Chapter 5 "In the castle of the beautiful Queen"

• Schoenheit's piercing gaze and sympathetic to Felmier said what was needed clearly. You can wave your deserved rest with a white handkerchief,  like a boat sailing away into the distance. The eccentric hunter's broad smile confirmed all fears: escape wasn`t an option.• You looked more than just shabby, judging by the reactions of the head of Pomefiore, his vice-leader, and standing near Epel. Yes, you were affected by spartan training in Heartslabyul, household chores in Savannaclaw, express training “How to become a waiter” in Octavinelle and sleepless Arabian nights in Scarabia, but it isn`t that bad, right? Or is it?..

• If Epel was the "potato" of the Pomefiore field, then in your current state you didn`t even pull the role of the Scarecrow. However, by the end of their cohabitation, the state of affairs could have changed. Vil assured you of this and that's what you were afraid of.

• Firstly, you were handed a whole bunch of different things. Intuition suggested that all the colorful bottles are personal care products. The instructions for their use turned out to be longer than the list of items itself. To say that you remember at least a third of it is bold and stupid. Schoenheit wouldn't have believed it anyway.

• Fortunately for Felmie, he was assigned to you as an assistant. Finally, he will be able to breathe freely-... he wanted to say that duty of any student of Pomefiore dorm to provide assistance to those in need.

• So you got at the disposal of a friend with whom you could experience difficulties and sorrows. Epel took care of this. Although there is something he didn`t take into account: studies at Octavinelle weren`t in vain. Table etiquette flew off your teeth. You sleepily could have served the table according to all the rules. Checkmate, Mr. Schoenheit.

• However, you started celebrating victory early. You successfully closed one gestalt, but there was an insanely long list ahead. As you prepared the ingredients for the potion, you thought of a recipe for one bird poison. More precisely for crows. If the saying is correct, then the kind director sneezed in his office.

• A quiet laugh was heard from afar: someone clearly understood who the cupcakes carefully watered with the potion were intended for. Precisely, from the very first day you felt someone's eyes on you. Epel, who also noticed the surveillance, just put his hand on your shoulder and advised you to come to terms. As people say, whatever lets you sleep at night.

• After three days, you were ready to just lie on the ground and look in the direction of Ignihyde and Diasomnia. You wonder, will it be counted if you visit them mentally? Ortho, shining and flying over your head, effortlessly picked you up and pulled you towards the mirrors. Now, Epel was waving you with his handkerchief.

HC on theory of Leona’s childhood + Cheka relationship

·       Leona wasn’t loved

·       Not once has his mother, the queen, acknowledged him, praised him, or even told him that she loved him. Instead, she compared him to Farena, saying Leona lacked in this or lacked in that

·       He gets 100s in his studies, he’s strong enough to take on the captain of their royal army, but would his mother acknowledge his achievements? No, because in his mother eyes, if the younger brother were to lack in something, it would look as if Farena lacked in it too – and that can’t happen

·       The servants were the same. They wouldn’t even greet him properly despite him being the 2nd prince. Just a small nod or bow and back to whispering rumors and gossip about him saying “he’s spoiled”, “why is he so gloomy”, “is he even from the royal family”, and what not

·       He’s a prince, but he’s the 2nd prince. Not the first. And the frustration of wanting to be acknowledged as one of the royal family, a member of his family, and to be treated as equal to Farena, was suffocating

·       Did he hate Farena? Yes. But would he hurt him? No, never. Although he resented the fact that Farena couldn’t realize how much torture he was going though, Leona couldn’t hate Farena when he’s one of the two people to actually treat him as a person

·       Farena would be the one to play with him, hold his hand proudly when they secretly went out to town, skip classes with him – a trusted, loyal friend he always wanted

·       But the one to hold his whole heart was none other than their father. Their one and only father, the king, who acknowledges him. The one he admires and love without having to feel resentment

·       His father was the only one that would pick him up and hug him. The only one to praise him when others wouldn’t. The one to celebrate his birthday when others forget. The one who would see his skills, knowledge, and wisdom that jumps alarmingly over Farena’s. And his one and only hope to having satisfactory happiness

·       When their father brings Farena and Leona along his patrol through Afterglow Savanna, it was those times Leona would feel alive

·       Their father would often teach them about ruling a kingdom – what it meant to be king, how to behave as one, and Leona would soak the information into his head with bright eyes while Farena would yawn and just mention how he wanted go site seeing

·       To Farena and the others, seeing his majesty like this may not look majestic. But to Leona, it was times like this that makes him admire their father and to become like him

·       That one desire led Leona endure everything he had to put up through. To be like his father and show him how capable he was – that alone became his one dream and wish he wanted to come true

·       As long as he was able to make his dream come true, he could handle not being loved in the palace. Because, he’ll still be able to make his father proud of him while finally being treated as a member of the royal family.  Besides, if he gets the throne, Farena wouldn’t mind right? Farena had always complained about having to do work, so isn’t he doing his brother a favor? And even better, he and Farena could have, for once, a mutual loving relationship. One without Leona having to feel resentment towards him

·       But all those thoughts were destroyed when the king announced to the whole kingdom of Afterglow Savanna that Farena was going to be next in throne.

