Yo let’s talk about something. Most of us grew up watching Twilight as tweens/teenagers or young adults. We fell in love with it with our friends or moms or someone who also loved it. Yet, because of how widely hated the franchise seemed to be, we hid it. No one could know that we loved Twilight. No one had to know that we truly were invested in the Team Edward or Team Jacob. That we saw the movies in theaters or binged them at home. That when no one else was around we’d be channel surfing, find New Moon was on, and watch it, fully engrossed. That we secretly kept the books at home, and had posters of the cast on our walls.

I remember being so ashamed of loving Twilight for the longest time. Still getting judged to this day for my love of it. So having this blog and the twilight renissance? It means the world to me.

Since I recently came back to the roleplay world I just wanted to take some time and reflect. I joined the world around 2012 when I belonged to a skins rpg. Since then I’ve been in roleplays for TVD, Twilight, indie rp, Fandom rpgs and I just want to say thank you to everyone who I’ve ever interacted with. It’s hard to put yourself out there not knowing what you are going to get back. I’ve made everlasting friendships and I truley mean it when I say thank you for the best times in my life.

To my Carlisledear family: Most of these blogs started out as a joke from my indie rp blog. I’ll always remember the days of @carlislesdearfriendaro​ and the plant. I think I was one of the first ten blogs to show up for this. I just wanted to thank you for the opportunity I’ve had. If your still here or if you stopped a long time ago I will always remember our crazy adventures. You all gave me an outlet to let out my Twilight Days again. From Chelseas failed marriage, Alice losing Jasper or “Fake” Carlisle I will remember it all. To me the era of Carlislesdear will and always has been iconic. I still remember seeing popular twilight blogs answer messages about our roleplay and even if they weren’t always positive it still amazed me the magnitude of the twilight world we reached.

For those of you who have gotten to this point thank you. Even if you are just a follower of my trash blog I want to say thank you for following the crazy. Don’t worry I’m not going anywhere. I’ll probably be running this blog till the day I die. I’m thankful for each and every one of you. Thanks for keeping me going

Edward attacking Bella? Brilliant. Amazing. Genius level. More meaningful plot. Better character development.

You can’t tell me that while Alice was planning the wedding Bella was going through a bucket list of stupid human stuff she wanted to do. Emmett facilitates all of them.

I wish we could have gotten to see Bella struggle with letting Edward back into her life. Instead we got some half assed half-asleep-Bella-logic “oh you DO love me”.

Instead we could have seen for that first night when Bella wakes up from Italy she’s relieved to see Edward and it’s everything she wanted and she fully throws herself into loving him again. Then the next morning when she’s sobered up she realizes that Edward can leave her again at any time and so can his family despite their promises. They’ve broken their promises before so what stops them from doing it again?

Eclipse is set in where Bella tries (and fails) not to become so attached to him like the first time. Keeping him at arms length so that the next time he leaves it won’t hurt as much. Same with Alice and the rest of his family. They all notice that she is more distant than before.

She tries to find ways to not spend every second of the day with him despite how much she enjoys his company. She insists on driving herself to school and back alone. Instead of Edward coming to her house for dinner every night she insists she has to “study”. Sometimes she wishes she was strong enough to turn him away when he comes into her room at night, but she tells herself it’s better than screaming in her sleep.

Give me a Bella that is insecure in her relationship. Always thinking in the back of her mind “is this what makes him leave again?” I think It would be a nice full circle back to how in the beginning Edward was the one avoiding Bella because he was afraid he would hurt her. Now Bella is the one avoiding Edward.

The story progresses about Bella falling in love with him again despite her efforts. Eclipse really should have been a story about forgiveness, but instead we got a shitty love triangle.

There’s a lot of things about the Breaking Dawn pt.2 movie that are unforgivable (renesmee’s whole existence) but I never see anyone talk about how truly bad some of the makeup was in that movie. Like you turn on ANY scene in that movie and there is a 50/50 chance the vampire face makeup is not blended into their necks. And if you don’t believe me, go look at the scene where Emmett’s in a white tank top in good lighting. And what the FUCK was Jane’s eyeliner??

Like we deadass saw that shit in HD on the big screen and they thought no one would notice like I’m-
