wishing people would understand (and advertisers would stop giving the impression) that herbal remedies don't actually work like fantasy potions where you have a Symptom and they magically target that Symptom specifically-- they work exactly like pharmaceutical medicines but at a less concentrated scale, and it can interact poorly with them if you are already using them.
ashwagandha doesn't "lower your anxiety", it reduces your cortisol levels, which can in turn lower your blood pressure and interact with other adrenal and BP meds. ginkgo doesn't "help you think", it dilates your blood vessels and is an anti-platelet, which increases cerebral bloodflow but can interact with other circulatory meds. grapefruit seed extract is an incredible antifungal but it will inhibit enzymes that break down many types of medication and lead to blood toxicity of those meds.
i've worked in this industry since before insta/tiktok was a major force in advertising for it and i've watched the swing from people generally being educated about this niche thing they have come in to buy to "i saw on tiktok that this will give me energy"
.... will it? have you had bloodwork done? are you adequately absorbing your nutrition? are you getting sunlight? stop being scammed by symptom-centric buzzwords. anything that promises it will give you energy or help you focus or whatever else hinges entirely on your body chemistry fitting very certain criteria and a lot of people end up disappointed when that cordyceps did nothing for them when it turns out they're low on stomach acid and not synthesizing their B vitamins correctly or something else that is way above my paygrade to determine.
the american healthcare system is a shitshow and people often have no choice but to take their treatments into their own hand, but "natural remedies" want your money just as bad as "big pharma" and it's up to the individual to do their epistemological due diligence when treating themselves. godbless.

A young vineyard worker accused of raping Gisèle Pelicot on six occasions over four years when she had been drugged by her husband also proposed drugging and raping his own mother, a court has heard.
Charly A, 30, is one of 51 men on trial over the rape of Gisèle Pelicot, whose then husband, Dominique Pelicot, crushed sleeping tablets and anti-anxiety medication into her food and invited dozens of men to rape her while she was unconscious over a nine-year period from 2011 to 2020 in the village of Mazan in Provence. Dominique Pelicot has admitted the charges, telling the court: “I am a rapist.”
Gisèle Pelicot, 72, a former logistics manager, has become a feminist hero after insisting that the rape trial of her ex-husband and the other men be held in public to raise awareness of the use of drugs and sedation to rape women, having said: “It’s not for us to have shame, it’s for them.”
Charly A, a vineyard worker who later packed lorries for a cement company, is accused of driving to the Pelicots’ home on six occasions between 2016 and 2020 to rape Gisèle Pelicot in her bedroom alongside Dominique Pelicot, who had drugged her into a comatose state.
On the first occasion, Charly A was aged 22 and Gisèle Pelicot was aged 64. Charly A and Dominique Pelicot are also accused of raping Gisèle Pelicot in her bed on the night of her 66th birthday.
Charly A denied rape, saying: “I never had the intention to rape.” He said Dominique Pelicot, whom he had met online, had invited him to the couple’s home and told him that Gisèle Pelicot would be “pretending to be asleep”. He said: “I was told it was a scenario in which she was asleep. In that scenario, she was consenting. For me, I didn’t intend to rape. I didn’t want to rape her, I didn’t want to do something bad to that family.”
Charly A had spent part of his childhood in Mazan and lived a 30-minute drive away.
Video evidence showed a whispered conversation in Gisèle Pelicot’s bedroom between the two men, in which they discuss a plan to drug and rape Charly A’s mother in the same way. In the footage, Charly A says he will give an address and date for this to take place. Both men told the court this conversation took place, but said they did not rape Charly A’s mother.
Charly A’s mother, a personal care assistant and mother of three, had lived in Mazan and in different parts of the Vaucluse area of southern France.
Charly A was asked in court why he had suggested he and Dominique Pelicot rape his mother. He said he was afraid of Dominique Pelicot, who had asked him if there was another woman in his family or entourage who he would like to rape or see raped.
Charly A said he suggested his own mother “because it was the only woman who came to mind”. He said Dominique Pelicot was “insistent”, so he gave him a photo of his mother. Charly A told the court he had never intended to go through with it and kept making excuses. He said: “I gave the excuse that my little brother was home and my mother had to look after him, so he couldn’t come. Because I wasn’t OK with it.”
Dominique Pelicot gave Charly A three sedative tablets wrapped in silver foil in order for him to sedate his mother, explaining that he should crush them into her food. Charly A told the court that he threw the pills out of his car window that night and never used them. Dominique Pelicot contradicted this, saying that Charly A had instead returned the drugs to him.
Asked in court if he was angry with his mother or hated her, Charly A said he was not. He told the court: “I love my mum as any son loves their mum, nothing special.”
Police testing on a hair sample from Charly A’s mother showed a very low presence of sedatives consistent with a sporadic or single use of sedatives. She told police she had never used that type of medication. “I don’t know how it could be in my body. I don’t understand,” she said.
A court psychiatrist who interviewed Charly A said his “very intense use of pornography” from his early teenage years – including what the psychiatrist called pornographic cliches about mothers and older women – had played a role in his objectification of women.
The psychiatrist said the fact that Charly A regularly went to the Pelicots’ home in December, around Christmas time and in January, could have been related to his depression at having a dysfunctional family, affected by divorce and separation, around the holiday period.
Other accused men have said they were lonely at Christmas. One 63-year-old who is accused of raping Gisèle Pelicot but denied it, said he was “lonely” as “Christmas was approaching and I was going to be on my own again”. Another man, 37, who is accused of raping Gisèle Pelicot one New Year’s Eve and also denies it, said he “had nothing else to do” because his brothers hadn’t invited him to their New Year’s party.
The trial in Avignon continues until 20 December.

