Kirishima's Alphabet SFW (MHA)

Pls enjoy my lovelies

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?): Kirishima is such a sweetheart when it comes to showing his affection towards you. He obviously enjoys the simple hand holding in public or between classes, but he also strikes me as being a sweet talker as well. He LOVESS complimenting you on your quirk and hyping you up every time before you go into training or a battle. On top of that, he also seems like the type to want to spend as much time as he can with you (of course), so he doesn't mind just laying about beside you while you do your homework because of course he neglects his own until the last minute.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?): I feel like it would really depend on your OC's upbringing, meaning whether or not you met in high school. For simplicity, let's say you did in UA. In the first stages of showing off everyone's powers, you caught his eye. Since getting in high school, he was pretty sociable, so he went up to you pretty early on and showered you with compliments about your quirk, saying things like how you used it was so unique and he wished he had a quirk like yours. After becoming friends and talking back and forth, he ALWAYYSS wants you to be involved in group activities with Kaminari, Mina, and Sero, the usual group. Like Bakugo, if he needs to DRAG you out of your room to get you to hang out, he isn't afraid to

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?): Kiri LOVES a good cuddle sesh. It warms your heart every time you see his hair lying down, and when you guys usually do cuddle you see it like this. There aren't a whole lot of times where you two get to hunker down with each other considering the "rules" in the dorms that people allegedly follow, but on the off chance he can sneak into your room or you sneak into his, it's always a nice time. I feel like he would love resting his head against your chest, nuzzling his nose against it like he's a cat rubbing his scent on you. Kiri I'm afraid is also a bit of a snorer especially when he has had a long day, and although it annoys you sometimes, when it's soft it makes you melt and want to squeeze him to death. He obviously likes to be seen as manly, but he enjoys the occasional moment where you baby him a bit when he doesn't want you to get up or change positions.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?): I feel like it is important to Kirishima that you two do at some point settle down and move in with each other or perhaps even get married some time after he goes Pro. It is a big thing for him to spend as much time as he can with you, and having those special moments devoted to the two of you would make him feel like he’d led a happy life with no regrets if he were to lose in battle. I think that he’s a bit of an amatuer at cooking, only knowing how to do simple dishes, but if cooking is something you’re also bad at, he would definitely make that into a little date idea (seeing who can make the best… or rather least burnt dish). Depending on your quirk and role in UA and the Pro world, he would make sure your space is clean, prioritizing it over his (which is usually a bit of a wreck.)

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?): It would heavily depend on why you two would need to break up, but I feel like how I’ve written Alphabets for other chars like him, he would try and prolong the relationship for as long as possible to try and make things work, but if they really can’t, then he would let you down slowly. Doing the necessities, making sure you two are alone and are sat down. The manly thing to do would be to tell you his feelings about everything and that he thinks you two aren’t a good fit for each other anymore. Rather than think negative things about you, he would still treasure the time you two spent together and wouldn’t think the time you two spent in a relationship was a waste of time at all, rather an experience that he was able to learn about and hopefully improve himself as a person for his next.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?): After his whole mentality change from middle to high school, I think he has gotten over being so hesitant about things, and as mentioned before, he would want to make sure he can have the special moments with you so you two don’t wish you did more with each other if things came to an end. I do think that it would take some time after he became a Pro just to settle into the new life, but he would definitely be the one to propose, crying the entire time he gives his stupid little speech about how he knew you were the one when he first met you and had the conversation about telling each other your names. Honestly I think it would mean a lot more to him if you let him propose to you so he could also show to himself that he is 100% in and devoted to you for the rest of his life.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?): Gentle monster. He is such a big teddy bear. Though he does like picking you up and running around with you, he is literally one of the most caring and self aware people that you know. I feel like no matter the situation there’s always this little inkling in the back of his mind of “Am I doing this right?” “Am I being gentle enough?” “Are they uncomfortable?” But of course, you always assure him that he’s being the perfect boyfriend. Emotionally, I would say he can come off a bit forward sometimes, especially if you are feeling down on yourself, but he once more is always big on complimenting you and telling you that you’re enough and what you did today helped everyone smile a little brighter.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?): HUGGER ALERT. He loves a good hug. He always likes a good hug or kiss before you depart for nighttime if you two see each other before you do. He always goes under and hugs around your waist (totally not because he likes pressing his face against your neck and feeling your flustered reaction). His hugs are usually pretty gentle, but if it’s after a long battle, this man hugs you like his life depends on it, borderline crushing your damn ribs. If he’s proud of you, (which he always is) he also loves to give you a good, tight hug, or pick you up and praise you.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?): He thinks inside his head saying this to you A LOT before he actually does say it, admiring how you observe things or the way you act when you’re excited, “God I love them”. I think it’s a bit of a toss up depending on your forwardness, but I think you’d probably say it first, which TOTALLY catches him off guard when you do. “NO WAY, I LOVE YOU MORE!” He would literally SHOUT back at you, startling you a bit. “I’ve been wanting to say that for so long, I just– I didn’t want to mess it up.” He would follow up. You’d shake your head and tell him that there isn’t a wrong time to tell the people you love that, which made him clutch his shirt in how strong of a statement that was. Safe to say that afternoon was a lovey-dovey one.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?): I think Kirishima, under all of his newfound confidence and strength, still has that small insecure side to him that we all have, so he would get jealous if you continually hung out with someone he wasn’t well acquainted with yet. On the other hand, if it’s anyone in 1-A like Midoriya or Yaoyorozu, he wouldn’t have any issues with you spending time with them, instead encouraging you to be sociable. I think it’s pretty circumstantial the times he gets jealous, but he knows he can trust you. When he does get jealous he definitely makes sure to show you that he loves you with kisses and touches (like on your waist or holding your hand). On top of this though, he’s always been proud to be your boyfriend, so there isn’t really anyone who wouldn’t know the two of you are together. I think you two are both pretty in love with each other regardless of anyone who tried to come in between the two of you, so it wouldn’t matter much if anyone tried to get in the way because he is definitely sure about his feelings for you.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?): Kiri’s kisses have a wide range of places and pressure. When things are normal and the two of you are hanging out, he loves to kiss you on the cheek or shoulder randomly to remind you that he’s there with you (but of course, you already know that). I think that one off kisses on the lips would leave him a bit flustered unless he initiated them. Despite how I explained before, this man’s hand placement is immaculate, either pulling you close and holding your lower waist, holding your jaw, or stuffing his hand in the back of your hair, he always makes you melt whether or not that was his intention. I think Kiri loves a good forehead kiss or just a kiss on his head, but anything around his neck would make his ears just about the color of his hair, sucking in breath so as to not accidentally make a fool of himself. I feel like in private he definitely finds kisses on his torso sexy (Bonus points if he’s in his hero costume).

