it's been a whole week, and you have yet to see your boyfriend face-to-face. it's been pouring rain ceaselessly all over the city, and the weather forecasts say it might not let up anytime soon. though, you and miles stay connected through facetiming and texting all day throughout the week you two have been away from each other, simply communicating doesn't bring the whole feelings you two experience when speaking to each other face-to-face and being around each others' presence.

as you were working at your desk on the homework your teacher assigned, you got a text notification from miles himself. the message was the same as always: him expressing how much he missed you, with the addition of sad, crying kaomojis that just made his longing for you a bit more impactful and... pitiful, in a way; it seriously made you want to drop everything, put on your nearest rain coat, not even bother to don on your pair of boots and just run over to him, even if you'd slip on the way or get sick afterwards. but you knew you couldn't do that, reality had always opposed your desires, especially those desires of yours that you sincerely wished for with all your heart; the universe was truly cruel to the sweetest of hearts.

you were confused as to why he suddenly seemed so hurried to text you, like his thumb was slipping from across the keyboard. before you could decode in your mind what he meant, you heard a light tapping by your bedroom window. you turned your head, and upside down, facing you with wide lenses for eyes, was spider man—your boyfriend, miles morales.

you tried to cover your shock from his sudden arrival, but it was harder to do as miles casually waved at you and pointed down at the lock of your window—gesturing for you to unlock it so he could come in. you knew miles was spider man long ago, and he already admitted it to you a few weeks prior; though he had never come to your place personally as spider man, so just seeing him clad in the black and red accented suit is just... a little jarring, surprising, and fun to you all at once.

"babe!" miles exclaimed as he climbed onto your windowsill and gazed at you. he was sopping wet from the constant rain, and your floors were soaking up the rain drops falling on him, but he didn't care if he was wet or dry, all he cared about right now was just being here with you. you spoke to him a mile a minute, pointing out how wet he was, offering to get him a towel—but you couldn't go anywhere else since miles grabbed your wrist gently and tugged a little on you, practically begging you not to leave him yet, not when he's finally here with you now.

he got off your windowsill and wrapped you in a wet, soaked up hug, murmuring how he missed the warmth of you against him. "i can't believe it's been a week... man, i can't another week without you, it'd be like going a whole week without food, water, or air." he muttered as he held you closer. he pulled away from you and took off his mask, and underneath it, you could see his hair all droopy now from the rain water he soaked up; but his charming, brilliant smile and shining eyes full of love and adoration for you persisted.

you told miles you missed him, it was wonderful seeing him again, but you had to get him a towel to dry him off. you went over to your closet and handed him a clean towel for him to dry himself off. miles got a little embarrassed and nodded. "oh, right, right... sorry, babe, i, um... got a little too excited." he said with a chuckle as he dried his hair. you turned around, not facing him as he dried the rest of himself off; luckily, the hoodie he lent you was still with you, dry and clean. he donned the hoodie on and wrung his suit out from your window, the rain droplets it absorbed rejoining the rain droplets falling down on the roofs and pavements, pattering against windows on buildings left and right.

you made miles a cup of hot cocoa and made one for yourself, too. his had little marshmallows and extra sugar, just the way he liked them. you snuggled up with him as you wrapped a blanket around you two by your shoulders, the two of you getting warmed up by each others' body heat and the fluster you were both experiencing right then and there being in each others' presence after so long. miles chuckled as he looked at the mini marshmallows in his drink. "you remembered how to make my favorite, huh?" he asked you as you blew on your hot cocoa and smiled. "how could i not remember?" you asked him as miles smiled wider and kept chuckling in glee as he sipped on the hot cocoa you made him, with you leaning your head against his shoulder as you two drank up, relishing this moment where you two are just sitting together in comfortable, loving silence—being in each other's company after so, so long; with your free hand on top of his, clutching the back of his hand as miles smiled wider to himself as you held him closely to you, almost as if you were wordlessly telling him, 'i'm glad you came... and i really, really missed you, too'.

I just wanted to say that I'm in love (and a bit jealous haha) with your style. It's so pretty and unique! Your hoods are gorgeous and your sims even more! (may i ask you what technique do you use to make them? Pooklet's? Face templates? A lot of sliders?)

I jumped around a lot between maxis-match, semi realistic, etc. trying to find something i liked (and i still feel i didn't quite found something i like 100%) and I'm in awe of how you made something that doesn't look like ts4 nor ts2 but a so cool and pretty in between!!!

(also a disclaimer because I'm a tiny ball of anxiety: this is no shade to anyone who likes other styles, i find them pretty awesome in other people's games, they just look a bit boring on mine. The sims is about having fun and everyone deserves to play it as they like!)

