Marvel's Champions - Girls' Night
Here's a fairly hefty piece I did featuring the girls of Marvel's Champions: Lunella Lafayette (Moon Girl), Fernanda Rodriguez ([Red] Locust), Nadia van Dyne (the Unstoppable Wasp), Amka Aliyak (Snowguard), Riri Williams (Ironheart), Viv Vision, and Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel). Oh, and Sparky the dog and Devil Dinosaur are there. I wanted to do something cozy and used the opportunity to practice some perspective suchlike.

Paleovember 2023, Tarbosaurus!
Famous for being the sister species to Tyrannosaurus rex, Tarbosaurus bataar is often easily written off as being the Mongolian T-rex. The reality is that Tarbosaurus was quite different; besides being slightly smaller, it was also slimmer, with a narrower back portion of the skull, meaning it's vision was less directly binocular. This is due to the animals it hunted being different from those found in North America; whereas Tyrannosaurus went after hadrosaurs and ceratopsians, Tarbosaurus went after hadrosaurs and SAUROPODS, the latter apparently not needing as much binocular vision.

Jurassic Park 30th Anniversary - A Celebration of Change in Science
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, I’ve made a series of drawings celebrating Jurassic Park’s 30th anniversary, specifically highlighting how much science has changed vs. when the original movie came out, and how much it affected the dinos of the franchise’s history.
First is the raptors, with a JP raptor here with Utahraptor and its namesake, Velociraptor.
Second is Spinosaurus, because JP3 has it’s 22nd anniversary this year, and the dude has changed repeatedly.
And finally, Tyrannosaurus rex itself. The modern T.rex is every bit as mighty and formidable as its fictional counterpart, and in some aspects (vision, overall build etc.) even more so. It’s only just much slower.

Tyrannosaurus
Tumblr media
Tyrannosaurus is a large North American theropod, and the last known tyrannosaurid living before the end-Cretaceous extinction event. One of the largest land carnivores of all time, Tyrannosaurus grew to about 12 m long, weighing up to 9 t. The massive skull bones were fused and pneumatized, allowing for an extremely powerful bite. The tip of the snout was U-shaped, which increased the amount of tissue a tyrannosaur could bite off its prey. The skull of Tyrannosaurus was wide at the rear but had a narrow snout, allowing unusually good binocular vision. It was likely both an active predator and a scavenger, but the specifics of its feeding behavior and lifestyle are still debated.

Animal Conversions- Tyrannosaurus
Tumblr media
(Art by Mark Witton)
(The t. rex is statted out as a bite-and-swallower, which is a very humanoid-centric way to view a hunter of huge game. Ive built it as a pugilist, targeting and attacking other big monsters, and given it high constitution of its bulk and endurance. I also included juveniles- ontogenetic niche shifting is something Pathfinder, with its Young Templates and mathematically scaling dragons, is kinda alien to- except for full-on metamorphosis, of course.)
Tyrannosaurus are the most famous of dinosaurs, great predators who go toe-to-toe with other behemoths to get their daily bread; their power and combative excellence makes them as beloved as they are feared. Tyrannosaurs change their behavior and shape as they grow, occupying different niches (and different threats) as juveniles, compared to as adults.
Adult t. rex are rarely a threat to medium-sized creatures such as humanoids; such people are simply too small to be worth the effort of chasing down and eating. Giants, however, are threatened by these great hunters, and caravans using large animals such as elephants are also prime targets for tyrannosaurus attack. Tyrannosaurus are notoriously adept trackers and persistence predators; there are many tales of one slowly following a caravan, waiting for the people and animals to exhaust themselves and stop to rest so it can pick them off at its leisure. Additionally, a brooding adult will often perceive humanoids as threats to their eggs and young and kill them if spotted; however, a brooding adult often means the presence of juveniles…
Juvenile tyrannosaurus are fast agile hunters, notorious for chasing down and killing humanoids and livestock alike. In lands where tyrannosaurus roam, great walls are built to keep juveniles out, and the fittest young adults are often trained to hunt them.
