Chris took a long, deep breath in and let it out in a huff, neither relaxing his shoulders nor opening his eyes as they continued to climb up and up and up towards the mountain's summit. "It's not heights, for your information," he said, his tone scrambling desperately for 'jovial' or 'just kidding' or plain old 'hi-larious' but failing in every possible way, "it's falling, forever, and ever, and ever, and ever, until suddenly - POW - there's the ground again!"

reading a book series right now (enjoying it thoroughly) and there are some spicy scenes ✨ and in the first book, it was like two peppers spice. something about contracts. second book was a little bit more, and this third book the author was like "okay, in for penny, in for a pound" and put their WHOLE ass into it. it's an exquisite enemies to lovers.

So lost in her work, Sera had to admit she hadn't noticed just how dark it'd gotten - The storage shed she'd been organizing with his help had been rather dim inside to start with, and with the sun starting to set, she'd not thought about lights until the sound of Sephiroth's voice sounded from outside. Last she'd checked, it's just barely started setting... Had she been so busy she just hadn't noticed how fast time had passed? Had he?

A light shake of her head rid herself of the thought. No - They both could get lost in something, sure, but it was also pretty commonplace for one of them to be aware of things the other had spaced out; if she wasn't paying attention to the time, it was likely he had been, if only to keep her from getting too lost in her tasks. There was no possible way she'd been that distracted for that long, the blonde reasoned with herself, brushing a few strands of hair from her face in her turn to step back outside. They wouldn't both be that distracted-

Except they could've been, she discovered a second later, slow blinks doing nothing to change the fact the light of early evening had dimmed considerably. How strange... The clutter of trees around the shed made it impossible to see the sky, to boot, and she'd left her phone in the house, a little further uphill from the shed - Time was a mystery to her, and, with a glance up to her taller companion, she let a sheepish smile cross her lips. "You... Don't happen to have your phone on you, do you...? I don't think we've been that busy, but..."

Rain, maybe? An eclipse? If it wasn't work keeping them so busy they'd lost track of time, there had to be another reason for it - Maybe Shinra had learned how to take control of the sun and turn it off, a thought quickly shoved aside to share over dinner later. Ridiculous as it was to her, she had a feeling it might make him at least smile, and that was more than enough for her, quick hands making short work of gathering up her hair and twisting it up into a tight bun, ends tucked in and underneath to keep it in place.

"I don't remember hearing about any storms coming... The trees are so thick over here though, I can barely see anything past them. You... Don't think the sun turned itself off somehow, do you?"

Sera paused, cheeks flushing a pale shade of pink. When was it his company had gotten to be so comfortable again she'd just started blurting whatever popped into her head before she could even think about it-?

can we just appreciate vi here?? i genuinely appreciate her softness this season and i'm seriously impressed with how she does her absolute best to speak up for her people to be seen as human while also trying to be a gentle voice of reason as caitlyn navigates through her grief. this makes the scene in episode three all the more heartbreaking to me as she'll raise her walls back up after their promise is broken.

the gentle caressing of caitlyn's face to wipe her tear as she leans into the touch,, even the way she tells her that they'll get the mission done together and caitlyn's shy smile in return,, vi is truly caitlyn's safe space in return for caitlyn being hers in season one and i adore this dynamic between them. honestly, this is my main reason for headcanoning them as flips with alternating leans. there's no one else in the series besides jayce that caitlyn trusts enough to be vulnerable with.

i was already sold on cg! vi a long time ago but this clip also gives off the vibes of a regressor doing their best to reassure and lift their cg's spirits,, i adore these tender moments between them and i truly hope their reunion is all the sweeter because of it (after vi receives a heartfelt and meaningful apology from caitlyn of course).

At long last: either an alternate explanation for or continuation of my prior comic regarding how Bill was ABSOLUTELY naked in Ford's karaoke night drawing. (Because errors in art do not exist. Artists do not make mistakes. So if you see any in this comic, No You Do Not.)

I'm not really clear on exactly when Bill started throwing his desperation book at Ford just like a needy ex do, but I find it extremely funny to imagine it happening literally the day of or after the makeshift funeral. Bill just gets this weird sense of 'Ford is taking steps to move on' and CANNOT FUCKING ABIDE.

I hope you enjoy all the goofy things I added to each page of Bill's sad spieling. (Everything SHOULD be readable so long as you view the full size, but I have added basically this whole little fanfic in the image descriptions, LMAO, which lays out all the little written notes and such.) Also don't ask how Bill managed to sneak that vampire pen in there. I have no idea, and honestly? I don't wanna know.

Yes, its name is just 'love' backwards. No, I will not be taking any feedback on this. Yes, EV-01 was only ever assigned to Bill's case due to the Theraprism being desperate to make some progress in rehabilitating him. No, it did not work anywhere close to staff's expectations - Bill didn't even appreciate EV-01's matching fondness for bowties! (He claimed the fondness to be "cultural appropriation" and insisted he'd been traumatized by it.)
