What are 3 symptoms of stomach cancer?
Tumblr media
Stomach cancer can manifest through various symptoms, with three primary ones being abdominal pain, unexplained weight loss, and difficulty swallowing. Abdominal pain, often felt in the upper abdomen, can persist and present as pressure, aching, or sharp sensations.
Unexplained weight loss, particularly a sudden drop in weight without changes in diet or exercise, can be a warning sign. Difficulty swallowing, known as dysphagia, may occur, especially if the tumor is located near the junction of the esophagus and stomach, making swallowing uncomfortable or painful. These symptoms, while associated with stomach cancer, can also indicate other health conditions, underscoring the importance of seeking medical advice for proper evaluation and diagnosis.

usually if I check my temperature while having bad chills where my skin feels warm to the touch to me it'll only be like 99° which isn't like a real fever but still an increase from my normal so it makes sense to feel feverish then.. I'm not using feverish to mean just very cold and shivering there's a difference you can feel even without running a real fever -_- but past couple days I get chills and it's like just 96° 😑 actually sort of low at least for me idk.. normally it's really unbearably hot in my room because the ac kind of doesn't reach my room so I can't stand even wearing pants in here but I slept with a sweater and hood pulled over my head last night -.- irs like 80 degrees at night....

Unveiling Vascular Ulcers: A Guide to Causes, Symptoms, and Solutions
Chronic wounds like vascular ulcers can be a significant health concern, especially for individuals with poor circulation. These slow-healing sores are more than just a skin problem—they signify deeper vascular issues that require medical attention. At Surat Diabetic Foot & Ulcer Clinic, we aim to provide patients with the knowledge and care they need to address and prevent these ulcers.
Tumblr media
This article explores what vascular ulcers are, their warning signs, and effective ways to treat and manage them, empowering readers to make informed decisions about their health.
The Basics of Vascular Ulcers
Vascular ulcers are chronic wounds that develop due to poor blood flow in veins or arteries. They often occur on the lower legs and feet, with their severity varying based on the underlying vascular condition. Two main types of vascular ulcers exist:
Venous ulcers: Caused by damaged vein valves that lead to blood pooling in the legs.
Arterial ulcers: Result from restricted blood flow in arteries due to blockages or narrowing.
At Surat Diabetic Foot & Ulcer Clinic, we specialise in identifying and treating these ulcers with a patient-centric approach, offering personalised care for long-term healing.
How Vascular Ulcers Affect Daily Life
Living with a vascular ulcer can significantly impact physical and emotional well-being. Common challenges include:
Pain and discomfort: Particularly with arterial ulcers, which can throb even at rest.
Restricted mobility: Swelling and pain can limit movement, reducing overall activity.
Prolonged healing times: Without proper care, these ulcers can take weeks or months to heal.
A delay in seeking vascular ulcer treatment can lead to complications such as infections, tissue loss, or even amputation. Recognising these impacts is the first step toward effective management.
Spotting the Signs of Vascular Ulcers
Early detection of vascular ulcers can make a significant difference in recovery. Warning signs include:
Discoloured skin around the wound (red, brown, or purplish hues).
Visible swelling in the legs, particularly in venous ulcers.
Non-healing sores that may ooze or scab repeatedly.
Cold, pale skin in arterial ulcers is due to reduced blood flow.
If you notice any of these signs, consult a vascular specialist for ulcers. Seeking expert help early on ensures the best possible outcomes.
Addressing the Root Causes
The development of vascular ulcers often stems from:
Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI): Damaged veins that hinder proper blood flow, leading to pressure buildup and skin breakdown.
Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD): Reduced arterial blood flow due to blockages or narrowing of vessels.
Diabetes: A common contributor, as elevated blood sugar damages blood vessels and delays healing.
A thorough evaluation by specialists like those at the Surat Diabetic Foot & Ulcer Clinic helps pinpoint the exact cause, enabling tailored treatments.
Modern Approaches to Treatment
Effective vascular ulcer care combines medical expertise with advanced technologies. Treatment options include:
Wound management: Regular cleaning, debridement (removal of dead tissue), and application of appropriate dressings.
Compression therapy: Used in venous ulcers to improve blood circulation and reduce swelling.
Medication: Antibiotics for infections or medications to improve blood flow.
Surgical interventions: For severe cases, procedures like bypass surgery or vein repair may be necessary.
At Surat Diabetic Foot & Ulcer Clinic, our focus is on holistic vascular leg ulcer treatment in Surat, offering patients cutting-edge solutions for optimal recovery.
Proactive Measures for Prevention
Preventing vascular ulcers is often easier than treating them. Steps to reduce risk include:
Maintaining healthy circulation: Regular exercise, avoiding prolonged sitting, and elevating the legs can help.
Managing chronic conditions: Controlling diabetes and high blood pressure reduces the likelihood of ulcers.
Wearing compression stockings: These improve venous circulation, particularly in individuals prone to venous ulcers.
Preventive care is a cornerstone of our approach at the Surat Diabetic Foot & Ulcer Clinic, where we educate patients on maintaining vascular health.

shoutout to disabled and chronically people with symptoms that are seen as "gross" by the wider world. shoutout to people with digestive issues and illnesses. to people with problems with their stomachs or intestines or bladders or anything else. to people who struggle with vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, or anything else. to people who use diapers. to people with ostomy bags. to people who use the bathroom in other atypical ways. to people who have to collect stool samples for tests/labs. to people on rectally administrated medication. shoutout to people on liquid diets or other specific medical diets, to those with feeding tubes, to anyone with different needs regarding nutrition and hydration. shoutout to those who only sees their condition represented as something weird or gross, as something only talked about as the punchline of a joke.
shoutout to anyone who is afraid to talk about their lives, symptoms, or treatment to those around them for fear of being labeled "gross" or "weird" or "disgusting".
there is nothing wrong with you and you are just as worthy of existing and sharing your experiences as anyone else.

Physical symptoms rn are horrifying and worse than I’ve ever experienced. The ironic cruelty is directly before this started, I had a therapy session about how difficult it was to manage my pain and anxiety, and I finally had a breakthrough.
Then, within hours, proceeded to have the worst experience of symptoms I’ve ever had in my years of dealing with this mystery illness, had one of the worst emotional breakdowns I’ve ever experienced and the most acute suicidal ideation as a result.
I don’t know what to say. All hope feels lost.

God I'm so relieved, for context I've been having some pretty bad intestinal problems that are likely stress related for the last two months, it's been making me violently ill and any food I manage to eat isnt digested properly thus causing me to lose over 30lbs in just 2 months and upwards of 5 pounds every week, last week alone I lost 7 and I'm now underweight, I was able to get an urgent referral to see a GI specialist however after calling around for HOURS I discovered that the soonest every available specialist within 2 hours of my home can get me in, even with an urgent referral, is fucking june. So obv I started panicking bc my condition is escalating and I cant hold out for another 3 months i need to be seen NOW and the reason I'm immensely relieved is because I FINALLY found a specialist who said they can see me in 8 days I'm so happy you guys dont even know how relieved I am, I'm finally going to get this treated!!!!!!!! :D