The typical bounty for a slain juvenile tyrannsaurus is 1,500gp, although it varies based on severity of the issue and resources of the populace.
The skull of an adult tyrannosaurus is a status symbol for the wealthy and danger-loving; intact and undamaged, it is worth 4,000gp.

whats your favorite dinosaur, a common misconception, and a correction for that misconception?
for my favorite i wanna say utahraptor but if i’m being honest it’s tyrannosaurus rex, the objective coolest animal to ever exist
a common misconception regarding t. rex specifically is that their vision was based on movement. this is only the case in jurassic park. in fact, t. rex had gigantic, baseball-sized eyeballs that pointed straight forward, giving it some of the best, if not the best, binocular vision out of any predator ever

So let's get started. (I'll try to describe it in the "DND" style, so there won't be a complete description of the character's story and life here.)
Arius Silver (HR and MD period)
Tumblr media
Silver's height is 6'7" ft/198 cm. and weight 100 kg. His height before mechanical augs was 180 cm/5'11" ft, and his weight was 80 kg.
an example to compare height with Tyrants and Jensen. The only one who is only a few cm taller than Silver is Elena Fedorova, Barrett's weight also exceeds Silver's (120 kg).
Tumblr media
Arius is from the word "Aria". It means courage and determination as well as nobility. Silver is silver, which is hinted at by his pale skin and gray hair.
Silver's character may seem stubborn and tough because of his persistence, as well as because of his sharpness. In the first meeting with Jensen, Arius attacks him. Silver is cruel only to those who are cruel to himself, although sometimes he can be cruel for the sake of survival.
Augmentation:
Silver has augmented arms, legs, chest and jaws.
Tumblr media
Legs "Gallimimus"
The "Gallimimus" legs have an anatomy like that of Gallimimus, which is why it has such a name. (For a better definition, you can look at the legs of an ostrich). The anatomy of the legs allows Silver to develop a high running speed and to jump far and high. The legs have a strong structure and Silver can kick his opponent.
Hands "Wolverine"
Silver's arms are as strong as his legs. His claws are sharp as notches, which can almost tear the flesh of an opponent. His claws can also cling to an enemy and keep him close to Silver. Augmentation got the name "Wolverine" because of the additional melee weapon — four sharp blades.
to compare the length of the claws with Jensen's blade.
Tumblr media
Jaws "Predator"
In the most extreme cases, Silver's jaws act as an attack. Due to the sharp fangs, Silver is able to bite through the opponent's skin. The lower jaw is double to strengthen the grip. The structure of the jaw is similar to the jaw of a Predator (from movie "Predator").
Tumblr media
Silver's eyes are also augmented (my vision in augmented too, JC). The eyes are red to scare away opponents a little.
"Rhino Stomp"
Silver Stomps his foot, creating a field of vibration and a wave around himself, which knocks back enemies who are in the radius of the ability. The ability also slightly stuns the opponent. Silver uses this ability extremely rarely, as it requires a lot of energy.
Tumblr media
"Tyrannosaurus Roar"
This ability stuns the opponent more than the "Rhino Stomp" if this ability stuns for only a few seconds, then the "Tyrannosaurus Roar" has a long-lasting effect, such as dizziness, as well as blurred vision. (depending on how far the opponent is in the radius.)
"Wolverine Claws"
as mentioned above, Silver has four sharp blades. They are razor sharp and capable of cutting off entire limbs, not just organic ones. (depending on how strong the augmentation the opponent has.)
Weaknesses:
— Silver's energy can be knocked down by electric shock. Electricity incapacitates him, stunning him for a certain time and obscuring the vision.
— Silver's energy also runs out quickly, especially when he uses most augmentations at the same time. When his energy is completely at zero, he can still fight, but in this case most of his augmentations (Rhino Stomp, Tyrannosaurus Roar) will stop functioning.