L = Little ones (How are they around children?): I think he actually would enjoy babysitting some young grade school kids, putting them on his shoulders, or holding them upside down. In return, I also think kids really like him too! Especially the girls, I think they would fawn over him a little bit which would make him bashful, an expression you don’t see on him too often. He is also very careful with the kids, making sure that they aren’t hurting themselves or each other, instead encouraging them to use their quirks or anger against him because of his quirk.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?): I feel that if there was a late night in one of your dorms, then he would definitely not want to get up, keeping you close to him until he was either forced to leave or people got suspicious. I think in the morning times he is definitely the cutest because of how askew his hair is and the tired look in his eyes. I think he is also a very warm person, so he would cling to you for a lot of the morning if there wasn’t anything to do, wanting to also feel your warmth outside of the covers.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?): He’s always a bit of a social butterfly, hanging out in the commons with his friends just chatting about the next test or the latest hero gossip. If and when you two are alone in each other's dorm rooms he definitely enjoys staying up with you, coincidentally enjoying the look of how tired you are, letting your guard down around him. Trust is a BIIIG thing for Kiri, so it makes him all warm and fuzzy knowing that he makes you feel safe and that you trust him to protect you if anything happened while you were asleep. I feel he would also enjoy watching movies during these late nights with you, chugging drinks and sharing some food before passing out on top of each other.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?): He’s a relatively open book, wearing his feelings and his ideals on his sleeve. Anyone who knows Kiri knows he is a person who admires people who are strong, trustworthy, honest, “manly”, and admirable in general. I think that if you were to ask him anything about himself, he would be pretty open about it all, giving reasonable explanations for why he feels the way he does instead of brushing the question off and ignoring it.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?): Hence the whole children topic, I’d think he’s very patient with other people, and less so with himself. He always likes to improve himself so he feels like he’s on the same level as his classmates which makes you a little sad to see how hard he can be on himself sometimes, but he wouldn’t ever say what he says to himself to you or any of his friends.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?): I think Kiri’s a little bit of a scatterbrain if he is needing to remember something, but if there is something he knows is important to you, he is set in stone on remembering whatever it is even if he has to constantly put up sticky notes on his walls to remind him. I think there are a lot of random things he remembers about you, for example, some support item you have on your hero costume.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?): Headcanon time! So I feel that one night Kiri would mention something about there being a meteor shower and he insisted on sneaking out of the dorms since it would happen late at night and watch it together. You were intrigued by the idea and agreed, the idea of once more spending some late night time together was something you wouldn’t pass up, and now it had a direct purpose, of course, you wouldn’t pass it up. You make sure to stay up until about 1AM, to which you and Kiri quietly meet in the commons and snuck out of the dorms and around the side to lie down in the grassy field behind the school. You both cuddled up next to each other on top of a blanket and as if on cue, the shower began when you both were settled. The sight was actually quite beautiful when you saw how the subtle lights shot across the sky, your eyes widening as each one passed. You raised up your arm at the initial meteor pointing out that it started before laying back down beside Kirishima. You were almost at a loss for words, having not seen something like that before– the night being filled with more stars than usual too. This entire time, there was absolutely no way Kiri could stop looking at you. He watched the way the lights in the sky reflected over your eyes and the expression you had on your face. His throat went a little dry, to be honest at seeing the way you were just.. enthralled with the sight. He definitely was glad he asked you to spend the night with him.. He just couldn’t look away similar to how you were looking at the sky. When you finally noticed him looking at you, he blushed, looking the other way but you pulled him in for a brief kiss as another meteor shot across the sky.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?): I think this question is already answered if you watched MHA at all. Of COURSE he is protective of you in every scenario! He would always put you before himself, selflessly protecting you from any villain that posed a threat or squashing any insect you were too afraid to kill. Kiri isn’t really one to ask for help, but he would always ask right after the threat is gone if you’re okay and that he’s sorry he didn’t do enough if you did end up protecting him.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?): I think instead of coming up with date ideas on his own or.. Surprising you, he would sit down with you or ask in your free time what you would like to do so he makes sure you’re having a good time. You do a little reverse psychology on him by being unsure and suggesting ideas to see what he seems most enthusiastic about, whichever that is you also decide you enjoy the most. I think for anniversaries, he would always take you out somewhere, whether that’s a fancy dinner or taking you back to a memorable place you two spent some time at (ie where your first kiss was, first date, first interaction, where he first knew he fell in love with you, etc). He isn’t anything exceptional when giving gifts, but he does make sure to get things that you enjoy, like tickets to a singer you enjoy, or a pair of shoes/jewelry you have mentioned wanting before.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?): For those who follow my OLBA Alphabet, I feel like Kiri is also someone who wipes his hands on his shorts which leave occasional stains on them so he has to keep buying more. In addition, I think he also tends to overwork himself a lot, which makes you worry a little and have to ask where he is if he isn’t in his dorm in his free time. He also, which is a bit of a given, is a procrastinator, leaving his homework or studying to the last minute even if he does haphazardly look over his notes every once and a while.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?): Since his little high school glow up, I think his hair is something he usually takes into account most days, making sure to redye it (hc of mine b/c it technically is permanently dyed red) every so often when he sees his roots coming out. A fun hangout between you two is you redying his hair for him while sitting on his lap. He enjoys the physical touch while you also care for him.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?): I think if you two hadn’t ever met (if the show was what it was) he would become a fine hero the way he would if he had met you, but if you two met and then you left his life after dating or becoming a close friend, he would often think about you and dwell on the things you two didn’t do together. I think if he ever got free time in this scenario, he would spend it searching online where you are nowadays and what you’re doing, at least hoping you’re doing well and are healthy.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.): During the middle phase of when you two were talking but not dating yet, Sero and Kaminari would be an absolute PAIN IN THE ASS to Kiri every time you both hung out in the commons or whenever their whole group was out. They would say things like how Kiri seemed so much more “red” than usual, or “What’s the matter? Cat got your tongue?” After you laugh at something he would almost gaze at you as you did. Even after the two of you began going out openly, they would tease you guys at how you two were lovebirds and “...should get a room if you act like that.”

