Both of you sat up as you cradle the scared little animal in your hands, trying to untangle the wool that was wrapped around his body. “My God, Harry, I was worried sick about you, please never disappear like that again.” both you and Isaac breathed a sigh of relief at the now rescued critter.

That is when you looked up and noticed that Harry wasn’t the only hedgehog who had been injured, “Isaac, your hand!” You stood up and offered Isaac a hand up, you then gently took his hand in yours and led him to your room. You sat him down on your bed and gently started treating the injury as Harry had made himself comfortable, now sleeping on your pillow. While treating Isaac’s injury, you started chatting away with him. You could see him blushing profusely from embarrassment so you decided to tell him about the book you were reading before the whole fiasco. At the mention of the science book, Isaac instantly perked up and met your enthusiasm ten fold. After his wound was wrapped and treated, the two of you sat in deep conversation for the second time that week, chatting all about science and your mutual love for the subject. Isaac loved your inappropriate jokes and twisted humour and would bust out into uncontrollable laughter whenever you would crack a joke. One time as the two of you were sitting on the fountain’s edge eating some ice cream, you saw a man falling up stairs. As hard as you tried, you couldn’t keep a poker face, it just wasn't in you, especially when Isaac had just witnessed the exact same scene and was now looking at you and snickering. Of course, being the sweet angels you were, you rushed to see if the man was alright, however, your walk home with Isaac was filled with jokes and endless laughter of the days events. 

Ooh how Isaac had fallen head over heels for you, his favourite thing in the world was to hear you sing and play the piano. He would silently walk into the piano room whenever you played, and just let the beautiful sounds wash away his weariness of the day. He would shower you with endless compliments, even more so, when you would deny them, saying that you aren’t that good. These playful little banter fights usually end with him tickling you. He usually won’t give up until you admit that you are the best singer and piano player in the whole mansion. Cue Mozart walking in like challenge accepted.

The night Isaac finally confessed his feeling for you was on, one warm summers night. The night started of with Isaac taking you out to watch a musical concert. He knew just how much you love music. Before he had met you, he had never really bother taking the time to listen to music, as he had always been far to absorbed with his own work, to stop and smell the flowers. However since meeting you, he found himself utterly enjoying going to the opera and musical concerts and letting himself just get absorbed by the sound of music. He loved the way your eyes gleamed as you watched and listened to the performance. 

After the concert, he lead you out into the garden, where his telescope had been all set up. The two of you sat together and stargazed while Mozart played some romantic classical music in the background, which was arranged by the resident hedgehog himself. Somewhere between the beautiful sight of the stars and the gentle melody playing in the background. Isaac build up the courage to finally reveal to you just how madly in love he was with you. He then produced a bunch of red roses out of thin air and resting in the roses was a card with a hand-drawn meme ( courtesy of Sabastian) asking you in the most hilarious way to stay in the past with him. The two of you met in a sweet kiss and the rest of the evening was spent cuddled in each other’s arms under the stars.

Both of you are pretty touch starved creatures, so expect to be cuddled, snuggled, kissed and hugged whenever Isaac comes across you. Like if Isaac spots you in the garden hanging laundry he will give you the biggest hug from behind, kiss your neck and then tell you how much he loves you, before he is off with Napo to teach the children.  

Don’t worry about your impulsive behaviours, bottled up emotions or a quick temper. Isaac might be new to the whole human behaviour thing but he is very in-tune with your emotions and he will instantly pick up when you are feeling upset or angry. He will aim to fix every and all problems immediately, especially if it is causing you hurt or upset. This also counts for when you are over stressing yourself, about putting too high an expectation on yourself. If he sees you getting angry, stressed or frustrated, he will pull you into his arms and gently stroke your hair, you can’t be angry when you are being so gently held and loved. Isaac will sit an listen to all your troubles. 