(disclaimer at the beginning of the post, my keyboard is dying since half a year and i'm putting aside the moment to replace it, but after this post, I think I'm gonna make my mind soon lol. So sorry for any misspeling - you can get double nn, no n, no m, no c, double cc, no c and many other surprises - i tried to fix everything but I could miss something xd).

I've restarted my hood 5 times I think before I got it to my recent version. I'm terrified every time through most of the process, it doesn't come easily to me xD.

Also ofc, everyone can have whatever aesthetics they like - the sims is the perfect series to express that.

With my sims it really depends. I mostly make a sim that I really like and then use it as a base for other sims, but not always. Sometimes I make a sim that I think looks quite unique but it's still missing somethig when it comes to features and makeup face details. During those moments I just open up my body shop sometime later or the next day and try to tweak this sim, sometimes it's more than once. And other times I end up liking the idk 3rd attempt but i still keep going since i want to make more similair sims, and also it's tiring to start the process from the beginning every time xD.

sry for the baldness xD - i deleted the wip hair conversion files they had and now i can't never change their hairstyles lol, idk how i did it for those two last sims seriously.

As you can see, all those sims have this maxis chain necklace, which means that I started the process using the same base sim and it just evolved into many differet results lol.

Other times I'm editing some maxis face templates to make them more my style (it's really fun!)

I also made one of my sims face into face template to make the rest of the family. I didn't want their faces to be - mouth: mom; eyes: dad; nose: mom - just a mix of both and adding something extra to make them a little more unique. Kinda pookleted their faces with two face templates.

I just really like this face. It can look either goofy or good xD.

I sometimes get inspired by images of some real life ppl (models, actors). When I'm really out of ideas I'm also dowloading sims made by others and use them as a base - just tweaking their features to be my style, mostly it's about face proportions and replacing the cc they used to the one I have. There is muuuch more examples that I could give but a lot of times it's just a result of tweaking some sims a couple of times xD.

Also due to the fact that i make my sims in body shop, idk how their faces will look whit face expressions. I was always using my sims to create previews for my cc conversions so I'm also testing them that way and if something looks too off - I'm just going back to body shop to fix that.

I think I've developed my style around the clay hair conversions that I've made - I wanted the sims in my previews to go well together with clay hair. I remember that I've picked the hair first, THEN sculpted my sims faces. There just werent that many to choose from at 1st.

I don't really use face templates - I have some, but I don't use them much - i think the proportions on faces of my sims are the closest to the maxis sims 🤔. I like their sharp features so when I'm stuck with making a sim, I'm using the pooklet method with those maxis templates but only a tiiiny bit - like 10-20% and only on those parts of the faces that I want to tweak a little more. After that I'm going back to editing the face myself.

(also a lil bonus of my sim from 2017, the only older picture that i have, i found it recently by accident and i think this is the only time when it's kinda in-context to post it 🤣).

I think he plays a lot of games with a controller instead of keyboard and mouse. That way he can sit further back. One leg curled under him. The other foot flat on the seat of the chair, arms resting on his knee as he plays. I think Rain plays the hard games. Dark Souls. Elden Ring. Stuff that some of the others don't have the patience for. He absolutely has the light up keyboard--the customizable kind, so he can change the colors depending on how he's feeling. Same with the LED lights.

He has overhead lights, but he never uses them, only the strip LEDs.

Sometimes Dew or Swiss come in and lay on his bed and watch him play. They eat snacks and watch like they're watching a movie, making comments. Yelling loudly when things get exciting, hyping Rain up the whole time.

Dew's really great at doing the "Holy shit it's right behind you" two seconds too late.

as an aside, you've described my set up and I'm mad at you (my headphones don't light up, but my keyboard, mouse, and tower all do soooo).

i find the anti endo point of “just doing it for attention” so weird

for one its really disconected from real life, like, attention is a basic need fir our body, its why solutary confinment is such good tourture. its like saying “theyre just doing it to get food” :l dumb argument, evyone needs and withholding food because someones starving is an evil thing to do, an so is ignoring someone who’s in need of social interaction.

and two, its blatantly wrong. like, we’ve told 0 people irl about being a system, we’ve only told like, 3 online friends, and we never talk about system stuff with them still cuz we’re scared of loosing those friends for being too weird. we pretty much never post about it on our blog an besides the blog description no one wud probably ever know. the one time someone guessed we’re a system in a discord servr i had a full anxiety attack an avoided any interaction for 2 weeks even tho they were accepting, an then when we finaly went back to talking there i made sure we had any trace of system stuff wiped from the servr profile an deleted the messages that made them ask and only just showed that all again after 2 months of keeping everything hidden. we’re terrified of people we know knowing we’re a system or getting attention cuz of tgat.

