Me encanta.

I just thought about the interview with Tyler Blackburn when he said we have “kind of” seen A & “kind of” not (I don’t remember the exact quote). That quote is usually used in twin theories because what other way would that statement make sense? But I think I figured out how it can. If there is no twin then I think it must mean either:
1. We have seen A, but they were wearing one of those realistic masks hence seeing them, but not really seeing them.
OR
2. It will be someone who we have seen in a flashback, but never in the present time. The only person that I can think of who we have only seen in flashbacks is Bethany Young. If it did end up being Bethany, the puzzle pieces looking like one of her drawings would then make sense.
To back that possibility up further, there is a theory that somehow Bethany was in the garage with Jenna when Alison threw the stinkbomb in there. I’m not sure how that would be explained, I haven’t read up on that theory, but apparently Mona was in that situation in the books. This would give Bethany a motive because it is assumed she was also effected by the explosion (disfigured face). This would also explain why she never drew her face in her self-portraits AND the puzzle pieces put together form a FACE. Could that be Bethany’s face and she finally filled in her self-portrait?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the most peculiar Bethany drawing aka the one with her missing face (above), she is looking into a mirror. What is a mirror made of? Glass. What looks like it is surrounding the face in the puzzle pieces? Broken glass. And to finish this ‘theory’ off with a small bang: who is the one person who was taken by A.D. at the end of 7x10? Who was the person A.D. gave tea to and showed all of their plans to personally? The only other person who was effected by the explosion. Jenna Marshall.

I'm sad about the finale. I thought it was going to make me want to rewatch all the episodes to find clues. I don't want to now??? They introduced a new character with very little explanation. I don't feel like I'm going to get any answers from rewatching the show. :(

How they could’ve made PLL better
- stop trying to redeem Alison
- her being Uber A and/or the one with the twin (if twin had to be Spencer’s, they could’ve connected her to the start of the show)
- focusing on the mysteries of the original characters, not adding so many new ones
- not romanticizing the relationship between teacher and the student
- if they had to be together all these seasons, you could’ve broken them up by revealing Ezra as the big bad and allowing Aria to have her happy ending
- not picturing Byron and Ella as bad guys for not wanting it to happen
- explaining the importance of the blond little girl
- expanding the story of Bethany Young and linking her better to Alison and the whole story
- Ezra going to jail
- I don’t mind Cece being around, I just didn’t like her being Charles and Big A. Her being in the A-team would’ve been fine.
- by actually giving Aria plotlines outside Ezra and focusing on her hinted mental illness (she was actually my favorite A-candidat after Twincer, Alison - or her twin - , Ezra and Wren). Seriously, why drop so many hints without actually going anywhere with them? One of the girls being A.D. would’ve been mindblowing
- I actually wanted Wren to be Charles or related to the Montgomery-family
- more about Scott Montgomery and his role especially in the lives of Aria and Mike and their mental conditions
- not killing Wayne (or if he had to die, at least show his passing)
- at least one of the girls ending up with someone other than her high school-relationship (read: especially Aria)
- Jenna actually apologizing Toby for raping him
- not making Toby getting raped for the second time
- fandom: attacking the actors and actresses for getting in the way of their ships should’ve never been a thing (and the cast and other showmakers agreeing and supporting fans’ actions with their comments didn’t really help. At all.)
- ...and neither should sugarcoating the actions of people who have done people harm for many years and then blame other characters who have done one mistake for eternity
- making Melissa and N.A.T-club more relevant
- giving Noel more depth and backstory like he had in the books
- deciding the plot lines early on instead of dropping some of them so obviously that even the viewer can see it --> less plotholes
- I still want to see Wren’s death scene (despite Julian’s timetable problems)
- more scenes between Toby and Aria
- more Toby/Emily-friendship
- never making Spaleb a thing (and ruining Caleb’s character in the process during season 6B and 7)
- showing Mary killing Jessica
- justice for Paige (and Paily) and Lucas
- other girls being there during the A.D. reveal
- wanting family, friends and better life is okay, but using it as the reason to torture the girls got really old, because it was the motivation of every A
- not revolving the whole show around Dilaurentis and Hastings family (they are interesting, yes, but I would’ve liked to see the motive that ties the other girls better to it as well)
- giving “you know more about that night than you think you do” an actual background (for example, the girls did something bad to Alison or someone else and don’t remember it), rather than just to create drama
- less about romances, more about mystery
- not ending the show as the near copy of its beginning
These are only my opinions, you are completely justified for your own.

I believe Spencer’s twin is coming.
Tumblr media
In this post I want to give a list of reasons why Twincer is my prime suspect as AD. I know a lot of these ‘clues’ come from interviews, but they’re still really convincing for me at least. I’ve definitely missed some of the clues from within the show because they’re not as easy to spot - we need to know for sure if Twincer is happening, then we can dig further. (The fun won't instantly stop once the finale airs.) But for now, enjoy these, and at the end, I give my theory as to the motive.
