#replying in the tags because i wanna and you also said stuff in the tags #i do wanna make it clear im NOT that smart about this. i do have stuff that has made me believe the things i do but like #im not a therapist im not a scientist or psychologist i dont know if the sources are perfectly accurate or whatever so #if you know more about the actual evidence and why one or more source might be bad you can debate that but i probably like #wont have much answer because i wasnt the psychologist who wrote that #i just notice that most symptoms of disorders are just human things brought up to a level 100 #and people acting like plurality is so special and different that its only seen in people with DID ignores so much #about how we categorize ourselves and the actually-quite-flexible standards of what it means to be one “self” or more than one “self”#and half of the “is systemhood real” is just philosophical opinions. you cant verify if someone is more than one self in a brain #unless you're actually a really good brain guy and have a logically defined basis for what a self Actually Is and theres like evidence of-#-separation or lack thereof and that stuff #alas i am not that smart #i just know of people having experiences similar to DID systemhood and that experiences of plurality is kinda common #and from the ongoing studies about tulpamancers i feel like the scientific consensus is “yeah theres people with multiple guys/selves”#“some are traumatized and they might need help for it. if its a culture thing tho and they dont feel distressed then good for them”#and the whole “we wanna learn more about these people” kind of thing #i think it would still be possible to make me believe that plurality is only a trauma based thing but like. i think that'd be kinda hard to #Prove for Certain without arbitrary criteria on what counts as a self and other and what counts as real vs made up #although someone probably could out there. not me tho-#this got long whoops. tags moment #you know tags are supposed to be for sorting and organization #but tumblr allows for VERY long tags. which is so funny #it'd be like writing essays in the “name” or “date” section of an essay #in some sense #anyway uhhh go drink some water and have your most favorite food if you've actually read all this #and watch robin seplut he's cool #i like his cat videos. they are very relaxing and just vibing #my arms are cold im gonna post this and then go lay down in warm blanket-