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?): Dishonesty, not being true to yourself, not taking care of yourself, or being beyond too immature. He is a playful guy himself, but if you can’t take moments that are serious, seriously, then it would turn him off quite a bit. He is pretty open to learning about why people are the way they are, so he tries his best not to judge anyone for things so physical. As long as you were good at heart and were someone he could understand, at the end of the day he would give it a chance. (This is heavily because of Bakugo and Kirishima understanding that despite the way people present themselves, there is more than what people show.)

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?): As I mentioned before, SNORRERRRRR he SNORES. I feel like he also tosses and turns a bit when he’s on his own, somehow ending up at the opposite end of the bed, his feet where his pillow is sometimes. If the two of you are sleeping next to each other, I also think he would cuddle you to the point of you overheating. You’d stick it out for as long as you could until wriggling out of his arms to give yourself a small break before returning back to him.

JEEESSSUUSSSS do making these take it out of me. As soon as I saw my second most recent poll flip and go from Heros to 1-A student fluff I got my ass on here and worked. Kiri is one of my favorite chars if you couldn't tell. T^T

nobody was really surprised when naomasa and you started dating

sure, people wondered how you got to know each other, but nobody was surprised that two people so similar to each other had found one another

both naomasa's and your job include protecting people. for naomasa it's the people of the city, while you have to protect your students

the two of you met shortly after the new school year started and all might became a teacher at UA

naomasa was well acquainted with him and as the vice principal, you too knew about all might's secret!

after the press broke into UA, naomasa and you met for the first time, as you investigated how they broke in and if anything else had happened

you got along well back then, but you only really became close after the attack on USJ, after which naomasa became increasingly worried about the events at UA – and about you too!

naomasa kept visiting UA on a regular basis, to check in on you and make sure everything was alright with the students

but people began to pick up on the real reason he came to visit – you! and when it got as far as all might teasing him about it, naomasa finally gathered the courage to ask you out!

by that point, everyone already knew you two had a thing for each other and your co workers were relieved to hear you started dating!

if they weren't your subordinates, you might've heard more teasing comments about your boyfriend's regular visits. but those only happened occasionally and only from the really bold teachers or students!

Alrighty, fun theory time: What if Neito Monoma was actually brain-damaged?

I swear, this isn't a joke post, this is a genuine headcanon/theory I like to consider that possibly explains the... Sharp shift in his behaviour. Of course, it obviously isn't actually canon, I don't think anyone would believe that for a second, but it's an idea I like to ruminate upon. That said, time to elaborate:

It's no secret that when the character of Neito Monoma was introduced during the Sports Festival story arc of the Boku No Hero manga, he was rather different from his later portrayals.

Unless I'm forgetting something, this was the first proper panel introducing Monoma in the series:

As you can see, there were some... Changes later on down the line:

Anyone can tell that something happened here. Anyone who has a basic knowledge of the manga is aware that this second image is not an outlier. Monoma has been consistently portrayed as arrogant, over-the-top and borderline mentally unwell. There's clearly something wrong with this boy, this isn't just a kid being energetic.

