruce didn't mean to kill them. He never actually made that choice.

Despite Bruce's steadfast rules against killing, the man has killed before. Imma link an article here so y'all can look into it. Basically, pre-Robin Batman (or his beginning years as the caped crusader) used to have no issue with killing. This storyline was changed so that he had never killed at all, but it is interesting to ponder. He has made kills since his character insisted he has and never will kill, though. Some of the ones listed are alternative universes or times he was sure his enemy would survive despite their situation seeming to depict otherwise.

Therefore, it's not a stretch to say he would or has killed. There's some fics that examine the hc that Bruce DID kill someone (or multiple people) in that pre-Tim era and repressed/denied the hell out of that notion. Extending that out to other circumstances would cool af.

Anyways, let's look at this AU specifically!

The three reactions Bruce can have about this are:

The mentally healthy one of coming to terms and accepting this kill

Hide all of the evidence, spiral, and try to justify it to himself while remaining a hypocrite

Repress the fuck out of his memories (including killing, hiding the evidence, and anything else surrounding it) to deny it happened

The first one has opportunities for good dad Bruce where he communicates with actual words to his kids that he'd rather they come home alive. Great hurt/comfort for that route.

The second one is full throttle fuck Bruce. He's a hypocrite who berates the others for their choices in the field, reacts explosively to them even hinting at murder, and overall no one (including Bruce) is having a good time.

The third one has four options:

Bruce is obv not mentally well. He can receive help, come to terms, and eventually end up as good dad

He keeps denying despite how much evidence is proven otherwise, causing him to spiral and jeopardize his relationships.

He eventually accepts what happens but is steadfast that HIM doing so is fine. He won't excuse that behavior for anyone else regardless of the circumstances

After acknowledging the kill, he creates a self-fulfilling prophecy with his belief that even one death will cause him to spiral into madness and mass murder. There would be many clues that he could stop from becoming a monster, but he simply doesn't due to his ideas that one death is too far

The last one could bring lots of angst, especially for the person that forced Bruce to acknowledge the evidence and his kill :)

Maybe the fic can even force Alfred to be the one to put Bruce down for good :)

There are also fics that consider what Bruce's reactions and what the rest of the batfam would do if someone who's sworn off killing ends up killing someone (particularly on accident or in self-defense). There's either good dad Bruce who apologizes for ever giving the impression that killing in self-defense is wrong (when there's no other choice) or bad dad Bruce who goes nuclear.

This has absolutely nothing to do with Bruce killing someone, but this is a rant about Bruce's moral code:

For once, I'd kill for an ACAB Batman because cops kill, and that goes against his moral code. A simple math of murder = wrong, so therefore cops (who don't swear off ever killing again) are an entire group he's against the same as he's against gangs.

He's criticized the batfam, some JL members, anti-heroes, villains, etc. for their choices regarding murdering for justice. Are there any fics or instances in canon where he basically says "fuck the police" because they do kill? Not him stating that GCPD is corrupt, but him fully disparaging the entire profession/institution due to the allowance it gives in murdering. He could go on one of his rants about judge, jury, and executioner. He could chat about power dynamics, morals, police training, checks and balances, insufficient evidence gathering before execution, innocents killed, etc.

Where the fuck is ACAB Bruce? Give me reluctantly working with Jim despite his hatred of cops. Give me him stating he likes Jim as a person and his notion of changing shit from the inside, but Bruce (as someone who is legit working outside the law and policies in place) doesn't think it's possible to change enough. Give me Bruce debating whether his role of working with the legal system is doing harm.

If Bruce has black and white perspectives on murder, let him have it about everything.

Every year without fail I will: 1. Realize artfight is coming up again only bc my dash over various websites explodes with team cards and then I go: "oh shit, gotta prepare refs". As if my brain can only compute 1 or 2 weeks ahead at most. You'd think 2 weeks are plenty of time to still get all the stuff sorted and ref sheets done right? Wrong. 1 week crunch time between attack to get that stuff sorted out because 2 weeks obviously is too little time after all I need at least three nevermind all the months in between that were free and available to do all that nah, nah.. before being alerted to AF starting up again July does not exist apparently and after AF concludes all the other months equally do not exists I am in the void doomed to timeloop through the same process each year girlfailure style.

