"In a world abandoned by the Gods ages ago, their absence robbed humanity of their powers, resulting in devastation and natural calamities, leaving only myths behind. The delicate harmony between the human realm and the world of magic that once existed thousands of years ago, has been gone for ages. Karolina, a young girl, stumbles upon an ancient secret that could change everything. As she embarks on a journey of discovery, she soon realizes that not all is as it seems."
Oriana, based on Slavic mythology and written by a queer, autistic, Ukrainian-Canadian is live on Kickstarter! Go check it out, maybe?

is there something wrong w me
Is there something just too annoying or grating about me the reason no one really clicks with me
Was it always like this or just too late by 2012
Could I have diverted to a good time line
In any case it doesn't matter bc it's too late now
It feels like it is
How can there be any future

We need need need to tell Ukrainian stories. Show stories from individual Ukrainians, show documentaries, show movies about the war. Because it is stories that will get to the hearts of people, if their hearts aren't made of stone.
Not just war but people's lives, the people who are lost-- show not only death but their lives-- feel the full force of what it is when a human being is killed. And show what suffering russia causes, what we can't allow to spread, not only the killing but the brutality of the occupation, the kidnappings, the torture.
Show human stories, help others feel what they feel, which will hopefully translate into support, help others truly understand this war and what's at stake by seeing from the Ukrainian perspective.

because you're a good person and they're they're.
Really, you're doing awesome just surviving, because it's an impossibly hard thing you're going through. No one else can fully understand. It is a thing that should not be.
I know I write a lot here about my emotions and feelings, about how painful it all is but I really can’t describe you this pain. Your heart hurts, eyes are burning from tears, hands are shaking. You delude yourself into thinking that everything is fine. But it isn’t and probably will never be. When you go to sleep thinking that you should really consider learning tactical medicine and join the army because you feel guilty. Guilty that people that were so much better than you are dead. They were killed by russians. You hate being surrounded only by negative emotions, you hate thinking about daily life problems when your people are dying. You hate choking on tears every day. You hate seeing symbols when they are not there. You hate russians being all happy in Europe not feeling the guilt you feel. It’s not my country that attacked another country, it’s not my soldiers raping and slaughtering civilians - why I feel worse than they do?

it's so deeply stupid to me the way ukrianian names get "translated" into russian, some romanian guy named alexandru doesn't suddenly become alessandro in italy, why the fuck is dmytro dmitriy all of a sudden, oftentimes they're not even remotely similar phonetically, try explaining to a person who isn't familiar with slavic names how mykola and nikolai are the same name akshually, it doesn't even track.

Slava Ukraini
Tumblr media
I just had to block a user, because they continued to attack me in my blog comments with Russian slurs for Ukrianians and also argued that, as the Moscow fascists claim, Ukrainian is not a "real language", in this case because they "can't play Sims in Ukrainian". As a Swede I am really honored to be seen as Ukrainian. Same pretty flag colors! We are all Ukrainians. And I stand firmly on the side of Ukrainians defending us all from the evil.

hello, hope you've had a lovely day! i wanted to ask, how do you choose colours for your works? that is one of the things i struggle with the most — staring at a sketch and not knowing how to colour it — and everything you make always has such a nice pallete ❣️
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hello friend. my main references for coloring are ukrainian folk art, old ukrianian book illustrations, as well as old fantasy & sci-fi. perhaps you should study what color schemes and uses you like in other people's works and implement them in your art :] i also like to toggle curves in procreate, so if you use that program too you can try playing with that. or whatever the equivalent is in your program! and thank you for the kind words i appreciate it <3

It's actually hilarious how there are so many ruzzian accounts that make it their mission to claim Ukrainian culture as their own. And I mean full out accounts with so many followers who put in time and effort to do this.
And it's also the funniest when dumb ruzzians use Ukrainian culture and are at aw of it without realizing, or even wanting to realize, that it's actually Ukrainian and not theirs.
Like ruzzians are so fucking stupid that for centuries they were making stories about Ukraine using Ukrianian historical figures and personas and calling it ruzzian. Like no, hun, that's Ukrainian. Bogatyr? That's Ukrainian. I know they love them so much and make a lot of shit with them in it but it doesn't change the fact that it's still Ukrainian. They are hailing Ukrainian culture.
And I also find it sad how some Ukrainians don't know this and attempt to abandon our culture. Ruzzians are obsessed with Ukraine and our culture and identity to the point they will make so much fanfiction surrounding our culture and pretend as if it is theirs. Like use just one braincell and it will become hilariously obvious how they base their entire identity on Ukraine.
Dear Ukrainian bothers and sisters, stop being meek. Take back what is ours loudly and proudly. Don't shy away from using ruzzian creators work and calling it Ukrainian, because it is. Show the world how obsessed they are with us.