Please note: none of this is overly new. This is just the summation of everything we’ve been talking about on my blog for the past couple months. I wanted to put all the ideas into one post, rather than 31529 mini posts scattered here and there. I will be updating this as we find more.
The famous airport scene from 715. We all already think it’s weird that "Spencer" asked Ezra to not tell anyone he saw her there with Wren. What’s weirder, is the fact that Wren and “Spencer” were arguing. Amongst muffle, I heard Spencer say "stop calling me that" (let me know if you heard differently). Did Wren have a slip-of-the-tongue moment and call her Spencer rather than the twin’s real name?
Dr. Cochran’s story is very telling. We all already know the ambiguous implication that Mary had more than two babies, because Dr. Cochran said he dealt with “two of Mary’s babies”. What’s more interesting is the second baby he dealt with. The first baby (Charlotte) he gave to Jessica. He said that the second baby that he delivered was placed in family county services. This could not have been Spencer, since Spencer was delivered to Veronica within 5 minutes of birth. So, who was that second baby that was placed in family services? I believe it was Spencer’s twin. Why? Dr Cochran referred to that second baby as "underweight but tenacious" - lo and behold, the next episode, Toby calls Spencer tenacious. This was the writers foreshadowing the similarities between this second baby, and Spencer. Twins.
We all know Hanna’s ‘dream’ in 701. It makes no sense that Hanna was able to dream ‘Spencer’ saying the name A.D. since Hanna was kidnapped before these initials were even revealed. Perhaps Hanna was visited by Twincer; the one holding her captive.
A.D. needs to stand for something.  Spencer's twin could literally have the initials A.D., since we know she would be Mary Drake's child. Her first name would start with A and the D would stand for Drake.
Brendan and Ian both confessed to being confused by the identity of A.D. They needed the backstory to understand it. Is that because they had no idea who has the name "Alex Drake" (for example) ?
Tyler said before 7B aired that "you've never met AD. You kind of have. You'll know what I mean". This can be interpreted in two ways: you’ve never met Twincer but since you know Spencer, you kind of know who AD is. Or. You’ve seen Twincer over the years, but thought it was Spencer. Either way, Tyler’s comment screams twin-theory to me. This could apply to any twin theory, but in this context, I’m using it for Spencer.
Ian said (0:57) that "fans will be satisfied to a point. Right when it seems it's gonna be really great, it might do a little [downwards hand motion]".... That cheeky smile on Ian’s face when he said “it seems it’s gonna be really great”... what could be greater than a liar being AD? Ian could be referring to the fact that they initially show us Troian under the hoodie, making us think Spencer is AD. Then, after commercial break, they will reveal it’s just her twin, hence the “it might do a little [downwards hand motion]”. We will be satisfied to a point, he said. It’ll start off amazing by thinking it’s Spencer, oh wait, it’s another twin.
Ashley said (0:14) that she didn’t even know the A.D. reveal is possible. Because she did not expect a second pair of twins to come along?
“It's like there are two of you living in this house. You, and you're evil twin, and we're not sure who's coming down to breakfast".  said Veronica to Spencer in 423. Foreshadowing at it’s finest.
Spencer doesn’t remember this flashback. Was it her twin? And oh how coincidental, that the writers tell us a time Spencer doesn’t remember, in the same scene Veronica makes the above comment about Spencer’s “evil twin”.
“Where are they?” said Mary as she entered the Hastings house (flashback from 717). Who is they? The twins? She proceeded to say that Spencer is the only good thing she's ever made. Maybe Mary knows Spencer’s twin is evil, and is neglecting her.
"You look very much like your sister. Almost like twins". said Mary to Spencer in 701. The writers wanted us to think that Mary was talking about Spencer and Melissa, since Mary was holding a picture of the half-sisters. But, were the writers, and therefore Mary, hinting towards Twincer? Is Mary being blackmailed/forced (by Peter?) to keep quiet on Twincer, and she had a slip-of-the-tongue moment here?
Marlene is very aware of the Twincer theories. Back in 2014 she said that Troian sent her an online fan theory regarding Spencer having a twin who is A. Marlene was blown away by it and she thought it was a very well thought out plan with detailed evidence across the series. Watch from 1:35. Whilst you may be saying “there’s NO WAY Marlene spoilt her own show’s ending in an interview!!” - I feel like she had no idea the show would go on for 7 seasons, and once they got renewed, she panicked. “Shit, we need a new Uber A. Let’s go with that brilliant fan theory Troian sent me”. She probably regrets making this interview now. You can tell her passion for Twincer in this interview. She talks so damn highly of it.
Marlene has said that the person who plays A.D. had known for a while. We know that Marlene told Troian the entire ending of the show years in advance. "Just like I had story time with Marlene, you all now get story time with Pretty Little Liars" said Troian.
The girl in the coffin in the opening has the exact same black puffy shirt as Spencer.
