Following up on uncle Kiri, what's your take on kiri and others becoming parents before bk, and his attitude towards all that? I imagine it's super conflicting being """"left behind"""" but also the questions around self worth and if he's "__ enough' to become a parent?

(obligatory disclaimer that these are all my personal opinions/feelings as someone that wants willow sprouts, and if that doesn't align with someone else's desires/beliefs — that's okay !!! we all write for the ones we love in different ways, and it doesn't make any opinion less valid or worthy of respect ✨️)

OOOOH HMM !! you know, i will write about dad bakugou all day, every day bc that's what i like to read and write but !! i do think he would have a hard time deciding if that's what he wanted ?? i don't think he thinks about it for a while, and then i think he tells himself he shouldn't have them, for a few reasons. mainly bc of his career and all that it entails, and also — bc he must wonder if he would be a good parent !!! he'll tell himself this for a bit, and he'll brush the topic off if it's ever brought up because he "doesn't think it's a good idea for him" but it's never explicitly bc he doesn't want them, if that makes sense ?? tbh i think it would take a very supportive partner for him to openly tell himself that's what he wants. like, someone loving and trusting him enough to be a father would help ease some of his worries, i think.

BUT ANYWAY. regarding kirishima, i actually had this perfect vision of them at a bbq, of course, except kiri's got his FOUR KIDS running around LOL and one of them coming up to bakugou and he's just looking at it like 🤨🤨🤨 akfbdjsja and aww, wouldn't it be cute if, once bakugou is expecting a child, kirishima lets him come over and learn how to change diapers ?? 🥺 let him practice burping and how to swaddle them up when they're so squirmy 🥺🥺🥺 CUTE !!

i think — his feelings in the situation of being around his friends that have children would really depend on whether he has a partner or not he feels comfortable with, tbh. like if it’s just him, i feel like he's non-stop looking at all these kids and his peers and telling himself, "yup, just not in the cards for me", almost like he's trying to convince himself he's fine with being without, though i definitely think he would, deep down, feel like ".......but why not me ?? 🥺" WAAAHHHH but !! on the fun, flip side, if he was with someone, i think he would honestly try to be more observant of how kids are ?? if that makes sense ?? LOL like he's watching them run around and trying to gauge what yaomomo says to her brats to get them to eat their vegetables PFFT. just storing it away for later.

tbh, it's hard for me to imagine not having this conversation with him BUT in the event that yall haven't discussed children yet, i don't think he's going to be the one to push it. like he's not coming back from the bbq asking when it's yall's turn, and i say that bc he's on the fence about it for so long. so i think he takes you not bringing it up as like......okay maybe it really isn't a good idea 🥺 but if years go by and nothing is said, then i think he might bite the bullet and force himself to ask LOL WAAHHH HE'S SO COMPLICATED

ooh ty for this ask thats a really interesting question that ive totally not thought about a lot :o HAH but yes anyway. the short answer is that i think that ottos reaction would be Not Good. but it would be kinda good bc ottos strategic mind and undying loyalty to subaru Would be helpful to have.... bc yknow, otto would be a pretty reliable ally who'd KNOW about rbd.... but also NOT GOOD for the exact same reasons (strategic mind and undying loyalty). i just think that otto knowing rbd is gonna cause both him giving subaru some comfort (ie otto going “i know now all youve been through… please confide in me about it”) and A Lot Of Conflict (“haha you should simply stop using rbd so much ahahha”).

anyway!! the longer answer is that i think ottos reaction depends a little bit on if hes finding out rbd alongside other people or if hes the ONLY one to figure out rbd at this time. i think the more likely option in canon is that he might figure it out via restoring roswaal's tome hah, but yes i mean either way, otto finds out rbd and his entire fucking world is gonna get flipped on its head just like any one of subarus other loved ones finding out rbd. if ottos finding it out by himself, i dont think that he'd reveal rbd to other people unless he HAS TO, but he'd tell subaru he knows about rbd (if subaru doesnt know at that point) when he feels its necessary. but more on that later.