He always encourages you to communicate whenever you are having negative emotions so he can help you through it the best way he knows how, with cuddles. He would usually make you a cup of coffee and pull you into his lap and cuddle you, as you unpack everything and anything that had upset you that day. He will patiently listen and leave small little kisses on your cheeks to remind you that he is there for you and will support you no matter what

Although I was deeply torn between another character, I believe the suitor you’d be best with is: Sasuke Sarutobi!

I honestly feel like a relationship between you two would be like an, “opposites attract,” type of deal. But despite this, you two still would share a lot of common interests! Unlike all of the other guys, he understands you. He was born and raised in the same time period as you! He knows everything a normal person would from the 2000′s, he’s watched movies, listened to similar music, enjoyed memes, and understands references! Sasuke has made it very clear that he too, is quite the history guru. His former job in modern times was being a scientist. (Although it was never mentioned, I strongly feel like he enjoyed anime before he was sent back in time.) And he loves to not only learn, but teach what he knows! First of all,We cant fucking get out of depression,it takes time,and even after you still have left over sadness,If we could get out of depression,WE WOULD,Believe me,If I could,I would at least. No human wants to sit around in guilt and shame over themself,Its horrible.

Second,Have you taken time to consider that home,wealth,family,and food may be a problem? People can hate themselves for their family for hating them,people can be worried so much that it covers them in guilt and sadness over money,and sometimes a house isnt always a home,there’s a difference,home is where you feel SAFE,A house that you live in is something you probably dont say if you think your safe,someone might be afraid to go to their house because of abuse from a boyfriend or girlfriend,mom and dad always fighting,drunk dad,drunk mom,and many more reasons. Im actually done. I cant speak without being attacked. My mum has been calling me dellusional for weeks now. She says "youre either a liar or dellusional". Like i know i have EID (BPD) but i am not dellusional. I opened up about the voices too and she said "you got to be kidding me on! You dont hear voices. Youre either possesed or confusing them as your own conscious". Shes finished training to be a councilor but what sort of councilor says this shit. Shes always been this way. Putting me down all the time. Making me feel like my emotions arent valid. All of her ex boyfriends have been fucked up in one way or another. One was a gambling addict who shouted at me for being a child. One was a rapist and paedophile. One slit his wrists infront of us. Ive never felt consistent love in life i guess. My father is an alcoholic asshole who kicked me out when i was 11 because he was drunk. He took all my mothers money and made my mum decorate and paint the house when pregnant. I blame him and his problems for my twin dying in the womb. And i have every right to.

Recently j just escaped an abusive relationship in which i was touched without consent for 5 full months. He was 19/20. I was 16/17. He turned me agaisnt my friends and family and now i get stalked and harrased by him and his friends. I want to go to the police but my mum said theres no point and that it will hurt me more. She wants to stop me from getting help. I geel so lost.

I know some tcc or anti tumblr will call me an attention seeker but at thid point why would i care. I dont want to seem like that. I just need a safe space to vent since im pretty much alone right now.

However, on a brighter note, @stabbedtwice has been here to support me recently. He witnessed the abuse at home and knew my abusive ex. Without him i definetly wouldnt be here today. about that whole "dont call hospital on suicidal person" thing...what are you supposed to do? im not professionally trained to talk someone down, and i cant help them if damage has already been done, or if theyre set on dying.

It entirely depends on the situation.

You're not trained... often neither are the paramedics or police. The difference is that you, or someone you get there, knows the person and knows how to talk to them, you're trusted by them, you're not going to kick the shit out of them and/or lock them up.

If damage is already done (severe enough to need treatment) I'd hope you'd be taking them to the hospital, not calling the police. If that's the case, for example if you've called an ambulance, stay with them, stand up to the paramedics if they're rude, intimidating, threatening - if they're saying "Stop being a baby or we'll leave and you can deal with it on your own." to your friend, don't just give them a pitiful look from the sidelines, get your phone out and start recording the paramedics (not your friend if you can avoid it), tell them that they're behaviour is out of line and you're going to report them for mistreating patients.

