WILD WEST AU LET’S GO

alright, here’s the basics, as promised: the corner of the Wild West this particular AU takes place in is trapped beneath the thumb of Doctor Zor, a mysterious coal mining tycoon with fingers in every illegal operation around. they control everything, top to bottom, and they’d like things to stay that way.

Sheriff Crane was sent by the folks down at the capital to replace the old sheriff, who stopped checking in some time ago. on his first patrol he accepted a guide in the form of a young local. they filled him in on the state of corruption that Zor had brought about, and after a couple adventures, he brought them on as his deputy. it didn’t take long for people to start calling them the Phoenix what with their knack for coming right back to life after every dangerous encounter. also Charlie is their half-brother. (i don’t think i’ve ever mentioned it but this is canon in my main timeline too lol)

i’ve of course already shared Juniper’s sheet. he’s one of Zor’s lead enforcers, delivering contracts, bribes, or a taste of lead if the situation calls. it’s a lot of work keeping all those city councils in line, but the benefits are fantastic. until he slips up, at least.

Doctor Prism moved out to one of the more remote towns so she could safely work on her inventions, but as an intelligent woman of color, respect was awful hard to come by. she’d always been friends with the legal folk in the capital, but when they shrugged off her patent troubles with barely a thought she turned to Doctor Zor. she won’t kill the sheriff, but if they want her to use her brains to get the deputy out of the picture? well, it’s the least she can do.

i’ve got more sketches that’ll come around in a couple days once i clean em up too ;P