tho we’re definitly on the extreme end for that (mostly me tbh… the social isolation and abandonment issues exo-memories and the body’s trauma from similar irl stuff deff made me super scared about this) but its a pretty similar experience for a lot of systems from wut ive seen where telling ppl is pretty much an act of compleat trust an usualy very anxiety inducing.

besides, if someone really wus just after attention, they could just post a incorrect fact online or a really dumb take. thats much easier an will get a lot more attention than faking being a system ever could. like, saying something like “reading is bourgeoisie” on a semi popular post will be a thousand times better at getting u attention than being a system ever could.

theres so much more i wana say about this, like the ableism inherent to that argument point, or the way its linked to child abuse, but phone keyboard is stupid and terrible and im too hungy to think well enough to write out those points properly an do them justice.

Like, if someone wants to talk to people on the internet about stuff, there are spaces out there for literally anything and anyone. You're not going to get more attention for being a system than you would for being outspoken in a fandom or a religion or any other social group you're a part of.

People who want attention... don't need to pretend to have people in their head to get it. And the attention you would get for that is often going to be negative because a lot of people are sanist and pluralphobic. But as you mention, it's not even the best way to get negative attention when there are so many actual troll-y things you can do.

You can find hundreds of communities online with people who will support you and give you attention for your takes on various topics! Or you can find hundreds more who will hate you if you push the right buttons!

There's just... no logical reason to fake being plural for attention.

part of the reason i like him so much is because i tend to have a thing for cold/stoic characters who are soft on the inside. yesod is only cold and sharp-tongued because he needs to be in order to succeed in lob corps environment. he doesn’t want to get attached to people. he cares so much that he couldn’t allow himself to feel anything at all, esp in an environment where he’s trying so fucking hard to reduce deaths by setting rules and keeping order but people die every day regardless. not only that, but his job was to destroy information that could potentially save those same people. he gets MAD if you let his employees die because he cares about them.

i also used to try and spread my rolsod agenda all the time, i think their relationship is fun

oh yeah and he’s totally OCD-coded. one thing i’ve always liked about projmoon media is how great their representation of mental illness is. both because it feels very accurate and real and a lot of horror media will just drop in a mentally ill person and go “ooo scary mentally ill person being scary bc they’re mentally ill oooo” but the horror aspect in lob corp is focused more on the horrible things that caused him to act that way. he became obsessed with rules and safety because elijah broke the rules and tested the cogito on herself, leading to her slow and painful death.

i've been using computers since i was 2-3 and typing consistently since i was 5 and so it never occurred to me that you have to Learn proper hand placement.... i was never taught typing in a class or even informally i just? got it right at some point i guess??? i truly don't remember ever not typing "correctly" beyond the age of like 8 and i don't know how i figured it out later. it only occurred to me in middle school or whatever when me& other ppl started doing typing tests and they told u about the "correct" placement and i was like yeah??? the way the keyboard Makes you use your hands ergonomically???? and it turns out not everybody sees it that way. Anyway just because i was curious i did a typing test from the perspective of the way you type (index fingers only??) and i got 70 wpm (whereas my regular is around 90-100 wpm)... But i agree that the "right" typing placement is pretty easy to learn once u get into the muscle habit tho i may be biased

omg thats pretty incredible i do think the second i find a way, any way, it clings like a burr regardless of its efficiency or technical accuracy lmao. its truly so contrived and painful the way my hands awkwardly hover over the keyboard only two fingers in use. and wow the typing test difference is pretty crazy......iirc the difference in wpm b/w my brother and i is the same. i rlly look forward to the comfort of a faster speed lol ive got to familiarize myself w it as soon as i can

I then waited by the bus exit for like 15 minutes, peeking through the fence before a security guard asked me what I was doing. I briefly explained to him I just had prints for the bands and he told me "the first band" had already left and "the second band" was about to and that they 'don't get things'

I asked him once or twice just to confirm that there was no one I could give them to in order for them to get them, just so I knew that the Mission had come to its end.

it was already like 4 days ago but i had such a fun time at atl/mayday parade!!

i lined up early to get a good spot cos i was expecting like a line, like for there to actually be a line, but when i got there i was only the 12th person??? tbf there were over a 100 people doing vip apparently so without a lot of them in our ga line there was obviously a lot fewer ppl, but still!