Sit and calmly talk to the person, call someone else who cares for them and may be able to help you support them, encourage them to call their normal doctor or mental health professional if it's daylight hours (but don't force it, especially if they're expressing that their doctor has a tendency to overreact and dish out sections - recommend to them that they tell the doctor that they're struggling with a depressed state, rather than using the word "suicidal"). Listen to them, don't talk over them or patronize them or invalidate their feelings, and let them get things off their chest. Food, drink, teddies, a comedy show, a computer game.

What most people, in my experience, get wrong when it comes to talking down (excluding the most common thing, which is fobbing you off on police or paramedics, who mistreat you, physically harm you, lock you up, berate you, and all sorts of other shit... and occasionally, once in a blue moon, actually do a sort of good job) is that they try to talk you out of suicide. Don't bother. You cannot talk this person out of suicide in the state that they're in right now - in fact, you probably can't at all because it's usually an irrational state that came about through mental health issues not through logical debate. What you need to do is get them out of a state where they may act on suicidal thoughts.

That part a paramedic or policeman usually can't do - they don't know anything about your friend, their triggers, what sets them off, what cheers them up, and they have limited tools at their disposal. When you call suicide hotlines, they don't try to talk you out of suicide, they usually tell you to go for a walk, take a bath, have something to eat - they're trying to encourage you to do something that will distract you and give you chance to calm down.

You know your friend best, you know their favourite takeaway, their favourite TV show, what candle smell they like best, which teddy to wiggle the head of and pretend it's talking in a silly voice, which teddy they hug when they cry; if alcohol was involved get them bread and lots of water, and try to sober them up or encourage them to sleep it off.

Like I said in the tags, calling an ambulance/police is still the last resort, but it's the absolute last resort, you need to try everything you can before that. If you even know that something is going on, it's usually because your friend wanted to tell you/wanted for you to find out, so that YOU could help, not so that some stranger in a uniform with cold hands could call them an idiot and attention seeker. The police and ambulances need to be better with this stuff, but until they are please try to help in other ways first, rather than immediately choosing a risky option.

Yeah I used to make up an op character for myself and gave her lots of op friends because I had so much misfortune with friendships, I said 'screw real friends all they bring are arguments, gossip n tears' and made up imaginary friends.

i often felt misunderstood as a kid - i felt like i argued with everyone too much without meaning to and it was my fault and at the same time i felt like it wasn't because my emotions are and always have been way too strong. later people couldn't get into their skulls that i have actual (proven) physical issues and am not just an attention seeker or dont want to attend school. so i made up misunderstood characters and still am now who have a rage mode who often makes them do things they regret in an attempt to save themselves or someone they care about.

When I was arguing with my mother day in and day out for over a year - almost every day for probably atleast two - i used imaginary worlds or imaginary friends to distract myself when things were just too much.

I'm 14 now. I still have most of these issues, I still do some of the same things. they're just not my main characters for the actual writing and art I do anymore, with a few roleplay side-roles being an exception. So please.

Stop telling kids that Mary Sues and Anti Sues are these terrible terrible things that they aren't allowed to do.

You'll make kids, teens and maybe even adults idk im not there yet that are going through hard times be ashamed of how they cope with their issues. It's unhealthy. You can constructively criticise published fiction by adults but please let kids just dream for fucks sake.

And even if they're not going through any hardships, they're kids ffs, let them have their fun.

really though the whole "cringy mary sue oc" thing really is attacking an important outlet for lots of kids... All those tropes have a place in it:

Tragic backstories and lgbt+ identities are clearly signs that those are things that the kids creating the ocs live with. Most of those kids struggle with abuse or are lgbt+, and either way need a character to relate to

Self-inserts who hang out with their favorite character or variations on their favorite character? yeah chances are that kid feels pretty alone and needs to feel like someone who they love and look up to respects them back. see the abuse thing again

"Flawless personality" when you feel like everybody hates you you start to feel like a shit person. so having an oc like you who is also flawless is a place to embrace the things you like about yourself and get more self-confidence. I don't know, this one's hard to explain. See the next one

"Overpowered or underpowered" yeah, an OP oc is usually because the kid feelspowerless and helpless and nobody wants that. a relatable oc or self-insert who has lots of power? instant self-confidence boost. If my oc who's like me can have power, so can I. With underpowered characters that's just an outlet of that same frustration

Anyway yeah cringe culture is dead. All this applies to adults too, not just kids! you're never to old to make a fun character!

