Top 7 BEST Dragon Ball Transformations
Honorable mention: Yung King Piccolo
Does this count as a transformation?
Mecha Tao
Yup, the best villain in all of Dragon Ball also did this first.
Eat your heart out, Frieza.
Muscle Bottom Trunks
This is where Super Saiyan and its myriad iterations (including "SS2" and whatever you nerds call the version Goku and Gohan have when they emerge from the Room of Spirit and Time) would go, but I decided to choose just my favorite one instead.
I think this transformation has over half a dozen names: Super Saiyan Third Grade, Super Saiyan 1.5, Super Super Saiyan, Ultra Super Saiyan, lmao jesus christ, Power-weighted Super Saiyan, Power stressed Super Saiyan Bitch Super Saiyan, and somehow the list just keeps going on. But what I like most about it is that everyone can do it.
Well not the Super Saiyan part, you have to have a little bit of Saiyan in your brainpan to do that, but the getting big. Doing so makes you stronger, but also so much slower that the difference just doesn't matter (for those of you that just watch youtube videos, and don't read the fucking comic). Frieza is such a useless he/they thembo that he also mistook it for a legitimate transformation against Goku on Namek. Y'know, his 100% (this time for real guyz).
Golden Fuuureeeza
I railed against lazy recolors in my worst transformations list, but Frieza is the physical embodiment of sloth and affluenza. He was the strongest being in the universe by far barring an ancient alien prophecy for fucking decades. And what does he do with all that power? Well, ride around on a rascal scooter, of course, while sending endless swathes of Appule's to do his dirty work. Instead of lifting a finger for an hour and then being immortal FOREVER.
And that's why it works for me in all the ways Resurrection F didn't. He's supposed to be stupid and ostentatious. Dragon Ball Super writers, you're NOT.
Janemba
Frankly, this is the biggest glow up in Dragon Ball history. From lazy Buu clone to, well, admittedly a lazy clone of another great character. But he has a sword! And that moveset. And it's an actually good filler movie in which Hitler dies (again).
Just look at him
Legendary Super Saiyan
Why is greenish Super Saiyan soooooo coooool??? Well, I'll tell you why.
It's because it just is. Super Saiyan? Actually so cool. Green? Such a good color Victorian aristocrats were willing to kill themselves using a shade of it that contained arsenic. It was basically their version of Oceangate, but they all did it! We could only be so lucky nowadays. And the lore implications? Mmm, yeah. Yeah!
You see, in canon Goku did a little prophecy, but Toriyama can't help but be a great writer, so instead of just being the generic Chosen One a la every bad shonen we all know and love, he's not. He's just not. Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Trunks, baby Trunks, baby Goku, they all do it too. Turns out, Super Saiyan is something each and every Saiyan can do. And then filler happens, Broly shows up, and everyone sees that this is because he's the real Chosen Boy.
And he's green! And we all loved it so hard we got a quality version a century later in the form of Super Broly The Movie
Nice. That's history for you.
Great Ape
The OG. Look at this trendsetter. If this isn't the second best, what is? You're wrong.
Perfect Cell
It's perfect

Super Dragon Ball Heroes 33-36
I don’t think I’ve ever related to Goku more than I do right now.
We’re now in the “New Space-Time War” arc of Super Dragon Ball Heroes. The previous arc saw Fu become the King of the Demon Realm and create his own universe, and nobody really stopped him, so I assume this arc will just keep following that plotline. My main question is this: What was the Old Space-Time War? Or does “New Space-Time” refer to the new universe Fu created?
This arc is only eight episodes, and I’m only four episode in and it’s a complete trainwreck. Every few seconds someone else shows up and it’s either a mystery man in disguise, or a surprise cameo, or some other damn thing that doesn’t make any sense. We open with this dude looking out over the uninhabited Earth in the New Universe, but he doesn’t actually do anything.
Not far away, Goku is being chased through the empty West City by two spaceships. As he runs, he gets a message from Tokitoki City, where Trunks explains to him that Goku is currently inside the new universe Fu created, but it’s just a bad copy of Universe 7, which is why it has the same Earth and the same West City, but no people.
And somehow, the new universe and U7 are connected somehow. When Goku’s pursuers shoot at a nearby building, the same building in the real West City experiences the same damage.