·       On the day their father announced it, Leona felt time had stopped. His mind couldn’t comprehend what their father had just said and continued to stay blank as his head continued to repeat that Farena had officially became the crown prince

·       He knew that Farena was going to be the crown prince but deep in his heart, he thought or at least hoped that their father would choose him as his heir

·       He thought that their father acknowledged him – his skills, his strength, his knowledge. Wasn’t that why he was praised? Wasn’t that why he was given affection? Wasn’t that why he’s their father son?

·       The feeling of betrayal started to overwhelm Leona, making him feel numb to the bones

·       The memories of the time he spent with his father, when he would tell his father how much he loved him and how he dreamt to become like him would resurface as Leona leaned on his bedroom door, trying to calm himself down

·       It only led to him sliding down to the ground and sob, questioning why their father had shown him affection, praise him for his hard work and achievement when in the end he hadn’t consider him to be a candidate for throne – a sign that their father didn’t acknowledge him as his son

·       Starting from there, things became worse

·       Whenever Leona went to town, this time without Farena since he became busy with his studies of becoming next king, teens and kids would come to bully him, throwing insults here and there while trying to beat him up and steal whatever jewelry or money he had on him

·       He wouldn’t mind at first, only avoiding the attacks, but when the fact that he wouldn’t be king is brought up, he already had beaten them up

·       Farena would be the one to catch Leona sneaking back into the palace, looking like he had rolled around on the ground. And every single time Farena catches him, he would question him what had happen

·       Every time Farena questioned Leona, Leona would just coldly answer “nothing, don’t worry about it” and walk away, sometimes trying to hide his limp when he walks

·       Leona tried to endure like usual, but it was more painful compared to before knowing that the acknowledgement he wanted would never be given

·       Yet he doesn’t do anything or plan to do something about it. His father still continued to praise him and take him along his walks and Farena still visited and played with him whenever he had time – as if the two of them didn’t break his heart on the day of the announcement

·       The conflict in his heart continued to rage, preventing him from completely resenting his brother and their father

·       That was until Leona achieved gaining his unique magic

·       Children from the alley were bullying him like usual when Leona secretly left the palace to find a place to blow off steam. And like usual, Leona would’ve just beaten them up and left without much thought

·       But the children started to talk about a different topic. They started mentioning something worse

·       Talks of the queen wanting to get rid of him but couldn’t, the king and crown prince having no choice but to be kind to him to keep the royal family image up, possibilities of him just being an adopted kid used to replace Farena if something were to happen to the now-crown prince and other comments emphasizing how he’ll never be loved or recognized as being part of the family bounces back and forth

·       The familiar feeling of despair, pain, and everything he had kept in started to crawl out of the pandora box

·       Those feelings caused him to become distracted, not realizing the attack that was coming behind him

·       Leona avoids it the last minute, but gets a deep scratch over his left eye in the expense of his life

·       The kids laugh more while the attacker clicks their tongue from their failed attempt

·       Leona finally loses it after seeing his own blood coming from the injury he was capable of blocking while listening to their mocks bounce as they attack him - kicking him here, punching him there, throwing – oh with a stone that’s new

·       Shut up, shut up, shut up, leave me alone, and more were filled in his head as he was on the ground trying to protect his injured eye from getting worse

·       A scream of “GO AWAY” was heard before all of a sudden large powerful gust of wind, dust, and sand enters the area

·       When Leona opens his right eye, the buildings that were once standing were gone while the kids and people were buried in sand

·       Fear and shock courses through his veins as Leona slowly realize what had just happened

·       Not knowing what to do, Leona quickly makes his way back to the palace while using a cloth lying on the ground to cover himself up so that no one would recognize him

·       Later that day, his father storms into Leona’s room while Leona, himself, was busy trying to patch himself since none of the servants would do it for him

·       It was Leona’s first time ever to be yelled by the king, who was blind from rage that the people were put into danger by Leona’s sudden outburst of magic and that their family’s image had crumpled, though not severely, but a bit

·       Leona tries to explain what had happen to him and that he didn’t know he had used unique magic, tears dripping down his cheeks while on his knees, tugging on his father’s clothes to get him to listen

·       When the king shoves Leona away from him, Leona’s head hits the ground and a pained “Ack!” escapes his lips

·       It’s only then the king realizes what he had done and notices Leona’s injuries on his body

·       Disbelief, disappointment, and sadness filled Leona’s heart as his head just repeats what had happen. That his own father, the one he still had thought acknowledged and loved him as his own family member, just shoved him and ignored his pleas

·       After a while, surprisingly enough, it was Leona who broke the silence with an apology

·       The king tries to stop Leona from apologizing, only to be silenced again, but this time by Leona’s blank eye and the scar that started form on the other

·       Worry and concern would then cover his father face, and tries to ask about what had happened

·       But Leona, wanting to have none of it, would answer with another apology and ask if he could rest since he had taken up “his highness valuable time” and “felt tired”

·       His father complies with it, although with reluctance, and leaves Leona’s room

·       He was surprised that Farena didn’t come see him, but in the same time knew that their father would’ve just told his brother the basics of what was going on. Either that or their mother would’ve just told Farena not to concern himself with his “unreliably use-less brother”

·       That night, the events that had happened replays in Leona’s  head as he just stared at the ceiling. Books of ancient text, law, history, and magic covered his whole room, while Leona couldn’t fall asleep

·       The familiar feeling of betrayal with the new found feeling of anger was all Leona felt that his father, the father he had trusted, the king he had admired and wished to become, was a liar. Liar, liar, liar.

