Here's another of my Typhoid Mary cosplay pics 📷 It's from the same shoot as the ones I've already posted, but I thought I'd make it a bit different by adding some flames at the sides ️‍🔥️‍🔥️‍🔥 Why? Mainly because they look funky, but also because it totally ties in with the character's ability to start fires with her mind. Btw, in case anyone doesn't know, the name Typhoid Mary is a reference to a real-life Irish American called Mary Mallon, who was given the nickname because she worked as cook after contracting typhoid and infected over a hundred other people... a total ☣️☣️superspreader☣️☣️ It went on to become a term for anyone who spreads misfortune, so was a perfect fit for the Marvel Mary. Also, the character always has a fever when she's in Typhoid mode 🤢🤢 Maybe I should wait until I have the flu or something before I cosplay her again to get the proper look. It's food for thought. Anyway, thanx sooo much for checking this picture out. Watch this space for more 👀

So this has nothing whatever to do with the pic I'm posting, but I've just found out that one of my poems is going to be published and I'm super excited😊😊😊 The poem is called THE RHYME OF THE ANCIENT MARRIER and it's appearing on the Heroica storytelling platform, which specialises in exploring gender oppression and other feminist themes♀️. It's definitely on point, though it's more light-hearted than some of the stuff you find on there. The title is obviously a play on the RIME OF THE ANCIENT MARINER by Coleridge, who I've always been kind of interested in, as I was named after another of his poems, and it's about a run in between a girl and a lecherous old man 👧👴. I've only had one other piece of writing in print, so this is a big deal for me. In fact, excuse me for a sec while I give an excited scream 🗣️EEEEEEEK! I have no idea when it's happening, but you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be announcing it here when it does. Anyway, I should talk about the photo. As you can see, it's another Typhoid Mary shot📷 I'm very slowly drawing my sword ⚔️ (or my friend's sword to be more precise), as I think it makes a nice contrast to the way the character fights, which is like a whirlwind🌀🌀... a Typhoid typhoon. It's the calm before the storm and what a storm it will be. Let's just say anyone who gets in its way will be blown away. I'm pretty pleased with the way the shot turned out... the pose totally looks like something out of a comic and you get a good view of my costume. Hopefully people agree.
So long for now, Christabel ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Here's another Typhoid Mary pic 📷 I've been doing a bit of research on the character since my last post (the G👀gle kind, not the poring over dusty books in a library kind 📖) and thought I'd share a bit of what I found ‍🏫 She was actually created by Annie Nocenti, who was a writer on the Daredevil comics from 1986 to 1991, but has popped up all over the place since then. This is what Nocenti says about her origin... "As for where Typhoid came from, you'll have to ask the shrink I've as yet never gone to. I think I wanted to shatter the female stereotypes– virgin, whore, bitch, ditz, feminist, girl scout, all-suffering mother, et al. – into tiny fragments and yet keep all the pieces in the same little female bundle." I think that sums Mary up pretty well. She's super interesting and Nocenti used her to explore a bunch of stuff you don't normally find in comics, like the roles of women in society, militant feminism and the nature of identity. As I've said before, the character has a few different personalities and the one I had in mind when I made my costume was the Typhoid one. Typhoid has access to Mary's mutant powers and is kind of kinky, but isn't as ruthless and mad at the patriarchy as Bloody Mary😠😠😠). I was imagining some enemy had got the better of me when I posed for this particular shot👊, but never fear... I'm down, but not out. Typhoid Mary is seriously bad ass and doesn't die easily. Watch this space for more from this shoot and loads of other cosplay stuff.

Hey Peeps, It's me Christabel with another cosplay pic. If you've seen any of my other photos on here, you'll know I always have stuff to say about them, and this one's no different, but before I get into it, I just wanted to take a minute to thank all of you out there who support me. I'm super thankful for it and have sooo much 💜 for you 😊😊😊 And now, back to the pic. It's another Typhoid Mary one, this time from the back. I was getting pretty hot under the lights by this point🥵, so as you can see, I'd ditched my jacket, which in hindsight might have been a mistake, as it feels like I lost a lil of the character. I also don't like that you can't see my makeup, as this is such a big part of the Typhoid Mary look, but you do get to see bits of the costume you can't see in other shots and as far as pics of my butt go, this isn't the worst, so I shouldn't complain. Plus, I think the pose is typical Mary, as she's all about sexuality, busting apart patriarchal rules😈😈, madness, lust, etc. There's a famous quote about her... "This woman is on fire🔥🔥🔥, and the fire even has a name - Typhoid." A great character and one I can't get enough of. More pics coming soon, and as always, any 💜 is super appreciated.