As Trunks mulls this over, Xeno Pan tends to Xeno Goten and Xeno Gohan. So these four characters must have escaped the Universe Tree somehow. Since Goku was fused with Vegeta before he arrived in the new universe, it stands to reason that Vegeta is also in the new universe. That just leaves Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta unaccounted for.
This is dumb as hell. These two haven’t done jack shit in this whole series, so I don’t know why we’re wasting screen-time on them.
It turns out Cooler and Frieza were in those ships that were chasing Goku. When Goku flees the city to find a place to regroup, they ditch the ships and chase after him with their own power. But then some mysterious force stops them in their tracks and it’s...
... Hearts, who died in Episode 19. He explains that he was freed from Hell by Demigra, although he doesn’t seem to know who Demigra is. Hearts wants to team up with Goku to oppose Fu, since Hearts disapproves of the way Fu has been using the Universe Seed. Goku isn’t convinced, but he doesn’t have much choice, since Frieza and Cooler are still after him.
Goku manages to overwhelm Golden Frieza with Ultra Instinct, while Hearts seems to fight evenly with Golden Metal Cooler. I was going to point out that Hearts used to be a lot stronger than this, but he was using the Universe Seed to amplify his powers, so I guess it makes sense for him to be weaker now.
Then someone throws red Dragon Balls at Frieza and Cooler, and they get turned into rampaging maniacs. When Demigra released Hearts, he told him about this. They’re called “Dark Dragon Balls” and they can be used to turn warriors into berserkers. But before Goku and Hearts can deal with that...
... Broly shows up and attacks everyone, because of course he does.
This doesn’t bother the guy who threw the Dark Dragon Balls, though, since he only seems to want the fight to continue. If Broly wants to jump in uninvited, that’s fine with him.
Then the other mystery man that we saw before shows up and removes the Dark Dragon Balls from Frieza and Cooler, then he challenges Broly, and leads him away from Goku and Hearts. Goku asks Hearts who that guy is, and Hearts says that he tried to read his mind, but he couldn’t.
The Crimson Masked Saiyan withdraws as well, and Hearts gives Goku a senzu bean. He found it on this Earth, but since it restores Goku’s strength and stamina, he concludes that the copies of objects work the same way they do in the real world. So Hearts believes that the Dragon Balls of this Earth will work as well. He already has one of them, and Goku knows how to find the rest.
He finds the Dragon Radar in the Capsule Corp. building, but when he turns it on, he gets a reading from a second Dragon Ball directly overhead. I guess this is a different planet, but up here we find the Crimson Masked Saiyan forcing Vegeta, Cumber, and Turles to fight each other.
Vegeta’s been getting his ass kicked, because Cumber was always a handful, and Turles has eaten so much Tree of Might fruit that he’s got Radditz hair now.
Goku and Hearts show up to save Vegeta, and the Crimson Masked Saiyan turns Super Saiyan Pink, which immediately gives away that he’s just Goku Black. Why the mask, then?
While the Gokus fight, Turles infuses Vegeta with evil power and tries to convince him to be evil. I guess he and Cumber are in cahoots now? I don’t understand this.
Vegeta struggles against this energy, and he has a flashback montage of various key moments like when he killed Nappa and massacred that Namekian villiage, and when he died to Frieza and watched Goku fight Kid Buu. At last he goes into action, and Turles realises that Vegeta has somehow taken control of this “evil” power.
He whoops Turles’ ass and explains that evil is not the true nature of the Saiyans. Rather, the true nature of their people is to keep fighting, and to strive for greater strength. Cumber sees Vegeta riding high and he wants to take him on...
So Vegeta whoops Cumber’s ass too. Hell yeah! It’s about time they gave Vegeta a hero moment in this series.
Vegeta Galick Guns Cumber and his mask falls off. Cumber salutes Vegeta for turning the evil aura into his own power without succumbing to its corruption, and then he passes out. Fuck yeah!
Vegeta tells Turles to get stronger and challenge him again sometime if he’s got the stones. I think that challenge is open to Cumber too, but he’s too busy sleeping off the last beating he took.