·       The words those children had said started to become the truth to Leona as he continued to remember his father pushing him off without listening to his side of the story

·       He didn’t mean to use his unique magic. Heck he wasn’t aware that he was able to create one until he released it subconsciously as a form of self-defense. There weren’t even guards with him since he secretly left to just get some damn air from the stifling and stressful feeling he felt when in the palace

·       Ah… I can’t do this anymore. I hate you; I hate you; I hate you. I hate you all – were the thoughts Leona had as he finally succumbed to his misery of being the unloved, 2nd prince

·       All he wanted to was to be loved and acknowledged by his family and the people of the palace. Just like how they treated Farena, he wanted to be treated the same way. He wanted the respect the servants gave to Farena, the love given to Farena, the acknowledgement of his own achievement just like Farena!

·       He, too, had royal blood flowing in his body! Even the wet nurse that witnessed him being born from the queen herself was still here and saw the proof that he was born royal! So why the hell was he not being treated the same way!

·       The pandora box that was chained up was now completely unsealed as the feeling of revenge and hatred for everyone poured out into his heart

·       Slowly getting up, Leona made a vow. He will force everyone to acknowledge him by taking crown. Using any means, he will become the king. That way, there’s no choice but for everyone to accept that he’s part of the royal family and recognize his talents

·       Staring at one of the rules written in the book of laws, the perfect plan of achieving his new goal slowly comes together

·       A few days later, Farena visits Leona with concern and worry for while after he and the king found out about the whole story

·       Farena tries to mother Leona but each time he enters, Leona persuades him to leave and that he didn’t need to worry

·       “Farena, I’m fine. After reflecting my actions, I realize that I need to work harder to controlling myself, so don’t worry okay?”, “Don’t you have classes in etiquette right now? Don’t let me hold you up and quickly attend it. It would be if the crown prince was seen without knowing how to behave in a formal event you know.”, “Farena, I must be taking time from your schedule. You don’t need to visit since now I’m better than before”

·       And each time Leona said that, Farena couldn’t shake off the feeling that something was off when Leona smiled. His smile felt off but Farena couldn’t figure out why it felt off

·       When Farena started to reach the age for marriage consultation, every girl that was matched to him suddenly cancel their marriage agreement

·       What was more surprising was the fact that all the girls’ reason for cancelling their engagement with him was because they were able to find their “true love”

·       Leona would be grinning in his head seeing how his plan was successfully acted out as he comforted Farena who would stop by and talk about how the whole marriage thing was making him stressful

·       This continued to go on until Farena started to attend RSA. Knowing that RSA was an all-boys school, Leona knew that Farena wouldn’t be able to meet up with a girl, most of all, fall in love with one

·       During Farena’s absence, Leona continued to study and train himself, doing everything he could to secure the throne

·       He didn’t know how to feel now that the servants no longer mocks him with their gossip and the queen no long yells at him for lacking in something out of fear. He refuses to talk about his father

·       4 years pass and when Farena came home after graduating with his lover, Leona’s blood boils in rage from the fact his plan was starting to be shredded apart

·       He tries to break the lovers apart out of desperation, using whatever method he could use without going to the extremes as it would make it noticeable that he was the mastermind, but no matter what he did it never worked

·       Finally, the day came where Farena and his lover got married and took their rightful place at the throne

·       A year later, Cheka was born

·       Leona, at that point, had given up everything. His revenge, his desires – all of them were gone as he stayed in his room either napping or playing chess by himself. Classes? Who’s she? Never heard of her before

·       Leona wouldn’t even bother meet Cheka, doing whatever he can to avoid meeting the kid who ruined his plan to his own happiness – something he thought the couple should be thankful for since even he, himself, didn’t know if he would be able to control his anger once meeting the successor to the throne

·       Farena and his wife would sometimes force Leona to come out of his room, trying to get him to do something other than staying in his room, but Leona would end up slipping away with an excuse

·       The couple finally gets Leona to meet Cheka one day, after making a deal that they would leave him alone as long as he at least ate dinner with them. And to say Leona wasn’t amused when he met the child for the first time was the biggest understatement

·       Leona quickly ate his meal and got up to leave until he felt something tugging on his pants. Looking down, his eyes came in contact with large, doe-like caramel eyes filled with warmth, happiness, and affection

·       Disgust was what Leona felt first. Without even changing his blank expression, he lightly tries to pull his pants out of Cheka’s grasp but Cheka only grips on it harder while on the side, Cheka’s mother coos over how Cheka seems to like his uncle he met for the first time while Farena pokes Leona into spending sometime with the little prince. All which only made Leona angrier

·       When he heard soft whimpering coming out of Cheka after freeing himself from the child’s grip – okay like seriously, the kids what only 3 months old and already has a strong grip what have they’ve been feeding him, baby safe organic steroid? – Leona knew that he couldn’t win so ended up spending time with the family

·       During the whole time, Cheka wouldn’t leave Leona only. From crawling onto his back to tugging on his hair, Leona was stuck with a clinging child as Farena would sulk that Cheka liked him more than his own father and Cheka’s mother laughing on the side