Monoma in his initial appearance was clearly a bit underhanded, yes. He was a schemer, a trickster, almost like the heroes' version of Mr. Compress (I had to fit a reference to my G in there somehow) in how he relies on subterfuge and deception over raw strength; None of this translates to the psychopathic brat he became as early as the Training Camp arc. The question is, what happened to cause this? I mean, yeah, there are a few pretty good guesses as to why his personality was retconned out-of-universe (I've always taken an interest in the theory that his insanity was turned up to make Kendo's behaviour towards him seem more justified, somehow, and have her come off as less unlikeable, though there is also the popular theory that Bakugo's popularity had a hand in things as well, which I won't get into here), but that's boring. I am an Autist, and what I want is an in-universe explanation to use as my personal headcanon.

And so, we come to this delightful little panel:

Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) refers to a form of brain injury brought about by physical trauma or other damage caused sometime after birth, as opposed to genetic brain damage. As listed by the Scottish Acquired Brain Injury Network, symptoms of ABI can include:

Reduced motivation.

Reduced ability to initiate activity.

Reduced motivation.

Reduced empathy.

Emotional Lability

Reduced impulse control (i.e. reduced ability to control expression of emotions and behaviour).

Agitation.

Aggressive behaviour.

Impaired judgement.

Socially inappropriate behaviour.

Sexually disinhibited behaviour.

Reduced insight/awareness of the consequences of brain injury and its impact.

Obviously, not all of these symptoms are relevant to Monoma's case, but some - such as emotional lability, reduced impulse control, agitation, aggressive behaviour, impaired judgement and socially inappropriate behaviour - sound very familiar.

In short, it's proven that physical trauma to the head can very much influence and alter a person's personality, resulting in instability. And as we can see from the image, Bakugo very nearly blew Monoma's head off during the climax of the chariot battle. The way that his head snaps back is clearly indicative of receiving some sort of sharp blow.

And that is where the basis of my theory is formed. Neito Monoma starts out his UA career as a somewhat ambitious and devious, but intelligent and well put-together kid. Then, during the Sports Festival, he receives a severe blow to the head from Bakugo. Given the nature of UA's training regiment, it's even possible that he would sustain more injuries off-panel between the end of the Festival and his next appearance at the Training Camp, possibly even developing the situation into Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy. And that's not even considering all of the times Kendo has been seen striking him hard enough to knock him out cold. We're also well aware of how lax UA is in regards to their medical care, with a kiss from Recovery Girl and a few days' rest typically being seen as the best way to deal with incidents. In this environment, Monoma's head trauma would go on to manifest itself in more and more personality defects, transforming him over time as his intellectual capabilities were diminished and his aggressive and socially unaware behaviour grew more and more pronounced. It puts a tragic spin on what is essentially a mishandled joke character, holding the lens to UA's negligent behaviour that the manga barely touched in any real depth.

Of course, as I said, obviously none of this is the case. Monoma was rewritten to be a joke after the Sports Festival and that is the long and short of it. There isn't really anything deeper going on there, not intentionally at least. But I like to dream. And I've really grown rather fond of this little headcanon.

headcanon that hero schools and agencies are in charge of making hero merch. so there's some deku merch out there up until midoriya graduates. then there's merch of him again after eight years when he becomes a fighting pro-hero once more.

high school bakugou bought a plushie here and there while he was still in UA. but pro-hero dynamight?? #1 deku fan??? once he has to stop financially contributing to the mechasuit, he actually starts collecting every piece of his merch. his new collection's price doesn't even come close to deku's hero suit's monthly contributions. his collector fanboy nerd self is very pleased <3

Shota Aizawa’s First Kiss

It’s dusk in the city. From a dingy rooftop, Shota watches the golden summer sun slip beneath the jagged horizon line of skyscrapers. Sure, the city is beautiful from up here. But honestly, he wishes he were in the grimy streets below throwing punches at villains. Two weeks into his internship and he’s already starting to feel frustrated, cooped up and useless. The Pro Hero mentor that he and Oboro Shirakumo share has been pleasant enough – giving them tips and teaching them a combat technique or two. But when it comes to practical hero skills, the Pro has been leaving Shota and Oboro to watch from the sidelines as he cleans up the city streets with his sidekicks.

Shota watches as their mentor zigzags through the alleyways below, chasing after a car thief. He balls his hands into tight fists and counts to ten, letting out a deep sigh of irritation. He turns to his friend to remark on how useless he feels but is stunned into silence when he sees the way the sunset’s glow sparkles across Oboro’s gentle features.

There’s no doubt about it - Oboro Shirakumo is an attractive young man. At 18 he’s tall and slight, his face almost impish with its sharp upturned nose and soft cheeks. His puffy silver hair flows around his face, almost weightless. His quirk allows him to create clouds of all shapes and sizes – his hero name “Loud Cloud” is a bit on the nose.

Currently, Oboro sits cross-legged on one of his clouds, eyes closed. He’s floating a few meters off the ground, hands tucked behind his head as he enjoys the last of the sun’s heat. Shota marvels for a moment in his friend’s beauty – the way he just seems to radiate warmth. Oboro’s eyelids flutter open and he looks down at Shota questioningly.

“What’s on your mind, Eraser?” He asks, getting to his feet and letting the cloud dissipate into vapor. Shota shifts on his feet, remembering why he’s in such a sulky mood.