anyway in terms of ottos general feelings - yeah, like. a lot of them are gonna be all the usual things that you would feel around finding out that your dear friend has had this absolutely horrific time travel ability haaah... like the horror of "oh god how much have you used that", and then "oh god have i hurt and killed you before" and "oh god whats happened in all those failed loops. youve definitely had failed loops right ahah" and "THATS why you know so much shit you shouldnt know and thats why youre so so traumatized by shit i dont know. ohhhhh god" and "have you always had this power?? in the entire time ive known you??? oh FUCK" you know? like otto especially i think is very analytical about things. and hes uh. Anxious. so hes just gonna go aaaaaalll the way down that rabbit hole (................pun intended) of "what the fuck subaru" and "OH NO SUBARU" and like in general connecting all the awful puzzle pieces together of all of subaru's mysterious behaviors suddenly lining up with rbd..... its a HUGE oh shit moment.

and then otto is gonna go RIGHT into gameplan mode. emergency mode. i think hes just gonna put HIS feelings on the backburner (he might have to have a little breakdown first depending on how Bad it goes, but given this is RBD it most definitely hit otto with the force of a dinosaur) and then ottos gonna throw himself right into doing his "duty" as subarus friend. we kinda see this a bit in stuff like gluttony if where otto tells garfiel to get his shit together bc its only them left bc SUBARU KILLED THE REST OF THEIR FRIENDS.... and then otto feels numb seeing garfiel die and then distantly, iirc, thinks of himself as kind of a shit person for not feeling much about garfiel dying in front of him :( but yeah like. ottos good at throwing himself into THINK OF AND EXECUTE A PLAN TO SOLVE THIS EMERGENCY SITUATION NOW, HAVE ANOTHER CRISIS ABOUT IT LATER. esp when its SUBARU on the line here. and its SUBARU whos been lost a million times before otto found out already, which will most definitely be driving him insane 👍 ottos coping mechanisms (….punching walls…. alcohol……. working….. general bits of aggression….) are very like. numbing/lashing out kind of coping mechanisms. Solitary coping mechanisms. and i think he’s gonna prioritize subaru over himself and try to be subarus support and then go to Cope and Seethe in private where subaru cant see him HAHA. or right in subarus face bc otto has a tendency to do that too, depends on how Pushed otto is. either that or, like with garfiels death in gluttony if, otto is numbed by shock at first (….until the full weight of the reveal probably crashes on him at some point).

that and i think ottos gonna be coping anyway by being obsessive about subaru, as one does (ottos really normal) (very normal) (and very mentally well)

it depends on how rbd reveal goes, but the options like i mentioned earlier are probably gonna be

1. otto found out rbd alongside other people -> otto provides emotional and strategic support to subaru + the rest of the camp whenever possible but stays largely in the background until he feels he has to take any Drastic Options

2. otto found out rbd on his own (and subaru doesnt know yet) -> otto stays in the background and intervenes when he feels he Has To -> will likely only tell subaru he knows abt rbd when he thinks its the right time and then try to be subarus pillar of support

yep so!! in general, i think ottos closely gonna observe subaru from now on— i think otto would wanna keep tabs on subaru at All Times and know Basically Everything about what subarus doing now. i know that sounds like. extreme. bc it is HAH but i think itd be in line with what we’ve seen otto be willing to do to save subaru and their other friends (see: wanting louis/spica dead) (see: being perfectly fine with leaving 50 million people to die), and ottos uhhhh slight nonchalance about getting his hands dirty (see: launching bandits off a cliff in self defense) (see: being nonchalant about the murder mystery in the goddess statue side story) (see: ….his various deranged comments like how its fine if 50 million people die if it means saving rem and subaru) (see: his suicide note in arc 4)

otto knows abt rbd and the effect rbd has on subaru and how subaru WILL use rbd bc hes just THAT fucking crazy but also THAT well intentioned to use rbd like that. this is ottos worse nightmare by the time we get to arc 8– hes upset and scared of subaru especially putting himself in danger bc of good intent and his desire to save people. subaru wants to save the world bc its ALL important to him, otto wants to save ONLY who’s most important to him— ie, ONLY ottos inner circle. so ottos gonna be put into a panic. hes gonna double down trying to control subaru so subaru stops sacrificing himself bc haha who cares about all those other people??? i know you do natsuki-san but this is too high of a cost to you, youre TOO IMPORTANT (to me), you cant keep doing this so ill just have to stop you!!