But Black has defeated Goku, and when Vegeta turns his attention to him, he learns Black’s backstory. Of course, the Goku Black we know fused with the other Zamasu and their merged form was erased by Grand Zeno, then they somehow came back to life and got killed by Hearts. This Goku Black is different. He’s from some other timeline or dimension or whatever, and Fu found him before he could go on to be defeated and warned him of his fate.
To avoid that impending defeat, this Goku Black traveled through different timelines, defeating one Goku after another. The Goku he’s beaten just now is his 100th victory, and he declares that he now has achieved complete mastery of his body.
Vegeta tries to stop him, but his new power-up quits on him, and Black observes that he hasn’t fully mastered it yet. But before Black can take advantage of this...
“Bitch, you thought--”
Yeah, Goku’s back in Ultra Instinct, and he just demolishes Black. This web anime has a lot of flaws, but I’ll give it credit for doing what Dragon Ball Super was too cowardly to do. SDBH actually lets good guys clobber the shit out of Zamasu and Black. And it’s incredibly satisfying to watch, because one of the things that made the Zamasu Saga so shitty was that Goku and the others would attack and attack and Black and Zamasu would just no-sell all of it and keep smirking like assholes. Not in Super Dragon Ball Heroes, though. Jiren beats up Zamasu, Hearts kills Zamasu, and not Goku eats Black’s lunch with Ultra Instinct.
So Black withdraws, realizing that if this Goku can improve, then he must still have some work to do before he’s ready to carry on with his agenda. But to dispense with the others, he fires a blast at the planet to destroy it... wait, is that the Vengeance Cannon? Fuck you, Goku Black, that’s a Luffa move! I’ll sue! I’ll sue every Kai in Universe 10, you plagiarizing piece of shit!
Hearts picks up Cumber because he still wants to work with the guy, so all four them can escaper together, except Goku can’t teleport because there’s no ki signatures for him to lock on to. Remember, this universe is uninhabited, so there’s almost no one around. But then--!
Awwww yeah!
Awwwwwwwwwww yeeeeeeeeeeeeah! It’s Cell, everybody! This is automatically the best arc in the series!
Black tries to kill them before Cell can do anything, but Turles blindsides him first, and it looks like Black kills Turles, but while he’s busy doing that, Cell gets everyone out of there.
So back on... Earth, I guess? The uninhabited Earth in this New Universe, I mean. Cell explains that the same guy who freed Hearts from Hell also freed Cell. I guess Demigra arranged all of this to get Goku some reinforcements for the battle against Fu. All I know for certain about Demigra’s role in this is that he’s opposed to Mechikabura’s Dark Empire, and so he would be equally opposed to Towa’s plot to revive the Dark Empire with Fu as Mechikabura’s successor. As to why he would turn to Cell for help, well... Demigra’s got excellent taste, what else can I say?
Look at how pissed these two idiots are. “Tell us why you saved us, Cell!” When Hearts offered to team up with Goku, he was confused, but accepted his help. When he recruited Frieza for the Tournament of Power, Goku was at least cordial with the guy. But Cell? Fuck all that. They hate Cell, and they should. Cell kicked both their asses, and he killed Goku and then he killed Vegeta’s son. He’s not some guy you can work with like Frieza. Cell’s a weapon, and all he does is pick targets to attack. All he cares about is how much fun he’ll have in the process. Goku and Vegeta see this guy and they know he can’t be trusted.
Goku’s like “You want to throw down, is that it?” and Cell doesn’t reject that possibility. Oh, he’ll get to that, but first he needs to explain some stuff, I guess, but before he can do that...
... Well, I guess some other asshole shows up, but we don’t even get to see this one, so I guess we’ll have to wait until next time to find out what’s going on. That’s okay, because Cell’s back, everyone.