·       When Cheka fell asleep, Leona tries to hand Cheka back to Farena and his wife, but Cheka’s mother asks (more like force) Leona to carrying Cheka back to his cradle while holding Farena back of wanting to “hold his cute little son”

·       As Leona laid Cheka onto his cradle, he takes note of how small and fragile Cheka was. How weak and defenseless, not even able to realize the hatred that surrounded Leona as his hand start to move from Cheka’s back to Cheka’s neck

·       Just a second later, when his fingers had barely touched Cheka’s skin, one of Cheka’s hand grabbed onto one of his fingers

·       Surprised, Leona froze watching as Cheka pressed his cheek Leona’s finger, a soft smiling blooming on his face

·       Leona’s brain stopped working, trying to understand what had happen and the disturbing feeling he felt in his heart. Once the grip on his finger completely relaxes, Leona quickly leaves in confusion and confliction

·       Soon after, Leona and Cheka spent more time together, not out of will, but because Farena and Cheka’s mother would purposely leaving the palace to “patrol the country”. They wouldn’t even realize the dark look Leona would show behind their backs while his hatred for Cheka continued

·       Leona would mock in his head how stupid the new king and queen were for not noticing how much he despised Cheka’s existence. The existence that destroyed his last hope and opportunity to get the throne.

·       But Leona would soon realize that he cherished Cheka as he saw Cheka falling down from the window

·       When Farena and Cheka’s mother forced Leona to look after Cheka like any other day, Leona was at the end of his wits. Every time he babysat Cheka, the feeling he had in his heart made him more confused and frustrated, knowing that it wasn’t hatred anymore but something else. And Leona didn’t want that. He wanted to hate Cheka and nothing else

·       And what better way to get rid all of his problems then to get rid of the cause . It was truly the simplest yet best plan Leona was able to create in less than a second

·       Leona lied on his side pretending that he was  “taking a nap with his nephew” as he watched between the crack of his eyelids Cheka crawling towards the window sill, trying to catch whatever attracted his attention

·       He doesn’t move to stop Cheka from crawling onto the window sill or when ½ his body leans over. In fact Leona feels his heart pound from excitement

·       But when he actually sees Cheka slip from the window, Leona found himself jumping out the window as well, grabbing Cheka and covering the child’s body with his

·       Leona wakes up in his room, his body throbbing in pain as he hears crying

·       Farena, noticing that Leona was awake, quickly asks Leona if he remembers him

·       Leona croaks out his answer in a questionable voice, relieving the people in the room seeing he was still somewhat okay

·       Cheka’s mother comes next to Leona, giving the lion a comforting smile while apologizing that Cheka, who was in her arms, hadn’t stop crying after seeing Leona not wake up

·       Maybe it was because he was completely out of it, but Leona lifts his hand and lightly scuffles Cheka’s head and tells the kid he was okay and to stop crying

·       And to everyone’s shock, Cheka’s first word was said right at that moment, while holding Leona’s hand with the two of his

·       Later on, while resting in his bed, Leona was in deep thoughts, trying to accept that he cared for Cheka. The kid who was the son of the brother he resented, the one to take away his last hope.

·       But this kid ended up becoming his number one fan and the one to love him the most, even more than Farena or his father. To this day Leona would deny that he cried that night accepting the irony that the person he hated would be the only person to actually acknowledge and love him

·       And the strange bond between him and Cheka continued, as Leona reminiscence all the times he spent with Cheka who would praise him and cling to his side, and the memory of how Cheka cried and pulled a tantrum when Leona left for NRC

·       Despite the fact he still holds his feelings of despair of never getting acknowledged by others, Leona held himself together and prevented himself from overblotting for a long time thanks to his nephew. Oh, the irony.

Lilia tries to step in whenever he can tell your uncomfortable to someone asking you something that way he can say no for you. If the person tries to push it harder than Lilia will just pick you up and take you away from the person saying to find someone else to help because you are busy right now.

Now if it does get to the where someone gets to the point to be try you or back stab you, than Lilia will take the time to comfort you and help you through your sadness. However he will deal with the person on his free time in his own way. He hates to see when this happens especially since you try to be such a kind person.

If you are one that prefers to be alone after something like that happens than he'll let you have some time alone, though after a few hours he'll come check up on you. After living for so long he does understand what it is like to be betrayed or hurt by someone you might have cared about. Trust me you can talk to Lilia about anything or you two can just sit in comfort.

Change of pace

A little try of writing headcanon!  Vice leaders change dorms for a week and the reaction of the heads dorms 

• The news hit him on the head like the wand of the Queen of Hearts. He realized only that now he was going to become the vice leader of Diasomnia.

• Surprisingly, he was welcomed, although not with open arms, but very well-disposed. Especially when, out of habit, he set the table for tea with sweets of his own preparation. At first all the students froze in the pose "I am not here, I am a statue."

• He, of course, knew that Lilia was not cooking very well.. but not so bad, right??? It seems that Silver tasted normal baked goods for the first time in his life.

• And not only he, even the unshakable Sebek looked at him with a look full of admiration. No, all of Diasomnia.

• Malleus was well rested this week, especially with Trey not being as protective of him as Vanrouge. Let's be honest, this was the first time his dorm was so busy. Draconia even invited him to stay forever, which upset Lilia.

• Ruggie go to visit Pomefiore. On the one hand, he was happy to have a sudden week off, but not in Vil's lair! Hyena would love to sunbathe in the Scarabia and fly with Kalim on an carpet.

