while i am working on a few things like other art and fics (and am still at my family's house from the holidays), i've decided to give myself a half hour or so every day a daily doodle page as a warm up and just practise having fun innit xx

Fiction is not reality.

You can enjoy things in fiction that would be awful in the real world. Like playing a murderhobo in a game! In the real world, being or supporting a murderer-thief would be pretty damn awful, while in the game it's just good fun. Same with anything else you choose to do with the pixels on the screen, like kinks that don't affect anyone real, so they're okay in fiction, but would be pretty damn bad in real life.

No one else is responsible for your online experience. They are required not to harass you, but they are not and never will be obligated to not post about ships, kinks, or tropes you dislike just to avoid you seeing them. It's up to you to blacklist words or phrases, block tags, or even block users as needed to avoid seeing content that upsets you.

No one can force you to read anything against your consent. Any content you don't like seeing can be instantly avoided by closing out of the offending post/fic.

You are not owed an online experience free of discomfort.

Nothing that happens in your imagination can ever make you a bad person. Words you write or read about fictional characters will never make you a bad person.

The claim that media consumption influences real-life behavior is intellectually dishonest and serves only to excuse the behavior of real offenders.

Fiction is a safe way to explore horrifying or confusing concepts. Therapists agree that fiction, even (or especially) about taboo topics is a good coping mechanism, especially, but not exclusively, for trauma survivors. Fiction is to adults what play therapy is to children. This doesn't stop being true if the work in question is of a sexual nature.

Sex isn't an inherently worse or better motivation than anything else. A work written to create feelings of arousal isn't dirty, shameful, or in any way less pure than works written to entertain, provoke moral questions, or for other reasons. And worth noting is that multiple purposes can exist in the same story, especially fanfiction.

You aren't entitled to an explanation for why someone reads, writes, or otherwise enjoys certain works, kinks, tropes, ships, etc.

Just a lil intro post to say hi to anyone who stumbles across my page.

This corner of the internet houses all things fan related that I happen very much to enjoy.

Mainly a Solavellan account, here you will find my assortment of fanart and fanfics, including but not limited to all sorts of Dragon Age flavoured things. Other fandoms I may post can be BG3, Witcher, and anything else that may strike my fancy. Other such works and things may be housed here, too.

Everything in this blog will be content that I have made. NSFW may come up, though I far prefer fluff and angst. Links to all tags can be found at the bottom of the post!

A snippet of the following chapter of my anthology, Of Honey and Halla, which will be titled "In the Dales:"

“We are clan Yonwyn, Inquisitor,” the Keeper spoke with tempered patience. He was a man of a mature age, somewhere in midlife, and stood with the mild pride of prudence. He clutched a wooden staff, a head taller than himself, knobbed and gnarled of heartwood - a shillelagh.  The commotion roused further members of the tribe to slip through the trees and into view. A strapping elf appeared at the Keeper’s shoulder, tanned and raven-haired with eyes as green as the groves where the clan made their home. He was undoubtedly handsome and quite young by the looks of it, his movements as confident as his airs. Short of stature, he came to about half the height of the scepter, eyeing the party before them.  Upon a quick appraisal, a look of realisation flashed across his beautiful face and the elf jumped forward, dropping to one knee before Lavellan. He grabbed her hand, gripping his fingers tightly around her palm. “The Herald,” the boy greeted in reverence, averting the Inquisitor’s gaze and pressing the back of her hand to his forehead. “It is a great pleasure to meet you.” Lavellan stood motionless and bewildered, fixated on the figure before her in supplication. So shocked she was, unable to speak, and heard only the giggling snickers Sera made no effort to contain. Solas observed the young man, possibly no older than twenty and three and evidently a warrior, with a sharpened, glistening shortsword strapped to his side and daggers sheathed behind his back. The elf awaited her mercy at her feet, in silent devotion and surrender. Something unnamed and disturbing tickled within Solas as he scrutinised the sight before him. “Uh,” Lavellan stammered. “Yes, and you.” The boy rose, readily meeting her eyes. “It is very good to have you here, Inquisitor. Thank you for your visit.” He did not let go of her hand, seizing it with the same fierce piety he offered of himself a moment ago. Solas focused on the point of their connection, flickering between the face of the lad and their touch, and his eyes narrowed imperceptibly - the glance of which did not escape the notice of the Keeper. “We have heard tales of your heroism and grace, but the legends do not do you justice,” the elf said. “You are far more beautiful in person.”

i just had a really intense interview for a new role that had me preparing for it for like 2 whole days.......... it was meant to be 45 min but it turned into an hour.......................... i need a gd break 😭