I was talking to my buddy about an old post of mine where I said I want more Dragon Ball movie villains to come back and get either movies or small arcs dedicated to them and building up the non-Goku/Vegeta cast, and we came up with a few new ideas
Dr. Wheelo works as a recurring antagonist, as he can be a good excuse for multiple older concepts to be revisited. To start off, he enhances Tao Pai Pai to be a viable threat, giving Tien a good opponent with some personal significance. Yamcha may also be there to fight Wheelo himself, but it does seem like they're pushing Yamcha to just be a normal guy, so maybe not. Could also be a fun way to revisit Launch if we have a Tien-focused story
Androids 13, 12 and 11 are then brought back by Wheelo to fight 17, 18 and Gamma. When 13 goes Super Android by absorbing his teammates, Hedo finds a way for the good Androids to power up without absorbing each other. Wheelo has also upgraded himself since fighting Yamcha, giving Krillin an opponent for the arc
Bio-Broly is Wheelo's last creation, which would give Broly a reasonably strong enemy to fight without shoehorning him into any of the other villains' stories. It could also serve as a fun way to have DBS Broly fight an approximation of DBZ Broly, as he could reuse the old design with some tweaks
Tapion's return and training with Trunks causes a rift between him and Goten, which ultimately results in Trunks being too powerful for the two of them to perform Fusion anymore. After Trunks and Tapion defeat Hirudegarn with minimal help from Goten, Goten goes off on his own for a while to become a stronger fighter in his own right
Bojack then becomes an antagonist for Goten specifically, allowing for a more accurate recreation of Teen Gohan vs. Bojack now that Gohan has aged out of the part. Goten's new power differentiates him from Trunks significantly, and makes their fusion in the next arc they appear in more notable as it will combine their new disparate traits instead of just doubling up on Saiyan traits
Garlic Jr., similarly, becomes an antagonist for Pan to parallel how he was defeated by kid Gohan without the need to rescale him too much. However, if we don't want Pan to have a major win this early, we could have Pan fight his first form and then use his power-up to explore Gohan's Beast form and possibly get some insight into Orange Piccolo, since Garlic is inherently related to Piccolo's backstory
Lord Slug, then, further expands on whatever hints we get about Piccolo by having an Orange form of his own, perhaps a mastered or elevated version of it with more unique traits. Given that Piccolo is a merging of Warrior- and Dragon-clan Namekians, perhaps it could have two modes and we've only seen the Warrior-mode. Potentially more interesting, Piccolo could need to overcome Slug's Orange form by finding King Piccolo's soul in Hell and taking on his Demon-clan abilities, truly making him a mix of all forms of Namekian. This would also be a good time to give the Orange form a real name
Turles is still introduced as a Universe 6 Saiyan, interrupting Vegeta training Cabba (+Caulifla and Kale), but now that Ultra Ego has been introduced, Vegeta clearly outmatches Turles, so he uses it as an opportunity for Cabba and co. to grow. Cabba takes out form 1 and Kefla handles form 2, but form 3 is too much for them, so Vegeta steps in with Ultra Ego, giving him some much-needed shine
Cooler still fights Frieza and shows us how the Fifth Form can potentially be differentiated from the Golden and Black forms, but mostly just serves as a way to elaborate on what Black can do before having Frieza fight Goku and Vegeta again
Janemba fights Buu, as I said before, but this time instead of serving as a jumping-off point for Uub, he actually serves as a way for Buu and Mr. Satan to work off each other; Janemba is a very tricky opponent, and Buu isn't particularly intelligent, but Mr. Satan is surprisingly smart and a competent martial artist (for a non-ki using human), so Mr. Satan could be helping Buu to read Janemba's fighting style and give him an edge, proving that Mr. Satan isn't the burden to the rest of the cast that he thinks he is
Baby would serve as a culmination of all of the Saiyan's arcs specifically, with all of the special forms and abilities found by Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Pan and Broly being put on full display against their natural enemy
The Shadow Dragons would serve a similar function, but for the cast as a whole.
Syn/Omega would probably be similar to his original incarnation, with Goku and Vegeta working together and ultimately being defeated by Goku using a Universal Spirit Bomb, but all of the other Dragons would be fought by the rest of the cast.