2. Bookmark like crazy and then despair bc mathematically the amount of booksmarks cannot be realized as artworks in a singular month but does that stop me? No. I will try anyway. (it never works out for me ever but I learn nothing I will go ham on it like a woman on a mission)

3. Due to memory problems and a lack of idk... object permanence? Mental blindness? I will realize somewhen around this time too, that I might have said to myself last year: "I will comment on this defense for me a lil later when I am less exhausted" and forgotten to follow suit with that plan. Cue the internal crisis of "should I comment fashionably super late on this or simply not engage at all at this point bc commenting now feels even ruder" but not saying anything at all is even worse and flipflop on that anxiously for a couple of days and there is a good chance it might slip my mind again. 4. So I follow my crazy bookmark system religiously and forget that other people can and will attack during AF and suddenly I have a piece I need to revenge on and that flips my entire system over. I do indeed simply forget this is a thing. Gets me every time. I just wanna throw art at people can u maybe wait with throwing back I have a system ahhhhhh.

|No Mercy Rants| Rant post: Profily, the puppeteer and hiding from the truth

Anyways, hello, lads, lassies, fellow letter mafiosos and attack helicopters, since this is my THIRD rant on this blog, I decided to make a series out of it called the ‘No Mercy Rants’, which is a play on Undertale’s ‘No Mercy Run’. Now, to stop myself from further digressing, I’ll put in a disclaimer. (I know that PAF was done to death at this point, but bear with me- T^T)

(Disclaimer: This rant will be discussing topics of harassment and theft. If you’re not a fan of these topics, then please click off and view something else. Do NOT harass anyone mentioned, as I don’t want yous to stoop to PAF’s level. All of the testimony is screenshotted with the users’ consent.)

Now, the next one on the chopping block is @profily-and-friends, which I’ll refer to as PAF for short. So, let’s start from the beginning. In around August, 2023 (I was on my summer holidays, btw-), PAF had started posting several artworks that have been stolen from Twitter (or X, as Elon Musk puts it. Such an eejit-), Deviantart, Tumblr, and other sites. Somewhere around that time, maybe later, @knighttobreath, a user on Tumblr, started the spree of crediting the stolen art to their respective artists. This is where the drama and the beef began…

Now, a few months later, @akalikestodraw, a mutual of mine, was harassed multiple times by PAF because she ‘allegedly stole her art’. Now, take note that this is false, and that Aka has made amazing artwork on her own. She was also accused of tracing artworks. There’s also been asks sent to other users, like @justapplenothinghere, @galaxy-brushs-posts, and many other users, telling them to cancel Aka. Fortunately, no one took the steps to cancel Aka. They instead supported her. PAF told @wowwzaaxei-aster, that Aka was deactivating her account (also false). I’ve interviewed Aka on the matter, and she sees this as them trying to pin the blame on her. All of this had happened on her birthday. (Wow, that’s a shitty way to celebrate one’s bday… ) This whole thing made Aka, and her partner worried, and I’d be worried too, if I was in her place.

Another sin that PAF has committed was the harassment of other artists, requesting them to draw Profily with multiple asks, presumably using alternative or burner accounts, otherwise known as ‘sock puppets’. For some unfortunate artists who fulfil said requests are met with harsh criticism from PAF that they drew Profily ‘incorrectly’. They even get upset when their request is ignored, spamming the artists’ inboxes. I’ve seen them and their sock puppets interact with some of my posts, and the only criticism that I had from them was asking where were the other algebraliens when I made the Eight as Sans post. (In my defence, I was lazy af, and I had school shit going on).

Now, another thing I’d like to mention is that they’ve tried to cancel @talkingteardrop, another mutual of mine. There was a conversation between PAF and their sock puppets about how TD was ‘allegedly racist’, (another false claim) because they ignored PAF (I smell insane troll logic here-). They even claimed that they and TD were ‘best friends’, which they weren’t. (That pissed me off the most, as assholes in my school claimed that they were my friends, even though they’re not.)