“We’re not learning anything valuable here. Maybe we should ask UA to have us reassigned.” He groans, shoving his hands in his pockets reflexively.

“You’re always so impatient, Shota.” Oboro Shirakumo puts a hand on Aizawa’s shoulder, grinning good-naturedly at his friend. “We’re learning plenty! Also - these things take time. You can’t completely level up and be patrolling the streets in two measly weeks.”

Shota glares at his friend through his peripherals. He shakes off the warm hand that’s causing goose bumps to bloom under his dark hero costume.

Of course he would say something like that. It’s no surprise that Oboro thrives in the agency environment – as an extrovert, he’s naturally good at networking and picking up office culture. Shota’s brooding nature doesn’t quite fit in the bright, window filled agency office in the center of the city. He constantly feels uncomfortable and out of place. The sidekicks try to be nice to him, but he can sense their discomfort as well. No one aside from Oboro seems to know how to interact with Shota and his quiet, gloomy vibe.

Shota finally voices the true thought that’s been nagging at him. “I don’t belong here, Oboro. I should be interning with an underground hero.” Shota tucks his chin into his chest – a childhood habit that’s stuck with him and comes out when he’s brooding. Oboro considers him, a soft smile pulling at his lips.

“Stop sulking, Shota.” Shirakumo says simply, causing a lightening strike of anger to flare up in Shota’s chest. On instinct, his quirk activates and his hair flares up.

“Wow, you are really in a bad mood today, huh?” Oboro looks at him appraisingly, still smiling. He’s not afraid of Shota – he never has been. “Shota. I think it’s important that you learn the basics from a Pro in the spotlight. There are so many lessons here that can easily be applied to underground hero-work. Plus, you’ve gotta make connections with all types of heroes so you can hit people up for team-ups in the future.”

Shota grumples unintelligibly – he knows that Oboro is right. But that doesn’t mean he has to like it. He takes a few deep breaths and deactivates his quirk, his dark hair falling back down to his shoulders.

“You know what your problem is, Shota? You really need to learn how to chill the fuck out.” Oboro activates his quirk and forms a new cloud beneath his feet. It lifts him up a few feet into the air and he rides it like a skateboard around the length of the roof before coming to a stop back at Shota’s side. “For example – instead of being existentially angsty right now, you could be enjoying this beautiful sunset with your best friend. Look at all those golden colors and the way the city sparkles in the light, Shota! It’s a Kodak moment!”

Shota glances to the side and once again is struck by how pretty Oboro’s face is, his silver hair sparkling in the dying light of the sun. Oboro turns back to look him in the eyes and says cheekily “Kinda romantic, don’t ya think?” He winks. Shota’s stomach does a summersault.

He looks away and shakes his head. “You’re annoying.”

“And you’ve got a stick up your ass.” Oboro retorts easily. “Oh look – he caught the car-jacker!” He points down at the sprawling cityscape at their Pro Hero mentor who’s now handcuffing the criminal to a parking meter. “That was fast.”

Their headset comm units crackle to life and one of the Sidekicks sends the pair a quick message. “Eraser Head and Loud Cloud, please hold your positions. There may be another carjacker in the area. Please await further instructions.”

“Ugh. And here I thought we’d be done for the day.” Shota grumbles, watching as the police cars start to pull up to the crime scene, sirens flashing in the dying daylight.

“Looks like we’re stuck here for a bit!” Oboro says cheerfully, watching the scene below with satisfaction. “No civilian casualties – sweet!”

Shota rolls his eyes. “This was a small time car thief, not some big brawler villain. Of course there weren’t casualties.”

“Wow, Shota. You’re a real stick in the mud today.” Oboro turns to fully look him in the face and takes in the bags under Shota’s eyes. No wonder Aizawa is so grumpy! It’s clear his friend isn’t taking care of himself – Shota looks exhausted and disheveled.

“Sho…when was the last time you got a full night’s sleep?” Oboro asks gently, reaching out to place his hand back on Shota’s wiry shoulder.

“Ugh I don’t know. I’m too busy training.” Shota grumbles. He doesn’t shake off Oboro’s hand this time. Now that Oboro’s mentioned it, a little rest doesn’t sound so bad. He thinks longingly of his room at the agency with its blackout curtains and cozy bed. Maybe a break from training would do him some good, clearly his nerves are on the fritz.

“Buddy, I really think you need to take better care of yourself. How are we going to start the best agency in the city if you’re already worn down at age 18?” Oboro says kindly, kneading Shota’s shoulder softly. Shota avoids Oboro’s gaze – it’s too open, too caring. They’ve been friends for almost three full years and he still hasn’t gotten used to that look.

Oboro’s gaze is impossibly soft as he takes in the rest of Shota’s appearance – his eyes roam over Shota’s shoulder length hair, dark as a midnight sky. His hero costume matches his gloomy attitude – a black jumpsuit with dark combat boots. Oboro and Hizashi have often made fun of Shota’s hero costume for looking too emo. But here, on a rooftop in a crime-ridden city, Oboro has to admit that the outfit is pretty intimidating. The jumpsuit is deceiving – it makes Aizawa look skinny and weak. The way the color contrasts against his sallow skin tone makes him look almost frail. But Oboro knows better – Shota is one of the strongest combat fighters in their class. He doesn’t even need to use his quirk to overpower an opponent hand-to-hand combat – he’s that good. Also, he’s a good 6 feet of pure muscle. Oboro’s snuck enough glances in the locker room to know that underneath that drab outfit, Shota is packing a shit ton of muscle mass. His eyes roam across Shota’s trim waist and he longs to move his hands down to grip his thin hips. But no…that would be weird. Best friends don’t grab each other by the waist.

