Ditto. Let's not forget all the cast said this about the finale too. And we know how that turned out...
I’ve read the Pilot and Marlene’s a genius. It has nothing to do with PLL, but Marlene wants to incorporate us. Its a murder mystery so its very PLL like as far as that and I think the fans are really going to enjoy it.

So you don't like pll anymore or you don't like Marlene and her writing?
I don't like the direction Marlene and writers took the show and their writing worsened after season 5. I thought season 7 (7A at least) was amazing and had the potential to be the best season. The finale would make or break it and for me, it ruined not just that season but the whole show because of the ridiculous reveal that was unrealistic and nonsensical - even for pll - and the countless plot holes. Because of the writing, they've ruined the show's legacy for me. And I can't even think about rewatching the show anytime soon, or at all to be honest. Because I know if I do, it'll make me angry and I will feel betrayed and hurt over the show all over again. It makes me sad saying this about a show which has been my favourite and has been with me through a huge part of my life. But that is the truth. I do care about the characters. But the mystery is dead to me now. Maybe in the future I can get over it and rewatch it. I doubt that is going to happen, though.

Are you going to watch the Perfectionists?Sasha said Sara Shepard is involved, do you think this could be important to the story? Will this control the quality? Will we get the impossible with Marlene King and have a story without holes?Honestly, we better not have high expectations after the finale of pretty little liars, do you plan to follow the new series and post theories?
I had no plans to watch it if it featured a brand new cast just because I didn’t want to give Marlene the opportunity to disappoint me again. But then it got announced that it’s a PLL spinoff featuring Ali and Mona who are two of my favourite characters. I still didn’t know how I felt about it but curiosity is getting the better of me so I have decided that I will watch it.
Will I obsessively watch it and make daily theories on it? Absolutely not. If there is something that the experience of watching Pretty Little Liars  has taught me, it is not to expect anything of quality from any show Marlene is involved in creating. We have seen her lie, time and time again, care only about ratings over the quality of story telling, listen only to fans who support her shows because of the involved ships and unable to take constructive criticism from fans who are disappointed - instead she has labelled it as ‘hate’. Point being, a show creator who isn’t open to differing views about their work and willing to improve themselves, and instead thinks everything they create is a masterpiece can never a) acknowledge their mistakes b) learn from it. So I don’t want to spend time re-watching episodes (provided the show is actually good to begin with) and creating theories from it when it could turn out to be just as inconsistent and confusing as the plot of PLL. Even calling it a plot makes me laugh because when you look at the whole PLL story, where it started off, a mystery about the disappearance of Alison and ended with a secret all-knowing twin finishing the ultimate game despite never having stepped in America let alone Rosewood until she was an adult. LOL.
I, personally, don’t want to get myself attached to a show that will more likely than not disappoint me the way PLL has by its finale. I can only hope involving Sara improves the show but I am not expecting it. I may make little posts here and there if I am inspired to make theories. I don’t think its important enough for everyone to watch. The main reason it is a spinoff is so Marlene can bring the original PLL audience to this new series instead of risking her show being cancelled due to low ratings because of a complete new cast.

Let’s just appreciate the lineup…
Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists
Freeform series starring Janel and Sasha, written by Marlene, based on Sara Shepard’s book but with a twist on a twist.
The Heiresses
ABC (Freeform?) series starring Shay, written by Marlene, based on Sara Shepard’s book.
Life Sentence
Dramedy with Lucy on The CW (Lucy worked with some of the same directors from PLL)
You
Lifestyle thriller miniseries with Shay co-starring
Famous in Love (another Marlene show)
My heart would be complete if Troian and Ash landed a role in a TV show too, but I totally understand wanting to take some time off and do some different things.

I gained 70-ish pounds over like two years. It was really, really hurtful the way people reacted. People were saying stuff like, ‘she’s pregnant’, ‘you’re fat.’ They were angry, they were mad that I look like this. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever been through. I had no idea what was going on and I didn’t have any way of solving it. Very recently I was diagnosed with PCOS, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, a hormone imbalance. Finally, I knew why this was happening to me. Now I’m seeing results, I think most importantly, I’m feeling like me again. Being on the show, I’ve lost over 15 pounds. I just want to be healthy.

I guess I can talk about it, because, obviously Marlene is changing it a little bit. It’s about this perfect town called Beacon Heights, where there is a really rich family that owns the town basically. They know everything about everyone and their daughter is the first person to die. It’s an accident in the town… or maybe not. And for some reason Alison is in the town and I can’t tell you why…

And we need Marlene as less involved in writing the story as possible (even though it is her show so I don't know how that's possible)
For the spinoff:
1. We need Emison
2. We need Smart, incredible, sassy Mona
3. We need badass bitch Ali
4. We need a good stylist, who will dress Sasha like the queen she is and respect her incredible body
5. We need plotlines without plotholes
6. We need input from Sara Shepard
7. Did I mention we need happy, in love Emison???

Hello people! 😊 I popped back here after a long break because of the news that came out today, about the PLL spinoff.
I had been dying for a Mona spinoff but I really don’t know how I feel about it now that it has been confirmed. I think the bitter taste of the finale is still in my mouth (I still haven't rewatched the finale, not even once or any other pll episode). I’m curious for sure. I will probably check it out because I can’t not, you know?
How have you all been?❤ It’s been 2+ months since I last logged into this account but somehow it feels like half a year has passed! I’ve missed the daily conversations and the banter for sure.

Pretty Little Liars Spin-Off ‘The Perfectionists’ announced - Sasha/ Janel to star-
“Ali and Mona are back!
Freeform has ordered a new drama pilot, Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, from Warner Horizon Scripted Television, it was announced today by Karey Burke, Freeform’s executive vice president, Programming & Development. “At Freeform, we are committed to delivering shows that push boundaries and become a part of our viewers lives. Pretty Little Liars was a cultural phenomenon so it’s no wonder fans wanted more.” said Karey Burke, executive vice president, programming and development, Freeform. “We can’t wait to continue Marlene King’s rich and revolutionary storytelling with a new crop of leading ladies from Beacon Heights who will hold just as many secrets and lies as Rosewood did.” “I’m beyond excited to continue my collaboration with Sara Shepard, Alloy, Freeform and Warner Horizon,” says Marlene King. “I can’t wait to introduce our fans – and Sasha and Janel – to a new world of thrills and chills in Beacon Heights.” Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, is based on the popular book series The Perfectionists, written by Sara Shepard, who also penned the #1 New York Times bestselling book series Pretty Little Liars. Everything about the town of Beacon Heights seems perfect, from their top-tier college to their overachieving residents. But nothing in Beacon Heights is as it appears to be. The stress of needing to be perfect leads to the town’s first murder. Behind every Perfectionist is a secret, a lie and a needed alibi. Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists is produced by Alloy Entertainment and Long Lake Media in association with Warner Horizon Scripted Television.”

Toby - look at the pages! Also Toby - takes a year to look at the pages.
Tell me about it. I said this similar thing before the reveal as part of my argument against the possibility of twincer but turns out realism has no boundaries in rosewood.
