Saw the character you sent for this ask and INSTANTLY nefarious grinning scooby doo laugh the whole works. Okay. Okay

one aspect about them i love: How can I list JUST one *launches a bazooka into the atmosphere and blows up a distant island* Okay I'll try. Because he's a reader, he IMMERSES himself in a story and as a result he feels a fondness for certain characters and a dislike for others. As a result, a lot of the choices he makes, which in his head he rationalizes as being Logical and Reasonable and The Best Choice because he knows how the story ends, are actually heavily influenced by his own emotions. Literally so much about the novel so far is him attempting to PUSH for a certain outcome simply because it's the ending HE wants and he wants to mminimalize suffering.

one aspect i wish more people understood about them: I can't say anything for sure given I haven't completed the novel yet and I'm not involved in ORV's fandom, so I'll use this space instead to talk about a character trait of his that I think is really interesting: in the first 100 or so chapters of ORV he laments his "lack of skill" (when attempting to learn abilities he has no natural affinity for, opting instead to rely on Bookmark) and the fact that people/characters appear to grow faster when they're not around him but its like... He does have skill and I don't think he's hindering the progress of his companions. I believe that arguably one of his biggest skills is the very thing that's allowing him to progress through the scenarios so quickly and that's his ability to lead, and a surety and confidence in guiding others that warrants an unbending devotion from the others around him.

one (or more) headcanon(s) i have about this character: HMMM No headcanons so far unfortunately as I am still familiarizing myself with the character and the text but REST ASSURED when I am finished... there will be thoughts!

one character i wish they would interact with/interact with more: From where I'm currently at in the novel (30% of the way through) I'd love to see more interactions with Lee Jihye and Uriel. In regards to the former: I find the standoffish nature between them incredibly interesting with Jihye adamantly refusing to concede she has any fond feelings for KDJ, and the text acknowledging that the way he moves through life gave her the inspiration to fight and sacrifice herself for others. In regards to the latter, I simply find their interactions to be unbelievably funny. Uriel is hilarious to me in general like... girl!!!

one (or more) headcanon(s) i have that involve them and one other character: HOW does the ask game expect me just to list off one character this is actually insane. KDJ has many good dynamics so I'll take some liberties and list off the main ones: Yoo Joonghyuk, Jung Heewon (<- what do I say here. RAAAAGH *throws a grenade*), Shin Yoosung, Lee Gilyoung (<- they are his kids! i'll especially never stop thinking about the moment KDJ said he didn't regret choosing Shin over all of Seoul, and he was earnest here and it wasn't just a Tactical Choice). Whenever I think about them I'm like that werewolf ripping shirt meme.

Horror really has only be yoinked once, which would be making a deal with nightmare! CROSS HOWEVER!!

Cross has been yoinked (i need a better word for this-) 3 times,, technically. But only 2 in long term. The first time being with dream, and originally being found and brought with them. the technical one happened during dream, being an influence from an, 'outside god'. this partially was what caused him to leave dream n make a deal with nightmare, nm being the 3rd!!

extra explaining bcs i can so the stuff that counts for this,,,, theres the main gods (nm, dream, reaper, life, error, ink) which can cause influence or in my silly ways of wording it 'yoink or kidnap' ppl thru mainly interacting and, imprinting on them in a way? nightmares and dreams are more obvious, being through the people they 'work' with (stars and the gang), reaper and life dont really care to influence, though reaper does have a slight influence with geno due to their interactions. ink doesnt really influence bcs of his soulless status, but he does have a direct connection with dream. error also doesnt care much for it, though he does have an influence on blue from that time it kidnapped him. the outside god is technically me lol

this one's a long ramble lmao, so i'm putting it under a read more:

ok, so some ppl with tics get thought tics, this is probably the most interesting thing i'v ever learned abt tics.

they're tics that ofc come in the form of thoughts. i don't think they fall under either tic category?? (those being verbal and motor tics.) tho maybe some are verbal tics that aren't strong enough to surface? i'm pretty sure at least that that's what my first(?) one was. (which i'm pretty sure was my first tic that i can remember.)

a lil off topic, but i can't talk about thought tics without talking about this: when i was like 13? (way before my tourette's rly surfaced/became active. i think it was just dormant for a long time?) my older sister had me watch her kids for a moment, and i was sitting there staring at them. and i kept getting the strong urge to ask if they were ok, even tho they were obviously fine. they hadn't fallen down or anything. one of them was even offering me chips. at the time i reasoned that it was just paternal instincts and shrugged it off (even tho i was still very confused abt it lol), but years later (at 18) after learning abt my tourette's i thought abt it again and it clicked that it was probably a tic trying to come out, but not being quite strong enough yet. :D

ANYWAYS, Sweet Anita kinda described them as like random or word association thoughts that will interrupt your train of thought and make it very hard to focus.

i don't often get them, and they can be hard to recognize even when i do, but i think i'll more often get image related ones.

it's REALLY annoying when i'm trying to daydream and the two ppl interacting are at a table and silly lil tourette's brain wont stop making whoever has any amount of their weight on the table fkn tip the table over lmao. even if it's just a hand. even if the table has four legs. that hand will suddenly weigh more than both ppl at the table combined, and two of those legs might as well not even exist.

this one is something that happened more often before my tourette's surfaced, so it was especially confusing and frustrating, but it would also force the body of whoever i'm trying to think of to contract and expand. from impossibly thin to impossibly wide. when this happened i could not for the life of me focus on one body type, and it would derail the whole daydream n i'd eventually fall asleep or give up.

so yeah, thought tics can be frustrating lmao, but they are also very interesting. :>

AAA sorry for taking so long to answer I just saw this!!

Truth is I havejt been able to play bravely II yet cause Ive been budy with Uni, but I plan on finally playing it this summer! (After replaying the original and second so I can get the #full expirience).

So these are my opinions before replaying the games so Im curious to see if they'll change afterwards!

FF4 heroes of light (counting it as a bravely game since its the predecesor): Torte! This man had like 6 lines in the whole game and I love him SO much he's just. Hes just. (Spins him around in my mind like a microwave). But if I had to pick a fave from the main cast I think it'd be Jusqua, the whole bit where he tries to rescue "Aire" is so charming and funny it really endeared him to me :)

Bravely Default: Tiz! Hes just sooooo sweet and caring and honest I love him so much. Hes loyal to a fault and loves taking care of people and keeping them safe like the shepherd he is. The way he cared for Egil right after meeting him because he reminded him of his brother was so ;_; I just have a huge soft spot for genuine and caring characters man

Bravely Second: Yew! I dont really have much to say about him except that hes neat :) He's just a really nice dude who wants to do right by people!!! I also gotta say Janne and Nikolais betrayal just hit different after replaying the demo over and over again, I really sympathized with Yew there

And thats all! Ill probably update this after replaying all the games and default II, based on my track record I think Seth will probably be my fave though lmao
