It takes a lot to him to trust you enough to see him naked.

Due to his body, he is very self concious so previously to entering the bath, you need to be sure he will let you in.

It is sure to say this is one of his most vulnerable moments, always expecting you to run away or something.

I somehow think that he doesn't like to bath so the only way for him to get in water is with you.

He tries to stay as much as posible in the water while you wash his blonde hair but he just makes sarcastic comments, makes weird faces and that.

He tries to splash you like a revenge and you end up having a water bottle.

The only place he likes to be in water is on the lake, but ussually is to cold to be there so... big no.

Not even mentioning that in some particular ocasion he threw you there, obviously you pushed him after.

It's the most fun and risky one to bath with.

He obviously starts bathing a couple of minutes before you do, that's why you always tell him when you are going to do It.

He has this hope that bathing and spending this time with you will make you reward him.

It didn't make sense.

Ubbe's shoes walked the length of the boat and back again. Creaking wherever he put his feet, the wind was howling. Even during the day. With the sun high in the sky; not that he could see it.

None of the men or women could see more than five feet in front of them. Once he, along with two other ships left Kattegat, the mist had surrounded them.

Ubbe had the mind to turn back, but he couldn't see the shorline of Kattegat. Only the thick whirls of fog surrounding the boats.

What would have been a long journey, was shortened to mere seconds. And Ubbe was in a place he did not wish to be.

It was a place where his father had died. Where a many great Viking men had died.

But something was different. The time, Ubbe knew it; years had passed somehow. Many, many years. And when he took 4 men into a tavern to investigate, he asked and was told.

Ubbe and his men had gone through 100 years on the water.

・Life had gotten better since Uhtred and his men frequented your village - hell, everywhere had gotten better; not only were the raids less and less.

・But safety and hope were two words that Uhtred of Bebbanberg gave the people

・Well, Uhtred along with his three men - Finan, Sihtric & Osferth.

・You always had a crush on Finan. His Irish charm and humour always brightened your day.

・But he had never ventured for more than conversation and company

・You thought he must have an eye on someone else, but news never reached your ears about anyone else.

・And then something happened.

・Two ships full of Danes had washed on Englands' shores. It was not like any other raid. The Danes spoke differently, their weapons seemed old and the way they dressed was so ... incredibly different to the Danes you all knew

・Where did they come from? Why hadn't any other Dane claimed to know them? And why couldn't they point to where they were from on a map?

・These thoughts plagude you for days. You did your chores and you thought about it, you cooked and cleaned - and thought about it.

・However, curiosity won out and you snuck into the woods to get a better look at the semi-prisoners.

・One man caught your eye instantly.

・And he ...

・He was ... beautiful.

・Outlandishly so, you hadn't seen such a man and with so many unique tattoos...

・His hair was long and braided, parts shaved on the sides and you were taken aback.

"Ow!" He said, trying to keep his voice low as he flung his hand about in pain.

"What are you staring at?" whispered Osferth, crouching down and following your line of sight.

"No-nothing, nothing, stop it-"

"Ooh got your eye on somethin' then?" he mocked.

・You rolled your eyes and pushed him. He caught your arm and hoisted himself up, catching you against him in the process.

・This back and forth behaviour was normal between you and Osferth. As soon as you met, it had started.

・He knows about your feelings for Finan, and has helped you to gain his attention time and time again

・The only failure in this was the fact that he didn't want to put you at risk. Finan couldn't bear to have you as some sort of target.

・But god did that change when Ubbe started talking to you.

・You decided to help around with the new Danes

・Your skills were highly renound and useful no matter who you were with

・Ubbe did everything he could to get your attention and soon Finan became a shell of his witty self.

・Grouchy and sensitive, Finan couldn't stop watching the two of you interract.

"I mean wha' does she see in 'im??"

"- Finan, please-" Uhtred interjected, trying to calm him down. He did not calm down.

"Just tell her how you feel-" Sihtric exclaimed, throwing his hands up in the air.

Part two.

Ragnar Lothbrok.

He hasn’t seen you in several months and he starts to get worried because for one, you didn’t even come to the dock to greet him after another successful raid and two, you know damn well he doesn’t like to go for so long without talking to you when he is in Kattegat. He learns too much with you.

He knocks on your door one time before letting himself in like he owns it, and that he does of course. He’s the king.