Haze, as the weakest, would probably be reserved for the human cast - Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, etc. His energy-draining abilities would definitely be a challenge for them, and would require that they be more inventive in how they beat him than other characters likely would be
Eis was created by a wish involving Buu, so I'd enjoy seeing Buu and Uub team up against him, possibly leading to the creation of Majuub
Nuova, along the same lines, was created by King Piccolo's wish, so putting him against Piccolo and Gohan would work really well
Rage, being electrical in nature, could be a fun enemy for the Androids
Oceanus doesn't really have an obvious thematic enemy, but since the fight against her originally was the only one to actually introduce new characters (Colm and his village), using them as a connection to Pan would be a good way to give her more involvement in the arc
Naturon, as one of the eviler Dragons, would be a good enemy for Goten and Trunks to fight since they fancy themselves heroes. His possession ability could also be used to force them to fight each other
Other characters, like villains introduced in Dragon Ball Heroes, could also be canonized and used as a way to show off the newly gained powers, but the ultimate villain would almost definitely be Frieza since he keeps getting stronger and stronger and we've already seen him forced to team up with Goku. I'm sure new characters will continue to be introduced too, like Moro and the Heeters, and none of this even considered how Granolah might contribute to the plot going forward, but my main goal here was to focus on classic characters. I do like Granolah, though, so I hope they find reasons to bring him back somewhere in there too. Maybe he'll be involved in the Baby arc since the Tuffles and Cerealians are both victims of the Saiyans, so there may be good reason to reintroduce him in that arc
I'm willing to bet that basically none of this will happen, and that Toriyama will want to focus more on the new and will continue not to worry about the extended cast, but in my world, Dragon Ball utilizes its existing cast as much as humanly possible
If I'm only right about one of these, I honestly hope it's Cooler

Dragon Ball FighterZ is one of the most popular fighting games developed by Arc System Works and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Story: The story of the game revolves around Android 21, a new character designed specifically for this game in collaboration with Akira Toriyama. The story is about the cloning of Dragon Ball Z fighters and the confrontation of the original fighters with Android 21 and her cloned followers. The story is divided into three parts, each focusing on a different group of characters:
The first arc: The Super Warriors arc: Focuses on heroic characters such as Goku and Vegeta. Arc 2: Villains Arc: deals with the stories of villains such as Frieza and Cell. Arc 3: Android 21 Arc: revolves around the story of the new character Android 21.
The story is used as a basis to present the dramatic and combat events between the characters, while maintaining the spirit of the original anime.
Gameplay: Dragon Ball FighterZ is a three-character fighting game. This means that you choose three fighters to form a team, and you can switch between them during battles. Each fighter has his own set of moves and a distinct fighting style, which adds strategic depth to how the team is formed and how the characters are used during combat.
Key combat features include:
Simple and fun controls: While the game contains complex fighting moves, it also offers an easy system for new players, so that they can easily perform special moves with simple button presses.
Switching to Super Mode: You can collect energy to perform powerful finishing moves such as Goku's Kamehameha or Vegeta's Final Flash. These moves reflect iconic moments from the anime. Switch fighters: You can call other fighters from your team to help you fight or replace them to avoid damage.

Graphics and audio: The game is designed in a 2.5D style, as the characters and environments are three-dimensional, but the fighting takes place in a two-dimensional environment. The graphics are amazing and greatly reflect the anime style. Every movement and every visual effect stands out wonderfully and makes you feel like you are watching an episode of "Dragon Ball".
Sound effects and soundtrack add to the immersive experience. Sound effects have been set to perfectly match every strike and every transformation, in addition to using the original voice actors from the anime in both Japanese and English.
Characters: The game contains a huge group of characters, some taken from "Dragon Ball Z" and others from "Dragon Ball Super". Among the most famous characters available in the game:
Goku: The main hero of the series with his multiple personalities, including Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan God, and Ultra Instinct. Vegeta: Goku's traditional opponent, and has many advanced forms such as Super Saiyan Blue.
Frieza: The legendary enemy with his unique abilities that include transforming into Golden Frieza.
Gohan, Piccolo, Trunks, and Majin Buu are among the other distinctive characters.
The game also contains additional content (DLC) that adds new characters such as Broly, Jiren, and Gogeta, ensuring greater diversity in gameplay and fights.

Multiplayer: Dragon Ball FighterZ offers an excellent multiplayer mode, whether online or through local play. Players can compete against each other in individual battles or in group tournaments. The game also offers an online ranking system, where you can climb the rankings by defeating other players.
Reception and ratings: Dragon Ball FighterZ has received wide acclaim from critics and players alike. Many consider it one of the best fighting games of the last decade due to its smooth gameplay and attractive design. It has also been praised for its compatibility between professional and novice players, making it accessible to everyone.
The game has won several awards and has been nominated in many events for the best fighting game of the year. Its popularity has also led to it being part of international tournaments such as EVO.

