don’t wanna talk to you - Hyunjin
3k words, makeup sex, reader is mad that Hyunjin is neglecting her and ignores him. Reader is foreigner.
-----------------------------------
"It's like I sacrifice my precious vacation time to come all the way to Seoul and spend time with him but he's always busy with her" I complained to my best friend Juyeon who was over at my house along with Eric after I had called them, frustrated with my oblivious boyfriend.
"So you think he's cheating with you?" Eric asked as Juyeon ran his hands through my hair, my head sat in his lap as the TV played in the background, none of us really caring what was on anyways.
"It's not that. But he knows she likes him. She's always shown it. She tried kissing him at the JYP family event this year knowing he was with me and whenever she's around him she acts all flirty" I explained getting more and more riled up at the thought of Hyunjin hanging out with her.
"But why would he hang out with her then? That makes no sense?" Juyeon quirked an eyebrow as I sighed.
"JYP thought it was a good idea to make them do a collab dance stage so they're working on it. He could have said no though. He's supposed to be on a break but he accepted because he didn't want to let his boss down."
"Ok so if it's just work, why're you so riled up?" Eric asked.
"Because! He goes out to eat with her and they're always texting now ad it's just so fucking annoying" I replied.
"So did you tell him that its bothering you?" Juyeon inquired after listening to my mini rants.
"No. I'm just gonna ignore him. If he doesn't bother spending time with me or considering my feelings then I won't bother acknowledging him" I replied making Juyeon shake his head.
"Stop. I know it sounds petty but he really deserves it" I spoke up before Juyeon could say what was on his mind.
Hyunjin and this girl have known each other for a long time. She's liked him for a long time. She works in the same company as him and always gets to see him. She flirts with him all the time when I'm working and when I come to Seoul during my vacation, he still spends time with her.
"So how long have you been ignoring him for?" Eric grabs some pringles chips and stares at me through the lenses of his golden rimmed glasses, awaiting my response.
"Like 2 days" I answered truthfully. "And do you think he noticed?" Juyeon asks.
"I mean he sent me a message two nights ago and I ignored it, then he sent like three more the next day along with two calls and I ignored them. But I hung out with Chan and Jisung yesterday and texted them so I'm pretty sure he knows" I told them.
"Wow. I don't even know what to say. This is between you two and I'm sure you'll figure it out" Juyeon gave me a small smile that I returned.
"Okay but you hang out with so many guys though? Us and the rest of our members, the rest of stray kids, txt, ab6ix, nct, seventeen, too and so many more. Isn't it a little unfair for you to get mad at him" I lifted my head from Juyeon's lap to look at him after he tried to reason with me.
"All of these guys have never tried to kiss me and respect my relationship. If it were Yeji or Ryujin, I wouldn't worry but it's because it's her. On top of that, I always make time for him and he literally forgot I existed although I came here for him and my friends" I huffed.
After more talking and me basically venting my anger out, we decided to watch a movie before they had to go back to their dorms.
"Love you guys" I hugged them, waving goodnight and closing the door behind me. It was only 8pm but I was pretty sure I wasn't going to go anywhere tonight.
I decided on taking a shower. It was well needed as it gave me time to just think about anything I wanted to underneath the hot and powerful taps of the shower drops.
After showering I put on some body lotion and got dressed in an oversized shirt along with a pair of underwear as it was quite hot this night.
"What the fuck" I stopped scrolling through my phone as I heard the door to my house knock even though I wasn't expecting anyone at this time. It was already about 9pm.
I walked out of my room and towards the door, phone in hand. My house was one story but with several rooms.
As soon as I opened the door I groaned and closed it again. There stood my beautiful boyfriend whom I was very mad at dressed in ripped black jeans and a white button up.
The door was knocked again right as I closed it and I rolled my eyes opening it again.
"I don't want to talk to you" I huffed, trying to look tough despite the 12 cm difference between the two of us, glaring at him even though he towered over me.
"Well we're gonna talk whether you like it or not" He pushed himself inside the house, clearly as frustrated as I was before kicking the door close behind him.
"It's been two days. Two fucking days you're not talking to me and I don't even know why" Hyunjin runs as hand through his hair, staring at me as I stood in front of the front door watching his movements.
"I get that you're mad at me but can you at least tell me what I fucking did" he follows me into the living room as I start walking away from him.
"Why don't you fucking ask Yuna" I glared at him.
"What the fuck are you talking about" He asks, still oblivious to the issue.
"Are you fucking serious Hyunjin. I decide to come to Seoul and spend time with you during my break. And you fucking go on lunch dates with a girl who's clearly into you" I yelled, trying to hold back tears of frustration. I tend to cry when I'm angry or worked up.
"You know we're practicing together for the collab stage and that's it so I don't see the problem" He tells me.
"That's not the problem. The fact that you keep hanging out with her and always texting her, going to eat with her and so on, that's the problem. You haven't spent a minute with me in like a week and you're on a fucking break" I replied.
"I'm only going out to eat with her and hanging with her because even if she likes me, we're still friends and she's my partner. It's not my fault if you're jealous" He shoots back at me.
"Fine then I guess you don't mind me sleeping over at Sunghoon's place" I was purposefully trying to incite a reaction out of him. Sunghoon is a close friend of mine that used to like me.
"The hell you are" He glares at me.
"Who are you to stop me? I'm only hanging with him because even if he liked me, we're still friends. It's not my fault you're jealous" I used his words against him.
"I'm your fucking boyfriend. And I don't understand why you're being like this"
"Because I care about you and you don't act like you care at all about me. Its been a week you're hanging out with her all the time, only texting me as if we weren't in the same country. And you only come to me when I start ignoring you" I wanted to hit him with his own album that I saw resting in my bookshelf.
"You're acting like such a bitch right now. I don't have to spend every fucking minute with you. I have a life you know" He spat.
"You know what you're right. I guess I'm not as important in that life of yours I had thought." I couldn't help but let a tear fall at his words. I turned on my phone that was resting in my hand and quickly unlocked it.
"Babe? Baby are you crying? Fuck I didn't mean to make you cry. Shit I'm sorry" His tone immediately softens as he walks closer to me, cupping my face in his hands and wiping away the tears.
"Are you seriously looking up flights back to the US" He asked incredulously after glancing at my phone screen.
"I mean you clearly don't care if I'm here or not" I huffed, removing his hands from my face.
"Of course I care, so much. And I'm sorry I made it seem like I didn't. You know this project is important for me. Solo projects like these give more attention to the group. And I know you don't like her but trust me, nothing will happen." He began apologizing.
"It's not about trust Hyunjin, it's the fact that you don't even remember I exist and spend all your time with her" I huffed.
"I'm sorr-" "I mean what girlfriend wouldn't be fucking jealous if their boyfriend decided to spend every minute with a girl who likes him" I cut him off.
"Oh so you're jealous huh" He smirked as I glared at him.
"That's besides the point. You really fucking pissed me off" I rolled my eyes
"Okay I'm sorry baby. Ok? I promise tonight and all day tomorrow I'm all yours" He gave me a small peck and this time I didn't reject his actions.
"And you know I might've been spending time with her but it's you I'm always thinking about" he wrapped his arm around my waist, resting his forehead on mine, smiling.
"Cuz you're fucking mine, not hers" I replied, kissing him once again, my hands unconsciously moving to wrap themselves around his neck and pulling him slightly downwards so I didn't have to go on my tippy toes to reach his lips.
"Of course, I'm yours. I'll always be just yours" He whispered, his hands holding onto my waist, pulling me closer, closing the distance so there was not a millimeter of space between our two bodies.
His pink, plump, soft and addictive lips moved against mine and I almost forgot why I was mad at him to begin with. I smile into the kiss as I felt him tug at my bottom lip and smiled even wider when his tongue entered my mouth.
He moved his tongue in sync with my own as his hands travelled down, cupping my ass, rubbing on them and using them to bring me closer to him even if there was no distance between us.
"Fuck baby, jump" He pulled away as I looked at him with a smirk, my arms still hanging onto his neck, jumping slightly so he caught my thighs and wrapped them around his waist. Having a dancer and performer boyfriend came in really handy as he could easy carry me like this with no problem.
I began leaving small kisses and sucking on his neck as he carried me to my room. He obviously knew the way as he was accustomed to the house more than anyone else.
With no words said he used his back to close the door before laying me on the queen sized bed, giving me a small smile whole kicking off his shoes.
"You're so fucking beautiful" He easily slid off his shirt, moving between my legs and lowering his body to plant kisses on my neck.
His fingers trailed on my bare thighs as I realized my shirt definitely rose up so he had a perfect view of everything the underwear wasn't covering.
One of his hands slid under my oversized shirts, cupping a breast and rubbing on it while the other lazily rested at my waist as he continued to suck dark purple marks on my dark skin.
My legs wrapped around his torso, pulling him closer causing him to rut against me making both of us to let out different noises but for the same pleasurable reason.
I lifted my back a little and he immediately understood what I meant as his hands went to the hem of my shirt and in a swift action, he pulled it off, throwing it to the ground next to us.
He groaned, staring at my bare breasts, his lips immediately attaching to one as if it were a magnet. He teasingly held my nipple between his teeth ever so delicately making me whine before he placed his soft lips around the bud and began sucking on it, grinding his prominent bulge against my underwear covered core.
He tried to pull away and my hands instinctively went to the back of his head, keeping him in place as if to not lose the pleasure. I heard him chuckled lightly before slowly lifting his head, staring at me, my nipple still in his mouth, before he released it with a loud pop, moving to the next one.
He began sucking on the breast, already leaving dark purple marks before sucking on the dark and hard nipple that was patiently waiting for his mouth.
"Mm please" I didn't actually know what I was begging for but I was in too much pleasure not only from his lips but from the way his hips moved on me.
He let go of the nipple after a while, blowing onto it before standing up straight, unbuttoning his jeans ever so slowly. It's almost like he wanted to tease me however he was only making himself suffer by imprisoning his erection in those tight clothes for a while longer.
His lip stuck out of his mouth as his brows furrowed in concentration as he removed his jeans and underwear at the same time. He was quite impressive, not only blessed with good looks.
"You're soaked and we barely even started" He smirked, running a finger along my covered slit making me let out a small whine that didn't go by unnoticed by him.
He began chuckling before grabbing the hem of my white underwear and pulling them down, easily.
"As good as you look right now I really need you" He was referring to all the foreplay he wanted to skip and I was completely fine with that.
"You're still here tomorrow" I gave him a small smirk before sitting up, wrapping my arms around his neck and pulling him back onto the bed with me, engaging a passionate kiss. I took the lead as Hyunjin focused on positioning himself.
"Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck" I moaned out as the tip of his length slowly entered, already stretching my walls and he moved his head to rest at the crook of my neck.
"So fucking tight. Fuck" He mumbled, slowly pushing the rest of himself in until he was buried deep inside.
He placed both his hands on either side of my body and slowly began moving. His thrusts were slow and precise and had the both of us cursing and breathing heavily.
I stared at his sweat covered forehead with strands of hairs sticking to it all the way to his glorious lips that were swollen from the kissing to his abs that I could drool over for days.
"HO- FUCK" I might've reacted a tad bit too loudly as he hit a certain area that made the pool of heat in my stomach bubble and a certain knot form.
"You're so fucking hot. Look at you. Under me. So hot. You're gonna make me cum" He grabbed one of my thighs and moved my legs up to his shoulder, resting it there to give him better access.
He continued for a while before I stopped him and flipped us around.
I kissed all over his neck, sucking on a few areas on his chest, shoulders and collarbones and of course the nipples before I positioned myself.
I hovered over his waist, carefully grabbing his length and positioning it at my entrance before sliding on to him.
I began moving slowly as he watched me, jaw slightly parted, his eyes darting from my face to my breasts to his cock being buried deep inside of me.
"Mmm fuck babe c-can you speed up" I began moving faster at his words and he began matching ever bounce I made with a thrust upwards.
"Yeah who fucks you like this huh?" "Only you baby- fuckkk" I was pretty sure the neighbors could hear us considering how loud we were being.
"B-babe I'm coming" his voice for some reason dropped and came out a bit broken as he reached his high.
I felt his cock twitching inside of me and like he predicted, a few seconds later, he released, painting my inner walls white as I rode him until he was finished.
"Keep- keep going you didn't come yet" He looked out of breath when he grabbed my waist as I tried to slide off of him.
"It's fine you don't have too, it was great for me as well so don't worry" I reassured him but he shook his head no.
He gave weak thrusts and I smiled at his attempts to make me feel good as I began moving again, slowly.
It didn't take much time or effort after that for me to come and to get off of him roll over onto the other side of the bed
"I bet Yuna can't give it to you like that" I finally let out after recollecting my breathing.
"Would you let that go already" He chuckled, playfully rolling his eyes before grabbing me and pulling me closer to him.
"I love you. Really. I love you so fucking much. And I might not always show it but I do. And nobody could ever compare to you babe" He kissed my forehead as I tried to suppress the huge grin making way on my face.
"I love you more Hyunjin" I breathed out, moving closer to him as his grip around me tightened.