• However, now he is sitting and with a nervous look examines various bottles with unknown liquids. So, can you repeat one more time? This is a face cream, this is hands one... so this is for what? Why does he need so many pencils, he isn`t going to draw a landscape on his face.

• The second problem was etiquette. This is probably the first time Ruggie saw so many forks and knives. He used fewer of them in the dining room in a week than in one dinner in Pomefiore.

• Hyena already knew that Vil was picky, but after a week of living together, his opinion of him changed dramatically. Now he understood why Leona sighed in disgust every time someone mentioned the Beautiful Queen's dorm. Needless to say, he was jumping back to Savanaclaw?

• Vil didn`t appreciate the exchange program. He would still close his eyes if Jade or Jamil came, but why did a hyena come to his castle? Rook, of course, was still that thorn in one place, but Schoenheit greeted his return more warmly.

• Jade went to the most mysterious, in his opinion, dorm - Ignihyde. He's heard that Idia's appearance in a dorms meeting is like inviting Malleus to tea.

• He never managed to meet him. Shroud spoke only through the door, and even then in an uncertain, stuttering voice. He somehow reminded him of Azul when he was throwing tantrums.

• Therefore, Jade and treated him gently, for example, brought food and left at the door. It was a mystery to him how Idia could stay in room 24/7. However, once again remembering Ashengrotto and his pot, thoughts of the unusualness of the head of Ignihyde instantly evaporated.

• Previously, Rook burned them with a look from the side, now he did it sitting face to face. The students shuddered a little and carried their feet into the rooms, hearing a cheerful whistle. Hot-tempered animals are united by one goal - to survive this damn week!

• Hunt, who still loves to chat, had a real blast. Not a single student left him without a lot of questions. However, Kingscholar still got much more attention. Rook got a rare opportunity to watch his life for seven days. What hunter would miss such a chance?!

• This week Leona has probably acquired a couple of gray hairs in his mane. The blond had bothered him before, but now he has become truly unbearable. As in the case of Jamil, it is better for the one who was involved in the distribution to hide and pray for mercy. 

• “Oho, sounds interesting,” it was with this attitude that Vanrouge headed to Riddle's room to properly greet him in his favorite manner. Yes, he just hung from the ceiling as usual, making the poor kid jump up in surprise.

• However not only Rosehearts was so lucky. All students  have received such honor. Lilia never got tired of scaring cute kids to death. This was half the trouble of the Queen's dormitory. Especially, when Vanrouge decided to make his signature cake, which he baked every year for Silver's birthday.

• Such a unbirthday party will be remembered by everyone. He was forbidden to approach the kitchen. Riddle personally added Rule 811, which says "Letting Lilia Vanrouge enter the kitchen is punishable by head demolition." However, there was no need for this, the students themselves made up the patrol schedule.

• Aside from the incident with the tomato cake and chocolate tuna pizza-surprise, the third year was genuinely enjoying it. He loved everything, from the funny rules to the general atmosphere. He especially like playing croquet and feeding multi-colored hedgehogs.

• Riddle wasn`t happy about this, to put it mildly, yet a good deputy still needs to be found. Besides, Trey was his childhood friend and Lilia never tired of surprising him. On the last day of Vanrouge's stay, he personally planned a farewell party, mentally sympathizing with his dorm after the third year's words, "We will have to introduce the tradition of having tea drinking in Diasomnia!"

• The wonderful child was very happy, he will be able to make more friends! Maybe they'll even make friends with his brother! With such thoughts, the robot went to the Scarabia.

• Ortho soon became everyone's favorite. Still, where else can you meet such a cute and friendly robot? He quickly merged into the crazy sands dorm atmosphere. Help with cooking? Sure! Need hands free to finish cleaning faster? With joy!

• Kalim, known for his sunny character and cheerfulness, greeted Ortho very warmly. He even threw a party in his honor, it's a pity that his guest never tasted anything. Flying in the skies at night has become a favorite pastime throughout the Scarabia this week.

Chapter 4  “Desert oasis”

• Over the past times, nothing could surprise you, because you watched the clouds with a stone face, ignoring the shining face of Kalim and Jamil, who was sighing, but still flying after you on a broomstick. Al Asim in his style flew out of the mirror, caught you on the fly, made a circle around Monstro Lounge and flew to Scarabia.

• The sunny dorm remains exactly as you remember it during the walks to the oasis and back with hellish training. It's also suffocatingly hot and stuffy. It's only for three days, you consoled yourself, entering the already familiar room. Well, at least this case was different from the previous conclusion.

• “ Finally, I'll sleep it off”, you thought, getting ready for bed. However, the head of the Scarabia had other plans. So, a calm evening turned into a competition for playing mancala.

• At five in the morning, Viper nobly dragged his master into his room, who also kindly picked you up at seven sharp. Now you can add a personal butler to your list of professions. Besides, you still refused to work as a taster, the game definitely wasn`t worth playing

• Brushing off the dust with a PP daster, you already mentally cursed the director out of habit. Three more dorms were waiting ahead; the future seemed bleak, not as rosy as it had first appeared.

• Jamil, by the way, since your last visit to the Scarabia, has become a little more honest in expressing his own emotions. For a little bit, if you don't look closely, you won't notice. It seems that he has just begun to share his emotion ant throughts with others, and even then reluctantly.

