The show is deliberately making Colin isolated from his family (8 people and no one wrote to this boy? No one? Really?) because that's the only way to make it somewhat comprehensible that he could forgive Pen so easily and be with her in the end. Which is fucking lazy and I hate it. The Bridgertons are described as a tight-knit, loving family. Have them fucking act like it.

P/S: Not to mention the fact that this particular conflict they gave to show!Colin is a straight up rip-off from book!Benedict. Except that in the books it made sense, as Benedict'd never shown his family his drawings until Sophie told them about it.