summary: a summer getaway gets heated, in more ways than one.
warnings: none
a/n: part of @delirieum's hot milf summer collab!
She’s always had a dislike for summer. The sticky, humid heat. The influx of tourists, which meant more crime. The increase in her number of patrols. Summer meant more work in near unbearable conditions.
There is one plus to summer, though. It means the kids are out of school, so she gets to spend more time with them. Sure, during the day she’s always on patrol, but then she gets to pick them up from her parents’ house and take them to pick out dinner. They don’t have to be in bed for school, so she can introduce them to her favorite childhood movies.
This summer is different, though. Her parents are taking their grandkids on a vacation and she can’t go with them. Work is having their own week-long mandatory ‘vacation’, which involves flying out to an island for team-building exercises disguised as fun. It’s the first time the agency has done something like this, but her guess as to why is as good as anyone else’s.
“Mommy, do you have to go?” Her youngest asks. She kneels before him, giving him a soft smile.
“I’m sorry, sweetie, but mommy has to go because of work.” He pouts, crossing his arms with a frown.
“I don’t want you to go.” Isaac looks close to tears. “I don’t want to go with Nanny and Pappy. I want to go with Mommy.”
“Isaac,” she brushes tears from his cheeks with a thumb. “Don’t cry, sweetheart. Mommy will be back. And I’ll call every night before bedtime.”
“Promise?” He sniffles. She nods, holding out her pinky. He grins, wrapping his much smaller pinky around hers.
“I pinky-promise,” she answers. His tears have started to dry up.
“Okay,” he finally relents. “I’ll go with Nanny and Pappy.”
“That’s my boy,” she ruffles his hair, the curls catching occasionally. He doesn’t seem to notice.
He runs off towards the front door, giggling the whole way. She stands, watching him go with a smile. He’s always been a cheerful kid, willing to do as she asks. She’s grateful for it. However, her eldest isn’t as agreeable. Perhaps being close to ten, she’s just going through a face. She was a fussy baby, though, so something tells her she just takes too much after her father.
“Why do I have to go?” Hazel starts. “I’m old enough to make my own decisions.”
“Hazel,” she reproaches. “I don’t have time to find you a babysitter. Nanny and Pappy already agreed to take you somewhere fun.”
“Ugh,” she groans. “Whatever, mom.” Hazel storms off without another word. She frowns, watching her go. If only there was some way she could make both of them happy. She hadn’t lied, though; the trip for work was very sudden and she didn’t have time to look for a babysitter. It was only through luck that her parents had agreed to take them on vacation with them this year. Perhaps because they were both old enough not to need as much supervision and constant care.
With a sigh, she grabs her suitcase once more and climbs into the taxi. She really wishes she could have given Hazel a goodbye hug, but she knows her daughter well enough to know that wouldn’t have gone down easily. There would have been a lot of yelling and pushing, possibly some kicking. She really hopes Hazel doesn’t regret not saying goodbye.
The taxi drops her off outside the entrance of the airport. She takes her suitcase from the trunk before heading inside. The layout is huge, but everything is clearly marked and mapped. She has no issues finding the check-in for the airline. Finding the gate is even easier, since each gate is in a specific order. She sits down to wait for their boarding time, taking her phone out to make sure there are no calls or texts from her parents. Thankfully, there are none so everything must be alright.
She decides to look around the area from her seat, spotting several familiar faces in the seats around her. They all seem absorbed in their own activities, so she leaves them be. She was never really familiar with any of the other sidekicks, anyway. Being a single parent meant she didn’t have much time for get-togethers, so she was always turning down invites after patrols. They’re always friendly towards her, however, so she thinks they’re all on good terms. They probably understand her hesitance to leave her kids at home with the babysitter longer than needed.
After a while, it’s time to board the plane. It’s her first time flying since before Isaac was born, but she still remembers the drill. Show your boarding pass, get it scanned, find your seat. It’s very straightforward. Everything about the trip so far has been, which is something she’s grateful for. She’s not a huge fan of surprises. Never has been. Although she supposes Isaac and Hazel are two surprises she absolutely couldn’t live without.
Soon, the pre-flight announcements are beginning. She’s surprised to see no one in the seat beside her. It’s nearly a full plane, though she’s not going to complain. It just means she has more room to stretch out. She listens to the pre-flight announcements, turning off her phone as instructed. She takes her in-flight bag off the floor, putting it in the empty seat beside her. She couldn’t quite reach the overhead bin and had been too embarrassed to ask for help.
The plane takes off, bringing with it a slew of emotions. She’s excited to be going somewhere, even if it’s for work, but she’s going to miss her kids. Not being able to see them for an entire week? It’s an entirely new experience for her. She’s been home with them basically since they were each born. She’s been there to kiss ouchies better, to read them stories before bed, tuck them in with a kiss on their foreheads. She’s been there to wipe their tears, to make them smile and laugh. Being away from them will be a new experience for all of them, but at least they won’t be completely alone. She trusts her parents to take care of them, just like they cared for her as a child.
She takes comfort in that thought, relaxing back against the seat. She hadn’t realized how tense she’d been the whole time, but once she relaxes the soreness of her muscles makes itself known. She rubs at her thigh, trying to soothe some of the pain. It works, to some degree. She’ll just have to remind herself to relax and take something for the pain once the plane lands.
She rests her head against the headrest, closing her eyes. Nothing wrong with a nap on the flight. Just as long as the turbulence of landing wakes her, she’ll be fine. She feels herself slipping into unconsciousness….
The island is beyond anything she could have imagined. It’s lush and tropical, palm trees dotted everywhere. The air smells like salt from the sea, but somehow still refreshing compared to city air. Even the hotel is magnificent. There’s an indoor spa! She’s never stayed anywhere with its own spa.
They arrive late the first day, so they’re told to find their rooms and get settled in. They’ll receive instructions the next day, according to Burnin who is giving the orders. She wonders if Endeavor will show or if this whole event is being organized by Burnin. She’s certainly capable of doing it.
She spends the first night unpacking and familiarizing herself with the hotel. There’s so many extra amenities and she hopes she has time to try out some of them. She takes photos of the view from her hotel window, sending it to her parents so they can show Isaac and Hazel. When she’s finished exploring, she retires to her room and makes the promised call.
Everyone is doing great, of course. They also made it to their hotel, which Isaac excitedly informs her has an indoor pool. Hazel is much less talkative, but seems to be in high spirits even if she doesn’t outright say it. She’s glad they’re enjoying their trip so far and hopes they keep up the momentum. When they finish swapping stories, she wishes them goodnight and tells them she’ll talk more tomorrow.
The next day, they all have breakfast in the hotel’s café before convening outside. It’s more upscale dining than what she’d have expected. Once outside, Burnin gathers everyone close before speaking.
“Hello, everyone!” Her voice easily carries across the crowd. “I hope you’re ready for a fun week!”
There are cheers from the other sidekicks.
“Well, have I got a surprise for all of you.” She’s close enough to see Burnin grin. “There’s no agenda for this week, aside from getting out there and having fun together!”
No agenda? She’s a little surprised by that. She thought this was a mandatory team-building trip, not just a vacation. She feels conflicted. On one hand, she’s glad for the opportunity. On the other, she had fully expected the week to be planned out for her so now she’s at a loss.
What does one even do on vacation? It’s been eighteen years since she’s done anything by herself. Sure, she’s taken weekend trips with Hazel and Isaac but never alone. And never somewhere so opulent or tropical. She doesn’t know what to do with herself now.
“Now get out there and have fun!” She snaps back to reality at the sound of everyone’s cheers, before shuffling back inside the hotel. Whatever she wants to do, huh?
She changes into something more comfortable, having expected there to be training. Thankfully, she had thought ahead and packed extra clothes on the off-chance there was any free time. It looks like her foresight had come in handy, as she takes out her bathing suit and coverup. Nothing like a trip to the beach.
She’s surprised that there’s no rigorous training. Endeavor is known for running a tight ship, so this whole trip seems out of character. Then again, ever since his last major fight, something had changed. He’s still just as strict, but he seems almost approachable now. A little more lenient. She’s certainly not as terrified of being called to his office anymore.
She wonders if he’s come on this trip, as well, or if he’s staying back at the office. He could use the trip, she feels. He’s always working so hard. Besides, she swears she saw his youngest in the crowd. If his son is here, surely he would’ve come as well.
Someone clears their throat behind her and she startles, realizing she’s just been staring at the open elevator doors. She shakes her head, murmuring an apology, and enters the elevator. The figure behind her enters, as well, and as she turns her eyes go wide.
“Endeavor, sir,” she hurries to greets, giving a polite bow. “Thank you for this opportunity.”
He doesn’t say anything, just looks at her with a grimace. She wonders if she’s said something wrong before he grumbles something under his breath, inclining his head in acknowledgment. He doesn’t say anything else, but she’s shocked to see him. She wants to comment on it, but the elevator arrives at the ground floor before she can figure it out.
“Ah, Endeavor, sir,” she calls out without thinking.
“Please call me Enji.” She can’t help the eyebrow that raises. “We’re on vacation. I’m not your boss right now.”
“Of course, Enji, sir.” He doesn’t look pleased with the added ‘sir’ so she tries again. “Alright. Enji.” It feels awkward coming out of her mouth. He’s been her boss for the better part of a decade and never once called him by name.
He seems pleased by the amendment on her part, though it’s hard to tell with him. She shifts her weight from foot to foot, trying to figure out why she even called out to him. He waits, turquoise eyes trained on her.
“Would you like to come to the beach with me?” She almost smacks herself with how bold she’s being. Sure, he’s been nice to her over the past few months, but that doesn’t mean he wants to be friendly.
He looks just as surprised by the offer, one eyebrow raised. She purses her lips to keep from saying anything more, waiting on an answer. Her heart pounds in her chest. Finally, he speaks.
“You’re going to the beach?” She nods. “I’ll accompany you. I was headed there regardless.”
She takes in his appearance for the first time, noting the swim shorts. He’s wearing a white t-shirt, a towel slung over his shoulders. She nods to show she understands, eyes moving back up his hulking frame, to find his eyes also looking over her.
Had she just been caught checking out her boss?
Had she just caught her boss checking her out?
The thought brings warmth to her cheeks. She ducks her head down, though she’s sure he’s already seen her blush. She decides to take the lead, brushing past him towards the door. She can feel him follow, after a few tense seconds.
She feels a little silly. She’s too old to be checking out other men, let alone her boss. It doesn’t matter if he’s older; he has his own family. She knows he has at least three kids, though she’s never heard about their mother. He has to be married, though. There’s no way a man like him hasn’t been snatched up.
She tries to push those thoughts aside, instead focusing on walking down to the beach. It’s not far from the hotel; might as well consider it the backyard. The closer they get, the more of the ocean she can smell. She’s not sure it’s an entirely pleasant scent.
There isn’t much in the way of conversation. For her, it’s just too awkward to start one and he’s not exactly known for being chatty. She’s sure he doesn’t find it awkward at all, the silence. But she does.
As she scrambles to come up with something to say, they finally arrive at the beach. There’s a few others on the beach, rainbow color of towels spread along the sand. She tries to find a spot some distance from the main crowd, not wanting to interrupt or intrude.
She expects him to part once they reach the beach, but he keeps pace with her easily. She did invite him to come with, but she hadn’t actually expected him to follow through. Sure, they talk at work about work. But conversations about patrols are entirely different from conversations about life and the weather.
They lay their towels out, red and blue side by side. It’s a little closer than she’d been expecting, but still a respectable distance apart. She hesitates a brief moment before pulling her coverup off, folding it and setting it aside. She has nothing to be embarrassed about.
Hero work has been good to her. Even after two kids, her physique is still desirable. She’s not exactly slim, but she’s muscular enough to hide the chub from two kids. She has very few major scars, the most notable being the faded white scar on her right leg from a piece of metal out of a falling building. She’s lucky it didn’t take her entire leg.
“I’m going to swim,” she announces to her company. He inclines his head, again not saying anything. She leaves him where he’s reclining on his towel, heading down to the water.
She feels more comfortable in the water. It’s cool and refreshing, compared to the sticky heat on the beach. She takes her time in the water, swimming around and floating. She even rides a few waves to the shore before swimming back out. When she’s had enough, she returns to her towel.
Endeavor—Enji, she corrects herself. He’s still laid out on his towel, but his eyes open when he hears her approach. She flops down onto her towel, feeling energized after her swim. She turns her head to face Enji, having felt his eyes on her.
He’s wearing an inscrutable expression. He’s not exactly easy to read, but it looks as if he’s taking extra care not to express any emotion. She offers him a smile, not sure what to do or say. He doesn’t return it, but he does finally look away.
She peers up at the clear blue sky, wondering what kind of exchange that was. She rests her arms behind her head, closing her eyes. It’s a vacation. She’s going to get in as many naps as possible….
She wakes sometimes later, having been shaken awake. She blinks a few times to clear the sleep from her vision.
“The tide is coming in,” Enji tells her. She nods to show her understanding before sitting up. She stretches with a yawn. “Dinner?”
She’s not sure if it’s a question or a demand.
“Sure,” she agrees. “I could go for something to eat.” She stands, grabbing her towel. She shakes off as much sand as possible before slipping her coverup back on.
“We should change at the hotel,” he says.
“Good idea.” She looks down at herself. “A quick shower might be good, too.” She gives him a crooked smile. He nods and she swears she sees the ghost of a smile on his lips.
She feels significantly less uncomfortable on the walk back, perhaps because he’s actually not that scary. He’s just not very talkative. And if she doesn’t think about how he’s her boss, it’s almost like hanging out with a friend. A very new friend. Okay, maybe it’s still a little awkward.
Dinner is a quick and quiet affair. He doesn’t say much and she isn’t sure what to say. When they finish, they bid each other a good night and go their separate ways. She takes the time to call her parents so she can speak with Isaac and Hazel. They tell her all about their trip so far and she shares hers.
“You spoke with Mr. Endeavor?” Isaac seems in awe.
“Yeah, sweetie. I spoke with Mr. Endeavor.”
“Can you get his autograph for me?” She can hear the excitement in his voice.
“His autograph?” She repeats.
“Yes!” Isaac is definitely bouncing on the other end. “I saw him on the TV! He’s my new favorite Hero!” She chuckles.
“Sure thing, sweetie. I’ll get his autograph for you.” It shouldn’t be too difficult. He is her boss and she’s sure he’s used to being asked for it.
“You’re the best, Mommy!” She smiles at that.
“Love you, too, sweetie.”
“Okay, I’m gonna give the phone to Hazel now.” There’s a shuffling noise before she hears Hazel’s voice.
“How are things going, Mom?”
“They’re going well,” she answers. “How are you doing?”
“It’s okay.” She hears Hazel shrug. “Nanny took me to the museum, so I guess it’s alright.”
“The museum?” She prompts. “Which one?”
“The Hero Museum,” there’s a smile in her voice. “It was pretty cool.”
“I’m glad you enjoyed yourself.” She really is. Hazel is a difficult child sometimes, but her interests aren’t outside the realm of any other ten-year-old. “I love you, sweetheart.”
“Love you too, Mom,” Hazel huffs. “I’m giving you back to Nanny now.” More noise as the phone is swapped to another.
She talks to her mom for a few more minutes, just to be sure the kids are behaving. Her mom assures her that everything is fine and to enjoy her own vacation.
The next day is spent much the same: at the beach with her boss. Enji. She keeps having to remind herself. She does manage to get his autograph, explaining it’s for her youngest. He asks about him, and she’s more than happy to talk about her kids.
He speaks about his own children, much older than her own, but there’s pride in his voice as he speaks about them. She can’t help but smile, her laughter coming freely when he tells embarrassing stories about them. It feels like she’s getting to know him and she can’t help but like what she’s seeing.
It’s hard not to find him physically attractive, but she’s old enough to not be distracted by a pretty body. She’s worked for his agency for nearly ten years; she’s long gotten used to the way he looks. But something about their conversations has her reassessing him.
The third day on the island, something feels different between them. He feels warmer, somehow. It isn’t exactly anything particular he does. It’s in the way they lean towards each other when they speak, the way they keep bumping into each other, the way they keep finding ways to spend time together. It’s a combination of all these things that has her heart pounding when she sees him.
She decides to make a move. Either he ignores it or he reciprocates. Either way, there’s no harm done. They’re on vacation. Perhaps she’s feeling a little risky because of it. Away from work, away from her kids, she’s feeling a little more brave than usual.
It’s been years since she last was with anyone. After Isaac’s father left, she swore off dating and catching feelings in general. It was just too much of a hassle. Why now, after all these years, she isn’t sure. Something about it just feels different. Feels right.
They go out for dinner as usual, but she invites him to the hotel bar afterwards. She doesn’t fully expect him to agree, so when he does she’s feeling more confident. They sit next to each other at the near empty hotel bar, drinks in hand.
When she makes a joke, laughing at it while he gives a slight grin, she reaches out to put her hand on his arm. He looks surprised by it at first, eyes going slightly wider. She wonders for a brief moment if she’s overstepped, pulling her hand back, but he quickly grabs it before she can withdraw.
They stare at one another, neither saying anything. It’s like he’s waiting for a signal. She nods. He moves into action, pulling her up from her seat. He keeps their fingers entwined, tugging her along to the elevator.
It’s actually happening, she realizes, as she leads him to her hotel room. She didn’t think this would ever actually happen.
He presses her against the hotel door, mouth hot and heavy on hers. She grasps at his arms, his shirt, anything she can reach to keep herself afloat. She’s quickly giving in, sinking further into his desires. She doesn’t think she wants to fight them anymore.
His mouth moves down to her neck, biting and kissing. She can’t help the sounds spilling from her and just hopes no one in the rooms around can hear her. His hands—big, so big—tug at her dress until she’s slipping the straps from her shoulders and letting it fall to the ground.
His bright turquoise eyes stare at her, wearing nothing more than a pair of lacy underwear. She feels intimidated by that heavy gaze, feels the urge to cover herself.
“Don’t,” he growls as he grabs her hands, pulling them away. “Let me see you.”
She lets her hands fall to the side, trying not to feel so self-conscious. She tries not to think of all the stretch marks across her belly and thighs, on the tops of her breasts. She tries to remind herself that they wouldn’t be here if he didn’t see something desirable about her body.
“Beautiful,” he murmurs, cupping a breast. It fits perfectly in his hand, his thumb rubbing circles against her nipple. She squirms, a moan slipping from her parted lips.
“You too,” she tosses back. “I want to see you, too.” He grins, something crooked and slightly menacing. But he pulls away from her, tugging off his shirt and shorts. She reaches for the last piece separating them from each other, pulling them down.
She can’t help but stare. She knew he was a large man, but it couldn’t have prepared her for how proportionate that made him. Long and thick, red at the head. She wraps her hand around him as best she can, giving a few short tugs, and hears him groan. Will it even fit?
She doesn’t have much more room for thought as he pulls her in for another kiss, tugging her towards the bed. She goes willingly, wanting nothing more than to feel him against her. He nibbles at her bottom lip and she licks at his; soon their tongues tangle together. It’s been so long since she’s been with anyone like this. She hopes she can make it as good for him as it feels for her.
She lays on the bed, situating herself against the pillows. She beckons him, wanting to close the distance between them. He lays himself atop her, balanced by his hands on either side of her hips. He kisses her, sweeter this time. Not as desperate.
He kisses a path down her neck, across her shoulder, before dipping to take a nipple into his mouth. She shudders, pleasure welling within her. She runs a hand through his hair, red strands tickling between her fingers. He hums, licking and sucking her nipples.
“Enji,” she whines, pushing on his head. He chuckles, moving lower. He plants kisses across her stomach, still a little pudgy from her last pregnancy nearly eight years ago. She feels self-conscious about it, but the way he worships her body makes it a little better.
Finally, he’s exactly where she wants him. He wastes no time, diving right into his task. Her head knocks against the headboard, but the brief bloom of pain is nothing compared to the sensation between her legs.
He eats her out like a man starved. A little uncoordinated, but enthusiastic. His tongue circles her clit before flicking it, a single thick finger toying with her hole. She grips the blankets beneath them, unable to stop the noises slipping out of her kiss-swollen lips.
He slips a single finger in finally. It’s as thick as two of her own, but she knows she’s going to need the preparation if he’s going inside of her. She squirms, wanting to clamp her legs shut, but his shoulders keep her spread. She has no choice but to give in to the onslaught of sensations.
And give in she does. Head thrown back, mouth open and spilling profanity with his name mixed in. She couldn’t keep quiet if she wanted to and she can tell he definitely doesn’t want her to keep quiet. That single finger pumps in and out, stretching her, before he adds a second.
It’s almost too much, but she forces her body to relax. She’s soaking, giving him plenty to work with. His spit and her fluids ease the way for that second finger. She moans, pressing down against him. She feels his laughter, a gentle vibration through her cunt.
“Please,” she begs. “Want you inside.”
She’s ready for it. She can handle it. He pulls off, looking up at her, and she can’t help but flush at the sight of him. His chin is wet with her juices, his lips swollen. He shifts up, towering above her, and reaches down to line himself up.
Her mouth opens on a silent moan as he pushes in, stretching her beyond what she thought she was capable of. It’s painful at first, but as she has time to adjust it morphs into pleasure.
“Finally,” his voice rumbles through her. “Been wanting to do this.”
She whines, pushing her hips down and against him. She needs him to move already. It’s been ages since she last got fucked and she’s eager for it. She wants him to pound her into the mattress until she forgets who she is.
He delivers on those fantasies. He fucks into her roughly and with abandon, until she’s moaning his name and his name only. He shoves two of his fingers into her mouth and she sucks on them, drool seeping from the corner of her mouth. She doesn’t even care, too busy with the feel of him.
She doesn’t even care anymore when things changed between them. The only thing she cares about in that moment is coming around his cock. She can worry about feelings and emotions later. Right now, she’s only focused on reaching that high.
He reaches between them to roll his thumb against her clit and she can feel her eyes roll to the back of her head. Just a few circles and she’s cumming hard around his cock. He fucks her through it, fingers shoved deep in her mouth.
When she comes down, she takes a moment to appreciate the fucked out look on his face. The squinting of his eyes as he concentrates, the sweat beading on his temples, and the slack-jawed grunts and groans spilling from his lips.
“Inside,” she tells him. “Come inside me.” It’s a risky request, but she wants it. He does, too, judging by the way his thrusts speed up until he growls and spills inside of her.
When he pulls up, she feels his semen trickle down the inside of her thighs. He collapses onto the bed beside her, but searches for her hand among the sheets. He laces their fingers together and she smiles up at the ceiling.
The mood is ruined by the sound of her ringtone, however. She’s tempted not to answer, but it might be her parents calling about the kids. With a sigh and a silent promise to return, she gets out of the bed to answer.
“Mommy!” Her son, Isaac, shouts from the other side. “Are you coming home yet?”
“Not yet, sweetie,” she laughs. “In a few more days.”
“Awww,” he pouts. “You’re with Mr. Endeavor, right, mommy?”
“Yeah,” her voice is soft with affection as she gazes towards the bed, where Enji is lounging.
“Did you get his autograph for me?” She chuckles, but confirms she did.. “Yay! You’re the best, mommy!”
Isaac hands the phone off to her mother, who updates her on her eldest who refuses to come to the phone. It’s just like Hazel to be so stubborn. They’re doing fine, her mother assures her, and tells her to enjoy her only vacation in eight years. She just laughs, but promises to have as much fun as possible.
When she’s finished, she sets her phone back down on the desk and wanders back to the bed. Enji greets her with open arms and she rests her head on his chest. She listens to his heartbeat, letting it lull her to sleep.
Best getaway ever, is her final thought before she falls asleep.