“I just want to know why you haven’t even… oh,” He looks at you with wide eyes, looking down at the small round belly that has started to become prominent.

You look at him expressionless, your eyes filling with tears, he gets to you in two big steps and pulls you into his arms, one hand on the back of your neck and the other grabbing your arm so you can put it around his waist.

“My sweet dear friend, what’s the matter?” He murmurs and you sob.

“I missed you so much, o-oh for the love of Odin, my friend is here.” You cry on his chest.

“Of course I am, I’ll always come back to you,” He assures you.

You look up to him.

“I am with child,” You say and he snorts.

“I can very much see that,” He jokes but his smile vanishes when he sees the pain in your face.

“And he hates it, he hates it so much Ragnar,” You sob. “He said it’s not his child, he swears it’s yours.”

He laughs and walks with you under his arm to your bed, softly falling down and letting you get comfortable on his chest.

“I have to say, it does sounds appealing to bear a child with you,” You snort and sob softly. “But we have never had sex, for you rejected me when I asked you.”

“You wanted me to lay with you when we were camping and getting ready for a war back in the day, it wasn’t the time,” You roll your eyes. “He says my plan all along was to seduce you to become queen of—,”

“Does he even know that you’re the uncrowned queen of Kattegat?” He laughs. “It doesn’t matter, I’ll be the child’s father.”

“Why did I have the suspicion that you would say that when the time of me carrying a child come?” You ask with a small smile and he kisses your head.

“He can’t come near you anymore, he lost his chance.” He explains.

You close your eyes, forgetting everything that made you cry and remembering that Ragnar will always be there for you.

Björn Ironside.

He frowns when you rush into his tent in what seems desperation, he grabs your shoulders to stop you.

“Wow, wow, wow, stop right there,” He says, and when you look at him his whole face changes. “Who did this to you?”

You have a cut on your lip and your cheek is starting to get swollen from a hard slap.

“Björn—,”

“I am not going to ask a third time, Y/N, who did this to you?” He grunts.

“Knud,” You whisper and you step in front of him when he is about to start walking, looking him right in the eye. “Björn.”

“I am going to break his arms, move.” He grunts.

“Björn, I am with child.” You snap, smacking his chest softly so he can pay attention to you.

He looks at you surprised, blinking a few times before slowly sliding his hands all over your belly.

“That’s wonderful, little one.” He whispers and your bottom lip trembles. His face suddenly turns cold. “Which means it’s going to be worse for him.”

He walks around you and out of the tent in the blink of an eye, you sigh and sit down for a few seconds on his bed, your state making things such as standing very tiresome.

After some minutes you stand up and go out looking for your friend, finding him close to the woods with a crowd around him. When you get close you realize that the father of your child is tied up to a tree while Björn is shooting arrows at him, missing on purpose to get him more scared. The whispers of the others are what makes Björn look behind his back, he smiles at you.

“Come here, my sweet one.” He says with feigned happiness, you stand on his side, ignoring the man on the tree on purpose.

“Yes?”

“What do you want from him? His leg? An arm?” He asks you entertained.

“I—,”

“Y-Y/N, p-please! Forgive me! I-I didn’t mean t-to, it was the ale!” The man cries.

“You hurt her while she’s with child and you think ale is the perfect excuse to give me? me?” Björn asks with humor, raising his arms and shooting an arrow right on top of the man's knees, smiling when he screams in pain. “Try again.”

“F-Forgive me for saying that it is not my child, I-I know you haven’t laid with n-no one else, I misunderstood your relationship with lord Björn,” The man cries in pain, sobbing like a child, he looks at you with pleading eyes. “Y/N p-please.”

You look at Björn and give him an enigmatic smile that he understands all too well.

“My friend, I could use a liver, maybe a heart,” You tell him and he hums.

“All you have to do is ask,” He says, shooting right into the man’s heart, watching the life leave his body. “Like that?”

“Like that.” You snort.

Ubbe Ragnarsson.

He’s sure the gods put you in his life with a purpose, because the amount of love and happiness he feels when he’s around you cannot be normal.

He was walking around Kattegat with a smile, watching his people do their own thing and being proud of the stability that they have now thanks to a lot of his, his father and his brothers' sacrifices. He sees you and frowns when he takes in your expression, walking a little faster to get to you.

“That fucking child is not mine!” The man, whom he knows you tend to lay with from time to time, was shouting in your face. “Find the father of that child because it is not mine.”