• He remained in the post of vice leader, continuing to fulfill his old duties as personal servant Kalim. You were already familiar with the part: Al Asim had to be woken up, helped to get dressed and take water procedures. Along the way, he supervising and monitoring the preparation of breakfast. One meal was roughly equal to your and Grimm's total monthly ration, but this you chose to tactfully remain silent. Yes, the cat would definitely love to be here.

• The last three days have blended into one big pile of colors in your head. Perhaps all because of the parties that Kalim was throwing nonstop, or maybe because of a sharp lack of sleep because of him too. This probably explains your shabby appearance and the silent scream of horror that was reflected on the face of the eccentric hunter, who, at the behest of "Roi de Poison", came to escort you.

Chapter 3 “Vacation under water”

• Not the most pleasant memories connected you with Octavinelle, nevertheless the salvation of 500 unfortunate souls did its job. Even after the overblot, you felt a little sorry for Azul, but after you saw firsthand how quickly he got to his feet, completely changing his policy, it became clear: he will definitely adapt to any conditions.

• What could not be said about you.

• In your head more and more the thought was strengthened, and the leaders of the dorms must arrange a competition among themselves: "Who can make you work harder" First flamingos and roses, then a bridle for one lazy lion, and now the obligatory work at Monstro Lounge.

• Something told you that once you get back into your world, you can work as a handyman: as a painter, and a nanny, and a waiter, and, hell knows, anyone else.

• Your memory exhausted by the 810 rules of The Queen of Hearts, Octavinelle trio decided to test another time. Learn the menu? Learning to make simple drinks? Mastering service standards? FOR ONE DAY? Of course, Ashengrotto volunteered to help, but not for free.

• Gnawing on the granite of the sciences turned out to be more convenient alone, given that you didn`t want to pay for anything other than your own staying. The director didn't lie, your scholarship has increased, but not enough to give up the forced job.

• On the first working day, the twins' eyes were riveted to you, of course, they didn`t follow you as shadows, but nevertheless their glances burned your back. How much does this plate cost?.. Having heard the price and swallowed nervously, you decided to just take orders. It was safer and, most importantly, much cheaper.

• Now you understand why Ace, Deuce and Grim didn`t like talk about their captured time, however, for sure, you were treated easier than them. Also, you swore that your would never set foot in the restaurant service. Although Monstro Lounge had a much more varied range of food and drinks than in the College cafeteria.

• On the third day you went out neither light nor dawn, because you didn`t even unpack your things. After work, the only thing you wanted was to sleep, everything else went to another plan. Having hastily said goodbye to Azul and Jade, and dodging Floyd's bone-breaking hugs, you flew on your wings to the room of Mirrors, but you still couldn`t get to it. Something flashed over your head with lightning speed and grabbed you by the arms, taking you with it.

“Octavinelle is ideal for students interested in learning and wanting to prove themselves in everything they can. It is very likely that the experience gained here will be useful to you if in the future you also want to start your own business."

• Azul knew about your hobby and passion for theater, he knew how often you disappeared at rehearsals, how you spent your free time memorizing lines. This interest in art is laudable, but the octopus would like you to devote a little more time to him.

• However, he could not tell you anything for two reasons: his duties as head and work as a manager at Monstro Lounge ate up the lion's share of his time; the sparkle in your eyes when you shared moments of your cultural life with him was too dazzling. Ashengrotto only hoped that you don't know what power you have over him, yet.

• "An invitation to a play..." Congratulations, you caught the genius merchant by surprise. The young man wanted to attend one of the performances with your participation one day, but didn`t know that it would come so soon. The second time he was surprised when he read the title `The Phantom of the Opera`.

• Let's be honest, Azul thought you were just a bunch of hobbyists who put on shows for children like Cinderella, Snow White or some other fairy tale. Swinging at such a grandiose work... boldly.

• Head Octavinelle didn`t hesitate to drop duties for the restaurant on Jade and Floyd, devoting all his attention to preparation. He could not help coming, especially when you with sparkling eyes handed him the envelope in the box. He'll be watching the show with you in the lead role while sitting in the best places. Hmm... dating a lead actor has its privileges.

• At the start, Ashengrotto couldn't wait for you to appear. When that moment came, he caught his breath. On stage, you felt as free as he does in the water. Mentally, Azul noted that your nickname "Angelfish" was taking on another meaning, and that he might ask you to perform at a restaurant.

• Jade, like Azul, knew perfectly well how your soul lay for the theater and stage. He respected your opinion and supported your interests, not really delving into the essence. He was a little tormented by a sense of guilt, because almost all the time he was busy either working in Monstro Lounge, or looking after his brother, or assignments that Azul threw on him. If you could occupy yourself in his absence, then these are advantages for both parties.

• You have often strolled through the college gardens, sharing the events of your busy day. Just at one of these moments, Rook flew up to you, grabbing your hand in front of Leech, and singing the praises of your talent, your beauty, the way you behaved on stage, like a proud snow-white swan. • Who knew that one of your fans would be the most problematic student in the whole college. Then Jade asked when your next performance is scheduled, which he definitely intends to attend.

• The Phantom of the Opera.. as in the case of Ashengrotto, Leech also thought you were putting on fairy tales. Sitting comfortably in his chair, he waited patiently for the start, noting the huge crowd. It looks like your troupe was popular.

