Of all Star Wars films, RotJ is particularly wild to watch with all the extended universe context. Somewhere near this goofiness with the Ewoks, Rex, Twilight Company, Inferno Squad and others are engaged in various savage running battles. Sinjir is killing Blevins. And just after this, Poe's mum will almost shoot Luke down. Wyll Lark is just offscreen here, watching Luke ceremoniously burn Vader and feeling deeply confused. Enjoy that celebration while you can, people of Theed City, because you'll be fighting to fend off Operation Cinder within a week. And last but not least, I wonder which of those huts the Damerons are fucking in?

There's an amazing scene in Twilight Company where the protagonist sits down with Han and they talk about whether they believe in any of this stuff, and he has no idea who this bloke is. Han is just some guy to him, he's that much of an everyman.
So yeah, I think Din would relate.
Han Solo would get along so well with Din djarin. My reasoning? Han was the original normal guy in star warsᵗᵐ. He didn't believe in the Force, he was a weed dealer, he only got involved in the Rebel business because Luke badgered him into it. He only got away with it because the audience was as oblivious to star wars as he was at the time, unlike din. They're also both the 'lone wolf type who found something to care for and then became extremely loyal to that' types. They would have the time of their lives complaining about the banthashit their friends get them into.
Din djarin is Han solo if han got picked up by mandos and learned Helmet instead of sass as a defense mechanism. They're long lost brothers. They're even around the same age! (Han being born at 32bby and Din being born around 30bby)
Or maybe they would despise each other because they're too similar. It's either love or hate between these two

Yor has always been sensitive to touch. She’s not a big fan of hand holding or random hugs, she really enjoyed her personal space. The only people who could regularly break that barrier are Anya, Yuri and Bond. But recently, Twilight has noticed a change in her. She grabs his hand more often, not in a panic just casual. She wipes his face or ruffles his hair. When they sit next to each other she would sometimes put her hand on his thigh while reaching for the remote.
It was all small touches. Harmless and meaningless in the grand scheme of things. But Twilight couldn’t help but wonder what had changed the she went form locking her hands behind back to swinging them casually, unaffected by the occasional brushes.

carlos sainz/oscar piastri, 6.8k, rated e
“You see?” Carlos asks, hanging up the phone. “He does not pick up.”  Oscar shrugs, unsure why Carlos seems to think this is his problem. Just because Oscar's his teammate doesn’t mean he knows where Lando is at all times, like some sort of twink-seeking missile.  Then Carlos says, “I wait for him in here,” and nods to himself. He’s walking into Oscar’s hotel room before he can stop him, and all Oscar can do is blink stupidly at the empty stretch of hallway where Carlos once stood.

Twilight Company is the most outrageously excellent Star Wars book. Not to say it's the very best, because Stover's Revenge of the Sith, Phasma and Light of the Jedi exist, but Twilight Company is brilliant and it's kind of absurd that it's so good. It's the novelisation of a game with no sodding story mode, yet it rules. It puts you in the boots of a Rebel rando. It's visceral. It packs ferocious action. It's terrifying. It breaks your bloody heart and puts it back together (then cracks it again)

it really feels out of nowhere. It really doesn't seem like all that long ago since mane 6 were excitedly talking about all of their plans for the story mode and stuff beyond the first season pass. There must have been some very sudden very severe issues and while I'd like to know what happened (especially as an original backer of the project) I doubt we're gonna hear anything too revealing. Overall I'm really excited for the final 2 characters and I'll keep tfh in my heart and always recommend it to people as a fun as hell fighting game
fingers crossed SOMEWHERE down the line that they get to tell the story they want in some form; fighting games have a way of extending their shelf life and community far past the time when the original creators have moved on. still, though, can't help but feel it has something to do with the acquisition, just at a cursory glance.

more Linked Company!!! and the end of the hiatus!!!
this chapter is a little different (and a little shorter too)! if you've played/watched lethal company, you probably know that after 3 days, you go to the company and sell your scrap. so this is a lore chapter :3
preview under the cut!!
Four stretches, cracking his neck. His fellow employees are still asleep, resting peacefully (for the most part. Twilight’s twitching in his sleep, but he doesn’t seem distressed). Quietly, the smallest employee takes his place at the ship’s computer terminal, gently clacking away at the keys. After their day on moon 56-Vow, he’s almost certain the rest of the team would rather go somewhere else. Time, especially, had his qualms with the place, despite his lack of elaboration on the subject.
Four pulls up the list of moons, scanning through them.
41-Experimentation
220-Assurance (Eclipsed)
56-Vow (Stormy)
21-Offense
61-March
20-Adamance (Rainy)
He remembers 41-Experimentation– he didn’t particularly enjoy it there. Plus, they need to make money, right? Compared to their days on 220-Assurance and 56-Vow, Experimentation wasn’t very profitable. Even if it’s clear today, moon 41-Experimentation just doesn’t seem like a worthwhile place to go.
But that’s a problem, because both Assurance and Vow have weather conditions. Four isn’t sure how different it would be if they went to Assurance eclipsed or Vow stormy, but he isn’t really in the mood to find out.
The next moon on the list is 21-Offense. Four squints, examining the screen.
POPULATION: Abandoned.
CONDITIONS: Believed to have splintered off from its cousin 220-Assurance, Offense features similar jagged and dry conditions but differs in its ecosystem.
HISTORY: 21-Offense is categorized as an asteroid moon and seems to have not existed on its own for more than several hundred years. The industrial artifacts here have suffered damage; it’s believed they were built long before 21-Offense was splintered off.
FAUNA: A competitive and toughened ecosystem supports aggressive lifeforms. Travelers to 21-Offense should know it's not for the faint of heart.
Four is on board until the last two sentences. “Aggressive lifeforms” was on the label for 56-Vow as well, and… well, they all saw what happened to Wind. But if 21-Offense was previously part of 220-Assurance, then… surely it’s similar enough?
Still, he doesn’t like the “not for the faint of heart” warning. Really, though… are any of the moons for the faint of heart? Four would argue no.
Sighing, he reroutes them to moon 21-Offense. The ship jolts– subsequently, an alarm blares.
In an instant, eight employees are sitting up in various stages of panic.
Legend is quick to his feet, lightly shoving Four away from the control lever. “What are you doing?!” He hisses, brows pinched. “Are you trying to get us killed?!”
Four shakes his head. “No, no, I-”
“Boys.” Time’s voice leaves no room for argument, and both Legend and Four are silenced. “Legend, keep in mind that not everyone here has your experience.” He turns to Four. “And Four. Until you become more familiar with the way these contracts work, I’d advise you ask before making any decisions that affect the team.”
Four nods slowly. “Okay.” His brows furrow. “Is there something wrong with moon 21-Offense?”
Hyrule’s ears pin back.
Wars shakes his head. “No, it’s not the choice of moon.” He points up at the monitors above. “Up there. The second monitor tells us how many days remain. It says 0 days, so that means it’s Company Day.”
-> read the rest on ao3!!
