Actually, the more I’m writing Alastor and Lilith interacting post-Metamours, the more I realize that Alastor has a soft spot for her. Lucifer would never get away with this shit.
It’s not unpressidented, either. From the moment the switch flips in his mind from, “this woman secretly wants to kill me,” to “oh she actually, genuinely does want to be my friend,” there is a noticeable difference.
He’s quicker to warm up to her, to open up and allow himself to express vulnerability. And while some of that is probably because Lucifer loosened the lid on Alastor’s bottled up emotions, I don’t think that’s the whole picture.
He defers to her in a way he doesn’t for Lucifer, even in subspace. He’s willing to let her take the lead in conversations and trusts that he’ll like where she brings them.
He uses her title as a term of endearment and continues to indulge her in her more royal rituals. Mentally, he refers to her as “the Queen of Hell,” where Lucifer is “the Devil.” Lilith could just as easily have been, “the First Woman,” or simply, “Lilith,” but no, he picked the royal title.
He sees her on her throne for the first time in Metamours and thinks she looks, “every bit like the Queen of the Damned.” Then on the Survey Fic epilogue, she’s “as regal and dangerous as the day he’d first seen her there,” and Alastor experiences, “All of the awe and none of the fear from that day fifty-five years ago […] along with a fondness that had been given fifty-five years to take root and flourish.”
I haven’t written Alastor’s reaction to Lucifer on his throne yet, but something tells me it’d be a lot less awe and a lot more wanting to knock him down a peg. Either by fighting, biting, or intentionally being such a brat that Lucifer physically leaves his throne to go punish him.
I know he tells Lilith that he views her as outranking Lucifer because, “your husband spent six years making a fool of himself trying to seduce me while I kept a running tally of his failures,” but I doubt Alastor ever called Lucifer “your Majesty,” with the same reverence he uses for Lilith.
I do kind of have to wonder if it’s a gender thing; if I unintentionally gave Alastor a preference for women before it was even shown on screen.
Like, I had heard Viv’s thing about how he tends to get along better with women than with men, but I cannot stress enough that I didn’t think this aspect of his character would be applicable to this AU.
Especially since Lucifer isn’t even firmly in the ‘man’ category of Alastor’s mind; he’s in his own category because even without knowing the term ‘nonbinary,’ UH3!Lucifer is a shapeshifting Fallen angel who has never been shy about the fact that he does not fit within the human social construct that is gender.
It wasn’t intentional, but I think I’m gonna keep it in mind when writing UH3 Alastor from this point forward.
So, anyway, I had an incorrect quotes idea that wouldn’t leave my head about the dichotomy in the way he views the Morningstars, despite deeply caring for them both:
Alastor, about Lilith: All women are queens.
Alastor, about Lucifer: If he breathes, he’s a thot (affectionate).

After the RadioSilence debacle, I decided I should probably check the RadioSiren tag to see what else was in it, and it turns out somebody else was using it for their Alastor x OC tag before I started using it for Alastor x Lilith.
Thankfully, someone’s already come up with an alternative! @jeetlebeetle (technically an anon, but jeetlebeetle makes some great Alastor x Lilith content, so go check them out) coined the name RadioFemme, as in Radio Femme Fatale.
I’ll be retagging my posts and using #RadioFemme from now on! :3

So, I originally gave Lilith a fuller more like princess-y type of gown in Metamours because of the time period, but what if even as fashions change, she specifically forges her skin-tight dresses around Alastor in favor of ones with fuller skirts because he’s more interested in ‘skirt go spinny spinny’ than ‘skirt shows off curves.’
Alastor is not sexually attracted to Lilith (UH3!Alastor is full on, non-grey aroace; no sexual or romantic attraction is ever happening there) but he is aesthetically attracted to her (because I’m aroace and aesthetically attracted to Lilith and I’m projecting, lol), and enjoys impromptu musical numbers. Aesthetically, spinny skirts go hard, especially while dancing.
Lilith is a performer; she knows how to cater to an audience.

There’s a good chance I’m going to be late with the final update for A Survey on Homosexuality and Consensual Non-Monogamy (Sponsored by Queen Lilith Morningstar), because of all the med fuckery that’s been going on.
I’m still writing it, and I keep getting stuck on actions. I struggle a lot with actions as it is, but now I’m wondering if it’s OOC on top of everything, which let me tell you, the timeskip presents a real challenge there. It’s been 55 years since we last saw Alastor and Lilith interact, so is this OOC??? I don’t know. It’s been 55 years.
I keep asking myself:
Is Lilith being too physically affectionate with Alastor?
Would this be too dramatic?
Does this action make spacial sense?
The second one kinda gets me, because, “Are the Drama Queens Who Bond Over Shared Love of Drama Being Too Dramatic?” is probably not a question I need to be asking myself.
And yet, here I am. Ruminating on it anyway.