Why does it seem that A.D. is always going after the Hastings? Why shoot Spencer, out of all the liars? Why demand Aria to plant the audio device in the Hastings? Why not ruin the Marin household? The jealous twin wants her ungrateful sister dead, hence the shooting, and the jealous daughter is angry she never got adopted. Too much of the story is Hastings-oriented.
“They’re all some pretty. Good. Theories.” Was Janel’s response to being asked about the Spencer-twin theories. (22:20)
And, I’ll just leave this here. Good one @prettylittlesessions !
“Spencer’s” weird comments in 718. In 718 “Spencer” says to Toby “you know what its like to be the outsider. Removed from friends and family”. What made her say this? Nothing was said or done in 718 to prompt our Spencer to say this.
Keegan said there are no more Spoby kisses in 7B. “I can honestly say that there is not another Spoby kiss.” Yet - there was one in 718. Either Keegan lied, or that was Spencer’s twin. (10:15)
“It’s somebody you have seen.” says Marlene in regards to who AD is. Was she talking about the Spoby kiss in 710, which Twincer referred to in 718 when she kissed Toby again? Marlene was very careful to avoid saying “it’s someone you KNOW”. We don't “know” Twincer. But, we have seen her.
“That’s not the Spencer I know” said Toby in 718. Writers are foreshadowing.
Setting all this aside, I want to add my theory on the backstory and motive:
Twincer, who’s name is A_____ Drake, was born in Radley, as Dr. Cochran told us in 7A.
Twincer was raised in Radley - not because she needed to be at a psychological hospital, but as a form of daycare, because Mary was deemed an unfit mother, and also she kept Twincer a secret from Peter... he already hated her (to the point of planning her murder, later on) enough for having one baby together, imagine Peter’s reaction to having twins.
There, Twincer met and bonded with her sister Charlotte. Charlotte became Twincer’s only friend. (Twincer might even be Bethany, since we already know of this bond between Bethany and Charlotte, and how Bethany was drawing Charles being taken away by a monster. But for this theory, let’s just forget Bethany for a second.)
When Mona came to Radley and started telling Charlotte about everything she did to her sister, Charlotte and Twincer wanted to play. They wanted a turn at harassing Spencer and her friends.
For Charlotte, as we know, it was the feeling of finally succeeding at something in life that made the game her drug. For Twincer, it was something far darker.
Harassing Aria, Hanna, Emily and Alison is all about driving a wedge between the girls. Twincer wants to break up the girls. Turn them against each other. Hopefully by throwing fire at the girls, they will break up, ultimately, to ruin Spencer’s life. Again, jealousy. Twincer’s plan is backfiring because it’s exactly A’s threats that makes Spencer say “we need each other more than ever” and “always stick together”. The writers keep making the point of SPENCER being the one to make the comments about “always” sticking together. Twincer cannot break Spencer and her bitches. This is fueling Twincer’s anger. Nothing is working.
That’s why AD/Twincer recently shot Spencer. “If I can't break the girls up to ruin Spencer’s life, why not just become Spencer?” Twincer shot Spencer in an attempt to assume her identity and squeeze her way into the loving friendship group that she could never crack. “These girls are so loyal to each other... they don't even break up after even my threats. Damn, I want to be a part of this. It’s my turn to live a happy life. You had your turn Spencer.”
Note: I do not believe that AD has been operating since season 1. Mona’s time as A is completely independent from Charlotte and Twincer’s story. Mona started the game, and now someone is ending it, and she wants to know who. Charlotte and Twincer are their own duo; their own A-team, which stemmed as a result of Mona coming to Radley. Charlotte revealed herself - next up in the A team is Twincer, who is carrying on the game she once played with her sister.

my two cents
I’m really disappointed that there seems to be a general consensus (mostly by journalists and the cast/crew) that we’re not ‘allowed’ to be unimpressed with the finale. And I am speaking mostly to Troian’s quotes here. I love the woman but I think that’s an unfortunately really narrow way to look at fandom and the array of different emotions we all have. And we’re all upset for different reasons and to lump it all in with the same people who were sending her death threats about SpaIeb is really shitty.
I can be upset by a result and not send death threats. The majority of us can.
First, not everybody was in it for the same things. A lot of us were in it for the mystery. We were there to look at every single clue. We were there when they all said “everything is a clue in Rosewood” and took it to heart and wasted spent seven years theorizing, there were even Twincer theories that linked back to the earlier seasons! A lot of us were in it for the friendships and for the feminist undertones or the wlw rep which in the end left a lot to be desired. A lot of us were in it for the ships and romance. A lot of us were in it for more than one of those things, but a lot of us also weren’t and that’s not a bad thing.
The idea she’s pushing is that if you didn’t like the mystery, then look at the ships because yay endgame! But what happens when the mystery was unsatisfying, and you don’t care about the ships? What happens when the girls spent most of the time not together in the finale?