i dont like to talk about self-diagnosis because i dont enjoy people making assumptions about me, my illnesses, and my diagnostic status. but i will say:
i have self diagnosed and gone on to be medically validated with an official diagnosis. multiple times actually. i was never wrong about my self-diagnoses.
however, i have been misdiagnosed by professionals FIVE TIMES. and let me tell you, a professional diagnosis being wrong is far more harmful than a self-diagnosis being wrong.
if your self diagnosis is wrong, maybe you used the wrong language or put yourself in a box or now feel invalid and whatnot. but if your professional diagnosis is wrong, it can lead to abuse, medical trauma, panic attacks, issues with medication, even suicide.
i was misdiagnosed with BPD when i was 15 by a psychologist that i spoke to for hardly even 10 minutes. this diagnosis was based on my parent's description of my reactions to abuse, and the diagnosis was used to validate and excuse their abuse.
i was misdiagnosed with MDD when i was 12 and put through several different types of anti-depressants. we never found anything that worked, because it was actually ADHD and dissociation, but i did end up with panic attacks and insomnia all throughout middle/highschool!
when i self-diagnosed with autism however, it saved my life. it took me out of active suicidality because i was able to finally able to accept myself after years of feeling like i am just "being a person wrong". i had the knowledge to accomodate for myself and the language to advocate for myself. this was life changing. even if i was wrong, which i wasnt, i dont see how it couldve caused any harm.
my opinions on self-diagnoses arent black and white, and im not entirely settled on them either, but i do think this is important to understand. doctors and psychologists are not all knowing. we live in a time where we can access thousands of dollars worth of university level education on the internet, even the same exact resources medical students use. plenty of people are capable of interpreting themselves and that information to come to a conclusion about what they are experiencing and what might help.
sure, self-diagnosis might be biased. but a professional is most likely going to be just as biased, and possibly less aware of it. its just silly to use bias as a primary argument when it is an inescapable feature of human psychology. there is a reason ADHD is underdiagnosed in women. there is a reason anxiety disorders are underdiagnosed in men.
an incorrect self-diagnosis wont take away resources or your space in your comminities. but professional misdiagnosis can cause real damage.
(i am not trying to fear-monger about professional diagnosis, moreso responding to the fear-mongering surrounding self-diagnosis)

Title: Bonten omegaverse
Fandom: Tokyo revengers
Chapter: 5
Characters: Bonten
Fic type: story
Pairings: Bonten x reader
Warnings: male reader, reader insert, omegaverse, nsfw themes, Omega reader
Notes: woops
🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
When (name) woke, he was surrounded by his alphas and decided this was a good time to scent claim the room, warding off any omegas that may try shit again.
Dragging his wrist, be began claiming this area with an almost empty expression as his eyes watched around in case anything popped up and attacked.
"Omega, come back to the nest" the alphas had been using their command tones on the other after realizing their regular voices weren't gonna work, hearing (name) grumble and walk back to the nest "good Omega, listening to his alphas so well" Koko commented as he pulled (name) gently back into the nest and into their laps " always behaving so good and making sure the area is safe but leave that to alphas ok?"
(Name) was quiet as he let the alphas scent and kiss him, a soft chirp escaping (name)s lips as he succumbed to the alphas soft touches and kisses.
"God I wish we could put a pup in ya..." Ran mumbled forlorn and (name) didn't really understand what he was saying as he tilted his head, a low growl coming from his stomach "guess we gotta get something else in ya..."
Only four Bonten men were here, Koko, ran, Sanzu and Mochi as the other four went to work albeit begrudgingly.
Sanzu got up and went to go get food only halting when (name) let out a heartbreaking cry that made them all halt "he's only getting food" Mochi tried soothing but due to the nature of this heat and now it was triggered (name) couldnt risk it...then he realized he was missing his other alphas.
"Shit..." Mochi mumbled as (name) began shaking and panicking "calm down Omega, they will be back soon!" The words did nothing as (name) went into full panic mode as his hands went into fists, the tiny claws he had digging into his skin "no no, none of that!" Koko tried prying his hands open only to get swiped at as (name) began scratching at his neck in a pitiful way to use his mating marks to try and get the other alphas to return.
"Sanzu"
"Already on it"
All (name) could hear was a soft shoooting sound and a light sting on his thigh before everything went to black.
Bonten kept (name) in their little hospital ward, sleeping his heat away as the doctors monitored him.
The doctors prescribed (name) anti anxiety and Omegan relaxent pills and hardcore scenting.
"He's going to be incredibly anxious and needy, he shouldn't be alone under any circumstances" the doctor said with urgency "it's bad enough his first heat with you all was traumatic, he can't handle thinking you all abandoned him"
The alphas took this seriously and already made plans to basically carry (name) everywhere and anywhere.
(Name) awoke to a shooting pain and a splitting headache, world hazy and slow as he tried to get himself together as the bright light of the medical ward blinded him slightly.
"Call them, hes up" a voice rang out making (name) tense up as he focused around him.
Bonten was there in less than ten minutes, practically rushing to see their mate who looked one step away from a breakdown "what a beautiful boy, hello darling" sweet words, gotta make him feel good. "What happened?" (Name) mumbled clinging to Mochi, feeling a weird panic not being near his alphas, his Omega not feeling safe by any means.
His brain couldn't shake off the feeling of a threat.
"Here's his care sheet and suppliments he will need to take daily to make up for what he lost during his heat" the doctor said as Mochi lifted (name) up "remember, he can't be alone, he's fragile right now"
(Name) let himself be carried, disoriented and unsure of what to do... All he knew is he felt betrayal and he couldn't figure out why.
"Did we...?" (Name) couldn't get the rest of the words out as he gripped Mochis jacket, awkward about the subject because if they had... He was for sure pregnant and he wasn't sure if he was ready for pups yet.
And he knew how demanding his Omega could be.
"We didn't sadly, there were... complications" Koko said moving to kiss (name) as to not have any more questions leave his lips, thankfully (name) was dealing with a post heat hangover to ask to many questions.
When they got into the penthouse, (name) was set on the plush couch, large and soft causing (name) to instinctively lay on it. His head was spinning, finding comfort in the soft material as ran crouched before him and gently pet his head "don't worry baby we will take care of you"
Sanzu put together the rotation, the criminals realising it would be unnecessary danger to let the Omega leave the house under any circumstances.
He was Bontens Omega after all, no risk was worth it if these hyper obsessed alphas bad to do anything about it.
(Name) just snuggled more into the couch, too exhausted to reply and Bonten was honestly fine with that.
Less questions the better.
(Name) looked at his wrist, realizing he had been claimed and his Omega was preening at the fact his alphas claimed him.