— Despite his strong physique, Silver's torso is the weakest point. That's why he wears a sturdy bulletproof vest that protects him from injury.
!Old and first Сoncept!
Silver used to have two different augmentations on his hands as well as a few more augmentations.
"Dragon's Breath"
Tumblr media
The left hand possessed a flamethrower that set fire to the opponent. (This was removed due to overloading of the main augmentations.)
Tumblr media
"Pulse explosion"
An ability that enslaved enemies, electrocuted them, and stunned them. (This was removed and replaced with "Rhino Stomp" and the concept of stun was redesigned as the "Tyrannosaurus Roar". The ability has also been redesigned and slightly weakened also due to overload.)
Tumblr media
I hope I haven't forgotten anything and tried to tell you everything I came up with about Silver.

Cover for Justice League vs Godzilla vs Kong #3 by Jonboy Meyers.
Superman vs Godzilla! The cover invokes all the mythic appeal of such a showdown. Man or God/Man battling a Dragon/Leviathan. Doomsday in Batman v Superman(2016) was a dragon(the heat vision and heat breath) that could only be defeated using a weapon that only the hero(Superman) could wield justly.
Superman did face off against giant monster in one of his earliest cinematic adventures in the Fleischer Studios short The Arctic Giant(1942). The short has Superman taking on a Tyrannosaurus Rex but it looks and behaves like Godzilla. It has dorsal spines, larger than actual T. Rex, rampages the city, and seems impervious to conventual weaponry.
The short predates Godzilla(1954) by 12 years.

Ultimasaurus - CR15 Animal
You never had control, that's the illusion! I was overwhelmed by the power of this place. But I made a mistake, too, I didn't have enough respect for that power and it's out now.
Tumblr media
Artwork by Inaros131 on DeviantArt.
If you want some way more interesting dinosaurs than the ones Paizo publishes, I strongly recommend the Cinematic Dinosaurs Bundle by Necromancers of the Northwest. It's extremely similar to my own Unlocked Monsters series, in that existing creatures are redesigned to be more dynamic and engaging in battle, with special abilities that players can actually react to and plan around, instead of just relying on high stats.
But let's add to that list with some fictional dinosaurs. The Ultimasaurus is an unreleased toy from Jurassic Park: Chaos Effect, meant to combine the most powerful elements of various dinosaurs. As such, it has all the special abilities of its component species rolled into one monster. (A couple of these abilities, most notably crushing trample and impale, are taken directly from the Cinematic Dinosaurs Bundle, so that if you use the monsters together, players can recognize some of the abilities from their previous battles with other dinosaurs.) For the hopefully short duration of its artificial life, the ultimasaurus is destined to be the true, undisputed king of dinosaurs, and the ultimate representation of mankind's hubris.
Unlike the creatures in the Cinematic Dinosaurs Bundle, which treat dinosaurs more like traps than monsters, I chose to define this creature's CR in the normal way that GMs expect for a monster. If you want the challenge to simply be surviving running from the monster instead of having to fight it, then its CR is probably 1 lower. But also, if this CR 15 monster is the enemy you're picking for that scene, instead of a much lower level T-Rex, then that probably means your players are pretty high level, think of themselves as superheroes, and are unlikely to run from much of anything. So I figure most GMs that use this thing will be expecting their party to fight it.
If some of this creature's special abilities feel like they don't quite synergize with each other, that's very intentional. For example, having both powerful charge and crushing trample is kind of redundant, and its bite and gore attacks are mutually exclusive, but the creature didn't evolve this way naturally. I wanted it to feel like scientists who knew more about genetics than about the natural study of wildlife just stuck everything they could in there haphazardly. It's a mutant chimera with a bunch of different creatures' body parts glued together.
If your PCs are flying more than 120 feet up, keep the improvised thrown weapon rules in mind, and have this thing toss a car at one of them.
This is a commissioned monster.
