I come bearing you a new scenario.....one that has been slowly rotting my brain (help)

When Dottore was sent out to Tatarasuna, he only had one goal in mind - simply to cause a minor inconvenience for Inazuma. What he did not expect, however, was meeting you. Someone who he initially wouldn't give a second glance to, but soon found himself uncharacteristically seeking your company.

What drew him to you was how you seemed to be an outcast. Which was strange, because if even a puppet could be accepted, why was a human isolated from the rest of the group? It was a bit intriguing to the scholar. Perhaps because he had gone through the same thing. With enough veiled inquiring, he found out the circumstances were similar too - you had attended the Akademiya but left because you had found it inadequate, in your words. Oftentimes it seemed like Escher would "test" you on things. On morality, how far you'd go for an experiment, on many hypotheticals. You were never sure if you passed these tests from his unreadable expression, but he seemed more pleased at your lack of ethicalness than a good person should.

Well, now he found you much more interesting. You, on the other hand, would naturally be suspicious of the mechanic. He seemed so gentlemanly and charismatic on the outside, but you couldn't help but get a weird feeling. However, did you care? No. Somehow he was still attractive with the graying hair.

He wouldn't fall in love with you that quickly, no, he would define his interest in you as merely that - interest. Nothing more, nothing less. However, he is willing to pursue this interest, just to see how it goes. It could benefit him. He is in need of another assistant as always. Perhaps you could be the fit he's always desired. And so he would offer you a choice - join him in the Fatui, or perish along with the rest of the village. (The choice is obvious.) Or if by some odd chance, he did like you that much, you're just getting yanked back to Snezhnaya.

Dottore ended up getting two useful things out of Tatarasuna. A new test subject, and a new loyal assistant, who he would soon learn to love.

Thinking about this Reader helping him create the segments and gradually learning more about him through them...

Maybe I'm just on this rant about horror movies because I experienced real fear for real things first, and then related to horror movies as an often artistic extension of the human fears I felt. Other people never experienced that horror first hand and watched the horror movies first so it became their standard for fear. Fear isn't a human experience to be experimented on artistically to them. It's just a product in a film. Akin to the caffeine high you expect from your coffee. Unable to truly understand and quantify the fears it's inspired by in a way that doesn't result in panic and death because those emotions must follow a plot somehow. I feel scared of these dark woods? There's a murderer stalking me and I have to be the final girl that escapes. This person is mentally ill and acts and thinks in ways I don't understand? They must be possessed by demons and I need to steer clear of them. I can't go into the old creepy house because that's what idiots do in movies!

These people irritate the fuck out of me and I could rant about it for eternity.

fratboy!chris who . . . always asks you for notes. basic hc but he does. he isn't exactly doing the best in his classes and is bordering on a failing grade so he can always count on his girl to keep him up to date with assignments <33 the classes he has with you are typically a C+ to B+/A- range. the classes without you? ...

fratboy!chris who . . . loves mocking his sweet girl. no matter if its in bed or when you two are hanging out, if you say something he finds funny he'll mock it in a higher pitch and giggle afterwards.

(this ones kinda specific (im lowk projecting bc this is me and its happened to me before.)) fratboy!chris who . . . ends up just blinking at you because he's faded as fuck and you barged into his room with a nosebleed. you frequently get them and normally they aren't bad, but this time you're breathing all heavy and teary-eyed because theres a lot more blood than usual and it's so hard to breathe and it's just kind of scary. takes him a bit because he doesn't know what to do but he's tying your hair back and letting you bleed into his sink, just reassuring you that you aren't dying.

fratboy!chris who . . . drags you to all the ragers he throws. knows you definitely aren't the most sociable thing so you're practically glued to his side the whole night, earning dirty looks and shakes of people's heads or some smirks. will try to convince you to go to other parties as well, you usually say no unless you know he's going as well.

fratboy!chris who . . . tries his best to be kind to you. hasn't ever really dealt with such a shy and sweet girl before. so obviously it comes as a shock when you shut down during confrontations and cry at most things the girls he's usually with wouldn't cry about. he's mean and icky and kind of a dick, but he's trying. </3

fratboy!chris who . . . doesn't know what you two are. he doesn't like labels, or relationships, or the 'girlfriend' title. it's confusing because he likes you, just doesn't want to admit it to himself or you or anyone else.
