This time, talking about the sibs! In this, Sonia is the oldest (by several years), Sonic (formerly Nikki) is the middle child, and Scourge (formerly Manic) is the youngest.

Sonic was unhappy staying in Christmas Island, finding every moment dull and like he'd go insane. He sometimes talked to Sonia about it, but she always said he shouldn't do anything rash. When word got around about what was going on with West Side Island, Sonic decided to run away to West Side Island, with the intention of returning.

Sonic meets Tails in West Side Island, and starts going by Sonic, never going back to the name Nikki. He also starts going by masculine terms at this point.

Sonic hardly gets time to see his family because of everything Eggman does, and feels guilty for leaving them and lying to everyone.

Btw Manic is the last family member Sonic interacts with before leaving, so Manic feels responsible (so does Sonia tho)

Also btw, this is my only Sonic AU where he's trans, I just thought I should mention because people might think it's universal, and I don't want to clickbait

I just feel like it'd be interesting to look at, and try to figure out how to marry these real world concepts with the in-world assumptions implied or outright stated to be held by most people about Gnomes Specifically. my VERY SURFACE LEVEL understanding of real world Wanderers throughout various cultures and time periods is that they're often both mythologized and villainized; you know-- they'll sell you exotic wares and Read Your Fortune but watch out!! they'll also trick and swindle you, or curse you, or whatever. there's a general sense of distrust for outsiders of all stripes, even when there's also an allure to them, which dovetails neatly with 'felix is a nice boy but often tends to be met with distrust and dislike, when he isn't overlooked altogether.'

HOWEVER, there IS something to be said about the place GNOMES occupy in their world's general cultural views, where they're said to be quite uncommon out and about beyond their home communities, but are usually met with curiosity at worst, and generally liked. so-- what's the synthesis of those concepts look like? do we loop back to felix, personally, being Uniquely ostracized for having poor social skills in a way that people perceive as creepy or shifty? do strangers tend to treat him like a child? like a joke? like he ought to be a riddle-master and wonder-maker? and how does all of that intersect with his physical size-- how do people view and respect (or not) his personal space and bodily autonomy? with, again, nothing more than VERY surface level research, the way little people get treated in real fucking life is Buck Wild. and they don't even have real literal magic powers and their own separate (foreign/ weird) culture and language. you know? are you more or less likely to pick up and try to throw(!!) a complete stranger(!!!) if you think they might also know magic, which in theory is uncommon and mysterious for most common folk, and maybe scary? or if you believe they and everyone like them are merely friendly and harmless silly little fiddle-dee-dee leprechauns?

IT'S JUST-- [rolling around] IT'S JUST INTERESTING I JUST THINK MULLING OVER STUFF LIKE THIS IS INTERESTING!! and people always default to 'dnd is Generic Surface-Level English Medieval Fantasy and also All The Races Are Basically The Same,' but we're so rarely looking at real-world anthropology or sociology for inspiration even within the alleged 'medieval europe' framework, and it's a shame! nothing happens in a vacuum! cultures and material realities about the world connect and inform one another! don't you wanna explore some of that in a world where wizards and elves are real? don't you wanna play in the space with me??

I know you've said before that N likes watching his girlfriends smooch, but does Uzi like watching N and V smooch? Idk, she's got that kinda vibe to me but at the same time I can see it getting her worked up and then wanting to join in

N and V got closer to one another BECAUSE of Uzi and the general teasing and challanging they threw at eachother to get the upper hand lmao- Ns irritation with V turned into once again being flustered by her and Vs initial intrest of N came back slowly while seeing him actually put up a fight for something for once- literally the way to Vs heart would be being feisty back at her- thats how Uzi got into her head in the first place- shes just a bitey lil toaster that wouldnt go down without a fight.

but usually Uzi is the excitable type and couldnt keep herself from trying to join in- either being the middle or showering one of the others by putting them in the middle-

for V though its a different story- i think she prefers seeing the two the most lmao- sometimes its from lack of feeling physically affectionate and wants to just tag out of it for now, and sometimes its just cuz she likes the view- either way she probably sits the most on the sidelines to watch the other two- in some cases she also sits back to support Uzi as a bit of a guide for N to not overwhelm or accidentally pressure her- she loves being a little rough but she knows she needs to control herself a bit so she sits out- though this usually doesnt work as she is either dragged in or she just cant resist being left out on the fun~<3

Hoho, a question regarding Wukong’s reactions to Mac and his kid. As much as I would love to be detailed with this, that would be spoilers hehe. But I could give a bit of insight!

As much as Macaque wants to keep everything a secret, things will eventually come to light in an unfortunate timing. So Wukong’s reaction to Ascharya, uhhh, let's just say the reaction will depend on if he also knows who the kid’s other blood-related parent is. Putting aside all the possibilities of angsty dialogue, I would like to imagine Wukong’s reaction would be pretty hilarious 😆 he probably would malfunction HAHA
