Lord Zeus, Lord Tyr, I pray to you to bring justice to those killed and who's homes were stripped from them
Lord Ares, Lord Thor, I pray to you to give strength to those protesting bravely against this corrupt government funding this genocide
Lord Njordr, Lady Hathor, Lady Aphrodite, Lady Demeter, I pray to you to bring abundance and love and comfort to Palestine's children, for mercy upon the land that has been destroyed, for life to be salvaged and to flourish
I pray to all the gods for this genocide to end and for the corrupt system that feeds this genocide gets the justice they deserve.

Feeder of the Wolf 🐺
Tumblr media
Tyr, meaning "king," was a powerful deity in Norse mythology. He was known for his bravery, wisdom, and justice. His most notable attribute was his missing right hand, which was devoured by Fenrir, the ravenous giant wolf sired by Loki, and the jötunn, Angrboda.
Tyr was either the son of Odin, the "All Father" and king of gods, or Hymir, a giant from an obscure section of the Poetic Edda called the Hymiskviða. Most scholars believe that Odin was Tyr's true father. Tyr was a half-sibling to the chief members of the Aesir tribe, including Thor, Baldur, Váli, Vidarr, Heimdall, Hermod, Bragi, and Hodr.
Tyr appeared as a central character in only two myths: the Hymiskvitha and the Kettle of Giants. In the Hymiskvitha, The gods commissioned a durable set of fetters, called Gleipnir, to confine Fenrir for good. Fenrir grew suspicious of the gods' attempts to ensnare him, but agreed to the game after placing an arm in his mouth.
Tyr's fate during Ragnarök was revealed in the Gylfaginning, where he would both slay and be slain by the wolf Garmr. The text also revealed Tyr's fate during the "twilight of the gods."

⚔️INTRODUCTION⚔️
Tumblr media
Hey y’all! Welcome to my Blog, I’m Chronicorpse but feel free to call me Connor. I’m 21, I enjoy drawing, and I’m a practicing Heathen polytheist norse pagan :) my boyfriend also has his own Hellenic polytheist blog @0thereitas0 so go check out his stuff!
My Practices: I’m still relatively new to Norse paganism but I worship the god of war and divine justice Tyr ᛏ. I mainly use this blog as a means of reblogging and gathering any and all things related of Tyr such as prayers, posts, art, and information as I know there is very little easy to access info to him across the internet. I wish this blog to serve as a small library of things I have found for other worshipers of Tyr to connect and learn from on tumblr.
On all things other than Tyr, I’ve recently have felt a strong urge to connect with the sun goddess Sol ᛋ. I’m also learning and practicing with elder Futhark Runes while performing readings or in sigil making!
WARNING: I am part of the lgbt community, if you are homophobic, mysoginistic, racist, a white supremacist, a Zionist, or at all using my religion as a means to show hate or neo-Nazi shit, you are not welcome.
This is a religious blog, so if you are a in a fandom such as marvel or god of war keep it on the low plz. I am a big fan of god of war too but please recognize THIS IS A REAL LIFE RELIGION WITH REAL GODS! NOT A FANDOM BLOG!
PS: I hope to interact with yall thank yall for hearing me :) have a great day and HAIL TYR

Fenrir and Tyr don’t feel at odds to me, at least not in the way many people may assume.
To me, they are the sides of the same coin. Both representing the same thing, just in different ways.
Fenrir’s binding and betrayal is not just about oath breaking but the loss of the social contract and the rage that wells up from it, to me at least. Depending on the telling of the tale, Fenrir can come across as already suspicious that the Aesir are going to trick him and thus it is why he asks for Tyr’s battle hand. Because he senses something afoot. And depending on the telling, Tyr readily accepts the loss of his hand. He knows that which must be done and to do so requires not only sacrifice but consequence of his actions. The Aesir trick Fenrir into being bound, Tyr offers his hand in recompense, and Fenrir rages.
While in a previous post I noted the consequence and fairness of Tyr losing his hand in order to bind Fenrir, we can’t overlook the trickery in the first place. Fenrir was only viewed as a threat because Odin had visioned it, but in turn trying to prevent Fenrir from becoming a foe Odin seals his fate by tricking Fenrir into being bound.
Maybe it’s just the 3 am thoughts, but Tyr and Fenrir feel like two sides of the social contract conundrum.