He brings his stare up to the grey capture weapon is wrapped loosely around Aizawa’s neck. This is a new addition to the costume – Shota has been training with the support item for a good two years now, and has only just begun to master it. This is the first time Oboro has seen him wear it in the field, and he has to admit that it looks pretty cool. Shota is just so fucking cool and beautiful that it hurts Oboro sometimes. It makes his heart squeeze in all the worst ways. He feels his pulse quicken as he thinks through a plan that he’s been working to hatch for months now. A plan that can now unfurl itself since Oboro and Shota are completely alone.

He continues to survey Shota thoughtfully. Shota’s face grows a bit hot under the scrutiny; he’s honestly not sure what’s got Oboro so locked in on his costume. It must be the binding clothes – they are a new addition, after all. It must be something more than that, though. Shota has been trained to understand a shift in body language – something is making Shirakumo nervous.

Oboro gulps down his fear – it’s now or never. “You know what you need, Sho? A pick me up!”

“Coffee would be nice.” Shota says hopefully, his angst melting away a bit at the mention of caffeine.

“No, no, not coffee. Something else.” Oboro says teasingly, but now Shota feels extra annoyed at being denied the simple pleasure of caffeine. “Quick, close your eyes!”

“Ughhhh.” Shota lets out a long noise of aggravation but complies. He lets his eyes flutter closed, assuming Oboro is going to do some of his usually hippy dippy guided meditation shit. Not that he minds – he loves the gentle timber of Oboro’s voice as he talks Shota through a calming meditation. It’s something Oboro does often amongst their friend group. His mom is a yoga instructor, and he channels her energy well. If everyone is grouchy he’ll demand they do a quick reset and take them through a 10 minute gratitude meditation. By the end, they are all usually feeling a bit less on edge. Shota lets his mind clear in preparation for Oboro’s upbeat voice to implore him to set an intention.

But there’s only silence.

Shota stands quietly for a moment, eyes closed. He’s trying to be patient as he humors his friend, but his nerves are already so on edge today that he’s getting a little fidgety. Meanwhile, Oboro is trying to pluck up the nerve to carry out his big, beautiful master plan. He takes a step closer to Shota, sweating.

“…Oboro?” Shota asks aloud, waiting for a response. Nothing. Instead, he hears a shuffling of shoes as Oboro scoots closer and closer to him. He almost jumps out of his skin when he feels his friend’s warm hand cup his cheek. Shota’s eyes fly open and he finds himself nose to nose with Shirakumo, their faces just inches apart.

“I’m gonna show you something better than caffeine, Sho.” Oboro whispers, his voice husky as his eyes dart down to Shota’s lips. Shota’s brain is going absolutely haywire and he breathes in sharply. He can’t seem to comprehend that Oboro is so fucking close and touching his face. His hand is so warm and soft against the rough stubble of Shota’s cheek, and his skin smells like mint and fresh baked bread. It’s intoxicating. Shota feels his body leaning in towards Oboro, wanting more of whatever is happening here. Shota wants to melt into him, wants their bodies to slide together and become inseparable. This is not something that friends usually do, is it? He doesn’t fucking care.

Oboro brushes his thumb across Shota’s lower lip. He smiles as he stares at his friend’s irresistibly perfect cupid bow. He licks his own lips before leaning in and closing the distance between them. Shota’s eyes widen as soft, pillowy lips press against his own. He’s never been kissed before, and so he never knew how wonderful it could feel to have his mouth slide and press against someone else’s lips. He feels like there’s an ocean full of stars in his chest, fizzling and popping and threatening to burst out of the spot where his heart lives.

Oboro deepens the kiss, sliding his hand behind Shota’s head and up into his hair. He pulls his friend closer so that their chests touch. Shota winds shaky arms around his friend’s neck and kisses him back with such ferocity it leaves him breathless. For a moment, he wonders if he’s doing it right. But based on the way that Oboro is enthusiastically kissing him back and pulling at the roots of his hair, he figures he must be doing enough right for now.

When they finally break apart, the first stars of the evening are starting to wink down at them from above in the dark city sky. The final rays of the sun have disappeared behind the skyscrapers and the city streets seem to be quiet in the summer haze.

Shota looks up at his friend, his arms still wrapped around Oboro’s neck. He’s feeling shaky and winded, his heart beating far too fast for his liking. He finds he doesn’t feel much like brooding anymore.

Oboro gazes down at him through heavy lashes, his face plastered with a smile of fondness and warmth that Shota has never quite seen before.

Shirakumo is the first to speak. “Sho…I’ve been wanting to do that, like, forever.” He laughs, a bright sound that hangs in the thick summer air and wraps around Shota like a warm blanket.

“…really?” Shota asks, stunned. He can feel his face is flushed but he doesn’t feel the need to hide it.

“Of course! I’ve been wanting to kiss you for literal months!” Oboro says before freeing a hand so he can point at the alleyways below them. “I even asked the sidekicks if they could leave us up here alone for a while, hoping I could gather up the nerve to finally do it.”