Ultimasaurus - CR 15
Both a marvel and abomination of genetic engineering, this dinosaur's appearance gives it the head and body of a tyrannosaurus, the frill and horns of a triceratops, the arms and legs of a velociraptor, the back armor of an ankylosaurus, and the spine-tipped tail of a stegosaurus.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Bite or Gore (Ex) An ultimasaurus cannot attack with both its bite and gore attacks in the same full-attack action; it must choose one or the other. It can, however, make a bite attack while an enemy is impaled on its horn, or make a gore attack while an enemy is grappled in its mouth.
Battle Roar (Ex) Once per minute, while not grappling a creature in its mouth, the ultimasaurus can let out a primal battle roar as a swift action. When it does, its allies within 120 feet who can hear it gain a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and a +4 morale bonus on saving throws against fear, and it makes a free Intimidate check to demoralize enemies within 120 feet who can hear it. Both the morale bonuses and the demoralize effects last for 1d3+3 rounds (in place of the normal duration of demoralize).
Flying creatures within 120 feet when the ultimasaurus uses this ability must succeed on a DC 32 Fortitude save or fall as the sonic vibrations make the air unstable. The save DC is Strength-based.
If an ally under the effect of this battle roar fails a saving throw against a fear effect, it can choose to end the battle roar's effect on itself to reroll the failed save. The ally must take the result of the reroll, even if it's lower.
Crunch (Ex) Instead of swallowing its prey whole, the ultimasaurus can use its massive bite strength and numerous knife-like teeth to crush and tear its prey apart in its mouth. If the ultimasaurus successfully maintains a grapple with a creature in its mouth, and chooses to deal damage to the creature (instead of pinning it or swallowing it whole), it deals damage as though it had confirmed a critical hit.
Crushing Trample (Ex) The ultimasaurus's trample is particularly vicious, dealing 3d6 points of damage plus 1.5 x its Strength bonus, instead of the normal amount. Additionally, any creature that chooses to take an attack of opportunity instead of making a Reflex save, as well as any creature that fails its Reflex save by 5 or more, has a 50% chance of having some part of his body crushed by the ultimasaurus's feet, causing crippling damage. If this occurs, the crushed creature suffers 3d6 points of additional damage, and suffers one of the following effects:
A -4 penalty to his Strength score, and the loss of the use of one of his arms.
A -4 penalty to his Dexterity score, and his base land speed is halved.
A -4 penalty to his Constitution score, and the target treats his Strength score as being 10 lower than it actually is for the purposes of determining his carrying capacity.
The exact effect is determined by the GM, or rolled randomly. These penalties last for as long as the damage inflicted by the trample attack (including the extra 3d6 damage from being crushed) remains, and for 1 hour thereafter.
Hardened Back Scales (Ex) The ultimasaurus's back armor grants it a +4 competence bonus to AC against creatures above it, creatures climbing on it, and creatures that are at least one size category larger than it.
Once per round, when targeted by a ranged missile attack (but not a ray attack) from such a creature, it can negate the attack so that it deals no damage to the ultimasaurus, and send it back at the attacker as a ranged attack. The ranged attack deals the normal amount of damage for its type plus the ultimasaurus's Strength modifier. The ultimasaurus must be aware of the attack and not flat-footed to use this ability. This ranged attack provokes attacks of opportunity as normal.
Horned Crown (Ex) The ultimasaurus's horns, and the large, bony crest along the back of its head, are ideal for protecting it against attacks by larger creatures. Any creature at least one size category larger than the ultimasaurus that attacks it with a natural attack and misses by less than 5 provokes an attack of opportunity from the ultimasaurus with its gore attack. These benefits do not apply if the ultimasaurus is flat-footed.
Impale (Ex) The ultimasaurus's horns are particularly dangerous weapons when turned against creatures smaller than itself. Whenever the ultimasaurus scores a critical hit with its gore attack against a creature that is at least two size categories smaller than itself, that creature must succeed on a Reflex save (DC 32) or be impaled by one of the ultimasaurus's horns. A creature that is impaled on the ultimasaurus's horns enters the ultimasaurus's square, and is treated as being grappled by the ultimasaurus, although the ultimasaurus is not treated as grappled.
