Are you not sure of who to call or what to say?

Go to 5calls.org and put in your zip code. It'll bring up a list of your representatives, their phone numbers, a list of issues you might want to contact them about, and a suggested script for what to say.

Most of the time, you're gonna get voicemail. Leave a message. Leave your name and full address so they count you. You don't have to say anything long, just say what you want your representative to do and then hang up.

If you really want to make an impact, call again the next day. And the next day. The people who answer the phones and go through the messages don't transcribe the whole message, they mostly just give the rep a report saying "You got this many calls for issue X, you got this many calls for issue Y." A lot of short calls makes more impact than one call with a long dramatic speech.

That being said, before I dive in the project, I’d like to know the general interest regarding the pieces I would put together so I can see if it’s worth it! I have significant experience in clothing design and hm production that I shall reveal with more transparency if the project happens.

whoever needs to hear this: if you got a disability, if you don’t know if you have something, if you ever think “it’s not that bad” if you have a thing about guilt, if you’re ill, Anything: listen. it is okay to throw things away.

you can throw it away. if it sucks and it stresses you the fuck out, if you just “need the right time to fix it” for the past 3 months. or years. if you loved it once upon a time but it makes you feel kinda weird and guilty now. if it’s a jacket youve reaaaally been meaning to mend and then donate. a jar of sauce that “all you have to do” is clean out to recycle but it’s been a week and now there’s a small colony growing in it. slowly shredding to bits fabric scraps you plan to use to fix something. busted picture frame. cracked mug. old shoes. extra box. an entire pack of granola bars that you hate so much but don’t want to waste.

life is already so goddamn difficult for us. i know you still care about recycling and the environment and sustainability. but it’s okay, i promise. sometimes you have to take care of your space. sometimes you have to cut your losses so you can actually have energy to recycle the next thing. get rid of the old shirt before it turns into a tornado pile of guilt under the bed. you’re not a bad person. you can throw this one away.

hiya. bit of a personal post here that's been a long time coming but

a while back now my younger sibling finally got an issue properly diagnosed as a lung disease and as such, she requires a double lung transplant - my family is asking for help through this gofundme page here. it'd mean the world to me if y'all help her out in one way or another, be it donating any amount or just reblogging this post around so that others might

a lil more detail on things under the cut

basically she'd had this persistent cough for a while and tho she'd gone to the doctor a few times about it, they wrote it off each time as allergies or something stupid without really looking at her - until a few months ago now when she finally went to urgent care, then to a proper emergency room and they discovered that her lungs were essentially ruined. idk if they ever discerned by what exactly but it doesn't really matter at this point as her breathing is heavily restricted and her heart is kinda working overtime

the good news is that she's been on oxygen for a bit and she's also on the waitlist for the transplant already - but the call for it can come at basically anytime between now and next year, meaning my family kinda has to stay ready at a moment's notice which is what this gofundme is for - to help them now, when the time comes, and afterwards, as the situation is as u can imagine very stressful and demanding of all of us, especially of her

but she's been brave, strong. and she hasn't deserved any of this, given just how good a person she is. how much she's tried to help others, to do for others, to keep our family together. I honestly have no idea how she's kept her smile up for as long as she has and I've struggled with making this post in large part bc of how paintful it's been to see her go thru that which she never asked for, that she truly doesn't deserve. she's struggled, it's been hard, but she's still going all the same

so I feel it my responsibility to at least try and help her out beyond the day to day odds and ends and perhaps use whatever audience I somehow have to lend her a hand as she needs it most. so again please if you are in a position where u can donate - consider dropping some at this link here, any amount helps right now and even if u can't, reblogging to get the word around would help a bit too

Oh, what is this? The first three chapters are now live and up on AO3? OMG...

I've yapped about my Jason and Harvey fic in the tags of my drawings for the past month, now I've written it. Some of it. Teehee.

It's not complete parental fluff like a lot of people were expecting I think, sorry... nope, I just threw these two assholes into a relatively simple plot that will sort of build that relationship. You might vibe with it, you might not, that's ok. ^^

tim drake who indulges in the niceties afforded to her by her status, because a girl should have a few frilly things if she pleases. tim drake who also still follows batman around at 7 years old, but does so in a dark princess mulan hoodie with her hair pulled back by a beaded hairtie and a batman hairclip she made herself.

tim drake who doesn't actually come out to her parents, because there's really no point when over the last few 4-day visits, few and far between, it's really their own fault that they didn't notice her transitioning while they were gone.

tim drake who becomes the first girl robin, who takes over drake industries as the first trans girl in that kind of position.

tim drake who baffles jason todd because the league's info was not up to date on the fact she's a girl, and neither was jason. she chases him out of the tower by taking advantage of his confusion.

tim drake who has to figure out how to be a big sister when damian comes around and finds it much easier than the idea of being a brother. tim drake who breaks damian's view of gender and manages to earn his begrudging respect and awe. (tim drake who teaches damian that maybe his own gender could be more flexible than he thought.)
