work: hey btw can you come back to work the day after you land, even though it’s your scheduled day off, and help us transition with this big change that we just found out about today. the correct answer is yes btw

#i know i’m a key holder but damn why does this place expect me to drop everything after being sick / coming back from a holiday /#and it’s literally my day off #i initially said no but their reaction is rubbing me the wrong way #so now i’m contemplating switching up my plans for that day off just so i can cater to them #i land at 10pm… which means i won’t get home until 11-11:30pm… and they’re asking me to start at 9 #ugh i’m so annoyed #chitchatting ᵔᴗᵔ #cw vent

got the laptop tomfoolery mostly done now I think. Just got some downloading to do and if those won’t work, I’m out of ideas and will actually have to contact IT-support which I rly don’t want to do; I’ve been sudo-ing it up so much that it’ll be a wonder if I haven’t broken anything and ik they hate that. Also tmrw I’d have to do like 0.5 weeks worth of things. Is that doable? No. Am I still gonna try? Yeah.

first of course we have McCoy pretending he’s not glad Spock’s there

(and Chapel, love her, can’t blame her, but once again wondering how anyones convinced themselves that Spock was at any point in love with (or even slightly interested in) her)

(then he goes and hears some randos fucking and his reaction is basically “illogical and gross, but also Vulcans are better at it because ‘passion’)

Spock describing himself as an ‘insignificance’ and wondering what use he could be to V’Ger

vs. V’Ger needing to comprehend an entirely new concept (incredible) in order to accurately describe Spock

no one’s stopping Kirk from getting his man and he’s shocked they would even try

I hate doing this but life seems to be trying to take me out lately and I’m struggling. My job (which is working for my family) is only on the weekends so I’m making barely enough to get by or even make the commute, and also just lost my car in an accident so my mode of transportation is unreliable rn, and with any available money I have going directly to commuting and bills- I haven’t been able to afford groceries in over a month and probably won’t be able to for a bit longer if life keeps up this way 🥲