• If he hadn`t noticed the Pomefiore trio in the front row, his mood would have been much brighter.

• Your exit was marked by a solemn accompaniment of instruments, emphasizing favorably your voice. The melody flowed slowly, calming the nerves. Somewhere in the distance, there was a whisper that the main actress was the embodiment of the famous Christina Dae, and Jade could not disagree with them. Wait in the future, Leech will most likely ask you to sing to him.

• Up to a certain point Floyd wasn`t interested in how you spend your time. Exactly until you began to disappear at rehearsals more often than usual. The mood of the second twin has always been like an emotional swing on which you have always managed to balance with amazing success.

• "So the shrimp got carried away with the theater ~..." Floyd, unlike the others, kept you company every time, scaring the hell out of the staff and the rest of the actors. It was a double shock for them that their prima had already lover, but also that it was one of the Leech twins.

• He noted how your facial expression changed depending on the role assigned to you, how you skillfully got used to and tried on character.

• Having become a little jealous of you for the main actor, he went to talk with your director, after making you happy: you will play on stage together. At first, everyone was worried about the play "We're doom!", but Floyd had all the makings of a good actor.

• To your surprise, he sang very well too. Unwittingly, you remembered Jade's words about his twin's genius, it looks like he was right.

• On the day of the show, Floyd was waiting behind the scenes, watching you come out. He saw you come out hundreds of times during rehearsals, but this time it looked different. You smoothly floated onto the stage, winning the hearts of the audience.

• It is a pity that your lover's enthusiasm didn`t last long, but you were still happy to play with him. True, during the rooftop scene you thought you saw the familiar golden hair and heard the phrase “Beauté! 100 points!"

Notice After They’re Gone

HC on how Jamil and Kalim’s friendship became after Chapter 4

·       After Obing, Kalim realizes how Jamil must’ve felt while having to suppress himself from wanting to become higher this whole entire time, and starts to subconsciously distance himself from him

·       Jamil wouldn’t think much about it and would think in his head that he finally gained his freedom and it’s about time too. In fact he would appreciate it and feel like he gotten ridden a hindrance

·       Kalim would start becoming closer buddies w/ Yuu/MC and grim, hanging out with them more. He might annoy the 1st year crew, but Yuu/MC wouldn’t mind

·       Yuu/MC and Kalim would’ve gotten closer to each other to the point that Kalim spills out everything he suppressed and have a good crying session

·       Kalim would also get closer to the Octavinelle trio, Floyd being the one to get dragged in his chaos while Jade chaperones and Azul recounts his profit seeing how his business boomed after Kalim lended a hand

·       Jade and Floyd likes innocence and naivety? Oh heck no. Sorry, that’s gross. But when it comes to Kalim, he makes life a whole lot more interesting so they wouldn’t mind becoming closer to him. Heck they would probably try to make Kalim into a bad boy. (we all know how that’ll turn out though)

·       While Kalim is going around making friends, Jamil starts his conquest to get 1st place and achieve his goals

·       He wouldn’t hold back when taking tests and turning in assignments. Like excuse me, see that 100%? Yeah, that’s mine.

·       It would be a lie to say that it didn’t triggered Azul and Riddle. Azul would try get Jamil into making deals with him while Riddle starts seeing Jamil as a rival for 1st place. He can see his spot getting taken during finals and heck no, momma didn’t raise a quitter!

·       But of course, Jamil would be facing backlash from majority of the school. After all, the whole incident went live on magicam. And it was during winter break too. Who wouldn’t watch it?

·       The whole Scarabia dorm students would be giving him nasty glares or completely distancing themselves from him out of fear and disgust for what he did to Kalim. Other students from other dorms would either do the same or bully him over it

·       Don’t worry though, he has nothing to lose now. He lets his tongue rip those who harass him apart, and roast the living crap out of them. If that doesn’t work? Oh, don’t worry, there’s a reason why he’s good at ancient incantations after all

·       When Jamil and Leona pass each other in the hallways, Leona would give him a knowing smirk and would sneer at him saying “Oh, I thought you never once thought of killing your master?” Jamil would answer back with his own  saying “Well I didn’t kill him, now did I?”

·       War of snake vs Lion commences afterwards

·       But during the whole showdown, Jamil finds himself angrier and frustrated when Leona mentions about Kalim’s breakdown after seeing and hearing Jamil’s true thoughts on him. It’s not like their relationship was going to last and it’s not like he actually cared about Kalim. So why the hell does he feel like this?

·       As time goes by, Jamil starts to rise from his position and started to be viewed as one of the top tier students and admired upon while Kalim becomes more independent and hangs out with others more. Of course, Kalim also gets better at studying thanks to his new buds helping him out but the fact he can finally stop suppressing his feelings was more important than that

·       Jamil suddenly starts to feel weird seeing how Kalim doesn’t come to him as often as before. In fact, the only times they were now together are when both needs to play vice dorm leader and dorm leader for the students. Heck when holding banquets, Kalim doesn’t asks for Jamil’s help like usual. He organizes  with the help of Yuu/MC and the others.