(Name) himself didn't know how to feel about it, he always read that when you get claimed it's the most romantic thing ever but... He doesn't really remember much of anything.
Suddenly a wave of loneliness washed over him and he shakily sat up and glanced around, seeing Mikey on a chair and (name)s inner Omega practically cried at how far the pack alpha was "alpha.." the words slipped from his lips as Mikey glanced over to him with a slight head tilt and his usual dead expression and (name) just stared at him, unsure what he wanted to say.
"Omega" Mikey's voice smooth in (name)s ears as (name) watched Mikey get into a different position and pat his thigh and (name) wasn't sure if it was him or his Omega but the speed of which he went to the other would have embarrassed the shit out of him if he wasn't so stressed and needy at the moment.
Mikey looked up at the omega in his lap who was unsure what to do "what do you want Omega?" Mikey asked softly, a blunt edge to his voice and (name) looked contemplative "can... can we perhaps go on a date?"
"A date?"
"Well you guys know so much about me and I want to get to know you guys, things are moving really fast..." Mikey stared at him almost thoughtfully as his hands rubbed the others outer thighs gently, it wasn't a crazy demand... It was actually quite reasonable.
"That's all you want?" Mikey asked and (name) nodded, the blond glancing over to takeomi "arrange dates for each member" he instructed before turning back to (name) "my compensation" he mumbled before pulling (name) into a kiss, gently gripping his throat gently as (name) made a soft sound and let the other pull him close.
"Dibs on date one!" They could hear Koko tell as Sanzu swore him out.

Types of Spells
When I talk about spell types, I'm not referring to different spells, as in a protection spell versus an anti-anxiety spell. I'm going to go over the different types of:
Spell Jars Most of what's on this list are going to be self-explanatory, but these types of spells are typically in a glass jar and have ingredients like herbs, flowers, incense, essential oils, and liquids, and are sealed using wax. Spell jars do not actually have to be in glass jars, you can use old medication bottles, empty seasoning bottles, gum containers. These types of spells are meant to last years, decades if needed.
Spell Candles These are typically used for a quicker and more prolonged spell. The bigger the candle the longer it's going to take to burn all the way down. If you want to use something like a tea-light, take the candle and the wick out and place the herbs on the bottom, making sure to burn the candle all the way. You do not need to burn the entire candle all at once to get the effect you desire. Remember, this is a *personal* practice.
Sachets These are fabric pouches, with herbs and typically stuffed with cotton so one may sleep with the satchet. I highly recommend researching your cultures history(ies) with sachets as they all differ and diverge from one another. (It's quite fascinating to see the synchronicities.)
Scroll Spells I mentioned these in a previous post of mine and I've been wanting to discuss these as I don't see many of any one else talk about them. I got the inspiration from Naruto, although if you wanted to you could take inspiration from other pieces of media, from the scrolls used when summoning animals and types of ninja tools. You take a piece of paper, I prefer to use construction paper (use that colour magick!), and write a small ask of what you need and/or what you want, along with a sigil or as many sigils you want! Wrap use the paper and tie a string around it, seal it in wax if you prefer, and Boom you're done! I like to add a small piece of a broken off crystal inside of the drying wax for a bit of extra pizzaz!
A Witch's Box or a Witch's Jar These spells are not-quite all encompassing, these are historically ambiguous as these types of spells are so old, we as humans don't remember what they were once used for. They were typically thought of as a second-body of sorts, as they are tag-locked using urine or hair of that who made it, and spirits and evil-entities would get confused as to where that person's body is, and go after the jar or box.
Charmed Objects These spells are used to charm objects, these can range from your jewelry and make them in something that can protect you, your shoes - to help you go on more adventures, a salt lamp to ward off negative entities, or ornaments/nicknacks around the home to do various tasks. I like to create salt dough, it has protective properties from the salt and creates various shapes - moons, stars, marshmallows - and charming these objects for the associations of these objects.
Petitions These are letters you write or type and print, and set up for manifestations. Sealing the letters in wax definitely help give the vibe of an elder witch practicing.

Herbal tea basics -
Herbal teas can help with a wide range of health issues, depending on the type of tea and the specific properties of the herbs used.
Here are a few examples:
Digestive issues: Ginger, peppermint, and chamomile tea can help soothe an upset stomach, relieve bloating, and aid digestion.
Anxiety & stress: Chamomile, lavender, and lemon balm tea are known for their calming and relaxing properties, and can help reduce feelings of anxiety and stress.
Insomnia: Valerian root, passionflower, and chamomile tea can help promote relaxation and improve sleep quality, making them useful for treating insomnia.
Cold & flu symptoms: Echinacea, elderflower, and ginger tea can help boost the immune system, reduce inflammation, and relieve symptoms of colds and flu.
Menstrual cramps: Ginger and chamomile tea can help relieve menstrual cramps and other symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS).
Headaches: Peppermint and ginger tea can help relieve headaches and migraines, thanks to their anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties.
It's important to note that while herbal teas can be helpful for many health issues, they are not a substitute for proper medical care.
If you have a serious health condition or are taking medication, it's always best to talk to your healthcare provider before using herbal teas or other natural remedies.

Lavender
Lavandula officinalis
Known as: Elf leaf, nard, nardus & spike
Related plants: A member of the mint family Lamiaceae, there are genus of 47 known species of lavender. It includes well known plants such basil, mint, rosemary, sage, savory, marjoram, oregano, hyssop, thyme, lavender, and perilla, as well as catnip, salvia, bee balm, wild dagga & oriental motherwort.
Parts used: Flowers
Habitat and cultivation: This flowering plant is native to the the Mediterranean
Plant type: Perennial
Region: Most are hardy from Zones 5 to 9 | Spanish Lavender (L. stoechas) is only hardy in Zones 7 to 9.
Harvest: You can harvest all the budding spikes or flowers on your plant during the growing season but avoid cutting into woody growth. Don't want to take more than 1/3 of the plant at this time & limiting your harvest to flowers and buds should keep you within recommended limits. As first frost approaches, snip off woody, leafy stems & branching. You can safely take up to 2/3 of the plant at this time. Harvesting too early can stimulate more growth which you don't want since the lavender is moving into winter dormancy.