unfortunately it was warmer than i was expecting and i ended up getting a bit sun burnt :( mostly on my nose, brow, upper lip, and hands. nose was the worst! still a bit ouchy, or maybe hands were worst in that i got burned in the same areas as my dermatitis which is a bad combo! they're mostly okay now but my face still hurts a bit. but anyway! i didn't realise i'd got burned until after the show was over when we went into the bathroom so it was too late to do anything about it :/

but again, anyway! my sister and her friend joined me in line a couple hours after i got there so i hung out with some other ppl waiting. my sister said she doesn't like having to line up early but i like it! it's part of the experience to me! but maybe also because i don't have anyone to go to shows with besides her so i like getting to hang out with ppl??? it's nice to just get know ppl a little! and they're like my kinda ppl too i guess because we like similar music!! hard to find that in everyday life

it was a very orderly line though, like we didn't stay in a line, the people who got there first (at like 5am!) numbered everyone with a sharpie, which is like sure it's not official as my sister loved to point out, but it did make everything more chill. they number over 70 ppl before it got too much to keep track of, and then when it was close to doors everyone just lined up basically in order!? it was surprising but nice to see!

anyway, when we actually got into the show! we ended up second row behind some ppl who did vip and some who were ahead of us in line. i can't say it was the best spot but like that's closer than i've ever been to the front when seeing atl before so! i just wish the base of the barricade went a little further back? like it's so hard to jump up and down on an uneven surface!!!

mayday parade were soooooo good as always!! they played a lot of older stuff, like their classic best stuff, the stuff ppl know the words to and we can all sing together!! i wish their set had been longer!!! i mean i guess they were on for nearly 50 minutes? but still!!!

atl also were obviously great too!! we sung happy birthday to some guy? (idk? he was playing a keyboard or something?) 3 times lmao, and alex jack and the bday guy (plus someone in the crowd) all did shoeys (from their own shoes!! not like josh from ymas who used an audience member's lol). it was such a messy show, but like in a good way!! i DO want to see bands having fun together and chatting with us and that kinda thing, like alex was being so silly!!

i was also in the absolute perfect position that when jack threw up his first guitar pick, no one had no idea where it was going, including me, but it hit me right in the middle of the chest lmao. got to pick it up right off the floor cos no one knew it had hit me so no one was looking for it!! third time i've managed to get a pick like that, although first time actually getting hit by it lol

feel like there might have been more i wanted to write about but i can't remember now! oh well. it was a fun night anyway!! would add photos or something but i'm not on my phone so maybe some other time

That's a really good question!

So basically this one requires a combo of puzzle solving and basically cyberstalking (sounds bad but dw they're all fake ppl)

Your two starting points are the lil fire boi YouTube channel and @optimusalpha here on Tumblr, from there you wanna look at who they're interacting with and check out those accounts too (the rabbithole is extremely deep)

You can also search for the same usernames and handles on other platforms, I've been really consistent with using the same pfps if you're ever concerned

There are also ciphers and puzzles hidden around, the most obvious ones are on lil fire boi's YouTube, there's morse code in one of the videos and a cipher hidden in the comments section, and plenty of weirder puzzles in other places too

If you're unfamiliar with ARGs, here are some basic tactics:

turn the volume way up on videos if you think you heard something

slow down videos and turn on captions if something seems fishy (especially if the screen is dark)

if there's really dark image, put it in a photo editor and turn up the brightness and exposure

keyboard smashes pretty much always mean something

And most important of all, if you get stuck, recruit a friend or go on a forum! Loads of people know way too much about ciphers and love solving puzzles

So I think it all depends on WHEN they have the kid. Thoughts about Dean getting pregnant (with John’s kid? With a one night stand?) while Sam is away from college and being surprised when Dean shows up in the Pilot with a toddler on his hip. Of course Sam is overprotective immediately but also SO JEALOUS of whoever the father is. And I also imagine raising a child results in MANY, many fights.

Because in a way, they both don’t want the kid to have their childhood. But also, Dean is in his daddy’s golden boy era. And all of a sudden, he GETS it. He knows what’s out there. Of course when the kid is old enough they need to learn how to use a gun, and a knife, etc. Of course they need to be constantly on the move. Dean turned out okay, didn’t he? Pinnacle of health!

And Sam…also gets that. He knows what’s out there. But he also knows how his childhood messed HIM up. And is faithful that he and Dean can protect the kid. So why do they need to know about the life?

And many, MANY, “I’m their mother and I decide what’s best” defenses and when Dean is really mad: “you’re not even their real father.” Because man can he cut deep sometimes.