·       When Jamil confronts Kalim about it, Kalim answers “You must’ve felt burdened with having to prepare the requests I made right? I realized how selfish it was, and thought that this was the least I could do since I feel bad about it”

·       It’s worse that Kalim says it with his normal, cheerful smile

·       What shook him the most though was that Kalim was be able to actually pull it off without his help. Heck even better when Jamil used to do the actually organizing of the banquet. And for some reason, it makes him feel bitter

·       Jamil starts to suddenly resent Kalim again. His head is filled with thoughts of how he was the one who used to organize the events, who always saved Kalim’s life when Kalim nearly entered death’s doors, the one that stood next him since a baby and there for him when he broke down

·       But now, he feels like he’s being left behind. Forgotten. Like he didn’t even mean anything to Kalim.

·       One day, while Kalim hung out with Yuu/MC and the other first years, Jamil suddenly comes over to secretly chat with Yuu/MC

·       Jamil asks question here and there about Kalim, whether he’s fine and what not about his well-being.

·       Yuu/MC naturally answers to their best of their capabilities yet Jamil didn’t expect to be asked “Jamil-senpai, is there something bothering you?”

·       “What do you mean by that? I’m just here to check up on Kalim as vice dorm leader. Isn’t it natural for the me to worry about him?”

·       Yuu/MC would point out how he looked frustrated for some reason, that there seems to be something that’s bothering him. Or else, his eyes wouldn’t be filled with some unknown resentment.

·       Jamil gets completely taken off guard when it gets point out but would soon quickly fix his expression to one that’s neutral. He would talk about how Kalim seemed to become more irresponsible, not coming to him for important talks and not communicating with him frequently about updates.

·       In the end though, all of his complaints would sound like excuses as to cover up his frustration on why Kalim isn’t close to him anymore

·       Yuu/MC, being the mc they are, would feel slightly annoyed by how Jamil was complaining about the distance he now has with Kalim and would point out that wasn’t this what Jamil, himself, wanted

·       When Jamil hears those words, he would freeze. Yuu/MC would go on and refer back to what Jamil had said during the events of in chapter 4, reminding him how he was tired about how much crap Kalim would put him through and how it was Kalim and his family’s fault for making him push himself down

·       Yuu/MC would also remind Jamil what he said to Kalim about his true feelings for sunshine boy

·       Jamil would then snap, telling the other to shut up and what place they think they had to lecture him like this

·       In the end though, he realizes that he’s the one to cause their friendship to start shattering into pieces and for them become more distant

·       When Kalim gets poisoned after trying save Jamil from Vil, Jamil realizes how much he actually liked Kalim as a friend and how much he missed hanging out with the boy who always brought chaos and smiles along the way

·       So as Kalim lays in his bed, Jamil finally starts crying from guilt and realization of his pettiness

·       It wasn’t Kalim’s fault that he felt suppressed nor was it Kalim’s fault for making Jamil feel resentful of his position

·       Everything starts falling together as Jamil stays next to Kalim’s side

·       When Kalim wakes up after being in a 3 day coma from the poison, the first person he sees would be Jamil sleeping peacefully next to him on a chair

·       Jamil would notice and wake up after hearing some shuffling and quickly ask Kalim how he was feeling

·       Kalim would reply that he felt kind of off and then tries to apologize to Jamil for the trouble he must’ve caused only to be stopped by Jamil pressing a glass cup of water onto his lips

·       Kalim would realize how messy Jamil was, as if Jamil just went through hell and back seeing his hair not in it’s kept manner and dark circles around his eyes as he drunk the water

·       A few days later, when Kalim makes a full recovery, Jamil would avoid Kalim for a couple of days, worrying the boy

·       On the other hand, Jamil would avoid Kalim unconsciously, out of the guilt that he felt. He felt like crap and didn’t deserve to stay by Kalim’s side. Not after how he treated him

·       Soon enough, everyone would get tired from seeing Kalim being depressed and Jamil’s sudden habit of blanking out so they all started planning how to make the two reconcile and get back together

·       And boy oh boy, were these two in for it. Yuu/MC and the first years would convince Kalim that they were going to hold a party in one of the second year’s classroom while Jade and Floyd would go after Jamil throwing toy bugs at him. When Kalim and Jamil enters the classroom, the sound of the door getting locked would be heard by the two, making them realize they were stuck with each other in the room

·       They would try to convince everyone to let them out first, but when they realize that their voice wasn’t getting heard, they gave up.

·       To say it was awkward would be an understatement. Both would look away from each other, Kalim trying to start small talk while Jamil would brood about the whole situation

·       Eventually the two would start talking with the basic pleasantries of how are yous, and what’s going on until things escalated when Jamil sneers at him, when Kalim starts to talk about how he was making more friends and becoming closer to others

·       The banter of “what do you mean” and “you know what I mean” would be thrown back and forth between each other until they started to shout at each other

·       Eventually it becomes a heart-to-heart argument, both spilling their feelings for each other until they realize they were both crying on the ground

·       Kalim would try to laugh by asking why the hell Jamil was crying while Jamil retorts back with a shut up and the same question

·       Both would start apologizing to each other through their tears until they calm down

·       Then Kalim would get up, offer his hand, and repeats what he said in the final scene of chapter 4 with his usually, sun-like smile

·       This time Jamil would give Kalim’s hand a glance before taking it and answering with a soft “fine”

·       It would be then that they realized that the door was unlocked, and both would start complaining about it until they burst into laughter and head back to the dorms once again as best friends, side-by-side
