After Idia finishes his explanation of the plan, he makes our Magic Stones able to switch our clothes (like a character customization screen / magical girls lmfao) and we use Silver’s UM to start moving around. The first dream we see is Epel’s

Epel's dream:

In his dream, Epel has a buff body but the same face (also his steps sound like a giant walking lmfao.)

We go to talk to him, but he picks a fight with Sebek. In Epel’s dream he’s taller than both Sebek and Jack (😭). We have to convince him that this dream isn’t really what he wants in order to wake him up. He kinda loses it once we mention Vil.

We get blot clones of Vil and Rook that are trying to convince him to stay inside the dream, telling him how much Leona praises him as the best rookie in the magift team and how he embodies the strength and beauty of Pomefiore.

Grim snaps and reminds him of his wish to defeat Neige as the “poisoned apple” after the VDC.

Epel finally wakes up and accepts his true appearance. We fight against the fake Vil and Rook. Epel uses his UM to win. After that, Idia (in tablet form) explains the situation him.

Idia gives him the invitation he prepared, and we leave a fake copy of Epel’s body in the dream (the buff one 😭) to keep Malleus from finding out too soon.

We then move on to Rook’s dream:

Just as the new SSR showed: we are in a dream where Rook is still a Savanaclaw student. He is not a first year. He recognizes Epel and wonders if Leona asked to see him because of magift.

We try the “Vil would be mad if he saw you looking like that” strategy on Rook, however he doesn’t understand why it would concern him since Vil is an RSA student (‼️)

Vil is also Neige’s best friend (‼️‼️‼️)

Rook begins his fanboy rant about Vil and Neige’s “friendship.” He always imagined them as besties, and he keeps talking about their interviews and how they behave with each other. Sebek snaps at him and gets him to shut up for a bit, Rook is apologetic for getting too excited since he doesn’t have anyone to talk about this topic in Savanaclaw (😭)

Ortho wants us to go into Rook’s room to get more information about this version of him to wake him up. Rook tries to stop us but we manage to get inside.

His room is decorated floor to ceiling with Neige’s merch on the left and Vil’s on the right (😭😭😭😭)

Sebek voice: what kind of rituals are you performing here?

Rook has been keeping his room a secret for all of his three years at NRC. He says he can’t let us go now…without looking at his oshis’ DVD collection first (😭😭😭😭😭😭😭)

5 hours later. Everyone is tired, and Silver even fell asleep for the first time since we got stuck in these dreams.

Epel tries to make him remember the VDC, but in this Rook’s memory Neige sang Minna de Yahoo! alongside Vil. He tells us goodnight and we leave his room.

The group starts to wonder if this dream means that Rook would’ve preferred to not be friends with Vil, but Epel is against that idea. He thinks that Rook is still thinking about Vil’s overblot, and maybe he believes that if Vil and Neige weren’t rivals then Vil wouldn’t have gone through all that.

Our plan to make Rook wake up involves going to the Coliseum / VDC stage and sing Absolutely Beautiful (new rhythmic!)

We get a flashback of how we rehearsed the song. Epel guided us and assigned our places. Epel -> Vil / Ortho -> Jamil / Sebek -> Epel / Silver and Grim -> Adeuce combo / Yuu -> Kalim / Idia -> Audience and judge.

Idia is happy to take this role, since he is very strict about idol performances (😭) he also offered to get everything ready

Epel: ✨Really? Thank you, Idia-san! ✨

Idia: Ugh! It’s too dazzling! For a moment I thought I’d been reincarnated into an idol training game-

Idia: Pomefiore is frightening….

Idia: I mean, doesn’t this kinda make me a manager or a boys' idol group P?

Epel: Your Roi de Poison! Our Queen! He is far more Poisonous and Beautiful [than the fake]!

Rook: Poisonous…Beautiful…?

Epel: Don’t you dare give out the words Vil-san wanted the most that day to those fakes! You’re a worse traitor now than when you voted for the Royal Sword Academy! (ouch)

Epel: Come on, wake up! ROOK HUNTEEEER!

Rook: One vote for RSA…traitor…ugh!

Rook: Ugh!….that’s right…in this world…the most beautiful thing in this world is…ARGH!

Rook wakes up, but the fakes are still trying to distract him. ( shoutout to Vil’s VA, this Vil speaks in a more…princely? manner. Definitely not Our Vil)

As the Glorious Masquerade event is running for the 2nd time on the JP version and is about to come on the english one, I wanted to celebrate it with our favorite octopus 💜 Azul’s smug smile is the best. With the way the gloomy stranger dances across the floor, most students would not believe the fact that a mere hour before, he was tripping on himself trying to get into the building. The slippers he wore were not even fitted correctly, as he was forced to attend this glittering ball with little time to procure an outfit.

Still, none of that matters anymore. Not when even a mere glance given to him makes his heart jump. His partner twirls him around once more, and he mentally thanks his justice-driven friend from ignihyde for his aid in an impromptu dance lesson. He makes the right step as the music changes, allowing him to switch partners.