Plus not to mention that all this stuff specifically preys on neurodivergent kids.

tw eating disorder and mention of ed triggers and habits

disclaimer: i do not condone or recommend ANY of the things im about to say that i do. i am very unhealthy, both in mind and in body, PLEASE do not do anything that i say i do.

(also im sorry i cant put any keep reading tabs in these posts, but i dont have my laptop with me)

how it started is a hard question, because i don't know if anything truly kicked it off.

i've been overweight my whole life. my parents, my grandparents, my cousins, my aunts and uncles, almost my entire family are all overweight. because we live in the american southern states, where food is usually something that is eaten and eaten until you can no longer stand it. and my family are very versed in that aspect of "southern culture".

but my parents knew what they grew up with, being overweight, and what physical problems they were already facing because of their weight around the time i was born. and, eventually, they were determined that i would not be like them. they had me on my first diet when i was......maybe 6? almost as far back as i can remember. they had me counting calories when i was about 10. they did alllllll the fad diets and made me do it with them, and they still do fad diets all the time. they always told me i was too big, told me i needed to lose weight. and i agreed, i still do (obviously).

i think all of that had a huge impact on developing an ed, for me personally.

as far as triggers, it's complicated.

part of the illness, typically, is the compulsion to trigger yourself intentionally. it can be by looking up things like thinspo/meanspo/sweetspo (if you don't know what any of those are, just let me know and i can explain), watching movies about eating disorders, joining an eating disorder community on social media, watching eating disorder vlogs on youtube, any number of things. (personally, the only two of those that don't affect me are meanspo and sweetspo)

one example i think about a lot when i think about triggering myself at points is this: there was an ateez video in which san mentions wooyoung's weight loss and states how much he lost in how much time.

i saw atiny talking about it on twitter, warning people who could be triggered by it that it was in the video at this specific minute mark, before i saw the video.

so what did i do the moment i heard about this probably very triggering content from someone i love and adore? i played the video and skipped to that minute mark. just to watch that one part.

and hell yeah it was triggering. i think i fasted for a week after i watched that clip over and over and over and over and over and so on.

and that's no fault of san or wooyoung or atiny or anybody, it's my own fault. it was me INTENTIONALLY triggering myself.

edit lol cause i forgot something: sometimes just looking at idols can be my own personal self-triggering method. as fucked up as that is bc of the pressures and diets they get forced into. but it's involuntary. and usually, it isn't that they're so skinny, it's that i'm so.....not. and how they would think of me. (even though the people i stan would not think this way of me, it's just what my disordered thoughts tell me) i look at an idol i love, younghoon for example, and immediately what runs through my mind is how fucking disgusting i am and how he would probably hate me and be just as disgusted with me as i am with myself. even though that is ENTIRELY inaccurate and ridiculous. but those are the involuntary thoughts i have. then i get really sad because for around an hour or two i can't look at my own bias without wanting to cry and it's my own fault.

now, abt continuous or not, I'd say it's not? but it also absolutely is.

there are periods where i eat totally normally, or at least half decently. i don't feel guilty about it either. but in my head, all I'm thinking is... "you're such a faker, if you can eat normally like this then you don't have an eating disorder. stop trying to be a little attention seeker."

but one thing that kind of brings me back to knowing im not faking it is that, fact is: if i was pretending to have an eating disorder, i could stop. i could delete my calorie tracker, i could stop weighing myself every day, i could eat food and never even think about calories, i could delete my fasting tracking apps. but i cant. doing any of that sounds like my worst fucking nightmare.

So tadashi has a bit of a complex when he goes cause he feels like he has to prove himself cause of his family. Then his little brother is the youngest wizard ever to go to the school. So the first few years they have a bit of tension. It's not till one the nerd gang finds out that hiro being hurt by older students that tadashi starts reaching out.