so i think it might just escalate tbh. if otto doesnt know how rbd reveal is activated, hes gonna try real hard to figure that out. if he KNOWS, hes gonna start making up plans as he fucking goes bc i am NOT letting subaru die AGAIN if i can help it. if he finds out about the suicide pill???? time to consider the pros and cons of yanking that shit right out of subarus mouth. some random vollachian civilians just died???? well time to stop subaru from dying bc using rbd is NOT fucking worth it. especially for random ass people. if something bad happens, like garfiel or someone else dying, and subarus about to rbd? oh fuck, guess i gotta consider if i should let subaru die or force him to live against his will. and let garfiel die potentially forever. oh god if i let subaru die will he be dead in this world or will time just completely overwrite what just happened and i wont know?? OH GOD—

bc you know. assuming otto might be the one person knowing rbd in this hypothetical scenario… (or in general just me using otto as an example here—) once otto knowing about rbd gets cemented past a save point subaru has—the next time subaru dies, will otto be left behind in that world with a dead subaru?? or will the new timeline override the old?? its of course the same question asked in like the arc 4 second trial that subaru has but NOW its from a whole new perspective. otto could potentially be left behind in a failed timeline knowing subarus dead in his world but—is subaru DEAD dead?? or did subaru really go into a new timeline??? itd break otto. i dont think he could LIVE without subaru.

anyway yeah i dont think ottos gonna cope well under these circumstances either way hah but for the sake of everyone else otto would hold his shit together until it gets too much. and i think hes gonna rethink about how hes been willing to DIE for subaru in the past—hes gonna think about how many times hes died for subaru before, hes gonna think about how actually he wouldnt mind dying for subaru but he cant tell subaru that or subaru will be upset, and hes gonna think about how even if he dies for subaru now, is it still worth it when subaru will just do anything he can to reset and undo ottos death??? its a WHOLE mindfuck.

and i think if otto was in the situation of “should i tell anyone else about rbd”, he would choose no in almost all cases. its a lose lose if he does—he upsets subaru and he upsets whoever he tells. its a mindfuck to otto already and the dude can At Least compartmentalize. he knows sharing that secret is a hard thing to do, knows that its hard on subaru. at most i think otto might consider beatrice bc shes close to subaru but also like. hundreds of years old so she of course could carry that burden? and dont get me wrong emilia and garfiel are Very strong in their own right but its gonna hit them HARD hard (i think i talked about emilias reaction to rbd in another ask somewhere hah).

and also otto being the freak he is would want to have all the info he can weaponize to help subaru at. any cost. so also in a strategic sense he cant tell people. both bc revealing rbd publicly both upsets subaru and it would risk subarus mental/physical safety… and also bc otto being the one person who knows is like. I ALONE can make sure my plans go smoothly and no ones stopping me. subaru wont even know unless i HAVE to tell him. and ofc otto cant account for if subaru suddenly knows what ottos trying to do (prioritize subaru over literally everyone) but otto would try his hardest.

anyway!! i do think on another level like if otto knows and subaru knows otto knows i think otto WOULD be a good ally. like ottos smart and resourceful and all that— he can be the second strategist backing up subarus own strategy and power (prior knowledge bc rbd). otto can also support subaru the best he can emotionally about rbd— you know, like comfort subaru, tell him hes done his best throughout all these loops, etc etc. and ottos good at prioritizing too. hes cutthroat with it sometimes but he WOULD be good at like going “hey only one person died in this entire battle of hundreds of people, you cant use rbd its not worth it here. im sorry” or something. otto would basically be like echidna in greed if but better yes T^T

but like. i REALLY dont think otto is just gonna take subaru rbding lying down, it goes against everything otto stands for both morally and as subarus friend. but at the same time otto knowing rbd knows he cant exactly control subaru as much as he wants on that front. otto could try anything and subaru might already know everything ottos gonna try already bc subarus rbded before. subarus lived through this before. and theres a special kind of horror in that too of knowing your friend will have these spurts of suddenly knowing Everything youll do, knowing Everything you intended to do and you just know its bc your friend died and went back in time to do all of this now. absolutely horrific this would do a number on ottos psyche (and of course it already did many many numbers on subarus psyche hahaha…)

