2017 is very close to the end and i wanted to say that this year was hard but very productive for me: i started losing weight, improved my english skills (i hope so ahahah) and also won an english competition (i ranked third, but it means a lot for me), found friends on and off the internet… this list goes on but i want to touch on the topic about friends, especially tumblr friends because y’all hold a special place in my heart. 

@laheys-girll i don’t even need to say anything because you already know how much i love and appreciate you and also you forever stuck with me. i never thought that i’ll find someone like you, you’re an amazing friend and an incredible person who deserves the world and even more. i’ll be eternally grateful to cody christian for you, i mean, seriously. every person needs a friend like you. i hope 2018 will bring you only happiness and love!

A child was taught to lie.

Every year in April, ‘Child Abuse Prevention Month’ is observed in America and is dedicated to raising awareness and preventing child abuse. 

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), child abuse and child maltreatment is defined as "all forms of physical and/or emotional ill-treatment, sexual abuse, neglect or negligent treatment or commercial or other exploitation, resulting in actual or potential harm to the child's health, survival, development or dignity in the context of a relationship of responsibility, trust or power."

Throughout the month of April we will be examining how the Children of God aka The Family International cult, seriously harmed and mistreated thousands of children worldwide through neglect and the infliction of physical, psychological and sexual abuse upon them.

#About Us

We, #cogtfisurvivors, are a group of survivors of the extremist cult, the Children of God, more recently known as The Family International. While we are located in multiple countries, across 5 continents, we have come together this year to achieve our common goals: 

1. Raising awareness of how this cult operates: its methods of recruitment, deception, fraudulent practices, and the various covers they use to mask their operations.

2. Exposing the crimes, past and present, of the cult.

3. Appealing to relevant authorities to hold the cult's leadership - in particular, cult co-founder and current leader, Karen Zerby - responsible for their actions. 

COG/TFI has been involved in the mass abuse of children around the world since the 1960s. Children who are now adults and who need to be heard. We have decided to act now in light of the recent increase in global awareness (MeToo and the Epstein case, amongst others) of the damages caused by abuse, and the need for exposure, validation and justice, no matter how much time has passed. 

We are also determined to expose the lies of COG/TFI, an organisation that has tried to rebrand itself as a mainstream, Christian non-profit organisation, whilst hiding its past crimes and continuing to glorify the perpetrators who committed them.