I don’t think it’s her fault for saying these things, I don’t think you can possibly understand fandom unless you’re in fandom and it’s very clear that’s never been something she’s been interested in and that’s fine.
But this idea that we all wanted the same things is really just a sad view of fandom. I agree, not everybody was going to be happy. That’s going to happen in any show no matter what. But this whole narrative about how we should only care about the work that they put in and the time they invested is hypocritical at best. Like, sure, I concede the writers did probably try to make us as happy as possible, but when you’re only listening to a select few people on twitter who kiss your ass 24 hours a day, that’s not really fair and is really just the beginning of a deeper fan-service fandom issue.
And to that, I also say, what about the time fans invested? For years, we were told that “that night” was important, and we held on to that, only to have it mean nothing.  There were so many things that kept us holding on to the end because we thought we were going to get a a seven year reveal. Something that, after seven years, would knock us on our asses. Something that connected back to “that night”, to Alison, to the barn, to any of the original lore of the show. They kept that going because that was the only way to keep people holding on after Charlotte, and that does become a manipulation at some point.
The complete lack of acknowledgment for a huge part of this fandom is really disheartening. I mean, take the classroom scene. They hyped that scene up for two years. People literally spent two years theorizing about something that in the end meant nothing, that they had no idea what they were going to do with. Somewhere along the way, the ships were the only thing that mattered. They sacrificed everything else for the ships, not realizing that some of us didn’t care about them. Having ships is fine, loving them is fine, but it took over the show, and I think, in many ways, the ships are what sunk the show.
As fans, we’ve also invested a lot of time into this. A lot of us invested money into it. And without us, this show wouldn’t have gotten 7 seasons, so I think it’s kind of sucky that as fans, we’re being told that we’re not allowed to be upset if we were unsatisfied by the finale.

Thoughts about the finale
mixed feelings about this.
I didn’t like it. Don’t get me wrong. I was rooting for twincer, I was rooting for the emison babies. I was rooting for mona being the bad bitch she is. I was rooting for wren being involved. But my problem isn’t with all this. Going with the twincer story, there was only one way marlene could’ve presented this, and it was the abandoned twin is sad lonely and vengeful. Which i understand. It was boring yes, but my theory came true so im not complaining. this is my problem:
It was the presentation that was just god awful. The first 30 minuted of the show had absolutely NOTHING happening. I kept checking the time and waiting for something to happen. I understand that we were supposed to see the liars lives and choices post A.D, but i’ve been watching this show for 5 years for the mystery!! I do want to see the liars in their lives but i wish the priority had been the mystery.
The reveal
I got so excited when i saw spencer look into her reflection. All she had to do was look at herself for me to know what was about to happen. Boy i got SO excited. That scene was AMAZING. Troian acting was phenomenal. That was one of the few things that i absolutely loved. I was expecting that twin but i was not expecting that accent. That left me shook. Besides that i really didn’t really particularly enjoy the reveal. The problem was that it was SO predictable. We all had guessed the airport scene was twincer. We all guessed wren shot twincer to look identical. We all guessed twincer had sex with toby. I was expecting that. What i wanted to know though, was the lies within charlotte’s story? why sara was working for charlotte. I know they mentioned that but i still have no clue. and out of ALL people, it was jenna who realized the truth about twincer. not toby not aria not melissa but jenna. One thing i truly will never know is if jenna is really blind or not. Bitch can see i swear.
More plot holes. How did spencer know what book toby was referring to if alex gave it to him? They played it way too safe in my opinion. Jenna is one bad bitch, they could have incorporated her into the story so much more. Lets not forget WREN. wren could’ve been an AMAZING sidekick. He was a creep in radley, it would have explained how charlotte got in and out at times? Secondly, before wren was ingested into the rosewood crap, he was a pretty decent guy. When you see your exgirlfriend’s sisters secret twin, you just hook up with her? That is some creepy shit how did he not pick up the phone and dial up melissa? that is the most unreal thing i’ve ever heard of.