“BONES.”
✰ PAIRING ⤷ dabi x fem!reader
SUMMARY ⤷ It took him over a decade to muddle his brain with different memories to overshadow his past ones, not wanting for the abstained shadows of remembrance to embrace him.
It’s not that he doesn’t trust you.
Dabi doesn’t trust himself.
He doesn’t trust the color of his mind to stay in the now state it’s in. If Touya Todoroki were to unwrap the gauze that clung to his very being, he’d fall apart. And he couldn’t have that. This unforgiving life of his had finally unfolded its palms and given him a gift and he’d stay sane for as long as he could to enjoy it.
✰ WC ⤷ 6.6k?
✰ TAGS ⤷ major angst, there is fluff though pinky promise, there’s a suggestive line, please don’t cancel me, it was detrimental to the story manga spoilers, a few curse words, character death, very, very soft dabi, shigaraki is an ass
NOTES ⤷ this is, indeed, the longest thing I've written that wasn't for school. and the summary is just a blurb because i had no idea what to write there. lol, I'm sitting at my laptop while crying my eyes out...... but uh.... I hope you like it ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ
You smoke, Dabi takes that into account on the first day he sees you. Dabi hates cigarettes, despises them. He hates that itchy feeling his lungs get whenever he takes a drag, hates the way it makes him feel abyssal, co-dependent. And if there's one thing that Dabi hates, it's relying on something else that wasn't him self.
With that into consideration, he’s not entirely sure why you catch his eye, you’re not typically the type he goes for. He usually chose the dainty ones, the ones that were so eager to experience a jive of thrill, they don’t realize that they’ve encountered a person who played an important role in one of the most powerful villain organizations.
You're in the corner of a dingy bar, the dim lights somehow doing your angelic features justice. The light catches the glint of your name tag and the pastel blue of your scrubs. You look tired. Even from a far distance, he can see the sunken tent of your cheeks. The cigarette stick which hangs from in between your index finger and middle is halfway from becoming a stub. The plastic platter of pretzels that sit across from your chest is untouched as you grumble out replies to the bartender who's trying to make conversation with —a very uninterested— you.
When the clock hits eleven, your bar stool is scraping the ground as you attempt to leave. The relentless bartender grabs your arm with one last plea. His voice raising when you deny the idea that you should give him your number because you're too pretty to be by yourself. With one last pull, you stomp away towards the exit. Dabi doesn't know if it's because he's a villain too, but he follows after you. His senses telling him that there’s no way the bartender who you’d just rejected would let his wounded pride stay unbandaged.
He’s careful not to make any noises with the soles of his boots. The absence of street lights concealing his figure. Unbeknownst to him, his body enforces the skills he uses while stalking his next prey. His languid motions flowing with the same transverse as the cold, biting wind.
And you don’t notice a thing, your hands stuffed into the pockets of your thick silver jacket. But when your walking comes to a stop, Dabi’s heart nearly tumbles out from his chest. Not a second later, you pull out a pack of cigarettes and place one to your lips, lighting it in one go. When you resume walking, Dabi’s body internally holds a jubilee with jeers of relief. He’s not exactly sure why he’s helping you but what type of person would he be if he let a pretty lady like you get hurt?
At the thought, his throat tickles with the hope to let out a laugh.
When Dabi hears the crunch of leaves that bounce off the cracked concrete, for the second time that night he nearly breaks into a fit of laughter. The culprit’s first step is to trap you behind the fenced wall and his burly figure. What an amateur.
A part of Dabi wants to wait and see what you do. Are you a regular civilian? Do you have a strong quirk that would fight him off? His trail of thought evaporates when you hiccup out a laugh, smoke from the corner of your lips flowing into the man’s face. Dabi’s eyebrows quirking up with interest. What’s your next act?
After several hitches of breath, nothing comes and Dabi finally decides to step in as he feels the waves of anger emitting from the balding, middle-aged man who has you cornered.
The confrontation is brief —when the bartender turns to glance at an approaching lean, scarred figure, he scurries off without a word.
“Didn’t have to help me, I had it in the bag.” You squint at your savior as your cigarette bobs with the movement of your full lips. His stature towers over yours but you don’t seem the little bit phased.
“You weren’t scared,” he says and it’s more of a question than a statement. His cool voice sends a frosty layer through each stack of your vertebrae. Though, it slowly ebbs away as you study his features and realize how pretty he is —his eyes a pool of melted lapis. Sharp cheekbones molded to accustom to scars and silver staples that do nothing but add to your thinking connotation of him being ambiguity personified.
“Yeah, even if he did... you know.” You wave your hand. “He would’ve died sooner or later.” Dabi’s eyes narrow in confusion as he catches the way your eyelashes flutter prettily against your skin.
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Oh.. uh- he had heart issues, the kind you can’t recover from.” You remove the lit stick from your lips and give him a full-toothed smile. “Thank you, Mr. Stranger.” And with that, you turn away and resume your lethargic walk down an empty alleyway.
Must be your quirk. Dabi thinks as he watches your figure disappear into the grasping shadows of the night. When he returns to the battered LOV hideout, he goes out of his way to avoid any interaction with the League. Refusing to taint his memory of your pretty smile and pretty face.
The next time Dabi sees you, you’re in the same place. This time you’re not wearing scrubs, opting for a more casual look with a baby blue top that contrasts nicely with your skin and jeans that accentuate your figure. You don't have a pack of cigarettes either.
Unlike before, you notice his stare and you bathe in it. The bartender from the other day all but glances at you. Amusingly, you turn to glance at the brooding figure in the corner of the bar with a knowing look.
After two beers and spinning courage, you walk towards Dabi with sway in your step. His eyes follow your movement until you decide to situate yourself next to him in the booth. His low lids focus on you as you fidget with your manicured fingers. Cute. He thinks. You’re too cute for your own good.
“What’s your name?” You break the silence. Teeth gnawing into the plush dent of your bottom lip.
Dabi takes his time to mull over his answer, he doesn’t notice the way his body temperature flares nor the tiny blue flames that threaten to dance on his scabbed knuckles. A grasp —an unfamiliar cloak, wraps its fabric around his shoulders. Prickles of his being push with urgency to ease it away but it’s all in vain.
“Touya.”
Touya, from the corner of his eye, watches your eyes light up with interest. Bright and wide with swirling specks of gaiety— joy. Which Dabi guesses are because of him. He turns his attention away from you, not wanting to get warped into your pretty eyes that sparkle just from hearing his name.
“S’ a pretty name,” you whisper. Sporting a subtle grin, one that blows wide when you see all four chambers of his heart pumping wildly with blood.
“Can you walk me home, Touya?”
It goes on like this, again and again —conversations with Touya at the back of the bar, sitting next to him in the grimy booth. His replies are quip ones but you know he’s listening to your idle chatter because you feel the way his eyes bore into your skull.
The night always comes to a close with both of you walking shoulder to shoulder, the plans of your upcoming day echoing off the bounds of the night sky. You live in an apartment building, a shitty one. He remembers you complaining about the squeaky floorboards, your loud neighbors, and the pervy, greasy-haired landlord that barges through your door at the most unreasonable times of the day. Touya raises his eyebrow at that.
“I’ll take care of him for you.” The words fly past his lips before he can stop them.
Your response is a peal of robust laughter that comes to a halt when you pull out a cigarette. “I’ll be sure to come to you,” you say. Today marked the thirtieth time you both engaged in subtle conversation. He takes note in the fact that you only smoke when you wear scrubs —the rope of curiosity gets the best of him.
“I have to keep up with the appearance of my two personalities, duh.” Touya has no clue what you mean but your clipped tone tells him that he shouldn't pry.
Meanwhile, your eyes flit to his sapphire ones than to his lips.
“Touya?”
“Mhm?”
“Can I kiss you?” You watch the way his eyes widen with a low giggle.
But before he can answer, your lips are already on his. He’s quick to take action as he cups the underside of your jaw, your breath minty even though you just had a smoke. His head’s a mess, there’s a jumble of terms that fail to come together and form coherent ones. The only thing his brain can commit is the pillowy softness of your lips. Sadly, he can’t enjoy the whole experience. His bottom lip erased with the tissue needed to feel, only leaving a purpled patch in its wake.
For a second, his chest tides over with a tinge of shame but it’s quickly washed away as you pull him even closer. Your small, gentle fingers carding through his soft, inky tresses.
The kiss ends when you pull away with a breathless sigh. You stay close to him, noses nearly touching as once shared breaths mingle. His hands are on your hips now, slowly kneading the soft flesh. A couple of seconds dart by as your dark eyes stare into his bright ones. The low-lighted area giving them a fascinating glow.
You want to tell him how pretty he looks at this moment. His flustered expression causing your gut to simmer with heat.
You need to tell him how nicely entrapped his presence always makes you feel but something in you decides against it, choosing to save it for another time. So you search for an alternative, breath growing unsteady as you stumble across one.
“Can you....walk me home, Touya?” This time it's different from the first night you asked him.
This time your voice trails off with a much different undertone.
››››››››››››››››››››› ~★~ ›››››››››››››››››››››
Touya wakes up before you do. Peeks of the sun squeeze through your bedroom blinds, casting a shining glow on your skin. As he studies your peaceful features, he encounters a divulgence. One that causes his skin to crawl with parasites that immediately beg him to keep up with this facade. To derive a little longer and enjoy this bliss at his own expense. However, Touya decides against it. It’s quite obvious that he’s not the safest person to be around, his appearance giving that thought away.
It might be better if he tells you first, he thinks.
It might be better if he lets a precious thing like you go before he builds a stockpile of lies that’ll eventually come crashing down when the realization finally hits.
“I’m a villain, you know,” he murmurs as he watches your eyelids flutter open. He grimaces as he tries to think of what your reaction may be. The first words you woke up to would have to be that you’d let a criminal into your home —into your bed.
He sits up to place his back on your cool headboard. The bell of anxiousness that sits at the pit of his stomach rings after a few beats of silence. You turn to stare at his upright figure with two arms tucked underneath your satin pillow. “I know, m’ not stupid, Touya.” You grumble, turning your head to return to sleep.
“What?” His eyebrows knit has his chest shutters with disbelief.
You ignore his bewilderment. “Since we’re confessing our deepest, darkest secrets can I tell you what could’ve been my villain origin story?” Touya stares at your face before bursting into laughter, one that nearly causes the staples around his jaw to unhinge. Though, this laughter is one of relief.
A part of him doesn’t believe it.
He doesn’t think he’s ever done a deed so right, so pure, that had earned him someone like you. The only thing his reeling mind can suffice is that he had killed a scum in some random, dirty alley that ended up being the lowest of the low. At the random thought, he laughs some more.
“What?” You can’t help but giggle, his laughter —which was a rare entity— made you giddy with joy. “I’m serious!” You pout, turning away from him to feign anger, your ears stay perked up as his smooth, rich laughter fills your bedroom with warmth.
“Okay, fine I won’t tell you.” His laughter trails off as he moves from the headboard to lie directly across from you.
“Alright, tell me.” His abnormal body heat causes you to shuffle closer until you rest your head on his chest.
When your story is done, he can’t help but stare at the ceiling in cerebrate silence.
At the age of fifteen, a program introduced by the hero association had recruited kids with abilities related to the medical field. Yours being an x-ray like quirk that allowed you to detect diseases, broken bones, and infections. Ones even normal x-ray’s couldn’t see. Forced to drop out of high school to take nursing classes and discard your latest stage of childhood life, you’d already become a registered nurse before the ripe age of nineteen. You worked in a special division, one where you only dealt with pro-heroes. You tell Touya about your worst encounter, one where you diagnosed a collection of broken ribs and the incapability to do hero work for several weeks and got shoved so hard that your ankle had twisted. Fortunately, the program had been discarded when you were twenty. With your inability to do other things that weren’t related to nursing you decided to stay one.
“Where were your parents?” It takes you a second to answer, chest deflating in the worst kind of way as you remember your father and mother’s shame-ridden faces staring back at your own —your's ridden with disbelief.
“They got money, so it didn’t really matter what happened to me.” You whisper, using the soft pad of your index finger to trace his scarred skin.
“Wanted to be a writer, Touya.” You try your best to hold in your cries but to no avail. “Wanted to write a best-seller,” You laugh, but it’s overshadowed by the watery sob that follows.
And with that, he finally understands. You’re two personas, a writer and a nurse. His chest tides up with pride once he realizes that he’s probably the first person to see and understand what they both mean to you.
“You can still be one,” he says. But it’s a promise of his own in disguise. I’ll change the world for you, make it so you can do anything you want to. It echoes from his every syllable and trails off with a familiar lilt.
And you see it too —hope-filled eyes flit to glittering ones. His, a bright pair of blue gems that shine with raw, unfiltered passion- yet to be completely polished. Against your will, every tendril of your being untwines and wraps itself around his words- you believe him. Unconsciously, your lips blow into a wide smile. “I’ll hold you to it, Touya.”
The stagnant air diffuses once you ask him a question, “when’s your birthday?”
Internally, you kick yourself in the shin as Touya shoots you a whimsical look. You’re not sure why this is the first personal question you decide to ask him.
But to you, Touya’s painted in grey, moral wise. You’ve only known him for less than a month, his background revealed the same night you met him. When you were with Touya, he didn’t seem like a villain. Villains were supposed to be vile, viscous people that didn’t dissolve properly into the troughs of today’s society.
His touch was gentle, handling you with nothing other than care. But you’re sure he’s used those same nimble fingers to inflict pain on whomsoever he chose. To you, Touya’s a jigsaw. You’re prepared —at least you think you are— to solve it. Prepared to start with the small pieces. And when those gradually come together, you’d use them as a guide. Treading carefully to work from known to unknown.
However, Touya prays to the gods that you don’t use your quirk to see the way his heart pumps wildly and the way his breath hitches. It took him over a decade to muddle his brain with different memories to overshadow his past ones not wanting for the abstained shadows of remembrance to embrace him.
“December 15th.” Your eyes widen when you realize the day was when you both had met. “I was your birthday gift then, huh.” You giggle, pressing closer to his body to feel the erratic thump of his heart.
“Guess so.” A good lie is always better than the truth.
That’s what he tells himself when Tomura asks where he’s been for the past couple of months. Vehement, crimson eyes digging into Dabi’s skull. He scoffs in annoyance, opting to tell the blue-haired man that he’d been out of town to scout for new members. Rummaging through underground areas where the average of villains was the thickest.
And yes, they’re all lies. He’s happy that Tomura is as dumb as he looks. Though it may be because Dabi has mastered the art of weaving intricate webs of lies- he’s grateful, nonetheless.
When Dabi turns away from him, Tomura’s eyes narrow.
Shigaraki Tomura isn’t as dumb as he looks. But Dabi didn’t know that -at least, not yet.
Here in the LOV hideout, where Dabi’s just a ruthless flame kindler, he finds no self-content, only impatience. Sometimes, taking part in Toga’s antics as a source of entertainment, her bloodlust too damn thick to ignore.
Impatience, a contagious drug that filters through Dabi’s veins and causes his blood to sear whenever he thinks about the overturn he wants hero society to so badly face. It’s the only way this ache of his can be soothed.
At first, it was just for him to bask in -for him to enjoy. For him to see a part of his past, burn. To see a rage of flames that -in time, turned to a cinder, his memories with it.
But now, he wants you to see it too. He wants to keep you tucked by his side as everything unfolds. Knowing this, he waits. Dabi’s not naive, this dream of his isn’t a one-man act.
Though, the biggest step closer to glory comes earlier than expected…
He’s a hero, the number two pro hero in all of Japan. His speed and the aid of his wings being his strongest suit. The information he provides is what still causes the Leauge to thrive. And the reason that Shigaraki now knows of the Meta Liberation Army. A powerful villain organization that rivaled Tomura’s very own. Led by a man named Destro, a name that every villain’s supposed to know. Kuriogi tells him this in his usual monotone voice, he’s the founder and now his son currently leads the army. The thing is, Dabi does know but for other reasons. His father was a hero after all.
Shigaraki orders Dabi to keep watch over Hawks. Sure, Dabi has his suspicions too, but he couldn’t differentiate if it’s the hostility he feels after he learns Hawks’ friendly relationship with Endeavor or for the fact that several missions had been deemed as errors because of the red-winged man’s mistakes.
Though, his stress dissipates when he comes home to you. It didn’t take a lot of time for Touya to get accustomed to your apartment. He’s used to living in shitty places, the League had been -and still is- living in one for months.
Fortunately, your landlord never comes around. You think it’s because of Touya’s intimidating presence but it stretches farther than that. Farther into the territory of what makes Touya into the fearful villain he is. But, you didn’t have to know that. Touya deliberates. You were stressed enough as it is.
Sometimes you’re not even home, late shift reminders overtaking your flimsy calendar. On those days, when you return, you’re so tired that Touya has to undress and bathe you himself. It’s never a toll, he enjoys listening to your barely decipherable recaps of your day, ones that sometimes turn into angry speeches of frustration that he’s sure to soothe with soft kisses to your pursed lips.
“Touya,” you whisper. Head in the crook of his neck while he lathers your body with body wash. Your head’s cloudy, exhaustion taking its home in your body.
“Mhmm.”
“Love you, like.. a lot.” The words bleed together with little to no pauses. It’s so slurred that Touya has to mull over it.
When he finally separates them in his head, he pauses. Eyes going wide as the grip on the pink loofah loosens.
Those words had never been emitted between you two. They were the three forbidden syllables that hung still, frozen in mid-air. It should’ve been easy to say. So easy to confess if push ever came to shove and the tides of adoration ever became too much to bear.
Despite that - in Touya’s head, his sole belief was that he was a package of damaged goods. What solace could you find if he ever told you that he loved you? Would it bring you happiness- fear?
Months had passed between the two of you, the light of winter and spring passing with intertwined hands. But what if- what if- you didn’t love Touya as much as he thought? What if you stayed by his side because you took pity on him? Took pity on a man who had no efficiency, no worth, no value, and used it to your heart’s content to mend yourself together.
Unbeknownst to him, those thoughts had run aimlessly across your mind as well. Both of you were damaged goods. Both of you unfamiliar with the thrum of the common melody.
When you feel his movements halt, a part of you feels victorious.
Oh, how lucky you were for being high on delirium. This was a chance pulled out of luck’s pocket.
“Don’t gotta say it, I see it.” He lowers his gaze to see you staring intensely at his chest. Which no doubt encases an organ that beats wildly because of your words. For the first time in a long time, he grows embarrassed. A streak of red blossoms from under his scarred cheeks as he chooses to hide his head in your neck, inhaling the strong citrusy scent of your body wash.
Hesitantly, you brush your fingers across the expanse of his back. Careful to avoid rough skin. Hoping that with your touch, you can convey a message of understanding.
I love you Touya and I know you love me.
››››››››››››››››››››› ~★~ ›››››››››››››››››››››
On a week that you’re finally off from work, you choose to spend it with Touya. He‘s barely out anyways. When you ask him why he’s never out doing villainy things. He answers with, “to spend time with you, princess.” A chortle at the end of his sentence when he sees you duck your head in embarrassment.
“Wanna go dress shopping with me tomorrow?” You ask, taking a handful of potato chips in your palm, focus still on your tv show -which Touya believes is the most boring thing he’s ever come across.
He turns to glance at you, eyebrows knitted as he contemplates.
He knows he shouldn’t, situations where his identity might be discovered, wouldn’t be good for the both of you.
And if Tomura were to find out…. the possibilities were too endless and Touya would keel over before he put your life in jeopardy.
But he still says yes- he’s never actually seen you wear a dress, he tells you. A subtle smile adorning his lips when he sees yours. He doesn’t ask why you want to buy a dress all of a sudden but he doesn’t mind.
The next day, you dress him up in a big burly coat that you had found at a thrift store years ago. Touya scrunches up his nose in disdain as you pull it up to cover his purple-hued scars, the fabric smelling oddly like sulfur. If it weren’t for the way you seemed so focused on hiding his identity he would’ve discarded the clothing a long time ago. He thinks the last straw is when you plop a pair of dark sunglasses on his nose.
“Don’t look at me like that!” you fuss. “I tried my best.”
“Was your best option really a combination of coat and sunglasses?” He exasperates, voice coming out muffled.
“What... I can’t hear you?” You cup the back of your ear, feigning curiosity.
He rolls his eyes at your comment. “Whatever, let’s go.”
You grab your silver coat from your rack and walk outside, both of you making it to your beat-down Honda. As Touya shuffles in the passenger seat you can’t help but giggle at his uncomfortable posture, they turn louder when he turns to glare at you but fails miserably, his intimidating face shrouded by the coat and glasses.
When you enter the boutique a small ding of a bell hits your ear. You smile in victory once you realize the vacancy. A short lady with gray hair waddles towards you and Touya. “Well, hello there!” She exclaims her soft voice matching with the appearance of her shop. Sweet and adorable. “What are you two looking for today.” She walks closer to you two, her motherly aura shrouding you in contentment.
“Well… I’m not entirely too sure,” you say, clasping your hands behind your back. “But something blue and flowy.” You hum.
“Blue and flowy, you say?” She turns. “Follow me.”
You turn to glance at Touya, whose attention is already on you. You grab his hand and follow behind. She leads you to a wide room, the smell of laundry detergent filtering through the air. Your eyes widen once you see the rows of dresses adorned in plastic.
“These are all my babies.” She waves and turns to you with an expectant look, eyes crinkling as she gives you a warm smile.
“They’re real pretty, aren't they?” You nod. “Well, the dressing rooms are back there.” She points to the far right. “If you need anything just come to me, I’ll be at the front desk.”
You walk towards the small corridor of dressing rooms and pick the first one you see. Pushing Touya into the stall, you place your hands on your hip after clicking the door shut. He takes his sunglasses off and shoots you a quizzical look.
“Show me your flames,” you breathe out, palms growing clammy as nervousness starts to set in.
You wring your hands as you watch his adam's apple bob, his stare turning hard. “No.”
You cross your arms and plead. “Please Touya, I wanna find a dress that matches your flames. They’re probably really pretty… don’t know why you won’t show me.” Your voice trails off.
He had an idea that this would happen sooner or later. There were times where you did see his flames but those were accidents. He always made sure to quickly extinguish them when he caught your peering eyes.
His chest floods with guilt once he sees your disappointed expression. He didn’t think his flames were pretty. He’d melted too many flays of flesh to count. The last thing he wanted to do was show you the bright-tinged spirit responsible for his grave sins.
But one dilemma Touya has is that he can’t ever seem to jump over the weak spot he has for you. So, he gives a meek - fine.
He watches your features light up with glee, only hoping that you wouldn’t regret asking him for this. “Can I take the coat off, first?” You hum, scrambling to do it for him. Revealing his plain white tee and his dark black jeans.
“Step back for me,” he whispers, gnawing at the bottom of his scarred lip. He opens the palm of his hand- to first, show a tiny blue flame that sways languidly. Progressively, he increases the flame until it engulfs his hand and upper wrist. When he looks up from his palm to your face, he’s surprised to see that your eyes aren't menacingly calculating or searching for release from fear. Instead, you look on in astonishment.
He sees the reflection of his flames in your eyes and from that circled mirror, a tiny nibble of his conscience starts to ebb with pride of his quirk.
After gushing about how pretty his flames look, you commit the color to memory. Dashing out of the stall to search for a dress, humming a tune when you envision his reaction to seeing you in such a nice, quaint dress on such a special day.
He perks up once you unlock the door, expecting you to change and show him what you’ve found. But instead, he’s met with your smiling face and what seems to be a dress -shrouded in a velvet coverup. “Don’t look so disappointed.” You wag your finger in front of his face. “You’ll see it soon.”
When December rolls by with chilly air as company, you start to see Touya less and less. He never does tell you what exactly it is he does while out doing villain work. Though, he did tell you that his absences would occur more and more since he and his league were working hard to take down a villain organization.
Your eyebrows had furrowed at that. “I thought villains were supposed to band together,” you asked, head resting on his thigh as you stared up at his face. “Not ones with different philosophies,” he had said, hand suspiciously inching closer and closer to your chest. You hummed, still confused.
It might sound naive, but you couldn’t find it in you to care. Hero society didn’t interest you. You couldn’t say villains did either but Touya was one. One of the bigshots.
Once, when you’d seen him on the little tv in the corner of your break room, it took a lot in you to not crack a smile. Though the idea of bringing chaos into the world with wide arms made your nerves rack with trepidation, you had Touya, and that seemed like enough.
Fortunately, Touya not being home was a benefit to your plan. You’d already scheduled your days off for work and booked the reservations for the fancy restaurant that was at least an hour’s drive from your apartment building. It was hard work, but for Touya’s birthday, it was all worth it.
››››››››››››››››››››› ~★~ ›››››››››››››››››››››
Shigaraki Tomura does not like to be lied to.
If he had written commandments for the people he came across, that would be his first line, golden engraved. It’s an unexplainable feeling he gets. If he could, he’d describe it as an itchy, hot coil that warps across his skin. It’s not painful, it’s simply annoying. And he feels it nearly every day. The scars that mar his neck being a result of it.
Why does the world have to be riddled with so many liars?
Dabi’s a liar, he knows that much. Hawks, that red-winged hero may be one too, but he’d deal with that when things finally came into play.
Now, he focuses on the man Dabi truly is. Villains lie. Shigaraki knows this, he’s a villain too. But- he tells the truth when it comes to his goals.
He tells the truth with what he wants.
What he wants LOV to bring.
What he wants society to flood with.
So why couldn’t Touya Todoroki do the same?
Shigaraki Tomura’s smart and Dabi is a fool to not see this. Who came up with the plans? The missions? The very concept of LOV? Sure, AFO had shaped him into who he was today but he was the same man locked in Tartarus, not Tomura.
When Tomura finds the roots of Dabi’s lies through Kurogiri’s peering eyes. It takes an hour of pleading for the ghastly man to convince Tomura not to find Dabi and disintegrate him into a fine pile of dust.
“Why should I!” Tomura shouts, his ruby eyes glaring into Kurogiri’s yellow ones. “He lied to me.” Shigaraki spits out the word so hastily and it’s as if saying the word itself was a sin of its own. Kurogiri nods, silently transmitting his words of understanding, not wanting to raise his temper even higher.
“But Dabi’s an important member of the League, Tomura.” Kurogiri coaxes. “In a week or so, we’ll be off to fight with M.L.A. If anything give him a warning, a threat. Just don’t kill the boy.” Shigaraki takes a second to glare at Kurogiri but eventually, his shoulders sag with defeat.
Even though Dabi had committed the gravest sin, he’d show mercy.
Begrudgingly, he grabs the cup of orange juice from Kurogiri’s hand, his thoughts flying at a fast pace, anger refusing to subside. All until his thinking cogs get stuck on one idea, one thought.
The thought crawls out from his mind and paints his expression with one of sickening glee. His smile so wide, that rivulets of blood dribble down from his cracked lips. His tongue darts out to lap up the tangy liquid as he gets high on this idea, on this revelation.
Shigaraki Tomura needs Dabi but Shigaraki Tomura does not need you.
Tomura knows everything about you, your background, your parents, the countless homes you had to reside in, where you live as of now- where you and Dabi live as of now. Where you work and what exactly you’re planning to do on the 15th day of December. It’s terrifyingly easy to uncover reservation logs.
You’re a pretty woman, Tomura could admit that. But you were a stain in his perfect, webbed canvas of the future. Those countless months where he had expected Dabi to be his righteous subordinate and listen to his demands were spent with you. Cooped up at your run-down apartment doing god knows what.
Tomura’s teeth grit as he digs into the flesh of his neck, specks of blood underneath his fingernails while he fervently scratches the already scabbed skin. Kurogiri glances over at him, seemingly reading his mind.
“I’m leaving.” Shigaraki swipes up from his dusty seat. Oh, how he missed the elegance of his LOV’s old hideout.
“Don’t forget AFO’s orders concerning Gigantomachia.”
Tomura blinks once, twice. “That thing has way too much HP.” He breathes out.
“For now, I need to do something else.” He whispers, bringing his embalmed hand to rest on his face.
››››››››››››››››››››› ~★~ ›››››››››››››››››››››
Whenever Touya thought of coincidences he thought of the word luck. It was a coincidence that Touya had been at the same bar as you, a coincidence that because of your lack of care for hero society that you’d glossed over the fact that he was a villain. But as Touya stood in your empty apartment, bloody and bruised from his prior fight, his connotation of coincidences slowly turned sour. A bitter taste sat on his tastebuds as he read over your note.
Happy Birthday Touya, my love.
meet me at the Burqoues Restaurant!
Take an uber…. I don’t have any money for one
(using it on the restaurant money)
so I’ll just take my car.
p.s. you’ll get to see my dress.
It was a coincidence that the day he told you was his birthday was the very day the League of Villians had merged with the Meta Liberation Army. Touya didn’t know what this grappling hook of fear was, but as he saw that your Honda was still idly parked in that weird angle you always had a habit of doing -it came to take its hold around his neck.
Maybe you’d actually found a couple of bucks and took an uber instead. Right?
You were probably in the restaurant, ordering that expensive champagne you really wanted to try. Ready to show that pretty, wide smile you always gave Touya when you saw him.
Right?
Touya couldn’t think- couldn’t breathe as he sped down the street. His grip on the wheel was so tight that his staples were close to popping. The loud ringing in his ears drowned out the persistent honking of cars that he nearly collided with.
What should’ve taken an hour took a measly twenty minutes. Without a second thought, Touya was already out of the car.
Upon entering, he received perturbed glances. He didn’t blame them, his clothes were bloodied, several staples unhinged from the skin.
“S-sir?” a tiny voice squeaked. He glanced at the receptionist desk, the bright chandeliers illuminating her meek stare that looked borderline terrified. He probably looked like a villain.
“D-do you have a reservation.”
“Yes.” He answered gruffly, head craning to see if he could catch sight of you.
“Your name please.”
“Touya.” He gritted, eyes focusing back on the receptionist who didn’t seem to believe him. She ducked her head to check, eyes scanning frantically.
“Oh, yes!” She smiled, it was too wide to be real but, frankly, Touya didn’t care. All he needed to know was that you were here.
“Table 15.” She pointed. “You won’t miss it.”
Touya didn’t bother to reply, legs already scrambling towards what he hoped would be you. Ignoring the stares that followed behind him.
Table 12
Table 13
Table 14
Table 15-
Touya's heart nearly stops, vision tinging with black as his knees nearly crumble beneath him.
You weren’t there.
››››››››››››››››››››› ~★~ ›››››››››››››››››››››
When Touya returned to the now, Paranormal Liberation Army hideout, Shigaraki had given him a smile so sweet that it had caused Touya's blood to run cold.
However, Touya did not pry, choosing to ignore the guilty glances the rest of the league sent his way. And he hated himself for it, hated the coward he'd grown to be in such a short period of time.
Later on that night, he returned to your desolate apartment, choosing to take a cigarette from your half- empty pack.
Yes, Touya despised cigarettes but at that moment they'd never tasted so sweet. His lungs didn't itch, he didn't feel abyssal. He just felt— soothed. As he took several drags, Touya silently pleaded for the nicotine to somehow make every fiber of his being believe that you had decided to finally leave.
That you had finally realized that a villain like him was no good and would only put your life at risk.
However, his façade had cracked when he'd found multiple files on your desolate laptop, drafts of your story in the making. The first page dedicated to your love for giving you the motivation to publish your first ever book.
And at that moment, for the first time in his godforsaken life, Touya wished he could cry. To show you, somehow that he was grateful for everything you had given him. That he was thankful and sorry for letting his mirror that reflected thousands of moments with you -your arms cradling him, him cradling you- shatter into fractured pieces.
As Touya Todoroki sat on a velvet sofa, arms wide and camera ready, a piece of his brain fabricated the image of you next to him --adorned in a sapphire blue dress, showing him that pretty, pretty smile that he’d grown to love, he told you —and told the world the story he never had the chance to.
To simply, atone.