Of course in later seasons (Adventures in Babysitting), when Dean isn’t quite seeing John or his childhood in the same light, he’d probably be more inclined to leave the kid out of all of it. But it’s too late. Thus furthering his self hatred!

Now, if Sam & Dean have a baby (let’s say they conceive around In My Time of Dying, since I think unprotected emotional sex might be likely then), you’ve got Sam’s whole SLEW of issues: what if the baby is a freak like him? Does Azazel’s blood run so deep?

But also…I think they’re both so like, happy to have a physical manifestation of their love? That I worry they would place way unfair expectations on said kid. They’d basically have to live the constant divorce & remarry with them being used as collateral in fights.

Not to say that they don’t love the kid unconditionally! I think they would, and they’d try SO hard to be good parents. And would sometimes succeed! But trying your best doesn’t always mean things turn out great (hi, John), and early seasons S&D are NOT breaking the cycle lmfao.

Later seasons? I can’t speak to that but as I understand it they DO raise a kid and it is. Messy

BEST CASE SCENARIO: they have a child in heaven 🥺 and it’s all very domestic and healthy lol. Health-IER. They’re learning to deal w their issues and they’re cemented in their love for each other and there’s no monsters to hunt, of course.

The other elephant in the room here is that this kid is of course aware that they’re a child of an incestuous relationship. So how does this affect hypothetical OC’s ability to form romantic & sexual relationships? That’s something I’d have to percolate on further, but food for thought.

kraftwerk 2 is such a cool album like aside from just being dope i think its so cool u have the songs with bass and guitar not just cause its bass and guitar but like u can hear that ralf and florian still gravitate toward similar playing styles on instruments that they dont seem to be as familiar with compared to their normal instruments. like ralf still pursues rhythmic stuff like he did on the electric organ/electric piano and florian still does like echo-y things and just more expansive spacial sounds like he would on flute but they dont seem as like able to conjure relaxing moods liek they were able to with the keyboard flute combo and instead all the guitar bass stuff sounds more moody. like its intereesting cause  i think theyre really great at the keyboards and flute respectively like florian was able to rly do great terry riley type stuff and ralf was able to improvise in a way that still contributed to the rhythm and deep end of the music while also sprinkling in the lil melodies that kraftwerk would eventually become defined by. but like with them on bass and guitar ralf would still do rhythm stuff but instead on bass and idk if florian was using like an echo still or was just letting the guitar naturally reverb or smthn but like its rly cool that theres still that formula but simply changing the instruments changed the music entirely. idk tho kraftwerk 2 may also be seen as an underwhelming album to some ppl so like its an album that invites being read and analyzed compared to like the psychedelic instrumentals of their first album or the more consistently mood pieces of ralf und florian. tho i do think kraftwerk 2 is a rly great album like i dont actually think its underwhelming at all its just one of those great albums that gets better with each listen and like def feels like compared to their firsst album they were actually trying to set out to make something rly just disciplined unlike the more dicking around type stuff of their first album. i like a lot of their first album too tho i think all their albums are great lol tho their first is probably the most like idk stuff that kinda feels aimless. ppl always say experimental stockhausen stuff in rock/krautrock stuff is aimless and i hate that cause i once saw some1 say taht augmn from tago mago was filler and on the same level as sondarangebot from neu’s debut and that made me want to ring their neck lol like smthn like augmn is def one of cans greatest achievements ANYWAYS ya like in the case of kraftwerks first album a good amount of the spacey stuff kinda feels more like idk just aimless and more just them playing with gadgets in the typical rock fashion than anything with a real weight but also at the same time i like the mix of stockhausen sounds with liek free improvisation sounds like its a cool mix. I REALLY FUCKING LOVE machine gun by peter brotzmann and brotzmann’s work in general cause i lovethat mix of john cage or stockhausen grupen type stuff with free jazz like its rly great conceptually and musically mixing the two with such straightforward success. i mean european free improvisation as a whole is like that and that makes it rly great imo. ANYWAYS i do feel like kraftwerk 1 as a whole is definitely uneven even tho its a great fun listen. like theres things ‘wrong’ with it that isnt in their other work stuff that dates it more but also its still a great fun album for sure. ruckzuck will always be a essential kraftwerk track for sure kinda sucks they disowned their earlier albums cause a song like that rly is an essential part of their history. like its ruckzuck -> kling klang -> tanzmusik -> autobahn -> radio activity -> trans europe express -> the model -> the entirety of computer world -> tour de france etc if you wanna chart their growth and changes as a band solely on a song to song basis. like those ARE the defining songs of their career.