The end
Let’s talk about that ending. Toby not knowing his way around his own house that he built? come on? I enjoyed the last scene with the liars together. However i really wished we could have seen more of the hastings. I mean, i wanted to see Veronica react to Alex. I wanted melissa’s reacting. When they said they were bring melissa back i was SO excited. She is one of the best actors. But what we got was 1 scene of her next to a horse? i mean are you kidding me. i get she has chicago med to film, but they couldn’t have her in one more 2 minute scene, maybe of her hugging spencer post alex or SOMETHING. Besides that the end scene with mona. Loved it. Really made me feel full circle. i didn’t quite understand how that happened but i was okay with it. I don’t know why mary was in there. She didn’t really do anything wrong in my opinion. I actually liked mary but ok fine. The end scene. Those 3 girls in the cabin. one girl wakes up (aria parallel), asks where addison is. The 4th girl (spencer parallel) comes in. Addison’s gone. “i think i heard her scream”. LITERALLY WORST ENDING EVERY HOLY SHIT. I don’t think ive ever been so angry. That was TERRIBLE. JUST AWFUL. I hated it. I had suspected this happening, when addison+4 were cast but i prayed no. I hate the whole history repeats itself thing. History already repeated itself x3 already! jessica/mary. Spencer/alex. Lily/grace. If this addison thing is really history repeating itself then we already know whats to come. not to mention how many damn girls disappear in this town damn. I get it was supposed to be full circle or whatever. But it felt like a fucking pentagon. The devil’s pentagon. Hated it. I probably would have minded it soo much, if it wasnt so specific. but everything down to the lines was exactly. the. same. I did not watch this show for 5 years and waste my youth to watch addison and co. being the last scene
I’m not even disappointed to be honest. I have always watched the show with low expectations. I hoped this being a series finale would make it somewhat better, but nope. I thought i would cry at some point. But no scene in this whole episode made me cry. I didn’t hate it completely. There were times where i was smiling so wide. I was having a stroke during that twincer reveal. I loved parts of it. Lily and Grace were cool. Troians acting was amazing. all the scenes with the 5 girls were also so lovely. but generally i wasn’t too impressed. If anything i feel content that its finally over.
Goodbye pretty little liars. You had the potential to be the greatest show, instead you got fucked over time and time again. 2010-2017.

My feelings on the PLL Finale
This is the post I promised about all of my feelings about the finale and the show, now that it has come to a close. I don’t have many good things to say about it so I am warning you now before you start reading. If you enjoyed the finale and are the kind of person whose mood (and in turn opinions) can be affected by those of others if they don’t match their own, don’t read on. Unfollow me, because a lot of what I post or reblog from now until I stop using this account will not be positive.
I envy any of you who loved the finale, as I mentioned yesterday, because this show has been really close to my heart, and I wouldn’t want to be the person who ruins those memories for you because I know how easy it is to change your mind about how you feel about something if everyone (or at least the majority) around you doesn’t feel the same way as you. If I were you, I would guard my feelings fiercely (if I were content with the finale) and keep away from all accounts that might make me second guess my views. However, if you are interested and can tolerate diverse views, or if you share the same frustrations as me, you’re welcome to read on!
Starting with the positives, things I liked about the finale:
The music. It really did make it feel like a movie, and I got the feeling that it would be a very special episode (which I was proven wrong about shortly after).
Ali and Emily with their adorable girls. That made me smile.
“I may not be able to see, but I can smell a BITCH from a mile away.” I really don’t need to say more on this except that this has probably become my favourite line of the whole series.
Mona getting her happy ending and winning the game.
SPOBY SCENES! I’m not a crazy shipper (haleb is my favourite) but spoby won my whole heart that episode. The scene where Spencer and Toby are the only ones outside before she asks if she can join him in his room, the exchange that happens and the playing of the scrabble, and the scene where Toby recognises Spencer from Alex were just perfection.
Wine moms. I could have used more of that in the episode.
The way we found out about A.D. Despite not being a fan of the reveal, I thought that was pretty epic and clever.
The flashback of Alex and Charlotte. That was the only part where I got slightly teary-eyed when I found out what the Patsy Cline connection was.
Where it all went wrong (which was, most of it for me):
The time dedicated to the mystery was so little (and no, I don’t count Alex pretending to be Spencer mystery oriented because there was no information given to us at the time) that I felt like Marlene forgot she was writing a FINALE. It didn’t feel like a finale. I never felt on the edge of my seat. I was never scared for Spencer, nor Ezra.
The one year time jump was so useless and done only for the purpose of making emison (fans of a RELATIONSHIP, not mystery which the show has been built on) fans happy by getting them to see their babies. What was the point of the time jump for the mystery? You’re telling me A.D. took a year off, chilled, saw Ezria were to be married a year later, and decided it was time to take Spencer’s life? Why didn’t Alex do that before? It doesn’t make sense. Again, an utterly stupid decision to flash-forward a year.
The British accent. I got really annoyed by it because I didn’t find it believable at all. Some might say it is just because we weren’t used to hearing Troian speak that way but that’s not the case. We saw Archer drop his phony American accent in 6x20 but that helped form his character because it not only worked, but because Huw is British it was done well too. I understand the reasoning behind wanting Alex to sound Essex-like (how Troian described it) but I couldn’t stop ignoring the accent, and couldn’t try to understand Alex beyond it. The_pll_sherlock on Instagram explains it perfectly here: “Whenever either one of us expresses our disdain for Alex’s accent, we get dozens of comments educating us on class. So here’s a clearer explanation of what we’re saying. By a Londoner: No one’s suggesting that Troian should have adopted a more upper-middle accent! 😂 Julian’s accent IRL is hardly “posh” & wouldve been perfect for Alex. I can’t imagine that anyone actually from London would call what we heard true Cockney. As for Essex…two things. Essex isn’t actually in London & it’s not ‘working class’ as many have suggested. But all of this is irrelevant because the reason why we point it out is - as we’ve both said multiple times - that IT WAS DISTRACTING 😩. It felt cartoonish. I found it a little upsetting as I was jolted out of the story every time she spoke.” My point is, Marlene shouldn’t have chosen Alex to be British. Andrea managed to play Mary flawlessly without changing her accent. She used her aesthetic, facial expressions and body language to make us believe in Mary. If the same choice was made for Alex, I may have believed in her.