Hey! If it's okay with you, could you make something about All Might with a gf who's a little on the chubbier side, and she feels a little bad about it so he tries to make her feel better? Thank you and I hope you have a nice day/ night! ✨🐹
Hey I hope you like this! I kind of went hard because I relate lol but anyway and since it wasn’t specified as hero form all might I went with true form all might.
If anyone is having hard days with body image or otherwise and has no one to talk to, my messages are always open! I will understand and hear you and give you space to feel everything you feel without being judged or mocked! I love you!
❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎
God you hated days like these. Days where you wake up and you’re aware of every little crease and crevice of your skin, where you can’t help but avoid looking at yourself in the mirror. Getting ready for work meant making sure you only looked at your face, putting on clothing you already know looks good and just trusting that it still did, and avoiding the full length mirror in your bedroom and the one in the hallway. You didn’t feel like this always, you just had random bad days, so you didn’t feel like talking about it every time it happened. Most of the people close to you don’t even know you feel like this.
Your quirk was healing related and you worked as a personal on call doctor for heroes and the public, that’s how you met All Might. He came into your office one day for a second opinion on his health issues, which at the time you didn’t know was him, he presented you with facts about the patient and you gave him the same answer as the rest of the experts he asked. He was considering making you his regular doctor, but ultimately he didn’t change his doctor and instead asked you to dinner. Which in a way he did make you his personal doctor when you fell in love with each other…
You got a call from UA and groaned after you hung up, you were already having a tough day when you were called to heal several beautiful and fit heroes already, now you’re going to the school where one of the sexiest heroes the world knew worked. Your self esteem was low as ever, the only thing that makes you move forwards is the chance to see the one man who always cheered you up.
When you get to the school the one person you were hoping to avoid was the one to greet you “hey Midnight, where am I needed” you say through a forced smile. She was an amazing person and you always loved to talk to her whenever you had the chance, but today it was hard to not notice how perfect her body was and how it was shown off with her hero outfit. “Thank you for coming so quickly, Recovery Girl is out for the day so you’re a lifesaver. A couple students got into a fight, it’s not bad enough for a hospital but does require a doctor” you nod and swallow hard as you notice her thighs and flat belly, two parts of you that have extra fat and the ones that you’re struggling with today. You push the thoughts from your mind, suddenly more aware of the tightness of your skirt on your butt and belly.
You head to the restroom after doing your job and look at yourself in the mirror sideways, raising your arm up as you pick yourself apart. “Damn” you whisper before washing your hands and sighing as you open the door.
“Knock knock” you say as you stop in the doorway of his classroom “hey sweetheart!” He says and pushes back from his desk and comes over to you, pulling you into his arms. You should be focused on how good he smells with your face on his neck but you can’t fake it with him. You instead place your forehead on his chest and frown.
He feels that something’s wrong, you’re quiet and not your usual bright self. His hands move up and down your back softly and he kicks his door closed behind you. “Baby what’s wrong?” He asks and you feel your eyes burn as you screw them shut. “Just having a hard day” you voice showing how hard you were forcing yourself not to cry. “Will you tell me about it?” He feels your tears through the front of his shirt, his stomach sinking and his heart breaking. He hates seeing you sad.
“You’ll think that I’m dumb” you whisper, your voice shaking. “Impossible” he says softly and runs his fingers through your hair. You took a deep shaky breath and tilted your head so your mouth wasn’t pressed against him, so he would hear you as you spoke, so you wouldn’t have to say it twice because you’ll know it’ll hurt when you say it.
“I just feel like I take up too much space. I’ve healed many wonderful beautiful heroes today and I can’t stop thinking about how I don’t even compare to them because of how different my body is. I have extra fat and skin on my body, more than others and I feel lesser for that. I feel so ugly and it hurts. I feel like I should apologize for not being better. for not being more fit. For choosing to enjoy food instead of being skinny. And usually I can see that I’m pretty and that’s what hurts the most, thinking and convincing myself that I’ve just been stupid by believing I am enough with this gross body.” your hands pull at your stomach as you talk, you next words barely audible to him “and I’m afraid that you’ll want to leave me for someone with a better body, one with a flat stomach and skinny thighs and butt, that you’ll one day realize that I’m not sexy and fall out of love with me”
He held his breath as you spoke, his hands stopping their movement on your back, his heart breaking for you, it kills him to hear you so completely defeated. He lets out the breath he was holding and pulls you tighter against his chest “y/n, my angel, I’m so sorry you feel like this. Thank you for trusting me and telling me how you’re feeling.” He leans back and takes your cheeks in his hands, wiping your tears from your cheeks and kissing your forehead before looking back into your eyes. “I love your body because you’re in it and I love you.” You feel your heart flutter at his words, your hands coming up to hold his wrists as he holds your cheeks, looking deep into your eyes as he continues “I understand where you’re coming from my love, but fat isn’t a bad thing and your body isn’t all that you are. I know how easy it is to define ourselves based on physical appearance and prioritize that over our other qualities of who we are but as I said, your body isn’t all you are. Body shapes mean nothing in the long run. What does mean the most in the long run is the way you trust me, the way we communicate, the way you wave at every dog you see, the way you tie your hair up on lazy sundays when we cook breakfast together, that little dance you do when we get ice cream, the way you truly care about everyone you meet, and your cheesecake recipe because that has truly changed my life” you chuckle softly and he smiles at you, his thumbs brushing against your cheeks “ and for the record, I love your belly. I think it’s cute and I love to lay my head on it. And your ass and thighs'' he moans “sometimes I can’t stop staring at them because of how much i love them. You are so incredibly sexy, intelligent, and sweet. God baby I could make a list 500 miles long about everything I love about you. Trust me when I say you are exactly what I need and want and love, body and all, Forever”
Tears are falling from your eyes again, sweet happy tears this time, your heart overflowing with love for this man, and feeling so much better, not completely okay but you definitely wouldn’t have many more issues today. “Yagi” you whisper “I love you so much” he kisses your lips softly “to me, you are perfect. I can’t imagine a life without you by my side” you nod gently in his grasp “thank you. I’m so lucky to have you” he shakes his head “I think you have that opposite. I’m definitely the lucky one in this relationship. You always are there for me and you have my back through all my hard days. I will always have your back on your bad days. That’s what partners do. That’s what you do when you truly love someone.” You wrap your arms around his back and he lets go of your cheeks as you bury your face in his neck and hold him tight “how about I cook dinner tonight and we can cuddle and watch a movie” he says as you kiss his neck, “sounds like heaven to me” you whisper and he chuckles “everyday is heaven for me because my partner is an angel” you blush and chuckle “an angel is a fitting partner for the symbol of peace” he chuckles and you pull back to smile up at him “are you feeling better my love?” He asks and you nod “thank you Yagi, you have no idea how much you truly mean to me. I love you so much” he kisses your forehead again as his class door opens and students start to come in. “Call me after your class?” You ask and he nods leaning in to whisper in your ear “I love you y/n. I’ll always be here for you”
You didn’t feel 100%, but you did feel significantly better about yourself. It’s easy to get in your head and think yourself in circles until you feel like you’re gonna die. You felt grateful to have someone you felt safe to talk about things with, even if you convince yourself that you’re just being stupid, it’s a blessing to have someone you can talk to without be afraid that they will judge you or laugh. You felt lighter for sure as you finished out your work day and when you walked inside your apartment you looked at yourself in the mirror at the end of the hall and smiled, truly smiled, as you saw everything that Toshinori loved instead of everything the world doesn’t.

Part 23 of Jimercury Kid series
‘Freddie?’ Phoebe quietly called out as he poked a cautious head around the singer’s bedroom door. ‘Mary’s here to see you.’
There was no response from the frontman. His face remained buried in his pillow, his weeping silent but obvious by the gentle trembling of his shoulders. Jim was by his side, one hand gently rubbing up and down the Persian’s bare back as he silently comforted him.
‘My baby…’ Freddie whispered, the only words he had been able to say since Khaleel was literally ripped from his arms.
‘Shh, love.’ Jim murmured, stroking his husband’s hair, and shooting Phoebe a hopeless look. ‘I think she should come back later.’
‘That’s what I said.’ Replied Phoebe, shoulders sagging in defeat. ‘But she’s unusually insistent today.’
Another sob from Freddie. The hand that was desperately clutching Khaleel’s old, battered triceratops toy tightened severely.
‘I’ll go.’ Jim said finally, leaning down and gently kissing the back of Freddie’s neck. Before he could rise from the mattress, he felt Freddie grab his hand and turned to see two dark eyes staring at him fearfully, still red-rimmed from all his crying. Losing Khaleel served only to intensify Freddie’s already severe abandonment issues; Jim couldn’t so much as use the toilet without the singer panicking, convinced he’d never see him again.
‘I’m coming back, sweetheart.’ Jim leaned down, brushing a kiss against Freddie’s lips. ‘I promise. I’m not leaving you, not ever. Phoebe will stay here with you until I get back, okay?’
Freddie didn’t look like he believed him, but he released his hand regardless and threw his head back onto the pillow to continue mourning his child. Fighting back his own tears, Jim sent a thankful nod to Phoebe before leaving the bedroom and descending the staircase.
He found Mary in the lounge, sitting anxiously in one of the armchairs with her coat still on and her purse clasped in her hands. When Jim walked into the room, the disappointment on her face was evident; she had clearly been seeking to speak with Freddie and Freddie alone.
‘He’s in no state to talk.’ Jim said gently but firmly, before the woman could say anything. ‘I’m sorry, but you should really come back some other time.’
He expected her to argue with him – Mary wasn’t one for being confrontational but when it came to Freddie she made an exception – but she remained calm, her mouth pressed in a thin line as she fiddled with the purse on her lap.
‘If I can’t speak to Freddie, can I please speak to you? I just need to speak to someone.’
Jim knew he should have rebuffed her, told her to leave immediately so he could get back to consoling his distraught husband. But the expression on her face was so downcast, he didn’t have the heart to turn her away. He nodded tiredly, last night’s lack of sleep finally catching up with him as he mumbled something about putting the kettle on and shuffled towards the kitchen to start preparing them both tea.
As he waited for the kettle to boil, he took a moment to lean against the counter, staring determinedly up at the ceiling, blinking away tears of grief and exhaustion. He wasn’t sure how much longer he could cope with all of this. Khaleel’s absence had left a massive hole in the lives of everyone at Garden Lodge and the aftereffects were damning. He barely recognised Freddie anymore. For seven days, his husband had barely said a word to him, barely eaten or left his bedroom. For seven days, their lives had been a living hell.
The woman from social services hadn’t beaten around the bush. She made it clear that there was no guarantee that Khaleel would be returned to them. The worst part was the satisfied glint in her eye as she said it.
‘Everyone thinks I did it.’ A soft voice said from behind him, and Jim turned to see Mary standing in the doorway, her purse still clutched in her hands. Her face was pale, completely devoid of any colour and her entire body was shaking as she attempted to compose herself.
‘What do you mean?’ Jim asked, though he already knew.
‘They all think I called them.’ Mary’s voice wavered, her eyes looking everywhere but Jim’s own. For one horrible moment, the Irishman thought she might actually be sick. ‘I didn’t, Jim, I swear on my life. You have to believe me, I didn’t call-’
‘Mary, sit down.’ Jim took her hand and guided her over to the kitchen table, drawing out a chair and taking her purse from her hands. Once he was certain that she wasn’t going to collapse, he returned to the counter to finish making the tea and placed a steaming mug in front of the woman’s quivering form. ‘Just take it easy. No one’s accusing you of anything.’
Mary’s twitching hands curled around the hot cup, and she took a deep breath, a pink flush crossing her cheeks from the heat, making her look a bit less ghostly. Once she had appeared to calm down, she carefully took a sip of her drink.
‘I know you all think it was me.’ She finally met Jim’s gaze, silently begging for reassurance. ‘I can see it in your eyes, even Freddie’s. Surely he knows I’d never do that to him?’ She reached over and clasped Jim’s hand in her own, her grip almost painful. ‘I’d never do that to you. Please tell me you believe me.’
Jim wasn’t sure what to believe anymore. He would be lying if he said it hadn’t crossed his mind that Mary might have been involved. Out of all their friends, she was the one with the motive. Maybe this was a last-ditch attempt to drive he and Freddie apart, some sort of twisted revenge for Freddie leaving her.
But he quickly dismissed the idea; as far as he was concerned, that was all in the past and they had moved on from it. He and Mary had had their differences, but she’d never do this.
She was his friend now. He trusted her.
‘I believe you, Mary.’ He replied softly, gently squeezing her hand back until she relaxed. ‘I know you wouldn’t do this, and Freddie does too. Everyone’s just so fucking stressed at the moment and they’re looking for someone to blame.’ He used his free hand to lift his own mug and take a long swig. ‘If it’s anyone’s fault, it’s mine.’
‘Don’t say that, Jim.’
‘I shouldn’t have let things get out of hand. We were arguing over wine, for fuck’s sake. I should have just walked away.’
‘We’d all had a lot to drink, Jim. It was a stupid mistake made in the heat of the moment. Besides, it wasn’t as if Khaleel was there to see it. He was in bed, asleep.’
Jim shook his head, eyes threatening to spill tears. He felt he was solely to blame. He usually prided himself in his ability to walk away from such quarrels but that night, fuelled by both alcohol and his own stubbornness, he was fed up with being walked all over and fought back.
His refusal to back down could very well have cost them their darling boy.
‘Jim?’
Mary’s voice tore him away from his thoughts. She suddenly took both his hands, her touch feather light as she held onto them, thumbs extending out in a comforting stroke across each of his knuckles. ‘I’ve never seen Freddie as happy as he has been since he met you. He can finally be himself, live his true life. I admit, I was sceptical at the start; I’ve seen him hurt so many times and I was convinced you were no different from the others. But after seeing what you both went through, how you stuck by him through his illness, I realised how wrong I was. You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to him, as well as Khaleel. That little boy is so lucky to have you two as parents, and if social services can’t see that then, as Freddie would say, fuck them.’
Jim snorted, though he looked like he was about to burst into tears. He held onto Mary’s hands as if they were a lifeline.
‘You’ll get him back.’ She said it so tenderly, Jim almost believed her. ‘I know you will. Khaleel will come home.’
Jim envied the faith she had in her own words. He had already resigned himself to the fact that society would never be on their side; that he and Freddie would forever be looked upon as “perverted homosexuals,” incapable of raising a child. Social services would do whatever they could to make sure Khaleel stayed with a “normal” family, regardless of the boy’s own happiness. As much as it killed him to think about it, he knew the reality was that it was more than likely that they would never see their precious bijou again.
‘Thank you, Mary.’ Jim whispered, lifting her hand and softly kissing it.
Yeah okay so Mary is apparently not a *bad* person in this universe, or at least not anymore. Looks like we were wrong, anon. Lol.
Firstly, Freddie and Jim crying in bed for their baby broke my heart😭😭 They deserve to have their baby with them, cuddle with him and raise him together. Fuck the homophobia that's doing this to them.
Secondly, I wasn't expecting Mary here, and certainly not being so open. But I like how you have acknowledged her shitty behaviour in the past, and the fact that whilst things are civil between her and Jim (maybe slightly more than civil), the shadow of past incidences still linger on. I mean, I usually do not read canon-ish fics that completely erase what an arsehole Mary Austin is, especially if she features prominently. But I am loving the almost real approach you're taking to etch your characters, and as I've said before, showing how they may have grown in such a situation. I still have doubts about Ms Austin redeeming herself had Freddie lived, but in the context of this story, I really like the arc you've given her.
Also, I am LOVING the angst lmao. Even though it's breaking my heart, my angst loving self is really enjoying this hahaha.
And now, most importantly, I hope you're doing better, my dear. There were a lot of messages of support for you, and I just hope that you realise how loved and cherished you are in this community💙

Namjoon x Reader; Jimin x Reader
Genre: Angst, fluff, President!Namjoon, Head of Security!Jimin
Warnings: (Reluctant) open relationship, mentions of cheating
Author’s Note: People that are in my tag list have been saying that they have not been getting the notifications that I’ve tagged them whenever I post a new part. I know it may sound harsh, but there’s really nothing that I can do about it. I’m not sure why Tumblr doesn’t allow some people to be tagged, but I have no idea on how to fix it. Anyways, I know this chapter is a little bare bones but that’s because the next two chapters are gonna be a ride loves lol I hope you guys enjoy it!
Everyone has those moments in their life where they have to admit that maybe, they’ve bitten off a little bit more than they can chew. Jimin has had many of these moments throughout his 25 years of life.
Being Chief of Naval Operations and being in charge of hundreds of men and being responsible for their lives on a daily basis provided Jimin with that feeling often. Hell, that feeling is part of what spurred him to take the job as Head of Security for you and Namjoon; in his way of thinking, it would be easier to be responsible for the lives of two people rather than hundreds. However, he never had to worry about falling in love and that potentially making it hard for him to do his job before, until he met you.
Jimin couldn’t tell if he was in love with you or not. He loved being around you, because you ended up being so much different than what he had thought you’d be. You were funny, and sweet, and one of the most beautiful women he had ever seen in his life (besides his mother and Hana). You also were the strongest person he knew, replacing even himself because he still hasn’t been able to wrap his mind around how you deal with the whole “arrangement” thing. Also, he had never fallen for someone as quickly as he had for you; not even his ex-fiancee, so it kind of scared him.
Despite how much Jimin liked you though, the obvious situation between you and Namjoon gave him pause, and rightfully so. While Jimin genuinely cared for you and found himself falling more for you everyday, he didn’t know if he’d be willing to wait another four and a half years until Namjoon’s term as President was up. If he did, that would mean four and a half years of sneaking around, not being able to show you off, and of having to tip toe around your husband. Jimin had always known that though; Hell, he knew it when he kissed you for the first time at the marketplace. It didn’t really hit him though, until Namjoon threatened him.
Threats didn’t bother Jimin. He was a fucking Naval Chief, for crying out loud. If it ever came to it, he knew he could kick Namjoon’s ass with no issues. The issue was that Jimin didn’t want to have to deal with that for four and a half more years. He didn’t want there to be this sense of competition between the two of them because in Jimin’s eyes, there was no competition. He was obviously the better choice, but how do you compete with someone’s husband, even if they are trash?
And these thoughts are what caused Jimin to kind of back off you a little bit. You guys were still talking and seeing each other almost every day, but there weren’t as many hugs, not as many kisses. Despite how much Jimin cared for you, he had already been hurt once and he was going to do his best not to let it happen again, his feelings be damned.
“Park,” Namjoon called out and Jimin shook his head as he broke out of his thoughts and looked over at the President. Today, Namjoon was dedicating a new park that was built in memory of a fallen soldier in the Army. The whole occasion was very visible in terms of press, and there were many notable figures in Korea that were present.
“Yes Sir?” Jimin replied.
“Make sure that you’re paying attention,” Namjoon told him firmly, and Jimin nodded in affirmation. “As soon as the speech is over, we’ll be saying hello to a few people and then leaving straight after.”
“Yes Sir,” Jimin repeated and Namjoon turned around, letting another one of the security guards lead him behind the stage. You then turned to Jimin once Namjoon was out of earshot, giving him a small, apologetic smile.
“Sorry about him,” you said. “He’s been an even bigger dick than usual lately. I think it’s the farmer's crisis.”
“Don’t worry, it’s fine,” Jimin shrugged, looking down at his watch and you frowned lightly at his dismissive tone.
“Hey, you ok?” You asked softly, moving closer to him and letting your hand brush against his. “You’ve been acting weird lately.”
“I’m fine,” he told you, looking up at you and setting his hand on your lower back. “The speech is about to start so we need to get you to your seat.” You let him lead you down the steps and down into the seating area where all the guests were, plastering a fake smile onto your face as you waved to several of Namjoon’s colleagues.
.................................................
If someone had asked you what Namjoon discussed in his dedication speech, you’d have no idea how to respond to them and that’s because your mind was preoccupied. Something was wrong, and you knew it. Jimin wasn’t necessarily acting different towards you, but he was indifferent and that rubbed you the wrong way.
Once the speech was over and all of the guests present began to mingle, you were talking to the wife of the National Assembly leader when Namjoon stepped over to you.
“Hey, I ran into some old friends so we’re all going to go to lunch and catch up,” Namjoon informed you. “Did you want to come?”
“Um, I think I’ll go back to the House actually,” you smiled. “The benefit is in three days and I need to make sure everything’s in place.”
“Of course,” Namjoon nodded, leaning over and kissing your cheek. “Jimin’s gonna see you home and I’ll see you tonight.”
“Ok, be safe,” you told him and he smiled and nodded before turning and walking away.
“The two of you are such a beautiful couple,” Jisoo, the National Assembly leader’s wife gushed and you just chuckled.
“Thank you Jisoo-ssi. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I’ll be heading out now,” you said. “I do hope that I’ll see you Saturday at the benefit.”
“Absolutely,” Jisoo nodded. “I’ll be bringing my husband and his wallet.”
“Perfect,” you laughed, leaning over and kissing her cheek before waving and walking away from her to find Jimin, who was standing near the stage that had been set up for Namjoon to give his speech.
“Ready to go?” Jimin guessed before you could even say anything and you nodded your head.
“Beyond,” you murmured, expecting Jimin to at least chuckle at that but he just spoke some words into his earpiece before gesturing for you to walk in front of him. You just did as he wanted, making your way through the large crowd of guests and saying your goodbyes before you and Jimin made it to the front of the park, where your large limousine was waiting.
“After you,” Jimin said as he opened the door and held it for you, waiting for you to slide inside before he did the same and shut the door behind him.
“Just back to the Blue House,” Jimin told your driver, who nodded and rolled up the partition for you.
“I’m exhausted,” you whined, reaching down and pulling your high heels off of your feet.
“You didn’t sleep last night, did you?” Jimin questioned and you shook your head.
“I did, but not much,” you admitted. “I’ve just been so anxious about the benefit, especially since it’s the first event that I’m spearheading as First Lady.”
“It’ll be fine Y/N-ah,” he assured you, reaching over and patting your knee lightly. “You’ve gone over every detail with painstaking accuracy.”
“I hope so,” you huffed with a smile but the smile promptly went away when Jimin dropped his hand away from your knee. “Jimin, are we ok?”
“Yeah, we’re good,” Jimin nodded but he didn’t look at you when he said it, and that kind of set you off.
“Jimin, don’t do this,” you snapped and Jimin looked up at you in surprise.
“Don’t do what?” He questioned.
“I’m already married to a man who doesn’t talk to me about things, I don’t want that with you too,” you muttered softly and Jimin’s eyes widened.
“No no no,” he tutted, moving closer to you and wrapping his arm around your shoulders and you leaned into him, reveling in his touch. “I didn’t mean to make you feel like that.”
“Then why haven't you been talking to me?” You demanded gently.
“I wanted to give you time to think,” he replied and your brows furrowed in confusion. “And give myself time to think too.”
“Think about what?”
“About us,” he said. “I know that you don’t want to be with Namjoon anymore but you also said that you aren’t sure how to get out of it, and I don’t know if I’d be willing to wait for four and a half more years.”
“Why didn’t you just tell me that?” You wondered.
“Because I didn’t want you thinking that I’m having second thoughts about what we’ve been developing,” he said, reaching over with his free hand and grabbing yours, intertwining your fingers with his. “My feelings for you are serious baby bird, and I just wanted to make sure that I was comfortable with it.”
“Because of my situation and your ex?” You asked/guessed and Jimin nodded.
“Developing feelings for a new person after you break up with someone that you thought you were gonna spend the rest of your life with is hard,” Jimin admitted. “I know that it’s taken a lot for you to be able to feel like you can trust me after everything that’s happened between you and Namjoon, but it’s taken a lot for me to be able to trust you too.”
“And I recognize that,” you nodded, taking your hand away from his and gently grabbing his chin. “I hope you realize that I don’t take your trust in me lightly.”
“I know you don’t,” Jimin smiled softly.
“And my feelings for you are just as serious,” you confessed, a shy smile on your lips. “You’ve made me fall for you, Park Jimin.”
“Yeah?” He whispered and as soon as he registered the nodding of your head, he smashed his lips onto yours. Moaning in surprise, you moved your hand from his chin and set it on his neck as you kissed him back.
“What are you doing tomorrow?” You asked against his lips and he pulled away from you.
“Nothing much, since I’m off duty,” he told you. “Why?”
“How about if I come to your place tomorrow night and show you just how serious about you I really am?” You suggested and Jimin’s breathing visibly became uneven. “I guess that’s a yes?”
“That’s a fuck yes,” he replied breathlessly, making you laugh. “As much as I’d love it that though, don’t you have another event with Namjoon tomorrow night?”
“I can make up an excuse,” you replied immediately. “Say that I’m sick or something. I could say anything really and Namjoon probably wouldn’t even question it.”
“If you’re sure,” he relented and you grinned, leaning over and kissing him again. And that’s how the two of you stayed for the rest of the ride back to the Blue House, pressed up against each other in the backseat with passionate kisses and wandering hands.
“Jimin, we’re here,” you giggled, the feeling of Jimin leaving kisses on your neck tickling your skin.
“You sure about tomorrow night?” He double checked as he pulled away from your neck to look at you, and you nodded.
“More than sure,” you promised, pressing a quick peck to his lips before you bent down and quickly slipped your heels back on. He then turned around and opened the door, getting out of the limousine and holding the door open for you as you slid out. Once he shut the door, the two of you walked up the steps of the Blue House together.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, yeah?” You said and Jimin smiled.
“Absolutely. I l-,” he almost told you but he caught himself, trying to ignore the suspicious look you gave him. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Bye Jimin,” you giggled, giving him a quick wink before you turned around and opened the front door, stepping inside and shutting the door behind you. Jimin let out a breath that he hadn’t even know he was holding, his shoulders sagging when the reality of what he had almost let slip out of his mouth began to set in.
“God, I’m loosing my fucking mind over her,” Jimin chuckled, running both of his hands over his face as he turned and walked back down the steps, his mind wrapping around the fact that he now had the answer to whether he loved you or not.