The Hamada parents were a household name - they, not only are incredible scientist and wizards, but also a gorgeous couple that had admirers for years.

Together they managed to combine technology with magic, and it became one of the most popular magic combinations in the wizardly world. It was on the first page of every newspaper, every headline stated what they had done, people talked about it while ordering butterbeer. It was amazing.

Soon, they had a beautiful young boy named Tadashi, and they hoped he would follow their footsteps and make a name for himself as he grew older.

Not letting them down, Tadashi showed minor hints of his abilities at a very young age, such as shrinking outfits and etc. Not suprised at all, the Hamada parents were delighted, and fully expected Tadashi to fully exhibit his abilities at the age of seven.

 However, once Tadashi did turn seven, another beautiful baby boy was born. His name was Hiro, and he had the fluffiest hair any baby could have.

Even more impressing than Tadashi, hiro started showing magical abilities at the age of two, sparking jealously in his older brother. 

distancing himself from his brother, Tadashi focused on himself, school work, his parents and magic.

The hamada parents were unexceptionally proud of their youngest son, making tadashi’s disliking to him even more severe.

but shortly after hiro turned three and Tadashi ten, the hamada parents died.

forced to live with their muggle aunt cass, Tadashi was - without a doubt - angry and upset, and would accidentally cause minor mini explosions whenever he was acting out.

He didn’t care much for hiro, and didnt reach out when he knew his little brother needed help. He let aunt cass do that.

the second he turned eleven, he bid farewell to aunt cass and a hasty goodbye to four year old hiro, and was soon on the train to hogwarts.

On the train he meets honey lemon, gogo, wasabi and fred.

immediately loving his new friends, Tadashi sets out to follow the path of his parents, and is more than happy when the sorting hat pronounces him in gryffindor, just like his parents.

the rest of the nerd gang also end up in gryffindor, much to tadashi’s delight (believe me I know how unrealistic this is considering not all of them are fit for gryffindor, but i want them all to be together if u get what i mean)

The first few years of his life in hogwarts are as tough as Tadashi needs them to be. He works hard, never lacks, flies his way through exams, makes a huge effort to learn magic as quickly as he can, and tries his hardest to be like his parents.

Unbeknownst to him, at home, hiro is becoming more impressive by the minute. Not only a prodigy in robotics and technology, and basically everything in general, hiro is also the smartest wizard under the age of eleven, and quickly sparks interest in the Ministry Of Magic, who adore him.

Tadashi doesn’t pay attention when aunt cass rambles about hiros success at such a young age when he returns for holidays, and hiro quickly learns to not talk or attempt to get his older brother to play with him when hes home, and instead sticks with aunt cass and tries to ignore the bullies at his muggle school.

Starting hogwarts at the startling age of just eight, hiro is nervous as he says a long goodbye to aunt cass, and hopes that he doesnt stick out like a sore thumb.

Thankfully, he makes his own group of friends on the train, and his nervous mind settles,and he begins to get excited.

at hogwarts, hiro waits his turn while the sorting hat takes about 500 years.

hes a little surprised when he lands himself in gryffindor (i kind of see him more as a slytherin, but I need him to be in gryffindor for the au lol)

he makes eye contact with his brother, who is staring at him in a somewhat unpleasant way from where hes sitting at the gryffindor table. It makes hiro nervous.

He’s thankful that three of his friends have landed themselves at gryffindor, while the others are in hufflepuff and ravenclaw.

the four of them sit to eat after the first years have been sorted, and while hiro is happy enjoying this new experience with his friends, he cant help but just notice that his brother is sitting five feet away from him.

Tadashi ignores him, so Hiro doesn’t try to talk to him.

In his first and second year at hogwarts, hiro accomplishes more than Tadashi, creating a huge barrier and tension between them. They walk past each other during classes, see each other at dinner, but neither of them greet each other. Ever.