This links in with my previous point but just the way Alex Drake was developed and played. I kid you not when A.D. was revealed, for most of the finale I was expecting her to take her mask off. We didn’t get enough backstory and not nearly enough flashbacks. We were promised a heart-breaking story but they failed to deliver it. Yes, it is horrible that Mary sold her and she lived on the streets and grew up without a family BUT we didn’t really see Alex feeling remorse over it. She found everything she did humorous, like someone with too much time and money on their hands. She didn’t show emotion, and that’s why I struggled to believe she was a real person. They didn’t humanise her. Why weren’t we shown a flashback of Alex visiting Charlotte’s grave? Why weren’t we shown the harsh details of the difficult life she lived? Why weren’t we shown flashbacks of her with Wren, Archer and Charlotte?
I’ve mentioned this before here that in my opinion, Troian was the wrong choice to play the ultimate villain on the show. I love her to death but I could not picture her pulling this off successfully. To play a villain well, you have to make the audience somewhat fear your character, or fear for the character in danger because of them, which didn’t happen for me. I found Alex to be comical rather than a villain I could take seriously. There are many other cast members who in my opinion were a much better fit to play a villain. I’m talking about Sasha, Janel, Torrey, Tammin, Vanessa and Ian. First 5 actors in particular, are probably the best out of the entire cast.
There were not nearly enough clues pointing to Alex. Marlene kept on saying 7B has tonnes of clues. WHAT CLUES?? I found nothing aside from the Wren and Toby scene that pointed towards Spencer having a twin. Even those scenes only make Spencer shady. The_pll_sherlock again, explains my point well: “When you say “I knew it” or when Marlene talks about leaving eggshells, all I think is “well, yes, everyone SAW the strangeness of Spencer.” But those weren’t real clues. There was absolutely nothing pointing to the ENGLISHNESS of a twin (other than Troian’s interview with the bros, but no one thought that then lol) or to other aspects of her story. And that’s why Twincer made no sense. We all saw the physical signs Troian was giving us, but they seemed (and SEEM) random & irrelevant to the plot. It’s probably also why a lot of Twincer supporters aren’t happy, despite being right. You were sure it would be her (even though you could never have guessed the “why”….which was just handed to you). I had a similar problem with the CeCe reveal. But at least in her case, we could see clues in previous seasons. There are clues pointing to Spencer having a twin, yes. #shadowhastings. But Marlene didn’t try to weave them in; there’s nothing referring to Alex until season 7. Remember Mona? Clues pointed to the 'who’ AND the 'why’”. There were probably more clues for people who weren’t A.D. than for Alex herself.
Inconsistencies were also a huge issue for me, as were character choices in the finale. Alex’s motive was to find and punish Charlotte’s killer yet instead of doing that she recruits Mona to help her in her final game against her sister who has NOTHING to do with Charlotte’s death. You expect me to believe that Alex, who has probably grown up without the privileges of most people, would use the carissimi money, not to build herself a better life but to buy supplies (for spying, the board game) for torturing the girls?? Black hoodies. We see Alex throwing them away and then buying new uniforms, saying she hides in plain sight yet we see her wearing the hoody numerous times in season 7. How does that make any sense?
Mary Drake. Why didn’t she tell Spencer she had a twin? Why was she working for her if she cared so much for Spencer? Why was she at the blind school when Alex shot Spencer? Her character makes no sense to me anymore.
Interviews
This was the thing that let me down the most - lies and building false expectations of fans. Setting aside Marlene comments (because we know by this point she lies as much as she breathes), Keegan lied in SO many interviews claiming, the reveal makes the show “rewatable”, it “ties a lot of plot points” and “it’s so clearly in every episode.” Lucy said it’s “the real A”, Janel said clues are “sprinkled throughout the series”, Ashley said this person has been behind “all of this” and “for the last 7 years.” Not a single of those statements is true, or close to it. Why would you say that, I want to ask these people. You literally told us to expect this explosive reveal that’ll tie all 7 seasons AND clues will go all the way back, and now knowing that they don’t no wonder so many of us are deeply hurt by it. All that time theorising, rewatching the whole series the way I did, I’ll never get back the time that I wasted. Even when I go back to rewatch the show (I don’t even know when that’ll happen), I’ll never be able to watch an episode the same way again. Plot holes will remain just that, and I will forever dwell on the missed opportunities in the plot lines that would have made the show end amazingly.