Growing tips: To grow lavender successfully it needs well-drained soil, full sun & may be a good idea to check the PH beforehand because soil too acidic may kill off your plants. It survives well in dry conditions, so you'll only have to water when the top 2 inches of soil are dry. Plant lavender in spring, once all chances of frost have passed. This beautiful, fragrant herb is a great addition to raised beds, in-ground gardens, and growing in containers spacing plants 12 to 18 inches apart.
Medicinal information: Taking lavender products by mouth, including teas and a specific oil supplement or inhaling lavender oil as aromatherapy, seem to reduce symptoms of depression & anxiety. Lavender oil is believed to have antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, which can help to heal & burns & bug bites. Some studies suggest that consuming lavender as a tea can help digestive issues such as vomiting, nausea, intestinal gas, upset stomach, & abdominal swelling. A study published in the Journal of Medical Microbiology found that lavender oil could be effective in combating antifungal-resistant infections. Using it as aromatherapy can also reduce colic symptoms & menstrual cramp pain.
Cautions: Lavender essential oil is possibly safe when inhaled as aromatherapy, but applying products that contain lavender oil to the skin is possibly unsafe for young cis males who haven't reached puberty. The oil seems to have hormone-like effects that could disrupt normal hormones & in some cases, this has resulted in breast growth.
Lavender might cause sleepiness and slowed breathing. Taking lavender with sedative medications might cause breathing problems and/or too much sleepiness.
Lavender might slow down the central nervous system. If used with anesthesia and other medications given during and after surgery, it might slow down the central nervous system too much. Stop using lavender at least 2 weeks before a scheduled surgery.
Magickal properties

Does Hinamizawa Syndrome Actually Exist?
Keiichi, Shion, Satoshi, Satoko, and Rena all develop extreme paranoia and resort to violence in various timelines
This is just what happens when a young person under extreme stress feels powerless and desperate and goes without food or sleep or healthy social interactions for a long time. All of them have internal justifications for their actions that make sense to them and feel like there's no other choice. Hinamizawa Syndrome functions as a metaphor for all the broader forces that put them in this situation and bear partial responsibility for their actions but precisely because it's a metaphor it's not actually required to explain anything
Satoshi struggles violently when they stop sedating him
Yeah because you kidnapped him and strapped him to a table in a scary looking medical facility. Anyone would be terrified and fight to get away under those circumstances!
Patients have similar delusions (paranoia, footsteps following you, maggots in your throat)
This should actually be expected regardless of Hinamizawa Syndrome since paranoid delusions are very culturally mediated and Hinamizawa has legends about all of these. It's not any more meaningful than American schizophrenics commonly believing that the CIA is spying on them
Hifumi Takano saw many men from Hinamizawa go insane during the war and tear out their own throats
Did he check at what rate non-Hinamizawan soldiers lost their minds and killed themselves after the stress of committing war crimes? Isn't this just selection bias at work? The unique manner of death is interesting but not conclusive beyond their local culture having an approved method of suicide
Irie vivisected the culprit of the dam murder and saw evidence Takano attributed to the disease. Later Irie drilled a hole in Rika's head and Takano vivisected her mother as supposed 'Queen Carriers' and they again saw what they believed to be evidence of Hinamizawa Syndrome
However they never did any controls to check that what they saw wasn't true of all humans or unique to their few victims. A few vivisections with no controls that no one else can attempt to replicate for ethical reasons performed by a scientist with the kind of strong motivation to find evidence that leads to confirmation bias doesn't constitute proof
Irie developed a drug that controls Hinamizawa Syndrome symptoms and a vaccine for the disease. Takano developed a drug that induces symptoms
Anti-psychotics and anti-anxiety drugs both already exist as does drug-induced psychosis. It's totally plausible that they just invented new drugs in these standard categories. Irie supposedly developed a vaccine but Takano was inoculated and still developed symptoms under extreme stress so it's not clear that it's effective
At one point Irie and Takano make the dubious claim that Rika's health controls the health of the whole village and when she's sick everyone gets sick at higher rates
I'm pretty sure this has to be confirmation bias or reverse causation. The whole queen carrier theory is nonsensical anyway and it's canon that the part about her death driving the whole village insane is wrong. It's true that Rika's family has been passed down through firstborn daughters for eight generations straight but that only takes us back a couple hundred years and Hanyuu lived 1000 years ago. What does Takano think happened in generations where the firstborn child didn't have kids or where the main family died out and it went to a cousin or what have you. Rika could easily disprove the whole thing if she just went digging around in the Furude archives and drew a nice family tree
It's somewhat implausible for so many kids in the same area to be at risk of psychosis
This type of mental health issue is very genetic and Hinamizawa is the kind of isolated village where everyone is distantly related. It's more than possible

Shortly after being accepted into the Black Bulls Asta gets put as the stand on medic for his squad by himself .
Late on he gets put as the actual main madic for his squad because Grordon the only other person who knows any sufficient amount of medicine can't heal properly because of his poison element . When people find out he is an actual doctor that is , the with years of practice are a bonus .
One of the first things he does is teach everyone especially Vanessa how to sew wounds . He also starts to give medication to however needs it and overall tries to keep them in good health .