The internal chant may be silly, yes, but it beat making a scene and being recognized for a crime far more horrifying than falling on his face. He’s dipped downwards and pulled right back up just as the music dies down, and the dancers return back to their friends.

He lets out a sigh, before catching the glance of a certain Ramshackle student. Yuu, who learned of the stranger’s hatred of being captured on photo long ago, opts to not snap a picture. Instead, they walk over to him, hoping to comfort his ever-growing paranoia. His hair is coming apart, likely from all the dancing. The prefect puts aside the camera and adjusts it, and is caught in the gaze of the forlorn man’s single blue eye.

A silence gathers as one looks at the other. The stranger speaks before Yuu can.

SAGA: Hey…why are you staring at me like that..? You’re making me nervous…

He surely is not the belle of the ball, not by a long run. But to a small few, Saga might have been the most enchanting person they’ve seen that night.

As Chloe cast his spell, an assortment of accessories appeared out of thin air including golden buttons, ribbons, red and blue brooches, and lace.

Chloe: Okay, what do you think of this ribbon? The color is so chic right, and it’d be just perfect on you.

Akira: Oh, what about these fake nails? Your hands are really pretty after all.

Owen: I like this one. Its color reminds me of festering meat. And that one looks like a melted eyeball.

Crossing his legs, Owen sat down between us in the hall as we fired suggestions at him.

Although he acted bored, yawning and waving his hand at us from time to time, he didn’t seem to mind our attention at all.

Owen: Now I’m feeling a bit hungry. You don’t happen to have any edible accessories, do you?

Chloe: E- Edible…? I- I don’t think so…

Owen: Must I do everything myself? <<Cur Memini>>

As Owen cast his spell, an assortment of buttons, ribbons, and brooches appeared in our hands.

Chloe: These are gorgeous… Not to mention, they smell really good too, like candy.

Owen: These are sweets I made myself using magic.

Owen: If you’re curious, why not take a little bite? I can’t guarantee you’ll leave with your teeth intact though.

Unconsciously, Chloe and I made eye contact.

With the sugary scent of the accessories enticing our senses, the two of us cautiously lifted one and took a bite.

Chloe: …! This is a cookie!

Chloe: It’s so sweet and delicious… Oh, and this ribbon is made of chocolate!

Akira: You’re right! This brooch tastes just like a madeleine…!

Owen: Hehe. Of course they do; I made them after all. If you’re interested, then you’re more than welcome to keep taking some.

Akira: …!?

Lightly touching the base of my throat, Owen plucked the brooch off my collar.

Owen: What’s wrong? Did you think I’d chop your head off?

Akira: Ah um… N- no. You just startled me, that’s all…

Biting into the brooch, Owen slid his gaze towards me.

It was impossible to tell what lay beneath his expression. However, his eyes seemed to hold a twinkle of delight which inadvertently calmed me down.

Akira: (...That’s good. It seems like Owen’s in a better mood now.)

Akira: (Maybe he really was bored earlier and that’s why he went along with us…)

Owen: Don’t get me wrong. This whole ceremony thing is still a pain.

Akira: Huh!? D- Did I say that out loud…?

Owen: You’re like an open book, but it seems you still can’t read me at all.

Owen: How simple-minded do you think I am? Did you really think you could change my mind so easily?

Akira: T- That wasn’t my intention…!

Owen: Is that so? Then why don’t you eat this for me?

Suddenly, Owen thrusted a candy ribbon at me.

Pressing it against my lips, he gave me no chance to protest before forcing it in.

Akira: Mmphf…!

Akira: Mm… It’s delicious… Like candy…

Owen: Haha... Just as I thought. You really don’t get me at all.

Akira: Huh…?

Owen: Did you actually think I’d go through the trouble of making all these sweets to share with you?

Owen: On the contrary, I simply cast a little spell that turns things into sweets for just a moment. I’m sure it’ll break any minute now and all those pretty accessories will revert back in the pits of your stomach.

Owen: I wonder… Will your teeth and tongue be alright?

With a look that seemed to pierce right through me, Owen ripped another button off my clothes.

As he bit into the gold-green metal with a crunch, my face paled.

Akira: Y- You’re joking… right?

Owen: I suppose you’ll find out soon enough. I’ll be fine, but I wonder how a human or a weaker wizard would fare.

Akira: Oh no…! I have to let Chloe know…!

Owen: I’d worry for yourself first and foremost.

His mocking laughter drew me in as he dangled a sweet smelling bracelet before me.

Owen: Take another for the road. I’m sure you’ll like this one too.

Akira: N- no, I’m good! I’m already full after all…!

Owen: Aw, don’t be shy. Until this spell breaks, why don’t you enjoy some sweet, sweet candy with me?

Owen: That way, I’ll get to see the look on your face when your stomach finally bursts.

Twisted Wonderland Rambles #11

The halloween update is here!

It has brought us something I was expecting at some point and a complete surprise that makes me so happy I want to cry!