“Well, last time I checked I am not the Christian Holy Mary to have a child from a god,” You snap at him. “Who else’s child would—?”

“Oh, I don’t know, maybe the prince,” The man accuses you and you gasp, he starts to point his finger at you, every time touching your shoulder in an accusatory manner. “Why don’t you go and tell him that you’re with child, uhm? Since you’re so proud of being his main whore—,”

The man can’t continue his speech because he is interrupted by Ubbe yanking him from the back. Ubbe walks to him slowly, sighing to control his dark thoughts and straddling the man. He starts to calmy destroy the man’s face, smacking him with his open hand, punching him with his fist, with his own head. You crouch down beside him at a considerable space in order to not get punched by accident, with your hand under your chin, watching your prince make a mess out of the poor man that thought he could disrespect you and continue on his day like nothing happened.

“You think you’re too good to put a child on her? Don’t be stupid, you should be grateful that you even had the opportunity to be inside of her,” Ubbe grunts, watching the man’s face unrecognizable now.

He cleans his hands on the man’s shirt and stands up, walking to you and bending his knees a little to take you in his arms. You hum and slide your hands around his neck.

“I would’ve expected Ivar to lose control like that, even Hvitserk, but you?” You murmur into his ear and he chuckles.

“I’m Viking, love,” He says as if that explains the little number he just pulled.

When he enters the Great Hall he walks directly to a chair and sits with you sitting sideways on top of him, he caresses your back distractedly while playing with your hand with his other hand.

“I’m a little scared,” You confess and he looks at you. “It’s my first child, I’m not even married and he already made sure to let me know that he will not be—,”

“You don’t need nobody but me,” He says firmly, confidence emanating from his body. “And I’m not going anywhere.”

“Ubbe, you have your own obligations with Kattegat,” You try to reason with him.

“And still, I’ll be here for you,” He whispers, pulling you to his chest and slowly sliding his hand onto your belly, you put your own on top of his. “Every step you take, I’m taking it with you, my dear friend.”

“I know you will,” You whisper and kiss the side of his head.

Björn Ironside

1-2 Friends who are like brothers to him

would die for each other without second thought

they have known each other since their teens and kept Björn sane during his time with Jarl Sigvard

They went with Björn to retake Kattegat and stayed with him afterwards

They are not too attached at the hip but they always know where each other are

Ubbe Ragnarsson

a few close friends, maybe 3-4 who he hunts, fishes and plays games with

he enjoys Hvitserk's company and drags him everywhere (he feels responsible for him since childhood)

Is the Mom Friend who gives out advice a lot

at the same time, he's the guy who comes up with the most reckless shit to do

Hvitserk Ragnarsson

Kind of part of Ubbe's friend group, but he's more an appendage there, except for Ubbe (at least not consciously)

there is this one guy who genuinely wants to be his friend, but Hvitserk rather wants to hang with Ubbe's circle

he still enjoys to have philosophical talks with said person

he has some girl friends who he enjoys talking about clothes, hairstyles and the occasional gossip with

he would never admit that to anyone

Sigurd Snake-in-the-eye

he is never alone

he has one best friend, four close friends and a number of boys hanging around him to try and get in his inner circle

they are always up for mischief, play music and dance

they also retreat often to the mountain cabin to go hunt and be undisturbed

that's how Ivar gets to the conclusion he's into men

Ivar the Boneless

doesn't have a single friend to his name

He doesn't trust people that way (although he would really like to but he cannot even admit that to himself)

some are still afraid of him bc of what happened when he played with some town kids (his first kill...at 5...with 0 consequences (that we know of))

he prefers to lead the few who remain on and uses them to his own ends (Spies are always useful and he cannot crawl everywhere)

Ubbe:

The trickiest one among his brothers.

He’s used to the commanding role and he likes giving orders.

He’s pretty dominant himself.

It’s not that he won’t open up to another dominant s/o, but they’ll have to be on his level.

The dominance in the relationship would be balanced. One time it’s him and another it’s his s/o.

He’s a simple man when it comes to sex. He doesn’t need a lot of stuff to make it work or to get him in the mood. Usually likes simple, but effective positions.

It’s more about the general mood that sets who's turn it is.

A look, a certain way of touching, something subtle like that.

That’s not to say if something gets on his nerves, which a lot of things do but he keeps his cool, he won’t shove his s/o on the bed (or wherever they have privacy) and ride them till sunrise.