Each round, on the impaled creature's turn, it suffers 2d8 points of damage from the massive horn embedded in its body. The impaled creature moves with the ultimasaurus, and this does not count against its actions for the round. The impaled creature can remove itself from the ultimasuarus's horns by succeeding on a successful Escape Artist check or combat maneuver check (DC equal to the ultimasaurus's CMD). Once freed, the gaping wound left by the massive horn leaves the impaled creature with 1d8 points of bleed damage.
While a creature is impaled on its horns, an ultimasaurus can shake its head as a standard action, inflicting 2d8+18 points of damage, or it can throw the creature off as a full-round action, inflicting 2d8+18 points of damage and then flinging the creature 2d6 x 10 feet through the air. The flung creature suffers fall damage as normal.
Overwhelming Tail (Ex) A creature struck by the ultimasaurus's tail attack must make a Fortitude save or be overwhelmed for 1 round. The save DC is 32, or 27 if the attack is made as part of a full-attack action. If the strike is a critical hit and the target fails its save, it is instead overwhelmed for 1d4 rounds and drops anything it is carrying. The save DC is Strength-based.
An overwhelmed creature is staggered and cannot concentrate. If an overwhelmed creature attacks or casts a spell, it falls prone and becomes helpless until the beginning of its next turn after doing so. Effects that would remove or prevent the paralyzed or nauseated conditions also remove or prevent the overwhelmed condition.
Predatory Cunning (Ex) The ultimasaurus is exceptionally intelligent for an animal, showing signs of primitive language and problem-solving abilities. This creature can communicate with tyrannosauruses, velociraptors, triceratops, stegosauruses, and ankylosauruses as though using their own language, though only velociraptors are capable communicating back, and the ultimasaurus is generally incapable of expressing complex thoughts or ideas. The ultimasaurus can, however, direct these other dinosaurs towards prey and coordinate ambushes.
This ability grants the ultimasaurus and the allies it can communicate with a +2 bonus on initiative checks. It also allows the ultimasaurus to communicate the findings of a successful Perception check or the location of a hidden target pinpointed with scent to another dinosaur it can communicate with as a free action. Additionally, the ultimasaurus can smell blood, gaining a +2 bonus on attack rolls and Perception checks made against a target that is suffering bleed damage. Finally, if the ultimasaurus ever gains a higher Intelligence score, such as by way of an awaken spell, the ultimasaurus gains an additional +4 bonus to its Intelligence score.

Re-Imagined take on the Indoraptor
Tumblr media
my indoraptor is a hybrid of Dakotaraptor(50%) Maip(30%) Pegomastax(20%) Deinosuchus(10%) Tyrannosaurus(15%) and Spinosaurus(10%) (i can let you all guess which part of these animals you can see on the design!)
My Indoraptor is the same size as the original one and it is not shrink-wrapped, it has a slightly larger head and it is build more like a tyrannosaur and has excellent binocular vision like the t rex, it also has heterodonty thanks to T rex and pegomastax genes, longer and powerful arms thanks to spinosaurus and Maip and since Maip is a megeraptoran my indoraptor just like the original can pronate its wrists, it is a powerful runner running on all fours at 50 miles per hour to chase down its prey!
heres a better skull anatomy than the OG skull which had no fucking brain casing
Tumblr media
thats all i have if im being honest! I was originally making some kind of fun little scenario for the hybrid but im too lazy and im out of ideas due to writting Daikaijuverse! anyways you can leave your thoughts on my take of the indoraptor down here that would be appreciated!
ngl i can just turn this thing into an entirely spec evo dinosaur but oh well-

Making of Dinotrux: New Dawn - Characters p1
Introducing everyone to my new project: Dinotrux: A new Dawn! Its gonna be about the next generation of Dinotrux and follows the fam's kids: Ty's daughter Chase, Dozers son Ronto, Ton Tons son Fireball, Skya's daugther Coralle, D Structs' daughter and son Lagoon and D Cay, and Revvits daughter Adelynn.