📝
Send me 📝 in an ask to get a random WIP snippet.
You, dear mutual, get a snippet from the final chapter of the Survey Fic, and some behind the scenes, heartbreaking info.
“Lilith Morningstar,” Alastor greeted, dipping into a bow. “What a sight for sore eyes.”
Lilith laughed. “I missed you, too, Alastor,” she said, descending from her throne. She offered him her hand, which he gladly took, pressing a chaste kiss to the backs of her knuckles.
“Even though it’s barely been a week since the last time Lucifer and I invited you for lunch,” Lilith teased.
Alastor took it in turn; the fluttering thing in his chest doing summersaults. “Well,” he said, pulling her into an embrace by the hand she’d offered him. “You and Lucifer are on a very short list of people I wouldn’t want to spend more than a week apart from!”
Heartbreak incoming in…
3…
2…
1…
I wrote this knowing full well that I’m going to keep Alastor’s 7 year disappearing act, and that he wasn’t allowed to contact any of the people on that list for the whole 7 years.

I’m working on the next Unholy Trinity fic now and it’s just like…
No context spoilers below:
*
Lucifer: Break a leg!
Alastor: How about I break yours instead?
*
Alastor: Well mark me down as scared and horny intrigued!
(He’s not horny in a sexual way, but he’s sensing a lot of potential entertainment value.)
*
Lilith: Oh you poor thing, you’ve got internalized amatonormativity.
*
Alastor: Is murder an effective coping mechanism?
Lilith: No, Alastor, murder is not an effective coping mechanism.

Hey, remember when I said I was going to add Lilith into the UH3 RadioApple nonsexual kink dynamic?
Well, it’s a voice-kink fic. And what better time to start turning this series into a musical?
Fret not, darling, I don’t bite (Oh, please do) Well, since you’ve asked so nicely I suppose you could entice me (Lilith)

🥰 a fluff WIP snippet
WIP and Published Fics Ask Game
Thank you for the ask!
I’m going a little unconventional here and posting fluff from a fic that’s mostly non-fluff, but…
Spoilers for Survey Says below the cut:
Lilith brought a hand to her chest, and Alastor couldn’t tell if the tears in her eyes were genuine, theatric, or a trick of the light.
Opening her arms, Lilith offered an embrace that Alastor happily sank into.
“Will our darling Devil be joining us to listen to this year’s recordings?” Alastor asked, keeping one arm around Lilith even as he left her embrace.
“As always,” Lilith answered. “He adores you, you know.”
Alastor did know, and he said as much. “Yes, indeedy! And the feeling is as close to mutual as it’s ever been and ever will be!”
“The two of you are my dearest friends,” Alastor said, his smile softening. “I adore you both.”

Alastor is the Unholiest of them all. 😌
Mine is Alastor x Lilith x Lucifer, with Lilith and Lucifer having an open marriage, Lucifer falling in love with Alastor, and Alastor catching (non-romantic) feelings for Lucifer.
I’ve actually got a whole series for them on AO3, as well as a tumblr tag. (Just heed the AO3 tags if you decide to check them out.)
I haven’t quite figured out how Alastor and Lilith fit together yet. They’re either metamours and besties or QPPs. I think there’s definitely some aesthetic attraction going on, though.
Vaggie: Ok, safety drills. What do we do if the hotel is attacked and I’m hit?
Charlie: Avenge you.
Alastor: Laugh!
Angel Dust: Play Mmm Whatcha Say so you can be in one a’ those double death compilation videos.

#( not mine. ) #I really like this theory if Lilith and Alastor made a deal #I don’t think she is the one where he was having a mental break though #I feel like that is a red herring situation but who knows!
Oh, this refers specifically to my AU, and not at all to canon, but Alastor’s Deal is still a thing in the Unholyverse! And it’s a weird twisty thing that does involve Lilith but not the way people might think.
Actually, the more I’m writing Alastor and Lilith interacting post-Metamours, the more I realize that Alastor has a soft spot for her. Lucifer would never get away with this shit.