Fight training is also a good way to get him into the mood.

Hvitserk:

It’ll be unusual to him given that he’s always the one chasing new lovers and thus, being more dominant.

Still, he keeps an open mind to sex.

And noticeably, he likes to please.

As strange as the proposition may sound, he has no problem allowing his s/o to be dominant with him.

Say what you want out of him, leave him begging, he has no problem. Just don’t degrade, humiliate and neglect him, he has plenty of that in his life already.

He does appreciate being taken care of for a change, but will still want to be the ‘protector’.

He has someone that makes him happy, he likes to know he can protect them in the violent world they live in.

You’ll get the more playful and easy going side of him because he feels happy in the relationship.

Temperature play is off the list.

Ivar:

Oh boy, do you get a handful with this one.

Ivar is a very dominant person himself. Rarely you get any moment of vulnerability or one he’s not heavily guarded.

It would have to be someone he trusts, really trusts, for him to consider surrendering for a while.

It’s a plus if they can fight. Looking at you, Headmund.

Earning his trust is the long run. Don’t lie to him, don’t make him feel weak or like a burden for his disability, don’t treat him with pity. Things like that.

Before he surrenders, he must feel secure enough in the relationship that he knows his partner won’t stray for someone else.

Very much likes praising.

As he surrenders, you get the bratty, spoiled and impatient boy he truly is. Work your magic from there.

Bjorn:

You mean canon.

Look, this man is the best fighter and hottest viking of his generation. He knows that, you know that, everyone knows that. He doesn’t have anything to prove and his confidence reaches Valhalla.

He has precisely zero problems with a dominant s/o.

Bae, be as dominant as you want, this man is a freak in the sheets.

He’s up for everything, at least trying. If he doesn’t like something, he’ll tell straight away.

Might be a good way to keep him from straying…

Sigurd:

Honestly, the hardest nut to crack. (No pun intended)

He was neglected his whole life because of Ivar and doesn't have a relationship as close as Ubbe and Hvitserk.

That left him spiteful and with abandonment issues.

Before he even considers submitting to a partner, they must prove they care about him.

In a way, he’s like Ivar. His s/o will need to prove he, and only he, not one of his brothers or someone else, is their priority and that they only love him.

Earning his trust is a long game, but the payoff is great.

He doesn't mind his s/o taking a dominant role, but he has a lot of hard no’s.

Degradation and pain are the top no’s. Being bound is also on the uncomfortable side.

Simply tell him what to do and not to do and he’ll oblige.

But keep in mind he's a prince after all and he’s very much proud of his status, so you’ll also get the moody, demanding and bratty attitude.

Most of everything, he likes to be reassured he’s the only one in your heart and if you put that into or after the play, he’s a happy man.

So thank you so much for finding the courage to slide into my ask box! I included some dialogue perhaps it portrays my intention a little better??

⚜️ Ivar has a sharp eye, especially when it comes to you. He knows you so well and therefore observes you constantly. The second he sees you fidgeting nervously, avoiding eye contact, or hesitating to engage with others, he knows you’re not too uncomfortable. His observant nature means he can sense your unease even before you tell him.

“You’ll sit here, next to me. Let them try to bother you while I’m around.”

⚜️ Before the feast even begins, Ivar ensures that you’re seated in a way that keeps you away from the loudest, most boisterous individuals. He places you right next to him, acting as a physical and emotional barrier between you and the chaos. Sometimes you like to banter around with the women, and he doesn’t mind. But incase everything gets too much, you have a rather quiet space in the room.

“Look at Hvitserk. How many mugs do you think it’ll take before he dances on the table? My bet’s three.”

⚜️ Ivar isn’t known for being gentle with most people, but with you, he softens. Throughout the evening, he leans close to whisper jokes or biting comments about the crowd to distract you.

⚜️ Ivar’s way of lightening the mood often involves humor. He’ll joke about how everyone else was far more embarrassing than you anxiety could ever be. Perhaps that would make you less conscious about other people’s opinions.

“You’re doing fine, Krútt. They don’t deserve your attention anyway.”

⚜️ While Ivar isn’t overly touchy in public, he makes exceptions when you’re incredibly overwhelmed. His hand might rest protectively on your knee under the table, or he’ll brush his fingers along your arm to remind you that you’re not alone.