Shota freezes at this and then lets out a long groan of irritation. “Oboro. You’re telling me that you purposefully got us assigned to a fake mission? You knew we weren’t going to do any hero work tonight?”

Oboro raises an eyebrow. “Are you complaining?” He dips down and kisses Shota soundly on the lips, eliciting a surprised groan of satisfaction from his friend. He breaks the kiss with a smack of his lips. “Yeah, I didn’t think so.”

“You’re purposefully inhibiting my education.” Shota says, trying to keep his usual neutral look pasted on his face. He can’t help the way his cheeks are twitching into a grin. “You’re a menace to me, and to society.”

“And don’t you forget it.” Oboro winks and it sends shivers up Shota’s spine.

A sidekick’s voice crackles through their earpieces once again. “Eraser Head and Loud Cloud – we rounded up all the criminals and we’re done for the night. Report back to agency HQ for a debrief. Over and out.”

“Sounds like we need to head out.” Oboro says, with no intention of releasing Shota from his warm embrace.

“Yeah.” Shota says simply, having nothing else important to add. He’s punch drunk on all the kissing and his head is spinning – he can’t make sense of the fact that his best friend might actually like him back.

“Don’t worry.” Oboro says, activating his quirk to summon a large cloud beneath the two of them. “We can take the long way back – I think we have a lot to talk about.”

“Mm.” Shota nods, feeling like an idiot. He’s tongue-tied, not sure how to even begin to start this next conversation. The cloud is cushy and Shota moves apart from Oboro so that it can support his weight. They both get into comfortable sitting positions and Oboro directs the cloud to take them to midtown.

“Or…we can just kiss the whole ride home.” Oboro suggests mischievously, reaching to grab Shota by the binding clothes and pull him roughly back into his arms.

“A better pick me up than caffeine, a hundred times over.” Shota breathes before craning up to meet his friend’s lips.

so i have this document where i work on ways to make UA focused solely towards making heroes and nothing else, so i cut out all the actual school stuff and make it just basically a school that trains kids to be heroes.

This is gonna be a long post so read on if your interested.

idk what to call this so im calling it a AU i guess. In this AU UA works with hands on training, they work by do instead of showing cause UA believes the students progress faster in field work.

First let's tackle the sports festival first - that was a publicity stunt especially with the whole stadium setting this really screws UA students over when they take their license exam + everyone got to see them including villains who tune in and probably will remember these students and quirks for future reference. Lets make U.A.'s Sports Festival more meaningful and focused on training and growth, rather than just an entertainment spectacle.

Lets call it the Hero Evaluation and this is the Proving Grounds – A place for students to prove their skills, resilience, and readiness for the hero world.

Now lets talk about what exactly the Hero Evaluation (Sports festival) is supposed to teach the kids lets not have it broadcasted cause that makes them look like their only in it for publicity - lets emphasize aspects of what it's supposed to teach the students shift the focus away from publicity and entertainment reinforce it as a vital part of their development.

I'm repurposing the sports festival as a private event soley for UA's staff & Pro Heroes to evaluate students - no longer a public event taking the place of the olympics for people to enjoy.

-Remove the public broadcast element entirely, make it a closed event for U.A. staff and Hero agencies, focusing purely on the students development and growth, pushing the students to exceed their limits in a controlled environment.

-rank the students on how they do but instead of rankings of flashy demonstrations, the focus would be on how much the students learn, how they improve, and what they take away from the experience.

-Include more team-based events, force them to think, maybe work together but don’t tell them outright. These challenges would focus on strategy, cooperation, and quirk synergy, work with others to solve complex problems if they can't do it alone but don't tell them any of this maybe? just hint it at them cause if their instructors told them everything how would they learn? every instructor is different and UA lets it's teachers teach the students however they see fit no doubt every classes teacher would be supervising their own classes.

Exposure to Real Consequences of Battle

- teach students about the potential consequences of failure or poor decision-making in battle. have a simulated "rescue operation" to force them to make quick decisions where lives are semi at stake. This would underscore the importance of thinking carefully under pressure and how mistakes can have dire consequences. Rather than it being purely about competition, these types of exercises can teach them the gravity of things.

-Rather than pure combat, some stages of the exercise could be structured like actual hero missions, where students are given objectives such as rescuing civilians, defeating villains, or neutralizing threats. These missions would teach the students how to apply their skills in the real world. Of course a first year isn't going to go about this the right way on the first time but this will help evaluate where they are for the staff, teachers and pro heroes.

-also have a focus on problem-solving, quirk control, and resourcefulness in the field.

Personalized Feedback from Pro Heroes

-After each event, students could receive direct feedback from Pro Heroes attending, who would act more like judges. The purpose would be to help them reflect on their performance, learn from their mistakes, and grow as heroes.

-Heroes could take a more active role in the students development during the event, offering training tips and personalized guidance based on their performance if they desire to.

-Maybe have a couple of high ranking heroes and their teachers (like Aizawa) watch them to make sure the kids don't accidentally k!ll each other or themselves. And the pros watch to rank them see which one's they think are successful enough to take on when they graduate.

Safety Protocols

Pro Heroes and Teachers like Aizawa, Midnight, and others would actively monitor the students during the event to prevent accidents or life-threatening injuries. Students must still push their limits, but with safety nets of sort in place. They have the authority to intervene in extreme situations like a student seriously injuring another one (about to on purpose or on accident) This highlight responsible.