Godzilla and gojirin, fluff, 17
Put it in the bag nice and slowly chump
TW: Mpreg. Teen Parents. Gijinka. Blah blah blah.
“I’m here for you.”
Goji held the phone close to his ear as he resisted the urge to start crying again. When Gojirin had said she would be moving away, the young couple had decided to lose their virginity to each other and keep in contact by any means necessary.
So when Goji found out he was pregnant, he made sure to call the girl who helped make it happen.
“I’m sorry,” Goji said. “I-”
“Don’t apologize,” Gojirin said. “It’s alright. Like I said I’ll be here. It’s just-”
“We’ll have to tell our parents.”
Both young teens held their phones in silence. The mere fact that they would have to confess to their parents that they had committed such an act was hard to stomach (literally). Not to mention the fact that Gojira was only just starting to loosen up and trust Goji more only for him to go and pull this stunt.
“I….I don’t know if I can,” Goji whimpers. He slides against the wall and curls in on himself. He can’t imagine looking his father in the eyes and telling him such massive news. They were barely making ends meet with the two of them, but now they’d have to worry about another mouth. Or even worse, his father would make him give the child up for adoption. “Gojirin I can’t-”
“I’ll tell my parents first,” She sighs as she looks at the picture of Goji and her from the photo booth at the arcade. The same arcade they snuck behind that day to do what led to this moment. She loved Goji and she knew he loved her. She had convinced her parents to let them stay in contact because they had faith that it wouldn’t lead to anything more than just a simple childhood romance. And look at them now. “And then they’ll probably call your dad and we’ll...figure something out.”
There’s a pause.
“I love you,” Goji finally says. “Again, I’m sorry-”
“Goji, this is a two-person act. We both had a part to play. 50/50,” She laughs lightly. “Maybe our parents should’ve let us take those sex-ed lessons after all.”
They both laugh.
_____________________________________________________________
“Can you feel him moving?” Goji asked as Gojirin placed her hand on his stomach. They were sitting on the floor in Gojirin’s mother’s living room. She was in the kitchen making some soup for Goji to eat while he stayed for the night.
Of course, when the two teens had to tell their parents there was the expected reaction. Gojira passed out after Goji told him. He even thought it was a cruel prank before Goji went fishing for the positive test in the trashcan.
After many long weeks of talking, groundings, and otherwise, it was decided that Gojirin and her mother would move back to Japan so that Gojirin would be involved with the growth of her child. Not that either teen truly complained. They were more than happy to get to spend time together.
Granted, it was expected that in the next three or so years the two would be wed, but again it wasn’t an issue. Thankfully their child was conceived out of true love.
“A little,” She says as she draws circles on his stomach. “Kinda crazy, you know?”
“What is?” Goji asks.
“You know,” Gojirin chuckled. “How me and you made another human being. Like man, we made a life together and it’s just mindblowing.”
Goji laughs with her before grabbing her hand and looking at it.
“Do you think he’ll come out brown like you?” He shyly says. “I...would like it if he does, you know? You have a very pretty complexion and I’d hope he gets to reflect that.”
“It doesn’t matter to me either way,” Gojirin says just as her mother starts to set up the small table for them. “As long as he’s a healthy baby that’s what matters most to me.”
“I see,” He nods. “Though I’m a bit scared. I can’t decide whether or not to give birth the normal way or to get cut open. And frankly, both options scare me.”
“Well, I’ll be there either way,” She lightly kisses his cheek. “From your first labor pain to the moment our son is out, I’ll be right by your side.”
“And so will we,” Gojirin’s mother pipes in. “Ugh, I still can’t believe you made me a grandma already, child.”
“Hehe, sorry mama,” The young teen chuckles before helping arrange the table. Goji attempts to stand up but Gojirin’s mother was quick to give him a look. He shrank down and waited for them to finish. The night was filled with laughter. Gojirin’s mother giving the young man advice as to how to handle certain sicknesses and pains.
She prays over the three as well. She hopes that misfortune does not fall upon them. Goji genuinely made Gojirin happy. She remembered the days her daughter would come home brighter after only an hour of walking with him. They complimented each other in a way that reminded her of the love between her husband and her.
Though fear did linger. She learned that Goji’s mother died in childbirth, and Gojira had made a passing remark that his family had a history of producing large babies. She hopes that the young man will be able to grow with his son and her daughter.
_____________________________________________________________
“Oh my,” Biollante says as she looks down at the infant.
The newborn showed off his parents’ genes perfectly. With time the family was certain he would develop that nose Goji has. Lots of curly brown hair on top of his head that laid on beautiful brown skin. To be honest, he wasn’t the prettiest looking baby, but honestly what baby comes out completely perfect?
“Goji please sit down,” Gojira urged as his son gently placed down the baby carrier. Obviously, after several hours of intense labor, the young boy’s body was still recovering even five days later. Gojira was thankful his boy was strong and survived the ordeal.
Gojirin came to him and guided him towards the mat on the floor for him to lay down. They kissed briefly before he eased himself down. Gojira began to attend to his grandson.
Minilla. That’s the name they decided to give him.
“How you feel Uncle?” Biollante asked as Gojira picked up the infant and cradled him. “You know, you’re already a grandpa.”
“Ah it’s weird,” He admits. “But it’ll grow on me.”
Gojirin lays beside her boyfriend, whispering sweet nothings to him as she grabs his hands and caresses them. It was very clear the two were still deeply in love.
But on cue, the newborn awoke with a fury. An ear-piercing screech rang in the air. He was hungry, again, and all Goji could do was groan.
“We don’t have formula yet, huh?” Gojirin asked as she helped Goji sit up. The family shook their head just as Gojira gently handed his grandson off to his son. The young man yawned as he unbuttoned his shirt. Instantly, once latched on the newborn ceased his uproar and suckled peacefully.
“I just want to sleep,” Goji starts sniffling.
“Haha, should’ve thought about that before you two got busy,” Biollante teased just as her uncle hit her upside the head. But as Gojirin rubbed his back, Goji knows that he doesn’t regret a thing. And neither does she. She promised to always be there for him.
And she always will.

Love Is Blind: Chapter Twenty
Robyn sighed as she carefully made up the bed then plopped down to catch her breath. The kids were asleep but Chris was still up doing work for when he returned back to work. He had agreed that it was time for him to move back into their bedroom but she was really worried about whether that’s what he wanted to do. They hadn’t slept in the same bed in weeks and she was concerned whether it would be awkward for them.
“Babe, you up?” Chris called out as he made his way to their bedroom. Robyn turned towards the doorway just as he appeared, “hey you. How’s work going?”
“It’s going. You ok? I thought you’d be asleep by now.”
“I needed to change the bedding and stuff. You alright?”
“I’m good. I think I’m done for the night.”
“Oh. Just coming to say goodnight then?”
“I thought I was moving back in here unless plans have changed.”
“ Huh? No. I just didn’t- never mind.”
“You thought I changed my mind?”
“I didn’t think you were gonna do it anyway.”
Chris chuckled lightly as he walked over and sat down beside her, “I thought we were working on trusting each other.”
“We are. I just didn’t want to rush you into anything. It’s only been a week or so since we’ve started hashing things out.”
“We can hash things and still share a bedroom.”
“I know.”
Chris slipped his arm around her shoulder and hugged her close to him. Robyn kissed his chin before resting her head against his chest, “you drive me crazy but I love it.”
“I don’t mean to.”
“You still do. How was lunch with Mel?”
“It was good. I liked getting out of the house.”
“I’m glad. I’ve still been a little worried about you being isolated here.”
“I’m isolated for medical reasons and I’ve learned to accept that and adjust. My life is just gonna be different for a while, that’s all.”
“How’s the business going?”
“Good. Mel and I dropped in on the shelter while we were out. We hired another on-call doctor to help with the increased business but other than that not much has changed.”
“Beverly enjoying being the boss?”
“She’s always thought she was, now she just getting the pay too.”
Chris laughed, “gonna be hard to talk her down once you go back.”
“I think I’d let her stay vet director and just be the doctor for a change. I can’t handle the stress of patients and paperwork.”
“Oh, that sounds great.”
“If having a five minute argument with you had me passing out, I don’t think dealing with vendors and donors is gonna be too good for my health either.”
“Understandable. You sound a little winded, do you need your inhaler?”
“Please.”
Chris reached into the nightstand and handed the item to her. Robyn pumped on the trigger two times before inhaling deeply. She handed the inhaler back to Chris and he put it back in the drawer, “Sorry.”
“What you apologizing for?”
“I’m sure having to take care of a sick girlfriend, a toddler and a newborn wasn’t in your plans when we got back together.”
“No but it’s nothing I can’t handle.”
“We’re being open here, you don’t have to say the ‘right’ thing.”
“I’m not. Listen, having you back in my life in general was not something I ever thought would happen. Being in a relationship with you and having a baby, double miracles in my book so I am happy to take on whatever I need to because this happened.”
“Don’t start making me be all mushy.”
Chris chuckled, “Don’t start crying or I might have to get your inhaler back out.”
Robyn laughed as she leaned into his chest, “I have a feeling I’m never gonna get rid of that thing.”
“There’s always room for things to get better. Do you feel like your legs are getting better?”
“Yea, I can stand a little longer so I guess the physical therapy is working. I still got months to go unfortunately.”
“What’s so unfortunate about it?”
“Us can’t do us things because I can’t physically handle it. I’m not trying to have a seizure while we fucking. Too weird.”
Chris laughed, “Robyn, the last thing I’m worried about is sex. As long as I can wake up to you, I’m good.”
“Here you go being all perfect again.”
“What would you like me to say, Babe?”
“I don’t know. Just stop being so good because it makes me wanna fuck you and I can’t.”
Chris kissed her temple as he wrapped his arms around her, “Woman, I love you so much, you know that?”
“I love you too. You’re really gonna stay in here with me tonight?”
“Tonight and every night after.”
“Promise?”
“I promise.”
“Can you do me a favor?”
“Whatever you need.”
Robyn smiled up at him, “stop being so sweet. Anyway, can you check my stitches for me?”
“Of course. Is the kit where I left it last?”
“Yea. I’ve been trying to keep it clean but I don’t know if I’ve been doing a good job because I can’t really see it.”
“That’s not an issue, Sweetie. You could’ve asked me to do this a long time ago, you know?’
“I was embarrassed. I still am but since we’re being open, I’m rolling with it right now.”
“I understand. Lay back.”
Chris went to the bathroom to wash his hands and grabbed the little medical kit out the bottom of the sink then went back into the bedroom. Robyn was lying on her back with her shirt pushed up to the underside of her breast. Chris sat the kit on the bed beside her then put on some latex gloves. Carefully he pressed around the sides and top of her belly then moved down towards the spot where the doctor’s had cut her open. He gently pressed against the closed wound, “can you feel that?”
“Yea, I can feel it.”
“Does it hurt?”
“No.”
“No stinging? No sharp pains?”
“None.”
He shined a small flashlight on the area for a second then grabbed a small jar of black/white ointment, “have you been putting this on?”
“Trying to. I don't know how much I’ve actually put on the stitches or just around it.”
“It looks pretty good to me. It doesn't hurt but you’re also not numb and there’s no smell to it. I think you’re good.”
“Ok. Thanks, Babe.”
“You’re welcome.”
He carefully put some ointment on the area before throwing his gloves in the trash and repacking the kit, “you got any other pains in your belly, not just near your stitches?”
“No. I’ve had some stiffness in my neck but that’s usually only in the morning.”
“Have you told your doctor?”
“I mentioned it but it wasn’t that bad really.”
“So you mentioned it but you downplayed it.”
“Kind of.”
“Robyn.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Sweetie, the fact you are still having so many aftereffects is concerning. Nothing is a small thing when it comes to that, ok?”
“I know. I just didn’t feel like having them poking me and sending me for a bunch of tests.”
“What else is bothering you?”
“I’m forgetting stuff more frequently.”
“Things or thoughts?”
“Thoughts. A lot of my memories are fuzzy or missing parts. Sometimes I can’t remember what I did for pockets of time.”
“Robyn, I think you’ve been having mini seizures.”
“What? No. I don’t shake or nothing.”
“Not all seizures require shaking though, the doctor told you that.”
“He did.”
“I think we really need to get you checked out.”
“In the morning, please. I really need to sleep.”
“Tomorrow morning we are going to the hospital, ok?”
“Ok. I promise to cooperate.”
“I don’t want to lose you not just after getting you back.”
Robyn gently palmed his face, “don’t get all melancholy on me. I’ll be fine.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chris kissed the palm of Robyn’s hand as the doctor hooked her up to an EEG, “you ok?”
“I’m fine,” Robyn replied as she looked up at him, “you’re more nervous than I am.”
“You can tell?”
“Definitely can tell but I appreciate the concern, Baby.”
Chris turned to the doctor, “Will you be able to tell if she’s had any previous seizures?”
“We will attempt to use her last EEG and compare if there has been any changes. There’s no guarantee that we’ll see anything but if she’s been having them often, there should be some kind of abnormality,” Dr. Richardson replied as he carefully checked the placement of the nodes, “it doesn’t hurt a bit and should be over fairly soon.”
After a few minutes, they were sitting in a regular examination room as Dr. Richardson placed her EEG results up on a board beside him, “so, there is definite evidence of prior seizures. Have you ever felt stiff, unable to move, sort of like you're frozen in time?”
“Yes, a few times,” Robyn replied.
“You were having mini focal seizures. People often don’t categorize them as seizures because there’s not always shaking or twitching involved. When this begins to happen postpartum, the usual cause is eclampsia. They are also contributing to your respiratory issues as well.”
“Oh. Does it affect memory?”
“Yes, it does. We may need to change the anti-seizure medication you are currently using because it doesn’t seem to be working for you.”
“Do you know how long I’ll have this problem?”
“Usually it only goes on for about six weeks postpartum but seeing as yours has persisted beyond that, we don’t have a clear window on whether your body will completely return to normal.”
“So I’ll be on anti-seizure medication for the rest of my life probably?”
“That is a high possibility.”
“And the respiratory issues?”
“Your respiratory system is stronger than it was, so it seems to have rebounded well. I still want you to take it slow, minimize your stress and continue your physical therapy.’
“Does this happen often?”
“It is rare for a case to be this severe but it does happen. Unfortunately, there’s no definite explanation for why it develops or why it persists longer for some women than others. With monitoring and care, you should be relatively back to normal within a few more weeks outside of the need for medication.”
“Thank you.”
“Not a problem. You’ve been doing well so keep up the good work but please don’t hesitate in letting me know about any more symptoms, I can’t treat what I don’t know about.”
“I understand.”
“I’m going to write a prescription for a new medication. You are not to take it for a week, I want your system cleared of the last medication before you start this to minimize any complications. I don’t want to set back your progress.”
“Ok.”
“I will notate the date you are to start on the prescription bottle. After about a month, we’ll run a new batch of tests to see if it’s helped. In the meantime, if you have any more symptoms, that includes stiffness, numbness, an altered state of consciousness, inability to move your limbs, feeling like you're frozen, blackouts etc., return to the hospital. I don’t want you to ignore it and it becomes worse and possibly causes a stroke.”
“Yes, Dr. Richardson.”
“You can sit here for a few moments or go to the waiting room while I complete your chart and send your prescription.”
Chris shook the doctor’s hand before he left, closing the door behind him. Chris turned to Robyn, “how are you feeling?”
“Overwhelmed. I didn’t anticipate this after having our baby.”
“It’s a lot to take in but we’ll get through it especially now that we know what to expect going forward.”
“I just wanna go home and lay down.”
“You hungry?”
“No, I’m good.”
Chris helped her down off the table and to stand up straight, “you need your walker?”
“No, I think I can make it without it.”
Chris grabbed the portable walker and folded it up into itself while following Robyn’s slow gait out of the examination room. They sat in the waiting room for a few minutes before they were cleared to leave.
Chris watched as Robyn tucked her feet underneath herself as she sat in a chair on the front porch. The newly installed rocking chair helped as the weather got warmer and the kids wanted to be outside more. She carefully started to rock and Chris had to stop himself from going to her immediately. He knew she was still trying to come to terms with the doctor’s diagnosis. Having your miracle baby but developing serious health problems as the result of it is a lot for a person to handle. His therapist had cautioned him to let Robyn take her time to adjust to any new situation before he rushed in to talk to her about it. Everyone needs their space to think before trying to problem solve. He finished washing the cup he was holding when an idea came to him.
Robyn sighed as she brushed a tear off her face. She didn’t anticipate postpartum life being this hard. A few minutes passed when she heard a knock on the wall beside her. She looked up and Chris smiled at her, “Hey Babe.”
“Hey you. Mind some company? I got hot chocolate and sweet cake.”
Robyn giggled, “my favorite. I guess you can sit out here too.”
Chris set the tray down on the side table while he grabbed a chair from the other side of the porch to sit down.
“How you feeling, Baby?”
“I’m ok. Still wrapping my mind around my new body, I guess but I’m ok.”
“You know you don’t have to put on a front for me. I know this is hard and definitely not either of us anticipated when you got pregnant.”
“Definitely.”
“But you don’t have to suffer through this in silence. I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk.”
“I don’t know how we do this.”
“The same way we do anything else; we adjust, adapt and just do it. Unfortunately, there’s no prewritten playbook for this.”
“I know. It’s just- it’s overwhelming. How are you?”
“I’m good but I’m focused on you. I wish I could tell you I understand how it feels but I’m no woman and I have not given birth so I can’t possibly help in that aspect but I want to help you by making this easier for you to deal with.”
“I don’t know. I’m trying to adjust to the weight, the breathing, the walker, and the seizures all at once.”
“It’s a lot, Sweetheart. I know but you are the strongest woman I know. You’ve made it through so much that I have no doubt if we really give it our best shot, you’ll get through this. You’re not alone in this. Maybe we can approach this the same way we’ve approached getting back to center. One thing at time. Your health is way more important than the whole weight thing right now. Once we get your seizures under control which in turn assists with your breathing, we can worry about that.”
“I guess that would be best. I guess I’ll have to get used to being a size 14 for a while.”
“Which is not a bad thing.”
“You’re only saying that because my butt is bigger.”
Chris playing raised his brows at her and Robyn laughed, “Listen, intercourse may be out of the question for a while but my hands are not broke.”
“Oh my God, Christopher.”
“What? I’m just being honest. I can rub on you a little bit, it can’t hurt.”
“You’re such a troublemaker.”
“I love you.”
“I know. I love you too.”
Chris smiled and leaned over to kiss her lips, “you wanna go on a date with me?”
“We have the kids here.”
“I know. We’re not gonna leave the house but I wanna do something special for you.”
“How?”
“You let me worry about that. Just need a yes or no.”
“Uh yes.”
“Good.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Ok, are your eyes closed?”
Robyn chuckled, “does it matter? I have a blindfold on.”
“I’m just checking, Ms. Fenty-Brown,” Chris replied with a laugh, “it’s just a few more steps.”
“I don’t know why I have to be blindfolded, we’re at your house.”
“Our house. And I still want this to be a surprise. You been fussing for the last five minutes.”
“Because I’m anxious. Hurry up.”
Chris carefully guided her to the middle of the backyard before standing behind her and taking the blindfold off, “what you think?”
“Aww Babe, this is beautiful.”
Chris held her waist to keep her steady as she started to walk around. Decorative lanterns were placed inside and outside a large tent with the opening flaps pinned to stay open. Small lights were hung inside the cloth and metal structure as the all white pillows and palettes glowed underneath them.
“Can we go inside?”
“Yea, just hold onto my hand and i’ll help you get down.”
Robyn kneeled carefully as she held onto Chris’s wrist then slowly crawled inside the tent, “this is so pretty.”
“You like it?” Chris replied as he sat beside her.
“I love it. It’s comfy and relaxing in here.”
“Good.”
“So what else you got up your sleeve?”
“What you mean?”
“I know you and I sense there’s something else going on here.”
“There’s no hidden agenda here, Robyn.”
“I didn’t say it was a hidden agenda, I just think you got something else planned.”
Chris smiled, “it’s not anything like you think, I promise.”
“Ok.”
Chris moved to close the flaps of the tent and shifted to press a button on a small black box that was situated on a small table behind them. A lens popped up out the top of the box and began to project an image on the white flaps.
“Aww Babe, my favorite movie. This is so cute.”
“I wanted to get the usual movie stuff but I know you can’t eat any of it so...I got this,” Chris grabbed a tray and sat it between them, “so there’s some green tea with honey, some mini sweet cakes and cookies.”
Robyn did a little dance and Chris chuckled, “I’m guessing I did good.”
“You did perfect. I only find these cookies at the airport, where’d you get them?”
“You can order them in bulk online. I found them last week.”
“You even chilled the green tea. You remembered.”
“You’re the only person I know who drinks brewed green tea cold.”
“It just tastes better to me.”
“You ready to watch the movie?”
“Yes. Can you move closer?”
Chris furrowed his brow then moved the tray out the way and scooted closer. Robyn leaned down and put her head in his lap. She grabbed one of his hands to hold it as the movie began to play. Chris leaned down and kissed her temple before whispering in her ear, “I love you.”
“I love you too, Baby.”