They mainly consist of the following :
Yami :
Immediately got banned from smoking
Would complain from the lack of smoke if he wasn't testing the medical drugs Asta is trying to feed him to detirmen what works best
As a result there are moments he has some of the worst headaches in his life and moments of absolute bliss of no longer having to feel peoples magic at all
Also as a side effects suffers from stomach and/or digestive problems partially because of medication partially because of just genetics
I wanted to keep the gag while giving an explanation and it was either this or making Yami lactose intolerant
Maybe both
Later on got given TheTalk™ from Asta
Finral :
Has mostly normal check-ups
Gets checked regularly for any poison attempt's by both Asta and Gordon
None have worked so far
Absolutely willing to either help or just directly supply any and all medical plants Asta wants
Was the first person to get TheTalk™ from Asta
Nacht :
The moment Asta finally gets his hand on him Nacht is going to pray to every God out there for help
Jokes on him
Asta has WAY more connections than him
He isn't going to like the vaccination
Neither will he like being put before a mind healing specialist doctor but he doesn't have a choice
Because displeasing Asta in the Medic™ mood is going to get all the fear he needs for a lifetime put in him in a few minutes so he shuts up and listens carefully
Nacht doesn't know what he is more - impressed , absolutely terrified or romantically interested in a never before seen by himself way
Apparently he has a type and that is a kind hearted and compasioned very competent absolutely terrifying people
He has no idea how to deal with those feelings especially for people who are half his age
He thought Asta was bad enough on his own and then he met Rebecca
And started to even more seriously question his taste
He didn't start to romantically pursue either of them before they're in their 20's however because he does have standards and one of them is not dating a child or grooming said child
Gordon :
Finally has a doctor who can help him heal without his mana going hare wire
Started to receive both medical cream and better medical make up from Asta to help with his skin condition
He and Asta gave the recipes to his family as the skin condition runs in it
Both of them along with Zora and however knows enough rune magic are trying to make a magical instrument to amplify sound so in a dire situations he can scream for help or to help get peoples attention for something important
Because he has an old scar/wound on his vocal cords making him unable to speak barely above a whisper he carries a notebook to communicate
Gray :
After getting Gray the check up they immediately got to TheTalk™
Both Asta and Gray come to the conclusion that with Gray experiencing very little if any gender dysphoria when constantly transformed might mean they are nonbinary , gender fluid , agender or something else they don't know at the moment
The only thing Asta recommends is more moving and to eat more
Also starts Gray on taking anti anxiety medications
Later after Gray Gordon and Gauche started dating in a trouple he gives them the longer more detailed version of TheTalk™
Gauche :
Asta immediately got up to speed by Mother Theresa(the nun) , Captain Yami and Finral as to their plan to get through Gauche tick skull that he finally has a proper support system and needs to stop being so co-dependent on his sister as it's not healthy for either of them
Asta also starts to search for a mage that can finally properly and more importantly permanently heal the wound in Gauche's nose that causes him to get a nose bleed any time he fell even a speck to much of love , be it platonic or romantic
The wound in question is almost as old as Marie and that and never healed properly
He is in love with his sister PLATONICALLY , not romantically cause that would be nasty
He is practically her parent figure and I don't think I need to explain how fucked it would be for your parent figure to be romantically interested in you , and while I want to point just how desperately he needs help because of all the mental problems he has that line I am not crossong
Also at some point also gets Gauche to start seeing a mind healer regularly because he desperately needs it
Vanessa :
Got banned from drinking permanently
Got started on both anti depression and anti mana overstimulation drugs because she definitely needs it
Charmy :
At first Asta though she had problems
Then later on found out she is just a human-dwarf hybrid and was like "that explains it"
Other than that she is in perfect health
But they both had to re-organize the menu and what ingredients are allowed because the only reason no one is having mana induced cancer is because of Henry taking the extra mana
Fun fact for this - the way we see Charmy is purely stylistic to us to everyone else she looks like a normal young lady around Asta's height when in her dwarf form , in her human form however she is actually taller than Julius
Zara :
The moment Asta finds he is a member he gets the vaccines and the long overdue check up
Also any and all insects he presents to Asta are either getting a) made into medicine , b) given to Charmy to cook or c) eaten raw
Needless to say Zora is both terrified and impressed of Asta
And when he learns Asta full name and does a double take . Because this is the older of the Winter Brothers™ of Hage village !?!
He is honestly surprised he didn't get jumped by the other one
Not that he didn't get death treats stares from Yuno mind you he just didn't realize that Yuno is fully ready to kill him and take care of the body by himself
He is terrified
He also gets bullied by Asta to wear sunscream
Henry :
Gets his check up regularly
Is on a very strict dietary and exorcise plan made by Asta so he is in good health
Also started to get documented by Asta as while there have been people with this curse/sickness in history they are still pretty rare
Nero :
First started getting check ups not by Asta but by a veterinarian
Later it came out she has a human form
Asta has no idea how the Deal™ would have affected Nero so he tries to monitor her health a lot so that he can understand what is healthy for her
Also while looking like a young adult she is very much a grandma at heart , she does mother hen people into seeing Asta
Luck :
Immediately gets started on anti mana overstimulation drugs
Also tried anti anxiety medications, it did not work and if anything it made tings worse
Got permanently put with a mind healer similar to Gauche
Magna :
Got a plan to up his mana capacity by Asta and Charmy
Also got to a mind healer because of self worth issues
Still batshit insane and yet one if not the sanest member of his squad
Noelle :
Asta saw the family issues and mana problems a mile away
And decided she is one of his now effective immediately
She can't go to a mind healer other than Mark because of security reasons but that doesn't stop her family from being a supporting environment
And while therapy is out the table at the moment
She still starts to take medical drugs from Asta like everyone with high mana
Vanessa's and Captain Yami instructions and advices as to how to better her control are very informative and useful
Later on also gets tutored by Klaus on how to move metal mana or just heavier and denser mana
Libei :
Asta is banging his head at the wall but mark his word he will make sure everyone he cares about is safe , healthy and happy and Libei is in that group of people
Asta(himself) :
Has a visit to the doctor around two time a moth
Can actually get given directly to the newbie to use healing as Asta's body will react positive to any healing other than the one using one own mana to do it
Any and all questions are welcome
Might later on also add the future members

What is Idiopathic Mast Cell Activation Syndrome?
Idiopathic Mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS) is one of several mast cell disorders. MCAS occurs when there are a normal number of mast cells in a person's body but they over-release mast cell mediators causing random allergic reactions in multiple systems of the body. MCAS is incredibly common being present in an estimated 17% of the population.
Symptoms
MCAS symptoms are incredibly varied and always occur in multiple systems of the body. Anaphylaxis is common.
