How busy is your Christmas weekend going to be❔ • So for me, Christmas starts tonight, me and my BF are going to my grandmas house for dinner maybe but for sure to open presents cuz my cousin and sister actually came down early this year. If perfection were reachable, once we got there, we would stop growing and learning and our existence would be pointless.

 Should you strive to be the best person you can? Yes! Should you put forth your best effort at all times? Certainly! Should you constantly be trying to improve yourself? Naturally!  But remember that your best will vary from day to day and even minute to minute. Remember that part of your task here on the planet is to make mistakes, because those help you grow. And, above all, remember and honor your limitations, and don’t beat yourself up for having them; they, too, are a learning tool.

Yay, the Christmas tree is now up and the house festively decorated along with my annual ritual of having the Elf movie on as the soundtrack. Steve even bravely ventured out to get mulled wine to drink along the way as well! Hoorah!!! Chapter 11:

It still shakes him just how much Ian sees him.

Just how much Ian always has seen him.

Ian notices things about him that are sometimes not even a blip on his radar.

Mickey’s sure his lack of smoking is only one of the many things Ian’s picked up on in the past year.

And that feels amazing.

He finds so much comfort in knowing that he never has to say it all out loud. The option is always there, but it’s never a necessity.

Ian’s listening even when there is nothing to be audibly heard.

“What about you?” Mickey prompts, eager for the heat of the conversation to be off of him, and his apparently obvious enjoyment of his day-to-day.

Do you ever get so caught-up in the “aesthetic” of your feed that you get very frustrated and think nothing is working? That you have lost your creativity forever? You try and try to take pictures and make them fit your “theme”, but othing seems to be working. And then, you look up and snap a picture while sitting cross-legged and hunched over at your desk, expecting nothing, but getting the cosiest picture you have taken in a while? I think a lot about what I want my account to be and how I want to present it. I don’t have fancy camera or props or numerous photoshoots (though it may look like it, it’s not true). When you visit my page I want you to feel comfortable and cosy and like you’re having coffee or tea or hot cocoa with a friend, talking over books.