Evaluation by High-Ranking Pro Heroes

i said throughout the event have some pro heroes attending or specially invited - top Pro Heroes like Endeavor, Hawks, and others would be present if they want to be there to see the students so they can pick out the ones they might like, not only as spectators but as evaluators. They would watch closely to assess the students potential, growth, creativity, and ability to handle real-life hero duties.

-Some pros are invited some can just attend if they want to but there has to be some kind of max number of pros visiting at a time.

-these heroes would evaluate which students have the best skill sets, strategic thinking, emotional maturity whatever they are looking for to use on the field. The evaluations could determine which students they might want to take on as interns or future sidekicks when they graduate. Heroes would be judging the students not just on their combat abilities but on their overall potential in this profession.

They would look at factors like:

Quirk mastery: How well do students understand and control their quirks, can they do it under stress?

Teamwork: How well do they work with others when the situation demands cooperation?

Strategic thinking: Do they adapt to challenges and opponents, or rely solely on brute strength?

Hero ethics and responsibility: Do they prioritize saving lives and minimizing damage, or are they reckless?

I think it would be good for other students who aren’t participating to watch with the pros. The emphasis should be on preparing students for real-world hero work.

Graduation and skill based advancement

-Based on their performance during the event, students could be offered future internships or pathways to early graduation (3rd years only for early graduation) with specific heroes. Heroes would essentially scout the students they see as ready for professional work after graduation, offering them chances to prove themselves further. This replaces the public spectacle of hero agencies scouting students based on showy performance. Instead, Pros who witnessed their growth firsthand would provide opportunities for internships, mentorship, or even sidekick roles.

Long-Term Tracking and Progression

-The event could be part of a longer-term evaluation where students are tracked over multiple years. Pro Heroes might continue to check in on students they are interested in, watching their progression from year to year and offering more advanced challenges as they grow.

Alright i think im done talking about the rewritten sports festival lets talk about UA as a whole. rewriting the UA school system to be focused soley on teaching students to be heroes.

i kinda wanna leave the support course in cause i like it but i would take the business course out and make that a completely different school nothing against it just feel like this could be a whole school all on it's own.

Rewriting UA

lots of field tests and sparring matches, im taking the entire normal school stuff out and making it only teaching them what they need to know. - if you wanted to learn about normal school subjects you should have went to a normal school we don't teach english and stuff like that cause theres no reason for you to be learning art and stuff like that maybe keep math to some degree and learning a new language cause these are important

-They can still be taught things in the classroom and tested on things that could happen and things they actually need to know.

Their teachers could give them test or task based on their strengths and weaknesses, give them targeted advice on how to improve their quirks, combat abilities, strategies ect.

-Incorporate real world missions for the students, not just training exercises or simulations. could range from low-stakes task (bodyguarding, retrieving items, or recon, - cause they are probably gonna be doing a lot of recon) to more serious ones as they advance. One teacher or a 3rd year are gonna be present to make sure everything turns out right.

-Focus on tactical and strategic learning. There could be a heavier focus on strategic thinking and tactical combat. Instructors could teach students how to analyze their opponents' quirks, adapt strategies on the fly, and make the most of their surroundings. This could be done through exercises that are designed to test their ability to outthink their enemies, teach them to outmaneuver and strategize during battle. HENCE I SAY AGAIN sparing matches good

-I said field tests are a thing so frequent field tests (almost daily)

-students spar against one another in controlled and uncontrolled environments depending on the area. Sometimes their teacher or a 3rd year or two 2nd years could watch or they could be instructed to do their training alone.

-Have classes that reinforce teamwork, battle strategy, problem-solving then they have to go on out in the real world and see how what they learned works on almost a daily basis

Rank the task, like rank S-A-B? students starting at lower-risk task gradually taking on more dangerous tasks as they develop.

-on some of the first few days of going to this school have it scaled in difficulty from - low stakes things to high-stakes things like:

Low-stakes task - recon, bodyguard duties, item retrieval.

High-stakes task - hostage rescue, villain apprehension.

-have task rankings by difficulty (like SS, S, A, B, etc sonic scoreboard type thing lol) students starting on lower-risks and gradually advancing as they develop their skills.

Skill-based advancement where students progress to the next level of training only when they've demonstrated mastery of specific skills, similar to earning belts in martial arts having evaluation milestones.

Evaluation Milestones -UA could implement some kind of milestone tests, assessing quirk mastery, teamwork, strategic decision making ect before allowing students to take on more dangerous task or graduate to the next training level.

Mentorship by Senior Students (3rd-Year Leads)

This is why i keep saying a 3rd year is present.

I have no idea if it's that UA doesn’t have a lot of teachers (or it does and we've only seen a handful of them) so why not have 3rd years in charge of first year and 2nd years? a mixed group of them all.

-small teams led by 3rd-year students. Each team consists of - One 3rd-year mentor who leads a group - One 2nd-year student and Two 1st-year students this teaches them leadership/team management while teaching younger students stuff too.

-Teachers monitor these teams, intervening if necessary and providing guidance when they see fit but otherwise letting the 3rd year lead them so they can learn skills like managing a hero team which leads to what pro heroes have to deal with while managing an agency.

-The 3rd years can get advice from their teachers but ultimately it's up to them on how to lead their group, i don't know if this is something they can decline because if they wanna be a pro they'll have to learn about managing groups.