[ID: A graphic labeled "Some common symptoms of Mast Cell Disease" A graphic of a person standing in the center with multiple organs visible is shown. Around the person are lines pointing to specific areas of the body labeled with the body system and symptoms. Clockwise these read "Neurological headache, brain fog, cognitive dysfunction, anxiety, depression Cutaneous (Skin) flushing of the face/neck/chest, hives, skin rashes, itching with or without rash Cardiovascular light-heartedness, syncope (fainting), rapid heart rate, chest pain, low blood pressure, high blood pressure at the start of a reaction, blood pressure instability Gynecological uterine cramps, bleeding Urinary bladder irritability, frequent voiding Systemic and/or organ specific Anaphylaxis angioedema (swelling) Skeletal bone/muscle pain, osteopenia, osteoporosis Gastrointestinal diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, bloating, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) Ear/Nose/Throat/Respiratory nasal itching and congestion, throat itching and swelling, wheezing, shortness of breath and more" In the bottom left corner "Symptoms can be sudden and unpredictable in onset learn more at tmsforacure.org"]
MCAS symptoms are specifically not allergies. the reactions may look like allergies but the two are not the same and MCAS is not a condition meaning "many allergies" While MCAS can have some consistent triggers one of the defining features of the disease is that reactions are random and happen unpredictably.
Anaphylactic shock is not a requirement for diagnosis.
Diagnosis
MCAS is diagnosed by an immunologist. It is in part a diagnosis of exclusion and requires ruling out both allergies and systemic mastocytosis as well as other conditions such as certain types of tumors.
Diagnostic criteria for MCAS is debated. Some immunologists follow the symptom-based diagnosis approach in which case the diagnostic criteria are:
Recurring and severe anaphylactic-like episodes that involve more than one organ system
and
Positive response to mast cell stabilizing or mediator medications anaphylaxis-type symptoms
Others follow diagnostic criteria based on laboratory findings. In this case the diagnostic criteria are:
Episodic symptoms consistent with mast cell mediator release affecting two or more organ systems evidenced as follows:
Skin: urticaria, angioedema, flushing
Gastrointestinal: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramping
Cardiovascular: hypotensive syncope or near syncope, tachycardia
Respiratory: wheezing
Naso-ocular: conjunctival injection, pruritus, nasal stuffiness
and
A decrease in the frequency or severity; or resolution of symptoms with anti-mediator therapy: H1 and H2 histamine receptor antagonists, anti-leukotriene medications (cysLT receptor blockers or 5-LO inhibitor), or mast cell stabilizers (cromolyn sodium)
and
Evidence of an elevation in a validated urinary or serum marker of mast cell activation: Documentation of elevation of the marker above the patient’s baseline during a symptomatic period on at least two occasions; or if baseline tryptase levels are persistently >15ng, documentation of elevation of the tryptase above baseline on one occasion. Total serum tryptase is recommended as the markers of choice; less specific (also from basophils) 24 hour urine histamine metabolites, or 11-beta-prostaglandin F2.
and
Primary (clonal) and secondary disorders of mast cell activation ruled out.
These are not all proposed diagnostic criteria as the subject is heavily debated. Generally, a laboratory-confirmed MCAS diagnosis is considered more legitimate.
Treatment
MCAS is a very treatable condition. Generally treatment follows a path from antihistamines -> mast cell mediators -> biologics.
Epipens are given to MCAS patients with a history of anaphylaxis.
Antihistamines are divided into 2 categories: H1 antagonists and H2 antagonists. These categories are determined based on the histamine receptor each one targets.
H1 antagonists mostly deal with systemic and cutaneous symptoms. H1 antagonists are also further divided into first and second generation antihistamines. first generation antihistamines include diphenhydramine (Benadryl) and Hydroxyzine. These tend to cause drowsiness. With second generation H1 antagonists cause fewer side effects and include drugs like loratadine (Claritin) and cetirizine (Zyrtec)
H2 antagonists primarily affect the gastrointestinal tract and include medications like famotidine (pepcid)
Typically when treating MCAS a person will be put on both a second generation H1 antagonist and an H2 antagonist.
When antihistamines do not treat symptoms well enough the next step is a mast cell mediator. The most common mast cell mediator is cromolyn sodium which is available by prescription only. (this is technically available OTC but it is at 1/50th the dose used for MCAS) Mast cell mediators work by preventing the degranulation of mast cells in the first place.
When both antihistamines and mast cell mediators are insufficient someone with MCAS might be prescribed a biologic such as Xolair to treat their remaining symptoms.

So I’ve been thinking a lot about mental health and mental illness lately (thanks, new psychiatrist) as I process a new diagnosis and what it means and reframing my image of myself, so I want to talk about some stuff.
So if you know all this already, just. Bear with me, okay, I’m processing a lot right now.
A lot of people on here get annoyed at advice to, like, go for a walk or do yoga or see sunlight or clean things up or meditate or whatever. And I get it, because I also get annoyed at people thinking that will solve my problems. I have had a boss try to get me to do a damn meditation app as if that would solve the work impact my mental illness was having, and it infuriated me.
But, that’s not because it doesn’t solve a problem. It just doesn’t solve the problem I have.
Meditation apps and all that other stuff are basically the mental health equivalent of eating a salad and jogging once a week. Someone who doesn’t do those things, even if they’re not otherwise sick, are not going to be very healthy and are going to feel kind of gross. It’s baseline health care.
But eating a salad isn’t going to cut it if you have a broken leg. You actually need medical care.
(Please go to a doctor if you have a broken leg. Thank you)
Now, if you get the mental health equivalent of a cold—something stressful is going on at work or with your friends, or a lot of small emergencies are popping up at once—you can probably still get by without a doctor. Increase the vegetables, get some soup, rest and sleep a lot. Do some extra mindfulness exercises, take a new yoga class, get a little TLC, clean your room. It will help you feel a lot better, and then the “illness/blip” will pass and you’ll be back to baseline in relatively short order, without needing to see a doctor.
But what if you have mental health bronchitis, or a broken leg? I would compare these to maybe some post-partum mental health issues, or grieving a death of someone, or a divorce, or something like that. You may actually need to see a doctor, get some care, see a therapist and get counseling, maybe briefly stop by on some antidepressants or anti-anxiety meds to help you recover. And then you’ll probably be mostly okay, with maybe some lingering issues and a good strong memory of that time you were Not Okay.
But you weren’t going to get okay without something a lot more than vegetables and cardio.