so in the end like—otto can be as stubborn as he wants and subaru can be as stubborn as he wants but if they decide to fight each other in this hypothetical scenario theyre gonna end up eternally being thorns in each others sides until it kills one or both of them at least once. but subarus gonna win out in the end bc of rbd, itd be up to otto to find a way to at least change subarus mind just a bit and restrict his rbd use some more. thats. uh. the most otto can do :(( be the support………………

yeah and if ottos finding rbd out alongside other people i think that all of the above that i just said would happen but more subtly. like otto would give his support to subaru and his friends (who’re also reeling from this info :,) ) and then in private otto i think would be like PLOTTING. how can i stop subaru from using rbd. how can i save subaru more. what actions do i need to take. how drastic do i need to be. IM the one who can get my hands dirty here in a way that subaru cant. etc etc :,)))) otto, you sneaky guy……

anyway ive considered making a “otto finds out rbd” fic before but never had specific plot beats so :<<<<< yeah like i said in this entire ask i have my Various Guesses on how otto would react to rbd!!

#10. What's an au you have for them?

Since them meeting at all is technically an AU i have 3 different ways that they do meet up. There's the one where Juniper ends up with the agency/adjacent to and ends up working with Reggie (have written a fic with this). The next one is Juniper surviving but basically going stealth and living as normal of a life as he can and ending up meeting Reggie through chance (most recent fic I've written). And then there's my personal favourite where Reginald "You're lucky my tracking skills are still up to snuff" Crane keeping himself busy after Phoenix was MIA and finding Juniper still alive (fic I want to write but haven't started mainly because it may end up multi chapter).

In terms of more AU canon bending taking them and putting them in a completely unrelated situation...I have a guilty pleasure Warrior Cats AU for IEYTD in general. Both JJ and Reggie have perfect warrior cats suffixes in their names already (Juniper and Crane) so they're called Junipersong (charcoal bengal) and Craneflight (tabby Norwegian forest cat). It's very silly but the amount of scenes I have in my mind for it...good lord...

Basically Juniper kissing Reggie but he like wasn't ready/fully expecting it and Juniper absolutely panicking because he thinks he's misread every interaction between them both since they got closer. i think i’d become happy, of course, but to me, it’d depend on how well-written their relationship reveal would be

i'll be honest, i would be happy if it was made canon in like, the next chapter.

i think a lot of people take oda's stance on no romance between the crew to mean there won't be any forms of romance whatsoever, which isn't true. oda has shown us time and time again that he will write romantic stories/subplots so long as it both makes sense to the story and also doesn't detract from it, but rather adds to it.

look at scarlett and kyros, or toki and oden. both of those romantic subplots added to the story, and felt natural and not forced. people weren't obsessing over it and missing the entire plot/point. and i think that's what oda is aiming for.

so if oda made saboala canon in like the next chapter? i'd be happy. and i think he could make it work without making it super over the top. they don't need to be shoving tongue down each other's throats, hell their entire dynamic doesn't even need to change at all, just a small "i love you" or affirmation of their bond would be enough for me.

i also do think that saboala will, at some point, be canon. i've felt that way even before i started shipping them, all the way back in dressrosa! and that was over a year ago, and i've only been shipping them for like.... maybe 6 months at this point! they remind me of toki and oden, a lot of subtle stuff and nothing over the top, but at the end of the day you know they're in love.

Love her so much, she really feels like a Queen leading a rebellion against the divine and a woman whose softness as been driven out by the events of the cataclysm (though some of that softness still remains for those closest to her).

IDK if you take questions about your interpretations of the characters but if so I've got some:

What do you think came first in Pierro and the Tsaritsa's relationship, his status as the founding harbinger or them deciding to be a couple? Did the Tsaritsa's closeness and trust to Pierro from being in a relationship with him lead her to appoint him as her harbinger or did their professional relationship slowly evolve into something more?

Also, what are her feelings towards the rest of her harbingers? Has she handpicked any in particular or does she leave that to Pierro?

HEY ty so much for your ask!!! apologies for taking so long to answer it, been super busy lately and actually just got back from out of state (but i promise this ask has been on my mind since i saw it about a week ago i just wanted it to marinate in my brain for a bit)

I'm so glad that my Tsaritsa is resonating with some people!!! she's become very important to me, my special emotional support milf. The 'Divine-Female-Character-Post-Corruption-Arc' trope is sadly few and far between in media (ESPECIALLY older female characters), so she's my answer to that particular hole in my heart.