So I wrote some head canons for how certain characters would look after you if you’re upset or mental health isn’t the best. These are very generic (usually when writing I focus more on help during a panic attack or specific situations) But I wanted to write something shorter and general for now as I’m off sick from work today and feeling pretty awful. There’s more characters I’ll be posting for in the next week or two (Cloud, Jessie, Barrett, Rude & Tseng)
Reno - side note with Reno, I don’t think he’d be like this with anyone/everyone or casual acquaintances or ‘friends’. I think to get these reactions from him you’d have to be very close and a trusted member of his inner circle. (I am writing a very long character study about him at present).
Hates feeling helpless, if there’s one thing he cannot stand it’s not being able to help the people he loves. He needs to know what he can do to make you feel better/safer/more at peace etc. Not knowing this really bothers him and will keep him up at night.
His first thought will be distraction, it’s what works well for him - though he’ll admit this is a tactic that isn’t particularly healthy when he should really face issues. So if you need a distraction then he’s there to support you, but also to let you know when you’re ready to talk he’s listening.
If you want to talk about it, he’s happy to talk. If you don’t want to and just need company that’s cool too. He’ll take you out to video arcades so you have some healthy competition, or out dancing.
Long and tight hugs (if you’re comfortable with them) the kind that make you feel safe where he wants to know you’re protected and can just bury your head in his chest.
Reno’s down to stay up all night, it doesn’t have to be doing anything particular, you could just be sat on a rooftop watching the city go by and making slow chit chat.
Tifa
Tifa’s observant but also doesn’t like to overstep her mark, she’ll notice when something is wrong but will likely wait for others to come to her.
If something seems wrong after several days and nothing has been said, she’ll drop a few subtle hints like a hand on the shoulder or a reassuring smile.
Once you’ve opened up to Tifa she’s a great listener, either asking the others to take over the bar or even closing early if you need some time to talk in private.
Mixology baby! Tifa’s a bar tender and the best in the slums at making cocktails. What better a way to distract you and have some fun than teaching you how to make cocktails? It works, the alcohol is a nice bonus too! If you’re not a drinker then Tifa will come up with gorgeous mocktails to make instead.
Suggests getting ready for a night out/dressing up, she’ll help do your make-up if you wear it or brush hair. A proper pamper night before some much needed time out - or even just getting ready to stay in and talk.
Aerith
A sweetheart who’ll know when something is wrong, much like Tifa though she doesn’t want to pry though will think of ways to get you away from others so that she can bring it up.
Takes you flower picking even if you don’t end up talking about whatever has been on your mind, it’s a relaxing activity that the two of you can do together in peace.
She suggests you talk to the flowers, they’re good listeners! She’ll leave you alone for a while so you can chat to them, even if you feel a bit silly, she does have a point. Sometimes in saying things aloud you end up answering your own questions, speaking to the flowers is cathartic.
Makes the best tea that helps to calm your mind and sleep easy.
Long walks that end up at the Church if you need some quiet contemplation, she’s there to watch out and make sure no one disturbs you.
Biggs
Tight hugs and reassuring words, shoulder squeezes, sitting by your side and listening to you attentively.
Biggs isn’t one to try and force you to be happy or tell you to just smile, rather he’ll encourage you to express your emotions and not hold back. If you’re not feeling okay then you’re not feeling okay - and that’s okay.
He’ll take you out for food - whatever you want - it’s going to be three courses (at least). He’s paying.
Playing darts or pool - a little competition is a good distraction but Biggs isn’t too competitive, you’re not entirely sure whether he’s let you win to cheer you up, either way it doesn’t matter.
Offers to assist you with anything that will help to ease any concerns or provide back-up
Has plenty of tissues if you need a cry and will help wipe away the tears.
Offers up embarrassing stories about himself to make you laugh and feel a little better.
Wedge
There is nothing this boy won’t do to cheer you up, or at least take your mind off what’s worrying you once you’ve hold him what’s going on.
Really good to talk to, really good listener. Hates it that he can’t make people feel better much like Reno. But he tries hard and is pretty good at giving advice and helping you to come to terms with the cause of what is worrying/upsetting you and to process it.
If you’re in the mood Wedge gives great cuddles (and enjoys being a little silly) think tickling and pillow fights, silly faces etc. If you’re friends it’s very much a sibling vibe.
Playing and cuddling with his cats who make you feel like you’re part of the family.
Precious cinnamon roll who just wants to see you smile.
Takeout pizza which you eat back at yours. You get a large each and plenty of sides which you share - there’s no rules against double dipping.

Secret Baby ch 21
Kiyoko is sick for 3 days. It’s a stressful few days for Dabi. Checking her fever and timing when he can give her another dose of fever reducer. It stresses him out to the point of exhaustion, Kiyoko reacts to his anxiety and distress by crying harder and refusing to settle. Kiyoko finally calms down for longer than a couple hours when her fever finally breaks a few days later. Letting Dabi sleep for what he guesses to be a solid 10 hours.
Shigaraki calls once as Kiyoko’s fever is peaking and she’s wailing in discomfort. Dabi sends him to voicemail and follows up with a short text about now not being a good time. Shigraki calls twice more afterwards so Dabi ends up silencing his phone. Later that night once he has Kiyoko tucked into her nest and is cleaning up he calls back.
“Why the hell didn’t you answer me earlier?” Shigaraki’s voice rasps through the phone. Demanding and Dabi can’t help but think of his boss as childish. He had sent a text and promised to call back later in his defense, what kind of person expected you to drop everything when they called anyways? “Are you doing dishes or something? I thought you were going to call back when you weren’t doing anything.”
“I couldn’t come to the phone. Personal issues. I’m free to talk now, you’re just going to have to ignore the background noise Creep.” It feels weird letting his voice become deeper and rougher at home. Kiyoko is safe in her nest and asleep but he still feels nervous letting his something he uses for work into his home.
“Fine. There’s a meeting tomorrow, meeting the rest of the League mostly and stay for dinner this time.” Shigraki huffs after a moment of silence. He expects to be obeyed but doesn't hang up either, waiting for Dabi to agree.
“I can’t stay for some weird Villain dinner.” Dabi pauses. This is a larger group, he knows he has to play nice. At least he has to work with everyone enough that he doesn't get discarded.
“Make it lunch so we’re not wasting time with shit. I’ve only got so much free time so you're just going to have to deal Boss.” Dabi shut off the faucet and stood up straight, cracking his spine and making him release a tired sigh. He didn’t have the energy for this, his family wouldn’t free himself though. He wanted to introduce Kiyoko to her aunt and uncles. He wants Rei to know she has a grandchild, wants her to move on and heal from all that enji has done to them. He wants to try with her at least, maybe with enji out of the picture things will be different between them.
Shigaraki is silent on the other end of the line for a few minutes. The sound of some games' special effects coming through the line is the only thing that lets Dabi know that the call itself isn’t an issue.
“Well creep? You're going to have to give me more notice than this if you want us to work together. I don’t have a lot of time to myself already. I'm banking on you and this League you’ve started being worth it.” Dabi snags his baby monitor off the counter and steps outside to light up a cigarette.
“Just show up crispy bastard. I’ll let everyone know and we’ll set up meeting times ahead now.” Shigaraki sniped at him but it was nicer than it could have been. “I hadn’t expected anyone who had other shit I guess.” Shigaraki hung up rudely, it would have been annoying but Dabi just rolled his eyes and put out his smoke. This better be worth it.
The next morning passes in a blur as he hauls his exhausted ass around the apartment. Kiyoko is bright eyed and happy again as she crawls around after him. Dabi moves from room to room cleaning and scenting as he goes. He leaves several windows open as he leaves, airing out the apartment. He’s had hardly any sleep and he’s relieved he set everything out the night before. The sitter had demanded an upcharge due to short notice but hopefully this is going to be the only time. Kiyoko hardly cries as he drops her off and the bus is on time for once, resulting in him being a few minutes earlier than he had expected.
There’s a green lump next to the door that he absent mindedly pats as he comes in the door and he uses it to steady himself as he kicks his boots clean of muck. It gives an offended squawk making him jump. He mentally groans as he realizes what he’s done. The ‘green lump’ stands up and faces him with his arms crossed.
“Did you seriously just pet me? What the fuck dude?” The lizard guy confronts him, Dabi would take him seriously if he wasn't in a Stain cosplay. The guy is built and he has a large sword made of knives on his back. He smells of irritated beta and strangely enough coffee.
“I just saw a lump and didn’t realize it was a person. Sorry.” Dabi pulls his hand out of his pocket in case the guy decides to take his mistake out on him.
“I’m a person not a piece of furniture.” The guy scowls and his lips pull back to expose human looking teeth. “Whatever, don’t do it again. I’m Spinner.”
“You can call me Dabi.” The blue eyed omega nods at him but doesn't take the offered hand. He realizes he’s going to have to tell at least someone his name at some point. The rest of his history will have to come out as well but he wants to stay Dabi as long as he can.
Spinner gives him a sideways look but lets it slide. It figures he would, seeing as he also introduced himself with a Villain moniker rather than his actual name. Shigaraki is one of the only people who have wanted a legal name, at least the rest of his group won’t be following that pattern.
“Dabi! You finally came back! No one will let me drink their blood but It’s okay because I saw someone cute yesterday!” Toga comes around the corner and inserts herself into his space. Dabi listens to her ramble as he goes into the next room. Her hair is coming out of the buns on top of her head but her clothes look cleaner than when he last saw her.
“Toga, You left your cup in the kitchen.” A alpha woman with sunglasses perched on top of her red hair nearly runs into them as Toga leads him past the bar to what must be the kitchen. She smells strongly of alpha mixed with citrus. It’s bright and comforting in some odd way Dabi has never experienced before but it's not unpleasant.
Toga grabs the cup as she holds it out and slurps the red liquid in it. It's enclosed and she’s drinking it through a straw but Dabi’s still pretty sure it's blood.
“Who’s the goth hon?” She tilts her head at Dabi and has blocked the doorway to the kitchen. Large shoulders blocking the view and Dabi straightens up to look her in the eyes.
“Currently going by Dabi.” He puts a hand on Toga’s shoulder in case he has to pull her back again like when they met Shigaraki. “You going to let us pass and let me finish getting introduced?”
“You can call me big sis Magne.” She moves back and lets them into the room. “No last name there for you?”
“I’ll tell you when I have to. No family name for you either Magne?” Dabi lets Toga shrug him off and gives Magne another once over. It doesn't seem to be a touchy subject for her at least.
“Not one I use, legally it's stuck with my dead name still. Magne is what I go by and I just added Big sis for my villain moniker.” Whatever test she was giving him he seems to have passed. He was asking about the family name to poke around back at her. Instead he seems to have set the alpha at ease.
“Nah, Don’t like them much and the feeling is mutual.” she smirks at him and he can’t help but give a small smile back. He can already tell that she’s going to one of his favorites and she has a calming presence.
Toga gives another loud slurp, making so much noise due to how thick the liquid must be. She seems happy though so Dabi shoves the thought that it's gross to the back of his head.
At the table there’s a guy in a full body suit and mask, all monochrome colors, sitting at the table. Tea and books come with his light beta scent and Dabi is seriously starting to question why all these strangers smell so nice to him. Maybe it’s because he knows he will be with them for a while and his brain is trying to trick him into letting the arrangement be more permanent.
“Hey! Glad you got here safe! It’s about time you showed up, are you going to introduce yourself?” He speaks in two voices and Dabi is confused for a moment on which one he means until Toga holds up a finger to him. First voice then he guesses.
“Dabi. Nice enough to be here I guess.” He sits down across from him and the guy perks up.
“I’m Twice, Girans friend! Jin bubaigawara.” He holds out his hand and looks so hopeful that Dabi can’t help but shake it. This is the guy Giran had sent to check out the League?
“Nice to meet you I guess Jin.” He sits down, as a man in a bright orange coat walks in. Guess he wasn’t the last to arrive as he’d assumed. Then again some of the members seem to have taken up Kuroguri on the off to live here.
“Young Sir, you must be the last new member Shigaraki had been saying we would meet today.” He gives Dabi a bow and tips his tophat as Dabi blinks in surprise. The theatrical man pulls a bottle of sake and cups out of thin air. He’s wearing scent blockers like Dabi, keeping his secondary gender to himself. “I’m Sako Atsuhiro. Mr.Compress works as well if you prefer to keep things professional.”
Mr.Compress cracks the seal on the bottle loudly before he pours, It’s been forever since Dabi let himself drink. First he was pregnant and then occasionally breast feeding and then he was just too busy to relax and unwind with a stiff drink. Compress had even made a show of breaking the seal, knowing they all didn’t trust each other yet. Dabi takes the glass with no intention of actually drinking it but finds himself relaxing and taking small sips. Mr. Compress shows off magic tricks and Twice is his interactive audience.
Kuroguri glides into the dining area right before Shigaraki and Spinner enter , Mr. Compress pulls out a chair for him and Dabi hides his grin behind his sake cup. Lunch passes quickly with a lot of questions aimed at everyone. Most of them Dabi declines to answer. He’s never planned to work with a group this long. Still he figures his usual rule of thumb, the less they know the better, will work just fine. Shigaraki who gets visibly upset and starts scratching respects it when he pasess on things such as a favorite food or game. Anything he can stomach and He dosen’t even have time for an idle game currently.
Kuroguri is asking him if he has any family if he’s got any collateral these people can use against him when the first call comes through the line. Dabi shoots up and can his normally iron hard face mask slipping. Showing hints of instinctual panic at Kiyoko’s sitters ringtone. He blames it on the unfinished cup of sake, not nearly enough to affect him, instead of the warm comfortable atmosphere. It’s nothing, just an alert that the kids are going outside.
The next text is asking if Kiyoko’s feathers can be vacuumed up. Dabi scowls as he types furiously into his phone to leave his daughters feathers on her back, before another one arrives and it's a picture of the soft down surrounding Kiyoko. The black haired omega frowns, yeah he can see how that would be an issue for someone else. He types back a short response that it's fine. Then lets his leg bounce off in anxiety as his phone chimes several more times. Some of the members are looking at him strangely and it just makes it worse. He checks his phone again as he wonders if he locked the door on his way in. Of course he did, he never forgets, but that’s for his own house and he has the urge to check for the base.
“Everything alright Dabi?” Shigaraki asks him with an odd tone to his voice. Dabi brushes it off as Shigaraki’s possessive streak coming out as the crusty asshole tries to sneak a peek at his phone like some sort of kid.
It's the fourth time Dabi has ducked out to take a phone call. Kiyoko is crying and controlling some of her feathers to annoy her sitter or entertain the other kids. When they were vacuumed up Kiyoko had become hysterical. Her sitter wants him to come get her as soon as possible again and Dabi wishes he could fault her for it. He sighs, resigning himself to excusing himself now. He twists one of his many rings decorating his fingers as he walks back in. The picture of apologetic.
Shigaraki tries not to be annoyed but Dabi won’t answer even the most basic questions about himself and he keeps leaving the meeting. Claiming it's urgent with his face drawn tight as he tries to pretend at being nonchalant.
Toga has been the only one able to get close enough to hear what's so urgent he has to keep leaving. Kuroguri could but he keepst telling him to let Dabi come to him in his own time.
“I have to go.” Dabi storms back inside the dining area tapping his phone against his palm repeatedly.
Shigaraki hisses at him but at a kick under the table from Kuroguri he waves Dabi off. He thinks it's shady of Dabi to be looking at his phone all evening and suddenly have to dip but he also trusts Kuroguris judgement implicitly.
Does he have a spy in the League already?

You didn’t speak to Sehun as he pulled into the garage and shut off the engine. Hell, you were half tempted to jump out of the car when he’d first rolled onto the grass, but you thought that might be a little overdramatic. Besides, slamming the door to his “baby” as hard as you could was much more satisfying. You caught the flinch as soon as the metal hit and echoed through the building. Yes, satisfying indeed.
“(y/n)….”
Nope. You were not in the mood to listen to anymore of his doubts or his tries to persuade you out of your opinion.
Your anger and frustration must have been written all over your face. As soon as Soomi saw your face, she jumped up from the couch.
“What’s wrong?” she asked.
You glanced over your shoulder as Sehun’s sour face before replying. “Nothing.”
Clearly ignoring the hint that you didn’t want to talk about it, Soomi looked to the wolf behind you. “What happened?”
“(y/n) thinks she knows who the woman is, but I disagree,” he said in a very simplified version.
Soomi’s eyes lit up with hope. “You do? Who?”
You swallowed thickly. What if she had the same reaction as Sehun? What if absolutely no one believed you? “I think,” you said quietly, “that it might be Mina.”
“Mina? Dana’s friend? Why?”
“Because she looks like the woman in my visions,” you explained confidently.
“Whose face you’ve never seen,” Sehun argued as he stepped up next to you, an annoyed glare in his eyes.
You didn’t even look at him. “No, but I am the one who has had the visions, so I have the clues, as I said before.”
“But there are millions of people with blonde hair and pale skin,” Sehun pushed further. “That’s hardly enough to go by.”
“I don’t know,” Soomi muttered, her eyebrows knitted together as she weighed the issue in front of her. Just when it seemed that you would be on your own once again, she surprised you. “The timing is suspicious. For her to show up now and look so similar….”
“Oh, come on, Soomi, not you, too,” Sehun whined.
“What’s going on?”
Junmyeon entered with Kita by his side and several others behind him. Why did every little happening in this house have to have an audience?
“(y/n) thinks Mina might be the woman from her visions,” Sehun grumbled. It seemed he, too, was a little irritated at how big this was scene was getting. Since you saw it as his fault, you didn’t feel the least bit sorry for him. “I’m trying to make her see that there’s no way it could be Mina.”
“You don’t know that,” Hae In interjected. Oh thank god someone had some sense.
“She’s Dana’s friend.”
“So?” Hae In snapped. “We don’t know her. I’d trust (y/n) over Mina.”
Sehun rolled his eyes. “It’s not that I don’t trust (y/n). Of course I do. But I don’t think we should be jumping to conclusions. Blonde hair and pale skin? That could describe you, Hae In.”
“Maybe it is me,” she smirked. “Maybe I got sick of you and decided to form a rebellion and take (y/n) with me.”
“Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised,” Baekhyun muttered.
“Kyungsoo would kill you if he heard that,” said Jongin.
Luhan shrugged. “I doubt it. He’s not a big fan of Mina either.”
“But Mina is still Dana’s friend,” Kimberly argued. “I don’t think we should be singling her out off of circumstantial evidence.”
“Another wonderful sentence from the future crime reporter,” Jongdae grunted. Jongin didn’t take too kindly to the remark, a deep growl rumbling in his chest.
“Okay, that’s enough!” Junmyeon barked. Shifting his attention to you, he said in a calmer voice, “(y/n), thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’ll keep a close eye on Mina. I’ll go call Kyungsoo. It’ll be difficult, but he should be able to keep this from Dana for the time being. We don’t want to cause her unneeded stress.”
You nodded, accepting that answer for now. It felt nice that you were being taken seriously by at least one of the alphas. But that didn’t make the initial betrayal hurt any less.
Pushing past the crowd, you took the stairs two at a time until you reached the second floor in record time. You should have known better than to try and use this place as an escape, but there was no turning back now.
“Hey, wait-”
“I don’t feel like talking to you right now.” You tried to open the door to the bedroom, but Sehun put his hand over yours, holding it shut. Damn the contact, you snatched your hand away. You were sure the boys used the hormonal seizure that happened in the mates’ body at the skin to skin contact to their advantage. This would not be one such occasion. Not on your watch.
“Well, I do,” he grunted as he pushed himself between you and the door.
“Unless it’s a genuine apology, I don’t want to hear it.”
He sighed heavily. “I’m sorry that I can’t believe that it’s Mina.”
“Wrong kind of apology.” You tried to shove passed him, but the big lug wouldn’t budge.
Sehun roared. “Why are you so difficult?”
“Why can’t you just trust me?” you fired back.
“It’s not that I don’t trust you! I just don’t want you to jump to conclusions!”
“I’m not jumping to conclusions, I’m following the clues!” You wanted to rip your hair out. Why wouldn’t he just take you at your word? “I can’t change what I saw in my visions!”
Sehun shook his head defiantly. “Sometimes I really hate that you have those.”
Knife? Meet heart.
Yes, you hated them sometimes, too, but at the end of the day they were still apart of you. They were a part of your gifts – gifts that frustrated you and put you on the outside, but still yours. You couldn’t get rid of them, you couldn’t just make them stop, so you accepted them. It was one thing for you to have animosities about the visions, it was another for him to. Saying that he hated your visions made you feel like he hated a part of you. Those visions were the reason you were here in the first place. They were what brought you to the farmhouse where you could meet this so-called love of your life. This was the man who was supposed to stand by your side and accept every part of you. Apparently, nice things didn’t last too long in your life.
“Excuse me, then, I’ll just turn them off for your convenience.”
Sehun groaned. “That’s not what I meant.”
“Then what could you have possibly meant, Sehun? Huh?” You didn’t really give him a chance to reply. “Why don’t you just admit that being mated to me wasn’t all you thought it would be?”
Sehun’s eyes widened in shock. “(y/n), where is this coming from?”
A million little facets of insecurity and doubt, that’s where. But you decided to throw his behavior in his face instead. That was a less vulnerable - and not as truthful - “Oh, I don’t know. How about the fact that you’re fine until the topic of my powers come up. Then you start acting weird and change the subject. Everyone else wants to see them, but you just sit there with this sour frown on your face. You used to be fascinated by it too, you know.” Tears pricked at your eyes. Fantastic. There was no way for you to hide them, so you just let them collect and pool. “You used to stare at me in awe when I used my powers. It’s part of why I fell for you in the first place, before knowing I was your mate. But now I just feel like a burden to you.”
“You have never been a burden, (y/n).”
“But it’d be easier, right?” you snapped back. “Now that the shine is gone, it’d be easier if I were normal, boring human like the others, wouldn’t it? Less complicated that way?”
At first, he said nothing. He stared at you with his mouth pressed in a tight line, the same look he always had when he was thinking hard. His hesitation wasn’t doing your self-esteem any favors. Air blew out of his lungs, ending the pause.
“Yes, it would be, but-”
You shook your head almost violently. “No, thanks. I don’t need any explanations. Not from you.”
“(y/n), listen to me-”
Slam! You’d made it to the bathroom down the hall and locked the door behind you before he could even finish his sentence.
You hated him. You hated him more than the ones who used to torture and bully you for being different, for being more. It was idiotic to feel accepted and at peace around him. You’d settled into content and it’d blown up in your face. He’d backed away as soon as things didn’t line up for him perfectly.
“(y/n)! Open the door, please! Just let me explain!”
No. He didn’t give you the benefit of listening to your suspicions, why should you listen to him now?
You didn’t yell at him to go away or to shut up or any words at all. Instead, you sat there on the cold tile silently, legs folded and back against the wooden door. Each time Sehun knocked against the thin barrier with his fist, you felt the vibrations through your shoulder blades. Still you didn’t moved.
Eventually he gave up and you listened to his footsteps fade away through the hall and down the stairs.
Now would have been the time to cry. Now would have been the time to let out all the tears. The wall of hurt that had built up inside you, each brick of molded out of the words and doubt given by Sehun, would easily come crashing down upon if you simply tapped on it with your finger. But you never touched it.
Sitting there you were just… existing. Time no longer felt real the longer you stayed in that small room. You could almost imagine yourself living inside a bubble connected to another dimension, another world. If only you could really escape to another place and no longer have to deal with the happenings of this place. But that wasn’t possible. Even magic had its limitations.
But you could do something.
You needed space. You needed to get away, have some time to yourself, and maybe even find some proof that you weren’t crazy. Maybe if you could connect more dots between the visions and Mina, you could-
You weren’t sure what you wanted at this point. To be right? To get back at Sehun? There was no telling what currently drove you.
Leave. Now.
It almost felt like a whisper in your ear, urging you to get up and go, to not waste time, but no true source could be found for the urge.
Taking a risk, you peeked out the bathroom to check that the coast was clear before scurrying to the bedroom. You didn’t stuff much into Soomi’s knapsack she packed for emergencies as you figured you’d only be gone for a day or so. It was fully your intention to be back before the blood moon. So with the pull-string bag slung over your shoulder, you checked the hallway once again and headed back for the bathroom.
You knew that your best bet of getting away was to make them think that you were still locked away in the bathroom throwing a tantrum. So you headed back, locking the door once again as quietly as you could before going over to the window.
The drop didn’t seem that bad, but it would have been dumb to jump and hope for the best. To your luck, however, there was a bush off to the side. Closing your eyes, you concentrated on the leaves and branches of the plant, imagining them growing and expanding into a pad that was safe to land on. By the time you opened your eyes, your imagination had become reality.
You gritted your teeth as you swung a leg over the sill. And then another.
Were you really about to do this?
Sehun’s face floated in your mind.
Yes. Yes, you were.
Shoving off, you twisted your body so you landed on the oversized bush on your side, rolling off the branches and landing a bit hard on the grass beside it. But you didn’t have time to think about the pain as you jumped up to your feet and ran for the forest. Breathing grew difficult the farther you pushed yourself. However, slowing down was not an option.
The closer you made it to the treeline, the more your determination grew. You were going to show him and you were going to do it on your own.
**
Sehun sat at the breakfast booth, staring at the glass of alcohol he’d poured with himself. He hadn’t touched it. The ice was melting and small dots of condensation were building up on the side of the cup, sliding down the surface before pooling on the table top. He’d poured it more out of habit, like a ritual that would suddenly make him feel better. But he knew that was a crock. The only thing that would make him feel better would be you talking to him again.
He knew he messed up. He should have just kept his mouth shut no matter what he thought. How could he explain that he didn’t sense any danger from Mina and that’s why he didn’t think she was behind the coming danger? Wolves had a knack for this sort of thing.
In the end, he figured that you needed space. After you’d calmed down, you’d let him explain what he meant by the words he’d said. Especially the stupid response to you being a witch.
He loved that you were different. He loved that you grew up in the same world as he did. It was a connection that was missing from the other couples. But you didn’t know how worried he was. You didn’t know that the reason he made that face every time you used your powers in front of the guys was because he was worried about you. He worried about you losing control and hurting yourself.
The fire still haunted him, even though he’d never admit it outloud. He’d been able to sense the danger and make it to before the flames got out of control, but who could say he could it again? He needed to protect you. It was his very instinct.
He wouldn’t change a single thing about you. And you needed to know that.
Sliding out from the booth, Sehun headed back up the stairs. It was worth another shot getting you to talk to him.
With an unsure fist, he knocked against the door. “(y/n)?”
No answer.
He tried the handle, but it was still locked. So you were still in there. “(y/n), can we please talk now?” You still didn’t reply. Wow. You were really going to keep going, weren’t you? “Okay, fine. Keep the door between us, but please listen. I didn’t mean to upset you. I just didn’t want to rush to judgement. Dana’s been through… a lot. And Mina’s been her closest friend for years. I didn’t want to ruin that without being absolutely sure. Of course I trust you. I know that you’re the only one who has seen - well, what you’ve seen.”
Still nothing. What was he going to have to do to hear your voice again? Keep apologizing was the only thing he could come up with.
“And… I know that you said you didn’t want to hear anymore excuses, but I have to say it. I don’t care that you’re a witch - no. I love it. I love how special you are. I wouldn’t change that at all. It- It’s just complicated. If you were human, I could protect you differently. I could make sure that you’re out of danger. But with as powerful as you are, I know I can’t keep you out of the fight. I can’t sideline you like Evie or Jiyeon or Kita. And… I’m scared. I’m scared to death to lose you. But I think I might have done that anyway.”
He waited. With no air leaving or entering his lungs, he waited. But no response to his confession came. In fact, no noises whatsoever came from the bathroom. Now that he was concentrating, he realized that not even your heartbeat was reaching his ears.
“(y/n)!”
Screw propriety. Kicking his foot out, he broke the lock and swung the door open.
It was empty.