And then there’s the Chronic Mental Health issues, like many mood disorders or personality disorders, or PTSD/CPTSD, panic disorders, phobias…the lingering things that need serious help and you are very likely in fact to never full recover from, or even partially in some cases. These are where you get type one diabetes or Celiac’s or an amputation, or multiple sclerosis, or any of that. Stuff where you desperately need regular, often daily, medical care and management to stay healthy and functional.
And these ones are going to change your life even with medical care. A diabetic might need a medical device attached to them at all times, they are likely to need to check their blood sugar regularly, they’ll need to think about what they eat and how it will effect them, they’ll need to carry glucose tabs. They might have a medical ID bracelet! And sometimes mistakes might still happen and things go very badly. An amputee might have a prosthetic or might not, but either way it won’t do everything a biological appendage will, and they’ll have to adjust their lives to how to move and pick things up or whatever in a very different way to someone who has that body part. And someone with Celiac’s is just not going to be able to eat gluten. Not matter what medicine they take. It’s not going to happen.
And that’s the thing: even when you’re getting regular medical care and treatment, and you have a plan worked out and you’re used to it, if you have a mood disorder or PTSD or schizophrenia or something…you may very well never quite have a life that looks like someone who only needs yoga and meditation classes. You may always need other accommodations and lifestyle adjustments to function and manage.
But that doesn’t mean you can’t be happy. It means things are going to be so different for you that the people who manage with salad and a treadmill are just not going to be able to offer any useful advice to you. Your needs are way too different.
And then there’s getting into a car crash or catching meningitis. Sometimes, shit is just going to happen to people, and they are going to need to be hospitalized and watched very carefully for a while. I would probably categorize a lot of mental breakdowns, like the kinds that are at the onset of many mood or panic disorders, some levels of psychosis, sometimes the death of someone very dear to you—in fact, many of the things that might be broken legs to some might turn out here. Maybe someone else broken their leg with a nice clean fracture, but yours was a complicated shatter of a joint that started healing wrong and also got infected.
And the hospitalization isn’t going to be the end of your care, either. You’ll stay in the hospital until they can get you stable, until you don’t need medical professionals a button press away, until you can be assumed to recover the rest of the way on your own.
But, for people who know people who have come home from the hospital after a surgery or serious illness…it’s far from the end of the road, or even return to a new baseline. You’re going to need a lot of help and rest and recovery even after hospital discharge. Someone will probably have to watch you, might need to help you take your meds, might need to bring you food and drinks, or cook, or do chores.
And people who care should, maybe, understand, and send, “Get well soon,” and “Thinking of you” and flowers, and organize meal trains and otherwise show up for someone who is seriously ill.
Of course, a lot of that would be weird in the Chronic Illness space. But there, I think the understand would be, “Yeah, you know your friend can’t have gluten,” and “Why would you suggest they go for a hike with you when they’re in a wheelchair, you dick?” and “I made you low-sugar treats! I worked super hard on the recipe!” so people around you know that you have different needs and you care enough to accommodate them and make sure they are still cared for…differently.
I don’t think I’m going to edit this before posting.
But I’m thinking about it a lot, and I think I’m going from a place where I though I had a broken leg to realizing the leg was never actually going to heal without a limp, to realizing, in fact, that the leg didn’t break the way I thought it did and I need some physical therapy and a new doctor to get it working and see what happens then.
Maybe this was helpful to someone besides me. But it felt good to get it all into words!

Things I did to go from having severe driving anxiety to genuinely enjoying driving and doing it for fun:
My driving anxiety was BAD. I didn’t get my license until a few years after I was “supposed” to and it took me a REALLY long time to get comfortable in a car. I would be stressed out when someone else was driving in case we crashed. I would have panic attacks so severe I would throw up when I was behind the wheel in my mom’s car in an empty parking lot before I even shifted into drive.
(Also I’m aware that I’m very privileged and not all of these are possible for everyone, so just keep that in mind)
Getting my mental health in check. I started taking anti anxiety medication during the drivers ed process after a long battle of trying to not be on them and they helped SO much.
Getting my physical health in check. I got on POTS medication and I haven’t passed out from POTS in almost 5 years.
Avoiding ALL content about car accidents. I didn’t read about them, I looked away when I saw an accident while in someone else’s car, I told my friends not to talk about car accidents to me, I even turned TV shows off whenever there was a car accident.
Learning the rules of the road REALLY well. In California, you need to complete an online drivers ed class before getting your permit. I completed that, and then I studied the drivers handbook and read it cover to cover multiple times (it’s free as a PDF online and you can also buy a physical copy. I think some DMVs have FREE physical copies there)
Asking a lot of questions while someone else is driving. I would ask my parents stuff like “are you allowed to make a U turn there?” Or “how do you change lanes on the freeway?” And stuff like that.
Take it at your own pace. This is probably THE most important step. I started by barely tapping the gas and then immediately braking in my mom’s car in an empty parking lot while hyperventilating. Once I got comfortable driving in a parking lot, my stepdad found this empty road about 3 miles long that he would take me to every day. Once the road ended, I would stop driving and he would take over. DO NOT push yourself too hard. If you push yourself too hard, you’ll create a negative association with driving and your driving anxiety will get worse. If I felt too anxious to continue in the middle of an empty road, I would put the car in park and swap places with one of my parents.
Consistency is key!!! Try to practice every day possible. Even if it’s just a tiny bit. Even if it’s just sitting behind the wheel of the car in park with it turned on. Just do it as much as possible.
Try to practice in the same car every time. My mom’s car is like a tank and super scary (I only learned to drive it properly a year after I got my license), so I practiced in my stepdad’s smaller more manageable car. After that, I bought my first car and I only practiced in that!
Give yourself a little reward for being brave /gen. I would get a cherry slurpee at the 711 every time I finished driving.
If you’re driving to a place, even if you know how to get there, type in the address in google maps or something and study all the steps so you feel more prepared.
Don’t be discouraged if you fail your driving test the first time. I was so nervous I only passed on my third and final try. In most places, you can take it 3 times.
Make it fun!! Find a new podcast or make a playlist of your favorite music to play while driving!!!