Pierro's status as the founding harbinger definitely came first in their 'relationship'. Specifically why The Tsaritsa appointed Pierro as a harbinger to begin with, is another interesting question. Maybe she instantly took a liking to him, or maybe it was just intuition. I think that the Tsaritsa is equal parts Thinking vs. Feeling, she has a strong intuition as a result of her age but likes to stop and think objectively about things before she makes her decision. But she's incredibly stubborn, when she sets her mind on something there's nothing stopping her. She's kind of comparable to mountains that way, forming instinctively, never spontaneously, but always resolute.

Honestly, I'm not even sure when they would get the chance to finally make it official. Pierro is just way too dense, and much too duty-bound to even consider anything outside of it. He also keeps looking behind him too much and never sees what's in front of him. The Tsaritsa's got her work cut out for her, but I'd be lying if I said she isn't enjoying her little hunt.

Also, I like to think that Pierro presents her with potential Harbingers like stray dogs. The Tsaritsa has made the comparison herself, much to Pierro's confusion.

What is your favorite historical period? And your least favorite? Why?

I do really like the victorian era because i find victorian medicine very interesting it also was an interesting era for clowning. I find the history of clowns very fascinating wich goes back a long long way, the earliest recording of clowns go back to ancient Egypt. And i do find the whole mummification process and the beliefs in importance off death v interesting.

So to sum it up, i love the entire history of clowns and couldn’t chose, but am v fascinated by victorian medicine and ancient Egypt. To be completely honest, I do not have that much knowledge around historical periods.

Nice ask day! What fictional character do you most relate to?

Hi!! Thank you for the ask 😊

I'm actually going to give two characters here because the first one that comes to mind is from a show I assume a lot of people don't watch, so I'm also going to include a lone star character.

So the first character is Ziva from Ncis. There is one specific scene at the end of season 3 that has touched me in a way that no other has before, where she's not handling her grief the same way as everyone else is and she's being judged and ridiculed for it. Everyone assumes she doesn't care because she doesn't cry or she buries herself in other things to take her mind off of it, and I really fucking relate to that.

For lone star, and for similar reasons as before, I actually relate to Owen in some ways. I also have a history of anger issues and, again, not dealing with emotions in the way people would expect you to. I also just really have a soft spot for him because of everything he's been through and how much he loves the people around him.

I guess the main thing when it comes to relating to fictional characters for me is that it sort of comes back to me being autistic, although there are so many things that non-autistic characters experience that I heavily relate to. I tend to appreciate that more, actually, because it reminds me that there's so many ways in which we are similar to each other even if the cause for why we are the way we are is different.

I hope that little tangent made literally any sense, but yeah. Those are two characters I really relate to.

Can you tell us more about your FEsona?

I actually have quite a lot written down for them already! They are based on me and my life so it has not been too hard to come up with backstory. General backstory is under the cut! I have more details about their personality/game timeline stuff that I'll share as I hammer them out<3

My fesona is ofc named Moss, like me! Their design is based on me at different ages. They have boons in brawling(because I like fighting as a sport) and horse(because I like animals). They have banes in reason(wonder why) and authority(lmao). They have a budding talent in faith magic, and have latent healing abilities due to their Nabatean father.

Moss's father, Anisos, is referred to as "the lost brother," he's a Nabatean that disappeared from Fodlan a long time ago. Moss's mother is a human, who met Moss's father travelling- they were together for only a short time before he disappeared again. She resented Moss's father for leaving and took that out on them/has disparaging views of Nabateans. Due to this upbringing, Moss is wary of both humans and Nabateans, and is generally a suspicious and secretive person, they tend to be friendly but not forthcoming with personal details. Only being half Nabatean, Moss takes more after their mother and therefore doesn't have the stereotypical Nabatean features, and generally passes as fully human unless their crest is revealed(they have the lost crest of their father, Anisos).

For how they ended up at Garreg Mach, I am thinking something along the lines of they left home and became a travelling circus performer. Rhea saw one of their performances and clocked them as some kind of non human, whether she could feel their crest or noticed some similarity to their father. She wanted to figure out the whole story, but since Moss was cagey and unforthcoming about it, she offered them a spot at the officer's academy so she could study and observe their abilities further.