LoZ: Fierce Deity Portrayal
You know something? I've seen a bunch of different portrayals of FD in the fandom. Both the LoZ fandom & the LU sub-fandom, but I've yet to see one that showcases him in a similar light to the Norse god of war & justice, Týr. Or just him as a Kishin/Pāla like he's portrayed as in canon. Or him taking inspiration from Tsukuyomi.
Which is much more in-line with how I see him. Though more so a Týr who's a stoic, melancholic, shy, selectively mute introvert whose been deeply traumatized by the evils of mankind he's had to face in the thousands of years that he'd been tasked (by himself, mind; this wasn't something that was forced on him, he chose to take up the sword of his own accord, no one even told him to) with purging Hyrule of Demise's influence before Hylia became the patron deity of Hyrule. With a hell of a protective & fatherly instinct. (So, somewhat Batman-adjacent.)
Still brave, just, & deeply empathetic, but has trouble showing it & his terrifying appearance & aura does nothing to help with it.
Because, I absolutely think that he'd see all the Links & all the Zeldas minus Sun as his children. And he's liable to fillet the flesh from the bones of anyone who tries to harm them.
And the Hylians & Sheikah as his sort of spiritual children based on the fact that I hc the 2 having been created in conjunction by FD & his wife, Hylia.
That, they were made in such a way that the only way to force either into extinction is by killing off both races. Otherwise, killing off all of one will simply cause the other to begin producing a new generation of them.
So, killing all of the Sheikah would result in Hylians beginning to have new Sheikah & vice versa.
It's sort of a self-preservation mechanism.

A short prayer to Týr
Listen wide and open to your eyes to him:
To his presence in the sky, along the edges of our world.
Týr is his name, the One who knows no fear,
Who alone fed the Fen-Dweller when its form frightened all.
Glorious is he, this Justice Maker,
And great above all is his bravery,
For he is foremost of battle-bold warriors
And exactor of the fairest judgement.
His voice makes courage to flood your veins,
When you are petrified, and paralyzed by fear,
And he extends his one arm to help you to your feet.
His eyes gleam with righteous fury,
When you are betrayed or wronged,
And he stands at your side in all his might.

Tyr Deity Guide
Tumblr media
Who is Tyr?
Tyr, or Týr, is a Norse god and member of the Aesir associated with justice, the law, and the formalities of war. He is also the guardian of oaths, treaties, and contracts. In interpretatio romana he is equated to the Roman god of war, Mars. His most well-known role is in the story Gylfaginning where he loses his arm. To some, it is this story that has earned Tyr the title of the bravest Norse god.
Parents and Siblings
Hymir (according to the poetic edda)
Hrod
Odin (according to Sturluson)
If he’s the son of Odin then his siblings (half-siblings) include:
Thor
Baldur
Váli
Vidarr
Heimdall
Hermod
Bragi
Hodr
Lovers or Partners
There is reference of a wife in Lokesenna but no name given.
Children
There is reference of a son in Lokesenna but no name given.
Epithets
The one-handed/armed god
Thingsus (*Þingsaz 'thing-god')
Feeder of the wolf/Fosterer of the Wolf
Notes
Tyr’s most popular story, Gylfaginning, tells of the deal he makes with Fenrir. Only Tyr was brave enough to approach Fenrir in order to feed him. This created a kinship between the two.
The gods tricked Fenrir by telling him that the various chains presented were testaments to his strength, and they congratulated him with cheers when he broke through them. Eventually, they presented the impossible chains made by the dwarves. Suspecting trickery, Fenrir demanded that, as a sign of good faith, one of the gods place their hand in his mouth as the chains were placed on him. Tyr stepped up to this task. As soon as Fenrir’s suspicions were verified and he realized he couldn’t break free, he bit off Tyr’s arm.
It was said that the gods laughed at the trapped wolf, except for Tyr.
Tuesday comes from Týsdagr, or “Týr’s Day”.
The name “Tyr” comes from Old Norse Týr which means “a god” or “the god”. Old Norse  Týr, Old English Tiw, Old High German *Ziu, Gothic Tyz, Proto-Germanic *Tiwaz, “god” (Orel, Vladimir. 2003. A Handbook of Germanic Etymology. p. 408.)
Tyr is not the only god involved in war, Thor and Odin are also known as gods of war, though they reigned over three different aspects of war. Tyr is the law and justice, Odin is wisdom, and Thor is more brute force.
Tyr’s name is the namesake for the Tiwaz rune, ᛏ, representing “t”.
During Ragnarök, Tyr’s death was supposed to be caused by the wolf Garmr whom he would kill at the same time.
Tyr may be linked to the Proto-Indo-European deity *Dyeus the god of the daytime sky as well as a deity of justice, though nothing links Tyr to the sky in mythology.
Tyr is said to have a grandmother with nine hundred heads.