This oc is Gallox, a female T Trux. She is on the evil side, from a still - secret villain :)
Her name is Gallox.
Tumblr media
This is my favourite drawing of her. I really like her design (she was slightly based on D Structs) This'll be her character profile.
Tumblr media
Name: Gallox
Nicknames: Gally, Gal, Lady
Age: 22 - 23
Species: Tyrannosaurus Trux (Dinotrux)
Gender: female (she/her)
Ambilities & powers: wrecking ball with pickaxe blades, sharp vision and teeth, incomplete mutation: Horns and longer arms.
Personality: Gallox is a no nonsense fighter and will always drive right into battle. Since she works for [Villain] she has become colder, but she isnt sadistic or psychopatic. Despite her cold attitude, she has a soft spot for kids. Gallox has never been really outgoing, she likes to be alone. She doesnt really care about [Villain] and his ways, she mostly lets him do whatever he wants, but not if its about her.
Relationships with the crew
Ty
Gallox and Ty started out quite rough - the first interaction they ever had was a fight at the roof of a prison. Ty slammed his wrecking ball into her face, striking her eye and injuring her really bad. Due to this Gallox had to give up the fight. Later, when Chase was found back, Ty and Gallox had to work together to escape and help D Structs out, wich resulted in them making amends. When Gallox realized what [Villain] had done she sided with Ty, who thanked her for protecting his daughter earlier.
Dozer
Dozer did not trust Gallox at all in the beginning. Later, he starts listening because he knows Gallox knows her way in the prison. Gallox didnt want any drama and mostly left Dozer alone.
Skya
Gallox had little interaction with Skya, but whenever the guys commented on her being a villain and that they didnt trust her, Skya would tell her things like "And welcome to my world". Gallox has said she thinks its incredible that Skya managed to live with 7 guys and only 2 fellow girls for 19 years.
Ton Ton
Gallox first left Ton Ton alone because she thought he was a bit annoying, but later she started liking his outgoingness and love for fun and rampjumping. Her interaction with Ton Ton ismostly her shushing him or telling him to be quiet, but later she starts laughing more when Ton Ton says or does something stupid again.
Claire
Gallox and Claire did NOT get along in the beginning. Claire is usually very quiet, but when you touch her kids, you are dead metal. Gallox has had two physical fights with Claire. Claire refused to trust Gallox, but when she learned Gallox was just doing what she was told, Claire understood more and followed Gallox better. They never really became friends, mostly from Claire's side.
D Structs
D Structs was saved by Ty and Gallox at the prison. He first questioned Gallox, but stopped when he learned what happened from Ty.
Created by me :D
For Dinotrux New Dawn.
I hope yall like New Dawn :)
Goodbye

Extinction Curse Session 2024/08/21 (Part 2)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally, the adventurers marched to the end of Pier Road to find...the Willowside Pier.
Midori offered to scout ahead, finding two tyrannosaurus rexes off to the east, complete with xulgath riders, and a smaller xulgath standing in a field covered with a fog of stench.
"This time, they'll understand," Midori said to herself. She turned to the party and used the simplest of tactical hand signals to relay what she saw. They signaled back with the simplest of tactical hand signals, including some very rude ones, to indicate that they could not understand her.
The incredible kitsune scout sighed with resignation, returned to the party, and told them in hushed whispers what she had seen.
"Midori!" Zookdar spoke to her in a normal tone of voice, "You're making too much noise! They'll hear us!"
Surely enough, the enemies took notice of our heroes. The large dinosaurs strode toward their position.
Zookdar released a mighty battle cry to demoralize one of the T-rexes, making it take pause. Lysander panicked and covered the party in an invisibility sphere. The other T-rex entered the sphere, looking for the invisible adventurers it was sure it had just seen. While it sniffed around, the small xulgath approached along with its sphere of stench, which sickened the entire party and caused acid damage.