I'm kinda curious if you were planning to introduce Aang into your AU, and if so, how would he be awakened?

ive certainly been thinking about it!! i think his introduction would be a very big, complex shift in the dynamics of the au world.

if i did include my lovely boy i'd think aang's story would revolve around sokka! mostly bcs sokka's a more heavy presence in the poles and would probably be the man to find 11 yr old icecube aang, and bc sokka acts as a 'world diplomat' for the 3 nations council. he's more free, cosmopolitan, and not stuck in the fire nation imperial courts like the rest of our cast. i'd also think crown prince zuko would put in efforts to help rebuild the air temples with aang, so theres potential there

i'd definitely need to workshop it! he'd be a 'book 4' kind of story i'd wager

They are obviously. Concerned. As one should. But also I think there's been a bunch of sweet sweet denial mixed in. Like it took them A While to really accept that there's actually a fucked up worm in their brain and their life is in danger. Busying yourself with menial tasks and other people's problems won't work forever, it turns out.

8. Was there an experience that really changed them? In game or in backstory?

Their backstory was like a series of events rolling a snowball uphill and then the actual canon events of the game are that snowball arriving at the peak and causing an avalanche. I think it was more of a gradual change that any singular big thing, unless you count the inciting incident of getting tadpoled obviously. Their character arc during the canon events is about learning to find self assurance and value from healthier sources, but they also become more aggressive and snappy during act 3 especially.

12. Do they have an enemy they hate above all else?

Hemlock used to think they didn't hate anyone but they actually just needed to get angry enough that they weren't able to repress it any longer and now they hate soooo many people. I think Orin ended up being the one they loathed the most though. Hemlock's whole thing (or issue) is putting others' needs and safety way above their own so kidnapping their party member is a really efficient way to get on their Kill On Sight list! And there's the fact that in this canon the person who got kidnapped was Halsin, who Hemlock considers probably their best and closest friend made it Even Worse!

3. How would you summarise their personality?

Compassionate yet impatient. She has a strong sense of justice and believes in protecting the weak, which can unfortunately also come across as being sorta condescending sometimes. She doesn't joke often so when she does it takes everyone off guard.

Do you think, if Katakuri actually had a non arranged love interest, do you think he'd hide it?

like, would he be very hesitant on telling his family about an s/o he's slowly building a secret relationship with? Sorry for bad phrasing hdfnsknf

CRACKS MY KNUCKLES this is like the bread and butter of my oc x canon story for Katakuri!! 🤲 I won't go into that here though~

so I want to say "yes, in my headcanon," but katakuri's behavior in canon shows us that he's uncomfortable with sharing anything he considers personal. he has this vision that his "true self" is not to be perceived by others. he also doesn't seem like much of a risk taker unless its very very calculated. given all of that, I don't think it's a stretch to say he would hide his love interest if it was one his mom hadn't been involved with at all.

katakuri seems like a paranoid individual and overly protective of his family so he might struggle with giving himself to an "outsider" in the first place. like does this person really have his best interests at heart? I wouldn't see him as the type to be goo goo ga ga in love.

regarding his sibling relations: something I wonder a lot about is like--how much can the siblings trust each other? who is a narc? who runs to mama the second they find their sibling harboring secrets? the way they clamor over her favor makes me feel like it'd be difficult for any of them to trust each other outside of the closest bonds. like just from the way canon is, it does seem that direct related siblings tend to stick together. there are clearly factions of trust within the family.

Katakuri seems like the most closed off of all though, to retain that perfect image, so I'm not sure he'd share this even with Brulee or his brothers. Brulee would find out and keep it to herself i think, maybe nudge him on to share without revealing that she knows. I don't think he would be ashamed or anything if he were able to prove that this person truly cared for him, but he seems averse to change because he's trying to hard to protect that illusion.

there is also the point that we actually don't know if he's single or hasn't had a relationship before. could it be that he DID have a secret lover before? maybe big mom found out and did something to them to "save" her greatest son/protector/asset. considering he seems to have a complicated relationship with his mother hinted at in the manga, it's entirely possible there's more she could've done to harm him that we aren't aware of.