Hiro is pretty pleased, despite everything, to see that Tadashi is a seeker in quidditch, and a pretty good one too. He wins almost every match, and no matter how much Hiro wants to congratulate him - he doesnt.

at ten, hiro is in his third year at hogwarts, while Tadashi is in his last. 

Third year proves to be tougher for hiro, as while his friends are thirteen and still love him to pieces, they cant always protect him from a few unruly gang of slytherin boys who dislike hiro because of his smarts.

Honey lemon is with Fred the day they spot hiro being punched horribly in the face by a curly haired slytherin, and immediately set out to help.

“Isn’t that tadashi’s little brother?” Honey Lemon says, and soon they’re helping the young boy up.

They go to Tadashi later and explain what happened, and it takes a small while, but Tadashi feels the tension ease and a protective wall build between them.

He smiles at hiro one day when he’s walking with his friends, and completely floors him.

Hiro’s friend had left to use the bathroom when the slytherin gang come back to pick a fight, and Tadashi and Wasabi just happen to be close by.

Tadashi yells at the fifth year slytherin, Samuel Stonewall, and he yells so loud the boy is running away in seven seconds flat.

Wasabi helps hiro up, and leaves the brothers in peace.

“H-hi.” Hiro whispers, staring at the ground and shuffling his feet. 

“Hey…” Tadashi says gently, softly placing a hand on the boys shoulder. He kneels down to look at hiros eyes.

“im so sorry for everything.” Tadashi says, his breath hitching.

He pulls his baby brother into a hug and tells him how proud of him he is, and hiro cries a little and doesn’t let go and tadashi is fine with that because he never knew how much his brother just needed a hug.

Just like magic, the tension between them is lifted. They grin at each other in the hallways, they tap each others shoulder/head whenever passing during breakfast/lunch/dinner.

Their most bonding moment, however, is when hiro has a nightmare and shuffles quietly to Tadashi’s room, careful not to wake the other boys asleep.

He curls around his brothers back, and Tadashi turns around and pulls hiro into a hug, running his hands through his hair and rubbing his back in soothing circles. He kisses hiros hair and whispers to him.

Tadashi rolls onto his back and pulls hiro onto his stomach. Hiro’s knees are curled tighly around his waist and his arms are wrapped tightly around Tadashi’s neck. They sleep like that.

Tadashi says “I love you” to Hiro for the first time when they’re sitting alone together watching the stars. They’d just survived the attack of spiders in the forbidden forest. Hiro is floored once again, but stutters it back and Tadashi laughs and ruffles his hair.

At fourteen, Hiro is in his last year at hogwarts, and Tadashi is working at the Hamada industries, his parents company of wizardry and technology.

Hiro is the youngest graduate of hogwarts ever, and he says heartfelt goodbyes to his friends that have been with him since the beginning, thanks the professors for everything they’d done for him, and makes his way to his brother.

Together, they create world changing magic and technology, and change the Wizardry world, and do the Hamada parents proud.

The one person he developed romantic feelings for, the one person he actually fell in love with, and here they were, apparently about to break up on Valentine's Day. It felt like a big, cosmic joke and Raphael suddenly felt so damn tired.

He heard the sound again and it made his hair stand on end because the creaky wood noise sounded like someone walking very slowly, dragging their feet with every step and it was like right out of a horror movie. Simon suppressed the ridiculous urge to go knock on the door to his mother’s and sister’s room but he also felt like these sounds were far from normal and what if ghosts were real after all?! It was the middle of the night, he was still tired and his brain did not function properly - he was allowed to think stupid shit!

Simon couldn’t tell why it seemed like a good idea to snatch up his key and leave his room but that was exactly what he did. Not to investigate the creepy sounds, he knew how such things turned out and he didn’t have a death wish, but to get further away from the noises. The dimmed lights in the hallway made the old hotel look even eerier and a few steps away from his door he severely regretted the decision to leave his room. He turned around to head back, saw a dark silhouette at the other end of the hallway that definitely moved and…he bolted. No.fucking.way!