Breaking the Barriers
Hey, @lalunaoscura! Happy birthday, dear! Here’s your gift, and I hope you like it. Have an amazing day!
(I own none of the characters. This is merely a fan fiction.)

“Hey, Nino! What's up?”
“I’m really sorry to disturb you at this hour Marinette, but Adrien is not picking up my calls nor replying to my messages.”
Marinette sat up straighter. “What are you saying?”
“I don't know, maybe his old man grounded him again or something, but I don't have a good feeling about this.”
“Okay I got this,” Marinette was already shoving her notebooks away. “I'll text you when I reach him.”
“I'm not sure if you will be able to contact him,” Nino sounded unsure.
He can’t ignore me if I physically show up though, thought Marinette.
“You know me, Nino. I got my ways.”
“Okay, just drop me a line to let me know that he's alright, or if he is-"
“Don't worry, he'll be fine,” Marinette said with a conviction she wasn't quite feeling herself.
As soon as she ended the call, Tikki floated over in front of her, “Adrien?”
“Yeah. Nino says he's not responding to him. He has never done that before.”
Tikki smiled knowingly. “Just say the words.”
“Tikki, spots on!”
Within a moment, Ladybug had climbed out of Marinette's room and was swinging her way to a certain model.
Knock-knock.
Adrien looked up over the back of his couch towards the closed window from where the sound came.
“Marinette?”
He hesitated for a moment, but then gave in. He hurried over to his window.
He paused again in front of his window. His lady was hanging on the other side of his window, separated from him only by a glass pane. He hadn't seen her in more than twenty-four hours. And just like every time, he was mesmerized by her ocean-blue eyes. Her cheeks were lightly flushed, probably from the cold outside, but he thought it made her look all the more beautiful.
He was broken out of his reverie by her fist thumping on the glass.
Are you going to let me in or what? she mouthed.
It would be a disrespect to leave a Princess waiting outside when she had shown up at his window, he thought while opening the window to let her in.
The first thing Ladybug did after getting into Adrien’s room was to enfold him in a tight hug.
Adrien was surprised at first, but he soon melted into her warm embrace. He wrapped his arms around her and buried his face in her neck. And slowly he could feel the tension floating away from his body.
This felt good.
After a long moment, they let go of each other, very slowly. And then Ladybug said, “Tell me.”
Adrien knew she would want to know. All evening, he had retreated into his little shell and refused to interact with anyone. He refused to touch his phone or come out of his room. He even cancelled his photoshoot saying he was not feeling too well.
His heart had been crying out for Marinette. His Lady. His Princess. Because he knew that she was the only one who could make him feel better. But he couldn't pluck up the nerve to call her or text her.
But now, when she was looking at him with that piercing gaze, that was both concerned and demanding at the same time, he could not find it in himself to hold back any longer.
“Promise me you'll not get upset?”
“I'm sorry Adrien, but I cannot promise you that. If it is something that upset you so much, then I am probably going to get upset as well and I am going to fight it.”
How could this girl have him so intimidated and in love with her at the same time?
He led her to his couch, where he was sitting earlier. Marinette noticed his Ladybug plush, and it had dents on it that looked like he had been holding it really tightly. This didn't look good; Adrien was not okay at all.
“Please wait here,” she heard him say as he made his way upstairs.
Adrien needed to get his phone. He had kept the phone somewhere on his bookshelves, just to be away from everything for a while. When he turned it on, he was shocked to find 55 missed calls, 17 voice messages, and 92 texts from Nino in the past three hours.
Adrien smiled. He was so lucky to have friends like Nino and Marinette, who cared for him so much. But then the other thing came back to him in a rush, and he felt tears forming up in his eyes.
“Adrien, are you alright up there?”
Marinette's voice brought him back to reality. It was incredible how she seemed to just know that it was her voice that he needed to hear then.
“Yeah, I’m coming down in a minute!” he called out.
And he did come down in a minute. He decided that it would take him some time to respond to all of Nino's messages. But he could not just leave him hanging like that, so he just sent him one little text: I'm alright. Don’t worry about me, man. I'll call you when I'm free. Sorry for worrying you.
“Hey Princess,” he announced, taking her by surprise. He noticed she was typing away on her yo-yo phone. “Did I interrupt something?”
“Oh no,” Ladybug said, shutting down her yo-yo. “I was just texting Nino. He has been worried to death.”
“I know,” Adrien sighed, settling down on the couch beside her. “There are so many alerts on my phone from him.” His voice dropped to a whisper, “I am sorry for making you guys worry.”
“No Adrien!” Ladybug placed her hands on both of his cheeks, gently turning his head towards her. “Please stop saying things like that! We worry about you because we care about you!”
Adrien smiled at that, but Marinette noticed how his smile did not even reach his eyes.
His smile faded too soon. He took his phone and did something on it, and then nervously extended it towards her. Ladybug took the phone from his shaking hands. The screen showed a page on the Ladyblog. It was the video of last week's akuma battle. The one in which Chat Noir ended up being captured, and the supervillain was holding him hostage to coax Ladybug into giving up her Miraculous. Luckily, she managed to find a way and got Chat out of there in time, deakumatised the villain and saved the day.
Right now, Ladybug was reading a thread of comments. The very first one read: “How is Chat Noir even a hero? All he ever does is get captured, get turned into one of the akuma's minions or distract Ladybug.”
Marinette felt her blood boiling. Her temples throbbing, she scrolled down to read the replies. And when she did, she almost wanted to smash the phone into two. Because there were at least twenty people who seemed to agree with that person.
“How many battles does Chat Noir even fight in? On Ladybug’s side, I mean.” “I wonder what loser is under that silly leather suit.” “He thinks he looks cool but the stupid bell is such a ridiculous accessory.”
With every word she read, her fist clenched tighter. And when she read a comment that said “Ladybug would be much better by herself without that stupid cat”, that was it for her. She hurled the phone away (luckily it landed on the carpet) and rose to her feet with an oath. “How dare they?” she hissed through clenched teeth. “Who do these people think they are? I can very well decide who I want to be my partner and I want none of their opinions! And hiding behind fake usernames ha! I swear I'm going to track them down and-"
“Are they really wrong though?” Adrien’s little voice cut her off in the middle of her rant. Marinette turned to look at him. He had his knees pulled up to his face and was trying his best to curl up into himself. It was then that she noticed that his ring was not on his finger. Which explains why Plagg wasn’t with Adrien before I came, Marinette thought.
Her heart bled for this poor boy; she couldn't even begin to imagine the hell he was going through.
“Oh kitty,” she whispered, plopping down onto the couch and wrapping her arms around him, pulling him close. At first Adrien tried to resist, but then he gave in. He broke down utterly. All his defenses completely gave way as Ladybug rested his head on her bosom as she placed one hand on the side of his head and the other around him. He wrapped his arms around her waist and held on as tight as he could. They stayed like that for a while, Marinette holding on to this boy crying his heart out.
Marinette was aware that Adrien had grown up with severe self-esteem issues. All his life, he had been made to believe that he wasn't good enough. Being Chat Noir had been his only escape, but now people were attacking Chat as well.
After a while, she loosened the embrace only slightly, and began to rub soothing circles on his back. “You know,” came her voice, “how much you mean to me, and how much I need you.”
Adrien sighed. “That's because you're blinded by your lo-" He checked himself. “By your trust in me. But maybe you really would be better off with any other partner. Or any other Chat Noir.”
“No, Adrien,” Ladybug tightened her hold on him, “no one will ever be you. You are my partner, my Chat Noir.”
My Chat Noir.
Marinette had never realised how beautiful those words felt on her lips.
“I know you do all of that only to protect me. If it were not for you, then I- I don't know what would have happened to me,” Ladybug whispered.
“Please don't say things like that. I cannot imagine you not being there.”
“And I cannot imagine you not being there. Ladybug is nothing without you. Neither is Marinette.”
“You-you really think like that?”
“Yes, I do. And that is the truth,” Marinette spoke lovingly. “I need you, Adrien.”
At those words, Adrien broke down into a fresh bout of tears. Shaking uncontrollably, he clutched onto Ladybug and he wept like a baby.
This was not the first time she was seeing Adrien like this. But it made her heart bleed every time he broke down. Here was this pure kind soul, who deserved all the happiness in the world, but why did he have to be the one to suffer?
Gradually, she felt his breathing calm down. “Princess,” Adrien mewed.
“Yes?” Ladybug whispered back, not loosening her hold on Adrien.
“Can you- can you detransform?” he asked in a little voice. “Please? I really want to...” The rest of his sentence dissolved into an inaudible murmur.
“What was that, kitty? I didn't catch the last bit.”
Adrien leaned his head back a little to look at her. Marinette noticed that his expression was still troubled. He ran his hand down her arm, sending a strange shiver through her spine. And then he looked straight into her eyes.
“I want to feel your skin on mine.”
A fierce blush rose to Ladybug’s cheeks. Did Adrien really just say that?
“Adrien, I-"
Adrien put a finger to her lips to shush her. “Please Marinette.”
Was he out of his mind? What was he trying to do? He knew very well that they had agreed to keep things strictly platonic between them! Then why was he suddenly asking for something that would clearly break down all the walls between them?
No, she was definitely overthinking this. There wasn't anything wrong about what Adrien was asking for! It must be unsettling for him to feel her suit under his hands; she had felt the same way sometimes before. There was nothing wrong with a little bit of a friendly touch! And that's precisely what he was asking for, right?
It was just she was getting a little too carried away by her emotions. But right now, Adrien was in pain. Her best friend, her partner was suffering, and all he was asking for was to be comforted. He might not be in his proper senses right now, but that doesn't mean that she wasn't. She knew where to stop.
“Tikki, spots off.”
When the pink light of detransformation came over her, Adrien did not flinch nor closed his eyes. He kept staring at her with the fascination of staring at fire. But strangely, the fire seemed to be in his eyes.
Marinette looked at Tikki and subtly nodded at Adrien’s bare finger. Tikki nodded back and flew away silently. Marinette turned back to Adrien and smiled weakly. And that was all it took for him to reclaim his place in Marinette's arms.
Marinette unconsciously reclined back, so that she was leaning against the arm of the couch, and Adrien was lying on top of her. He did not seem to mind the change of position; rather it liked like he was more comfortable that way. He purred softly.
After a while, Adrien lifted his head to look at her. Marinette thought she saw a little desperation in his eyes. A little impatience. She didn't have to wonder for long, however, because his next words made it clear what he was thinking about.
“Can I kiss you?” Adrien whispered, stealing glances between her eyes and her lips.
What would she not have given to hear those words from him?
But this time, it was a no. She was not going to take advantage of Adrien like this. He was sad, he was weak, he was not in his senses, and it was her responsibility to stop him from doing anything that he would regret later on. No matter how tempting it could be. No matter how much it pained her to turn him down.
“We can’t, Adrien.”
“Why not, Marinette?” Adrien broke away from the embrace and sat up straighter.
“You know why.”
“No, like really,” Adrien went on, “What sense does it make? Here we are, two people absolutely perfect for each other, completely in love with each other,” Marinette’s eyes widened at how easily the words flowed from his lips, “and yet we can't be together? Why?”
Marinette was stunned into silence for a few seconds. And then she spoke in a little whisper, “You know we have to be responsible, for the sake of Paris.”
“But why does that mean that we have to be so unfair to ourselves?”
For once, Marinette could not find any reason to counter Adrien's words, no matter how hard she tried. And it certainly wasn't helping that Adrien was staring at her with that intense look in his eyes, begging, imploring.
Adrien placed a hand on the side of her face, and she instinctively leaned into his touch. “I promise you, what happens tonight will stay between the walls of my room. No one needs ever know.”
Could they ever stop if they started it?
But the next words Adrien spoke made the last of her resolve crumble down.
“I want you Marinette,” he spoke in a husky voice, one that sent chills through her body.
“I want you too, Adrien.”
Wait, did she just say that out loud?
“Then nothing can stop us,” Adrien growled, before crashing his lips into hers with a burning passion.
Neither knew how long the kiss lasted or how things accelerated from there. It was only when an incessant ringing on Marinette’s phone woke her up that she realised that she had fallen asleep for more than two hours. Groggily opening one eye, she saw that Nino was calling her. As soon as she received the call he started shouting in a worried voice.
“Where have you guys been? I have been calling both of your phones for the last two hours and I cannot reach any of you! Adrien texted that he would call me later but he didn't and now his phone is switched off! And you would receive neither my calls nor Alya's, do you have any idea how worried we have been?”
“Nino, I-" she began, but was interrupted by a grunt coming from her pillow. She looked up in confusion and realised her head had been resting on a bare chest.
Adrien's bare chest.
She sprung backward with a gasp.
“Marinette are you okay?” Nino's voice came through her phone.
“Ye-yes I am grand! Hey, I'll call you later okay, I-I fell asleep!”
“You fell asle-"
“MARINETTE DUPAIN-CHENG, ARE YOU SAYING YOU SLEPT WITH ADRIEN?”
“Alya, where did you come from?”
“I added her on conference call. But is that true? Did you guys sleep together?”
“I'll call you in a moment, okay?” Saying so, she hurriedly ended the call. There was a lot to process right now.
Apparently, she had fallen asleep with her head on Adrien’s chest, her left foot sprawled over his body. Adrien was topless, and his hair was a mess. Oh, and Marinette was only in her bra.
The good thing was both her jeans and Adrien's pajamas were intact. So, nothing happened, right?
And then Marinette began to remember what had happened. They had ended up making out on the couch, and then Adrien had carried her to his bed. Drunk on the heat of the moment, they had undressed (partially), and all the pent-up desires had taken over them as they had tried to touch and kiss every exposed part of the other's body that they could reach.
The talking had woken up Adrien, who was rubbing his eyes. When he removed his hands from his eyes and looked at Marinette, his face assumed an expression of surprise. But it quickly relaxed into a smile.
“Is it morning already?” he asked.
Marinette felt the situation was strangely domestic. And it made her feel all the more guilty and embarrassed.
“I- I am sorry about what happened,” she said, looking away.
“Oh no, you don't need to be sorry,” Adrien spoke up. “Unless,” his voice trailed away, “Marinette, do you regret doing this?”
Did she regret doing the one thing her love-struck heart had always wanted to do? “I- I don't.”
“Thanks for making me feel better, m’ lady,” he mumbled, but his sleepy voice was doing things to her brain.
“I- uh, I need to find Tikki,” she grabbed her shirt which was lying on the other side of the bed and turned to leave, when Adrien held her hand.
“Before you go, can I get one last kiss? I mean we don't have to, and I definitely am not asking you- mmph?”
The rest of his words remained unspoken as Marinette dove in for one long, passionate, hungry kiss.
When they finally let go of each other, Marinette rested her forehead on Adrien’s. “Chaton?”
“Mm-hm?”
“Please never think of leaving me, again,” she whispered. Adrien’s eyes widened as he felt her slowly pushing the ring onto his finger.
Plagg zoomed out and immediately went into a rant “HOW DARE Y-”

*sneaks in here* may we have some... Trav lore/fun facts?
Holy crud, I get to talk about Trav! (I’m so sorry my neglected void child)
Okay so, Trav was a very peculiar baby. They were driven by the survival instinct their whole life and that’s basically what drove them out of the Abyss through some unusual narrow paths and such. BUT, before all this... this baby took a good sip of the void lake. Out of their fighting instinct they may have eaten a tendril or two as well... It affected their memories and threw the mind into a kind of mess but they were sturdier then most of their siblings because of it.
Outside, they encounter mostly wild critters, from Deepnest, to Fungal Wastes, to Fog Canyon, through the Gardens onto the Greenpath. Travs climb there took several years, it was gradual since they weren’t sure where they were going or where they’ll pop out or in what they’ll run into and who they gonna chew on or fight next... so they had time to grow from things they ate and fought against.
This growth was stunted by Hornet at some point. She fought, much more skilled, damaged Trav to quite a degree and the poor vessel escaped a near death by hiding away into Greenpath. They couldn’t hunt much, they couldn’t move quick to escape enemies nor could they search for Soul to heal. Think of it as Ghost sitting in a safe spot for couple of years with a single mask left. (basically me too scared to progress through the area since I can easily die BUT GOTTA LOOK FOR THE BENCH OR I’LL CRY)
They eventually started moving about and hide in just about every tiny place possible to avoid trouble and such, having slow movement and reactions while having absolutely no knowledge of social cues and alike. A lot of time they spent regaining energy by sitting motionless and staring into nothing like no thoughts, head empty... so their coat got mossy and kind of bioactive.
Eventually, they saw Pim and came out. Pim, being the sweet friendly sibling they are, encouraged Trav to come with them. Silva freaked out about them a lot then but Yonna understood quickly their mental state is still that of a toddler so they both started treating Trav with more patience. The group slowly started teaching them basic stuff, from hugs to words and their meanings but Trav stuck to Pim, as they understood body language the best.
Then they found some totems in the Gardens and one, good healing with Focus later, Trav was more or less themselves again. They turned swift and... battle friendly. Luckily, Pim made them hold back a bit stay close without falling into too much trouble. As the group met up with Rham, the big roach started helping Trav learn less nail and more physical moves for the fight, since Trav’s nail usage was more club like rather than blade like. Trav wanted to become stronger and loved to spar with a sturdy fighter like Rham.
Trav also stayed behind when Silva had her whole “I must save miners from Radiance” arc, making sure she was alright while others left for the coli. Funny enough, when Silva locked her memories, Yonna and others had gain her trust as “strangers” and ask her to go to sleep but Trav took the chance while Silva was out of the room and knocked her out physically, pissing everyone off but solving the issue in two seconds... (I still laugh at this moment to this day)
More or less, everything was fine while they were with a group for a good portion of the time, just sort of backing everyone up in a fight and clearing paths from small infected critters... until Trav fought Trail at the mines, lost and almost got killed while also failing to protect Pim who got kidnapped. They were like depressed puppy for a bit but thanks to their ability to sense other siblings close by, they managed to locate and save Pim from Zeeke’s clutches... and then Trail stayed with them.
Trail and Trav... had a terrible start to begin with. Trail’s guilt wasn’t helping her but Trav also got too nosy, picking on Trail and even would turn territorial of aggressive at her at times (which Pim would resolve because they can’t say no to Pim). They did started cooling off and getting a better understanding of each other though.
However, Trav is hitting something like “puberty” (not really but I guess it resembles it), starting to pick up growth even more now. They turned super energetic and kind of pushy so the group decided for Trav to go on with Mugo on his hunting business and let out some steam there while they head for the coli, basically splitting Trail and Trav for good measure.
Guess who’s currently crying about trying to keep the critters alive and unhurt while also not chasing them away from the traps! :D
Anyway, Trav is maturing, some of the void that they consumed started to “activate” but is basically surfacing out due to Trav being the healthiest AND, what’s important, more mentally focused and understanding since they’re getting a grip of patience and socilizing. (Primrose even warns the girls and Trav in Taka’s Drop arc not to let Trav consume more void)
So that void is going slowly to their external look, from how the mandibles work and how buff they look to the fuzzy void “beard” they’re sporting now!