Frozen in his tracks, Zookdar advised quietly, "Stay where you are. Their vision is based on movement." The dinosaur turned its head to face the gnome.
Lysander corrected him, "No, that hypothesis has been thoroughly debunked! Good thing we're invisible, though. They have excellent vision, excellent hearing, and a good sense of smell." The T-rex began to sniff more deeply.
"Oh, gods," Zookdar shot back, "they're going to go for Midori first."
"Hey!" Midori protested. The T-rex quickly twitched its head to face the kitsune ringmaster. "Shit! I'd better―" She struck with her rapier, hitting with a decent thrust, breaking the invisibility sphere's effect on her. Having been ordered to hold its attack until the first hero became visible, the tyrannosaurus bit at Midori, attempting to catch and swallow her. Fortunately, she was able to dodge at the last second and make a tactical retreat.
To slow down the enemies, The Redeemer cast a spell, causing a large area of the field surrounding the dinosaurs to sprout razor-sharp slivers of metal. The tyrannosaurus that snapped at Midori ran at her again, cutting up its legs on the razors.
After a few exchanges between the party and their foes, Midori spied an opportunity. She pointed at a spot in the middle of the xulgaths and dinosaurs, shouting, "Orbison! KILL!" Her star orb shot forth a cloud of toxic gas.
Meanwhile, The Redeemer placed traps between the T-rexes and the party. He advised the heroes, "Run away from this spot!"
Surely enough, one of the dinosaurs ran through a trap, setting it off. Lysander stepped in to rip its spirit, finishing it off. A blow from Zookdar's flickmace bloodied its rider, and the persistent radiant damage finished him off.
The small, smelly xulgath took a swing at Zookdar in revenge but missed.
Midori sang:
🎶🎶🎶
T-rex, T-rex
Runnin' through the field
Smack him with a rock
An' make him squeal!
🎶🎶🎶
She launched a telekinetic projectile at the remaining dinosaur, killing it.
With the dinosaurs dead, the adventurers focused on the xulgaths. A well-aimed shot from Lysander's hex blaster gun bloodied the smelly xulgath, causing its bile sac to rupture. Fortunately, nobody was harmed in the explosion. Finally, Midori snuck up to the dino rider and finished him off with her rapier.
The battle over, Lysander and Midori took a few minutes to heal up the party. As Midori was applying a bandage to Zookdar, the gnome pointed to the horizon. "There's the ship! The Geode's Center! She's arriving ahead of schedule and COMING IN HOT!"
The team turned to look. The ship had heavy damage and was under attack by two sea serpents. On the ship's prow stood a gnome woman, casting spells at the beasts.
The Redeemer shouted, "To arms!"
Midori yelled, "Save the ship at all costs! They're carryin' a load of booze an' snacks!"
Both serpents struck at the ship, while The Redeemer rode his raptor to the shoreline. He called upon his magics, permanently blinding them with a Sunburst spell. Midori ordered her star stone. "Orbison, reload! Kill them!" The sea serpents coughed and thrashed about in the resulting cloud of poison. Zookdar ran down the pier to get closer to the action.
Blinded and unable to breathe above water, the serpents literally turned tail and fled! "Huh, that was easy," Midori remarked.
The Geode's Center docked at the pier safely. Lysander and Zookdar boarded to speak to the crew and passengers. Zookdar attempted to recruit people to join the Circus of Wayward Wonders, while Lysander played music to accompany him. As it turned out, Javi, the gnome woman, was a river druid with a good idea for a circus act, and she agreed to join.
The heroes then departed for their next destination: the dinosaur corrals.

I still marvel at just how well-adapted Tyrannosaurus rex was to being an apex predator (and how wilfully blind the "T-rex could only scavenge folks are).
-Not just the giant, literally bone-crushing jaws, but:
-Extremely keen senses of sight, hearing, and smell, including binocular vision.
-Relatively high intelligence, anywhere from crocodilian (which is still quite smart) to primate or cetacean, depending on who you ask.
