//i have been writing tweek with meth-induced psychosis, which later develops into a full psychotic disorder, as it does with 5% of meth users who get sober. for most people, meth-induced psychosis fades away within a few weeks to a few months of sobriety, but in those 5%, they just have it for life, and tweek ends up as one of them bc of how heavy and consistent his usage was in his formative years

but in verses where he's either not on meth at all (metro) or gets sober much sooner (the casino au i have with patrick), i've been... not writing him as psychotic there bc if it was meth-induced and he wasn't on the substance long enough... well...

but i feel really weird taking it from him actually bc i have never liked to write "selectively" disabled muses whose disabilities (be they physical or mental) change depending on what verse they're in. this is why arya in my personal GoT rewrite stays blind, despite living in a world where her blindness can be magically healed. and in the modern overwatch au i was writing with my friend bre, junkrat is still missing two of his limbs. it's always felt pretty ableist and insulting to me when characters have verses in which they are more - quote, unquote - """normal,""" with their disabilities removed for plot convenience or whatever

so, i'm thinking i'm going to keep tweek psychotic with his hallucinations and stuff across all verses. just how they manifest and how well he is able to cope with / manage them changes. for example, in the metro verse, the origin of his hallucinations might be a bit more supernatural, brought on by his interactions with the dark ones, whose Visions continue to plague him even after they are almost entirely eradicated. in the cyberpunk universe, he's a cyberpsycho, on account of his parents forcing entirely more implants on him than his preteen body is really equipped to handle. in the casino au, he's an adult, mature, with much easier access to therapy and medication, and therefore, he manages it much better, but that au goes south for him very fast and he ends up under a LOT of stress, and i can see the Horrors creeping up on him again

when clyde is playing mosquito it fascinates me so much. his personality changes to this confident, brave, outspoken and /compassionate/ kid. I like to think that's how he truly is deep down, far away from peer pressure from his friends :(

controversial but i think he majors in engineering, and eventually does something related to it, whatever that may be, but he does minor in art because that benefits his engineering major (and he likes making red racer fanart)