Hi. I read your fic Fateful Beginnings and I wanted to say a few things. One, your writing is amazing. It’s so beautiful and I really like your alternate povs. The way you write the characters is awesome and keep writing, it’s so so so good. Two, I’m so curious about how you’re going to write the court of owls in the future. The story line is very good and you are doing awesome.
I had small questions about the meds that Bruce is taking and his mental situation, I think the medication is called olanzapine. I’m pretty sure that he doesn’t need to be taking the medication, but do you think that he possibly has some type of mental illness(outside of depression) that is being effected by the medication he’s taking? Anti psychotics are dangerous when you are taking them when it isn’t needed. Do you think his anxiety is being heightened because of the medication?
Again I love your writing and thank you for reading this ramble.
Thank you thank you!! I so so appreciate all the love!!! 💗 I love the dual POV in romance, particularly mutual pining/slow burn! I think it can add so much, and it’s so fun! Wish I could say more about the court 🦉
Yes, olanzapine! I wishhhh wish wish I could say more about this whole topic, but all I can say is that this will be revisited for sureeee 👀🤭
Gahhh I would love to share more!! But all of this will be fleshed out further. Picking up what I’m putting down!!

thoughts on nxx as antidepressants please
weeping at this ask. i see my blog has reached INCOMPREHENSIBLE levels of nxx headcanons. im so honored....
that being said, i dont have much experience with antidepressants actually, so to honor the "write what you know" adage, i will be veering outside of antidepressants to anxiety meds and mood stabilizers that i do have more lived experience with. that being said, im not a doctor, but a patient. take all this with a grain of salt.
without further ado
the nxx boys as psychiatric medications ive taken
luke = pregabalin (used to treat anxiety, but ALSO used to treat nerve pain. i was prescribed this not for psych reasons actually but to treat a neurological issue i had, and i wouldnt be surprised if pregabalin was included in luke's list of treatments for his own neurological illness. the anxiety bit also seems fitting for luke because hes the type to endlessly worry himself with all the worse case scenarios, sometimes to his (and others') detriment)
-
artem = escitalopram. (baby's first antidepressant!! it was my first, and i think it fits artem well cuz it's used to treat both depression and anxiety, two things i think he has an abundance of. artem gets prescribed this and immediately goes into a self-worth crisis for even needing to take medication. "im really faulty, arent i..." artem thinks. chin up, artem, it aint all that bad!)
-
vyn = aripiprazole. (im currently taking aripiprazole as an adjunct medication working together with another thing im taking, and that seems to fit vyn's role as a psychiatrist/psychologist well; somebody to help you along the way in ur mental health journey along with other treatments. plus, aripiprazole is similarly hard to say just like adjudicator)
-
marius = lamotrigine. (this is an anti-epileptic medication thats also used as a mood stabilizer for bipolar disorder, and this one is marius primarily because it's the meds i have the hiGHEST DOSAGE FOR, THE PILL IS SO BIG, IT IS MAKING ITSELF KNOWN, just like marius' general 'in your face' facade. my reasoning for this is weakest among the boys, yes, but who knows. marius could have bipolar disorder like me. actually, all of the boys and mc could be bipolar. they all found each other like manic depressive magnets. sorry, what was this part about? i seem to have meandered. oh right. MARIUS. LAMOTRIGINE.)
-
thank you for this ask, anon. it gave me a hearty laugh
#i skipped out on assigning one for mc because these are the only meds i can remember right now...memory bad#asks#anon#tears of themis#OH DANG IT I FORGOT ABT MY BESTIE CLONAZEPAM. alas it's too late the response is done and im too lazy to edit it skljdbf

How OPERATION SCARIANT 2023 is being used to launch Plandemic 2.0 Plandemic 2.o is an integral piece of the Great Reset implementation plan and New World Order agenda to be executed in earnest this Fall of 2023. OPERATION SCARIANT, which features the extremely ‘scary’ Omincron subvariant known as Eris, is the main show for folks who are still captivated by this ridiculous government-sponsored but extremely serious genocidal enterprise.
Nevertheless, there are numerous reasons why the Khazarian genocidal bioterrorists are hellbent on rolling out Plandemic 2.0 this Fall. The following list presents only some of the most significant NWO goals, WEF objectives and WHO targets. (1) To cover up the massive excess death numbers directly resulting from the ongoing Covid vaccine genocide across America (and global depopulation scheme)
(2) To stealthily kill vaccinated children who are now much more vulnerable to the bacterial infections associated with Eris (aka Omicron [B.1.1.529] a subvariant of SARS-CoV-2
(3) To intensify the slow-motion slaughter of vaccinated 20 to 45 year-olds who are now much more susceptible to myocarditis, pericarditis, blood clots and other fatal heart ailments
(4) To further turbo-charge the numerous medical ailments and health conditions, chronic diseases and autoimmune syndromes, psychological disorders and psychiatric illnesses across the entire population, all of which have seen HUGE upticks post-Covid vaccination
(5) To murder as many retirees as possible in order to reduce the Social Security & Disability, Medicare and Medicaid rolls
(6) To massacre as many individuals, who suffer from multiple comorbidities and/or terminal diseases, who are still living after Plandemic 1.0
(7) To eliminate as many Baby Boomers as possible as well as the Beat Generation elderly, especially the anti-establishment types
(8) To provide maximum distraction from the many Democrat crime sprees being investigated by the House
(9) To divert the attention of the electorate from the multiple crime waves perpetrated by the Biden Crime Family and especially by the POTUS Imposter and Criminal-in-Chief
(10) To create maximum chaos, confusion and conflict throughout the last year of the 2024 election cycle so that the Democrats can steal yet another POTUS election, as well as to set the stage for a long-planned American Bolshevik revolution
(11) To provide a pretext to deploy yet another highly weaponized and lethal Covid ‘vaccine’ by which to rapidly intensify Plandemic 2.0.
(12) To significantly supercharge the previously administered kill-shots, clot-shots and cancer-shots thereby increasing SADS and SIDS as well as excess deaths across the board
(13) To sufficiently scare the American people back into the same space of extreme fear and anxiety about the COVID-19 contagion so they will fully submit to the Covid Super Vaccination Agenda (and demand that everyone they know get vaxxed to the max)
- Benjamin Fulford 🤔