-Possible pack hunter.
-Fucking PADS ON ITS FEET so this elephant-sized beast could sneak up quietly on prey.
-Oh, and while the fully grown ones were giant bone crushers, the juveniles were light and fast, so they could hunt different prey, avoid competing with each other, and basically corner all the large land predator niches (the younger ones, its speculated, might also have used their speed to chase prey toward ambushes by the heavier adults, if they pack-hunted).
There is literally no other large land predator known from the same times and places as T-rex, but its skeletons are everywhere.
Vertebrates did not create a more perfect predator until humans.

Lived around the mid-Cretaceous period, discovered in the early 20th century, known for his shark like teeth, this dinosaur is known as one of the biggest carnivorous dinosaurs ever discovered. The Carcharodontosaurus, A.K.A, Shark-Toothed Reptile. He's estimated to be 45 feet long and weights 11 tonnes. Bigger than the Tyrannosaurus Rex, but slightly smaller than the Giganotosaurus. He lived in North Africa during the Cretaceous period, around 100 to 93 million years ago. Also in North Africa was the Spinosaurus, a larger predator, and multiple herbivores for Carcharodontosaurus to hunt down and feast on.
Some studies shown that Carcharodontosaurus, due to his eyes being on the side of his head, may have pretty limited vision, and binocular vision that is compared to that of a Crocodile. Despite being bigger than a T-Rex, his brain... Not so much, it's much smaller than a Rex's brain, and many people thought that the dinosaur is a stupid dumb-dumb.
Donty's bite force is around 20,000 newtons, which is pretty strong in its own right. And he probably ran up to 20 mph, pretty fast for a big boy like him!
To learn more about Donty, feel free to lookup the Wikipedia page. Overall, Carcharodontosaurus is a pretty cool and intimidating predator.

“In every block of marble I see a statue as plain as though it stood before me, shaped and perfect in attitude and action. I have only to hew away the rough walls that imprison the lovely apparition to reveal it to the other eyes as mine see it.”
If you're like me, then you too spend a lot of time thinking about 16th Century sculptor and painter Michaelangelo.
It's okay. You can admit it. This is a safe space. I'll be the first to admit I think about Michaelangelo at least three times out of every week—and for good reason! You see...
Stephen King once said that writing a story is like being an archaeologist.
You use the tools of your craft to unearth something truly special, careful not to damage or break apart the greater whole.
Sometimes, you find a little seashell, preserved just for you, as if it was waiting all along for you to put it against your ear. To hear the rising swells of the ocean; the vast, indefinite blue.
Sometimes, you find a Tyrannosaurus rex. The legendary king of the tyrant lizards, what with its rattling iron maiden ribcage and its enormous, eyeless skull. Grinning, gleefully, up at you. Its teeth like sabers; it's so happy to see you. It's been waiting all this time—for you.
Creativity, or rather, the act of creating, may sometimes feel that way. It could feel, like it does to Mr. King, and like it does to me, that the act of creating is not unlike the act of searching, finding, unearthing, preserving, and displaying. You found this—it's all yours—now try and dig it out of our ancient earth without missing even a single piece.
Our Renaissance man Michaelangelo had the same idea. In every one of his marble sculptures, perfectly preserved within that solid rock, was his vision made manifest. He only needed to chisel it right out—to trim away the fat, the fluff, the unneeded. Then, when he was finished, he took a step back and admired his creation. He admired every seashell and T-Rex he had ever freed.
I've been thinking a lot about the book I'm going to write this year. In just one month, its changed shape many times. I'm not sure if it's a seashell or a T-Rex myself. Every time I brush something away—kneeling in the dirt and the mud as I am—I find something else. A groove here. An impression there. A stray fragment, or a broken tooth?
What kind of treasure will I dig up for us? What's been hiding beneath my feet all this time, waiting for me, willing to greet me with a great big smile, or the great blue sea?
I look forward to finding out with you. ❤️