Marlene didn’t write this finale for us that began watching this show to find out what happened to Alison, she wrote it for those who have been cheering on the problematic Ezria romance ever since their famous kiss in the bathroom. She wrote it for those who wanted Emison together despite the fact that Alison is not a good person. The saddest thing of all is, Marlene and her team of writers forgot about the people who made this show what it became, and she forgot what Pretty Little liars was really about - a mystery.

MY FINAL THEORIES
First of all, I just want to thank you all for your fabulous theories and just being the most supportive and amazingly creative fandom to grace tumblr. These past few years have been a whirlwind of emotions from the disappointing Cece reveal to the cuteness of Haleb getting married. I’m so lucky to have been able to experience this journey and meet some incredible people along the way. Some of these people I have never talked to, some I have but I want to give an extra little thank you to these people for entertaining me with their fabulous theories and over all being fabulous
@plldetectives @spencers-bleeding-purse @monariaisa @thebestplltheories @dominicsherwod @rosedaleriverwood @badassmona @prettylittleliarsxxxx @prettylittlesecrethints @prettylittlebiga @halebendgame @wrenischarles @rosewoodclown @prettylittlesessions @spencersbarn @bethanyisbiga @fuckyeahlittleliar @wednesdayaddamms @tremolux @omgthebusybees AND MANY MORE
Okay, so now onto the point of this tag. My endgame theory for the final episode. My final ever theory. It’s hard to narrow it down but I’m gonna kinda list it in order of how likely I think it is to happen
1. EZRA FUCKING FITZ. He’s been exploding with shade since the very beginning, I mean are we really expected to believe that he had a lair for a book? He stalked and dated underage girls for a book? No. I don’t buy it. I think Ezra is the real Charles and I’m so up for Wren to kill him like bang bang do it. There’s so many Ezra clues, relating to the Great Gatsby etc.
2. WREN AND MELISSA WORKING TOGETHER. This could literally be Wren as Charles and Melissa as Bethany and they are working together. I mean, we know little about Wrens family, the picture he was colouring, him ‘breaking up’ with Melissa after finding out she 'burried Bethany’, Jessica would have slept with Bethany’s Dad aka ROSEWOODS founding father Peter slut Hastings, and Melissa goes to the same riding camp Bethany went to.
3. The real Alison is AD, and the one we are seeing, the one that came back is Bethany. I’m in love with theory and it explains how different Alison is
4. Twincer. I don’t need to say anymore because 7B is swarming with Twincer clues

#PLLENDGAME finale predictions
Please dont let marlene and friends “confirmations” keep u closed minded.
So they confirmed a time jump btwn 719 and 720.. bullshit They also confirmed toby was “pure evil, bad intentions” and no they wont go the transgender route
They cant make a year later and the girls dont know who A is and Ezria still arent married. It will most likely be after the reveal and answers then we get a time jump and see where the girls end up.
Mona is seriously ill. She ends up back in an institution face 2 face with A. Im so afraid she will die
Aria finds out something devastating about Ezra. Clearly she is the most distraught from all the girls. Even goes as far as to say they cant marry. Too obvious to make him A. Could he be the sperm donor? Ie. Emisons baby daddy. He had a sick obsession with Alison, the book, the lair (with the creepy ass blown up photos), dating her. Mona was on track to find baby daddy and we know Ezra is tech savvy. Is this his sick way of fulfilling an even sicker Alison fantasy. After all his masters degree in American literature will help him with dead bodies (wtf was that about)
Melissa and Wren are back.
Wren.. sweet baby wren. I stand by my theory that he is Bethanys brother. He could know mona hit his sister and shoot mona. We know he plays a big part in the end. After all isnt bethany the basis of everything? It was her dead season 1 after all. Perhaps he knew about her drawings, jessica, mary, spencer, melissas involvement in ultimately killing her (dirt in lungs)
Melissa is here to please fans. Did she know about Mary? Spencer? ABSOLUTELY. “I did this to protect u spencer, since before it started.” Even garrett mentioned protecting Spencer on the train.
Jenna can see. We see that in the promo. But the question is, for how long?
Im all for a TWINCER storyline but how much more unrealistic can we get. There was already a hidden sibling (charles) a hidden  twin (mary) they cant do that again. Spencers moodswings addictions and odd behaviour could just be genetics. Her lineage has a history of mental illness. Take Ali for example, remember when she had a bloody lip? Crying and opening up then BAM back to bitchy Ali! Doesnt mean much except they have some issues.
If there is a twin i am all for it! I love Spencers character and Troians acting so i will take it… but i highly doubt it.
I feel like they went big, outside the box with charles… cece… charlotte. This reveal needs to be simple, clear, devastating.
Paige- no way. People will be pissed Lucas- accused too many times. Cant be him Melissa- already a killer and made to look like A too much already. Too obvi Wren- will be involved in something but isnt A Parents- is nothing sacred Toby- we need spoby for endgame Caleb- we need haleb for endgame Ezra- too obvious from the promos Charlotte- cant bring another person back from the dead Bethany- same as charlotte Who is left guys???