First of all, we have a Nightmare before Christmas themed event, which I expected at some point and I love it. We get to see Jack, Sally and Zero! (From what I could see as I skipped through the chapters this morning) (Do tell me if you've found translations and where I could read them as well!)

I remember being scared of the movie as a kid but as I grew up, I also grew to love these characters and their story. I don't know why I was scared and I haven't watched it since I was a kid and was scared of it. I'm planning on actually watching it now as an adult.

Having this event in the game is a dream come true but one thing I wasn't expecting was to get a character based of off Jack Skellington this early!

Say hello to our new Twisted boy, Skully/Scully J. Graves! (Still unsure of the spelling but we'll find out in due time.)

Isn't he just perfectly imperfect to the point where you just want to squish him into a hug and give him the world- OKAY, I'LL STOP.

Yeah, his name is Kappei Yamaguchi and he voices our new boy Skully. (I'll use this spelling, it kinda matches with how Jack's name is spelled)

Suprised, right?

Well, I silently screamed in happiness because I've missed Kaito so much and was blessed with Skully. Kappei Yamaguchi uses the same voice he does for Kaito which suits Skully surprisingly well. It feels like he'll be an extravagant and goofy guy which reminds me a lot of Kaito's personality. I love them both!

I literally had my mom and my siblings listen to him speak and tell me if they recognized his voice and my mom recognized the voice! This is the best thing ever!(My mom loves Detective Conan and a lot of other anime series) I am planning on saving up for when he's available but I'm currently saving for Malleus's birthday card-

Malleus looks so good!!!! I really wanted him to have an SSR because I want to see him with art of Jack Skellington. But hey, it works out in my favor. It's a lot easier for me to stop myself from spending my keys and diamonds until his birthday banner.

Skully J. Graves and Jack Skellington standing side by side. What an awesome sight! No, like, really, I love this. It just looks awesome and it's crazy that I get to see this with my own eyes.

Can someone tell me what that thing on Skully's head is? Is that a headbeand? If it is, that's a sick headbeand and I want one.

Also, I'm curious as to why he's wearing sunglasses? Could it be that his eyes are sensetive to light or maybe he's hiding them for some reason???? I'm really curious about that and whether we'll find out about that . I hope he takes the glasses off at some point.

[Buzzer sounds, the curtain lifts]

Izumi: (This story takes place before “Fallen Blood”…)

Izumi: (While Kid watches the store, the broadcast on the TV announces that Huey will be fighting a title match.)

Izumi: (The anchormen sing Huey’s praises.)

Kid (Azami): “… Boring.”

[Phone ringing]

Kid: “Hello.”

Kid’s Dad: “Hey, Kid. Remember that weapon you modified the other day? It’s the talk of the town.”

Kid’s Dad: “We’re flooded with all sorts of new orders now thanks to it”.

Kid: “The store’s still open, though?”

Kid’s Dad: “You can just close up for today, get to making a new weapon. I’m counting on you.”

Kid: “*Sigh* Got it.”

Kid: “... Why’d he hang up before I replied, man.”

Vulgar young man C: “Don’t I look like Huey right now?”

Blood: “… What the hell are you guys doing over there.”

Kid: “You’re… that janitor…”

Vulgar young man C: “What do you want?”

Vulgar young man D: “Looks like you want a piece of what this guy got.”

Blood: “…”

Vulgar young man E: “You wanna go?”

Vulgar young man F: “Sounds like fun, we should join in, too.”

Blood: “A weapon?”

Vulgar young man D: “You’re gonna regret getting in our way.”

[Blood barely dodges an attack]

Blood: “…!”

[Blood hits back]

Vulgar young man C: “Gwah!”

[Blood strikes again]

Vulgar young man D: “Uwagh!?”

Kid: “——”

Izumi: (As he watches Blood defeat one man after another using the weapon he modified, Kid feels excitement for the first time.)

Izumi: (Blood successfully fends off all the young men.)

Blood: “Is this a modified weapon?”

Kid: “Who are you?”

Blood: “… Just a janitor.”

Kid: “Huuuh… That’s interestin’.”

Kid: “Hey, can ya give this weapon I tweaked a spin?”

Anchorman: “And Huey Brown does it!!! What a spectacular title win!!”

Izumi: (With the anchorman and the cheers of the citizens in the background, Kid smiles… And the curtain falls.)

Kumon: I’m really happy I got to see Blood again, obviously, but Kid was just SO cool!

Azami: Yeah.

Kumon: Was the script your request, Azami?

Azami: Uhhh… I guess.

Azami: … I thought Kid decided to work with Blood because he got interested in Blood, who felt the same way he did.

Kumon: Felt the same way…

Azami: Kid hated the town he lived in. And I figured that Blood did so as well.

Azami: So I thought that’s gotta be why he teamed up with Blood.

Azami: … I just asked for a story of how they met that would reflect that.

Kumon: I love both Kids, but I think the way you acted him out this time was way cooler!