Conclusion: Dragon Ball FighterZ is a major achievement in the world of fighting games, and it offers an exciting experience for fans of the series and fighting game enthusiasts alike. Aleph Nulls (An idea for CallmeARJ)
Aleph Nulls are mortals who have surpassed the concept of divinity, which means that beings like Zen-Oh cannot erase them. They are on a completely different plane of existence and therefore cannot be surpassed by the gods. Only mortals have the ability to become Alephs, anyone who becomes a god loses the chance to become an Aleph Null.
Aleph Null is also the name for the smallest level of infinity. Which also means it is the weakest level of a transcended being. With the highest level being Tav Null, which is what E.O.S. Rimuru is.
Vegito is a Bet Null, which is an even higher level of transcended being.
Aleph Null Goku (Alias: Shirou/Gin):
This version of Goku is 100 million years after the events of Dragon Ball UV.
Aleph Null Vegeta (Alias: Kuro/Kurai):
This version of Vegeta is 100 million years after Dragon Ball UV
Goku and Vegeta are now permanently in Mastered Ultra Instinct and Mastered Ultra Ego, using it as their base forms.
Of course, the power of this Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego is incomparable to the current Goku and Vegeta, they are far stronger than the grand priest in their new base forms.
They also have halo's behind their heads which they can hide at will, Goku's a beautiful white and silver color.
While Vegeta's is Black and Red and is separated into three parts showing Vegeta's more demonic nature.
Goku's outfit is heavily inspired by Whis', it is a testament to Goku's respect for his master. He also uses Whis' staff like Vegito does.
Vegeta's outfit however isn't a testament to his master, Beerus, but instead a mockery of a god of destruction. Kind of like how Super Saiyan Rose was a mockery of Super Saiyan Blue and Golden Frieza was a mockery of Super Saiyan. Vegeta is insulting the Gods of Destruction by wearing this outfit, the cracks in the symbols show his hatred for Beerus and the other G.O.D's.
These are the strongest versions of Goku and Vegeta ever. But this is if Godkiller Vegito, Goku, and Vegeta never managed to bring back their families.

Interesting and yes, I can consider that! I know some people don't see the problem with super because they did not grow up with Dragon Ball and I understand. (I also think that many people who love super and/or hate on GT never watched the og Dragon Ball series/read the manga, and only briefly watched dbz, altough it's not always the case). The thing is, people who hate super don't just hate it because they grew up with Dragon Ball. It explains some of the hate but not all of it. And like, many people didn't grow up with Dragon Ball and still don't like super. So I do consider and understand this but to me it doesn't explain everything!
I really tried to like dbs, because I love Dragon Ball and genuinely wanted to enjoy a new Dragon Ball manga/anime series but... there are too many things wrong with super. The character designs are horrible, the animation is absolutely terrible, the entire series is so UGLY. All the characters are out of character and don't act like themselves. Super ruined a lot of the lore of Dragon Ball, too. And it ruined Gokū (I am still mad about this 😭). Like yes, Gokū has always been very, very naive and a bit of an idiot, but in super? He's deeply stupid in a way he never was, and it's very, very embarrassing. The series is painful to watch because of that to me. There are other flaws, too, like personally I hate how the gods and different universes are exploited, I find the ssj god, ssj blue, Gohan beast, orange Piccolo, and golden Frieza forms very lazy, I hate how Chichi is written, I hate how bad of a father and husband Gokū is in super, I hate how super ruined almost every single character developpment (like why is Vegeta still obsessed with beating Gokū while he accepted in the manga/Dragon Ball Z that Gokū is stronger than him and was at peace with it?) and last but not least, I hate how easy it's been for the Sayans of Universe 6 to turn ssj and ssj2.
Anyway, sorry for the long reblog, I just wanted to explain the dbs hate, at least in my point of view. Super had a lot of potential but I think it mostly just ended up being bad and ruining a lot of the lore, despite some veryyyy good moments and ideas (like the "my bulma!!!" scene, the Ultra Instinct scene, Black Gokū as a vilain or the first female ssj!!!)
dragon ball gt has flaws but is a very good series, dragon ball gt is logical has a sequel to dragon ball (z), and above all dragon ball gt is way better than dragon ball super will ever be (despite some very good things in dragon ball super). i will defend this opinion even harder than my political opinions until i die lol