Jason.
My sweet, gorgeous Jason. He is the center of all things major on pll.
- he is a dilaurentis (raised) - he is a hastings - NAT club - odd scar possibly from Halloween train never explained. - always travelling - has the money to be A - slept with Ashley Marin yet A never told Hanna that yet? p.s. he slept with pastor teds girlfriend.. charlottes birth father, was it revenge?? - dated charlotte - really close to charles. - Jenna was almost killed in his house - gave Spencer a bag he found of alis things (even though mayas family owned the house alis shit was still around) - he likes Arias pink hair. In the dollhouse she was forced to dye it. - liked aria. Notice A always tried to break Ezria up and Aria was not physically harmed by A (wilden and meredith hurt her) - NAT was his idea.
- cece and jasons breakup was complicated… ya learning your girlfriend is your long lost brother/cousin is complicated. - he paid lucas to find out who stole the body and acted shady ever since that day. Possibly when he joined Charlottes game.
In the vault there were 2 ppl. One was watching Ali on screen the other stood there and looked at Emily when the girls burnt down the vault. The prom scene?? Why the hell would a transgender female dress like a man??? Spencer even said something seemed familiar like a cousin. Lmfao jason is her brother and her cousin.
Think about it. AD wanted to know who killed Charlotte. Why? Archer loved her, Mary was her mom, why would AD care? Another family member
Cast members said fans from day 1 will be pleased, it answers a lot of questions, you can go back to thr beginning and see hiw it happenned. Even if he joined Charlottes game. He has always been shady from day 1! If i had to guess right now. It would be Jason . Just putting him in the hoodie answers so many questions without actually answering them. Did he learn something back in his NAT days to fuel this? He started having people film for him watching these girls... over the years it escalated to this sick game of life or death with people working for him... watching and playing with these girls
“I never would’ve guessed it was you”
I would be very happy with this. Tell me what you guys think!!

Reblog with...
1. Who you think will be AD 2. Who you want to be AD 3. If Twincer isn't your answer to 1 or 2 - do you think she exists? My answers; 1. Twincer or Ezra 😧 2. WREN! WREN AND MELISSA. TWINCER AND WREN. 3. Yes, or someone in a Spencer mask 🙄

The 5 ways PLL can come Full-Circle
So more and more i just keep thinking about the full circle theme that the actors and Marlene keep mentioning on and on and I have a couple of theories of how the show could come to full circle in the end.
1.Addison will die or disapear and her groups of friends will go to her funeral and recive texts from A/A.D as the camera pans and hands of time plays in the background. This the most obvious way for them to go full circle while paying tribute to the pilot episode and since they are making it very obvious that Addison is the 2.0 version of Alison so it would be quite fitting if she died or disapeared just like Ali.What makes me belive this even more is that there is a rumor that the are going to be new characthers in the finale so it’s very likely that they are Addison’s friends.
2.Alison will die in the finale and the liars will stand in front of the church one last time and recive an A text saying game over but I’m still here, bitches and always know everything with hand of time playing in the background..It’s ending the show how it began it couldnt be more full circle. The show started with Alison’s death and now it’s also ending with her death .This theorie is my personal favorite however it wouldnt be a complete wrap on the girls story and it also means that Emison wouldnt be endgame.I don’t know if Marlene has the actual gut to do that but who knows.
3.We see all the liars happy with their family’s having a family dinner or something and outside it show four of the liar’s kids who are 16 or 17 and they are arguing while parents having dinner and then their phones beap and they all recive an A text as one of the liars(or maybe more) look through the window and notice that. This is a way for the show to come full circle and it would be pretty cool but it’s just to big of a question and a cliffhanger for the show. Also it would kind be set up for time for a spinoff so they could go that right to make a spinoff possible. But i bet this is the less likely choice.
4.In the finale all the girls go to Spencer’s barn and they are drinking and all of them black out but Alison is still up like she is waiting for someone and she tries to leave and see’s that there a black hoodie aka A.D waiting with a shovel and hits her over the head killing her. This theorie pars up with whole Twincer theorie which is one of the most likely to happen and it would be some awsome foreshadowing if Twincer says something like I couldn’t kill you before but now your paying for what you did. However i don’t know  how likely this is but it would come full circle to “That night”.
5.The girl’s have all moved on with their lives and they are all happy and have kids and as they go to school to pick up their kids they look and see that a group of girls infront of the school reciving a group text and reading it out loud but the liars can only make out the last part them saying in the end -A.This very likely to happen since in the inteviews it has been said that the Rosewood mythology will still continue. It would be a way to continue it just wouldnt be as cool as an dramatic hand of time like scene.
These are just some the most likely but i dont know if any of them will actualy happen but thse are just some wild guesses.