“Mind me telling you some tales? It’s far more entertaining than watching my wife blush so lovingly.”

⚜️ If anyone tries to draw too much attention to you, Ivar is quick to redirect it elsewhere. Whether it’s calling out Ubbe for something embarrassing or telling a story about himself, he ensures all eyes are off his wife.

⚜️ Ivar subtly pushes you to engage in ways that won’t overwhelm you. If someone offers you a drink or a kind word, he gently nudges you to respond. Your answer through a nod or a smile is often enough for him and the people around you.

“Come, let’s leave these fools to their noise. They won’t notice we’re gone.”

⚜️ If it becomes too much for you, Ivar doesn’t hesitate to make an early exit. He’d rather waive the feast than watch you suffer.

Absolutely in love.

He is the more excited of the brothers to get you into raids.

Of course he fears about your safety but if you are with Ivar it's clearly that you know how to handle things like this.

Seeing you all covered in blood of your enemies, with weapons on your hands and that exhausted look, made him think you are a valkirie.

He gives you trinkets, even when the city has been destroyed and all the treasures of the city belong now to the vikings, he still gives you things he sees on another woman.

Sometimes you don't like how he gets after fights, becuase sadism in battles is good but tortures after that, no.

You try to reproach him about it, at first he gets angry, then he tries to be less sadist after that.

At the end, raiding with Ivar is a big adventure.

Ubbe Ragnarson

Very protective.

Expect him to be your shadow, attached to your side every second.

He kisses you after battle, he says he doesn't want to be in Valhalla without feeling your lips one last time.

In battle you both are always together, fighting in complete synchrony.

One thing he does when the battle ends that drives you crazy is kissing you. You both covered in dust and blood, exhausted from battling and he just goes to you with feral eyes, drops the sword/axe and kisses you furiously.

He doesn't like to make you gifts from the raids but instead you are the one who grants him things, he smiles like a child everytime.

Hvitserk Ragnarson

He thinks it's the best thing you both could do.

Like a vacation for the two of you, seeing new places and trying new food.

All the things he gains during the raids are YOUR things too, he gifts you everything he can.

He ussually tents to follow some jokes from other vikings about taking woman from the raids.

After seeing your face full of disgust, he never does it again, he wouldn't support seeing your eyes look at him like that again.

He always finds the higher spot on the place to spent the evening after raiding, organizing a picnic above all the bloody chaos of the under.

Sigurd Ragnarson

He doesn't like you going, he doesn't like going either.

You both only go when it's necesary because of his family.

When you are there, you both prefer to watch out the camp rather than enter in battle.

In fact, probably you are better warrior that him, so you protect him during the battles.

Being on the camp he always plays instruments to calm himself, and because of that you lay next to him and relax yourself too.

After battle he goes straight to your side and hughs you tightly, other vikings mock him about his not-so-manly behaviour.

Bjorn Ironside

He doesn't really care.

He thinks you can handle yourself, but unlike the others, that makes him let you get lost around.

He just watches you from afar with a serious face, expecting the unexpected.

A small grin appears on his face every once in a while, thinking about how badass you look.

The sight of seeing you covered in blood makes you look so desirable, he has to restrain himself from taking you right there.

You have to endure his cheater behaviour with foreign woman and getting slves everywhere.

But after battle you are euphoric and decide to put him on place.

・What is difficult for him is not showing you love in public. Having to pretend that you’re an enemy. It’s very hard. 

・In a way, Rollo feels like he needs to make a choice. Either you or his family. You haven’t told him that, or brought up any kind of notion that there needs to be a choice - well, not yet anyway. 

・But in his heart he knows. Because Rollo isn’t a man that can glue people together. He’s either all or nothing. 

・He sneaks into your room and spends hours with you. 

・You bond over feeling like outcasts, or overshadowed by a sibling/family member

・If you have a close sibling, then they find out but keep your secret

・At first Rollo was only after you because you were the enemy’s daughter/son. He knew this would cause chaos and ruin both you and your family. But he fell in love with you. 

・Ragnar knew of the ruse, but he didn’t know that Rollo’s feelings became true. 

・That the game had turned much trickier than intended 

・So now Rollo has to deceive both sides. That’s why he feels like he needs to make a choice. 

・Rollo surprises you with his knowledge about you - he remembers the important things you tell him. Like your favourite flowers, happiest childhood memories etc.