yo te haré mía (cnco) - ch12
Chapter 12
Words: 4,100+
Warnings: language and angst, no smut this time.
A/N: as always, i’m sorry it took so long, but my life has been a shitshow. if you still want to read, here it is.
chapter 11 is here if you need to catch up.
-
The hospital staff had woken her up several times to breastfeed their still nameless baby. Nurses were used to cases of postpartum depression but this was something else entirely. This was a mother so numb and empty it was impossible to bring her out of that haze. This was a family in such distress that none were able to look the others in the eye. This was a newborn baby girl so unsettled by the unwelcoming environment that she could not settle herself and constantly fussed. The nurses could tell that the arrival of this new visitor, unbothered by their insistence to stop and leave the patients in peace, would do nothing to improve the situation. Isa was taking the common advice, to sleep when the baby slept, but the feel of someone’s eyes boring into her with such fire was enough to rouse her. “Clara,” she gasped, sitting up quickly but bending over sharply due to the pain. She sat on the bench by the hospital room window, ever the crisp, clean look of the manager ready to take care of business. “Don’t bother getting up,” she replied, eyes scanning over the woman in the hospital bed before her. Clara’s ever-present smile was gone, glaring with venom and her tone snide. “I won’t be here long.” Isa, overwhelmed and weak, shrunk back against the starched sheets and avoided the piercing stare aimed in her direction. She attempted to speak but the words died on the tip of her dry tongue. Clara snarled, “Do you have any idea how bad things have become outside of these four walls?” The truth was she didn’t. She knew just based on Christopher’s text and the fact that no one would dare mention Zabdiel’s name in the room meant that all manner of chaos and disaster had unfolded. But here it had just been her and the newborn baby girl; no thought had been given to the hurricane outside of their shelter. “You’ve broken them, Isabella,” she hissed. “They’re all in pieces because of you. You and your selfishness.” Clara was generally soft and smiling, but such biting words and harsh tone had never been directed at Isa before. But she knew she deserved all of it. More than what she was getting. This unsettling interaction was bound to be just the tip of the iceberg. Isa gnawed at her lower lip. “Clara, I-” “Oh, shut the fuck up, Isa,” Clara spat with a roll of her eyes and her mouth in a disgusted snarl. “I don’t want to hear you even try to talk right now. You destroyed my boys. All of them. Not only are Zabdiel and Christopher completely shattered, but Richard and Erick can’t even pick up the pieces. Joel has enough on his plate and now his band is at each other’s throats. It’s disgusting. And all because you wanted to fuck around-” Isa’s eyes were welling with tears that whatever pride she had intact wouldn’t allow her to cry. “Clara, I fell-“ “-In love,” she interrupted with a roll of her eyes, “Con los dos hombres a la misma vez, y toda esa mierda. You know I don’t believe that shit for a minute.” She scoffed, still scanning her over with her sharp glare. “I believe you have Chris giving you heart eyes while you’ve still got Zabdi’s ring on your finger and you were like,” she shrugged dramatically, waving her hand away in the air, ”’You know what? I’m just gonna go for it. What they don’t know won’t hurt them.’ Didn’t turn out that way and now you’re sorry for it. You’re not sorry for what you did. You’re sorry you got caught and can’t carry on going behind people’s backs.” Isa couldn’t bring herself to admit the truth that laced Clara’s words, calling out in her mind to the baby to please wake up, cry, save her. And in that moment, realizing she was looking from salvation from a newborn, she knew she had to take the weight of this responsibility. She'd done wrong and she had to sit here now and deal with the consequences, no matter how ugly. “I know I was wrong, Clara,” she murmured. “I don’t know how to make it right.” “You fucking can’t,” she seethed. “But you’re goddamn well gonna put on a happy face and fucking try. The press is going to eat this up. I’m trying to talk the boys down from the ledge of breaking up the band. They’re all in shambles right now. Because of you. So no matter what road this goes down, you put on a smile and you do what Zabdiel wants you to do. You fucking owe him that much.” Nothing more needed to be said. Clara had noted her piece and Isabella had no right to contest. After an overly long moment of silence, Clara huffed grabbed her purse before walking out the door. So in a hurry, she barely saw Zabdiel before running into his chest. The man was allowing his normally clean face to prickle with stubble, the bags under his eyes were darkening, and he slouched with a lack of energy his manager had rarely seen in him. “Que fue?” he asked after a moment, his voice hoarse from lack of use. Both restless, they could only continue her path down the hallway rather than sit and discuss. She heaved out a heavy sigh. “Pollito, I didn’t speak to her long. I know you don’t want to right now, but eventually you have to. Even if it’s only to tell her to fuck off and drop dead.” He nodded. “I’m planning the words. Pero… dime que fue, Clara.” She leaned her back against the exit door and looked up at him, cupping his cheek gingerly. "You know I told you that you have to do this delicately, for the sake of your band and your career and your image in the media, we have to handle this in the correct way. Being on your team, I’m going to tell you that now that you’ve released all that anger that you need to try to maintain your calm and your sanity.” His gaze fell to his sneakers, skidding them on the sterile tile just to make idle noise. “I’m trying. I know.” Clara bit her lip with force, unable to stomach seeing the man that had become like a little brother so distraught. She clasped her hand on his shoulder and that jarred him enough to turn his attention directly back to her. “But as your friend, I’m telling you to get a lawyer.” - Chris drummed his fingertips lightly over the stitches on his bottom lip and winced at the instant pain. “And that’s why I told you to be easy on them,” the nurse chirped back as Chris shrugged his shirt on over his bandaged chest. “They’ll heal, but you have to be gentle.” “Yes, sorry,” he repeated, tucking his hand into his jacket pocket to resist the temptation of swiping his finger up over his mouth again. He tried to focus on her instructions as she shuffled his paper file and jotted down her last notes, ignoring that Richard had slipped quietly into the room. “Now the broken ribs,” she continued, “will take a little time to heal. You're definitely going to be sore, but they’re pretty clean fractures so there’s nothing much that can be done for them. It’s going to take a month or two to be back to normal. Just easy on the lifting and choreography for a bit, okay?” He nodded in understanding but Richard scoffed. No words needed to be said for Chris to immediately know what was underlying - who knew if there would ever even be another rehearsal? She disposed of the excess scraps of bandage in the trash and the tools used to stitch his lip into the biohazard box. “Alright then, Mr. Velez, you’re all set. I just need to get the doctor to sign your discharge paperwork and I’ll give you the prescription for pain. Hang tight here for a few minutes and we’ll get you out of here.” Richard didn’t falter from his position as she left, leaning against the wall with his arms across his chest, his eyes transfixed on the sewn sections of his friend’s lip. The bruising around his eye and the bandages around his torso weren’t as prevalent as the swelling and the obvious cut to his face. “How you feeling?” Chris was silent, such a rare occurrence that Richard didn’t know how to proceed, aside from confronting the issue head on. “What are you gonna do about this, man?” Christopher could do nothing but stare at the speckled white and black tiles of the floor. Wanting this to never come to light and now having it erupt so violently and unexpectedly, he wasn’t prepared to deal with the downfall. And everyone around him he cared about was a casualty. Richard huffed and took a wandering step over towards him, his arms still a crossed protective shield over his chest. “Zabdiel is talking about being out. Figured out that Erick knew and doesn’t trust a damn one of us, thinking that we knew and didn’t tell him.” Chris toyed with a stray string on the hem of his shirt to occupy his idle fingers with distraction. Richard nearly growled. “You gonna even speak to me? I might be the only one still willing to hear your side on this and you’re shutting me out?” Chris’ normally loud and boisterous voice was quiet and weak from lack of use. “I don’t know what I can say.” “Not much, cabrón,” Richard scoffed again. “You slept with Isa, man. Her and Zab are married, bro, and you’ve been sleeping with her. How you gonna do that to him, man?” His tense fingers ripped the string from the hemline. “I fell in love with her, hermano. I don’t know… I know it hurt people… But how can I be sorry for falling in love?” He slid his palm down from his forehead to his chin. “Chris, you fucking lied to everybody, man. Everybody. Your best friends. How any of us supposed to trust you again? With anything?” Chris could only answer with silence, so Richard supplied his own. “They won’t. None of us can. And now it affects everything we do with the band going forward. If Zabdiel even still wants to be a part of the band. He had Clara looking over his fucking contract, man. He wants out and away from you. That changes the band, the media, the fans, everything in all of our worlds are gonna change because you wanted to get your dick wet in somebody else’s bitch.” “Hey, don’t talk about her like that,” he growled lowly. Richard roared in response. “That’s all she is if she fucked you both over like this. She fucked everyone over. The band, her family, our families, our management, our fans, everyone.” Chris gulped deeply. It was true. Their uniting was the drop in the water, and they had forgotten in their effort to hide their secret just how far the resulting ripples could reach. Richard shrugged unapologetically. “I have no other words for her.” Christopher gnawed on his lower lip. “It’s not on her. It’s on me.” “Two to tango, man,” he barked back, frustrated at the impasse of the conversation and walking to the door to leave. “You can’t take all the responsibility just to take the focus off her. You both did it. And now you both have to pay the price for it.” Chris shifted on the edge of the seat and scuffed his sneakers on the sterile checkerboard tile beneath his feet. The fantasy of this staying a secret was only that - a fantasy. The reality was that this discovery was inevitable. It was his debt to settle, but it might be more than he could possibly ever pay. - Kaja hadn’t understood what in Joel snapped that night but now at home where they should be the most comfortable, it was like she wasn’t looking at the man she knew. He was somewhere distant from her now, absorbed in the scrolling of TMZ on his laptop screen. He couldn’t imagine where all the detail and quotes were coming from. There were enough people in the club for word to have now spread that two members of CNCO had fought to the point that police and emergency medical services responded. Conflicting witnesses had stated it was Christopher and Richard, then Richard and Zabdiel, then Erick and Joel. They were citing a ‘source close to the group’ that Chris had admitted to an affair with a married woman that had been carrying on for years. Reports said the source might be reveal more as the story progresses, which Joel had learned by this point meant that whoever was leaking the information was only going to give it to the publishers if they offered more money but they wanted to get the base of the story out while it was hot. “Amor?” Kaja asked, sitting atop the couch cushion beside him. “Hmm?” Joel groaned, not moving his eyes from the focus of the article. The circles of photos scattered throughout now showed snapshots of Krista from when her hair had once had been dyed a rose gold rather than her current bleach blonde, captions asking how this must be destroying her and how she has to feel after the betrayal. Betrayal. The word sat so heavily in his mind, an uncomfortable weight and nausea in his stomach that he hadn’t felt since he was a child. He’d never been open to the idea of love growing up. Seeing his father shatter his mother over and over, they split at the seams until eventually the family was living two separate lives. And that in turn had shattered him. He had no belief or trust that this forever and always that people idolized was a possibility. People fell together only to fall apart. But he saw Isa and Zabdiel. He was there to witness how they met, lost themselves in each other, and began finding so much in common with each other that they melted together as one. They had the wedding, the family, the happily ever after that everyone sought. And now that was shattering the same way. He gnawed on his lower lip, wrinkling his nose with confusion and stress, having tuned out his fiancé’s questions. It took him a moment to shake himself back to reality. “What?” She traced her fingertips up and down the length of his forearm, trying to soothe him. “What’s wrong, babe? I know this has shaken you up. I just want to know what I can do to help.” He pulled his arm back, as if needing to type but just refreshing the webpage. Kaja tilted her head to the side, shock and frustration taking over her sweet disposition. “Joel. I’m trying to be there for you. I get if you don’t want to talk, but there’s no need for you to treat me like this.” His stare didn’t waver from the screen. “I’m not treating you like anything, Kaj,” he said in a tone so even that it unnerved her. She began gently, “Bab-“ but was quickly interrupted. “It’s fine,” he spat. “I’m just trying to wrap my head around the fact that Clara basically wants us to step up and act chill and natural to be damage control for something I played no part in. At the same time, I’m trying to figure out how many times I’ve been lied to by the people I’ve looked at as my second family. How the fuck am I supposed to function when everything I’ve known is a lie?” She reached for his hand but he immediately recoiled. Nevertheless, she attempted again. “Baby. I know this disenchants a lot for you, but what you need right now is to rely on what you have around you.” He scoffed. “And what do I have? My band was my brothers, I can’t trust them. My actual brothers? They’ve seen this happen before, they already think I’m foolish.” She now leaned back from her proximity to him. “Foolish for what?” He slammed his laptop shut and stood up. “For trying to make the happy ending happen when that’s nothing but a fantasy.” Kaja began stammering, his words stinging harder than a slap to the face. “How can you say that? How do you see what’s happened to them and not think what we have is real?” He pushed himself up from the couch, stalking off into the kitchen and swiping a Pepsi can off of the shelf. “We all get wound up with the fairy tale ideas we learn from Disney movies as kids, but we all need to grow the hell up and realize that it isn’t reality. It’s bullshit.” Kaja shut her eyes, wincing in pain from the lashing of his words. “Baby. Please just take a breath and talk to me. I mean… Yeah, I get this is jarring, but you want to marry me. We’re having a family.” “Yeah, well,” he seethed after a long swig from the can, “we all make mistakes, don’t we?” Her voice raised, wanting nothing more than to shake sense into him and have him see reason. “So, what? Now that you see somebody else’s relationship falling apart, you decide you want to sabotage ours?” “It’s not just them, Kaja,” he growled. “It’s everyone I’ve ever known. It doesn’t matter how hard you try at something or how long you work at it. I don’t know why I’m putting so much effort into something that is only going to inevitably fall apart.” “Joel, just because that happened to them doesn’t mean it’ll happen to us. You’re not making any sense, baby,” she implored. “No, believe me, baby,” he laughed weakly, “I’m thinking clearly for the first time in a long time.” She didn’t know whether to give in to the desire to scream or burst into hysterical tears. “Joel, you’re confused and upset, I get it. But why punish me when I haven’t done anything to you?” He wanted to throw something. He wanted to slam, to break, to shatter, and would settle for doing it to something else. Without realizing, the destruction he was doing was simply more emotional than physical damage. But he settled for picking up his car keys as he stormed to the door, turning to scream back at her. “Right now, I don’t trust fucking anyone, and I need a break from this. From the band, from the public, and from whatever we are. I’m done.” - Isa opened her eyes again, having nodded off again from the sheer physical exhaustion. The medication to ease her discomfort was only superficial. Aside from her body still in recovery, the delivery room still felt too sterile, too foreign to truly be comfortable. The only thing that made it feel like home was her newborn baby, now resting quietly in the clear containment bassinet in the corner. It didn’t take long for her to notice the slight movement of the shadowed form in the corner by the window. She was sure she should be the first to speak, but her tongue couldn’t form any words. “You’ve lied to me enough. I deserve the truth now,” Zabdiel began, still staring at the bassinet and avoiding her eyes at all costs, one leg propped up on his windowsill seat and one arm wrapped about his leg. “I’m going to ask you questions and you’re going to be honest for once. La verdad entera.” “Zabdiel,” she pleaded weakly, as if begging to avoid the confrontation, but no longer had the strength in her to fight. “Amor.” “How long?” he said flatly. “Please, Zabdiel,” she whispered. He let out a sarcastic laugh. “Isabella, we have to talk about it. It’s either here alone right now or in a more public venue later. Your choice.” Her only answer was the slow sigh she let out, acquiescing to his insistence. Zabdiel idly tapped his fingertips against his bent knee. “How long has this been happening? You and him?” Isa gulped, the truth about to spill out tasting like vinegar on her tongue. He chuckled softly, spitefully. “You ever hear from your parents when you were a child, Isabella, that ripping the band-aid off quickly is easier and less painful?” As his fingers drummed on his lap, she found her own hand toying with her locket, the memory of their union dancing in her hand. She began slowly, “After Joaquin was born. When you started going to the studio more, I felt lonely, and -“ “I asked you a simple question. I didn’t ask for your excuses too,” he asserted lowly. His aggression so rare, she was instantly silenced. “So how many times do you think you had to lie to me to do something with him?” She gnawed on her lip, her eyes welling with tears. She couldn’t begin to fathom the questions that were going through his mind, how she would be questioning herself if the situation were reversed. “Don’t take your time sugar-coating it, Isabella. Just spit out the first thing that comes to mind.” He turned to look at her, and his face immediately cringed with venom on disgust. And in that moment, how she would have given anything to even have him call her the Izzy nickname that she detested rather than have him force such distance with his words. “I really don’t know.” “Too many to count. I get it,” he spat. “So you have no way of knowing if the baby is mine or not?” Isa shook her head sadly and shut her eyes tight but couldn’t get a word out. He ran his hand down his face, frustrated and drained, but the anger bubbled up again. “Carajo, puta, contéstame cuando te hablo.” She choked as she tried to speak. “She’s yours, Zabdiel, te lo juro.” “Y Joaquin?” “Si, Zabdiel, he’s yours, y ya tu lo sabes,” she implored. His head whipped around and his eyes blazed. “Yo no sé nada. I still don’t know if I can believe that if every other word you’ve said to me our entire time together has been a lie. So forgive me if I can’t take your word.” She now was trying to avoid the fire and venom in his gaze, but for the fleeting moment that they met she saw that his eyes were also full with tears he was too proud to let fall. "So did you ever care about me at all or was it just easier to marry me when you were having a baby?” “Zabdiel, you know I love you,” she murmured. “I don’t know a goddamn thing,” he roared, jolting upright and leaning over the bottom of the bed. “If you loved me or you ever did, you wouldn’t have done this to me. Ever.” He braced himself with his white-knuckled hands on the rails at the bottom, willing himself to maintain his composure. A tear passed over her eyelid and cascaded down her cheek. “Zabdiel. I’m sorry.” He grit his teeth. “You betrayed me. I trusted you with my life any my heart and my family. The fact that you did such a thing with a man I considered my brother… I don’t know how to forgive.” She nodded in understanding, sucking on her lower lip, in no position to argue. “It’s clear you’re in love with someone else. And I’m not fighting. If you really loved me, you never would have done anything with him in the first place.” His stare fell now to the newborn, now stirring from sleep with the loud voices. “Does she have a name yet?” Isa nodded again, her mouth too dry to get it out at first. “Si... Xiomara Noemi… I know we’d talked about that one for a girl… “ Zabdiel’s expression softened as he studied her, his defenses still up too high to allow for any affection. She explained, “They asked for the birth certificate to be done, so I had to write in what we had decided. I only need your signature on it.” He turned back to her. “Right now,” he snarled, “we do nothing until we’re sure she’s mine. Then we can discuss custody.” No other words needed to be exchanged. That was enough for Isa. She knew with that there would be no resolution. “Zabdi… mi vida, I am sorry.” Zabdiel shrugged, his face now void of any emotions it once held, no anger and no pain. “It’s fine, Isabella. It’s over. And besides, it’s not like I’ve been faithful to you either. The difference is I didn’t bring a child into it.” He walked to the door and gave a soft sarcastic smile back over his shoulder before walking out of the room and down the hall.

Who did you last get into a big argument with? Mehh.
Do you have a best friend to lean on? I have my family.
What was the weather like today? It’s supposed to be in the mid 80s today.
Would you ever want to swim with the sharks? Uh, no???
Do you drink lots of water? No. :/ I only get like 2-3, sometimes 4, glasses in a day.
Are you dating the last person you kissed on the lips? No.
Did you get a full 8 hours of sleep last night? I got close to 6.
How many cousins in total do you have? I have too many to count.
Have you ever held hands with anyone? Yeah.
What was the worst feeling you last felt? It ended up being a misunderstanding, but it made me feel horrible. I don’t want to get into it.
Interested in anyone at the moment? No.
Do you trust all of your friends? I don’t have any friends. Lmao. <<<
Have you held hands with anybody in the past week? No.
Are you afraid of falling in love? Yeah. The last two times sure didn’t work out well. I also worry that I’ll never have the opportunity again. Like I missed my chance or something.
What do you currently hear right now? An ASMR video.
When was the last time you talked to one of your best friends? I talked to my mom last night before she went to bed.
Have you ever ridden a horse? I’ve been led around on a pony as a kid. <<<
What are you looking forward to in the next month? Cooler weather and Halloween.
Are you anything like you were at this point last year? Unfortunately.
Are you wearing jeans right now? No. It’s actually been a couple years since I’ve worn jeans.
Have you lost contact with someone you wish you didn't? Yes.
Are you a patient person? No. :/
How tall are you? Like, 5′4.
Do you secretly love someone? No.
Last reason why you were grounded? I was like 12 and was caught lying about taking my medication. My mom found my stash behind my bed. :X It was a necessary medicine for me to take, so she was concerned about that, but she was also disappointed in me for lying to her for so long. That definitely stung, I felt bad that I lied and that she couldn’t trust me to an extent for awhile. I lost computer privileges for a couple weeks and had to earn back her trust, which meant she had to watch me take my medicine. It was so stupid of me to not take it, but I hated it because of some side effects (nothing serious of course or else I wouldn’t have had to keep taking it, but stuff like dry mouth and some other minor ones).
Do you have a tattoo? Nope.
Last thing you ate? Ramen.
Are you happy right now? No.
When is your birthday? July 28th.
What did you wear today? Black leggings and a black shirt.
Do you miss having a girlfriend/boyfriend? I’ve never had a serious boyfriend, but yeah I miss having someone I was interested in/had feelings for/talking to. It feels like forever since I’ve had that.
Would you rather be called 'baby' or 'honey?' I’m not a huge fan of either to be honest. I like cute names for each other, but I’d prefer something different like our own nicknames that we made up for each other.
Is there anything you wish you could say to an ex? No. It’s been several years now, there’s nothing to say.
Do you sleep with a fan on? Yeah. During the summer I have 3 fans on at all times--one is a ceiling fan and the other 2 are regular fans.