Now, as the drama goes on, it becomes even more apparent that PAF is a manipulative puppeteer who’ll harass others to get what they want. They actively hide from the truth and tries to bend the narrative as to how they see it. Their actions have real life impacts, as it has made people feel terrible and having anxiety about going on with their business.

With that said, “What the fuck do we do now..?” Welp, for starters, block every single alt and sock puppet PAF has and report them all for harassment and art theft. Do NOT engage with them, just for your own mental health and to not waste your time and energy on them. (The fact that they use sock puppets reminds me of ZR0finix).

Make sure to drink plenty of water, get plenty of sleep and stay determined, lads. It hurts me to see that people like PAF are making this much trouble in our little community on Tumblr. (I guess my work on rants will never be done-)

7. Do they wish they lived before the war / could go back to life before the war?

Watching Pre-War movies with James or Jonas always had her wondering what life would be like before the war, and not being stuck inside a Vault. She loved all of the pretty dresses the women wore, the music, and how "lively" everything seemed, but that's pretty much it!

13. What is the most frightening experience they have endured?

I can name a few!

One, that first damn Deathclaw encounter.

Two, Andale. Other than being absolutely revolted, she genuinely felt extremely alarmed and scared shitless when she sneaked inside the shed. (Serves her right for sneaking and breaking in, but her freak-radar was going off like crazy, and for good reason LOL)

And of course, her biggest full-blown panic attack was the night James left the Vault. Being suddenly woken up by Amata, and getting hit by the realization of everything scared the fuck out of her. As it would with anyone I think, but the fear of not knowing where your dad ran away to, or why. Plus, Luna always had this (possibly irrational) fear of disappointing James, which made the notion of him leaving and abandoning her even worse.

18. Do they have any disabilities, mutations, or implants / enhancements? Do they have any chronic illnesses?

VDS got her ass. No, she barely took her medication, and James being her dad did not stop her from lying about taking it 😭 She also has mild myopia, but she kind of stopped wearing glasses around age 15. She didn't appreciate those four-eyes comments LOL. It's not something that affects her that much, though. Other than that, I guess she also has the Ant Sight modification?

30. What decisions have they made or actions have they done that affect their canon wasteland? (Did they blow up Megaton, have they killed/spared any major characters, etc.)

This isn't much of an effect on the Wasteland canon, but also it kind of is?? But, the only one I can think of is her inability to fulfill Harold's wish. She simply couldn’t bring herself to kill him, and the idea that his existence might benefit the Wasteland got to her as well. However, she knew this decision was selfish on her part, and it was a really tough choice for her.

32. What is their go-to weapon or weapon class?

Luna loves her .44 Magnum and Sniper Rifleeee. She always tries her best to avoid upclose confrontation with anyone out there, so a good long-range scope is perfect. It also helps her see whatever is far away better! In the case of needing a super close-range (and I mean super close...) weapon, the Double-barrel shotgun is her favorite. She barely uses it, though. That shit is also loud as fuck... But it works!

33. What is their fight-or-flight response?

During her first few weeks, maybe months, out in the Wasteland, Luna would freeze up a lot of the times. Y'know, considering it's all a new, scary and fucked up environment. She was very panicky, but this also made her become hyper-aware of her surroundings, which would also come in handy. As for fight response, at least in the beginning, she would shoot aimlessly and freak out. That definitely means she got hurt a lot, but since then she's remembered what James and Jonas taught her on her 10th birthday, and ofc she's learned from her mistakes. Now, she tries her best to sneak and remain out of sight so she has better control of a situation.

34. What armor / clothing do they typically wear?

You'll usually see her with the armored Vault jumpsuit, or her Riley's Rangers armor. Luna tries her best to keep her Vault jumpsuit in one piece and clean (as clean as she can, anyway); it just means a lot to her. Fresh out of the Vault, she used to have her Tunnel Snakes jacket tied around her waist, too. Though, as the years go on, Luna would probably slowly stray away from wearing her jumpsuit.

35. Do they have power armor training? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Yes! Well, somewhat. Obviously, she was curious and asked Gunny to train her, but... lol. It's not like she ever uses it, or cared for it that much. She respects it, but she lives just fine without the need of power armor (lie). She also can't really sneak in that beast, so no thanks.
